Rita Ora for Vogue Australia - October 2021!

Rita Ora has insisted the "next phase" of her life is about "protecting herself".

The 30-year-old singer and actress has admitted she was "burning the candles at both ends" and is very much a "yes" person, but is now making her health a priority.

The 'Anywhere' singer told the October issue of Vogue Australia magazine - of which she is the cover star - that: “I wanted things to happen then and now.

“I’ve realized that’s not how life works."

She continued: "I exhausted myself.

"This next phase of my life, I’m protecting myself.

“It’s all really about making the right choices and focusing really hard on my work and my health.”

The 'Fifty Shades Freed' star also admitted she has made "a lot of sacrifices" for her career in music, but it has rewarded her in many ways.

She explained: “This is one of the best jobs in the world. It’s unbelievable, the appreciation you get from making music, it’s incomparable to anything I’ve ever experienced. But at the same time, you have a lot of sacrifices, a lot of time on your own.

“Music has been that fulfilment for me in those moments.”

Rita - who is dating 46-year-old filmmaker Taika Waititi - insisted music has been there for her through “friendships, relationships, self-worth, self-discovering, confidence, independence, sorrow, loneliness”.

She added: “You’ve got something there that protects you, that gives you that shield of confidence, or that shield of sympathy, or whatever mood you need.

“It’s the only thing I rely on to bring me joy.

“It’s probably the one, [the] only thing I know I can rely on.”

The October issue of Vogue Australia is on sale on September 27.

It’s going down in the ATL! After reports that Real Housewives of Atlanta stars Cynthia Bailey is out for season 14, reports are surfacing Olympian Sanya Richards-Ross is being eyed as a potential castmate.

The track star is already gearing up to begin filming with the ladies, reported Radar. If all goes well, and the audience takes to her, producers will crown her as a full-time cast member.

Richards-Ross is a phenom on the track, primarily in the 400-meter sprint. She was the 2012 Olympic champion, 2009 world champion, 2008 Olympic bronze medalist, and 2005 world silver medalist in the sport.

Following a career-ending injury in 2016, the 36-year-old former athlete retired and joined NBC as a track and field analyst. She published her memoir, Chasing Grace: What the Quarter Mile has Taught Me about God and Life, a year later.

Richards-Ross isn’t the only new face the series will see, reporter Anthony Dominic spilled Bravo has allegedly decided to bring back original cast member ShereΓ© Whitfield — who left after the fourth season.

Dominic noted “Porsha is NOT returning,” while also revealing that Kandi Burruss and Kenya Moore will be holding peaches when filming begins. Also back for the upcoming season will be Drew Sidora and fan favorite "friend of" Marlo Hampton.

Williams is reportedly receiving her own spin-off series that will center around her family and presumably life with new fiancΓ© Simon Guobadia — ex-hubby of her former RHOA co-star Falynn Guobadia.

Jeezy And Jeannie Mai Expecting Baby!

Jeezy and Jeannie Mai have a baby on the way. “The Real” co-host has announced she and her husband are expecting their first child together.

“Jeezy and I have been kind of saving this and hiding this for five months,” Mai told Women’s Health. “So, we’re relieved to finally share the news.”

It hasn’t been an easy journey for the couple, who struggled to conceive and opted for in-vitro fertilization. “It was not easy,” she said of the process. “We both needed a bit of assistance, especially with me being 41 at the time.”

A month before the couple’s March 2021 wedding, Mai discovered she was pregnant. Soon after, she suffered a miscarriage. “I wondered if I was being punished. I wondered if I’d jinxed myself or cursed myself,” she said. “My entire life, I never wanted children. When I say never, I’m talking a hard-stop never.”

But she eventually had a change of heart. “Falling in love with Jeezy made me see life differently for myself. Our love is honest, pure, and safe…something I hadn’t felt as a child,” she added.

A week after their wedding, Mai discovered she was pregnant again. “It was the most beautiful sign that anything’s possible, that you’re not in control, and God has a plan,” she recalled.

