Jodie Turner-Smith for Porter - 21st September 2020!
Jodie Turner-Smith can't stop raving about husband Joshua Jackson in her new cover story with Porter magazine.
The 34-year-old Queen & Slim star opened up about their relationship and the possibility of working with Joshua someday.
"I’m really in love with my husband," she confessed in the feature. "That might be weird for people, but I’m doing a pretty good job of not shouting that from the rooftops as much as I would like to."
Jodie adds that Joshua, 42, is a "really amazing dude. Today’s actually our two-year anniversary. It’s only gotten better and I feel so grateful for that. That’s why I share it sometimes, because I love him, I think he’s hot, I think he’s smart and he’s incredibly talented."
"I feel so lucky to be in a relationship with somebody who feels the same about me, who is not shy about telling me that or uplifting me," she added.
Jodie also spoke of collaborating one day with Joshua on screen or stage one day, saying that it could happen.
"I would love to work with him on stage," she shared. "I’m excited for what else he’s going to do in his career. This is kind of a new wave for him. He’s now a man in his forties who’s been acting since he was a child. He’s become a new man, a husband and father."
Jodie and Joshua welcomed their first child, a baby girl, together this past April.

“God’s timing, not mine. God’s will, not mine. God’s plan, not mine. God’s glory, not mine,” she captioned the photo

#HipHopNews: Lupe Fiasco Claims He’s A Better Lyricist Than Kendrick Lamar!
Lupe Fiasco is sparking another contentious debate over Kendrick Lamar.
It all started when someone on Twitter asked who was a better lyricist, Lupe Fiasco or Kendrick Lamar. The Chicago MC responded, “Lupe but…” before deleting the tweet.
But his comment didn’t go unnoticed. Punch, who is president of Kendrick’s label TDE, responded to Lupe, writing, “Lol.”
After his name began trending on Twitter, Lupe decided to clear up his comments. While he has respect for Kendrick as an artist, he feels that he is a superior lyricist.

“In my own words…once again for you bitches…I love me some KDot…always have always will,” he explained. “With that said do think I he’s a good lyricist? Yes. Do I think he’s the best lyricist? No. Do I think it’s lyricists that are better than him? Yes. Is he a better artist than me? Yes.”
Added Lupe, “Is he a better lyricist than me? No. Does he make better songs than me? Yes. Did I think control was ridicule? No. Am I jealous of Kdot? No. Did I personally give him his props in chicago on stage as the next ni**a to take the crown? YES. Is It on camera? Yes. Did I mean it? Yes.”

He went on to call them both “legends” and said that Section.80 is his favorite Kendrick album and TDE is his favorite label.

Zendaya Fans Defend Her Emmy Win After It’s Referred To As An ‘Upset’ Over Jennifer Aniston!
Actress Zendaya is celebrating a historic win in her career as the youngest recipient of Lead Actress in a Drama Series award at this year’s Emmys for her role in HBO’s Euphoria. But her name coupled with her Emmy win is now trending on Twitter after being referred to as an “upset” over Jennifer Aniston (“The Morning Show“) and Laura Linney (“Ozark“).
In a video streamed live during the 72nd Emmy Awards, Zendaya is seen celebrating with smiles, laughter, and with tears as Jimmy Kimmel announces the 24-year-old winner.

But when her win was described as an “upset” to some, many of Zendaya’s fans were not happy about the verbiage.
Jennifer Anniston, well-known for her role as Rachel Green on the top-rated 90’s-2000’s TV series “Friends,” is one of Hollywood’s leading ladies while Zendaya’s progressive fame began after she concreted herself on shows such as Disney Channel’s “Shake It Up“.

Congratulations to Zendaya on such a monumental win in her career!

Ellen DeGeneres' Opening Monologue Gets Slammed for Being Completely "Tone Deaf"!
Ellen DeGeneres is getting backlash for all the jokes she made during her show's opening monologue.
The Ellen DeGeneres Show has been accused of being a toxic work environment rife with racism and bullying. The Ellen DeGeneres Show is back for a brand new season, and Ellen went ahead and addressed toxic work environment allegations in her opening monologue. While Ellen took responsibility, she also peppered the monologue with jokes—like, "This is The Ellen DeGeneres Show. I am Ellen DeGeneres. My name is there, my name is there, my name is on underwear."

