“Pose” Star Dominique Jackson Strikes a Pose for V Magazine!

The actress, author, and activist Dominique Jackson speaks to V magazine‘s Kevin Ponce about ballroom culture, toxic masculinity, and how she separates Elektra from Dominique. Photographed by Lia Clay Miller and styled by Sam Knoll.

“People perceiving that I am Elektra 24/7 can be a bit draining [but] I am grateful because if they think I am Elektra [every day], then it means that I am doing my job. One thing that I would always love for people to know is that they only see the end result. They see the glamour but they don’t know the hours of hard work and dedication. I wish that people would not immediately think that [because] she’s on TV, she has money—it gets really draining [when] people that are asking for things. I remember I had about $15,000 worth of requests and I only had like $3,000 in my bank account and I [would] send money out and my rent came in and couldn’t pay it. I would think [to myself], ‘here’s this girl on TV—everyone else is happy and [yet], I have nothing.’ So I had to stop that and now I am in a space of looking out for [myself]. I feel as trans women, we will give people the world but they will never be considerate of us. A lot of times we are bullied into doing things and then told that we don’t belong.”
"And what are they gonna do? Is it gonna be Gregg and NeNe, you're gonna give them another reality show? That's boring," she said. "How about it NeNe being a grandmother? That's boring. NeNe and her own kids, that's boring. NeNe trying to figure out Hollywood, that's boring."

#RHOA: NeNe Leakes Goes after Wendy Williams, Calls Andy Cohen ‘Racist’ After They Discuss Her RHOA Exit!
NeNe Leakes is firing back after Wendy Williams weighed in on her exit from The Real Housewives of Atlanta during a chat with Bravo boss Andy Cohen.
During a Sunday night appearance on Watch What Happens Live, Williams, 56, said she does not think that Leakes' recent decision to quit the hit Bravo series ahead of its 13th season will be permanent.

"NeNe is my friend, and I know her as Linnethia, I don't know her as this person on reality TV, just what I watch," Williams told Cohen, adding, "I believe that this is not a truth."
"NeNe has quit the show several times and you'll have her back," she added. "NeNe likes attention, dramatic attention. I don't know what NeNe's going to be doing for money, I'm not trying to count coins, but the Housewives is that one thing that all the girls use to promote their other stuff."
Cooking up a fantastic three-course meal to pair with three classic Tequila Don Julio cocktails has never been more alluring.
Williams also rattled off ideas for spinoffs surrounding Leakes, deeming them all "boring."

"Listen, she probably has a lot of opportunities and hopefully she will come back at some point," Cohen said.
"She did say that the phone is ringing," Williams pointed out.
"Yeah, I don't doubt it," the host added. "I think her phone is always ringing, she's done a million other shows."
Following the WWHL interview, Leakes, who recently claimed that Bravo "forced" her out of RHOA, sent a flurry of angry tweets.

"Both are f their ratings are LOW! Bye QUEENS," the reality star, 52, wrote.
In a second tweet, Leakes alluded to Williams' past cocaine addiction , writing, "She on cocaine so they should stop using her to talk! They both need my help with their poor ratings."
A rep for Williams had no comment. Leakes also appeared to call Cohen "racist."

"I will ALWAYS eat and eat good! Believe that. I have ALWAYS believed in multiple streams of income so the leakes are good you ole cocaine head and you ole racist. No one knew you until YOU knew me. Remember I’m ICON. Don’t forget," she said.
In another tweet, Leakes wrote, "The racist is the master manipulator! They using me for ratings like they have always done."
As to the reason behind her exit, Leakes claimed on Twitter that she was only offered half a season, while other, white Housewives OGs, including Beverly Hills' Kyle Richards and New York's Ramona Singer, were offered full seasons. (The casts of RHONY and RHOBH for next season have yet to be confirmed, but one original Housewife, RHOC's Vicki Gunvalson, said she quit ahead of the new season.)

