Jane Fonda Honors Vogue Poland 62 Years After She First Covered Vogue!
Jane Fonda remains the ultimate iconic cover girl. The film and television star, who turns 84 later this year, appears on the October issue of Vogue Polska's Courage issue.
Fonda graced the cover of the Polish version of the famed fashion magazine in a stylish all-black ensemble, complete with a wide-brimmed hat and artful belt.
Inside the issue's pages, the octogenarian cover girl added a stunning gold metallic trench coat to her ensemble. The two-time Oscar winner said she was "excited" to share the image to her Instagram, crediting stylist Mary Inacio, hairstylist Jonathan Hanousek and makeup artist David De Leon for her look.
The image comes over six decades after Fonda's first appearance on the cover of Vogue, when she was snapped by photographer Irving Penn for 1959's July edition.
Fonda remains at the forefront of the conversation when it comes to style, as well as climate change and activism.
She recently published a book titled What Can I Do? The Path From Climate Despair to Action, which according to her Instagram has been selected by Kaia Gerber for the model's September book club pick.
In addition to that, the Monster In Law star can currently be seen on Netflix in the seventh season of her acclaimed Netflix comedy Grace and Frankie, opposite Lily Tomlin.
Dr. Dre, Eminem, Snoop And More Lead Star-Studded 2022 Super Bowl Halftime Show!
The Pepsi Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show will have no shortage of star power. Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige and Kendrick Lamar have officially been announced as performers. The Super Bowl will take place at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Calif. on Sunday, Feb. 13.
"I'm extremely excited to share the stage with my friends," Dr. Dre wrote after the lineup was announced on Thursday. "This will introduce the next saga of my career… Bigger and Better than Ever!!!"
It will be Dr. Dre's first big performance since suffering a brain aneurysm earlier this year.
Eminem also shared the news on social media, writing, "Dre day in February... I'm there!"
Snoop told Yahoo Entertainment it was his dream to perform with Dr. Dre at the Super Bowl in L.A., essentially predicting the eventual lineup.
"I ain't never played the Super Bowl. I'm waiting for 2022, when they bring it to L.A.," he said in January 2020. "I think it should be Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre. Y'all heard it, CBS? Get it together. Get y'all money together. Y'all got a couple of years to get it together. Hello!"
"Artists like Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg were at the forefront of the West Coast hip-hop revolution, so to be able to bring them back to L.A., where it all began alongside Eminem, Mary J. Blige and Kendrick Lamar will prove to be an epic, unforgettable celebration of the impact hip-hop has today," Todd Kaplan, Pepsi's VP of Marketing, said in a statement. "The Pepsi Super Bowl Halftime Show has become a landmark cultural moment, bringing about some of the most iconic performances over the years — from J. Lo and Shakira to Lady Gaga to The Weeknd — and we are thrilled to bring together such an incredible array of talented, record-breaking musicians to put on a performance for the ages."
Jay-Z’s entertainment company Roc Nation signed an extensive partnership with the NFL in 2019 as its "live music entertainment strategist." The move came months after Maroon 5's controversial Super Bowl halftime performance.
Maroon 5 faced backlash from the music industry for participating in the event after the league's treatment of Colin Kaepernick. The pop group was slammed for being chosen as the headliner when many felt the halftime show should have showcased Atlanta's music scene, where the Super Bowl was being held.
Last year saw The Weeknd perform in Tampa Bay while Jennifer Lopez and Shakira headlined the 2020 Super Bowl in Miami.
#RHOA: BREAKING! Porsha Williams Is Leaving The Atlanta Housewives After 10 Years!
Another peach is saying goodbye. Just three days after Cynthia Bailey announced she won't be returning to The Real Housewives of Atlanta after 11 seasons, longtime co-star Porsha Williams also just announced today she's departing the hit Bravo TV series after a decade ahead of season 14.
"After ten life-changing, gratifying, incredible years, it is finally time to begin my next chapter. Next season, I will not be returning to the Real Housewives of Atlanta franchise," Porsha shared via an Instagram statement on Thursday, Sept. 30. "This was a difficult decision to not only make, but also come to terms with. It's one I have put a lot of thought into and because of that, I know it's the right one.
