Tyra Banks and her GOTH
Look!?
America's Next Top Model host Tyra Banks
always encourages her protégés to look 'fierce'.
But the 38-year-old took her own advice to the extreme at The Moth Ball in New York City.
Instead of wearing a sexy smokey eye, the former chat show host streaked her entire face with charcoal shadow.

Instead of wearing a sexy smokey eye, the former chat show host streaked her entire face with charcoal shadow.
The overall effect of her face was ghoulish
when it could have been gorgeous.
At least her metallic gown was flattering, though its bronze shade seemed at odds with her pewter palette.

She accessorised with two huge gold earrings
which looked like lamp tassels.
She seems firmly rooted in her modelling
days, given the nature of a specific tweet during the event.
Banks, who has periodically struggled with her weight since leaving her catwalk days behind, is applauding Vogue editors for their new policy, which bans models under the age of 16.
The movement was meant to protect the
teenagers from feeling like they needed to maintain a certain weight in order to
appear in the fashion bible's glossy pages.
The American's Next Top Model host told CNN
recently: 'I think it’s amazing that they’re (editors) doing it because they do
not have to. There is nothing legal saying that Vogue had to make this decision.
This is something that they are doing on their own.
'When I heard about it. … I’m like, ‘Oh my
god this is a moment to celebrate.’ … I live for this, for expanding the
definition of beauty, for not having a stereotype and such a one physicality
that we all have to live up to, so I applaud Vogue.'
