#RHOA: Porsha Williams In a Crystal Mesh Maxi During a Night Out in Lagos HOT or NOT?

The RHOA alum was giving "energy" in a floor-skimming frock with dramatic sleeves while visiting Nigeria with her fiancé.

Porsha Williams is "in heaven." More precisely, she is in Lagos, Nigeria, with her fiancé, Simon Guobadia. On the itinerary: "authentic Nigerian food, great company, plus my Afro beats," The Real Housewives of Atlanta: Porsha's Family Matters cast member shared in an April 4 Instagram post. And, as expected, she brought stylish looks for every occasion.

First up: a glamorous outfit for a fun night out. In an April 2 Instagram clip, the mom twirled around in a crystal mesh floor-skimming frock, showing it off from every angle. The nude Matopeda Studios Flame Dress ($320) featured dramatic flared sleeves as well as a cutout and high slit in the back. Porsha paired her sparkly number with shiny gold stilettos that laced up her calves.
Of course, Porsha's glam was equally stunning. She flaunted dark, bold lashes, glittering gold eyeshadow, and a coat of clear lip gloss. Her hair was straight and parted down the middle.

"Energy," Porsha captioned her clip. "Mrs. Guobadia Loading…"

Days later, the fashionista took to Instagram again to capture another dazzling ensemble from her trip. This time, Porsha was radiant in a royal blue off-the-shoulder wrap dress ($235), also from Matopeda Studios. "Stepping out in these Nigerian Streets," she wrote.

It seems Porsha has an endless supply of amazing getaway attire. Last month, she brought her fashion A-game to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, where she celebrated her daughter Pilar Jhena McKinley's 3rd birthday. For the occasion, Porsha rocked a cheeky white ruched two-piece swimsuit as she soaked up the sun on a luxurious yacht. Then in February, Porsha enjoyed what she called a "beautiful view" in St. Barths with Simon, while donning a gold cutout maxi dress and woven hat. And days before that, she served amazing looks in the Caribbean, including a tiny denim bikini for a boat day and a black cutout halter top for a romantic date night.

#MusicNews: Dru Hill Reunite Previous Group Members For 25th Anniversary Celebration

Legendary group Dru Hill have something special in store for fans as they celebrate their 25th anniversary.

The group are rolling out an extended lineup which includes some of their previous members for an upcoming tour. This includes Scola and Tao, to join the Smokey and Black, as well as original members Sisqo, Nokio and Jazz. Unfortunately original member Woody will not be a part of the reunion.

Dru Hill have been no stranger to lineup changes through the years so the current reshuffling almost feels fitting to honor their legacy.

The group was originally made up of Sisqo, Nokio, Jazz and Woody, and they released their self titled debut album in 1996. Eventually Woody left the group and was replaced by Scola, and then Scola was replaced years later by Tao.

More recently, Jazz and Tao had left the group and Smokey and Black from the group Playa joined Sisqo and Nokio.

Despite all of the changes through the years, they are (almost) one big happy family again.

#HipHopNews: Kanye West Reportedly Seeking Behavioral Treatment In Luxury Facility

After pulling out of Coachella at the last minute, the DONDA rapper is reportedly seeking treatment to be a “better human and better dad.”
According to Page Six, his team is considering “behavioral” facilities “with a luxury component,” including upscale spots in Arizona, Thailand, and Bali.

“He wants to enter a behavioral treatment center to be a better human and a better dad,” said a source. “For the sake of the kids, Kanye has told Kim he’s not making any public appearances or inflammatory social media statements, and he will go away somewhere to get better.”

Amid the report, Fivio Foreign confirmed that Ye is in a remote location and focusing on his mental health. “YE is on a Island relaxing clear’n his mind & healing from all the stress of Society,” his “City of Gods” collaborator tweeted Friday afternoon. “He appreciates the support for the Album & the response.”

There are also reports that West, who has publicly struggled with bipolar disorder, is taking his medication again.
A rep for the Yeezy mogul told Page Six, “At this time, Ye is committed to a healthy co-parenting relationship with Kim and is focused on raising their beautiful children.”