"We strictly talking the OG’s. I was the ONLY BLACK OG. My white counter parts were elevated and given full season episodes EVERY season. Each season i was given less & less. Don’t ask me, @ Andy and @ Bravo and ask them why," she tweeted.
In a Twitter exchange on Saturday, a fan asked Leakes if she would be getting her own spinoff show on Bravo, to which she replied, “They don’t think I deserve to work at all in any [capacity].”
“It sound[s] like they forced you out!” another fan said.

“They definitely did," Leakes responded.
Reps for Bravo and Cohen had no comment.
Leakes announced on her YouTube channel earlier this month that she would not be returning to RHOA for its upcoming 13th season.

"It wasn't an easy decision for me," she said. "It was hard. I started on The Real Housewives of Atlanta in 2008. We took off like a rocket. I mean, we took off. You could have never told me that I would start on this little show and it still be going strong 13, 14 years later. And it is. I'm just so happy that I can say that I was a part of a genre that opened up doors for Black ensemble reality shows to step up and be a part of what we all now love so much, reality TV."
After thanking her fans, Bravo, the cast and her team for supporting her over the years, she ended her message by promising, "I will see you again. Real soon."
Back in January, Williams claimed on her talk show that Leakes was quitting RHOA. Leakes later denied that was true but admitted that she was still debating it.

"I don't know. I just don't know," Leakes told PEOPLE in May. "I got back and forth with it every day. I feel like it's a big conversation I need to have with the network and with production. Because if they value their talent in some sort of way, then we need to talk. We need to come up with some sort of compromise here."

Leakes previously left the longtime Bravo series after season 7 to focus on her television roles (Glee, The New Normal, E!’s Fashion Police). While she later appeared as a guest for season 8, she skipped season 9 all together before returning full-time in season 10.

Naya Rivera’s Ex, Ryan Dorsey, Moves In With Her Sister To Help Raise Late Actress’ Son!
Naya Rivera’s ex-husband, Ryan Dorsey, and her sister Nickayla have become quite close following the “Glee” star’s drowning in July.
Dorsey, 37, has moved in with model Nickayla, 25, as the pair care for Rivera’s son, Josey, 5, who was with the actress the day she drowned in California’s Lake Piru, according to the Daily Mail.
The two have moved into a three-bedroom rental, a process that began when Nickayla was seen helping Ryan move his belongings from his previous home in North Hills, in the San Fernando Valley, on Sept. 6.
“They were fooling around and chatting the whole time,” a witness to the pair’s subsequent trip to a Target told the Mail. “They’re obviously helping lift each other’s spirits.”

Dorsey and Nickayla are reportedly sharing the responsibility of raising Josey with Dorsey’s parents. Naya and fellow actor Dorsey (“Stumptown,” “Ray Donovan”) rekindled a previous relationship after the actress’ split from rapper Big Sean in 2014; they were married in July 2014 and Josey was born on Sept. 17, 2015.
Rivera initially sought to split from Dorsey in 2016, though the two reconciled. They eventually separated for good in 2018.

“There’s not enough words to express the hole left in everyone’s hearts,” Dorsey wrote in an Instagram tribute to Rivera after her death. “Life is all about good times and bad times but with Josey it makes the bad a little less so because a part of you will always be with us. He’ll never forget where he came from. We miss you. We will always love you.”

Rivera took Josey on a swimming trip to Lake Piru in Southern California on July 8. Though a good swimmer, Rivera suffered from vertigo, which intensified when she was in the water, according to the most recent autopsy and investigation details. Piru is known for its strong currents and deep waters; eight people have drowned there since 1994.

Carole Baskin's 'DWTS' Journey Ends with Her Dressed as a Lion & Dancing to 'Circle of Life'!
Carole Baskin is the second celebrity to be eliminated from season 29 of Dancing With the Stars and she kept to her “big cats” theme for all three of her performances on the show.
The Tiger King star’s journey on DWTS came to an end on Monday night (September 28) after she performed a samba to the tune of “Circle Of Life” from The Lion King.
Carole and her partner Pasha Pashkov were both dressed as lions for the dance, which earned them a score of 12 out of 30 points.

While she was saying her goodbyes at the end of the night, Carole said she is looking forward to getting home to her husband Howard.

