#MAGFAB: Channing Tatum Relaxes Poolside with VMAN, Talks ‘The Lost City’
Channing Tatum speaks with VMAN ahead of his directorial debut with “Dog” and his starring role in “The Lost City,” alongside Sandra Bullock and Brad Pitt. The 41-year-old actor links up with the magazine for its 48th issue and spring-summer 2022 edition—Photography duo Inez & Vinoodh photograph Tatum poolside for the cover photoshoot.
Meanwhile, George Cortina is responsible for the styling for the laid-back outing. VMAN enlists the help of Tatum’s close friend, actor Jonah Hill, to do an interview with him for the magazine feature.

CHANNING TATUM ON STYLE
In this interview, Channing Tatum opens up about his evolving perspective on personal style. “Some friends of mine, like you and Zo [Zoe Kravitz] were like, ‘Why don’t you just wear what you wear? Why don’t you just be you?’ You gave me some very specific style tips,” says Tatum. “That’s what’s beautiful about having friends like you. Somebody can tell you a perspective that you can’t fully have on yourself.”

Tatum cracks a joke at Hill’s expense. “You told me never boots, but I understand what you mean now. No boots for me, boots on you are ok. I’m glad that you cleared that up because I did feel for a second very betrayed when you went on national TV with boots on.”
TATUM TALKS BEING A SINGLE FATHER
Channing Tatum confides in Jonah Hill about his experiences as a single father to his daughter Everly. “I know that I liked to act and play make-believe and magical things, but I just didn’t know if I was going to be able to meet her on her level, especially now that I’m a single dad,” admits Tatum.

“I was doubly afraid. Was I going to be able to do any of the stuff that a mother should do? That a mother, as a woman, can relate to her as?” The American actor continues, “And then as that journey unfolded, I realized that all I really had to do was just go into her world and do whatever that is that she wanted to do.”

As the conversation shifts to a different subject, Channing Tatum describes his experience working with Sandra Bullock and Brad Pitt on “The Lost City.” “There’s no shocking thing at all to me when you meet Sandra,” explains Tatum.

“She’s just exactly who you want her to be–the most wonderful, brilliant sweetheart. She produced the film and knows every single thing on the set and how much it cost, kind of person.” Tatum adds, “Brad [Pitt] in this movie is hilarious. If we ever do “Jump Street 3,” we have to—I’m telling you, he’s comic gold if you put him with the right character.”

#RHOA: Kandi Burruss Feels That Porsha Williams Moved on to her FiancΓ© Simon Guobadia Too ‘Fast’
Reality TV star Kandi Burruss of “The Real Housewives Of Atlanta” made an appearance on the Sunday, March 6, episode of “Watch What Happens,” where she shared her thoughts on the “RHOA” spinoff “Porsha’s Family Matters.”

Porsha Williams left “RHOA” after season 13 to star in her own spinoff, which features her family, her daughter, Pilar Jhena McKinley, and life with her new fiancΓ©, entrepreneur Simon Guobadia.

“I loved it,” Burruss said of the spinoff, before answering a second question about whether she believed Porsha moved on too quickly from her ex-fiancΓ©, Dennis McKinley. Though they appeared blissfully in love, McKinley cheated on “The Pursuit of Porsha” author while she was pregnant with their now 3-year-old toddler in 2019. The former couple attempted to reconcile, but officially parted ways in 2020.

“The Chi” actresss and many others have questioned the timeline of when Williams and Guobadia became official. After a month of dating, he proposed to Williams with a massive $1 million ring in May 2021, but Burruss believes it was too soon.
She said, “I might get in trouble for this answer, but first I love the show. I thought it was a really good show because I mean it was good TV. And I watched every episode. I like Simon. This is not against him, but I do feel like she moved on pretty fast.”

Burruss seemed hesitant to answer, considering her past fueds with Williams during their nine seasons together on “RHOA.” The two previously had disputes about gossiping and discussing their relationships.
“It’s funny because me and her had this argument before when I told her I felt she was moving too fast in the last relationship,” Burruss said. “And she was mad at me for saying something. So I promised I wouldn’t speak on her relationships anymore, so I need to shut up.”

Deion Sanders Had Two Toes Amputated, Could Have Lost Leg Due To Blood Clots
Deion Sanders underwent surgery last fall to remove two toes on his left foot.
The Hall of Fame cornerback and Jackson State football coach missed three games while hospitalized. Details of the procedure weren't made public at the time. On Tuesday he revealed in a teaser for his web series "Coach Prime" that surgeons amputated the big toe and second toe on his left foot after he was hospitalized for blood clots stemming from a previous operation.