This comes after his erratic behavior on social media, including attacks on Kim Kardashian, Pete Davidson, Trevor Noah, and others, which caused him to be suspended from Instagram for 24 hours.

He reportedly told Kim “he’s going away to get help” in the wake of his concerning behavior, and agreed to stop harassing his estranged wife and cyberbullying Davidson.
Back in 2016, West was hospitalized and had to cancel the remainder of his “Saint Pablo Tour.” In 2020, he compared his life to the movie Get Out and claimed that Kim was trying to get him committed to a hospital.

‘The Real’ Has Been Canceled After 8 Seasons
After eight years in syndication, ‘The Real‘ is coming to an end!
According to reports, the daytime talk show has officially been canceled. The program’s current eighth season will be its final one after the show’s core station group, the Fox Stations, opted not to renew it for next season. A final air date has yet to be determined.

While the specific reason for the cancellation hasn’t been confirmed, it’s speculated that ratings played a part in its end.

‘The Real’ is Warners/Telepictures’ third longest-running daytime syndicated panel talk show ever, behind Ellen and Jenny Jones, and one of the longest-running daytime talk shows in the last 10 years. The show, which broke ground as the first daytime syndicated panel talk show whose stars were all women of color, has received three Daytime Emmys and two NAACP Image Awards.

When The Real premiered in 2013, its panel of co-hosts included Tamera Mowry, Jeannie Mai, Tamar Braxton, Adrienne Bailon and Loni Love. Since then, Braxton and Mowry have parted ways with the show, as did one time co-host Amanda Seales. Garcelle Beauvais has been a co-host on the show since 2020.

Pittsburgh Steelers QB Dwayne Haskins dies after being struck by dump truck
Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Dwayne Haskins died early Saturday morning after he was struck by a dump truck while he was walking on a South Florida highway. Haskins was 24 years old.

Florida Highway Patrol spokesperson Lt. Indiana Miranda said Haskins was pronounced dead at the scene.
"He was attempting to cross the westbound lanes of Interstate 595 when there was oncoming traffic," Miranda said in an emailed statement.

She didn't say why Haskins was on the highway near Fort Lauderdale at the time. The accident caused the highway to be shut down for several hours, and Miranda said it's "an open traffic homicide investigation."

Haskins was training in South Florida with other Steelers quarterbacks, running backs and wide receivers.
"I am devastated and at a loss for words with the unfortunate passing of Dwayne Haskins," Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said in a statement. "He quickly became part of our Steelers family upon his arrival in Pittsburgh and was one of our hardest workers, both on the field and in our community. Dwayne was a great teammate, but even more so a tremendous friend to so many. I am truly heartbroken.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife, Kalabrya, and his entire family during this difficult time."

After a standout 2018 season at Ohio State, Haskins was selected 15th overall by the Washington Commanders in the 2019 draft.

Haskins spent two turbulent seasons with Washington before signing in Pittsburgh before last season.
"We are devastated to hear the news of the tragic passing of Dwayne Haskins Jr.," Commanders owners Daniel and Tanya Snyder said in a statement. "He was a young man with a tremendous amount of potential who had infectious personality. To say we are heartbroken is an understatement. Our hearts and prayers are with the members of Dwayne's family and all of those who knew him and loved him."

"Dwayne was a talented young man who had a long life ahead of him," Commanders coach Ron Rivera said in a statement. "This is a very sad time and I am honestly at a loss for words. I know I speak for the rest of our team in saying he will be sorely missed. Our entire team is sending our heartfelt condolences and thoughts and prayers to the Haskins family at this time."

Haskins played in 15 games over two seasons with Washington, compiling a Total QBR of 29.4 -- the league average during that time was 63.5. He threw 12 touchdown passes to 14 interceptions.

Haskins' time in Washington started somewhat controversially, as the scouts and coaches lobbied against drafting him with the 15th pick -- but Snyder wanted him. Haskins was a big name locally, having starred for three seasons at Bullis High School in Potomac, Maryland.