Chadwick Boseman Took a Pay Cut to Increase Sienna Miller’s 21 Bridges Salary!
Whether it’s giving part of their own larger salary to a co-star or refusing to work on projects with significant gaps in pay, individual performers sometimes step in and attempt to balance Hollywood’s pernicious pay inequity one gig at a time. In a new interview for Empire’s October issue celebrating the late Chadwick Boseman, Sienna Miller recalls how the Black Panther star gave part of his 21 Bridges salary to her to make up the difference in her pay for the film. “I didn’t know whether or not to tell this story, and I haven’t yet. But I am going to tell it because I think it’s a testament to who he was,” says Miller. “This was a pretty big-budget film, and I know that everybody understands about the pay disparity in Hollywood, but I asked for a number that the studio wouldn’t get to.

“And because I was hesitant to go back to work and my daughter was starting school and it was an inconvenient time, I said, ‘I’ll do it if I’m compensated in the right way.’ And Chadwick ended up donating some of his salary to get me to the number that I had asked for. He said that that was what I deserved to be paid.”
Boseman, himself a producer on the 2019 police action-drama, had personally sought out Miller for the role, in addition to eventually “donating” the difference between what the actress had asked for and what the studio was willing to pay.

“It was about the most astounding thing that I’ve experienced,” recalls Miller. “That kind of thing just doesn’t happen. He said, ‘You’re getting paid what you deserve and what you’re worth.’ It’s just unfathomable to imagine another man in that town behaving that graciously or respectfully. In the aftermath of this, I’ve told other male actor friends of mine that story and they all go very very quiet and go home and probably have to sit and think about things for a while. But there was no showiness. It was, ‘Of course I’ll get you to that number, because that’s what you should be paid.’”

Doc Rivers Is Out As Clippers Head Coach After 7 Seasons!
Doc Rivers’ time with the Los Angeles Clippers is over.
Rivers is out as the Clippers head coach following their loss in the Western Conference semifinals at Walt Disney World earlier this month, both he and the team announced on Monday afternoon.

The decision, the team said in a release, was mutual.
“Doc has been a terrific coach for the Clippers, an incredible ambassador and a pillar of strength during tumultuous times,” Clippers owner Steve Ballmer said in a statement. “He won a heck of a lot of games and laid a foundation for this franchise.

“I am immeasurably grateful to Doc for his commitment and contribution to the Clippers and the city of Los Angeles. I am also extremely confident in our front office and our players.”
Rivers had just finished his seventh season with the organization, where he compiled a 356-208 overall record. They reached the postseason in all but one season under his watch, but never made it out of the semifinals.
“When I took this job, my goals were to make this a winning basketball program, a free agent destination and bring a championship to this organization,” Rivers said in a statement on Twitter, in part. “While I was able to accomplish most of my goals, I won’t be able to see them all through.

“Though it was a disappointing ending to our season, you are right there and I know what this team is capable of accomplishing with your support.”

Lance Bass Confirms Justin Timberlake & Jessica Biel Welcomed Baby No. 2!
Lance Bass confirmed the reports that have been swirling around for months regarding Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel's newest addition to their family.
Speaking with Entertainment Tonight, Bass revealed that Timberlake, 39, and Biel, 38, secretly welcomed a baby boy in July. "The baby is cute of course, it’s Justin and Jessica!" the former *NSYNC bandmate told ET's Katie Krause on Friday (September 25) while chatting about his podcast, The Daily Popcast. "It's been a fun celebration and they’re very, very happy." Bass went on to say that they knew about the pair's latest arrival before everyone else, but that’s mostly because their group chat consists of talk about babies and the newborn.

Pressed on their baby's name, Bass said he had to keep tight lipped on the reveal. "That’s a good question. Justin would kill me!" he added. The two are also parents to son, Silas, 5. Daily Mail broke the story of their newest addition to the family in July. At the time, the celebrity gossip outlet reported that the actress was "holed up" in quarantine with the family in Big Sky, Montana.