According to the Associated Press, doctors initially feared that he might lose his leg.

“They were talking about the amputation of toes,” Sanders said, per AP. “Then they were talking about the amputation of my leg from the knee down. Then, they were trying to ensure I had life.”

Sanders shared footage from the procedure on an Instagram video promoting "Coach Prime" while writing that he "lost a couple of soldiers in the battle." Be warned, it shows a graphic image of his foot following the amputation.

“The hardest thing of it all was to look down there and see that and understand that once upon a time you were this type of athlete and you don’t know if you’re gonna walk,” Sanders said. “Because all you feel is just pain and you just wanna get out of this hospital.”

Per AP, Sanders developed a femoral arterial blood clot and experienced compartment syndrome, which required doctors to cut his leg open to drain fluid. According to the Cleveland Clinic, compartment syndrome occurs when "pressure rises in and around muscles." It can can "limit the flow of blood, oxygen and nutrients to muscles and nerves" and "cause serious damage and possible death."

Sanders told Andscape that he had eight surgical procedures in total and spent 23 days in the hospital — most of them in the ICU. He lost 40 pounds during the ordeal and needed help in and out of bed and the bathroom after his release from the hospital.

“It was the pain," Sanders told Andscape. "They cut all the nerves and sometimes that thing just throbbed. Ain’t nobody can tell me about no journey. I was fighting for life in there.”

Sanders finished season on Jackson State sideline
Sanders returned to the Jackson State sideline for a Nov. 13 game against Southern after his surgery with the aid of a motorized wheelchair.

Sanders finished the season with the team during an 11-2 campaign that ended in the Cricket Celebration Bowl in December.

Chris Brown Rape Accuser Text Him He Was 'The Best D_ck [She] Ever Had' Days After Alleged Assault
Chris Brown was accused of sexual assault by a woman who says he drugged and raped her on a yacht docked outside of Diddy’s home in December 2020. But text messages reportedly obtained by Miami police paint a different picture. According to Radar Online, the woman (only identified as Jane Doe) began obsessively texting the R&B singer just days after the alleged assault took place.

In the string of messages allegedly provided by the Miami police, the women sent nude selfies and told Brown he was the “best dick” she ever had. The messages also revealed Brown suggested the woman get a Plan B to prevent a possible pregnancy to which she said, “Oh shit ok I will.” Brown replied, “I definitely didn’t bust inside ya…just was hella faded so I wanted to be sure.”

After days of not hearing back from Chris Brown, the woman told him she got a new number after packing up and moving to Los Angeles. She then attempted to hook up with Brown at least four more times over the last year.

“Missing u (sic),” she said in a message nearly nine months after the Miami encounter. “U [sic] were honestly the best —- I’ve had (emoji) lol I just want it again. Why are you playing with meee [sic] lol.”

The woman continued sending unsolicited nude images of herself to Brown, along with messages in which she admitted she was “high AF” and asked Brown if he had “E,” an abbreviation for ecstasy.
Jane Doe — who’s reportedly a professional choreographer, dancer, model and musical artist — filed a $20 million lawsuit against Chris Brown in January. She said Brown went from being “friendly” with her to attacking her within minutes.

In a statement Chris Brown’s publicist said he didn’t want to publicly address the case but believes the text messages speak for themselves. Brown is planning on taking legal action against the accuser.
Brown’s attorney George Vrabeck of Vrabeck Adams & Co. Inc. said he intended “to hold ALL parties accountable so that we might begin to eradicate this behavior from our society. Our client deserves justice. The same justice that all victims of sexual abuse deserve.”

WNBA Star Brittney Griner Pictured For The First Time Since Arrest, Alleged Mugshot Released By Russian Media Outlet
Brittney Griner is seen for the first time since her arrest in Russia early February.
The alleged mug shot was reportedly aired by Russian state media over the weekend on their state-owned news channel, Russia 24 – and comes after multiple new outlets reported that no one had publicly seen the Phoenix Mercury star since her arrest on February 5th.

Late last week we reported that WNBA champion Brittney Griner was being detained in Moscow, Russia for carrying a vape cartridge that allegedly contained hash oil, according to Russian officials. The Russian government initially did not give the name of the American basketball player being held at their jail site, however a month after the arrest, a Russian state owned news outlet identified the player as 31-year-old WNBA star Brittney Griner, and released video footage of the moment Russian officials allegedly found the cannabis oil in Brittney’s luggage.

