The Daily Buzz For Nov 2

Adele is the lastest celeb on the cover of 'Vanity Fair'
Adele has never been one to hide her feelings (especially in song), but she also isn't someone you see plastered all over magazine covers from week to week. So when she does sit down with a writer for an interview, it's about as in-depth as you get. The most recent profile of the "Hello" singer appears in Vanity Fair, and she shares her thoughts on just about everything, from motherhood to Beyonce, even making a snarky remark about WiFi at one point.

We knew we adored Adele already, but check out our takeaways from her latest interview and fall in love even more.
Featured in an excerpt before the article, Adele admits she can't quite believe everything that has happened to her since her breakout in 2008. "I swear to god I laugh at every big thing that happens in my career," she said. "I laugh out loud because I think it’s f---in’ ridiculous. At some point, the director of The Truman Show is going to come and say this is a sequel."

She struggled with postpartum depression after the birth of her (now 4-year-old) son Angelo.
After admitting she's "too scared" to have another child, Adele revealed that she had "really bad" postpartum depression after giving birth to Angelo. While she said it "frightened" her, the singer says she didn't resort to antidepressants -- but also didn't talk to anyone about it. "I was very reluctant. ... My boyfriend [Simon Konecki, Angelo's father] said I should talk to other women who were pregnant, and I said, ‘F--- that, I ain’t hanging around with a f---in’ bunch of mothers.’"

Gradually, Adele admitted she began gravitating toward her friends with kids because they were a bit more understanding. And over time, she realized what was best for her. "Eventually I just said, I’m going to give myself an afternoon a week, just to do whatever the f--- I want without my baby. A friend of mine said, ‘Really? Don’t you feel bad?’ I said, I do, but not as bad as I’d feel if I didn’t do it." She added, "It makes you a better mom if you give yourself a better time."

She's insanely protective of her son.
Despite the fact that Adele gives herself alone time every now and then, she keeps an extra careful eye on Angelo. “I’d sue the f---in’ ass off anyone that comes anywhere near my child.”
She's in no rush to get married -- and may never end up walking down the aisle.

Adele told the mag that she "doesn’t need" marriage to prove that she loves Simon, whom she's been dating since 2011. In fact, she thinks having a child together is the bigger, more important commitment. Later in the interview, she gushed over Simon, calling him "perfect."

She could care less if her legs are hairy (yes, even having a serious boyfriend).
Adele had no problem admitting that she went a month without shaving, eventually shaving because she was afraid people in the front row of her shows would begin to notice her leg hair as she walked up the stairs of her stage. When asked if Simon minded her hairy legs, Adele was quick to declare, “He has no choice. I’ll have no man telling me to shave my f---in’ legs. Shave yours."
She thinks WiFi is going to kill us.
After commenting on how "pissed off" she gets to see members of her crowd on their phones, Adele made it clear that she's not super big fan of WiFi. "This WiFi, you watch, it’s going to f---in’ kill our insides. ... It’s just floating around. I’m telling you, we’ll find out in 25 years.”
She was drunk while writing a majority of her album 21.
Adele revealed she "was completely off my face" writing her sophomore album, drinking two bottles of wine and chain-smoking on a regular basis. "A drunk tongue is an honest one," she said. "I can see from an outsider’s perspective that I will never write songs as good as the ones that are on 21, but I’m not as indulgent as I was then, and I don’t have time to fall apart like I did then."

She has adored Beyonce since she was 11.
"She’s my Michael Jackson,” Adele raved, mentioning that her love affair began after she heard Destiny Child's "No, No, No." (Beyonce loves her right back, telling Vanity Fair, "She’s funny as hell and her comebacks are legendary," adding that she's "the most humble human being I’ve ever met.”)

She doesn't consider herself a singer, per se.
While this may sound absurd, Adele said she considers herself more of a "wailer" than a singer. With Beyonce, Stevie Nicks and Bette Midler at the top of her list of favorite singers, she apparently doesn't think she should be grouped with them: "They’re on the next level."

She's "a lot less bitchy" than she used to be.
Addressing the past boyfriends who inspired her songs of long-lost love and heartbreak, Adele admitted that hate got in the way of the love she once felt for each one of them. "But I’m an adult now, I’m a mother, and I’m a lot less bitchy," she said. "They were interesting people, and while we’re not friends and I don’t see them regularly, I have seen them and it’s all fine."

She'd love to be on Broadway -- and even has a role in mind.
After Adele said she's in this business for "the long haul," the 10-time Grammy winner mentioned that she probably won't do a huge tour like the 43-city Adele Live 2016 trek again. She could see herself doing a brief Las Vegas residency, though, and even desires to play Mama Rose in Gypsy on Broadway -- but "like when I’m 50."

