Taraji P. Henson Gets RED HOT For Rolling Out Magazine
Fab chick Taraji P. Henson is the cover girl for this week’s Rolling Out magazine issue. The No Good Deed actress got red hot in a two-piece Marissa Webb number paired with Marissa Webb black and gold metallic tipped pumps.
Before her new film (that she’s also executive producing) hits theaters, the upcoming “Empire” actress chopped it up with the magazine about defying all the odds and accomplishing what no other woman in her family has ever been able to do. She also dished on when she finally decided to get with her acting and the moment she realized she could actually make it Hollywood.

On building her empire:
“Everything that I’ve worked for … I have built an empire in one generation. My son [Marcel] does not remember the bad times. I preach to him that he should protect it as well. I’ve done what my mother wasn’t able to do or her mother. That’s pretty huge. I emphasize him protecting it as well, with social media, [telling him to] be careful what you put out there. They are going to try to get to me through you,” she explains.
On when she started to take acting seriously:
“My whole life, I performed in front of anybody who’d listen. I got serious about it when I saw my Howard University colleagues make it. I would attend the movies and ask, ‘Is that Paula Jai Parker?’ ‘Is that Anthony Anderson?’ I realized I could do this and really make money. Even though I studied it, it seemed so far removed and I wondered if I’d be a starving theater actress.”
“We have great people to look up to; alumnae Lynn Whitfield, Debbie Allen and Phylicia Rashad. I went into the program with a lot hope. It was when I saw my actual peers book jobs, I told myself, ‘I can do this!’ It’s when I got really serious about it.”
No Good Deed hits theaters a day after her 44th birthday, Sept. 12th.

Jhene Aiko reveals she’s dating which hip-hop producer?
Move over Drizzy Drake, Childish Gambino and Joe Budden! Soulful songbird Jhene Aiko reveals that she’s in a serious relationship with hip hop producer, Dot Da Genius.
As you may recall, Aiko was linked to Drake earlier this year, when reports surfaced that she was hooking-up with the rapper behind then-girlfriend Rihanna’s back. The claims went as far as alleging that the “Bed Peace” songstress was carrying his child.
On Wednesday, Septemeber 3, those rumors were silenced permanently when Aiko and her now rumored fiance Dot Da Genius stepped out into the Los Angeles streets, rocking what appeared to be matching engagement bands, reports Mstarz.

A Detailed Look Of The Fragment Design x Air Jordan 1
Sneaker connoisseurs have seen their fair share of Air Jordan 1s this year, but there’s always room for one more. That said, we have some detailed flicks of the upcoming fragment design x Air Jordan 1.
This collaborative effort could easily be mistaken for an OG colorway, because the kicks looks quite similar to the “Black Toe.” The main exception is the royal blue that appears throughout the shoe and the fragment design branding that appears on the heel.
It’s unclear when the fragment design x Air Jordan 1 are due to release, so stay tuned for info in the meantime peep the flicks.

Diddy, Rick Ross, French Montana Dragged Down In Nasty Gucci Mane Drama
Music stars Kanye West, Diddy, Rick Ross and French Montana are catching heat over a new collaborative effort called “Gucci Mane.” According to reports, Atlanta rapper 9gotti has taken legal action over an alleged song-jacking.
According to Sohh: Chinga Chang Records claims the song belonged to 9gotti … before Yeezus and the others stole it from him. The record label sent a cease and desist letter that’s pretty comical … saying the ripoff may have been a “drunken oversight.” It also takes a shot at Diddy — accusing him of being a music thief — and says Rick Ross should know better because he’s an ex-correctional officer. According to the letter … French’s song and 9gotti’s tune are nearly identical. French’s version hasn’t been released yet … and Chinga Chang is dead-set on making sure it never comes out. (TMZ)

NeNe Leakes is adding Broadway to her ever-growing and impressive resume of accomplishments.
Mrs. NeNe Leakes is making big moves, stacking paper, and taking both Hollywood and Broadway by storm.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta and Glee actress has signed on to play the wicked stepmother in Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella on Broadway, from Nov. 25 to Jan. 3, 2015. NeNe Leakes will be taking over the role from the show’s current stepmother, Sherri Shepherd, and acting alongside Keke Palmer, who plays Cinderella. NeNe recently came off a stint as a contestant on Dancing with the Stars, and now she’s headed to the big stage. This is not NeNe’s first time on the big stage; she did a stint earlier this year for Cirque de Soleil’s “Zumanity“.
The play also announced that it will also close its two-year run on Jan. 3, 2015. Congratulations NENE on the BIG GIG!.