The all-stars arrest happened at the most inopportune time as tensions and sanctions continue to grow between the U.S. and Russia, due to Russia’s full fledged assault attempting to conquer the Ukraine. It’s also reported that the two time Olympic champion is now being investigated for drug trafficking and if found guilty, could face up to 10 years in a Russian prison.

While Russian state TV alleges that the mugshot was recently taken of the basketball star, American media outlets have pointed out specifics that make the photo questionable. Such as the photo having no timestamp – leaving the date and time of the photo being taken unconfirmed, as well as the inability to confirm what is written across the paper in Brittney’s hands.

What do you think about Brittney’s alleged mugshot?

Kelly Clarkson Settles Divorce, Will Pay Brandon Blackstock Over $1.3m Plus Monthly Spousal Support
Kelly Clarkson's divorce from Brandon Blackstock has been finalized.
The singer, 39, will pay her ex a massive one-time payment of just over $1.3 million, as well as a monthly child support payment of $45,601 for their two children, River Rose, 7, and Remington Alexander, 5, which started Feb. 1, per court documents obtained by The Blast.

Additionally, the couple agreed on having joint custody of their kids, although River and Remington will live at Clarkson's Los Angeles residence.

A representative for Clarkson has not commented while a rep for Blackstock did not immediately respond to request for comment.
Another stipulation of the agreement is that both kids will be vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus, as they will be traveling out of state to see their father at the former couple's Montana ranch, where he'll be living for the time being.

Although Clarkson will get both of their Montana properties, Blackstock, 45, will pay the "Since U Been Gone" singer $2,000 a month while he stays there until June.
In addition to the one-time payment, the American Idol winner will also have to pay her ex $115,000 in spousal support per month until Jan. 31, 2024.

The amount for spousal support is lower than the previous amount Clarkson was ordered to pay Blackstock in July last year, which was $150,000 per month, in addition to the $45,601 per month for child support.
The court docs also state that the singer will get the family pets, multiple cars including a Ford Bronco, a Ford F-250, and a Porsche Cayenne, as well as a flight simulator.

In turn, Blackstock will get the former couple's "farm cattle, livestock, stock dogs, and horses," multiple vehicles including a Ford F-350, a Ford F-250, an ATV, and several CAT snowmobiles. He will also walk away with a golf simulator and a couple of Patek Philippe watches.

Clarkson filed for divorce from Blackstock in June 2020 after seven years of marriage, PEOPLE confirmed.
In July last year, Clarkson requested to be declared legally divorced in documents obtained by PEOPLE. Clarkson reasoned that she and Blackstock "both deserve the opportunity to build a new life."
Clarkson was declared legally single in August, according to documents obtained by PEOPLE.

The same month — after an L.A. County judge ordered her to pay Blackstock nearly $200,000 a month in spousal and child support — a source said she's "more than fine."

"She is doing great and facing forward," a source told PEOPLE at the time. "She's enjoying the fact that she has the kids for the vast majority of the time and is enjoying time spent with them.

Nicki Minaj Defends Britney Spears’ Dancing: ‘Put Your Crown Back On & Leave It There Baby!’
The rapper was quick to remind the pop princess exactly how iconic of a dancer Spears is.
Britney Spears posted a sheepish apology over her legendary dancing ability on Sunday (March 6), and Nicki Minaj is having none of it.

“I recorded 30 videos of dance when I was in Maui… that’s fun to me !!! I know I’m not the best dancer, a lot of people make fun of the way I move but honestly as long as I’m moving and expressing my body outwardly in someway at this point … that’s healing to me !!!” the pop star wrote alongside a video of herself dancing alone in a studio. “Therapy is all mind work… I did that 10 hours a day, 7 days a week … there’s nothing worse than torture of the mind … I’d rather someone slap my face than f–k with my mind !!!

“Dancing you don’t think at all … I know my actions are not perfect but if you only knew how good it feels to feel with my body … I think most would get it !!! Bare with me, I’m learning !! God bless you all !!!” she concluded.

Minaj, however, was quick to comment on the post with a dose of strongly worded encouragement for the pop princess. “Not the best dancer? BRITNEY! PUT YOUR CROWN BACK ON & LEAVE IT THERE BABY!!!!!!” the rapper wrote in the comments section. “You ARE the best dancer!!! Settled that, what’s next?”
Back in 2011, the two stars teamed up alongside Kesha for the official remix to Britney’s hit Femme Fatale-era single “Till the World Ends.” The club banger and its original version continued Spears’ hot streak on the Billboard Hot 100 at the time, peaking at No. 3 and sandwiched between two of her five career No. 1 hits: “Hold It Against Me” and Rihanna’s “S&M (Remix).”

