#FASHIONFILES: Jaden Smith Stars in Mr Porter Shoot, Talks His Brand MSFTSrep
In a new feature for Mr Porter, Jaden Smith takes center stage as a modern renaissance man of the twenty-first century. Smith celebrates the latest drop of his fashion brand, MSFTSrep, by connecting with Mr Porter. Thomas Giddings photographs Smith for the occasion while Jason Rider looks after styling. Rider styles Smith in must-have items from MSFTSrep, which he pairs with other Mr Porter offerings such as Visvim and Beams Plus to create a cohesive look.
Mr Porter sits down with Jaden Smith to talk about MSFTSrep’s new collection, “Trippy Summer.” Smith’s fascination with psychedelic mushrooms serves as the inspiration for the season. “I believe that mushrooms are going to help us expand consciousness,” Smith says. “The collection is not just clothes to sell. It’s loaded with spiritual experiences and mystical states. We’re just making clothes that can go along with people’s journeys.”
Smith shares his thoughts on the sensation of being high on mushrooms, saying, “We’re taking advantage of the certain visual cues that happen when you’re on mushrooms.” The 23-year-old goes on to say, “Things slightly move. If you give something the feeling of motion, when you’re on mushrooms and you look at it, your brain will finish the work and put it in motion so that you’re like, ‘Holy f**k! His pants are moving.'”
Regarding multitasking in today’s society, Smith admits that “It’s all about multitasking. That’s what the internet has done to us. That’s what all of this has done to us.” To put it another way, Smith explains, “If I can watch a movie and go on Instagram at the same time, then I can definitely make an album and a collection at the same time.”

#RHOA: Kandi Burruss On Phaedra’s Possible Return To ‘RHOA’: ‘I Just Don’t Think She And I Need To Interact’
Looks like we won’t be seeing a Kandi and Phaedra reunion on The Real Housewives of Atlanta anytime soon as the reality star recently shut down any possibility of the two ladies joining each other on the same show ever again.

In an interview with Rock Topics, the Kandi & The Gang star was asked, “if they brought Phaedra back [to The Real Housewives of Atlanta] would you be on the show?” to which Kandi immediately replied, “no.” She continued, “I just don’t think that she and I need to interact. You know what I mean? I let her do her thing and when they decide to do that then, you know…”

The interviewer then interjected and said, “Okay, then you’d be like ‘I’m out of here. Nice knowing y’all. You gotta choose.” To which Kandi, “it’s not even about nobody making a choice because she’s other shows or whatever.” The interviewer then later asked Kandi if the situation was fixable and Kandi replied, “No, it’s not fixable. No.”

In the meantime, fans can catch Kandi on her new show, Kandi & The Gang, as well as in the upcoming season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, which Kandi recently confirmed is “fire.”

“Oh, I think it’s fire. It’s fire,” she recently told Andy Cohen on an episode of Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live. “You know, I tell everybody I’ll admit at the beginning, when we lost two peaches, I was a little nervous. But I am so happy with how it all came together. When I tell yall, it was just craziness from beginning to end. Funny. A lot of funny. A lot of people showing a lot of transparency. So you can see what’s happening in these relationships.”

Andy then chimed in, “I also like it because there actually was a lot of sisterhood too There was a lot of rooting each other on.”

To which Kandi replied, “Can I say it was different taping this year. I guess I’m used to dealing with some of the people from the past where we didn’t really talk a lot. But the girls this season, they really wanted to keep in touch. Keep the group text going. Talk outside of filming.”

“It feels like that,” Andy interjected and Kandi then confirmed, “It was a lot different.”

#MusicNews: Grammys Drop Kanye From Performance Lineup Due To 'Concerning Online Behavior'
Kanye West has been dropped from the performance lineup for the upcoming Grammy Awards due to his "concerning online behavior," the Yeezus rapper's rep told Variety.

Variety speculated that, if allowed to perform, West "might use the stage to continue his online harassment of Pete Davidson, his estranged wife Kim Kardashian's new boyfriend." Earlier this month, West released a claymation video for his song "Eazy," which depicts him kidnapping Davidson, burying him, and holding his severed head.

