Chris Brown Announces September Release Date For “X” Album

Chris Brown‘s X album has gotten an official release date. After being pushed back several times from it’s original July 2013 date, X is now due September 16th, the singer announces via Instagram.

The album will feature Chris’ platinum hit “Loyal” with Lil Wayne and Tyga, and “New Flame” featuring Usher and Rick Ross. There’s also collaborations with Nicki Minaj (“Love More”), Kendrick Lamar (“Autumn Leaves”), Brandy, Kelly Rowland, and more.

Breezy posted the above photo of him and a group of guys (including Usher) all dressed in white, standing in a circle near a burning X. “New flame almost done!” he said in the caption.

Keke Palmer on Becoming Broadway’s First African-American Cinderella

Yesterday it was announced that Keke Palmer, the actress and singer who made television history earlier this year by becoming the youngest-ever talk-show host, will make her Broadway debut as Cinderella in an adaptation of the Tony-winning musical this September. The news means that, at 20 years old, the Illinois-born entertainer has claimed another historic milestone this year, by being cast as the first ever African-American Cinderella on Broadway.

And she's excited saying. “I don’t really celebrate,” she said. “And besides, I still don’t believe it is real!” Palmer said that, growing up, she “always had an idea to approach Broadway for an audition,” perhaps because—as the daughter of two former actors who met in drama school—the desire to be onstage was embedded in her DNA.

Like many women, Palmer has her share of childhood memories involving Cinderella—both the 1950 “animated version" and "the Brandy version,” that is, the 1997 TV movie starring the singer opposite Whitney Houston’s fairy godmother. And while the very grown-up task of starring in a Broadway show—and playing to a live audience of hundreds twice a day, beginning this September—might seem daunting, terrifying, or even nightmare inducing to most, it seems to thrill Palmer. “Thinking about that [audience] gives me energy,” she told V.F. Hollywood. “Seeing that many people in the audience, who you can’t recognize, that's what excites you and gets you pumped.”

With Palmer, it’s easy to understand why she has been so prolific and successfully varied in her professional pursuits in the 10 years since debuting on-screen opposite Queen Latifah—whom Palmer now counts as a mentor—in Barbershop 2: Back to Business. (She has since starred in films Akeelah and the Bee, Madea’s Family Reunion, Joyful Noise; starred on the Nickelodeon television series True Jackson, VP; released an album with Atlantic Records in 2007; guest-starred on Masters of Sex; and hosted the aforementioned daytime talk show, Just Keke, on BET for a four-week run.) She is upbeat, well-spoken, and unabashedly ambitious. But most impressively, she seems to have a wise-beyond-her-years understanding of the unique platform her professional pursuits have provided her, and a desire to use it to connect.

A New Poster for "Gone Girl" has Arrived!

Though its release is still months away, 20th Century Fox released a new promotional poster for "Gone Girl." The shot shows Ben Affleck by a lake with the words "You don't know what you've got 'til it's..." above him.

Based on the bestseller by Gillian Flynn, the film is described as follows: With his wife's disappearance having become the focus of an intense media circus, a man sees the spotlight turned on him when it's suspected that he may not be innocent.

"Gone Girl," which also stars Rosamund Pike, arrives in theaters on October 3.

Vivica Fox CELEBRATES Her Birthday!

50 & Fabulous! Vivica Fox is proving she still has it. And she’s slaying in a sparkling purple hip-hugging number and tousled curls.

The Sharknado 2 star celebrated her 50th birthday with a celeb-filled bash complete with a red carpet at Philippe Chow in Beverly Hills. Tisha Campbell-Martin, Duane Martin, Holly Robinson Peete and her husband, Tamala Jones, Elise Neal and Michael Jai White all came out to party it up with the birthday girl.