She also appears to have made reference to rumors she doesn't let staff look her in the eye, saying, "I'm excited to see all of my staff and my crew. Hi everybody. Please don't look me in the eye. Oh, I'm kidding. But I will be passing out gum for everyone. Kidding again."

The jokes didn't go over too well, with some viewers calling her tone deaf:
Meanwhile, a former employee told BuzzFeed News, “Not only did Ellen turn my trauma, turn our traumas, into a joke, she somehow managed to make this about her. When she said, ‘Oh my summer was great’ and that was supposed to be funny I thought, ‘It’s funny that you had a rough summer because everyone was calling out all of the allegations of your toxic work environment and now you’re the one suffering?’”

#RHONY: Is Alicia Quarles Replacing Dorinda on RHONY?
What do we know about Alicia Quarles from The Real Housewives of New York and is she replacing Dorinda Medley? Viewers are still shaken to the core, but the possibility of a new housewife could perk them right up.

Alicia Quarles is a well-known fixture on Manhattan's social scene and fashion scene. The journalist is married to Michael Ross and a graduate of the University of Southern California. Alicia previously worked at E! News and, before that, at the Associated Press. Many feel that she would fit right in with the other women of the Big Apple since she is a self-proclaimed fashionista and loves to wear Chanel.

here have been many rumors about Alicia being cast as the newest member of the franchise since the firing of Dorinda Medley. The “make it nice” housewife has brought fans seasons of enjoyment, but the network seemed over her anger issues. During season 12, Dorinda may have gotten off to the wrong start as she came in hot with her grumpy attitude, but that did not stop her from having a good time. But with Dorinda leaving does this mean there is an opening? Alicia sat down with David Yontef on Behind The Velvet Rope to clear things up, sort of.

The Daily Mail TV correspondent revealed she knows all the of the current housewives and is still friends with Bethenny Frankel saying, "I'm still friends with Bethany. You know, she's doing her thing. We just get each other. She's real. She's direct to the point. She's about her business. I like it." David made sure to ask what all fans were thinking about whether she had been approached by the network to star in the hit franchise. Alicia gave little information up saying, "I can’t confirm nor deny. I can just say that I’m friends with all the women on there. They’re wonderful. It’s a bomb franchise. Listen, I’m the ultimate New Yorker. So, I’m just saying it. If it happens, it’s all good." The host made a valid point about Alicia being a solid choice since she has a job she wakes up and goes to every day, unlike the other current housewives, with the exception of Leah McSweeney and possibly Sonja Morgan, depending on the day. It would be a totally different side of a New York housewife which fans would enjoy seeing since most viewers have to put in a hard day’s work that does not include cabaret.

Even though Alicia may not have been able to solidify her placement, fans are eager to learn more about her. To many Bravo viewers, she seems down to earth and would be able to keep up with the best of them. Now, all we need to know is her drink limit and she could be good as gold.

Did David Adefeso Cheated on Tamar Braxton?
Last week Tamar Braxton and her ex-fiancΓ© David Adefeso officially called it quits after she accused him of a murder suicide attempt and he accused her of physically abusing him
Now comes word that David was cheating with one of his employees this whole time...

...sources close to David Adefeso are saying that this is his girlfriend. Apparently, they have been together before and during the time he and Tamar were in a relationship! The source notes that David had allegedly been cheating on the singer since earlier this year, and as soon as their relationship ended recently, he boo’d up with his girlfriend/employee on a more formal basis, as the photo shows them vacationing together. It’s been said that this is the real reason why Tamar officially called it quits.

