#RHOA: Season 15 Cast Revealed, Find Out Who’s Returning & Filming Date as Janell Stephens is allegedly joining the cast!

The Real Housewives of Atlanta season 14 just ended on Sunday night with the conclusion of the three-part reunion. But already, the ladies are being assembled for the start of production on season 15

According to a new report, filming is set to begin on the new episodes this coming week with what will reportedly be a fairly large cast.

On September 27, multiple sources confirmed to LoveBScott that the entire season 14 cast, including Kandi Burruss, Kenya Moore, Drew Sidora, Sheree Whitfield, Sanya Richards-Ross, and Marlo Hampton, will be returning to their full-time roles for season 15, which is set to go into production on Monday, October 3.

The outlet also noted that beauty entrepreneur Janell Stephens, who founded Camille Rose Naturals, is expected to join the cast in either a full-time or “friend” role.

Porsha Williams, who has been facing rumors of a return since she announced her exit from the show around this time last year, has not yet been contacted in regard to a role on season 15.

Earlier this month, as he revealed the entire season 14 cast would likely be back for season 15, reporter Anthony Dominic said producers were looking to add two to three women and noted that there had been talks about bringing Porsha back.

Following this Monday’s first taping of the new season, LoveBScott claims the ladies will take part in their first full-coast event next Saturday, October 8, in honor of Sanya’s husband, Aaron Ross, who will be celebrating his 40th birthday party.

Although Porsha may not be a part of the new season, she will soon be back on the small screen. As RHOA fans may have heard, Porsha joined season three of Real Housewives: Ultimate Girls Trip, which was filmed in Thailand earlier this year, on the heels of Tinsley Mortimer‘s reported exit.

Porsha will be joined on the Peacock series by Heather Gay, Whitney Rose, Gizelle Bryant, Candiace Dillard-Bassett, Leah McSweeney, Alexia Echevarria, and Marysol Patton.

#OOOPS! Todrick Hall Owes $102k ...In Unpaid Rent Ordered by Judge to PAY UP!

Choreographer and former "Celebrity Big Brother" contestant Todrick Hall may need to downsize ... he's been ordered to cough up six figures after being sued over unpaid rent.

According to new legal docs, obtained by TMZ, a default judgment was entered against Todrick and now he's on the hook for more than $102,000.

As we reported ... Todrick was sued in March for allegedly failing to pay back rent on a Sherman Oaks home. The suit claimed his monthly rent was $30K and he had fallen behind.

Oddly enough, Todrick made it seem -- at least on social media -- like he owned the home ... giving an elaborate tour of the lavish property in a YouTube video where he says, "I have been wanting to buy a home for a very very long time, and this is a dream come true."

The place is decked out with an outdoor pool, movie theater, huge massive closet and even a Louis Vuitton bedframe ... which would explain the $30K monthly rent.

Todrick's been ordered to pay $100,000 in damages plus another $2K in attorney fees and costs.

... so far no word back from Todrick.

Trevor Noah Says So Long to ‘The Daily Show’

“The Daily Show” host Trevor Noah has announced he will step away from the anchor desk.

In a video statement shared on Twitter Thursday, Noah said that after seven years as host of the Comedy Central satirical news program, his “time is up.”

“It’s been absolutely amazing. It’s something that I never expected,” Noah said of his experience hosting the show. “I found myself thinking throughout the time of everything we’ve gone through. The Trump presidency, the pandemic, just the journey, more pandemic and I realize that after the seven years, my time is up.”

Noah, a standup comedian from South Africa, was a relative newcomer to American audiences when he was named as host of “The Daily Show” after Jon Stewart signed off in 2015.

“I want to say thank you to you, to you who watched this,” Noah said. “I never dreamed that I would be here. I sort of feel like ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.’ I came here for a tour of what the previous show was and then the next thing you know I was handed the keys.”

Noah hinted that his decision to leave the show is rooted in his desire to return to more standup work.

“I spent two years in my apartment, not on the road, and when I got back out there, I realized there’s another part of my life out there that I want to carry on exploring. I miss learning other languages. I miss going to other countries and putting on shows,” Noah said.