More recently, Spears has been celebrating the end of her 13-year conservatorship by doing everything from posting NSFW photos on her Instagram and getting engaged to longtime love Sam Asghari, to continuing to demand justice for herself.

Travis Scott launches Project HEAL to support community initiatives
Travis Scott is getting into his philanthropic bag with his latest venture. On Tuesday (March 8), the “Highest in the Room” rapper announced the launch of Project HEAL  — an effort that aims to support multiple community initiatives. According to TMZ, he’s already donated $5 million to the project — all of which will be allocated among different causes.

One-fifth of the funds will specifically be saved in his Waymon Webster Scholarship Fund for HBCU scholarships. As with previous grants, the awards will be given to underserved Black college students. He intends to provide financial assistance to at least 100 scholars who have maintained a 3.5 GPA or above.

Some of the money will be used to develop mental health and creative design programs, and part of it will go to the US. Conference of Mayor’s Task Force on Event Safety to protect fans when they attend artists’ shows — a decision seemingly inspired by his experience at last year’s Astroworld Festival.

As fans know, the Houston-based event went downhill when fans were trampled and injured amid a spontaneous crowd surge. Ten individuals passed away as a result of the incident, and hundreds of lawsuits against Scott followed. Given the large number of suits targeting the rapper, the cases were consolidated and will now be handled by one judge.

Per the last court hearing, a gag issue was ordered, preventing lawyers and those involved in the case from making their case to the media. “This case should be tried in the courtroom and not on social media or with press releases or other statements to the media,” Judge Kristen Hawkins said at the time. She added that statements about actual happenings in court are not prohibited, and asked attorneys to categorize the suits into four sections (deaths, bodily injuries, brain injuries and PTSD) for the next meeting.

Simone Biles "Says Yes To The Dress," Reveals How She Knew Jonathan Owens Was The "One"
Apparently the phrase “Say Yes to the Dress” will be an experience any bride-to-be will always languish in happiness before heading down the isle. Olympic-winning gymnast Simone Biles took to Instagram to share pictures of the mysterious moment for when she said “yes” to her wedding gown, People reports.

The 24-year-old athlete can be seen holding a picture frame with the phrase “I said yes to the dress at Galia Lahav LA.” With a grass wall as the background showcasing the boutique’s name in the picture and its Los Angeles location, Biles was all smiles as she prepares for the big day. She also hinted that multiple dresses will be on deck for the day of her nuptials when she captioned, [Said] yes to the dress(es).”

The luxury gown retailer also uploaded their own pictures of Biles from the front and to the side modeling sample dresses. However, those were not the actual ones she chose, according to Today.
Galia Lahav captioned, “It’s official: [Biles] said ‘YES to the dress(es)! We are over the moon & so honored about gold medalist & mega athlete @simonebiles becoming a GL Bride! (Not the chosen ones, but a sneak peek of Simone at her fitting ) #GaliaLahav #GLBride.”

Following her post, Biles took to her Instagram story and curated a Q&A session with her fans about the two dresses she purchased. “The first dress I tried on was one of the ones I picked,” Biles wrote. “The second one was about 8 in, [I’m] guessing.”
When another fan inquired about the details for her wedding, the gymnast revealed that her wedding will take place next year. Another interesting tidbit Biles shared was how she knew that her fiancΓ© , Houston Texans safety Jonathan Owens was the one after having her “aha” moment.

“So fun fact, the day after I met Jonathan, I told my best friend [sic] Rachael that I was going to marry him… I just knew,” she detailed. Owens, 26, proposed to Biles on Valentine’s Day after nearly two years of dating that blossomed during the pandemic lockdown.

Smokey Robinson Explains Why He Resents Being Called ‘African-American’
Smokey Robinson Explains Why He Resents Being Called ‘African-American’
A clip from last month’s episode of “The View” with Smokey Robison is making its rounds online.

In the video, Smokey talks about his poem, “Black American,” which was turned into an animation by a teacher trying to educate his students about the Black experience. While speaking on that, Robinson shared what being a Black American means to him and why he resents being labeled African- American:

“I resent being called African American because Black people have contributed so much to the development of the United States of America,” he said. “I think that when you do that, you’re disclaiming all the things, the contributions that Black people have made to America,” he explained. “You see, I consider myself to be a Black American, and I enjoy being called Black, and Black has been so negativized as a color down throughout history, by those who wanted to negativize it. And so, it spilled over into the Black community and to the Black people. And even Black people back in the day calling each other Black was a sign for a fight.”

