Doing Time Will Reveal:Chris Brown And James Debarge Making Music Together In Jail
You got to give it to Chris Brown: He’s about his music. Still riding the success of his single “Loyal”, he may just be collaborating with an R&B veteran for his next jam.
Turns out that according to TMZ, Brown is locked in a cell that‘s right next to none other than James DeBarge. The site reports that while locked up in a unit reserved for high-profile inmates, the two have already written three songs, at times performing them while the other inmates sing back up. And get this: None of the inmates can really see each other, it’s all about the harmony.
James Curtis DeBarge was once apart of the family group “DeBarge” with brother El. He’s also famous for marrying Janet Jackson in 1984, before the marriage was annulled a year later. He is currently being held in the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s department County Jail for Men on drug possession and assault with a deadly weapon charges.
Brings a whole new meaning to the term “jailhouse rock” doesn’t it?
In somewhat related news, Brown’s ride or die, Karrueche Tran sparked rumors of an engagement when she showed up at her surprise party with a major rock on her left hand. Let us find out Chris will be planning a wedding and a duets album with James DeBarge when he’s released.
