#RHOA: NeNe Leakes and Phaedra Parks Give Updates on Their Friendship

Although neither NeNe Leakes nor Phaedra Parks is on The Real Housewives of Atlanta anymore, their separate feuds with Kandi Burruss resurfaced thanks to Kandi promoting her new show, Kandi and the Gang. During a conversation on TMZ's podcast, It’s Tricky With Raquel Harper, the Old Lady Gang owner discussed the possibility of NeNe and Phaedra returning to RHOA.

Kandi declared she would stay if the former Glee star returned, despite the fact that NeNe allegedly called her a racial slur.

But when it comes to her ex-best friend Phaedra, Kandi said that they would never resolve their issues from Season 9, and said she would leave RHOA if the production team hired the attorney to rejoin the show. Kandi was referring back to when Phaedra told Porsha that Kandi and her husband, Todd Tucker, planned to drug Porsha following a night out. Not only did Phaedra's allegations cause a rift with her and Kandi that is still ongoing, it got Phaedra fired from the show.

In the past, NeNe and Phaedra have feuded with Kandi and several other Atlanta Housewives, including each other. But are the Georgia natives friends now? Here’s what we know.

NeNe was a part of the RHOA cast from its premiere season. Phaedra joined the show two years later, in Season 3. In their initial scenes together, NeNe and Phaedra often butted heads about the origin of their relationship. While Bobby Brown’s former lawyer said she knew The Apprentice alum from their days in Athens, NeNe claimed she “didn’t know” Phaedra.

The feud escalated in Season 5 when NeNe accused Phaedra of reaching out to her sisters at an off-camera event. According to the Cinderella actress, this happened after NeNe said she didn’t know the Marriage Boot Camp alum. NeNe confronted Phaedra at the Season 5 reunion and told her co-star, “You never win when you play dirty.”

After years of feuding, the Housewives ended their drama amid Phaedra and Apollo Nida’s divorce in Season 7. NeNe supported her castmate through the separation since she had just been through a similar experience.

The newfound friendship confused many of the other Housewives, namely Kandi. However, NeNe told Andy Cohen she didn’t want Phaedra on the show after the Season 9 reunion. Years later, though, the Fashion Police alum confirmed they were in a better place due to Phaedra sending her condolences about Gregg’s colon cancer diagnosis.

“You know, Phaedra, like many people, reached out to me when Gregg was sick,” NeNe said in a 2018 Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen interview. She was one of those people who reached out to me... This is my first time seeing Phaedra in like two years [at my birthday party]. She looked great."

Phaedra Parks supports NeNe Leakes moving on with a new man.

Since the supposed end of their feud, Phaedra has also confirmed that she and NeNe are friends. In an interview with Page Six, the licensed funeral director said she’s supporting the New Normal alum through her grieving process following the death of NeNe's husband, Gregg.

When asked about her friend wanting to move on after losing Gregg, Phaedra said she fully supports NeNe finding love again.

“If NeNe wants to find love, she is gorgeous, and she’s got a great body,” Phaedra said. “So I say, go after it, honey.”

“If that makes her happy, I support it,” she continued. “In my business, I see people die every day unexpectedly. The tears over graves are cried for deeds undone, and words left unsaid. So I just tell people you’ve got to live like today is your last day, not foolishly, but you cannot live with regrets. I don’t want NeNe to have any regrets.”

NeNe is currently dating menswear designer Nyonisela Sioh.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta airs Sunday nights at 8 p.m. on Bravo.

Jada Pinkett Smith Shares Cryptic First Message After Will Smith Oscars Slap

Before she presumably takes it to the Red Table, Jada Pinkett Smith has released her first statement after husband, Will Smith, slapped Chris Rock on the Oscars stage Sunday night.

“This is a season for healing and I’m here for it,” read a graphic shared by Pinkett Smith on Instagram Tuesday morning, with no accompanying caption.

The altercation at the ceremony took place when Rock, presenting the award for Best Documentary Feature, joked that Pinkett Smith could star in a “G.I. Jane” sequel due to her tightly buzzed haircut.