Haskins started seven games in his rookie year and the first four games the following season, but was benched after a 30-10 loss to Baltimore. Haskins was released by Washington later that season and went unclaimed on waivers. He signed a reserve/future contract with Pittsburgh in January 2021.

Saying he was humbled by the decision, Haskins stressed he was eager to work hard and absorb as much as he could from Ben Roethlisberger and Mason Rudolph. He made the roster as the third-stringer but dressed only once, serving as the backup in a tie with Detroit after Roethlisberger was placed into the COVID-19 protocol the night before the game.

Roethlisberger remembered Haskins in a tweet, writing, "I only had the privilege to know D-Hask for a short time, but in that time I got to meet a young man that didn't seem to ever have a bad day. He came to work everyday with a smile on his face and energy and love in his heart. ... Wish we ha more time together on this earth, but I will cherish the time and the laughs we had!"

In response to the news of Haskins' death, Rudolph simply tweeted, "Devastated."
Steelers linebacker T.J. Watt remembered Haskins as an "upbeat guy."

Steelers wide receiver Chase Claypool posted an emotional tweet, sharing that he spent time with Haskins this weekend.

"I spent your final moments with you and I can't help but think about how selfless you were in those moments," Claypool wrote in his tweet. "All you cared about was making sure that everyone around you was okay and I can't thank you enough for that. You are what I strive to be."
Tomlin and general manager Kevin Colbert both praised Haskins for his improvement since joining the team, and the Steelers re-signed him to a one-year deal as a restricted free agent in March. He was expected to compete with Rudolph and Mitch Trubisky for a spot.

"We're excited to see what Dwayne can provide, either from competition, or maybe he evolves as a starter," Colbert said in January.

Haskins had his greatest on-field success at Ohio State. After spending his first two seasons behind J.T. Barrett, Haskins beat out Joe Burrow to be the Buckeyes' starting quarterback going into the 2018-19 season.
Haskins backed up the Ohio State coaching staff's decision by delivering perhaps the greatest passing season in program history. He set Big Ten single-season records for passing yards (4,831), touchdown passes (50) and total offensive yards (4,939), in addition to a total of 28 school records.

The record-setting year led to Haskins being named a Heisman Trophy finalist and a third-team AP All-American.

In his final game as a Buckeye, Haskins threw three touchdown passes and for 251 yards in a Rose Bowl victory over Washington.
"The loss of Dwayne is beyond tragic and extremely difficult to process," current Ohio State coach Ryan Day, who was Haskins' position coach as well as the Buckeyes' acting head coach in 2018, posted to Twitter. "For those who knew him closely, he was much more than a great football player. He had a giant heart, old soul and an infectious smile. The Ohio State community and our entire football program are heartbroken."

The school also released a statement: "The Ohio State Department of Athletics is terribly saddened to learn the death of Dwayne Haskins Saturday morning. We are thinking of the entire Haskins family during this most difficult time. Our prayers are with the family, and with his current and former teammates, coaches, friends and relatives."

"Heartbroken to hear of the loss of Dwayne Haskins Jr.," former Buckeyes coach Urban Meyer tweeted Saturday. "My thoughts and prayers go out to his incredible family. One of the greatest QB's in Ohio State history, but an even better son, teammate, and friend. God Bless!!"

The Pittsburgh Penguins held a moment of silence in honor of Haskins before their Saturday afternoon game against the Washington Capitals

Trey Songz Cleared in Las Vegas Sexual Assault Investigation by Police
Trey Songz has been cleared of sexually assaulting a woman back in November.
The alleged incident took place on Songz’s 37th birthday, after he reportedly invited a group of women to his hotel room at The Cosmopolitan. The Las Vegas Metro Police Department confirmed they had received a report about a sexual assault involving the “Heart Attack” singer—legal name Tremaine Neverson—and they were looking into the accuser’s claims. Authorities confirmed they hadn’t made any arrests at the time, and that Songz was cooperating in the probe.

“The LVMPD has concluded the investigation into the sexual assault allegations against Tremaine Neverson and determined that no criminal charges will be filed,” police told TMZ on Friday. “If any new evidence comes to light, the case will be reopened for further investigation.”