#RHoA: 'Real Housewives of Atlanta' Star Phaedra Parks on Ex-Husband Apollo Nida 'I'll Always Love Him'
Phaedra Parks said fans of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" will see "my divorce become final" when the series returns.
The attorney divorced Apollo Nida, who is currently serving an eight-year prison stint for bank fraud and identity theft. The two wed in 2009, having two sons -- Ayden, 6, and Dylan, 3 -- together before their split.
"I'm glad that I'm able to enter a new chapter in my life," Parks told ABC News, "but at the same time as a woman and as a probably anal person who's very ambitious, you don’t want to be the most successful business person and be a failure at personal relationships."

Still, the mother of two said she's moved on from Nida.
"I'll always love him because he’s the father of my children so I can never be regretful of that because out of our union came these beautiful awesome kids," she said. "But as far as being in love with him romantically, I’m definitely not at that place in my life anymore."
Parks, 43, said viewers will see just how hard it's been adjusting to being a working single mom when season 9 premieres Nov. 6. Thankfully, the mortician said she has help -- her mother, Regina, her governess and her life manager.
Still, the mother said she does feel like a piece of her family is missing with Nida behind bars.
"Where we feel his absence [is] when the boys ask, 'Show me how to play football.' I know obviously quite a bit about the game, but I’m not the best football coach," she admitted.

Parks also revealed that although she's visited Nida in Fort Dix, the low-security New Jersey prison where Nida is serving his time, her two boys haven't returned since we saw them trek there in a March 6 episode.
On season 9, Parks said viewers can also expect to see her spend a lot of time with her "RHOA" co-star Porsha Williams since the two are both single. But Parks admitted that Williams may be having more luck in her personal life because she hasn't been dating at all.
It didn't stop her from creating a business out of her predicament.
"We actually have a dating app," Parks revealed. "We are trying to navigate those waters. We’re very excited and happy about that."
Still, Parks said there's a reason why she's timidly stepping back into the dating game.
"Obviously when you’re on a television show, you have to be somewhat guarded and when you’re a parent you have to be somewhat protective because I’ve got these two boys," she explained. "I always said if I dated someone they would really be dating my two children. It would be a joint venture for all of us."

Season 9 of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" premieres Sunday on Bravo at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

#EMPIRE: Will The Lyons Or Shine Win Their Family Feud?
'Empire' Season 3: Lucious Lyon Is Coming Back For Cookie

In Empire Season 3, episode 5, which airs at 9 p.m. EDT Wednesday, the Lyons are doing to war with Shine and his crew. The two factions are hell bent on taking each other down.
There is a good chance that Andre Lyon and Shine’s sister, Nessa, may get caught in the crossfire. The two have had a lot of chemistry throughout the season and eventually hook up at the end of episode 4. However, Andre is also not doing well, as he hallucinates his dead wife Rhonda while making out with Nessa.

Will Andre and Nessa’s budding attraction survive their family’s feud? We will find out during the season premiere, which is best viewed on television or live online through Fox Now.
Lucious and Cookie are counting on Hakeem to step up and take care of his baby daughter, Bella. Meanwhile, Lucious is pushing Jamal to return to performing. He has struggled with PTSD ever since being shot in Season 2. However, Lucious took a collection of his songs and released them as “The Black Album” and now expects Jamal to perform them.
Originally, Jamal was to release a record called “The Black And White Album,” featuring songs produced by his father, Lucious (the black) and his mother, Cookie (the white).

Jamal has made progress coming to terms with what happened to him, but remains uncertain whether he is ready to return to the stage.

Empire airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. on Fox.

New Music from TLC Returns With Two New Singles “Joy Ride” & “Haters”
Who’s ready to finally hear the long-awaited new music that Chilli and T-Boz have been cooking up? All the fans that contributed to their successful Kickstarter campaign are for sure. But, all of us lifetime TLC fans have been eager as well, and now, that time is well, now.
In what seems like a surprise, but questionable move, Chilli and T-Boz have released two brand new singles, off their anticipated comeback album, but on iTunes Japan exclusively. Building on the TLC sound which pushed the barriers of R&B/Pop in the ’90s and early 2000s, both tracks feel like an adequate progression into a modern version.

The first song, “Joy Ride,” is a lively, breezy anthem, meant to feel good and celebrate all the fun times the ladies have had together. “I remember just like it was yesterday / I was just dreaming, praying my whole life would change / You, all the support you gave me, made me who I am today,” they sing.
Meanwhile, the second song “Haters” is also an upbeat Pop/R&B number, and their latest effort to address current issues, focusing on bullying across social media.
There is currently no official confirmation on the album’s release date, or when these singles will be launched in the U.S., but the duo’s manager Bill Diggins recently told Paste Magazine that 15 songs have already been completed for the project and it’s on the way.