Elsewhere in Bass' interview, the former pop star spoke about how he's maintained productivity amid the pandemi, admitting he's dropped 250 episodes of his podcast. "With podcasts it's been amazing," Bass said. "And thank goodness I started this show right before lockdown because if I didn't have this everyday I would've been going crazy at home. All my projects are on hold right now, so this has really just kept me going. It's been nice to talk to the fans out there. It's been a godsend for sure."

Rihanna Claps Back At Fan’s Comment On Her Skincare Routine!
If you want to stand under Rihanna’s umbrella, you’d better be wearing SPF.
The 32-year-old superstar shared a sexy lingerie-clad selfie on Instagram Sunday to promote her new travel-size Fenty Skin Start’r Set ($40), captioning the photo, “Just protecting my melanin while they try to eradicate it! @fentyskin #FentySkinStartRs mini gang!”

One fan seemed puzzled by Rihanna’s freshly applied Hydra Vizor sunscreen ($35) and the timing of her post, commenting, “it’s winter now” — and the beauty mogul wasted no time in schooling them on the importance of year-round SPF usage.
“It’s the ignorance for me!” Rihanna responded. “You gon have wrinkles if you think spf is seasonal! But continue.”

We tried Rihanna's Fenty Skin, and here's our honest review
Ahead of Fenty Skin’s launch, the Barbadian beauty told Yahoo Entertainment that she’s working hard to change the messaging around sunscreen, particularly as it pertains to people of color.
“Growing up on an island, you’re exposed to the sun every day. So you always thought that SPF was a tourist thing, and especially not for black people,” Rihanna explained. “I have learned the hard way because over time the sun wasn’t that kind to my skin and my skin was not that resilient. So I started to have hyperpigmentation in certain areas.”
After learning the error of her ways, the bad gal began using sunscreen daily, and included a pink-tinted version made to work on all skin tones as one of her skincare line’s first products. “Whether it’s hot or a gray, winter cold day, those UV rays are always out,” she said.

“I think the biggest misconception with SPF, in particular, is that black people don’t need it. And as a woman of color, I am here to say that’s a lie. We need it and we need it every day.”

Grand Juror In Breonna Taylor Case Accuses AG Daniel Cameron of Using Them As A Shield, Wants Permission To Speak Out!
A grand juror has filed a motion to release grand jury transcripts and recordings of relating to the Breonna Taylor investigation.
The unidentified grand juror filed a motion on Monday asking the judge to give up their confidential status so they could speak out. They blame Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron of using jurors as a shield.
The document states that Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron has continued making statements that the grand jury alone decided who or what to charge in the investigation based solely on the evidence presented to them.
Cameron said he does not plan to release the investigative files because he said he does not want to defile ex-officer Brett Hankison’s trial.

According to the motion, the grand juror points out that Cameron was asked why a dozen witnesses said they did not hear the police knock or announce themselves, to which the juror said that Cameron relied “on one witness to the contrary.” That one witness has since recanted his statement.

“The citizens of this Commonwealth have demonstrated their lack of faith in the process and proceedings in this matter and the justice system itself. Using the grand jurors as a shield to deflect accountability and responsibility for these decisions only sows more seeds of doubt in the process while leaving a cold chill down the spines of future grand jurors.”

#RHOP 's Candiace Dillard Is 'Still Confused' About Monique Samuels Fight: 'I'm Not Okay'!
Candiace Dillard says she's still working through her trauma almost a year after her brutal brawl with Monique Samuels, which aired on Sunday's episode of The Real Housewives of Potomac.
Dillard, 33, opened up about the incident during an appearance on The Wendy Williams Show on Monday. The former Miss United States said she still doesn't understand what led to what appeared to be Samuels, 36, dragging her by the wig before repeatedly hitting her on the head.

"This is never somewhere that I saw myself being at any time," Dillard told host Wendy Williams. "I'm not a fighter. It's not what I do and having gone through this and having dealt with the trauma of it — it's not what I see my legacy being."
"I don't want this to be representative of me or Black women at all. ... It's embarrassing. I'm embarrassed," Dillard added.