Songz’s attorneys told the outlet they were “pleased” with the outcome.
“We are grateful to the LVMPD for the professional police work done and their thorough investigation, which included findings of inconsistency in witness testimony and insufficient evidence,” lawyers David Chesnoff and Richard Schonfeld said. “We are pleased that Trey can now return to what he does best, entertaining.”

This wasn’t the first time Songz has been hit with sexual assault allegations. Earlier this year, a woman filed a $20 million lawsuit against the singer, claiming he had raped her during a 2016 party in Los Angeles. The suit was filed by attorney Ariel Mitchell, who also represented a second Songz accuser identified as Jahaura Jeffries. Jeffries sued Songz late last year, alleging he had sexually assaulted her during a 2017 New Year’s Eve party in Miami.
Back in February, Songz filed a motion to dismiss Jeffries’ lawsuit, claiming her attorney Mitchell attempted to pay off a key witness for the defense.

“Defendant Tremaine Neverson moves for sanctions against Plaintiff and her counsel for witness tampering,” the motion read. “[Witness 1] is an independent witness who was with Plaintiff and Defendant during the entirety of the period relevant to Plaintiff’s claim. [Witness 1] states—by an affidavit attached to this Motion and through recorded statements that may be presented at an evidentiary hearing—that the assault described in the Complaint never happened.”

Mitchelle denied the allegations of witness tampering, telling TMZ the motion was “nothing more than bullying and an attempt to silence counsel and the many victims who have been assaulted by Defendant Songz.”

Jussie Smollett Shares Song After Release From Jail, Rapping About His “Reputation”
Jussie Smollett is putting his thoughts to music.  On April 8, the former Empire star, 39, shared a clip of his latest single, titled "Thank You God…," on Instagram, adding that all its proceeds would be donated to charitable causes. The lyric video opens with a signed statement by Smollett that reads: "Channeling these thoughts the best way I know how. Love you."

The track was released around the time of his March 10 sentencing for staging a hate crime against himself. Lyrics include, "It's like they're hellbent on not solving the crime / Taking out the elements of race and trans and homophobia that's straight taking lives / But turn around and act like I'm the one that killed the strides."

Smollett was sentenced to 150 days in jail and 30 months of probation for filing a false report after he told investigators that he was the victim of an alleged hate crime in 2019. He was later released after six days behind bars after his lawyer appealed his conviction.

Set to music, Smollett claims that he was never trying to grab attention or "chasing that clout" with his actions.
"Just remember this...this ain't that situation / You think I'm stupid enough to kill my reputation? / Just simply to look like a victim, like it's something fun?" He raps. "Y'all better look at someone else, you got the wrong one."

While Smollett gave a shout out to "the people who kept it real, who kept it true," he also leveled with others who might not have sided with him, sharing that with "the narrative they played / I really over-stand the reason why y'all felt betrayed."

"They had my own people, thoughts going off the wall / That's why from L.D. to Don I still got love for y'all," he raps. "I know we'll meet again / Talk like real men instead of sharing shade in rooms and up on CNN."

The artist adds in the track that "all I ever really wanted to do was make my people proud."
In the video's caption, Smollett revealed that "100% of the profits" from the song will be donated toward The Rainbow PUSH Coalition, Illinois Innocence Project and Secure The Bag Safety. "With Love…," he wrote, before adding the hashtag #ThankYouGod.

Lady Gaga's Dog Walker Ryan Fischer Speaks Out After Alleged Shooter Released from Jail Due to 'Clerical Error'
Lady Gaga‘s dog walker Ryan Fischer is reacting to the news that his alleged shooter has been freed from jail because of a “clerical error.”
James Howard Jackson, the 19-year-old man who has been accused of shooting and robbing Ryan in February 2021, was mistakenly released from jail on Wednesday (April 6).

Jackson is one of three people who were charged in the robbery of Gaga‘s dogs and he is the one accused of shooting Ryan.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office told NBC News that the “charges were dismissed, and they were to be replaced by a superseding grand jury indictment unsealed at the hearing.” Online jail records show that Jackson was released from jail and it was mistakenly believed that the charges against him were simply “dismissed.” He still remains free.