Kardashian, who dropped the last name "West" after a court declared her legally single, has previously warned West that his handling of the divorce is "creating a dangerous and scary environment," The Guardian reported.

The Grammys are set to air on April 3. West has been nominated for Album of the Year (for his own DONDA and separately for his production work on Lil Nas X's Montero), Best Rap Album (DONDA), Best Rap Song ("Jail"), and Best Melodic Rap Performance ("Hurricane").

This news hits just as Kanye comes off of a 24-hour suspension from Instagram earlier this week. The Meta-owned app put Kanye's account in time-out after he directed a racial slur at Daily Show host Trevor Noah, who said Ye's behavior toward his estranged wife "shines a spotlight on what so many women go through when they choose to leave."

Noah wrote that the slur — which has a meaning similar to "Uncle Tom" and which Kanye hurled at him in the form of re-written song lyrics — was "funny as s--t" but that Black people should not "strip each other of our blackness whenever we disagree."

Noah also wrote, "I see you on a path that's dangerously close to peril and pain ... I've woken up too many times and read headlines about men who've killed their exes, their kids, and then themselves. I never want to read that headline about you."

During a Twitter Q&A with fans, Coi described what it was like to shoot the video with the rap queen. “She arrived early. She stayed on set for 12 hours and did a scene with me in the cold,” she said. “She had her family there with here in her trailer holding her down. And In front of that camera . She’s a fu**ing natural 😤😤🔥🔥🔥 really that bitch in real life.”

Nicki revealed that she received six different feature requests, but Coi won her over with her flow. “Did Coi body that or did Coi body that? I was in love with her verse the second I heard it. No way I wasn’t stealing her outro flow,” she told fans.

“Blick Blick” is set to appear on Coi’s upcoming debut album Trendsetter, which arrives April 8.

Kirk Franklin’s Son Kerrion Cries While Discussing His Strained Relationship With His Dad
Kerrion Franklin, the son of iconic gospel singer Kirk Franklin, is giving an update on the status of their relationship.

In a clip shared via Bad Boy: Los Angeles, Kerrion Franklin appears to reveal that the two still have not patched things up following their very public dispute in 2021. It was then that Kerrion Franklin revealed he and his family had been estranged for years. Kerrion also shared a leaked audio clip of a conversation between him and his father, in which Kirk Franklin is heard using profanity and aggressive language.

Kerrion also accused his father of physically abusing him. As previously reported, Kirk Franklin denied the rumors, saying his son was facing deeper issues and he’d tried multiple times to get him help. At the time, Kirk said,

“I love my son and I have tried very privately to keep all of the areas that we’ve been working with him in counseling as a private matter. We’ve been having challenges with my oldest son for years. And again, as he’s gotten older, his disrespect has become more aggressive. But I’m confident that his mother, myself, Tammy, my family, there’s never been anything physical that concerns me, or even makes me uncomfortable because I know the truth, he knows the truth, and I love him and as a grown man I am still this dad and when it becomes aggressive, I still have to have a level of respect, I got to have – I’m still your daddy. And you – there’s still got to be respect and there can’t be levels of disrespect but I’m confident that there hasn’t been any physical abuse. I mean, we’ve had therapy and counseling sessions and documentation long enough to know that the deeper issue is, we’ve been just trying to help our son…”

In the segment for Bad Boys Los Angeles, the interviewer says to Kerrion,
“Let’s like talk about the relationship you had and have with your dad, or how it’s, you know, evolved, or not.”

Kerrion walks off immediately after.

Earlier former Bad Boy Records rapper Mase released new music and in what seemed to be in the form of a diss track towards Diddy, the “Oracle 2: The Liberation of Mason Betha” song definitely led everyone to speculate that Mase had some things to get off his chest about his former boss and close music collaborator.