During the interview, the Motown legend goes on to specifically credit Black Americans while highlighting their contributions.

Matthew Rondeau allegedly attacked trans woman at Shanna Moakler’s house

Matthew Rondeau allegedly attacked a transgender woman at Shanna Moakler’s Los Angeles home while she was away filming “Celebrity Big Brother.”
In early February, Elissa Lorenn allegedly went to Moakler’s house with her friend Shayan to hang out with Rondeau.

Lorenn claims when they arrived, they found Rondeau in bad shape as he’d just learned Moakler — whom he’s been on-again, off-again with since 2020 — had allegedly cheated on him.
“He had taken a knife and ripped through her paintings,” Lorenn claims to Page Six. “When I first got there he didn’t seem that f–ked up, but as the night progressed I was like, ‘Oh, this is like a lot.'”

According to Lorenn, the group made their way to the hot tub and were “having a few drinks” when the 29-year-old, who was naked, allegedly grew “stern and very kind of serious.”
“He walked up to me in the hot tub … and grabbed my face and started making out with me,” she alleges, adding that two other women were with her in the hot tub. “The night continues to go on, and he’s getting more and more sexual with not even just me but even with Shayan,” Lorenn claims.

Both Lorenn and Shayan brushed Rondeau’s behavior off as nothing more than an annoyance, but later in the evening, Lorenn and Shayan claim that everything changed. Lorenn eventually went inside to get a charger because her phone had died and claims Rondeau followed her inside and then had a personality “switch.”

“He pushes me against the wall and slaps me across the face very hard,” Lorenn claims, “and then puts his hands around my neck to choke me. I say ‘choke’ in the sense of low-key it was like a strangle.”
Lorenn claims she woke up the next morning and couldn’t move her neck and had bruises on her neck and shoulders.

“Even my face was swollen because of how hard he hit me,” she says, “He’s like a big man. I may be trans, but I’m certainly not that big. He’s a big man.”

With his eyes “glazed over,” Rondeau allegedly began making out with Lorenn “aggressively” before trying to “take it a little further,” but Lorenn claims that she was able to escape.
“It was such a shock to my system,” she shares. “I couldn’t even function. I was like, ‘What the f–k is happening to me right now?'”

Once Lorenn’s phone turned back on she called a car and fled Moakler’s house. When she woke up and saw her bruises, she explains she didn’t go to the police because of her previous experiences as a trans woman. She never filed a police report about the alleged incident.

“I’m a trans woman. This is not something that I necessarily haven’t experienced before,” she tells us, “so my first instinct was not to go to the police.”
Rondeau declined to comment on Lorenn’s claims. Moakler’s rep didn’t return Page Six’s request for comment.
Shayan tells us that Rondeau was allegedly being “out of control and a belligerent drunk” and witnessed Rondeau grab Lorenn in the hot tub. While she didn’t witness what allegedly occurred inside of Moakler’s house, Shayan says that she saw her the following day and noticed her bruises.

Last month in a separate incident with Moakler, police arrested Rondeau for felony domestic violence after he posted a terrifying video on her Instagram account. The former Playboy model was subsequently granted a protective order against him.

“Thank you to everyone calling with concern about Shanna,” her manager told us at the time. “She is OK and survived this traumatic experience.”
Rondeau denied allegations that he got physical with Moakler, claiming, “You know I’d never lay a hand on another Woman. My Mother is my Angel and my Best Friend. She raised me right.”

He also said at the time Moakler was trying to make him the “villain.”

Phil Collins Remains Seated During Berlin Concert Months After Revealing He Can No Longer Play The Drums
Phil Collins remains seated during Berlin concert months after revealing he can no longer play the drums
Phil Collins hit the stage in Berlin, Germany on Monday night with his Genesis bandmates as one of the stops on their current tour.
The singer, who is 71, joined bandmates Mike Rutherford and Tony Banks. While he entertained with his vocals, concertgoers were reminded of his declining health as he remained seated in a chair throughout the performance.

Photos from the band's stop in Berlin at the Mercedez Benz Arena showed a glimpse at his performance restrictions, just months after he revealed he can no longer play the drums.
In one photo, the "In the Air Tonight" performer was seen sitting in a chair and holding on to his microphone stand.

The British singer's performance led him to trend on Twitter, where several fans compared him to his former Genesis band member Peter Gabriel.