"I want to thank Bravo, Truly Original, and Andy Cohen for this opportunity, and all the show's producers, editors, and assistants, for working tirelessly every day to create our show."
The Bravolebrity continued, "I have so much love and endless gratitude for my Bravo family and supporters. You've made the past decade a truly special one. One where I've dealt with unbelievable highs and unbelievable lows, and I can honestly say I would not have made it through some of them without the unconditional love and support I have gotten from all of you."
She concluded, "Don't worry though, I'll be back on your TV very soon. I can't wait to share all of my exciting new endeavors with the world-beginning with the release of my memoir, The Pursuit of Porsha, out on November 16. As for the rest, you'll just have to wait and see! Love ya!"
Andy Cohen took to the comments to react, "What a run. What an evolution. As we discussed, I'm gonna go ahead and consider this more of a PAUSE than a goodbye."
Co-star Kandi Burruss added in surprise, "I was hoping you weren't 4real leaving. Wishing you the best on all you've got going on!
The fate of her former co-stars Kandi, Kenya Moore and Marlo Hampton have not been revealed ahead of season 14

#HipHopNews: Fat Joe Claims 'Everybody' Is Too Scared To Do Busta Rhymes Verzuz - Including Himself!
Busta Rhymes’ frenetic energy was palpable from the first syllable he uttered on the 1991 A Tribe Called Quest classic “Scenario.” A “powerful impact, boom, from the cannon” reached far and wide as Bus-A-Bus momentarily stole the show from Q-Tip and Phife Dawg.
Apparently, Fat Joe is acutely aware of just how much Busta brings to the table. In a recent Instagram Live session, Joey Crack boldly proclaimed people were too intimidated by Busta Rhymes’ talent to step into the Verzuz arena with him — and that included him.
“Fat Joe scared to do Verzuz with Busta Rhymes and so is everybody else,” he said. “You gotta understand, sometimes you ever notice — you seen boxers and they knock everybody out? People be scared to fight those boxers.
“Busta Rhymes is gonna outrap, outperform anybody who goes up in a Verzuz with him. That’s a fact. Yo, Busta Rhymes nobody wanna get in there with you, man. You might have to be an honorary — they gotta give you the check for no reason.”
Verzuz has been a nearly constant presence since emerging in March 2020 as a way to combat the quarantine blues. Founded by Swizz Beatz and Timbaland, the platform has bloomed from just an “Instagram Live show” to full-on events at places like Madison Square Garden’s Hulu Theater.
Fat Joe and Ja Rule hopped in the ring earlier this month and put on quite a live show for New York rap fans as well as those who tuned in online. But those thirsting for Ja Rule’s longtime foe 50 Cent to show up were out of luck. Rumors the Get Rich or Die Tryin’ legend would make an appearance were unsubstantiated and the show went on without him.
Ja Rule challenged 50 Cent to a Verzuz in December 2020 but was quickly shut down — although not because of fear, at least according to Fat Joe. In another episode of The Fat Joe Show, he explained, “We gave [50 Cent] the option. He did not want to go against me … He not doing the Verzuz. You keep askin’ me some shit I can’t help you with. And so, he don’t wanna do it.
“It’s not cause he scared or he’s not one of the greatest who ever lived, he just ain’t fucking with that. I tell you what — 50 Cent gon’ be a billionaire, a real billionaire. You gotta understand, 50 Cent got a bunch of TV shows. TV. That’s not rap music. That’s a different type of money.”
But fear supposedly has everything to do with Busta Rhymes not being booked for a Verzuz yet. Only time will tell who’s willing to face the inimitable Bus-A-Bus.
Cynthia Bailey teases what’s next for her after leaving ‘RHOA’!
Cynthia Bailey feels “the sky’s the limit” for her next projects after leaving “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.”
The outgoing “Housewife,” 54, teased what’s to come in her career while chatting with photographers Tuesday at Los Angeles International Airport.
“Everything! The sky’s the limit,” she said in Page Six’s exclusive video. “Acting, producing, directing. I have a million projects with my husband [Mike Hill].”
Bailey also spoke about exiting “RHOA” after 11 seasons, saying she has other goals she’d like to accomplish outside of the Bravo favorite.
“It feels good. All good things must come to an end,” she shared. “I’ve had a great relationship with Bravo and NBC over the years, so it’s kind of weird to not be going back, but at the same time, I’m excited for my next chapter.”