The Emmys Threw shade and Excluded Kobe Bryant, Nick Cordero, and Kelly Preston From “In Memoriam” Segment!
The Emmys is usually a celebratory event for TV’s hottest shows and stars, but this year they took time out to reflect on all of the people we have lost their lives in the entertainment industry

On Sunday, R&B artist H.E.R performed her interpretation of Prince’s” Nothing Compares 2 U” on the piano and guitar.
During H.E.R’s performance, photos of celebrities like Chadwick Boseman, Naya Riveria, Regis Philbin, and Kirk Douglas were displayed on the large screen. However, fans were disappointed to see Kobe Bryant, Nick Cordero, and Kelly Preston omitted from the montage.

Even though Bryant wasn’t an actor, he was an icon who appeared in many TV shows throughout his career. The Emmys even took place at the staples center in Los Angeles, where his team played, which many referred to it as the’ house that Kobe built.’
Kobe, his 13-year-old daughter, and seven other passengers died in a helicopter crash back in January.
A fan tweeted, “Umm @TheEmmys, how do you manage to leave out Kobe Bryant from the In Memoriam while filming at Staples Center?” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Another fan tweeted,” I’m surprised Nick Cordero wasn’t included in the Memoriam.”

Cordero passed away from complications due to Covid-19.
Preston, who was also excluded, died from cancer on July 12th.
Twitter also pointed out that stars like Grant Imahara from’ Mythbusters,’ co-creator of’ Monty Phython’ Terry Jones, actor/musician/producer Sid Haig, and Emmy nominated Olivia de Havilland were all left out of the Memoriam.

Representatives for the television academy have yet to respond.

Mark David Chapman Killed John Legend For ‘Glory;’ Claims He Was “Angry and Jealous”!
According to transcripts obtained by ABC News, John Lennon’s murderer, Mark David Chapman, was denied parole for the 11th time. At the hearing, Chapman said he killed the Beatles legend for “glory.”
Chapman said he killed Lennon because he was ‘angry and jealous’ of how he lived his life, and he was seeking “glory” for himself.
“At the time, my thinking was he has all of this money, lives in this beautiful apartment, and he is into music representing a more cautious lifestyle, a more giving lifestyle,” Chapman told parole commissioners.” It made me angry and jealous compared to the way I was living at the time. There was jealousy in there.”

On December 8, 1980, Lennon died after Chapman fatally shot him in front of his Upper West Side Apartment building moments after Lennon had autographed an album for him.
When asked if his thinking had changed since being incarcerated 40 years for shooting Lennon, Chapman said, “It was just self-glory, period,” later adding,” It was nothing more than that. It boiled down to that. There’s no excuses.”

Chapman said he purchased the gun three months prior to the shooting and that he left his wife in Hawaii for New York to find himself. Chapman also claimed he had a list of three other potential targets just in case Lennon didn’t work out. “I came up with whatever famous people I could,” he said.
“You called it glory, and some might call it infamy,” said one of the commissioners. Chapman replied, “Infamy brings glory.” According to the statement, this is what sealed his fate of being denied parole.

“During the interview, you stated you committed this murder to seek glory. You said ‘infamy brings you glory,” stated the panel after he was denied parole. “This panel finds your statement disturbing. Your actions represented an evil act. The fact that today, almost 40 years later, you can still speak of what you did as something that you felt was positive and in your mind gave you ‘glory’ at the time, is disturbing for this panel.”

If Chapman had been released, he pledged to become an evangelist. “Look how low I went, but yet God still loves me and cares about me and has given me purpose and meaning in my life,” said Chapman. He then ended his plea with a statement of apology to Yoko Ono.
“I just want her to know that she knows her husband like no one else and knows the kind of man he was. I didn’t. I just judged him from a book, and I murdered him. He was in a book. He was extremely famous. I didn’t kill him because of his character or the kind of man he was. He was a family man. He was an icon. He was someone that spoke of things that now we can speak of, and it’s great.”

He then continued on to say, “Back in the ’60s when you said the things that he said, you were a creep. I remember I was in my 20s, and I was conscious of the times and the press and presidency and all of that and how they looked upon anti-war people. Now we realize that Vietnam was a horrible mistake. This has to go, and you put your life on the line back then when you felt that way. This was the kind of man he was. I assassinated him, to use your word earlier because he was very, very, very famous and that’s the only reason, and I was very, very, very, very much seeking self-glory, very selfish. I want to add that and emphasize that greatly. It was an extremely selfish act. I’m sorry for the pain that I caused to her. I think about it all of the time.”

