#RHOA: Kandi Burruss Says Sheree Whitfield Is “More Transparent Than Ever” On Real Housewives Of Atlanta

A whiff of spring is in the air, and it’s got a hint of some good old Southern peaches. Season 14 is bound to be a shift for the series, as longtime stars Cynthia Bailey and Porsha Williams left. But Sheree Whitfield knows exactly when a comeback is needed, and she’s returning to fill the void. Also, Marlo Hampton is finally getting that long-awaited peach in her hand, and she’s going to know how to use it.

Bringing Sheree back seems like a solid piece to that puzzle, according to Kandi Burruss. Miss Kandi has been singing She by Sheree’s praises these days, even calling her the queen of next season. Now, according to Page Six, Kandi is continuing to praise her castmate to get fans excited about another comeback.

Kandi says that Sheree brings “a new energy” to the show that it needed. In the past, Sheree’s comebacks have brought a much-needed dose of nostalgia. She’s become the official bone collector, ready to move the drama along at a moment’s notice. Now, Kandi says that she’s back to share more of her personal life than ever.

“She came back more transparent than she ever was. She used to be really private,” Kandi said. She acknowledged that Sheree hasn’t been totally closed off in the past, but she takes vulnerability to a new level next round. “She was just being her true self in a way that I feel like everybody is going to root for her from beginning to end,” Kandi added. I love the sound of that,.

Kandi also teased that Sheree’s relationship with prison boo Tyrone Gilliams will also play a major part in the story. “She was just extremely vulnerable with all that she was dealing with,” Kandi teased. It sounds like there’s much more to the story than another cease and desist sent Bravo’s way, and I cannot wait to watch it all unfold.

#MusicNews: George Michael Estate Accuses Tory Lanez Of Ripping Off ‘Careless Whisper’

Tory Lanez is being called out once again over an alleged unauthorized sample.

The George Michael estate claims that Lanez lifted Michael’s 1984 hit “Careless Whisper” without permission on his song “Enchanted Waterfall,” reports Variety. The song appears on Lanez’s ’80s-inspired album Alone at Prom, which was released in December.

Lanez’s request to sample “Careless Whisper” was reportedly denied in June 2021, but he decided to release “Enchanted Waterfall” anyway. The track was pulled from Spotify earlier this year, but it currently remains on Apple Music and YouTube.

“It was brought to our attention that the song ‘Enchanted Waterfall’ by the artist Tory Lanez incorporated an unauthorized sample of ‘Careless Whisper’ written by George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley,” the George Michael estate said in a statement.

“Requested permission for this use had been declined in June 2021 so we took immediate action on behalf of the writers, in collaboration with our publishers Warner Chappell Music, to prevent further exploitation as we will not tolerate any unauthorized use of any songs within the catalogues of George Michael and/or Andrew Ridgeley.”

Last year, Madonna accused Tory of ripping off her 1985 hit “Into the Groove” on another one of his Alone at Prom songs, “Pluto’s Last Comet.”

“Read your messages tor illegal usage of my song get into the groove!” the pop icon commented on one of Lanez’s Instagram posts in December, later telling Rolling Stone, “I am tired of being taken advantage of and I mean business.”

Tory has not responded to the unauthorized use accusations.

#HipHopNews: Coi Leray Announces Nicki Minaj Collaboration ‘Blick Blick’

Coi Leray’s rumored collaboration with Nicki Minaj is coming to life.

The 24-year-old rapper has announced that her new single “Blick Blick” featuring the rap queen will hit streaming services on Friday, March 18.

“My new single ‘Blick Blick’ w| The QUEEN @Nickiminaj 👑 drops this FRIDAY 3/18,” Coi told fans.

A video has also been shot and is expected to debut alongside the song. Coi shared the first photo from the visual featuring her and Nicki, who are both seen toting colorful guns.

Last month, Coi’s father Benzino revealed that his daughter recorded a song with Minaj for her upcoming debut album. “Her album’s gonna be dope. She got this song with Nicki Minaj that’s gonna be coming out that’s gonna be crazy,” he said during a Clubhouse chat.