Ryan took to Instagram on Friday (April 8) to share a statement on the matter.

“While I’m deeply concerned at the events that led to his release, I’m confident law enforcement will rectify the error. I ask for Mr. Jackson to turn himself over to the authorities, so resolution to the crime committed against me runs its course, whatever the courts determine that outcome to be. Thank you to everyone who is supporting me during this time,” Ryan said.

Ryan recently testified about the robbery and shooting.

#Bennifer2 Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are engaged again
Bennifer 2.0 is planning to take it to the altar. Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have gotten engaged for a second time after calling off their prior pledge in 2004, a representative for Lopez confirmed to CNN Saturday.
Lopez shared a video of her appearing emotional and sporting her green engagement ring in her newsletter "On the JLo."

Her sister Lynda Lopez shared photos from the video on her Instagram Stories writing, "So this happened. Love you @jlo @ben affleck."
The couple met in 2001 on the set of the rom-com "Gigli," where they played criminals stuck on a job together, and they struck up a real-life friendship.
While the film flopped, Affleck told Entertainment Weekly in January that he didn't regret it because he "did get to meet Jennifer, the relationship with whom has been really meaningful to me in my life."
Affleck popped the question to Lopez in 2002 with a stunning pink diamond engagement ring.
But the pair postponed their nuptials days before the wedding in 2003, saying in a statement, "Due to the excessive media attention surrounding our wedding, we have decided to postpone the date."

"When we found ourselves seriously contemplating hiring three separate 'decoy brides' at three different locations, we realized that something was awry," the statement went on to say. "We began to feel that the spirit of what should have been the happiest day of our lives could be compromised. We felt what should have been a joyful and sacred day could be spoiled for us, our families and our friends."

In January 2004 they officially called things off.
Speculation mounted that the pair had rekindled their romance after she and baseball legend Alex Rodriguez ended their engagement in April 2021.
"I feel so lucky and happy and proud to be with him," Lopez told People magazine about reuniting with Affleck. "It's a beautiful love story that we got a second chance."
It will be the fourth marriage for Lopez, 52, and the second for Affleck, 49.
She was previously married to actor Ojani Noa, dancer Cris Judd and singer Marc Anthony, with whom she shares 14-year-old twins Max and Emme.

Affleck was married to actress Jennifer Garner and they are the parents of Violet, 16, Seraphina, 13, and Samuel, 10.

Cavalier Johnson Elected as Milwaukee’s First Black Mayor
Voters in Milwaukee have elected Cavalier Johnson as the city’s next mayor, CNN projects. Johnson, a Democrat who currently serves as the city’s acting mayor, is the first African American elected to the post.

via: Revolt
Cavalier Johnson, who previously stepped in as acting mayor in late 2021, beat out Bob Donovan by a wide margin in the April 5 special election.
Johnson reportedly received 62,143 votes compared to 24,543 votes Donovan received, according to unofficial poll results.
Johnson takes over the seat previously held by former Mayor Tom Barrett, who has held onto the position since 2004.

“I want to thank Milwaukee’s voters,” Johnson said during his victory speech at the Hilton Milwaukee City Center. “It’s because of you that after a 176-year history in this city, a Black man can stand up and say that ‘I’ve been elected to serve as your mayor.’”

During his campaign, Johnson told voters he plans to curb the city’s violence and improve its COVID-19 response. The 35-year-old Milwaukee native was first elected to the Common Council in 2016, where he quickly rose to Council President. He also served as Alderman for the 2nd District, where experts have mentioned many of Johnson’s support on the ballots came from.

In regards to making history, Jone said the “symbolism” of the moment isn’t lost on him. “And it shouldn’t be lost on anybody in this room either. This is an important moment in our state’s history, so I hope that all the Black and brown boys and girls when they wake up for school, they do so knowing that where you live, no matter how much or how little your parents make, and no matter the color of your skin that in Milwaukee there’s a place for you too,” Johnson said.