Dillard explained that although "we're almost a year removed from the incident" she's "still confused."
"I still don't know what exactly I did to this person," Dillard said before being interrupted by Williams, 56, who asked: "Didn't you accuse [Monique] of having an affair?"
As viewers know, Dillard and Samuels found themselves at odds with each other after Dillard invited former Housewife Charrisse Jordan Jackson to her wedding anniversary party earlier in the season. Samuels believes Jordan Jackson has been spreading a rumor that she had an affair with her fitness trainer. (Samuels has denied the affair, and Jordan Jackson has denied spreading the gossip.)
But Dillard told Williams that she was not involved in the whisperings about Monique's personal life.
"If she had asked me — which she never had a conversation with me about these rumors that she heard — she would have gotten clarity that I was never a part of a spin, a spreading or a plot," Dillard said. "The fact that she's now using that to justify what she did is poppycock. If you pay attention to the season, she never brings up these rumors and this plotting during the season. It only comes out and becomes an issue after we've wrapped filming. She was looking for a reason to justify attacking another Black woman on national television."

Dillard also revealed that she's not upset with Karen Huger, who comforted Samuels on the episode but refused to take sides.
"I'm not mad at Karen," Dillard asserted, adding, however, that she's waiting for Huger, 57, "to find her sense."
"[Karen] really sort of humps the fence the entire season in a situation that is very clear cut. You can't ride the fence in a situation when you have someone who grabs me by the hair and punches me in the head and then shows no remorse," Dillard said. (Samuels said on Sunday's episode the fight was a "long time coming" and that Dillard "asked for it.")

Dillard also shared that the fight "changes the dynamic of the entire group" this season.
"I feel it's important for me to say I am not okay," Dillard told Williams.

The Howard University graduate also explained her decision to press charges against Samuels, saying, "That was not for TV. That was me watching this person, who physically attacked me show no remorse." (Samuels filed a cross-complaint, and both were dismissed by the Office of the State’s Attorney for Montgomery County, Maryland, last December.)
As for the friendship between their husbands, Chris Bassett and Chris Samuels?
"They're in an awkward place. They spoke very recently make a few weeks ago for the first time since the incident took place, which was in October," Dillard said of the husbands.
When Samuels' and her husband spoke about the incident on Sunday's episode, he said he was disappointed in his wife, calling the situation "embarrassing."

"You shouldn't be fighting, like, that's ridiculous. I like Candiace and Chris and I hate that you and Candiace are in this situation where y'all are actually physically hitting each other. It's not a good image," the former NFL star said.
Samuels has also spoken out about the fight, writing on Twitter after the episode aired that she's "grateful" for her ups and downs.

"The blessing of experiencing lows means there's no where to go but UP! Keep watching to see the entire journey. I'm grateful for my ups and downs because they help me grow. I'll continue to look for positives wrapped within negatives and move forward #RHOP," Samuels tweeted.

The Real Housewives of Potomac airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.

Sorry, No, Prince Harry And Meghan Aren’t Doing A Netflix Reality Show!
Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, are getting heat for the mere whiff of reality-show rumors wafting from their massive Netflix deal.
The British tabloid The Sun reported Monday that the Sussexes would be partaking in some sort of reality series about their philanthropy — a project that would reportedly give the much-maligned “Suits” actress a chance to show viewers “the real her.”

It also could have been another lucrative draw for the streaming giant and a chance to humanize the pair as they repair damage done to their public image since their surprising break with the British monarchy this year.
But the tabloid’s allegations put the Sussexes at odds with their apparent desire for more privacy — a main reason the British prince and American actress stepped back as senior members of the royal family, moved back to Southern California and are charting a new path for their nonprofit foundation, Archewell. (A hefty conceit for a reality series, if we do say so ourselves.)

Alas, that enticing report was promptly shut down by a rep for Harry and Meghan.
“The Duke and Duchess are not taking part in any reality shows,” the spokesperson said in a Monday statement to The Times.
Netflix somewhat doubled down, telling The Times that the duo already had several projects in development, but the streamer is “not disclosing any of the programming slate at this time.”
Those projects, announced in a deal that is reportedly worth as much as $100 million, include a nature docuseries and an animated series that celebrates inspiring women. Meghan also has no plans to return to acting.