But after Benzino’s announcement, Nicki seemingly shut down the suggestion that she and Coi had a song coming out. “I don’t have a collab coming with anyone,” she wrote in an Instagram Story, explaining that she is focused on her own music. “Onika mode. Love you.”

Nicki previously showed her support and offered some words of encouragement for the “No More Parties” rapper.

Jane Campion Apologizes to Venus and Serena Williams: ‘I Made a Thoughtless Comment’

Power of the Dog director Jane Campion garnered the full spectrum of internet love and hate over the weekend, first with her necessary quip about Sam Elliott, and then with an unnecessary quip about Venus and Serena Williams.

On Saturday, March 12, Campion was on the red carpet for the Directors Guild of America Awards, when she was asked about some disparaging comments Elliott made about her film on Marc Maron’s WTF podcast. Elliott — who’s acted in his fair share of Westerns — criticized the film for its “allusions to homosexuality,” complained about the costumes, and wondered, “Where’s the Western in this Western?”

In response, Campion said Elliott was “being a little bit of a B-I-T-C-H,” spelling out the word for added effect. “He’s not a cowboy, he’s an actor,” she added. “The West is a mythic space and there’s a lot of room on the range. I think it’s a little bit sexist.”

Alas, the good energy Campion garnered Saturday went out the window Sunday as she accepted the award for Best Director at the Critics Choice Awards. During her speech, Campion praised nominees and winners in other categories, including Will Smith, who’d picked up the Best Actor prize for his turn in King Richard, the biopic about the Williams sisters’ father/coach. Campion then turned to her “fellow fellow” nominees in the best directing category, but appeared to still have tennis on the brain as she remarked that all the other Best Director nominees were men.

“Venus and Serena, you’re such marvels,” Campion said. “However, you don’t play against the guys, like I have to.”

Although Campion’s comments appeared to be lighthearted and elicited some cheers in the moment, the criticism was swift on social media. Campion was called out for not only unnecessarily dragging the Williams sisters into her speech, but implicitly downplaying their accomplishments as Black athletes in a sport perennially dominated by white people. (Reps for the Williams sisters did not immediately return a request for comment.)

Campion has since released an apology to the Williams sisters, sharing in a statement: “I made a thoughtless comment equating what I do in the film world with all that Serena Williams and Venus Williams have achieved. I did not intend to devalue these two legendary Black women and world-class athletes.”

She continued: “The fact is the Williams sisters have, actually, squared off against men on the court (and off), and they have both raised the bar and opened doors for what is possible for women in this world. The last thing I would ever want to do is minimize remarkable women. I love Serena and Venus. Their accomplishments are titanic and inspiring. Serena and Venus, I apologize and completely celebrate you.”

Former Wendy Williams Show DJ Shares Fun Reunion Pic With Host!

Looks like Wendy Williams got to have some fun lately!

Even if you’re not a long-time fan of The Wendy Williams Show, you probably know by now that the host has been the subject of a number of rumors, conflicting reports, and even had to take legal action for a number of things in recent weeks, as she faces not returning to her beloved talk show. But, with Williams’ series having been canceled back in February (to be replaced by guest host Sherri Shepherd's new show, Sherri, in the fall), Williams has now reunited with a former employee, DJ Boof, who seems to not be interested in any of her TV show troubles.

It was just over the weekend that DJ Boof, who used to ply his trade on The Wendy Williams Show before being fired right before Season 12 started up in 2020, took to his Instagram page to give us one of our only recent looks at Wendy Williams since she was forced to take a season-long break from her daytime talker amid a number of health issues. And, they seem to be getting along just fine.

As you can see, both Williams and Mr. Boof appear to be free of any potential awkwardness over his firing, with both of them laughing / smiling and looking to be having a grand ol’ time sitting with one another again. Which would make some sense, if one of the rumors about him being let go from the show was actually true, and he was only replaced because he and Williams had begun dating.

At any rate, it’s nice to see Williams having fun and doing more than calmly eating a salad, as we saw her do in an Instagram post from her son in January. I can only imagine that she did regale Boof with tales of all of her recent problems that deal with her show, as that crying laughing emoji he shared in his caption seems to indicate that he probably lent Williams a very good ear for any necessary venting.