“I know what it’s like to be hungry. I know what it’s like to move around,” Johnson continued. “So whether I’m meeting with school kids, the men and women who sweep our streets, or corporate CEOs that carries with me. And my calling is service because i’m a son of this city and now we must continue our work.”

Beyoncé Tells Fivio Foreign To Clean Up Record Before Clearing “Say My Name” Sample
Fivio Foreign says Beyoncé gave him her blessing to sample one of her most famous hits, but only after he agreed to make the record less offensive.
The drill rap star sat down with Hot 97’s Ebro in the Morning to promote his debut album, “B.I.B.L.E..” During the chat, the rapper revealed that his record, “What’s His Name” with Coi Leray and Queen Naija, features a sample of Destiny Child’s hit “Say My Name.” He says getting the record cleared included him cleaning up the lyrics to meet Bey’s standards.

“She heard it. It was a little vulgar, a little bit for her, at first. I cleaned it up. I cleaned it up. I cleaned it up a lot. It was like, ‘You can’t be talking about girls like that!'” the 32-year-old shared.

After tweaking his lyrics, Fivio Foreign says that music-publishing executive John Platt called him back and informed him he needed to do the same with Coi’s part of the record. Shortly after, the song was cleared just in time for his highly anticipated project.

The Kanye West-produced project features a collaboration with Ye himself, in addition to Alicia Keys, Lil Yachty, Polo G, and more.

Betty White’s $8M California home reportedly finds a buyer
Betty White reportedly wished to spend her final days at the Carmel home-- but had to relocate to Los Angeles to be closer to medical care.
Julien's Auctions/ MEGA
A buyer has emerged for Betty White’s bayfront home, according to a report.

Located in Carmel, Calif., the home was put on the market for $7.95 million by White’s estate last week. White died in December, a month short of her 100th birthday.
Her estate accepted an offer last week, TMZ reported, though the sale is still pending.
White bought the home with husband Allen Ludden, but he passed away shortly after.

Real-estate agents Nicole Truszkowski and Zak Freedman didn’t immediately return messages.
White bought the land with her husband, Allen Ludden, in 1978, to be the site of their dream home. But he tragically died of cancer days after moving in.

The 3,621-square-foot cliffside home features panoramic views of Carmel Bay.
White reportedly wished to spend her final days there — but had to relocate to Los Angeles to be closer to medical care.

Courtney Tailor confronted in Miami, attorney claims she is the “victim”
A video circulating the internet shows a public encounter with Courtney Tailor reacting to the backlash of her alleged murder.
Within the video, a blonde white woman — who TMZ has confirmed is Tailor — sits in the lobby of Miami’s Grand Beach Hotel. The cell phone footage was reportedly captured on Friday (April 8), and shows Tailor walk away from someone who tells her she shouldn’t be there.

“Right now, you should go because you just killed your boyfriend. Yeah, you did!” an unidentified woman says from behind the camera.
The woman who confronted Tailor is referring to reports that Tailor killed her Black boyfriend Christian Tobechukwu Obumseli in cold blood.

TMZ reports that the IG caption to the original video reads: “@mpdpolice does this look like a mentally unstable person to you, as she claims?”
Instead of being held behind bars, officials said Tailor was placed in a psychiatric hold after she threatened to commit suicide when she was brought in for questioning last week.

The OnlyFans model’s attorney, Frank Prieto, told TMZ that his client was out having a drink in private with her father when she was approached by the heckler.
“It is unfortunate that a member of the public, knowing absolutely nothing about circumstances and events surrounding the death Mr. Obumseli, would take the opportunity to harass the Clenney family during a time that they are trying to be supportive for Courtney,” Prieto told TMZ.

He went on to tell the outlet that Courtney is the victim of “physical, emotional, and mental abuse at the hands of Mr. Obumseli.” He also suggested to the outlet that his client may have been a “victim of human trafficking” as well.

“At the time of the incident, Mr. Obumseli was committing a forcible felony,” Prieto said. “He had gained access to Courtney’s apartment without permission on several occasions in the days leading up to this incident.”