The “Red Table Talk” host has publicly discussed her long struggle with alopecia, which causes hair loss.

Smith, who would be awarded Best Actor later that evening, initially seemed to laugh off the joke, but then ran onto the stage and slapped Rock before quickly returning to his seat.

“Keep my wife’s name out your fucking mouth!” Smith yelled once he was seated.

The “King Richard” star has since issued a formal apology, writing in an Instagram post on Monday: “Violence in all of its forms is poisonous and destructive.”

“My behavior at last night’s Academy Awards was unacceptable and inexcusable. Jokes at my expense are a part of the job, but a joke about Jada’s medical condition was too much for me to bear and I reacted emotionally,” Smith wrote. “I would like to publicly apologize to you, Chris. I was out of line and I was wrong. I am embarrassed and my actions were not indicative of the man I want to be. There is no place for violence in a world of love and kindness.”

Smith offered his apologies to the Academy, the Williams family ― both Serena and Venus Williams, whose father Smith portrayed in “King Richard,” were in attendance at the ceremony ― and “everyone watching around the world.”

“I deeply regret that my behavior has stained what has been an otherwise gorgeous journey for all of us,” he concluded. “I am a work in progress.”

Pinkett Smith has remained tight-lipped since the incident, apart from posting videos on social media of the emerald green Jean Paul Gaultier couture gown she wore on the red carpet.

Days before the Oscars ceremony, however, the “Matrix Resurrections” star talked about embracing her appearance in a TikTok video about the Crown Act, a piece of legislation recently passed in the House of Representatives that aims to ban hair-related discrimination.

“Being a Black woman and dealing with hair in Hollywood, especially in the era that I came up in ― having your hair look as European as possible was always the thing,” Pinkett Smith said in the video. “That was really challenging, you know, because I liked my hair out, wild and curly. But nobody wanted that. So I always had to do my hair in ways that didn’t feel natural to me because of trying to play the game.”

“So if I’m doing a cover, everybody ― ‘No, we want your hair straight and flowy,’” she went on. “It’s like, ‘All right, cool, but that’s not really what my hair likes to do.’ So I had to learn to get the courage to just go, ‘Nah, I’m not doing it,’ which is why I feel the freedom today. I don’t give two craps what people feel about this bald head of mine. Cause guess what? I love it.”

The Academy has launched a formal review into the altercation, saying that it “condemns the actions of Mr. Smith” at Sunday’s show, and that it will “explore further action and consequences” for the actor “in accordance with our Bylaws, Standards of Conduct and California law.”

Rock, meanwhile, has yet to speak out since the ceremony, but declined to file a police report over the incident.

NFL Enforces “Mandatory Minority” Hiring For All Teams, Says Position Can Be Held By A Female Or Person Of An Ethnic Or Racial Minority

The NFL is attempting to expand their diversity efforts. Following a discrimination lawsuit brought by coach Brian Flores, the football league issued a minority based mandatory hiring policy for offensive assistant coach positions.

It seems that the National Football League is taking recent allegations of discrimination against them seriously. If you recall, former Miami Dolphins head coach recently sued the league and 3 teams for discrimination. Flores alleged in the lawsuit that he was offered 100k to make his team lose, and was passed up for a position for a less qualified white male counterpart.

President Joe Biden quickly condemned the leagues lackluster inclusion efforts, criticizing the organization for its lack of Black head coaches. Subsequently, the league launched a full investigation into the accusations. While the lawsuit is still ongoing, the NFL seems to be taking steps to rectify the claims. According to reports, team owners recently adopted policy agreeing to hire minorities only for the lucrative offensive assistant coach position during the 2022 season. Being such an important stepping stone to the much desired head coach position, the offensive assistant role is reportedly left, as a whole, undiversified.

Reports say the policy states:“The coach can be “a female or a member of an ethnic or racial minority.”

“The coach must work closely with the head coach and the offensive staff, with the goal of increasing minority participation in the pool of offensive coaches that eventually produces the most sought-after candidates for head-coaching positions.”