He expressed his gratitude to his viewers, “The Daily Show” team and to Comedy Central, “who believed in this random comedian nobody knew on this side of the world.”

“I’ve loved hosting this show, it’s been one of my greatest challenges and one of my greatest joys,” Noah said. “I’ve loved trying to find a way to make people laugh, even when the stories are particularly s***y, even on the worst days. We’ve laughed together, we’ve cried together.”

He did not share when his final show would be, but said he’d still be around for awhile.

“Don’t worry, i’m not disappearing,” Noah said. “If I owe you money, I’ll still pay you.”

N.C. Sheriff Under Investigation For Racist Rant, ‘I’m Sick Of These Black B******s’ Caught In Recording

A North Carolina sheriff is under investigation after a recording surfaced of him calling his Black deputies derogatory names and saying they should be fired.

The Raleigh News & Observer reports that the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation confirmed Wednesday (Sept. 28) that it launched an obstruction of justice probe against Columbus County Sheriff Jody Greene after a local prosecutor requested an investigation.

Local TV station WECT broke the news about the recording on Wednesday.

“I’m sick of these Black bastards. I’m going to clean house and be done with it,” Greene, who is white, said in a February 2019 phone call with then-Captain Jason Soles, who recorded about six and a half minutes of their conversation.

At that time, Soles was the acting sheriff because Greene was in an election dispute with the previous sheriff, Lewis Hatcher, who is Black. Election officials were investigating a complaint about whether Greene was eligible to serve as sheriff. Greene had suspected that Black deputies in the department were loyal to Hatcher and had leaked information to him.

Soles, who is white, is now running for Columbus County Sheriff against Greene. He told WECT that he had previously shared the recording with state and county officials, but the SBI declined to investigate until the local prosecutor requested a probe.

In the phone call, Greene said he should fire disloyal Black deputies. “Every Black that I know, you need to fire him to start with, he’s a snake,” Greene stated. Several Black officers in leadership positions were later demoted or fired.

The North Carolina NAACP condemned the recording and demanded Greene’s resignation.

“His language is divisive, nasty, and offensive — his words are disparaging and hurtful to people of color. His actions have cast a cloud over his ability to execute the office with impartiality,” the NAACP said in a statement, according to The Associated Press.

In his defense, Greene accused Soles of having political motives for releasing the recording to the media. He didn’t deny making the comments but alleged that the recording was edited or altered.

The NAACP was not alone in condemning Greene’s remarks. “These allegations are deeply disturbing and if true, should disqualify anyone from serving in law enforcement,” Ford Porter, a spokesman for Gov. Roy Cooper, stated.

Fellow sheriffs across the state have also denounced Greene’s comments. The governing board of the North Carolina Sheriffs’ Association, which represents all 100 sheriffs in the state, voted Thursday night to hold a hearing on booting Greene from the organization. That prompted Greene to preemptively resign.

Chris Brown Reveals Car Crash Involving 'Stalker'

Chris Brown has had some wild fan encounters in the past, but the fandom appears to have reached new levels.

On Thursday, Chris detailed an incident with a “stalker,” who seemingly crashed a car while trying to get to him. He shared a photo on his Instagram Story of a white pickup truck that rolled over a Tesla in what looks like a residential neighborhood.

Chris was in disbelief while describing the surreal scene. “Bruh wtf?! I have so many questions people really fried!!!” he wrote in his caption.

While Chris himself didn’t appear to be involved, the Tesla owner wasn’t as fortunate. “Another stalker… this time these folks done ran into somebody shit,” he said. “Shit look like the hulk just placed this truck on top of this Tesla.”

This is hardly the first time Chris has dealt with intruders. Earlier this year, police were called to the singer’s San Fernando Valley home after a woman showed up on numerous occasions. No arrests were made, but police filed an incident report.

Back in 2015, the singer returned to his home to find a naked woman in his bed and “I Love You” spray painted on the kitchen counter. The 21-year-old trespasser was booked for felony burglary and felony vandalism.