The Bad Boy icon definitely lit hip-hop up on Monday, when the new song was released where he unleashed his grievances about Diddy, without mentioning his name, until now. During a recent Clubhouse conversation, Mase spoke about his latest single and made it very clear that he was never Diddy’s “brother.” Mase says, “I think I’ve handled it the way it should’ve been handled. From the bible, I read, from my understanding, when you have a problem you go to them one-on-one.” Made continues saying, “I never said he was my brother. We had similar goals. Did we have great music? Yes.”

Prince William & Kate Middleton Cancel Belize Trip Amid Protests About Colonialism
Prince William and Kate Middleton are cancelling one of the stops on their Caribbean tour.
The couple had planned a visit to a cocoa farms in the Maya Mountains in Belize, but were forced to put the trip on pause when villagers staged a protest about colonialism and the royal’s use of a football field in landing their helicopter.
According to People, the local Q’eqehi Maya people and the conservation group Flora and Fauna International have reportedly been in a dispute over the rights to 12,000 acres of land.

On Friday (March 18), villagers in Indian Creek were seen with signs that read, “Prince William leave our land.” Sebastian Shol, chairman of Indian Creek village, told the Daily Mail that the royals “could land anywhere but not on our land.”

Village youth leader Dionisio Shol added, “For us, it really hits home because of the treatment. The organizer said we had to let them use the football field and that people were coming to our village and it had to look good. Giving community leaders commands did not sit well with the community.”
A source told People that the trip had been canceled for “sensitive issues” involving the local community and the couple will be visiting a different location.

“Indian Creek was one of several sites being considered. Due to issues in the village, the Government of Belize activated its contingency planning and another venue has been selected to showcase Maya family entrepreneurship in the cacao industry,” the Government of Belize said in a statement.

Kentucky Judge Rules Ex-Clerk Who Denied Marriage Licenses to Gay Couples Violated Constitutional Rights
A former Kentucky clerk who in 2015 headlines for refusing to grant marriage licenses to two gay couples has been found guilty of violating their constitutional rights.

Rolling Stone reports U.S. Judge David Bunning in the Eastern District of Kentucky on Friday ruled that Kim Davis, who served as the clerk of Rowan County until 2018, avoided the 2015 US Supreme Court ruling Obergefell v. Hodges, which legalized same-sex marriage in the United States, when denying marriage licenses for David Ermold and David Moore among others.

“Defendant Davis violated Plaintiffs’ constitutional right to marry by refusing to issue them marriage licenses, either personally or through the policy she established for the Rowan County Clerk’s office,” read the court order. “It is readily apparent that Obergefell recognizes Plaintiffs’ Fourteenth Amendment right to marry. It is also readily apparent that Davis made a conscious decision to violate Plaintiffs’ right.”

Despite the ruling, Davis’ legal team showed no signs of backing down. Liberty Counsel, which is representing Davis, maintained they stand to prove to the court that their client is not responsible for damages.

“Kim Davis is entitled to protection to an accommodation based on her sincere religious belief,” Liberty Counsel Founder and Chairman Mat Staver said in a statement. “This case raises serious First Amendment free exercise of religion claims and has a high potential of reaching the Supreme Court.”

Meanwhile, the two couples in question have finally been awarded marriage licenses.
Michael Gartland, an attorney for the plaintiffs, told WKYT his clients “could not be more happy” with Friday’s ruling.

“As the court notes in the decision, this case has been pending since 2015. They couldn’t be more happy that they’re finally going to get their day in court and they’re confident justice will be served,” he told the outlet.

A lawsuit accuses Google of racial bias against Black employees, alleging that it pays them less and denies them opportunities
Google has been accused of systemic racial bias against Black employees, according to a lawsuit filed in California on Friday by a former employee.
Reuters and other outlets first reported the story.
The plaintiff, April Curley, who is an African American woman, alleged that the tech giant hires few Black employees and steers them to lower-level jobs, pays them less, and denies them advancement and leadership roles because of their race.

The complaint alleged: "Black Google employees face a hostile work environment and suffer retaliation if they dare to challenge or oppose the company's discriminatory practices."

As a result, Black employees at Google earn and advance less than non-Black employees and suffer higher rates of attrition, the lawsuit also claimed.
Curley's lawyer Ben Crump said in a statement to Reuters: "While Google claims that they were looking to increase diversity, they were actually undervaluing, underpaying, and mistreating their Black employees."