The new diversity policy is an extension of the league’s “Rooney Rule”, named after Art Rooney,  father of Pittsburgh Steelers owner Art Rooney II. Who additionally serves as chairman of the NFL Diversity, Equity and Inclusion committee. Established in 2003, the Rooney Rule mandated that all teams interview at least two women and/or persons of color when seeking to fill prominent positions.

However, the Steelers team owner acknowledges the rule fell short of expectations, and had this to say of the new policy:

“It’s a recognition that at the moment, when you look at stepping stones for a head coach, they are the coordinator positions…We clearly have a trend where coaches are coming from the offensive side of the ball in recent years, and we clearly do not have as many minorities in the offensive coordinator [job].”

Of the 32 teams, there are currently five minorities in the highest ranking head coaching positions.  Additional stipulations of the policy can be found below.

Do you think the new policy will succeed in expanding diversity efforts?

Ticket sales for Chris Rock's comedy show went through the roof after the comedian was slapped by Will Smith at the Oscars

The slap Chris Rock received from the Oscar-winning actor Will Smith might have stung, but it also appears to have sent sales for the comedian's coming show through the roof.

At least one ticketing site says tickets for Rock's "Ego Death World Tour" skyrocketed after Smith hit him onstage Sunday night during the 94th Academy Awards ceremony.

"We sold more tickets to see Chris Rock overnight than we did in the past month combined," the ticket-selling site TickPick wrote on Twitter on Monday.

Rock had announced the tour, which begins this week, over Instagram on February 23, promising "all-new material" and an "introspective" program that would be "very personal and very funny."

Newsweek reported seeing an increase in the price of tickets for one of Rock's shows. According to the media outlet, tickets for a table at a Friday show at the Wilbur theater in Boston rose from $338 on Monday morning up to $450 within an hour on StubHub.

While presenting the award for best documentary on Sunday, Rock joked that Smith's wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, could star in a hypothetical "GI Jane 2" because of her shaved head. Pinkett Smith has the hair-loss condition alopecia, and the joke appeared to rile her husband, who then stormed the stage and slapped Rock before returning to his seat and yelling at him from the audience.

The beef between the two men might have been six years in the making, however, with Rock having also made fun of Pinkett Smith for not being invited to the Oscars back in 2016.

Minutes later, Smith won best actor for his performance in "King Richard," and during his acceptance speech he apologized to the Academy for the altercation. He later apologized publicly to Rock, writing in an Instagram post that he was "out of line" and "wrong" to have slapped the comedian.

Jason Momoa on Lisa Bonet reconciliation: ‘We’re not getting back together’

There’s no hope for Mo and Bo. “Dune” star Jason Momoa definitively stated that he and estranged wife Lisa Bonet will not be getting back together despite rumors they are reconciling.

“We’re not back together. We’re family. … We have two beautiful children together,” Momoa told “Access Hollywood” on the red carpet at the 2022 Oscars Sunday night, one day after he underwent hernia surgery.

“We’re not getting back together. We’re family forever,” he reiterated.

A source previously claimed to Hollywood Life that the “Aquaman” star, 42, and Bonet, 54, were giving their marriage another try, but he had not shot down the reports until now. Instead, he has made vague mentions of them remaining a “family.”

“Lisa couldn’t be here, so we’re representing, me and the babies,” Momoa told “Entertainment Tonight” earlier this month at the premiere of his stepdaughter ZoΓ« Kravitz’s movie “The Batman” in New York City.

“We’re very excited to just be here. … It’s still family, you know?”

Following his appearance with his and Bonet’s children, Lola, 14, and Nakoa-Wolf, 13, at the premiere, Momoa took to Instagram to thank everyone for respecting them during a period of transition.

“mahalo to the fans and press for being generous and giving us space for the children,” he wrote on social media, adding, “it’s hard enough separating in the public eye. we appreciate the continued privacy through these times.”

The actor and the former “Cosby Show” star announced in a joint statement in January that they were parting ways after more than 15 years together. They began dating in 2005 and tied the knot at a secret wedding in 2017.

“The love between us carries on, evolving in ways it wishes to be known and lived,” the statement read. “We free each other to be who we are learning to become.”