In early 2015, TLC asked fans to help fund their final album through a Kickstarter campaign, and it was hugely successful. The ladies raised over $400,000 with the help of more than 4,000 backers.
“This album, our FINAL ALBUM, is dedicated to all of you that have stuck with us, always challenging us to do our best,” reads TLC’s message on Kickstarter. “And of course, it’s for the new fans too!

😉 We just want to put out great music that touches everyone. That’s it.”

“The Real” Ratings Up, Despite Tamar Braxton’s Departure
Numbers don’t lie and things are looking good for “The Real“. The Warner Bros. daytime talk show has picked up 13% to a new season high 0.9, tying with the show Crime Watch.
This news comes on the heels of their being much speculation on if the show would suffer, after terminating Tamar Braxton after least season.

Last month, the talk show was rumored to be facing cancellation in the wake of Braxton’s firing. The third season of The Real debuted on FOX this fall, making it the first to air without Braxton on the hosting panel.
At the time, ratings reportedly dropped significantly, with a 22 percent decrease in viewers compared to the Season 2 premiere in 2015. Broadcasting Cable suggested that The Real could potentially be in danger of cancellation unless ratings improve, revealing that the 22 percent decrease in ratings
showed the largest declines of any talkers that haven’t already been canceled.
Meanwhile both the remaining co-hosts and the reality star/singer seemed to have moved on. This month, the show has secured a few celebrity guest co-hosts including: Eve, Ashanti, Monica and Angela Simmons.

Tamar’s new talk show, produced by Steve Harvey’s production company, is set to air in 2017.

Ebony & Ivory! Donna Brazile had to resign from CNN, but Corey Lewandowski still has a job
In the VENN diagram of this election, it’s always interesting to see when certain stories overlap with the deplorables’ agenda. This is one of those times. Donna Brazile is currently the interim Democratic National Committee chairwoman, having taken the position after Debbie Wasserman-Schultz had to resign at the beginning of the DNC convention this summer. Brazile has headed up the DNC before, and she was Al Gore’s campaign manager (the first African-American woman to hold that position for a national campaign). My point is not that Brazile is a partisan hack – certainly, we all knew that! – it’s that CNN knew what they were getting when they continued to employ Brazile as an on-air commentator.

In Brazile’s work for CNN, she apparently had access to some questions which would be asked in the Democratic primary debates. We already knew that Brazile had emailed the Clinton campaign some ideas/thoughts about what questions would be asked. And in the latest batch of Wikileaks-released emails, people have discovered that this was something that Brazile did more than once – she was emailing exact debate questions to the Clinton campaign ahead of primary debates. So CNN fired her/accepted her resignation.
While I do think it’s fair and just that Brazile should not have a job with CNN, obviously… like, the sh-t is still problematic. CNN still employs former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski as a commentator and he literally still collects checks from Donald Trump. It’s being seen as a certain kind of narrative, that CNN is fine with holding a black woman to a different standard than a white guy. So in the VENN diagram, the deplorables are outraged that Brazile was at CNN… and other groups are outraged that only Brazile was ousted.

Hey, I can’t speak to the questions asked during the primary debates. But the questions asked during the presidential and vice-presidential debates? While there were strokes of genius here and there (Anderson Cooper and Martha Raddatz did God’s work in their debate), we went through four debates (three presidential, one VP) without any questions being asked about LGBTQ issues, trans access to public bathrooms, marriage equality, “religious freedom” statutes at the state level, climate change, nuclear proliferation and more. My point is that the candidates can prepare for nearly any question and that preparation isn’t any guarantee that your candidate will even get the question.

Jennifer Lopez is BOOTYLICIOUS as she films Shades of Blue in New York
Jennifer Lopez was back on the set of her cop show on Tuesday.
The 47-year-old star donned some oh-so-tight blue jeans as she filmed a scene in Queens, New York.
Lopez was spotted alongside co-star Gino Anthony Pesi as cameras rolled for second season of the FBI drama.
Sporting a mop of voluminous curls Lopez looked great as she got into character as Harlee Santos.
The Latina lovely teamed her curve-enhancing jeans with a black bomber jacket and some worn looking combat boots.
Ready to defend herself against any perp coming her way, the star wore a handgun on her hip.
The season one finale of the NBC series aired March 31 and season two will premiere in 2017.

Drag Race Alums Get Festive Again For Christmas Queens 2
Queens proved to be such a fruitful venture that a sequel was warranted. Rupaul’s Drag Race BOTS announced Christmas Queens 2 by sharing the official cover art via Instagram.
The roster includes several fan favorites returning for a second round but also some new blood. Thorgy Thor from Season 8 being one. However, the most notable newbie isn’t even a drag queen. Carnie Wilson of Wilson Phillips fame joins the motley crew, giving Michelle Visage some estrogen company.
Also worth mentioning is the inclusion of Phi Phi O’Hara. I wonder if she laid down her tracks before notoriously skipping out the reunion for All-Stars 2. Someone was salty ðŸ˜‰