Press reached out to Curley's legal representatives but did not immediately receive a response.
It was reported in December that California's Department of Fair Employment and Housing was investigating the way that Google treats Black women workers.

Dr. Fauci Says He’s Ready To Retire: ‘I Can’t Stay At This Job Forever’
White House coronavirus adviser Dr. Anthony Fauci warns that America has more COVID-19 cases on the rise, facing another possible lockdown! He also says he’s ready to retire, claiming, “I can’t stay at this job forever.” While speaking with CNN on Thursday (Mar. 17), America’s top infectious-disease expert warned about rising cases of the latest variant, BA.2, and what it may bring.

Fauci said, “If in fact we do see a turnaround and a resurgence, we have to be able to pivot and go back to any degree of mitigation that is commensurate with what the situation is. We can’t just say, ‘We’re done. We’re going to move on.’ We’ve got to be able to be flexible because we’re dealing with a dynamic situation.” Fauci says the BA.2 subvariant, which has spiked in the United Kingdom, could see a surge here in that U.S. and be as infectious as Omicron, but less fatal. He explains, “The overall mortality is actually down. It’s a very interesting situation where the cases are going up, but it does not, at this point in time, appear to be any degree of severity. We generally follow what goes on the UK by about two to three weeks. I would not be surprised in the next few weeks, given the fact that we’ve begun to open up, and we have an increase in the BA.2 variant, that we’ll be seeing an increase in cases.”

While speaking with ABC News separately, Fauci suggested he’s ready to leave his post and retire. He said, “I have said that I would stay in what I’m doing until we get out of the pandemic phase and I think we might be there already, if we can stay in this. I can’t stay at this job forever. Unless my staff is gonna find me slumped over my desk one day. I’d rather not do that. I, unfortunately, am somewhat of a unidimensional physician, scientist, public health person. When I do decide I’m going to step down, whenever that is, I’m going to have to figure out what it is I’m going to do. I’d love to spend more time with my wife and family. That would really be good.”

Keke Palmer on her Hollywood hustle: 'It's just too Virgo to the max'
Keke Palmer has been booked and busy since the age of 9 — and the 28-year-old is showing no signs of slowing down.
"It's giving Tyler Perry," she told Bustle of her never-ending stream of gigs.
In her interview, the Nope star opened up about balancing multiple career ventures and the admirable work ethic that has kept her name buzzing for years.

"I'm used to having work be a priority, but I just happen to actually still be a young millennial. I think sometimes that flips over people's heads."
Her breakout role as Akeelah Anderson in the 2006 film Akeelah and the Bee set the stage for Palmer's whirlwind 20-year career.

The Illinois native went on to star in her own series on Nickelodeon, True Jackson, VP, and in the Disney channel original movie Jump In! all before turning 18.
"Growing up as a child actress, you can turn real old, real fast," she said of the typical child star experience.

She has since gracefully transcended from child to adult star and even though her recent series of quotable quips have launched her into a slew of viral moments, she let it be known that she has been running laps in the industry for years.

"People need to realize I don't quit… I wasn't always trending," she said.
Career longevity of this caliber is rare and Palmer doesn't take her continued relevance for granted. “Your girl is trying to get every job so she can make sure that her family is good, so I appreciate it. Miss Mamas is trying to break generational curses and build generational wealth,” she said, adding,"It's a blessing to me that I still have been able to maintain some version of existing as someone my age."

The actress has found continued success in simply being herself and credits her supportive network of family and friends for keeping her grounded in such a turbulent profession.

"I always talk to my mom every day, I always talk to my best friend Lenoria," she said.

As her career approaches the 20-year mark, Palmer still refuses to be put in a box and her thirst for creative expansion has certainly paid off.
"If I have a hobby or if I have something that I just do once or twice, somehow it can end up developing into something far bigger," she says. "Maybe back in the day they would've called it ADHD, but I'm just interested in so many different things."

