Jill Scott Goes Blonde For ESSENCE’s September 2014 Issue; Talks Love & More
Jill Scott has a brand new look for the cover of ESSENCE magazine’s September 2014 issue. The “Golden” singer showcases her hot new bod, and style evolution; rockin’ an Ekineyo dress and platinum blonde wig.
Jill, who stars in the James Brown biopic Get On Up (out August 1) - playing the Godfather of Soul’s second wife, Deidre “Dee Dee” Jenkins - told the publication that she’s head-over-heels in love, but prefers not to disclose any details about her private life:
My only job is to be happy. So for everybody that cares about me and is not trying to be all up in a celebrity’s business, just know that I’m happy. My son is happy. We enjoy our lives.
The songstress says that she is working on new music for her yet-to-be-titled fifth album, when she’s not busy with the “two men” in her life. But, advises fans they it may be a while before the album’s release. “I’m a wood-burning stove,” she says. “It’s a slow brew.”