The reality star was spotted rocking a side ponytail and wearing a CB VIOR sweatsuit with the word “Peace” on the side as well as a Louis Vuitton fanny pack while standing near a black SUV.
When not chatting away on her phone, she was seen wearing a black face mask.
Bailey revealed that she was in town to promote Peacock’s upcoming series “The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip,” which she filmed earlier this year in Turks and Caicos with “Housewives” Luann de Lesseps, Teresa Giudice, Melissa Gorga, Kenya Moore, Kyle Richards and Ramona Singer.
“I love reality TV,” the model raved. “This has been an amazing, amazing trip that I am on.”
While Bailey was only in LA for work, she said she plans to spend more time there now that she has stepped away from “RHOA” with her former co-stars’ support.
“I’m still processing. Everything is still marinating,” she said. “It’s been 11 years. There’s so many other things I want to do.”
When not on the phone or chatting with paps, Bailey kept her face mask on.
The runway pro seemed happy with her decision to leave the show, but she noted that she could return for a later season if she ever regrets it — as other “Housewives” have done in the past.
“I have a great relationship with the network,” she added. “They’ve given me 11 incredible years.
NBA to withhold pay of unvaccinated players who miss games!
The league announced several new COVID-19 protocols.
The NBA announced that it will withhold pay for players who miss games this season due to their vaccination status. On Wednesday (Sept. 29), the league revealed the news. “Any player who elects not to comply with local vaccination mandates will not be paid for games that he misses,” NBA spokesman Mike Bass said in a statement.
Not paying unvaccinated players for missed games is one of many COVID-19 protocols the league announced. Players who have not received the vaccine will not be allowed to eat with their inoculated teammates and their lockers will be located in a different area from the others.
LeBron James reveals he got vaccinated because it was “best suited” for his family and friends
Unvaccinated players will also be required to wear a mask, receive frequent COVID-19 tests and will have to remain in their place of residence during home games and stay in the hotel during away games.
The protocols did not, however, include a vaccine mandate. The league reportedly tried to enforce one, but it was blocked by the National Basketball Players Association, which said the policy is a “non-starter.” Vaccinated players will be required to submit weekly COVID-19 testing as well.
About 90 percent of the league is fully vaccinated, including LeBron James, who revealed his vaccination status to reporters earlier this week. “I think everyone has their own choice to do what they feel is right for themselves and their family,” the Los Angeles Lakers star said. “After doing my research and things of that nature, I felt like it was best suited for not only me, but for my family and my friends, and that’s why I decided to do it.”
LeBron then stated that he didn't feel it was his job to encourage other players to get the vaccine. “We’re talkin’ about individuals’ bodies,” he said. “We’re not talkin’ about something that’s political, or racism, or police brutality...”
Lil Nas X Reveals He Is Single Again!
Lil Nas X is no longer in a relationship. The 22-year-old Montero superstar confirmed his relationship status in an interview with Andy Cohen on SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live.
During the conversation, Lil Nas X spoke about his dating life.
“It sounds like from what I’m reading, that you have found somebody, are you, are you happy? Is there anything you can tell me about it?” Andy asked.
“Where did you read that?” Lil Nas X responded.
“I heard you have a boyfriend. I heard you’re seeing somebody,” Andy said.
“I was seeing someone. Um, I kind of decided I didn’t want to anymore,” Lil Nas X said.
“All right. Okay. Well, I have to, I have to, uh, assume that there are thousands of people applying for the job of a Lil Nas X’s boyfriend,” Andy then said.
“There are definitely a couple of people for sure. A couple of people out there…I don’t want to ruin anybody’s, uh, perception of ["That's What I Want"], but I don’t think I want any guy right now. Maybe I’m floating around right now. I just want to work on music and every now and then, you know, maybe I’ll kiss a guy, every blue moon, you know.”
Singer Sparkle Speaks on How She Warned About R. Kelly 20 Years Ago!
R. Kelly’s former protege, singer Sparkle, has broken her silence on the guilty verdict in the singer’s sex trafficking trial, which began in August.