Of course, as noted above, Williams has had a disappointing time in the past several months when it comes to her talk show. Guest hosts have been filling in since the very beginning of Season 13, with Williams too sick with a number of ailments to ever appear on her own show. There have been increasingly disturbing rumors about her health and the state of her future with her namesake series, until late February when it was finally announced that her show would end with the current season.

Williams has also been embroiled in some personal legal action as she tries to recover. Early February saw her file for a temporary restraining order against her bank, to keep officials there from continuing to bar her from accessing her money and any account information, after those bank officials were told that Williams might need a guardian or conservatorship to manage her finances.

The former media maven also recently had a cease and desist letter issued to publicist Howard Bragman. He had made comments which were supposedly on Williams’ behalf after it was announced that her show would be ending soon. But, according to the letter (which was obtained by The U.S. Sun), Bragman wasn’t authorized to speak for her, with an anonymous source also stating that Bragman had never actually been hired by Williams and had been posing as her representative to several outlets.

If anyone needed a break and some good down time with a friend right now, it’s Wendy Williams. So, it’s great that she looks to be on the mend and was able to enjoy that with DJ Boof.

Abbott Elementary is renewed for a second season

Quinta Bronson’s new hit series Abbott Elementary has quickly become one of the biggest comedies on network TV, so it shouldn’t be much of a surprise that it’s officially been picked up for a second season. ABC announced the news with a memo from Abbott Elementary’s hilariously awful principal Ava Coleman (played by Janelle James).

The memo reads, “The camera crew I hired to showcase all that I’ve made happen at our beautiful school thinks I’m a star. I mean, are we surprised? No, we’re not :) With that said, it is with great pleasure that I share they’ll be returning for the 2022-2023 school year! That’s right—Abbott Elementary Season Two is coming to a screen near you.”

On the show, Ava couldn’t be less helpful to everyone who works at the school if she tried, but in her announcement she actually asks viewers to make donations to real teachers and schools—but, of course, the statement is written in a way that’s very true to Ava.

“Despite my being a natural in front of the camera, these things don’t come for free, and my staff is having trouble seeing all of my unleashed potential! Something about needing supplies? Anywho, I could use your help getting them (Janine) off my back. If you’re interested in supporting them and our community of young mind shapers, please visit DonorsChoose.org,” it says.

She welcomes “spa credits and gift cards over $100 on the heels of this thrilling announcement.” Never change, girl.

Skylar Astin to play cool failed detective opposite mean lawyer mom Geena Davis in CBS drama pilot

As ABC shared in its renewal announcement, Abbott Elementary is the network’s top new comedy in two years in the viewership demographic of adults ages 18-49. And it’s this season’s top new comedy, tied with CBS’ Ghosts, within that same demographic.

There are only two episodes remaining of the first season. The next episode airs on Tuesday, March 22 at 9 p.m. ET.

Will Smith Asserts "There’s Never Been Infidelity" in His Marriage to Jada Pinkett-Smith

The infamous “entanglement” was apparently not considered cheating.

via: Revolt The King Richard star sat down with Gayle King for an interview over the weekend and made it clear that he’s unbothered by the “all the chatter” surrounding his years-long relationship with Jada Pinkett-Smith.

“I have decided that chatter about my life can be of a benefit to people,” Smith said on “CBS Sunday Morning.” “I think the chatter is the first stage to having a real conversation and being able to truly explore if some of the things in your heart are loving or poisonous.”

When asked about “infidelity in the marriage,” however, he took the opportunity to shut the rumor down. “There’s never been infidelity in our marriage,” he clarified. “Never. Jada and I talk about everything and we have never surprised one another with anything, ever.”

The topic of the Smith’s marriage has been a recurring conversation for years and has only increased since the talented couple began to open up about their love life. Pinkett-Smith admitted that she had an “entanglement” with August Alsina and discussed their sex life after all these years. The “Fresh Prince” star revealed she wasn’t “the only one engaging in other sexual relationships.” He later explained that he and his wife “love in freedom” and keep it real with each other as they go through different stages of life as a couple.

“You love in freedom with everybody except your partner,” he told King’s best friend, Oprah Winfrey. “It’s friendship versus marital prison … So we talk about everything. I think the difficulty that people have and difficulty in discussing it is people only think in terms of sex.”