The couple is excited to welcome Baby Jenkins and is sharing in every moment of the pregnancy. According to Mai, Jeezy even claims to experience sympathy pregnancy symptoms including cravings and nausea, but she’s not buying it.

During Monday’s season premiere of “The Real,” the mom-to-be showed off her baby bump while sharing the “surreal” news with her co-hosts. “I always said I’d never be a mom,” said an emotional Mai. “But I do know that you never say never and that love can really change you.”

This is the first child for Mai and the fourth for Jeezy, who has three children from previous relationships–Jadarius, Shyheim, and Amra.

A profile that purports to be Page, who divorced Emma Portner in January, has been spotted on the ultra-exclusive dating app Raya.

The profile includes pictures of Page with his dog and a shot of him posing in a sweatshirt that reads “protect trans kids.” The song “Don’t Let It Bring You Down” by Annie Lennox and Steven Lipson accompanies the profile.

The invite-only site is known for its celebrity users. Ben Affleck, Matthew Perry, Channing Tatum, Lizzo, John Mayer, Drew Barrymore and Chelsea Handler have all been on the app at some point.

And he said, “I can’t begin to express how remarkable it feels to finally love who I am enough to pursue my authentic self.” He went on, “I love that I am trans. And I love that I am queer. And the more I hold myself close and fully embrace who I am, the more I dream, the more my heart grows and the more I thrive.”

Page also pledged to help others. “To all trans people who deal with harassment, self-loathing, abuse and the threat of violence every day: I see you, I love you and I will do everything I can to change this world for the better,” he said.

Following the announcement, Portner wrote “Trans, queer and nonbinary people are a gift to this world. Elliot’s existence is a gift in and of itself. Shine on sweet E.”

The couple’s split appears amicable. They had been married for three years. “After much thought and careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to divorce following our separation last summer,” they said in a statement. “We have the utmost respect for each other and remain close friends.”

Reps for Page did not respond to our request for comment.

'Dancing With the Stars' premiere: A controversial contestant and a historic partnership

The 30th season of Dancing With the Stars kicked off Monday and many viewers were not super excited to see new contestant Olivia Jade Giannulli, who goes by Olivia Jade, on the show. Her parents, Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli, both served time in prison for the college admissions scandal that broke in March 2019. Which is something Olivia Jade addressed during her introductory video package.

“I'm probably best known for being an influencer,” she said. “But the last few years I've been, I guess you could say, wrapped up in a scandal.”

Paired with fan-favorite pro Val Chmerkovskiy, the 21-year-old Olivia Jade danced a salsa for her first performance, finishing with a total of 25 points out of a possible 40. But viewers on Twitter were not impressed, calling her a criminal and saying they will refuse to watch the show until she is voted off.

But not every performance had viewers feeling so jaded, and that’s because former Dance Moms star and current YouTube personality Jojo Siwa made history on Monday along with her pro partner, Jenna Johnson.

“For the first time in Dancing With the Stars history, I am dancing with another female. And I'm really, really proud,” Siwa said. “I came out in early 2021, and what I love to do is make truly being who you are easier for kids.”

And the groundbreaking moment was felt by viewers who took Twitter with praise and celebration for the moment.

Siwa and her partner finished the night with 29 points, the most points scored out of the 15 contestants who performed.

Dancing With the Stars airs Mondays at 8 p.m. on ABC.

Britney Spears Posts Pics From Weekend Getaway To Celebrate Engagement!

Britney Spears told her fans when she deleted her Instagram account that she would soon return. And just six days later, she has done just that.

"Some shots from my weekend getaway to celebrate my engagement with my ... holy shit ... FIANCÉ ... I still can't believe it !!!!" Spears captioned two close-up photos of herself standing in a green area, which look similar to many others that she has posted. "I couldn't stay away from the gram too long so I'm back already."

The lens did not capture Spears's soon-to-be groom.

While more than 453,750 people had liked the post within two hours of it being shared, some pointed out that the photos did not appear to be new. They asked Spears to share new photos — possibly even with today's newspaper — and they asked why her hair was completely blond rather than partially red, like it had been in images shared earlier in the month. They said things like, "Ok but where's the red hair?" and "But britney you have shorter red hair now so how could these be from your engagement getaway?" One fan asked, "Can you upload more pictures? we're quite concerned britney."