Guilty is the verdict Sparkle has longed to hear for the past 20 years, after decades of working to convince the world Kelly abused her teenage niece. Sparkle tells The Cut magazine she’s still haunted by the fact that she introduced her then-12-year-old niece to Kelly in 1997, in hopes of launching her aspiring music career.
“I didn’t think I would be emotional. But I am. It’s just been a long time for me, dealing with this,” she said. “On the one hand, I think I’m a little sad because Robert was my ex-mentor and what he did was just a punch to my chest. And I’m also relieved. Thank God they got it right this time. At the first trial, nobody believed me.”
Sparkle says she became suspicious of R. Kelly’s involvement with her teenage niece in 2001. Those suspicions were heightened after a now-infamous video, which shows Kelly intimately engaging with the girl, on whom he also urinates.
“I was one of the first to call out what I saw on a 27-minute tape as a violation. I mean, nobody was believing me,” Sparkle said. “I used to feel like, Am I crazy? Am I the only person seeing this? I wanted to shake the shit out of everybody. When the Dave Chappelle – “Piss on You” skit came out in 2003, it was a gut punch. I felt like that emoji with the top blown off my head.”
Here’s a screenshot from the viral mock music video titled “Piss On You,” which starred Dave Chappelle as R. Kelly performing a song about the real R. Kelly’s legal troubles over allegedly urinating on an underage girl.
After several witnesses identified Kelly and the girl in the video, Sparkle testified at the singer’s 2008 trial, during which he was acquitted of 14 child pornography charges. She shared her story again in the 2019 Lifetime documentary “Surviving R. Kelly.”
“I’m happy I did it because otherwise, maybe we wouldn’t be here with this verdict. After the doc aired, more girls got the guts to come forward,” Sparkle said. “Of course, people were posting stuff on my social media saying, ‘You’re a liar. You’re a clout chaser.’ But for the first time, I got nonstop DMs and emails from women saying things like, “Oh, I wish you were my auntie. I wish you were there to speak out for me when this or that happened.’ ”
The 46-year-old admits her niece’s parents refused to testify at Kelly’s trial and stopped speaking to her for nearly a decade. The accusations also took a blow to Sparkle’s music career since she stopped releasing music after her 1998 self-titled gold debut album and the 2000 release of “Told You So.”
“It feels good to have more support,” added Sparkle, who recently released “Open Letter” from her forthcoming EP, “Obstacle Course,” dropping in November. “I’ve stifled myself for a long time when it comes to releasing music, and writing it was a huge release.”
Sparkles hopes that she won’t have to testify during Kelly’s trial in Chicago, where he also faces charges of child pornography.
“I’m praying I’m not called to testify at another trial because I’ve already said my truth. But if I am, I will surely be there to share it all over again,” she said. “I do have more to say, and more insights into what happened. I lost it all, but I’ve made gains as well.”
Britney Spears's dad, Jamie Spears, suspended as conservator after 13 years!
Britney Spears is one step closer to freedom. In a pivotal, dramatic hearing on Wednesday, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Brenda Penny suspended Jamie Spears as conservator of the singer's estate. The decision comes months after the pop star publicly accused her father of abuse.
"I do believe that the suspension of James Spears as conservator … is in the best interest of the conservatee," Penny said. "This order shall be made in full force and effect."
Certified public accountant John Zabel will temporarily replace Jamie. Britney's conservator of the person, Jodi Montgomery, remains. The judge ordered Jamie to turn over all assets to Zabel as soon as possible. Britney's lawyer, Mathew Rosengart, said he wants the conservatorship terminated this fall. That could potentially happen on Nov. 12, when Judge Penny will consider a request to end it altogether.
"It's been a lot of hard work, it's been intense. I'm proud, Britney's proud," Rosengart told reporters after court, per CNN. "I think the support of the #FreeBritney movement has been instrumental. To the extent that it allowed my firm to carry the ball across the finish line, I thank them as well."
Britney, who did not attend the hearing, posted an interesting message on Wednesday evening.
The singer's fiancé, Sam Asghari, wrote, "Congratulations!!!!!!!!!"
At the hearing, Rosengart claimed Jamie has abused Britney since childhood and repeated allegations that he illicitly recorded Britney in private moments with her sons and then boyfriend, something the attorney characterized as "unfathomable." He demanded for Jamie's immediate suspension rather than for termination of the conservatorship, laying out multiple factors why such a move is in Britney's best interest.