LHHATL’s Joseline Hernandez attacked Tammy Rivera and ripped off her weave ponytail at the reunion, Waka Flocka’s wife later addressed the altercation on Twitter. And yes…guns are drawn.

Nicki Minaj Hits Alexander Wang NYFW Show; Teaches Models The “Anaconda” Dance
Nicki Minaj hit up Alexander Wang’s Spring 2015 collection runway show, during New York Fashion Week on Saturday. The “Anaconda” rapper looked fab in a purple and turquoise crop top and matching skirt from the label, paired with heels by Miu Miu.
While at the show, Nicki took a moment to meet up with Vogue.com, and gave a few of the models in attendance, a lesson in how to do her “Anaconda” dance. With chairs on hand, Nicki and the ladies reenacted dances from the much-discussed video.

Getting in on all the star-studded action, Chloe Moretz and Denzel Washington attended the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival premiere of their new film “The Equalizer”
The “American Gangster” stud and the “If I Stay” starlet were joined by costars Allen Maldonado, Marto Csokas, Haley Bennett and Melissa Leo at Roy Thomson Hall as they greeted fans and press ahead of the screening.
And though Chloe looked absolutely fabulous in her custom-made Dior dress, she definitely ran into a big snag just before hitting the red carpet.
Moretz posted a full-length photo to Instagram along with the caption, “Nobody would know the zipper completely broke and we had to sew me into the dress… #secrets.”

Supermodel Naomi Campbell was the lady of the hour (in a black laser-cut two-piece number) at The Daily Front Row 2nd Annual Fashion Media Awards at Park Hyatt in NYC. The 44-year-old legend was honored with the Best TV Personality of the Year Award, presented by W Magazine’s fashion and style director Edward Enninful.

Gucci Mane Scores Huge Legal Win, Prison Sentence Cut By 1 Year
Gucci Mane is a happier prisoner today … after being told he’ll be leaving the big house 12 months earlier than expected.
According to TMZ: According to court docs … after initially ruling against Gucci, an Atlanta judge has finally given the rapper the year’s worth of credit for time served he’s earned since his arrest for gun possession last September.
His 39-month sentence was originally scheduled to begin August 2014 when the judge made his ruling … but now that sentence will begin at the time of his arrest.
The 34-year-old’s been in and out of prison most of his adult life … with prior stints for hitting a fan with a bottle and pushing a woman out of a moving car. He was even charged with murder in 2005 … but prosecutors ultimately dropped the case.
He’s scheduled to be released in December 2016. And when Gucci found out he was like, “Let’s celebrate.”

Kimberly Smedley Queen of Butt Shots Released From Prison
Kimberly Smedley was the talk of 2012 when she was faced a 3 year sentence for pleading guilty to performing illegal butt shots on the black market in seedy hotel rooms in several states. Several celebrities (including local Atlanta ones too) apparently were patients of the Butt Shot Queen. Her new book “Backside of the Story” is raising eyebrows across the nation as many are wondering if Smedley’s book (available on Amazon) includes personal info regarding their backside. Recently we did spot Kim in Atlanta with Nicci Gilbert. Hmmm it looks like they werewell, I can’t tell if Nicci was sizing up Kim’s Backside of the Story or what? Yall so messy!
Today 10/9 Smedley will host a media “sip and blab SHOP” in Atlanta to tell reporters what they want to know and sell her book of course. All media is invited to join “Kim Smedley” at 1pm . Maybe Kim was giving Nicci her invite to the media brunch

Ray Rice Cut By The Ravens, Suspended By NFL
Ray Rice has been cut by the Baltimore Ravens and indefinitely suspended by the NFL … and it’s all over the knockout fight night video.
Reports TMZ: The team just announced it has terminated Rice’s contract this afternoon … hours after TMZ Sports posted the footage of the Pro Bowl running back attacking Janay Palmer in an elevator back in February.
Rice was in the middle of a 5-year $50 million contract he signed with the Ravens back in 2012.
The NFL had previously suspended Rice 2 games for the incident — but NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell later admitted he screwed up in punishing Rice too lightly … and instituted harsher punishments — a 6 game suspension for first time NFL domestic violence offenders.
But ironically Goodell violated his own new policy with an indefinite suspension … which makes the NFL sound like an organization out of control and ducking for cover.