Bonet was previously married to rock star Lenny Kravitz, with whom she shares ZoΓ«.

Hilaria Baldwin is pregnant, expecting 7th child with Alec Baldwin

Hilaria Baldwin announced Tuesday that she is pregnant with her and Alec Baldwin’s seventh child together.

“After many ups and downs over the past few years, we have an exciting up and a huge surprise: another Baldwinito is coming this fall πŸ’›. We were pretty sure our family was complete, and we’re beyond happy with this surprise,” Hilaria captioned an Instagram video showing her breaking the news to the other “Baldwinitos.”

“I’m sharing with you the moment we told the kids—as you can see, they are super excited! Our new baby is a very bright spot in our lives. A blessing and a gift during such uncertain times,” she continued, seemingly referencing the wrongful death lawsuit filed against Alec in February over the “Rust” movie set shooting.

“I’ve missed you during my break from social media…I’m back and looking forward to continuing with you this wild journey that we call ‘life.’ Our love to you and your loved ones ❤️.

Born Hillary Hayward-Thomas, the former yoga instructor and the “Boss Baby” star, 63, are already parents to daughters Carmen, 8, and MarΓa LucΓa, 13 months, and sons Rafael, 6, Leonardo, 5, Romeo, 3, and Eduardo “Edu,” 18 months.

Alec is also a father to daughter Ireland, 26, whom he shares with ex-wife Kim Basinger.

Hilaria returned to Instagram to share the news of their expanding family.

The news of the Baldwins’ expanding family comes as the “30 Rock” alum is in Italy filming his first movie since being accused of shooting and killing “Rust” cinematographer Halyna Hutchins in October 2021.

Alec denied any wrongdoing in legal documents responding to the suit filed by Hutchins’ family, instead blaming other people on set for the mishap-turned-tragedy.

“This is a rare instance when the system broke down, and someone should be held legally culpable for the tragic consequences,” the “Saturday Night Live” alum’s lawyer, Luke Nikas, wrote in an arbitration filing shared by Deadline.

“That person is not Alec Baldwin,” the filing argued, adding that Alec is just “an actor.”

Hilaria and Alec married in June 2012.

Britney Spears slams ex Justin Timberlake in since-deleted post

Britney Spears appears to have had a change of heart about her feelings toward ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake.

Despite previously posting videos of herself dancing to his songs in the background of her Instagram videos, the pop icon is now blasting Timberlake for “using” her name to sell records of his debut album, “Justified,” back in 2002.

Spears, 40, wrote in a since-deleted post shared to Instagram this week that Jesus spoke to her about those who betrayed her.

“Your mom had a serving with her book at the exact time when you needed her most …all for WHAT ??? FAME and ATTENTION!!!!,” she claims the Lord said of Lynne Spears.

Britney’s mom released “Through the Storm: A Real Story of Fame and Family in a Tabloid World” in 2008, which covered much of her daughter’s public struggles with paparazzi and mental health.

The “Stronger” singer then added of Timberlake, “Your ex did the same thing … he served with his first album using your name claiming you did him dirty!!!!”

The former couple dated from 1999 until cheating allegations on Britney’s behalf surfaced in 2002.

Timberlake, 41, seemingly confirmed those rumors by releasing his hit heartbreak track, “Cry Me a River,” that same year, and hiring a Britney look-alike as the model for the video.

The dichotomy between how the media treated Timberlake versus Spears was spotlighted in the documentary “Framing Britney Spears” in February 2021.

Timberlake issued a statement soon after the doc’s release, apologizing to both his ex-girlfriend and Janet Jackson for their 2004 Super Bowl performance nip slip.

“I am deeply sorry for the times in my life where my actions contributed to the problem, where I spoke out of turn, or did not speak up for what was right,” the “Mirrors” singer wrote in February 2021. “I understand that I fell short in these moments and in many others and benefited from a system that condones misogyny and racism.”

In April 2021, Britney appeared to accept Timberlake’s apology by sharing a throwback photo of them together.