“Even the idea where people are trying to put something on it: ‘Will and Jada – what they doing with other people?’ Will and Jada ain’t really doing too much of nuthin,” he continued. “Will and Jada are on a spiritual journey to cleanse the poisonous, unloving parts of our hearts. And we’re doing it together in this lifetime no matter what. But the goal is not a sexual goal, everybody. We are going to love each other no matter what.”

Tyler Perry says LGBTQ+ storylines are needed in Netflix's 'A Madea Homecoming' on Netflix

Tyler Perry is no stranger to making audiences laugh with his humoristic, feel-good films. After bringing popular character Madea back to life in Netflix’s A Madea Homecoming, the studio mogul revealed why the movie and LGBTQ+ representation in film are necessary.

During a sit-down interview with VIBE, Perry explains that bringing back Madea was essential in times of “social unrest” and the effects of the pandemic. “I wanted to do something that just made people laugh, and that’s why I wanted to bring her back. I just want people to laugh, not get too deep, not to get too serious, not get all up in a roar about it, but just watch it for it, as silly as it is, and just have yourself a good laugh.”

The film, which premiered on Feb. 25, is a drama ensued story centered on the matriarch’s great-grandson’s graduation. Particularly, fans will notice that Perry highlighted sensitive themes such as the police defunding, Black Lives Matter and the inclusion of the LGBTQ+ community among Black audiences.

“I wanted to speak to just us as a people embracing people for who they are. It’s their lives to live,” he stated. “It’s about love, meeting people with love, even the things that are very difficult for them, and letting people know that the people who love you are going to love you anyway. That’s what was important to me. That’s the message I wanted people to have.”

The 52-year-old director continued to emphasize why it’s important to showcase characters who may struggle with acceptance of their sexuality and receiving it in return from those closest to them. “…Watching the things that have happened to Matthew Shepherd in Wyoming or Tyler Clementi jumping off a bridge because of people finding out that they were gay. And I wanted to speak to just us as a people embracing people for who they are.

While he admitted he didn’t have a favorite film based on the popular character, Perry did say, “Each one of them has a special place in my heart, for sure.” In the movie’s closing credits, he pays homage to Grammy-winner Beyoncé in a parody spoof from her highly-rated 2019 documentary, Homecoming.

Taraji P. Henson calls for Jussie Smollett's release from jail: "He has already lost everything"

Taraji P. Henson has taken issue with the sentencing of her “Empire” costar Jussie Smollett. On Sunday (March 13), the actress took to Instagram to express her dissent while highlighting the duplicities of the legal system with an Emmett Till reference.

“I am not here to debate you on his innocence but we can agree that the punishment does not fit the crime,” the Oscar-nominated star wrote alongside an image of the hashtag #FreeJussie. “Emmett Till was brutally beat and ultimately murdered because of a lie and none of the people involved with his demise spent one day in jail, even after Carolyn Bryant admitted that her claims were false. No one was hurt or killed during Jussie’s ordeal. He has already lost everything, EVERYTHING!”

According to Henson, Smollett’s already being penalized as the case — which played out in public — has resulted in a tarnished reputation and lack of employment opportunities in Hollywood.

“To me as an artist not able to create that in itself is punishment enough,” she continued. “He can’t get a job. No one in Hollywood will hire him and again as an artist who loves to create, that is prison. My prayer is that he is freed and put on house arrest and probation because in this case that would seem fair.”

As previously reported, Smollett was ordered to pay $120,000 + restitution and a $25,000 fine for making false reports about his involvement in a hate crime. He was also sentenced to  30 months probation, which includes 150 days in Cook County Jail, and has since been placed in a psychiatric ward following some mix-ups with paperwork.

“What’s very concerning is that there was a note attached to the paperwork today, and it said on the front of his jail cell … that he is at risk of self-harm,” his brother Jocqui Smollett revealed on Instagram.

“I want to just make it clear to folks that he is in no way shape or form at risk to self-harm, and he wants to let folks know that, that he is very stable, he is very strong, he is very healthy and ready to take on the challenge that ultimately has been put up against him,” he continued, echoing Smollett’s previous claim that he’s “not suicidal.” “This is not right. This is a complete lack of justice. It’s angering, it’s an outrage.”

