Burrell described homosexuality as “perverted” at a recent church sermon
Gospel singer Kim Burrell has been dropped from a scheduled “Ellen” appearance with Pharrell this week after she delivered a church sermon which many has viewed as ‘homophobic’. You can go HERE to see that. Janelle Monáe tells TMZ. Monáe, who will appear on the show to promote Hidden Figures, says Burrell will no longer join Pharrell to perform music from the soundtrack.
Burrell attracted widespread criticism last week after describing homosexuality as “perverted”; she reiterated her position in a Facebook live video, calling homosexuality a “sin … against the nature of God.”
Ellen will address the controversy on Thursday’s episode.