However, the post made no mention of Timberlake. Instead, it was a birthday shoutout for her younger sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, whom Britney has also had a falling out with amid the release of Jamie Lynn’s memoir, “Things I Should Have Said.”

In June 2021, Timberlake spoke in favor of Britney again amid her conservatorship battle.

At the time, the “Piece of Me” singer had just delivered a 23-minute speech to Los Angeles Judge Brenda Penny, in which she blasted her family and alleged that the actions of her father, Jamie Spears – who controlled the conservatorship until September 2019 – were “abusive.”

“After what we saw today, we should all be supporting Britney at this time,” Timberlake tweeted.

“Regardless of our past, good and bad, and no matter how long ago it was… what’s happening to her is just not right,” he continued. “No woman should ever be restricted from making decisions about her own body.”

A rep for Timberlake did not immediately return Page Six’s request for comment on Britney’s latest post.

Britney is now engaged to actor Sam Asghari, whom she has been dating for more than five years. Meanwhile, Timberlake is married to Jessica Biel, and they share two sons.

Anthony Anderson’s Wife Files for Divorce…Again

*Anthony Anderson’s wife of 22 years has decided to pull the plug on their marriage, and the move comes after the couple previously separated but reconciled.

In documents filed last Friday, Anderson’s wife Alvina Anderson cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for their split, PEOPLE reports. She is seeking spousal support and wants Anderson to pay for her attorney fees.

“All gifts and inheritance, all assets, earnings, accumulations, and debts acquired by Petitioner prior to the date of marriage and after the date of separation, the exact nature and extent of which are unknown,” the documents reportedly state.

Alvina initially filed for divorce in 2015 but dismissed the petition and they appeared to be reconciled, E! News reported. However, the marriage remained rocky.

Anthony and Alvina were high school sweethearts and got married in September 1999. They share two adult children: Nathan, 22, and Kyra, 26. When Stewart first filed for divorce, she listed April 1, 2014, as the separation date. In the latest filing, she claims the date of separation is “TBD”.

In 2018, Anthony was accused of assaulting a woman, which he vehemently denied.

“It’s unfortunate that anyone can file a police report, whether it is true or false,” the actor’s rep said in a statement to Variety at the time. “The authorities have not contacted Anthony or any of his representatives about this matter. Anthony unequivocally disputes the claim.”

The LA DA ultimately ended its investigation into the matter, with the office saying, “The reporting party has declined to be interviewed by the investigating officer.”

FDA Authorizes Fourth Booster for Those Ages 50 & Up

As covid continues to linger, the FDA has authorized another covid-19 booster for those ages 50 and up just in case the virus spikes again.

This will be the fourth dose of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines available to that age group.

The CDC also signed off on this decision, allowing the shots to be administered.

The new boosters are to be administered at least four months after a recipient’s last shot.

Disney Donates $5 Million To The Fight Against Florida’s “Don’t Say Gay” Bill

Disney is fighting back against Florida’s “Don’t Say Gay” bill, which Gov. Ron DeSantis signed on Monday.

Not long after the bill was signed, the Walt Disney Company issued a statement slamming the bill, stating that it “should never have been signed into law.” The company, like many others, is hoping that the law will be repealed.

The bill will officially go into effect on July 1st and prohibits primary school educators from teaching anything related to sexual orientation and gender identity. Instructors at all grade levels must avoid these topics and any that aren’t “age appropriate.”

Disney’s stance comes after they received immense backlash after its CEO Bob Chapek failed to speak up about the bill that is seen as a direct attack on young members of the LGBTQ+ community. Chapek has issued an apology for not being a “stronger ally.”

DeSantis is unphased by the outrage. He says that if Disney and other organizations within Hollywood that once celebrated the disgraced Harvey Weinstein are pushing back against parent’s rights, he will wear the outrage like a “badge of honor.”

Chapek will be meeting with Governor DeSantis to voice the company’s concerns about the bill. In addition, Disney has pledged $5 million to the Human Rights Campaign and several other LGBTQ+ rights initiatives that are challenging the bill. Disney has opted to halt all political donations in Florida.