Regina Hall hits the red carpet to promote her new Amazon movie Master at SXSW... while discussing craft awards not held live at Oscars

The Amazon Studios film had its world premiere at Sundance in January before screening at SXSW in Austin on Monday, ahead of the March 18 debut in select theaters and on Amazon Prime Video.

The 51-year-old actress also discussed the hot-button issue of craft awards not being handed out live at the ceremony, in a new interview with Deadline.

Regina also spoke out for the first time about The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' decision to cut eight awards from the live broadcast.

Those awards - Production Design, Documentary Short, Film Editing, Makeup and Hairstyling, Original Score, Animated Short, Live Action Short, and Sound - will be handed out an hour before the ceremony, with footage of their speeches edited 'seamlessly' into the live telecast.

The move has been met with much criticism, though she insisted in an interview with Deadline that all of the winners will get their moment to shine.

Speaking out: Regina also spoke out for the first time about The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' decision to cut eight awards from the live broadcast

'They won’t be out of the show. We’ll get to see all of the winners. Obviously, we love – hair, make-up, sound, editing – there is not a category that is any less,' Hall said.

'Film doesn’t work without any different person. It's just a matter of time. Because there’s so many complaints about the hours. Their wins will be celebrated during the actual live telecast,' she added.

When asked about what kind of input she has been providing Oscar producer Will Packer, Hall joked, 'I have final say…I’m deciding who wins. I am the Academy.'

When asked what Hall and her co-host's goals are with this year's Oscar telecast, she said, 'It’s really trying to bring the show together, to keep the show moving, so that people are entertained.'

She joked, 'You want to celebrate, and roast a couple of people here and there,' though she didn't indicate who she might be roasting.

'We want to make sure it’s a really incredible night because it’s the first time the show has had hosts in a couple of years,' she added.

Judge Permanently Blocks Release Of Bob Saget Autopsy Records

A Florida judge on Monday agreed to an order that permanently blocks the release of photos, video and other records connected to the investigation of Bob Saget’s death.

The permanent injunction, granted by Circuit Judge Vincent Chiu, had been requested by the comedian’s family.

The 65-year-old actor died on Jan. 9 after suffering “blunt head trauma,” likely from a fall backward, at the Ritz-Carlton Orlando Grande Lakes in Florida, an autopsy has revealed.

Saget suffered a fracture at the base of his skull, fractures around his eye sockets, a cut to his scalp, and bleeding between the brain and tissue covering the brain, according to an autopsy report.

His death was ruled accidental and authorities have said there were no signs of foul play or drugs at the scene.

There were no signs of illicit drugs or toxins in Saget’s body, according to a toxicology report.

Saget’s widow, Kelly Rizzo, and his three daughters, had filed a lawsuit seeking to bar the release of records pertaining to the death investigation from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office and the local medical examiner’s office.

The suit was filed after some media outlets requested such records – even though Florida state prohibits their release

Drag Race star Ginger Minj joins Hocus Pocus 2 as drag version of Bette Midler

RuPaul's Drag Race star Ginger Minj has put a spell on Hocus Pocus 2. Sources close to the production confirmed to EW that the All Stars 6 finalist filmed a scene for the Disney+ sequel in Rhode Island in November 2021 that sees three queens portraying impersonations of the Sanderson Sisters at a drag show — including Ginger as Bette Midler's Winifred Sanderson. Later, the real Sanderson Sisters (Midler's Winifred, Sarah Jessica Parker as Sarah, and Kathy Najimy as Mary) show up to the performance, and spectacular things ensue.

Earlier this month, footage reportedly shot on the set included images of Ginger in full Winifred Sanderson drag. Disney had no comment on Ginger's involvement with the film.

EW also confirmed Monday through another source that Disney asked original Hocus Pocus actress Thora Birch back to reprise the role of Dani Dennison in the sequel, though the performer had to decline due to scheduling issues.

Disney+ announced last year that the new Hocus Pocus will pick up 29 years after the events of the original 1993 film, when the three central witches are again resurrected in modern-day Salem by three high school students — played by Gossip Girl's Whitney Peak, Dirt's Lilia Buckingham, and American Horror Stories' Belissa Escobedo — who attempt to halt their plot for revenge.