The fab starlet had plenty to celebrate. SyFy’s Sharknado 2: The Second One (which premiered on her actual birthday, July 30th) scored record ratings this week, reaching 3.9 million viewers for its premiere telecast. The so-cheesy-it's-good instant cult classic made history as the most watched movie in network history. How's that for a birthday gift?!

50 is looking damn good on Aunt Viv!

And actor Michael Jai White (who is starring in an upcoming urban-themed stripper flick named "Chocolate City") and his lady friend hit the carpet before heading in for the party.

Everyone knows that Christina Milian does what she does for tracks and I see she is trying again with Lil Wayne… Now she is getting major backlash for it…. A lady on her IG put her on blast for being a gold digger and Christina snaps back.

How is she making money because I haven’t heard anything from her since Dip It Low 10 years ago. I mean what is this hard work she is speaking of…? Maybe it’s those royalties from cowriting beiber’s “Baby”. People do a lot of behind the scenes work too. It’s not all about putting out hit singles. Sometimes, the hottest stars are the broke.

Beyonce To Open MTV Video Music Awards ALONE…Minus Jay Z ?

Beyonce is reportedly in talks to open this year’s MTV Video Music Awards in California with a full blown Beytastic medley of her biggest hits as the station hope to pay tribute to the superstar - but without hubby Jay Z.

The couple, who are allegedly on the rocks, have been touring up and down North America as part of their On The Run stadium tour but reports have continued to circle claiming that all is not well in camp Bey Z.

MTV’s bid to book Beyonce without the rapper is only fuelling the rumours as an insider tells the New York Daily News: “MTV wants her and they want her solo”.

Bey has got a pretty tight history with the ceremony, performing at the bash four times already, most recently with her hit Love On Top at the 2011 show, where she famously announced her pregnancy to an ecstatic audience.

According to the source, MTV are said to be begging the former Destiny’s Child star to perform a string of fan favourites from her self-titled surprise album which dropped last year and will stop at no cost to get her.

“Bey is going to be all over the show. MTV is still working everything out, but they want her to open the show with a big production, which has still not been announced.”

They say: “It’s still being worked out. Everyone at Columbia is scurrying around to make things happen. But judging by the amount of awards she was nominated for and her past history with the show announcing her pregnancy, it’s a pretty safe bet.” Fingers crossed!

The news comes amid a whirlwind of rumours reporting the couple’s relationship is strictly “business”. Under the headline “Inside the crumbling marriage of Jay-Z and Beyonce” another insider alleged to The New York Post’s page six: “There’s still something there, even though it’s not going to last.

Kandi Burruss treated her husband Todd Tucker to a weekend of fun and friends in celebration his birthday. “Happy Birthday to my love @todd167!!!!! I love you babe!” she wrote. “His bday was Monday August 4th but we’re celebrating all weekend!” The couple hit up Compound in Atlanta on Saturday, with Toya Wright and her hubby Memphitz, Porsha Williams, Erica Dixon, and Kenny Burns all joining them.

In addition to partying, the Real Housewives of Atlanta star had a huge surprise in store for her man; gifting him with a Corvette Stingray. She presented the car to him, complete with a big red bow – and snapped a couple of pics of him inside his new ride. “#MadeInTheUSA #HeLovesHisGift I’m a good wife! Lol!” she wrote. I see who is about to be battling against each other, the Newley released Remy Ma and Nicki Minaj. Remy got her hair done and released a song in less than 2 days. It takes my lazy behind 2 days just to clean my room…and I ain’t even been to jail before. Remy said she was coming for Nicki’s head when she found about that shot Nicki threw at her and even spatt a freestyle diss in prison. Sherri Shepherd is filming her final episode for ABC’s ‘The View’. Shepherd says that she is in a great place right now. She shared that she has just signed on to a new movie ‘Ride Along 2′ alongside Ice Cube, Kevin Hart, and Tikka Sumpter. She shares that just because ‘The View’ has ended does not mean her life has stopped. She’s really happy and thankful for all of her family, friends, and fans for their continuous support.