When he’s not dealing with obsessed fans, Breezy recently shot a video for his three-year-old track “Under the Influence” after it went viral and charted on Billboard.

Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson formally inducted as Supreme Court judge

As previously reported, on June 30, Ketanji Brown Jackson became the first Black woman sworn in as a justice in the United States Supreme Court. While her title was announced that day, the official induction was postponed until Justice Stephen Breyer’s retirement.

Today (Sept. 30), Jackson’s formal ceremony finally took place. President Biden and Vice President Harris were both present for her investiture. The Supreme Court’s 2022 term picks back up next week, ending their summer recess. Jackson took two oaths when she was sworn in, in June: A constitutional oath, administered by Chief Justice John Roberts, and a judicial oath, administered by Justice Stephen Breyer.

Jackson and Breyer have a long-standing history with one another. She previously clerked for him after she graduated from Harvard University. Jackson was photographed smiling as he delivered the statutory oath.

Many used social media to express their happiness for her new position, including several politicians. New Jersey Senator Cory Booker tweeted, “Today Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson is my star — my harbinger of hope. Grateful and joyful to witness history today at the Supreme Court.” New Jersey Representative Bill Pascrell, Jr. added, “Say it with me: Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson!”

New Jersey politicians weren’t the only ones singing Jackson’s praises. Illinois Representative Lauren Underwood wrote, “Today, Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson’s investiture ceremony marks her place in our nation’s history as the first Black woman and the first public defender to serve on the highest court in the land. Congratulations Justice Jackson!”

Maryland Senator Ben Cardin echoed the sentiments of his fellow lawmakers: “I have been an enthusiastic supporter of Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson from day one. Today, we recognize her trailblazing journey that led her to becoming the first Black woman on the Supreme Court. Thank you for being a compassionate and fearless defender of the law.”

Solange makes New York City Ballet history at star-studded opening night

Solange Knowles is that girl and will forever be! On Wednesday (Sept. 28) night, the Grammy award-winning artist officially became the second Black woman to compose an original score for the New York City Ballet.

As previously reported by REVOLT, Solange revealed the exciting news via social media in August. “Very excited to announce I’ve composed an original score for the New York City Ballet,” the “Cranes in the Sky” singer wrote at the time. “Choreography by Gianna Reisen, score performed by the City Ballet Orchestra and soloist from my ensemble.” Much like her comments were full of love and support following the revelation, last night was no different. Guests like Tyler, the Creator and A$AP Ferg were in attendance for the superstar’s big night, as well as her sister BeyoncΓ© and mother Tina Knowles-Lawson.

The score, which is titled “Play Time,” featured looks from Spanish designer Alejandro Gomez Paloma and provided an interesting spin on classic mid-century office attire. Each of the dancers were seen glistening from head to toe with more than 800,000 Swarovski crystals embellished across their costumes. This is the first piece of new music from Solange since her 2019 album When I Get Home.

Following the historic debut, Solange celebrated the moment in two Instagram posts accompanied by images of her surrounded by family and friends. “Heart so full,” she wrote in the caption of the first round of photos shared to her social media account, which included behind-the-scenes pictures from the performance, along with a photo of her in the middle of her mother and sister. The second post was captioned, “What a tribe,” and included more BTS photos of friends and family who came to support her during the opening night. Other show dates span across the month of October and next May, and will be held at the Lincoln Center in New York.

Kim Burrell claims Jamie Foxx called Ellen DeGeneres to defend her after homophobic sermon in 2017

Controversial gospel singer Kim Burrell recalled Thursday that Oscar-winning actor Jamie Foxx came to her defense after she was barred from appearing on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in the wake of a resurfaced clip that showed her giving a homophobic sermon.

On the latest episode of Tamron Hall, the recording artist responded to the daytime host's inquiry about a 2016 religious speech in which she spoke about the "perverted homosexual spirit."