In addition to Midler, Parker, and Najimy, original Hocus Pocus actor Doug Jones will also return for the sequel in the role of Billy Butcherson, while Ted Lasso Emmy winner Hannah Waddingham and Veep alums Tony Hale and Sam Richardson also joined the cast in undisclosed roles.

"I am beyond thrilled to be involved in the sequel to a film that is as beloved as Hocus Pocus," director Anne Fletcher previously said in a statement about the film. "Fans around the world have embraced these characters and have made this film a Halloween tradition whose popularity continues to grow, and how lucky am I to be back at Disney with these three extraordinarily talented ladies in the iconic roles they created, as well as our fabulous new additions to the cast?"

Hocus Pocus 2 premieres this fall on Disney+.

Pfizer CEO Says A fourth COVID Vaccine Dose “Is Necessary”

While speaking with CBS, Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla said people would need a fourth dose of the vaccine to help fend off another wave of Covid-19.

Bourla said on CBS’ “Face the Nation”: “Many variants are coming, and Omicron was the first one that was able to evade — in a skillful way — the immune protection that we’re giving.” He added, “The protection we are getting from the third (dose) it is good enough — actually quite good for hospitalizations and deaths.” Despite that, he claims three doses is still “not that good against infections” and “doesn’t last very long” when faced with a variant like Omicron.

He explained, “It is necessary, a fourth (dose) for right now,” Bourla told CBS. As of right now, it’s not clear if or when the US Food and Drug Administration might authorize a fourth dose of Covid-19 vaccine for teens and adults: “We are just submitting those data to the FDA, and then we’ll see what the experts also would say outside Pfizer,” Bourla told CBS.

Currently, children ages 5 to 11 are eligible for two pediatric doses of Pfizer’s Covid-19 vaccine but are not yet eligible for a booster. Pfizer is testing a third dose in that age group now.

Colin Kaepernick “Absolutely” Ready to Return to NFL, Looking for Receivers to Train With

Colin Kaepernick is still hopeful of returning to the field.

Kaepernick, who hasn’t appeared in an NFL game since 2016, announced on Twitter Sunday that he is looking for receivers to workout with to stay in shape with hopes of returning to the game.

“For The past five years, I’ve been working out and staying ready in case an opportunity to play presented itself. I’m really grateful to my trainer, who I’ve been throwing to all this time. But man, do I miss throwing to professional route runners,” he wrote. “Who’s working?? I will pull up.”

Immediately after, The Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Tyler Lockett agreed to train with him.

“Let’s do it bro! Me and my brother will come run routes for you,” Lockett tweeted before Kaepernick responded, “Love to you and your brother! I’ll be there tomorrow. I’ll dm you to coordinate.”

The two are apparently scheduled to meet Monday, as Kaepernick posted on Instagram, “We locked in for tomorrow! @tdlockett12 Let’s get it! I’ll be live on IG tomorrow.”

Kaepernick has expressed his desire to return to professional football before.

In an October 2021 interview with Ebony, he also stated that if he is signed to a team in the NFL, he is “definitely” ready to return.

“You’re gonna have to continue to deny me and do so in a public way. And you’re gonna expose yourself by that, but it won’t be because I’m not ready or not prepared,” he told Ebony.

“But in that process, I’m also not gonna let you bury my future,” he added at the time. “I’m gonna continue to do work on the acting and producing side, continue to do the work with Know Your Rights, and make sure we are having an impact. I think that’s the beauty of us collectively — we are not one-dimensional.”

Pete Davidson Has Kim Kardashian’s Name Tattooed

Pete Davidson may have added more fuel to the fire. In his selfie pic sent to Kanye, fans pointed out some new ink…” KIM.”

It appears the SNL star may have gotten Kim Kardashian’s name tattooed on him, and Kanye West has likely spotted it. Pete revealed a new tattoo in the selfie sent Kanye in an epic feud over Kim’s parenting and North’s rights on TikTok.

The tattoo is on the left of his upper chest. Fans also suggested that Kim may have tatted the comedian herself.