Meanwhile, Jamie's lawyers petitioned for the conservatorship to end today. Although Britney wants such an outcome eventually, immediate termination would mean her father could be absolved of potential crimes because communication he has had with attorneys about the conservatorship for the last 13 years would remain privileged. The elder Spears would be off the hook for more $1 million as he wouldn't have to turn over records to the court.
The fan-led #FreeBritney movement was spawned years ago, with supporters crying out that the singer was being held in the conservatorship against her will. Britney confirmed that in June with her explosive testimony in open court, begging the judge to terminate it without being medically evaluated.
"My dad and anyone involved in this conservatorship, including my management … they should be in jail," Britney declared, comparing her father to a sex-trafficker. The singer claimed she was forced to be on birth control despite wanting kids with Asghari. She alleged doctors put her on Lithium against her wishes and that she was forced into a mental health facility — and those were just a few of her shocking statements.
Fallout within the conservatorship was swift after Britney's stunning 24-minute testimony. Samuel Ingham, her court appointed lawyer since 2008, filed paperwork asking to be dismissed. Larry Rudolph, the singer's longtime manager, resigned. Wealth-management group Bessemer Trust, which was set to take over as co-conservator of her estate alongside Jamie, resigned. However, Jamie remained.
Family law attorney Christopher C. Melcher of Walzer Melcher explained to Yahoo Entertainment why Jamie wanting to terminate the conservatorship was likely in his best interest.
"Jamie wants the conservatorship to terminate so that all of the communications that he's had with the attorneys for the conservatorship would remain privileged," Melcher suggested.
"Basically everything Jamie has done since the conservatorship was put in place in 2008 was done in a representative capacity. That includes hiring the lawyers — and communicating with lawyers. In a normal attorney-client relationship, it's the individual client talking to the lawyer and all of the communications are privileged forever," he continued. "But here, Jamie is acting on behalf of the conservatorship when he hired these lawyers and acting on behalf of the conservatorship when he spoke to them. Therefore, if he is replaced and a new person is installed as a temporary conservator, that person then holds this privilege and would have the right to demand — and would get — all of the files for the last 13 years between Jamie and the attorneys that Jamie probably thought would never see the light of day. And those attorneys probably thought would always be kept secret but now could be revealed."
Melcher added it's "potentially a gold mine of evidence."
A second hearing is scheduled for Dec. 13, when the judge will address financial matters.
Ozy Media CEO Carlos Watson Steps Down as Host of News and Doc Emmys!
According to the report, the co-founder of Watson’s company impersonated a YouTube executive during a funding call with a Goldman Sachs banker.
Here’s more from the report:
When YouTube learned that someone had apparently impersonated one of their executives at a business meeting, its security team started an investigation. The inquiry didn’t get far before a name emerged: Within days, Mr. Watson had apologized profusely to Goldman Sachs, saying the voice on the call belonged to Samir Rao, the co-founder and chief operating officer of Ozy, according to the four people.
The incident has prompted a review of Ozy’s leadership.
“OZY asked Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP to review the company’s business activities in response to reports of behavior that did not meet our standards and values,” the company said in a board statement. I “We also asked Chief Operating Officer Samir Lao to take a leave of absence until the results of the investigation are available. Over the next few months, we will continue to review the company’s leadership and former Executive President and Chief Financial Officer of Hearst Television. We are pleased that Harry Hawks has agreed to serve as Interim CFO throughout this transition and review period. “
A representative for the 42nd News & Documentary Emmy Awards said of Watson’s exit as host: “Carlos Watson has graciously reached out to us and asked to be removed from his hosting duties tomorrow night so as not to distract the focus from the talented nominees in the documentary categories of the 42nd News & Documentary Emmy Awards,” a rep told TheWrap. “As such, we are moving forward with our three presenters who will be sharing the hosting duties throughout the evening.”
The three presenters who will share the duties are documentarians June Cross, CJ Hunt and Sonja Sohn.
On Monday, Watson told TheWrap that the Times piece is “a bulls— ad hominem attack,” and he defended Rao.
Isaiah Washington Implies Ellen Pompeo Was Allegedly ‘Uncomfortable’ With Him Potentially Being Her ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Love Interest!
