Mary J. Blige And D’angelo Team Up For The Liberation Tour This Summer

After separately dazzling the 2012 Essence Music Festival this weekend, R&B veterans Mary J. Blige and D’Angelo are teaming up for a co-headlining tour dubbed the Liberation Tour (Live Nation). D’Angelo appears to have rediscovered his passion for live performances — the tour marks another step in the comeback for the legendary, long-reclusive singer. D’Angelo played his first U.S. show in over a decade when he made a surprise stop at Bonnaroo last month. Although only four East Coast dates for the joint tour have been announced, Mary said that the run will be 20 dates long. Joining them on tour will be opening act Melanie Fiona.
The first announced date of the tour is August 18th in Virginia Beach, and tickets are currently on sale through Live Nation.

The Game & His Crew Beat Up 40 Glocc, and Record Attack

Just the is past weekend rapper The Game, and a former G-Unit rapper 40 Glocc got into a altercation. The Game was filming it while beating the hell out of 40 Glocc. In the video it shows Game confronting 40 Glocc in the middle of a Hollywood street, saying, “You wanna finish it? You wanna finish it right here?”
As 40 tries to flee the scene, Game shouts, “There ain’t gonna be another one, n!gaa.” Game points the camera at his shoes, which show blood stains.
After the fight, 40 Glocc tweeted that the aggressor “chased me down with a pistol … n!gga has to have a gun drawn on me.” The Game denies this.
The claims of an unfair fight didn’t end there, 40 Glocc claims other men were involved in the fight before the camera started recording.

I’m not sure if the video was ever edited out or not to make The Game look like the tougher man but here’s what we can see:

NeNe's Son Collects Two More Mug Shots

While NeNe Leakes and her divorced husband Gregg were enjoying themselves at the Essence Music Festival in New Orleans, NeNe's son Bryson was busy violating his parole and getting locked up again...
Apparently our little Bryson was driving around on a suspended license when he was pulled over and arrested on June 25.
Bryson bonded out for $700, but after his parole officer got news of the arrest he had Bryson picked up on the 4th of July for violating his probation.
As of Sunday Bryson was still in the bing.


Some British Artists don’t have much love for Nicki Minaj

Nicki Minaj was blasted by a couple of British rockers for her inconsiderate behavior at the T in the Park music festival in Scotland...

Nas Spills On Kelis Heartbreak On "Bye Baby" Track

Nas opened his heart about his heartbreak after his divorce with ex-wife Kelis on his brand new track "Bye Baby."
Check out the track For his latest drop off his upcoming Life Is Good album, Nasir is telling the world about his heart ache during and after his divorce from Kelis.

On the "Bye Baby" track, produced by Salaam Remi & 40, Mr. Jones talks about Kelis' daddy issues, lying, cheating & the drama surrounding his heart break.  He also talked about them deciding on the final split when Kelis was 7 months pregnant, and now that they have a beautiful son that is a perfect mix of both of them, it hurts to have to tell her (and their life together) good bye.  He also mentioned that Kelis having a screaming match with 20 racist cops in Miami one night was one of the highlights of his life.


Gabrielle Union on How Her Career was Hurt by D. Wade Divorce

*For some, it’s real simple. Gabrielle Union is a home wrecker.
Gabrielle Union recently revealed how the drama with Dwyane Wade's ex-wife had a negative impact on her career.  She said that Siohvaughn Funches presenting an image of Gabby as a homewrecker was very difficult for her.  
“It’s hard because, aside from loving him, I want to protect myself. I’ve built my life. I built my own brand. I built my career and my career took a hit from that madness because some people refuse to see the truth, even when it’s presented to them time and time again. I love him but at some point it’s about self preservation."
She added, 
“I pay for my family. I pay for my mommy and my daddy and my sisters and her family. ‘D’ doesn’t write those checks, I do, so when something is starting to affect the way I make a living, ‘no no no baby,’ let me figure out a way for me to protect our home that me and Dwyane have with the kids.”
And Gabby spoke lovingly of Dwyane's kids saying, 
“You have to put their love of their mom, their love of peace of mind and love of consistency first, and then I have to make sure I can still feed my own family. Luckily, by taking the high road and not engaging in the back and forth craziness, I was able to do both. Luckily, by doing the right thing and putting the children first, it worked out that I was able to save myself.”

Anthony Anderson And Tempestt Bledsoe To Star In New Nbc Comedy This Fall

Anthony Anderson and former Cosby Show star Tempestt Bledsoe, are teaming up for a new sitcom, that will debut on NBC in the fall. The show is called, Guys With Kids and produced by Jimmy Fallon. The show will feature Anthony and Tempestt as one of three families, where the focus is on the challenge of the guys raising their kids. Anthony is a stay-at-home dad who cares for his four kids—including twins under age 2—while Tempestt is his working wife. Anthony and Tempestt said they were excited to be on a show that features a “positive black family on network television.”
 “We just don’t have that right now, not on network television,” said Anthony, who has two children of his own. “Like the Cosby Show, this will be an opportunity to see the love, support, humor and beauty of a black family on TV.”

Other stars on Guys with Kids include Jamie Lynn-Sigler of The Sopranos and actors Zach Cregger and Jesse Bradford. One of the characters is a single dad, another is a working father. 


Tami Roman a No-Show at Evelyn & Chad’s Wedding

Well I’m sure you all know that Basketball Wives’ Evelyn Lozada and NFL’er Chad Ochocinco made it official and jumped the broom on July 4th.  While we know that cast-mate Shaunie O’Neal attended (s/o to Twitter), we recently discovered that cast-mate Tami Roman was not in attendance. Shaunie confirmedTami’s absence to VH1 over the weekend.
She explained:
 “I don’t want to speak for anybody….Tami was invited, but I don’t know. It was far… St. Maartin is a trek.”
I guess she couldn’t afford a plane ticket?