Despite his health setbacks, several rock fans said they were pleased to see Collins onstage.
"I'm not a Genesis diehard, but if I had a choice between Genesis as fronted by Peter Gabriel and the band with Phil Collins as lead singer, I'm definitely going with Phil Collins," one Twitter user wrote on Tuesday.

"Phil Collins is trending because he’s still around for us to tell him we love him," another person tweeted.

One fan positively added: "I saw him back in 2019 as just Phil Collins, then a few weeks ago during the Genesis tour. He looked exactly the same. Trust me he's fine, despite the vertebrae issue."
Others, however, shared their concerns about the musician appearing feeble.

The musician’s health has been in decline in recent years after suffering nerve damage from a spinal injury in 2007 that left him with damage to his vertebrae that’s forced him to be seen in a wheelchair occasionally, according to NME.

Last September, Collins appeared on the BBC Breakfast show where he discussed the 2021-2022 tour in which his son, Nicholas, was said to be taking over drumming duties. It was during his appearance that he revealed his drumming days are unfortunately behind him.

When asked directly by the hosts if he still gets behind a drumset, he revealed: "No. I’d love to, but you know, I mean, I can barely hold a stick with this hand…There are certain physical things that get in the way."

Although not being able to play the drums on the tour is disappointing for the musician, Collins noted that he is just happy to be along for the ride given that it is likely the band’s last. He described it as a way of "putting it to bed," as he mentioned in previous interviews.

"Yes, well you know, you say things. I mean, we’re all men of our age and I think to some extent yeah, I think it probably is putting it to bed," the singer said at the time. "I think, yeah, just generally for me, I don’t know if I want to go out on the road anymore."

Prior to the current tour, the last time the band hit the road together was in 2007 to mark its 40th anniversary. Originally announced in 2020, "The Last Domino? Tour" was supposed to kick off in 2020 but was waylaid by the coronavirus pandemic.

Bob Dylan Announces First Book in 18 Years, ‘The Philosophy of Modern Song’

Anyone wanting Bob Dylan to release “Chronicles Volume Two” or any official sequel to his previous memoir, “Chronicles Volume One,” which came out in 2004, is going to have to wait longer. But other than that, the news on the Dylan publishing front is astonishingly good. He does have his first book in 18 years coming out this fall, and it could be even more appealing to fans than a second diaristic effort.

“The Philosophy of Modern Song,” a collection of more than 60 essays devoted to examining other songwriters’ material, will be published Nov. 8, 2022, Simon & Schuster announced Tuesday. The publisher said the book has been 12 years in the making, with Dylan having started it back in 2010.

Artists whose work is covered in those 60 essays encompass the likes of Stephen Foster, Elvis Costello, Nina Simone and Hank Williams, according to the release — and assuming the book jacket is any indication, Little Richard will likely factor in, too. (He’s pictured alongside the Australian rockabilly singer Alis Lesley and Eddie Cochran.)

The announcement says the book will constitute “a master class on the art and craft of songwriting,” as Dylan “analyzes what he calls the trap of easy rhymes, breaks down how the addition of a single syllable can diminish a song, and even explains how bluegrass relates to heavy metal.” The announcement further declares that while the essays “are ostensibly about music, they are really meditations and reflections on the human condition.”

An audiobook will be available, with Dylan reading some portions and “a mix of other voices” doing the narration on others.

“The publication of Bob Dylan’s kaleidoscopically brilliant work will be an international celebration of songs by one of the greatest artists of our time,” said Jonathan Karp, president and CEO of Simon & Schuster. “’The Philosophy of Modern Song’ could only have been written by Bob Dylan. His voice is unique, and his work conveys his deep appreciation and understanding of songs, the people who bring those songs to life, and what songs mean to all of us.”

The company said Karp and executive editor Sean Manning picked up world English rights, audio rights and first serial rights from Andrew Wylie at the Wylie Agency. The latter firm is handling translation rights.

Jazmine Sullivan Cancels Another Show Due To Battle With Covid-19
Unfortunately for fans of Jazmine Sullivan, some audiences won’t get to see the singer as scheduled for her ongoing “Heux Tales” Tour. ON February 23rd, the singer announced that she would cancel her show in Sacramento as she felt “extremely under the weather.” At the time, the singer stated that she had tested negative for COVID-19 before updating fans because she did test positive on the following day.

“My doctor confirmed today that I’m positive with Covid. I am taking every precaution to isolate myself,” the singer penned. “I’m truly sad to have to cancel more shows but health and safety come first for myself, my team, and all of you.”