Isaiah Washington Implies Ellen Pompeo Was Allegedly ‘Uncomfortable’ With Him Potentially Being Her ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Love Interest
Former “Grey’s Anatomy” star Isaiah Washington made a few interesting revelations in the book “How to Save a Life: The Inside Story of Grey’s Anatomy,” by Lynette Rice.
Washington reveals he initially auditioned for McDreamy but was given to Patrick Dempsey, and he believed he did not get the role because Ellen Pompeo was uncomfortable with him playing her intimate love interest.
“I didn’t audition for Burke, I auditioned for McDreamy,” Washington said according to Yahoo!.
Pompeo apparently didn’t want him to Derek Shepherd.
“There’s a rumour out there or something that Ellen didn’t want me to be her love interest because she had a Black boyfriend,” Washington added. “The context is that she’s not into white men.”=
“I guess she implied that her boyfriend may have had a problem with her doing love scenes with me, so she felt uncomfortable,” adding that he “supported” her feelings.
In 2013, Pompeo spoke to the New York Post and opened up about who would be cast as McDreamy and how Shonda Rhimes wanted “a Black man in the mix” but Ellen “didn’t think they were really going to put an interracial couple on the show.”
“And I didn’t want him. It was too close to home. I said I wanted that Dempsey kid,” said Ellen of Isaiah.
Blink-182’s Mark Hoppus is cancer-free!
Mark Hoppus just received some life-changing good news nearly three months after announcing he was battling cancer.
“Just saw my oncologist and I’m cancer free!!” the Blink-182 rocker wrote in an Instagram post on Wednesday. “Thank you God and universe and friends and family and everyone who sent support and kindness and love.”
Although Hoppus, 49, no longer has stage 4 lymphoma, he is not completely out of the woods.
“Still have to get scanned every six months and it’ll take me until the end of the year to get back to normal,” the “What’s My Age Again?” singer shared, adding, “but today is an amazing day and I feel so blessed.”
He then joked, “Can I get a W in the chat?”
Friends and fans immediately poured in with comments of support and praise.
“F–k yes!!!!” DJ Samantha Ronson commented. “I don’t even know you and this made MY day!!! Awesome!!!”
Ryan Tedder wrote, “WWWWWWWWWW,” signifying a major win for the musician.
Hoppus has been sharing updates about his cancer journey on social media over the past couple of months.
After first revealing his diagnosis, he shared in July that the “chemo is working!”
He said at the time he felt “grateful,” “confused” and “also sick” from the chemotherapy.
In Hoppus’ Instagram post on Wednesday, he said it will take until the end of the year to get back to “normal.”
Twitter
“But the poison the doctors pump into me and the kind thoughts and wishes of the people around me are destroying this cancer,” the “First Date” singer added. “Just gonna keep fighting…”
Just last week, Hoppus posted a photo of his head that showed his hair is growing back — but it appears to be white.
“I mean what the s–t is this? Is my hair growing back white?” he asked, before joking, “If it does I wonder if I’ll look more like George Clooney or Doc Brown? I feel like this is still the cancery peach fuzz hair and maybe my normal hair will start growing again?”
Hoppus then shared that although the hair on his head was growing, the hair on his legs continued to fall off.
“I’ve been in chemotherapy for five months and TODAY the hair on my shins decides it’s time to peace out?” he concluded. “Cancer is weird.”
Jay-Z Pushing To Free Fan Serving 20-Years In Prison For Marijuana!
Jay-Z and his Roc Nation legal team are working towards freeing a Black man who was unfairly sentenced to 20-years in prison for a weed charge.
In August, Hov’s attorney, Alex Spiro, filed a motion in a North Carolina court requesting the “compassionate release” of inmate Valon Vailes. In 2007, the man received 20 years in federal prison and ten years of supervised release after being found guilty of conspiring to possess with the intent to distribute more than one ton of marijuana between 2003 and 2007. This week, Spiro filed a second request for the man’s release.
Vailes was placed on Jay’s radar after penning a letter to the music mogul earlier this year, where he praised the “4:44” rapper for his prison reform efforts. He took the opportunity to ask for help after being incarcerated for 13 and a half years at that point for a substance that he says has become a “green rush.” Touched by his fan’s story, Jay gathered up his legal team and employees of his marijuana company to push for the man’s freedom.
