Rumor has it that Adele’s boyfriend Simon Konecki is currently
in the market for a diamond ring.
After news revealed the “Rolling in the Deep” singer’s pregnancy, Us Weekly reported that the 38-year-old non-profit CEO is ready for a wedding and a source said, “"He was planning to propose anyway!"

took to her webpage on Friday (June 29) to share, "I'm delighted to announce
that Simon and I are expecting our first child together. I wanted you to hear
the news direct from me, obviously we're over the moon and very excited but
please respect our privacy at this precious time. Yours always, Adele
xx."
The publication goes on to say that a friend revealed that
Adele "wants a low-key affair where her mother gives her away,” adding, “she
wants to be a wife and mom."

Kim attended the BET Awards with Kanye on July 1 and hung out
with Beyonce and Jay-Z all night, but it was clear from just watching the show
that their interactions were a bit awkward. However, a source tells us that
Kanye is totally in love with Kim, but he doesn’t want to jeopardize his
friendship and music by getting caught up in the girl drama.
“Make no
mistake, he really likes Kim and made her feel comfortable the entire night.
They were backstage hamming it up and kissing and just had a fun time,” a source
tells us. “Jay-Z and Kanye are in it to win it and their women will be all right
in time. I’m not saying they’re going to be besties, but they will be
cordial.”

Michael Jordan, was arrested outside a hotel in Omaha. The officer said Jordan,
who appeared to be intoxicated, was arguing with two females. Police told the
paper Jordan became uncooperative when the officer approached him and it
eventually took multiple police officers to handcuff him.
According to the paper, Jordan was booked in the Douglas County Department of Corrections for resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and obstructing. He was since been released.

R &B singer, Kelly Price is known for her sweet
disposition, but now she’s fighting mad! Kelly Price was in Houston, Texas on
her way to another gig in Mobile, Alabama to perform for her fans at the Funk
Fest. Here’s the rundown: Kelly was standing in the premier first class line,
ready to board, when a United Airlines agent asked her to go to the back of the
coach passengers line. Kelly says the agent didn’t even check her ticket [first]
before sending her to the back of the coach line. The singer alleges that the
agent then helped the non-black male in a suit instead. After the employee
realized her mistake, she nor any other United Airlines employees apologized or
corrected their error.
Kelly Price started a petition on Change.org to end the racist
treatment of United Airlines.
Celebs Hit The 2012 ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Music Awards
In Los Angeles The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) hosted its 25th Annual Rhythm & Soul Music Awards at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. The evening paid special tribute to Quincy Jones and Pharrell Williams (shown above with Chad Hugo), and honored the songwriters and publishers of the most performed ASCAP songs on the 2011 R&B/Hip-Hop, Rap and Gospel charts.

Williams was presented with ASCAP’s Golden Note Award, which is given to
songwriters, composers and artists who have achieved extraordinary career
milestones. He said,
“It is an honor to receive The Golden Note Award. ASCAP has
celebrated some of the greatest musicians of our time with this distinction, and
I am humbled to be in their ranks. The work ASCAP has done – and continues to
do – to protect and serve music creators is truly remarkable and it is a thrill
to be recognized by such a respected institution.”
One of the evening's highlights was a special tribute to
legendary music creator Quincy Jones, who was honored with ASCAP's Founders
Award in recognition of his achievements as a producer, composer, entrepreneur
and icon. Babyface presented the award as musical director Michael Beardon led a
tribute performance featuring Marsha Ambrosius and Tyrese.
The Songwriter of the Year award was presented to Canadian
producer Noah "40" Shebib, who penned four of the most performed songs of the
past year. 40 was honored for “Fall for Your Type” (by Jamie Foxx featuring
Drake), “Headlines” (by Drake), “I'm On One” (by DJ Khaled featuring Drake, Rick
Ross and Lil Wayne) and “Marvin's Room” (by Drake).
"Look At Me Now" by Chris Brown featuring Lil Wayne and Busta
Rhymes earned writers Jean-Baptiste Kouame II and Wesley Pentz the Top Rap Song
award and Kirk Franklin's "I Smile" written by James “Jimmy Jam” Harris and
Terry Steven Lewis was named Top Gospel Song.