'Saturday Night Live' Hires First Out Black Lesbian Cast Member Punkie Johnson!
When the 46th season of “Saturday Night Live” premieres on Oct. 3, the NBC comedy show will include its first out Black LGBTQ cast member, and second out lesbian cast member: Punkie Johnson.
Johnson — a New Orleans native and self-described “brutally honest Southern lesbian” — is a triple threat with a background that includes standup comedy, acting and writing. She has performed regularly at The Comedy Store in Los Angeles and was featured as a new face at last year’s Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal.

Johnson has also appeared in a variety of TV shows, web series and short films, including the Netflix series “Space Force.” She had role in the feature film “The Ride,” which premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, and she played a supernatural lesbian bar patron in the 2019 “Dance Biter” sketch in HBO’s comedy series “A Black Lady Sketch Show.”
In an interview with the film website Film Courage, Johnson described herself as a playful “child with adult bills.”

“Everything is a joke to me,” she said in the 2016 interview. “I was and still is the person that jokes and laughs in the midst of despair. I would always make up these crazy, wild funny stories and others kids at school would actually believe me. I had and still have a big imagination. I am still a child.”
Johnson added that as a child she would always get in trouble while attending Catholic school for telling inappropriate knock-knock jokes to nuns and recalled “mooning a member of the usher board at the church.”

While Johnson will be the first out Black lesbian cast member of “Saturday Night Live,” she won’t be the first overall. Danitra Vance, who was on the show in 1985 and 1986, has that distinction, though she was not out publicly at the time. And while Kate McKinnon is recognized as the sketch show’s first out lesbian cast member, Denny Dillon, who was on the show for one season in the early ‘80s, was actually the first overall, though she did not come out publicly until later.

In addition to Johnson, “Saturday Night Live” announced two additional cast members: Lauren Holt, an actor, comedian, singer and improviser, and Andrew Dismukes, who has been an “SNL” staff writer since season 43.

New York City, Portland, And Seattle Are Labeled “Anarchist Jurisdictions” By The Justice Department!
New York City, Portland, Oregon, and Seattle, Washington, have all been labeled “anarchist jurisdictions” by the Justice Department.
On Sunday, the Justice Department made the classification, which means the cities are set to lose federal money for failing to control protestors and pledging to defund the police, according to the New York Post.
“When state and local leaders impede their own law enforcement officers and agencies from doing their jobs, it endangers innocent citizens who deserve to be protected, including those who are trying to peacefully assemble and protest,” Attorney General Bill Barr said in a statement.

“We cannot allow federal tax dollars to be wasted when the safety of the citizenry hangs in the balance,’’ he added. “It is my hope that the cities identified by the Department of Justice today will reverse course and become serious about performing the basic function of government and start protecting their own citizens.”
It is unclear which funds will be cut, but New York City currently gets about $7 billion in annual federal funding.

This comes after Donald Trump issued a memo earlier this month against cities that have taken action to defund the police by cutting law enforcement budgets. New York City approved cutting $1 billion from the NYPD’s $6 billion budget.
Portland made the list after over 100 nights of protests in the city. The Portland City Council also voted to cut the police department budget by $15 million in June.

Also, part of the reasoning for labeling these cities “anarchists” was that some district attorneys refused to prosecute protestors arrested during demonstrations against police brutality.

Sunny Hostin Claims ABC Brass Censored Portions Of Her Memoir!
ABC brass wanted passages about the network axed from “The View” co-host Sunny Hostin’s memoir, “I Am These Truths,” she claimed in an interview with Ronan Farrow.
“I was censored by ABC in writing the book … I did remove some passages … I think they were concerned about how it made the network look,” she said.
She added, “I think I was treated differently than a white woman would have been treated. I was given a dressing room on a different floor, and I noticed that other co-hosts who came on after I came on were given dressing rooms on the main floor with everyone else. And while that seems like a small thing, it’s those little indignities that make … you wonder, ‘Am I being crazy? Am I being sensitive? Am I playing the race card?’”