The COVID-19 exceptions were not cited in Spiro’s most recent motion as justifications for the release. Instead, he explained that Vailes was not a danger to society and that he needed to be at home to care for his mentally ill brother, for whom he is the only available caregiver.
“It is unjust to allow Mr. Vailes to remain in prison when, if sentenced under the current law, and with his good behavior credits, he would have already been released,” read the second filing.
A Change.org petition also advocating for Vailes’ release stood at over 2,000 signatures as of Wednesday evening.

Whoopi Goldberg to Produce Garcelle Beauvais Cyber-Stalker Film at Lifetime!
Whoopi Goldberg will team up with fellow daytime talk show host Garcelle Beauvais for a new Lifetime crime drama film.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Caught in His Web will be based on a true story of a series of “sextortion” crimes that took place in Belmont, NH, and was originally optioned by the network from a Wired article detailing the incident.
Beauvais will star as a detective assisting three teenage girls, played by Malia Baker, Alison Thornton, and Emma Tremblay, trapped in the grip of stalking, torment and blackmail at the hands of the same anonymous cyberstalker. The designer collectible dolls, which immortalize RUN DMC members Run (Joseph Simmons), DMC (Darryl McDaniels), and Jam Master Jay (Jason Mizell), are part of the Sketch.inc for Lucie Kaas Kokeshi collection, a collection that includes “some of the greatest legends and icons within the fashion, art, music and cultural world.” Each doll is custom hand-painted by world-renowned British artist Becky Kemp on Schima superba wood and ranges in size from about 15.5 – 16 cm in height. Each retails for abut $63 USD and can be purchased on the Lucie Kaas website.
Founded in 1983, RUN DMC was arguably one of the most influential acts in the history of hip-hop culture. They were the first hip-hop artists to be nominated for a Grammy, have their video aired on MTV, appear on the cover of Rolling Stone, and the creators of the first rap single to reach Billboard’s Top 10. Now, the group’s members are first rappers to be part of the Sketch.inc for Lucie Kaas collection of kokeshi dolls. However, they are in good company, joining other cultural icons including Prince, Elton John, and Freddie Mercury.
Japanese kokeshi dolls are an art form in their own right. The dolls, often simply referred to as “kokeshi,” are simple wooden dolls with no arms or legs. They have been crafted for more than 150 years in and around Japan, mainly as a toy for children, but now more as an art genre. The Sketch.inc for Lucie Kaas Kokeshi collection dolls have become collectible items all over the world and are found in department stores, museum shops and flagship stores such as MoMA in New York, Le Bon Marché in Paris, Selfridges in London and the Karl Lagerfeld Flagship Store in Paris.
The Sketch.inc for Lucie Kaas collection came to life in 2015, when Lucie Kaas started collaborating with Kemp and other international designers such as Lim+Lu, Christian Troels, and Masquespacio, creating a collection that bridges design with fashion, music, art and all aspects of culture into one form.
While many hip-hop artists foray into fashion and shoe design, few if any have officially received their own dolls. However, the Lucie Kaas Kokeshi collection grows each season with the dolls making their place in the world of designer collectibles.
YouTube Says It Will Remove Video Content With Misinformation About Any Vaccine!
YouTube has announced that the platform will begin removing content questioning any approved medical vaccines, not just those that pertain to COVID-19. This decision is a departure from their historically hands-off approach to content that is featured on the site.
Google, the platform’s parent company, announced earlier today that it would extend its policy against misinformation to cover all vaccines that health authorities have deemed effective. The ban will apply to any media that claims vaccines are dangerous or lead to chronic health outcomes, such as the widely held debates on whether vaccines cause autism, YouTube’s vice president for trust and safety, Matt Halprin, said in a statement.
Last year, YouTube removed video content that was critical of COVID-19 vaccines.
The platform said it has since pulled more than 130,000 videos for violating the rule. But many videos got around the rule by making false claims about vaccines without mentioning COVID-19 specifically. YouTube has since determined its policy was too limited and amended it.
“We can imagine viewers then potentially extrapolating to Covid-19,” Halprin said in a recent interview. “We wanted to make sure that we’re covering the whole gamut.”