While many fans in Nashville were most likely preparing to see the singer perform, Sullivan gave fans an update that she is still recovering from the deadly virus with a post to her Instagram.

“I know I’ve been quiet but I’ve been trying to rest my body and my voice. COVID got the best of me and I have to postpone tomorrow’s show in Nashville. I apologize to my fans who have been waiting to see me. I’ve been so looking forward to seeing You all too and it has been hard for me to not play these shows. I’m really praying I will be ready for Atlanta and I’m trying to take it day by day. And I will be seeing You soon,” the singer wrote with the fingers crossed emoji.

We hope that Jazmine Sullivan will be in the best of health soon, as the singer battles COVID-19.

Eminem’s combined six RIAA Diamond awards, three albums, and three singles catapult him into music’s stratosphere and cement his place as one of the most accomplished artists in history. With today’s 73.5 million new award units, Eminem’s RIAA Award career total is 227.5 million – 166 million single certifications and 61.5 million album certifications.

RIAA Chairman & CEO Mitch Glazier says, “These awards recognize Eminem’s unflinching commitment to his craft and the enduring connection he has forged with fans over the last twenty years. With today’s announcement, Eminem becomes the top certified singles artist in our program’s history and adds a rare third Diamond Album to his many creative accomplishments. Congratulations to Eminem and his entire label team who have set the bar higher than ever!”

“Interscope joins Aftermath in congratulating Marshall, Paul, and the entire Shady team on this remarkable achievement. It has been an honor to be part of one of the greatest journeys in the history of recorded music. The most beautiful part of this is it feels like the journey has just begun,” said Steve Berman, Vice Chairman, Interscope Geffen A&M.

Created by the RIAA in 1958 to honor artists and create a standard to measure the commercial success of a sound recording, the Gold & Platinum Awards Program is the industry’s premier barometer for recognizing artistic achievement in the music marketplace.

The program trademarked the Gold Record (500,000 units) and formalized the industry practice of awarding artists for music sales achievements. Later came the Platinum Award (1,000,000), Multi-Platinum Award (2,000,000 plus) and the Diamond Award (10,000,000 plus). In 2000, the RIAA created its Premios de Oro y Platino Awards to celebrate Latin music, specifically albums and songs more than 50 percent Spanish language. The RIAA has counted digital sales since 2004 and on-demand streams since 2013.

McDonald's, Coca-Cola, PepsiCo and Starbucks join a corporate exodus from Russia

McDonald's, Coca-Cola, PepsiCo and Starbucks are the latest American corporate titans to join the corporate exodus from Russia in the wake of the invasion of Ukraine.

In a letter to its partners on Tuesday, Starbucks CEO Kevin Johnson announced that the coffee giant would suspend all business in Russia. Johnson said the store's licensed partner has agreed to pause operations at its 130 stores there.

And Coca-Cola announced that it is suspending its business in Russia. "Our hearts are with the people who are enduring unconscionable effects from these tragic events in Ukraine," the soft drink giant said in a brief statement.

PepsiCo, which has been operating in Russia for more than 60 years, said that, "given the horrific events occurring in Ukraine," it was suspending sales of Pepsi-Cola and its other global beverage brands there. It will also suspend capital investments and advertising in Russia. The company said it will continue to sell milk, baby formula and baby food in the country.

Meanwhile, McDonald's is temporarily closing its 850 locations in Russia, in one of the most symbolic exits by a global corporation from the country in protest over Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
In an email to employees and franchisees on Tuesday, McDonald's CEO Chris Kempczinski said the fast-food chain will pause all operations in Russia. He said the company will continue paying salaries to 62,000 people it employs there.

"Our values mean we cannot ignore the needless human suffering unfolding in Ukraine," Kempczinski said. "At this juncture, it's impossible to predict when we might be able to reopen our restaurants in Russia."

Boycotts of Russian products and groups spread, but the effects may be limited
Hundreds of companies have announced their exits from Russia in recent days. Among the most recent additions to the list are cosmetics company L'Oreal and car maker Ferrari. Russian users are also losing access to Netflix, Ikea stores and Apple products. Visa and Mastercard have restricted use by Russian holders.

Earlier Tuesday, Yum Brands, which runs KFC and Pizza Hut locations in Russia, paused investment in the country. Universal Music group, the world's largest record label, announced the closure of its Russian office and suspension of operations in the country. And on Monday, giant conglomerate Procter & Gamble cut back on its products and advertising in Russia.