Spears then posted a second time, a video that shows her dancing that she said was from July.

It was just a week ago that the "Womanizer" singer announced her plan to walk down the aisle with her love of almost five years. Spears and Asghari met when he co-starred in her 2016 video for "Slumber Party." Two days later, she disabled her account on the photo- sharing site, which she later clarified was meant as a way to celebrate her engagement.

Fans are especially protective of the singer as she fights to emerge from the complicated legal conservatorship that she has been under since 2008. There was a development on that front earlier this month, when the star's father, Jamie Spears, who has, much to her objection, overseen the legal arrangement, officially petitioned the court to end it.

The judge in the case would need to sign off on the petition in order for it to go into effect. Before the elder Spears's filing, the next hearing on the conservatorship had been scheduled for Sept. 29.

During a sit-down on “The Real,” 24-year-old Lori Harvey discussed multiple topics, including her recent chat with Saweetie, business ventures and more. She also gave some insight into her relationship with actor Michael B. Jordan, 34.

“We just really balance each other,” Harvey said. “I really do believe in the statement when they say, ‘When you know you know.’ And I think that really applies to our situation and we just have a really good time together.”

When it comes to what she feels is the sweetest quality about Jordan, she says he is “really good at all the big things– Valentine’s Day, birthdays, all that, but it’s the little things, the everyday things that I think really is what makes him special, like he just listens to me when I talk,” Harvey said. “Even the other day, I’d just been saying I really just wanted to go to a farmer’s market, so he called me one Sunday morning and was like, ‘What are you doing, I’m going to come pick you up’ and he took me an hour away to this really cute farmer’s market and we had the best day. So, it’s things like that.”

George Holliday, Who Filmed Rodney King Video, Dies Of COVID-19!

LOS ANGELES (AP) — George Holliday, the Los Angeles plumber who shot grainy video of four white police officers beating Black motorist Rodney King in 1991, has died of complications of COVID-19, a friend said Monday.

Holliday, 61, died Sunday at a Los Angeles hospital, where he had been for more than a month, according to Robert Wollenweber, a longtime friend and former coworker. Holliday was not vaccinated and was on a ventilator in recent days after contracting pneumonia, Wollenweber said.

Holliday was awakened by a traffic stop outside his San Fernando Valley home on the night of March 3, 1991. He went outside to film it with his new video camera, catching the Los Angeles officers punching, kicking and using a stun gun on King, even after he was on the ground.

A year later, Holliday’s out-of-focus footage — about 9 minutes worth — was a key piece of evidence at the four officers’ criminal trial for assault and excessive use of force.

When a jury acquitted all the officers on April 29, 1992, the city erupted in widespread violence. Hundreds of businesses were looted and destroyed over several days. Entire blocks of homes and stores went up in flames. More than 60 people died by shootings or other violence, mostly in South Los Angeles.

The uprising seemed to catch the rest of the nation by surprise, but longtime residents said tensions were building in South LA for years and the King verdict was just the tipping point.

On the third day of the riots, King went on TV to plead for calm, asking in a trembling voice, “Can we all get along?”

King sued Los Angeles over the beating and was awarded $3.8 million in 1994, but he told The Associated Press in 2012 that he lost most of that money to bad investments. King drowned in his backyard swimming pool on June 17, 2012, at age 47.

Holliday’s death was first reported by TMZ.com.

Holliday put the Sony camcorder he used to record the beating up for auction last July, with bidding starting at $225,000. It was unclear if it ever sold.

Holliday told the New York Times last year that he was still working as a plumber and never profited from the video.

He said he had purchased the camera about a month earlier and he grabbed it instinctively when he was awakened by noise outside his window.

“You know how it is when you have a new piece of technology,” he told the Times. “You film anything and everything.”

Holliday said in 2017 that he was working on a documentary about his role in the King case, but it was unclear if anything became of that project.