“Courtney acted in self-defense; the investigation by both the City of Miami Police Department and the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office will conclude such,” Prieto continued.“With that said, we would ask for the public’s understanding about observing the family’s privacy at this time.”

On Friday (April 8), TMZ shared a video of Tailor covered in blood, sitting handcuffed in the apartment where her boyfriend died.
Thus far, Tailor has not been charged with Obumseli’s death.

Will Smith’s memoir climbs bestseller lists following Oscars slap
The backlash following Will Smith’s infamous slap at the Oscars hasn’t been all bad.
Sure, on Friday (April 8) the Academy banned Smith from its awards show and coinciding events for 10 years, and his movies have reportedly been pushed to the back burner. But fans, and Smith’s detractors have been eager to purchase his memoir since the slap.

According to Forbes, the new author’s memoir “WILL” has reached the best-seller charts once again. The outlet reports that “WILL,” which was released in November 2021, has climbed to the No. 73 spot on USA Today’s list of the Top 150 Best Selling Books. The placement marks the book’s third-best-selling week since its debut on the chart at No. 3.

It’s a memoir crafted into a story of how Smith mastered his own emotions. It chronicles “The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air” star’s transformation from a “fearful child” in West Philadelphia to “one of the biggest rap stars of his era and then one of the biggest movie stars in Hollywood history.”

Serena Williams may be ready to make her comeback at Wimbledon this year; she appeared to announce it on Thursday.
According to People, the tennis legend posted a clip to her Instagram Story where she told Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers that she’d be playing the world’s oldest tennis competition once again this summer — a message that seemed to announce her return to the sport.

“We’ve been talking about my comeback, and he’s been hyping me up and getting me ready for Wimbledon,” Williams told her followers of Rodgers. “Can’t wait!” she continued.

The 23-time grand slam champion clarified to Rodgers that “Wimbledon’s before the US Open” when he asked why she wouldn’t be participating in this year’s event. “I’ve got to play Wimbledon first,” she said, hinting at a possible return to the Open too. “Exciting!”

Alabama Governor Bans Gender-Affirming Meds For Transgender Youth
Alabama Governor Kay Ivey has signed a bill that bans gender-affirming medications for transgender youth.
The highly conservative Republican Governor signed the legislation on Friday, which states that doctors could be criminally charged for prescribing puberty blockers or hormones to transgender youth under 19 years old. The bill also bans gender transition surgeries for minors, though doctors made it clear that these procedures are rarely performed on underaged patients. Any surgeon who did perform an operation of this kind could face up to 10 years in prison. After the state House of Representatives passed the bill 66-28, Ivey signed it into law.

“I believe very strongly that if the Good Lord made you a boy, you are a boy, and if he made you a girl, you are a girl,” Ivey stated.

LGBTQ+ activist and state director for the Human Rights Campaign, Carmarion D. Anderson-Harvey, slammed Ivey and the bill, stating that the future of patients and doctors have been jeopardized.

Rep. Neil Rafferty, the only openly gay member of the Alabama Legislature, called the bill “wrong.”

In addition to the anti-gender affirming bill, Ivey also signed into law several measures that will prevent schools from discussing gender and sexual identity with children in early grades. He aims to keep classrooms of young children “free from any kind of sex talk.”

Texas Woman Arrested For Performing “Illegal Abortion” On Herself
A woman in Texas was arrested and charged with murder for allegedly performing an “illegal” abortion on herself.
Lizelle Herrera was taken into custody on Thursday in the southern part of the state and is currently being held on a $500,000 bond.

According to a Starr County Sheriff’s office spokesperson, who spoke with local news outlet KVEO TV, the 26-year-old woman was arrested because she “did intentionally and knowingly cause the death of an individual by self-induced abortion.”

Herrara’s arrest has sparked outrage and protests in Texas, where pro-abortion activists planned to rally outside the Starr County jail where she is being held.
Rockie Gonzalez, the founder and director of the Frontera Fund, told  Medium, “What we know is that…she was in the hospital and had a miscarriage and divulged some information to hospital staff, who then reported her to the police.”

Gonzalez could not confirm how far along Herrera was in her pregnancy.