A Yale professor tracks which companies are still doing business in Russia
As many companies continue to pull out of Russia, a Yale professor is tracking which companies have not curtailed operations in the country. Among them was McDonald's, which opened its first location in the Soviet Union in 1990 as a harbinger of the arrival of Western consumer culture.

Jeffrey Sonnenfeld, senior associate dean for leadership studies, tells NPR that the list — which contains more than 200 companies — is a way to encourage corporations "to do the right thing" and to hold them accountable for continuing to engage with Russia.

Publishing the list allows companies to see that others are taking action amid the conflict; it's affirming, he said, and something that can make other companies feel better about the decision. That's what Sonnenfeld called the "carrot."
People are booking Airbnbs in Ukraine — not to stay, but to lend their support
"The stick side is the public shaming of being on a category where they don't want to be," he said.

Sonnenfeld and his team have been tracking company withdrawals since the outbreak of war, he said. Companies such as Dell, Apple, Nike, General Motors, IBM and H&M were among the first to curtail operations in Russia, he said.

Some companies released ambiguous statements, which drove Sonnenfeld and his team to catalog the companies.
"We're shocked about what a catalytic effect an objective list has had in terms of either catalyzing some to move or clarifying positions," Sonnenfeld said. "We're very close to 300 now that have curtailed operations."

Russell Westbrook Supports Wife After She Opens Up About Their Family Being Harrassed and Receiving Death Threats

On Monday, Russell Westbrook’s wife, Nina, revealed on Twitter that she and her family have been getting harassed and threatened daily.
“It’s very important to understand the difference between name calling and ‘telling one’s truth.’ It’s even more important when you have a platform and a network to share your ‘truths’ with millions of people,” Westbrook tweeted. “It requires a certain level of responsibility.”

Her comments come after she called out Skip Bayless for criticizing Russell on his show and blocking her on Twitter.
According to Skip, he never blocked Nina and never will, adding, “I welcome your criticism and appreciate your defending your husband. But I will continue to tell the truth as I see it.”

Although Westbrook never mentions Bayless by name, her statement could be applied to any talking head criticizing the Lakers star based on their platform.

“When I’m being harassed on a daily basis over basketball games, and I’m having obscenities and death wishes for me and my family sent my way because you’re expressing your ‘truth,’ it’s hard for me to get on board with that,” Nina wrote.
“I don’t do the things that I do to receive attention, to get clicks, or for show,” she continued. “This is not a game to me. Basketball is a game. This is my life, my children’s lives, and my families’ life. Shaming anyone for any reason is never the answer.”

Last night, her husband Russell spoke out in support of his wife and commented on the hate he and his family had received.

“I 100% stand behind my wife and… it’s not just about this year,” Russell said. “Right now, she’s reached a point, and my family has reached a point to where it’s really weighing on them and it’s very unfortunate just for me personally because this is just a game. This is not end all be all. When it comes to basketball I don’t mind the criticism of missing and making shots but the moment it becomes where my name is getting shamed, it becomes an issue.”

Keyshia Cole Recalls Slapping a Woman Who Tried to Grab Eve’s Bag, Says That Incident Led to the End of Their Friendship
Keyshia Cole revealed on the most recent episode of  TV One’s “Uncensored” what led to the end of her friendship with rapper Eve.
During the TV One promo shared on the network‘s Instagram account, Keyshia described how life was in Oakland, California, and how she and most people from the area reacted to conflict.
“When I came straight from Oakland [California], it was still in me. The disrespect, things that would happen, how we handle it from the ‘hood. It was like, we fight. It took a long time to learn to not put my hands on people; you know what I’m saying.”

During her account of an encounter she had with an unidentified woman while she and Eve were leaving an event, Cole said, “There was a thing that happened with Eve. We were walking out, and somebody grabbed her bag or something like that, and I turned around and slapped the girl. It was like, girl, what is you doing? Back up.”

According to the singer, the incident caused her friendship with Eve to end. “Eve is really pissed off about that like we stopped hanging out. She was like, ‘I can’t hang with Keyshia like she can’t be slapping people.’”

Initially, Cole claimed to be taken aback by Eve‘s comments, but now she says she understands why her demeanor toward her changed rather quickly following the incident.

She said, “I was like ‘I slapped somebody for you, what the f–k is this ?’ But then it taught me a lot later, too, because being who I am today, she can get sued too. Me being a part of her crew, I just should’ve left it to security. Somebody gets paid for that; you know what I mean.”