Her boundless career grind has been a fruitful endeavor thus far, but the Alice star knows that with bigger ventures comes more scrutiny.

"Fame is traumatic, and a lot of attention is not something that everybody can deal with," she said.
As she takes on bigger roles and the accompanying recognition, her focus will always be on staying true to Keke, not the hype.

"I think that's so important to say when you reach these pinnacles of your life — you're prepared and you're still you," she says. "I didn't know that I would still be so close to the me that's always been here when this moment I've been waiting for finally arrived. But it's also just another moment."

13-Year Old Driver In Texas Crash Burned Down Family Home Last Year
The family of the teen driver behind the wheel in a fatal Texas car crash that left nine people dead was struck by another tragedy just months before the accident. According to a GoFundMe, the Siemens family lost everything in a devastating house fire.

Henrich Siemens’ 13-year-old son was driving a 2007 Dodge 2500 pickup truck when a spare tired failed, causing the vehicle to swerve in front of a van carrying members of New Mexico University of the Southwest’s men’s and women’s golf teams.
Mennonite Evangelical Church Seminole Pastor Jake Fehr told NBC News that the Siemens family’s house burned down late last year.

“The whole house burned down. They lost everything in that home,” he told the outlet.
According to the GoFundMe, the family also lost one of their pets in the fire. The family’s dog died hiding under a bed.
A family friend told DailyMail.com that the Siemens’ family home was burned down by the teen who was cooking eggs.

“Just before Christmas, their house burned down … The 13-year-old made some eggs and forgot about it,” according to a family friend, Aganetha.
“I couldn’t imagine going through all that and then to have this happen,” she told the outlet. “It’s just so sad.”

The funds from the online fundraiser would help the family get settled into new housing and replace some of the items they lost, such as clothes, toiletries, and school supplies. “Some of the children ran out of the house without shoes,” it said.

The funeral for Siemens and his son is planned for Tuesday and Wednesday. Fehr told NBC News that the funeral would be held at Mennonite Evangelical Church Seminole because it has more space than the church they usually attended. Pastor Richard “Buck” Wheat of South Seminole Baptist Church, the church they attended, will officiate.

Luann De Lesseps Apologizes After Drunken Night At NYC Piano Bar
“Real Housewives of New York” star Luann de Lesseps has issued an apology after causing a scene at New York City piano bar, Townhouse.
“This week, after a regrettable incident, I was faced with the truth,” De Lesseps, 56, began her statement on Instagram Saturday morning.

“I want to apologize to the staff at Townhouse and anyone else I may have offended with my behavior,” she continued. “Clearly my struggles with alcohol are real!”
De Lesseps was arrested in 2017 in Palm Beach, Fla., on Christmas Eve for being drunk and disorderly. She agreed to plead guilty to battery, trespassing and disorderly intoxication in exchange for the felony charge against her being reduced.

The reality star has publicly battled her addiction ever since, with time spent in rehab and continued efforts to maintain her sobriety over the years.
“While I’ve made great strides over the years, there’s been times where I’ve fallen. It’s one day at a time,” she went on. “I’m in recovery and taking steps to ensure this doesn’t happen again.”

De Lesseps was reportedly booted from Townhouse this week after causing a drunken disturbance as she “monopolized the piano” at the popular gay bar.
The reality star reportedly “belted out jumbled versions of songs,” which were so intolerable that “the crowd began booing her,” causing her to yell at the audience, screaming “f–k you!” to patrons.

“I’m grateful to my family and my friends for their constant support, sincerely, LuAnn,” she concluded.
The Countess found support in “Housewives” Cynthia Bailey of Atlanta and Lisa Rinna of Beverly Hills, both of whom left encouraging messages for their fellow Bravolebrity within the comment section.

Mary J. Blige On Why She Doesn’t Have Children
Mary J. Blige is currently celebrating the success of her new album Good Morning Gorgeous, which was the top-selling album by a woman when it was released last month. She is also getting personal and recently opened up to  E!’s Daily Pop on why she doesn’t have children.