Podcaster Amanda Hirsch wrote, “Omg you guys: PETE HAS A KIM TAT.” Another fan said it was giving very Kourtney and Travis, aka Kravis. “It’s all very Kravis.”

On Sunday morning, Pete sent the selfie to Kanye; when Kanye asked where he was, Davidson replied, “in bed with your wife.” He attached a selfie with the peace sign.

The text message feud started after Kanye reposted a deleted TikTok of his daughter North, 8, and mom Kim Kardashian singing to “Emo Girl.”

Davidson said, “Yo, it’s Skete. Can you please take a second and calm down. It’s 8 am, and it don’t gotta be like this. Kim is literally the best mother I’ve ever met.”

He stuck up for Kim and dropped a couple of F-bombs. Kanye didn’t like it and said, “Oh you using profanity. Where are you right now?” And that’s when Pete responded with a selfie.

Davidson also admitted that he’s been sticking up for Kanye as so many SNL comedians want to make fun of him. He also offered his help with Kanye’s mental health, saying, “Let me help you man. I struggle with mental stuff too. It’s not an easy journey.”

Dolly Parton Turns Down Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame: I Haven’t ‘Earned That Right’

Dolly Parton’s legacy can be viewed as a coat of many colors — she’s a singer, songwriter, actor, businesswoman, philanthropist and a lover of tattoos. But the country music superstar draws the line at being considered a rock star.

Parton officially announced Monday that she was withdrawing her 2022 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame nomination.

Parton posted that while she was “extremely flattered and grateful” to be nominated, but did not “feel that I earned that right” to be in the running.

“I do not want votes to be split because of me, so I must respectfully bow out,” Parton said. “I do hope that the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame will understand and be willing to consider me again — if I’m ever worthy.”

She also hinted at a new venture in her post, saying that the nomination has inspired her to “put out a hopefully great rock ‘n’ roll album at some point in the future.” She also said that her husband, Carl Dean, was a rock music “freak” that always encouraged her to make a rock album.

Although she withdrew her nomination, she wished good luck to the other nominees.

The Tennessee native made the short list of 2022 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame nominees in February alongside other musicians including Devo, Duran Duran and Rage Against the Machine. Other 2022 nominees include Eminem, Lionel Richie and Dione Warwick, whose music would not be considered “rock” by traditional standards. But it seems that music fans may interpret the concept of “rock” less like Parton and more like Dave Grohl — who believes rock is more of an attitude than sound — because according to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s official fan vote ballot, Parton currently resides in fourth place among the nominees to be inducted with nearly 300,00 votes.

Ice Cube — who was inducted into the hall of fame along with his fellow N.W.A members Dr. Dre, MC Ren, DJ Yella and the late Eazy-E in 2016 — argued rock and roll is a versatile genre during his induction speech.

“Now, the question is, ’Are we rock and roll? And I say, ‘You goddamn right we rock and roll,’” Ice Cube said. “Rock and roll is not an instrument, rock and roll is not even a style of music. Rock and roll is a spirit. It’s a spirit. It’s been going since the blues, jazz, bebop, soul, R&B, rock and roll, heavy metal, punk rock and yes, hip-hop. And what connects us all is that spirit. … Rock and roll is not conforming to the people who came before you, but creating your own path in music and in life.”

This is also not the first time Parton has humbly turned down an attempt to honor her legacy. In 2021, when Tennessee state Rep. John Mark Windle (D) introduced a bill that called for a statue honoring Parton to be erected in Nashville. Parton quickly rebuffed the idea, saying it was “inappropriate.”

D.C. Police: Man Accused Of Shooting Homeless People Arrested

Authorities in Washington D.C. announced they’d arrested a man wanted for a string of five shootings of homeless people in New York and D.C., Tuesday morning.

Homicide detectives were interviewing the man though further information about his identity or how he was found, were not available immediately. Officials are expected to provide more details later Tuesday morning.

The man was believed to have shot five homeless people between March 3rd and March 12th in both cities. All of the shootings happened before dawn as the victims were trying to sleep. Two victims, one in New York and one in D.C., died from their wounds.

On Monday night, authorities in D.C. and New York City released an image of the suspect and offered a $70,000 award for tips leading to his apprehension.

This is a developing story and will be updated as information becomes available.