Pastor Called For BOYCOTT! Against Meek Mills and Meek responds!

Rapper Meek Mill lashed out at a Philly pastor who called for a boycott of his "Amen" track. During the rant, the Maybach Music rapper revealed his own thoughts on God.
Meek Mill called into Hot 107.9 in Philly with Q Deezy recently to address Pastor Jomo K. Johnson of Philly, who accused him of blasphemy for his song "Amen" from his Dreamchasers 2 mixtape.  Just so you know what we're talking about here, here's the hook:
Now there's a lot of bad bitches in the Explainbuilding (Amen)

Pastor Johnson, of Philadelphia’s Open Air Church in Philadelphia, called for a boycott of the song saying,
“All behavior starts with a belief.  As young men and women are indoctrinated with this music, this belief, especially him [Meek] being from North Philadelphia, they’re going to follow what he does. I see it firsthand. I go door-to-door in North Philadelphia, I state it again, he left North Philadelphia I still live there."  He added, “As a Hip-Hop fan, I decided to check it out ['Amen'] and listen to the lyrics.  I was just completely shocked that Meek Mill, knowing that Philadelphia is a highly religious community, he would choose to make a song thanking the good Lord, for things that are completely contrary to the holiness of God.”

Well.......there's a good reason the Meek Mill can easily speak contrary about God.   He doesn't believe in him!  During a rant about the pastor, he accused him of seeking attention then shockingly added that he doesn't even believe in God.  
He also said, 
“The way I’m looking at it is, you want to be famous. You want some money, or you’re trying to get your church some money,  If you want that, you could have came to me and said that, or we could have had a talk about this. I’m out here feeding my family. For you to be talking about you trying to ban me? I done took 20, 30 drug dealers off the street. I’m out here passing out them coats to them kids, where was you at?”
Meek says he was raised in the church but quickly said he doesn't want to hear about all that and sounded like he said he doesn't even really believe in God.  “I don’t want to hear nothing you’re talking about on that tip, I’m talking about reality."

The Pastor reiterated in the interview that Meek said he doesn't believe in God, so it explains why he would do the song.  Meek didn't refute it.  Whether it was a mistake of words or what he really meant, we're just reporting what was said in the interview.
Pastor Jomo followed up Meek's rant with a snarky statement of his own.  He said, "F Meek Mill.  The F stands for forgive.”

WOW.....All I'll say is this Rap has truly become a COMMERCIAL entity!.


Zimmerman was Preparing to Flee the Country Before Being Rearrested

*A lot of people find it unbelievable that Trayvon Martin’s killer, George Zimmerman, is back on the streets after being granted a $1 million bond.
Zimmerman had been rearrested when the prosecution alerted the judge that he and his wife had lied and mislead the court about how much money they had in various bank accounts.
Now we find out that the Zimmermans were preparing to flee the country with the money raised from donations on his website. But in spite of that, as noted above, he was still granted bail, according to ABC/Yahoo News.
Zimmerman, whose bail was raised to $1 million, “was preparing to flee to avoid prosecution, but such plans were thwarted,” Judge Kenneth Lester wrote in the bond order released (Thursday).
Lester berated Zimmerman for misleading the court about how much money he and his wife had stashed in bank accounts. In June, prosecutors proved to the court that Zimmerman had tried to appear indigent to the judge, when in reality he had hundreds of thousands of dollars that supporters had donated to help his legal defense.
Lester said that Zimmerman “flaunted the system,” by misleading the court about how much cash he and his wife had in bank accounts.
Zimmerman was out on $150,000 bond when the ruse was discovered by prosecutors. He had been charged in April with second-degree murder for killing the unarmed 17-year-old in February.
Zimmerman quickly created a website through which supporters could donate money to go toward his defense fund. Lester said it was easy to conclude that Zimmerman was going to use the money raised through the website to flee.
“It is entirely reasonable for this court to find that, but for the requirement that he be placed on electronic monitoring, the defendant and his wife would have fled the United States with at least $130,000 of other people’s money,” Lester wrote.
Even though the judge stipulated his bail would be $1 million, it’s still baffling to a lot of folks why Judge Lester would even think of allowing Zimmerman to be released again. But apparently that’s the law.


Natalie Nunn's New Husband Caught Cheating?

The other night, in a flurry of Tweets that have since been deleted, former Bad Girl's Club star Natalie Nunn appeared to have caught her husband Jacob Payne cheating...

Juwan And Jenine Howard RENEW Their Wedding Vows

NBA champion Juwan Howard and his lovely wife Jenine celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary by renewing their vows at the lavish Villa by Barton G.  And an extra lavish wedding cake from Divine Delicacies Custom Cakes™, who also made their after party cake.

The gorgeous event was produced by celebrity lifestyle manager Amaris Jones.

 

The happy couple still looked so in love...10 years later.

Juwan and Jenine also had special moments with their parents.

Mrs. Adrienne Bosh was on the scene of course.

Adrienne got cozy with Chris.

Afterwards, the Howards partied the night away at the FDR lounge in the Delano hotel sponsored by Remy V.

Kelis' Tax Problems Span Far and Wide

Last week news got out that Kelis owed the State of New York over $300,000 in back taxes for 2004 and 2010 
Yeah well, that was just the state of New York...
The state of California and The Fed want a piece of that arse too.
According to TMZ Kelis owes the state of California $61,737 for 2009 and 2010 and the Federal Government more than $200,000 for the same time period.
Kelis, Lauryn Hill and R Kelly should just go on tour together. Problem solved.