Hostin said she hired a lawyer because she feared retaliation. It was revealed this year that former ABC SVP of talent Barbara Fedida allegedly once referred to Hostin as “low-rent.” Hostin said that she learned that Fedida had “discriminated against” her after the book was finished. “So I chose to write a foreword … My employer didn’t know I was doing that, but I did it and it felt good to do it,” Hostin said.

Fedida hasn’t responded to Hostin specifically, but she has called a series of allegations of racial insensitivity leveled against her “incredibly misleading.”

ABC didn’t comment.

NASCAR: Michael Jordan Confirms Race Team Featuring Bubba Wallace!
Monday night, NASCAR's Denny Hamlin and NBA Hall of Famer Michael Jordan stunned racing fans by announcing they are creating a new race team. This new charter will feature one driver — Bubba Wallace — and will compete in the 2021 Cup Series season. Jordan, who owns the Charlotte Hornets, then released a statement expressing excitement about the future in motorsports.

"Growing up in North Carolina, my parents would take my brothers, sisters and me to races, and I've been a NASCAR fan my whole life," Jordan said. "The opportunity to own my own racing team in partnership with my friend, Denny Hamlin, and to have Bubba Wallace driving for us, is very exciting for me.

"Historically, NASCAR has struggled with diversity and there have been few Black owners. The timing seemed perfect as NASCAR is evolving and embracing social change more and more. In addition to the recent commitment and donations I have made to combat systemic racism, I see this as a chance to educate a new audience and open more opportunities for Black people in racing."

With the announcement on Monday, fans immediately headed to social media to express both surprise and excitement. They proclaimed that they are ready to see a No. 23 Toyota winning races and called for special paint schemes. Others said that they were happy to finally see good news in 2020. A few Twitter users expressed outrage about the partnership, but they were fewer in number.

Cardi B & Sister Hennessy Carolina Sued For Defamation After  Labeling A Group Of Beachgoers ‘Racist MAGA Supporters’!
Cardi B is back in the press, but this time she’s being sued after defending her younger sister Hennessy Carolina who recently got into an altercation with a group of beachgoers in the Hamptons, and it was caught on video.
According to reports, the WAP star is being sued for defamation after posting an alleged “edited video” and photos from an altercation between her sister and a group that she labeled ‘racist MAGA supporters’ to millions of her social media followers.

According to Hennessy Carolina, she and her girlfriend Michelle Diaz visited a beach in the Hamptons when they pulled up to a “complete empty spot” when an altercation with a “family” ensued over what she claims to be racial reasons.
The group involved in the altercation allegedly consisted of a two white men, (one wearing a ‘MAGA’ hat) and other women.  In the video that was captured on Hennessy’s Instagram stories, Hennessy can be heard yelling obscenities at the group, while one man responds,

‘Move your vehicle out of here.’
After words of exchange with the group, Hennessy seems to zone in on one woman and expresses,
‘I hope you know that you will be online and your husband.’
The woman, equally as heated, offers her middle finger to the camera in response.
Cardi B also referenced the incident when debating online with Candace Owens.

According to the group’s attorney, John Ray ‘These peaceful Suffolk County residents were quietly enjoying a Sunday at the Smith Point beach with their families, when rap celebrity Hennessy Carolina suddenly approached them, raging, spitting, insulting, assaulting, defaming and threatening them, all the while videotaping them because one of them wore a MAGA hat,’ beachgoers’.
The attorney who claims that the group is ‘living in fear’ added,
‘Then Hennessy, Cardi B and celebrity model Michelle Diaz deviously edited the videotape and published the edited version all over social media, across the world for all to see, and maliciously falsely labeled these residents and their families as ‘N…s’ and as racists.’

Cardi B nor Hennessy Carolina have made public statements about the lawsuit or accusations.  What are your thoughts on what went down in the altercation?  Share your thoughts with us below.