“I have nieces and nephews forever and I’m always watching how people are scrambling for babysitters,” Blige, 51, said. “I don’t want to go through that. I like my freedom to go and move and do what I want to do. I don’t want to have to tend to someone all the time.”

Mary has so much freedom that she is partnering with Lifetime to produce a project under her Blue Butterfly production banner. The coming-of-age romantic drama, written by Sonja Warfield and Rachel Ingram, is titled Real Love and based on her 1992 song of the same name.

Blige said in a press release earlier this month, “I wrote ‘Real Love’ based on my real-life experiences and my fans connected to it in a deeply personal way. It’s exciting to now use this song and my music to create a new story by way of film, continuing to build on a pillar of the foundation of my production company, Blue Butterfly. My passions for acting and music now include developing diverse stories with music as the backdrop. I am grateful to Lifetime for their partnership in the story of Real Love.“

Mariah Carey accidentally wishes Shawn Mendes a 'Happy Thanksgiving' on St. Patrick's Day
The Queen of Christmas is mixing up her other holidays.Mariah Carey accidentally wished Shawn Mendes a "Happy Thanksgiving" on March 17. Intending to send the message to her cousin, another Shawn M, Carey corrected herself, saying, "Wrong Shawn. Sorry. Also, I do realize it is NOT Thanksgiving. Haha."

The "Señorita" singer laughed it off, responding with heart emojis that he "figured it was an inside joke."
Carey tweeted a picture of the text exchange, explaining, "My cousin Shawn M and I have this silly joke where we tell each other Happy Thanksgiving on St. Patrick's Day."
Carey's followers were quick to point out the icon's full battery, low number of unread messages, and the fact that both stars had the other in their contacts.

This isn't the first time the two have interacted on social media. In January 2021, Carey imitated Mendes' latest Instagram post, in which he wrote, "Grateful. The sun, coffee, my health, my family, old Mariah Carey songs, music, humans!!!"

Though the singers haven't collaborated in the recording studio, they have managed to pair up for social media hijinks.

Wendy Williams Is Honored by Tamron Hall: Her Fans Are 'Rooting for Her'
Tamron Hall is supporting Wendy Williams. The 51-year-old TV personality opened Thursday's episode of Tamron Hall by praising Williams amid her ongoing personal struggles and the cancellation of her show.
"Wendy is another mom. Another woman who created, executive produced and hosted her show," Hall began. "Wendy and I are currently the only two Black women who created, executive produce and solo host daytime shows on right now."

Hall's message of support came after Williams, 57, spoke to Good Morning America's T.J. Holmes on Thursday, telling him that her health is "very well," and adding that she has "the mind and body of a 25-year-old."
"When I saw her interview with T.J., it took my breath away because there's been a lot of stories out there," Hall said. "It was powerful to hear Wendy in her own words talk about her health, which has been speculated in so many places."

During Williams' interview, she also gave a potential timeline for getting back on TV after a months-long absence.

"I'm very comfortable [with returning to work]. You know, my partners with the show, everybody's ready," she said. "... Give me about three months. There are private things that I have to deal with and then I'll be ready to come back and be free and ready to do my thing."
Hall further praised Williams, saying, "At the end of the day we are moms, we are women who are working, and she did something that so many others could not, which is stay on more than a decade of that show."

"Wendy says that she needs about three months and she feels she will be back on TV," Hall added. "I know all of her co-hosts, her fans, like the Tam Fam, would root for me, are rooting for her."

On GMA, Wendy concluded her interview by telling her fans, "Keep watching because I'm going to be back on The Wendy Show, bigger and brighter than ever."

Kodak Black Meets Donald Trump Thanks to Ray J

Ray J has met with former President Donald Trump, and he brought Kodak Black along with. The meeting happened (March 17), and video from the event that shows the moment Black met Trump has surfaced.

Although the audio in the clip is difficult to decipher due to music and general background noise, Trump can be heard asking Black, "How are you?" as the rapper approached him. Black gives Trump a fist-bump and the two share a few more words.

Trump famously pardoned Kodak Black of his ongoing prison sentence in January of 2021 before he left office as President.
