Usher Covers “Cigar Aficionado” Magazine + Listen To His New Song “Believe Me"
Usher is dapper in a suit, with a cigar in hand, on the cover of Cigar Aficionado‘s September/October 2014 issue. Inside, he talks the changing music business, Justin Bieber, and, of course, cigars.
Read a few highlights below..
On the changing music industry:
The Internet has killed the music industry. People don’t wait in line anymore at a Target or a Tower Records for a new CD to be released; they just download it. When you see companies like Blockbuster and Tower going out of business, you know the industry has changed.

On his troubled protégé Justin Bieber:
We’re all God’s children. I can only imagine. I mean, it’s a crazy journey at any age. Who knows what would have happened to me or if I’d even be having this conversation from this perspective.
On cigars:
I like the smell and taste of a good cigar. It’s a great fit that truly celebrates the occasion. And there’s nothing better, when you’re in a space where you’re being creative. There’s something about savoring a moment, rather than wracking your head to find a creative solution. I’m too young to consider myself a connoisseur. I just enjoy smoking cigars. And I’m not blowing smoke up your a–.
Also.. he recently unloaded a new song titled “Believe Me.” The R&B crooner sings of his regret over breaking his girl’s heart. His upcoming eighth studio album, rumored to possibly be titled UR, is due later this year.

Suge Knight is Not Cooperating with the Police!
Suge Knight was shot six times over the weekend; but he’s uninterested in talking to the police about the matter. Yes, Suge Knight is nobody’s snitch.
Check out the details Suge Knight is NOT talking to cops about his six new bullet wounds because he’s not trying to drop a dime on anyone. Those codes of the street are something serious.
Sources close to Suge says that he is fully conscious, although on several occasions police were turned away because he was supposedly sedated.

But during one visit cops were actually allowed to see Suge. A source says that Suge did not want to talk about the shooting. He chose to act disoriented, asking, “I was shot?”

Suge Knight is not the only person not cooperating with the cops. Witness of the shooting are not talking much either. It no one steps forward it will be tough to identify who pulled the trigger … even though the gunman is on surveillance video at 1Oak.
I reported earlier that cops believe that Suge Knight was targeted at the VMAs party.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey’s Teresa Aprea Insists Her Husband Isn’t A Cheater But Cast Members Disagree
If you’ve tuned in to the current season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey then you’re already familiar with Teresa Aprea and her twin sister Nicole Napolitano. They were added to the cast to try and breathe new life into the show and instead this seasons’ ratings have plummeted. In a nutshell, nobody really cares very much about them because they aren’t very likable.

Teresa is married to Anthony “Rino” Aprea and while she insists that he worships every step that she takes and would never cheat, it’s not necessarily the truth. According to the Sept. 1st print edition of OK Magazine Rino has indeed stepped out on his wife and in an upcoming episode of RHONJ it’ll be Teresa Giudice that asks the questions regarding the truth of the situation. Of course Nicole will go to bat for her sister and back up whatever she says, but that doesn’t mean it’s the truth.Teresa likes to present a fairly perfect image, one where she has this doting man and amazing son. Reality is they are just as imperfect and dysfunctional as everyone else. Look for her and Nicole to start a loud verbal war with Teresa G.- the kind that makes you think maybe they are protesting a little too much. What do you guys think, Rino is super friendly on the show, do you think that maybe he has crossed some lines here and there and cheated on his wife?  Do you think that she is covering for him now out of pure embarrassment?

Deborah Cox REVEALS How Prepared For The Whitney Houston Story, DISHES ON Perfecting Her
Although she's collected 12 #1's on Billboard's Dance Chart, "Nobody's Supposed To Be Here" singer Deborah Cox realized she had huge shoes to fill when Angela Bassett tapped her to recreate Whitney Houston's vocals for Lifetime’s I Will Always Love You: The Whitney Houston Story,” starring Yaya DaCosta (coming in 2015).

During a sit down with Billboard.com, Deborah opened up about the task at hand, “I knew I had some big shoes to fill...But I did the job that was supposed to be done.” Check out what she told Billboard about working on the movie, the best advice Whitney gave her and the new music she's creating:

On joining the Whitney biopic:
Deborah Cox: Angela, who is a friend, approached me about singing a few songs. She and I -- along with [songwriter/producer] Dick Rudolph, who is also closely supervising the music -- went into the studio to record “Greatest Love of All,” “I Will Always Love You,” “I’m Every Woman” and “I’m Your Baby Tonight” strictly for the film. There is no soundtrack. Obviously, the best-case scenario would be to use Whitney’s voice. But we’re all very passionate about telling Whitney’s story with integrity and very sensitive to all the talk. It’s been a complete honor to do this.

On how she recreated the magic of Whitney's tone and emotion:
The key was to sing in a tone as close to Whitney’s as possible, purely from the heart. None of Deborah Cox seeped into the performances. I have a little more of a cry in my tone when I sing certain things; her tone is round and warm. It was about creating the essence of her. I still haven’t read the script. Angela would tell me what was happening in a particular scene, so I sang with the spirit of that in mind. She was directing me in the studio, which was cool. I was very unbiased. I didn’t have any preconceptions.