The duchess, like just about everything these days, has been entangled in American politics as of late as some suggested her as a future U.S. presidential contender in a run against White House senior advisor, Ivanka Trump.

The former star also took heat last week for joining her husband in a video encouraging Americans to vote in November’s presidential election. The move prompted POTUS to take a dig at the couple and say that he’s “not a fan of hers.” He has called her “nasty” in the past.

Jeezy is celebrating his 43rd birthday on Monday, September 28, but as a gift to the fans, he’s offering major conversation. According to Billboard, Jeezy has landed his very own weekly talk show called “Worth a Conversation With Jay “Jeezy” Jenkins.
“It has been my passion and my drive to inspire, motivate, and educate my culture. Every song I’ve ever written, every word I’ve uttered came from a real place, and this is no different,” Jeezy said in an interview with the publication. “I will talk about issues that directly affect my culture and its people. From the front-porch conversations to real-life situations, Worth a Conversation is bridging the gap. I’m excited to be a part of the FOX Soul family and can’t wait to introduce you to Jay’ Jeezy’ Jenkins.”

Worth, A Conversation with Jay’ Jeezy’ Jenkins, will premiere on October 14 at 10 p.m. ET on the FOX Soul Network. The show will feature the rapper entertaining his guest about topics that impact the Black community from politics, to the current social climate, sports, and entertainment.
Amid the COVID-19 Pandemic, Jeezy has been busy preparing for the show and married life with fiancee Jeannie Mai, who is a co-host on The Real. In March, Jeezy also released his EP, Twenty/20 Pyrex Vision. Now, he hopes that his fans can stay “forward-thinking” and resourceful, as the rapper proves he has been doing during this global health crisis.

“If you can hustle from your house or make moves from your house the same way you would if you were running around the streets and get it done, that’s a whole other game,” he told Billboard.

Worth a Conversation With Jay’ Jeezy’ Jenkins will be available via the Fox Soul app and website, Apple TV, Fox Now, Roku, YouTube, and more.

Mark Cuban Picks Up Delonte West At Gas Station To Seek Help For Ex-Baller!
Mark Cuban was spotted picking up ex-NBA star Delonte West at a Texas gas station on Monday.
The Dallas Mavericks owner has offered to pay for West’s rehab after photos went viral last week showing the former athlete begging for money on the side of the road, theGRIO previously reported. Sports fans and the NBA world responded to the disturbing images. West’s former coach Doc Rivers and the Players Association have also offered to help …ever since he was filmed shirtless on a city curb, shouting expletives with a bloodied and bruised face back in January.

Following last week’s viral photos taken in Dallas, Cuban had been trying to contact the former Mavericks guard. West reportedly agreed to meet him on Monday. Video footage shows Cuban picking him up at a Dallas gas station. According to TMZ, West was taken to a local hotel, and is said to be receptive to treatment for his mental health issues.

West’s family and close friends have long been trying to convince him to enter rehab, but he has been reluctant until recently, according to the report.
West was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2008.

“I’m sick today [sic] my stomach right now seeing the videos of Delonte,” Jameer Nelson, who played with West at Saint Joseph’s, wrote on social media at the time of the January video New York Post reports. “To answer everybody that’s reaching out to me about his situation … all we can do is pray for Him and his family and hope that he seeks the proper help. Mental illness is something that a lot of people deal with and don’t even know it, until sometimes it’s too late. I’m not sure what exactly is going on with Dwest but he knows I’m in his corner and will help him get through this.”
Several years ago, after a series of bizarre events, West’s brother, Dmitri dished publicly brother’s bipolar disorder diagnosis.
“Delonte West is not crazy, he is not on drugs. I don’t know what exactly is going on in his mind but I can tell you that he is safe and he’s doing OK,” Dmitri said at that time. “My family are trying to get him the best professional help that’s out there, the best that they can afford.”

West played eight seasons in the NBA, including several seasons with LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers, the SuperSonics, and Celtics. He played for the Dallas Mavs from 2011-2012.