On working with Whitney and the best advice she ever gave her:
“Go on, girl!” She was always that kind of motivator when working with her in the studio. Doing that single was a dream come true. She loved singing with other singers; there’s a great exchange and camaraderie that can happen. We laughed and had fun telling stories about the business. And I heeded a lot of her advice like have children and don’t miss out on personal things. I was honored to have those quiet moments with her. I always say I came from the School of Whitney Houston. Her style helped me understand the kind of artist I wanted to be.

On having 12 No. 1s on Billboard’s Hot Dance Club Play chart:
It’s been an amazing ride with dance taking off over the years. Both my No. 1’s, “We Can’t Be Friends” and “Nobody’s Supposed to Be Here,” were a springboard for everything, allowing me to do a number of different projects. It’s all about longevity in this business, which is hard to come by. It’s all in the song. And I’ve had the opportunity to work with great songwriters and producers.

On her upcoming work:
I’m looking for that to happen in 2015 through Primary Wave/BMG. Hopefully, I’ll have a new song out by the end of this year. I’m really focusing on well-penned songs … something I can really sink my teeth into. I love melodies and great stories in sync with what’s going on in my life.

Ok then!

K.Michelle Comes For Tamar Braxton's Edges, Tamar Responds!
Not sure why all this talk and attacks on hair have become status quo on the innanets, but things just got a little more dramatic between Tamar & K.Michelle.
In their umpteenth beef of the year, K.Michelle referenced an internet meme that uses the pic below from a recent episode of "BFV":

Now we all know women are sensitive about the ish talking about their hair.  So K., whose new "My Life" reality show premieres Nov. 3rd on VH1, went for the jugular posting this subliminal:
Oh K.Michelle.

Tamar had finally had enough and posted her explanation, saying that once she had her baby, her hair fell out.  But she's in the process of getting all that fixed.
"The Real" host posted a pic from her the BET Awards 2013 red carpet when she was still pregnant with Logan to prove she had edges right before giving birth.

Now that the mystery of Tamar's edges has been solved...hopefully K.Michelle and everyone else concerned can sleep soundly tonight.

Robin Williams Will Could Easily Turn Into A Courtroom Battle
People have finally adjusted to the idea of Robin Williams no longer gracing this earth and so now is when the real discussions and complications begin. First we heard rumblings about Robin’s actual health at the time of his suicide. We know that he was suffering from early Parkinsons Disease but sources have also believed that the actor may have had a recent cancer diagnosis. While these are the kinds of details that still remain a mystery, one thing is certainly true, there is a lot of money at stake now.According to the Sept. 1st print edition of Life & Style Magazine the actor had about $120 million in assets and these are all obviously up for grabs now. While Robin most certainly laid out in writing exactly how he wanted his estate to be divided things could be tangled in court for a number of reasons. All it takes is one ex-wife or one side chick to crawl out of the woodwork insisting that they deserved more for things to get messy.

There is also a question emerging about Robin’s mental state. The actor was rumored to be severely depressed and so while will’s need to be witnessed and notarized if one person suggests that he wasn’t in the right frame of mind to make such huge decisions then there will be an investigation. Robin had so many people and moving pieces in his life it’s kind of hard to believe that everyone will be on the same page, allowing his estate to be quietly settled. Do you think that will happen or do you believe that a messy fight is around the corner? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below!

It’s been over 13 years since the tragic death of singer Aaliyah and for some the pain will never dull. At the time of her death, Aaliyah was 22 years old and was dating music producer Damon Dash. This week, Dame took to his Instagram page, reminiscing about the singer. On one post, he wrote:

"I know how it feels to have the hottest chick in the game wearing my chain"
Dame had yet to weigh-in on plans for Lifetime to develop a biopic about Aaliyah’s life.

BET Apologizes to Jay Z and Bey for Tasteless joke about Blue Ivy
Yes, BET knew what time it was after yesterday’s debacle with Karrueche and 106 & Park poking fun at Blue Ivy Hair.  BET’s Stephen Hill took to twitter to apologize to all the parties involved and even tells everyone not to blame Karrueche…. Let me tell you why they are truly apologizing and that is because of the backlash.. It was all fun before all hell broke loose.

Certain things are off limits like children!!!! Beyonce Lite tweeted: Such poor taste BET and 106andpark!!
Stephen Hill tweeted
“The next 4 tweets should be read as one. Last night on 106 & park there was a stupid unthoughtful joke made about a young child, We apologize publicly to the child’s parents (and have done so privately) and we have taken punitive actions with those responsible. It was very bad judgment and we will serve you much better in the future. Oh, and please don’t hate on Karrueche; it was NOT her fault. We also apologize to her for putting her in that position.”

Hill also said the network privately apologized to Beyonce and Jay Z.
BET didn't return an email seeking comment Wednesday.
Tran, who has dated singer Chris Brown on and off, tweeted Tuesday that she did not write the joke. She wrote: "Now y'all know I LOVE me some Beyonce and Blue Ivy!"

Hill also tweeted that it was not Tran's fault. "We also apologize to her for putting her in that position," he wrote.

There shouldn’t be any need for an apology if they would of just thought about their actions before they did it.. Bottomline they should’ve known better than this… Like reverend Al Sharpton said at Michael Brown’s funeral yesterday “We got to do better as black folk and stop tearing down our own kind”.  It’s unfortunate that a station for uplifting black women, thought it was cool to belittle ir make fun of a black baby’s hair!