"No one has ever interviewed me about what it is I'm offended by and why should it matter. A reaction from a community that says, 'we're extreme on love,' didn't respond in love, in thinking that I was being deliberate to hurt. Truth hurts. I was standing there preaching what I know is the truth," Burrell said, also alleging that people shot at her car (she didn't file a police report), and that she had helicopters surveying her home after the incident. "I have to stand on the truth, no matter what. I can be criticized for it, I can be so-called 'canceled' for it, no one has reported that my friend Jamie Foxx felt the need to call Ellen and say, 'You got this one wrong. She has been more to our community than what the world is willing to see, and we don't think that the extreme of canceling her from a show was a proper response compared to what she's done for our community."

EW has reached out to representatives for Foxx and DeGeneres for comment.

Burrell also criticized fellow singer Yolanda Adams for her response to the sermon, which she called an "unwarranted" attack.

"I was disappointed, because we've all shared the same stage, back rooms, and green rooms, and some of their public display in conversation is somewhat opposite of what it is behind stage," Burrell continued. "I would've much preferred, especially dealing with gospel, Yolanda Adams, we're both from Houston, Texas, to pick up the cell phone and say, 'Hey, I have a career to save, and I can't agree with your stance right now, I need to say something different to my public.' I would've preferred that."

Representatives for Adams did not immediately respond to EW's request for comment.

After a clip from the sermon resurfaced in late 2016, DeGeneres spoke out against Burrell, calling Burrell's words "not nice," and stood by her decision to cancel her scheduled talk show appearance.

"I didn't feel that was good of me to have her on the show to give her a platform after she was saying things about me," DeGeneres said on her show, which moved on with its interview with Pharrell Williams, Burrell's musical collaborator on the soundtrack for the 2016 film Hidden Figures.

"There's no room for any kind of prejudice in 2017, and moving on. There's no room," Williams told DeGeneres, though he still called Burrell a "fantastic singer."

In addition to her successful career as a gospel act, Burrell has collaborated with mainstream pop acts over the years, including Harry Connick, Jr. on 2003's "I Pray on Christmas," Mariah Carey on Randy Jackson's Music Club: Volume One album cut "I Understand" in 2008, Frank Ocean's 2016 tune "Godspeed," and on Jay-Z's 2017 song "4:44."

Burrell again courted backlash in July, after a clip went viral of her speaking at the Kingdom City Church. The video showed her seemingly urging parishioners to interview people to make sure they're not "broke" before letting them into their lives. She also called people "ugly" and advocated against COVID vaccines.

Awwwwww, Serena Williams Styles Olympia's Hair To Look Like The Character From Her New Children's Book

Serena Williams may have retired from tennis, but the GOAT has been booked and busy. The proud mom recently released a children's book, "The Adventures of Qai Qai," which is inspired by Olympia's own baby doll name and follows the adventures of the doll and the little girl who loves her.

In the adorable video, Olympia continues to think that the little girl in the book is her. Serena starts brushing through her daughter's hair, telling her, "Ooh girl, we're going to do your hair today."

Serena suggests they try the same look as the book's main character, to which Olympia says, "that's me."

In a later scene, she reads a line from the book which says, "get it, baby girl, work that runway," and encourages Olympia to do the same.

"Work that runway!" Serena shouts as Olympia struts around, stumbling briefly before regaining her stride.

She then runs back to her mom, sits next to her, and says, "That was cool!"

This is the cutest thing you'll see today!

On Jimmy Carter's 98th Birthday, His Charity — and Grandson — Honor Former President's Legacy: 'Awe-Inspiring'

Former President Jimmy Carter has turned 98 years old, and people all over the world are joining in the celebration.

Carter, who currently reigns as America's oldest living president, has had a busy four decades since he left the White House, continuing his philanthropic efforts through The Carter Center, which he founded in 1982 with former first lady Rosalynn Carter.

In honor of Saturday's milestone occasion, marking the highest age a former U.S. president has ever reached, the Carter Center team has created an online bulletin board where admirers of the 39th president can post a message of appreciation. (The nonprofit organized a similar celebration for Rosalynn's 95th birthday in August.)

"As the longest-living president in U.S. history, President Jimmy Carter has had a remarkable life of service that deserves worldwide celebration," said Paige Alexander, CEO of The Carter Center, in a statement. "Whether here in Georgia or in hard-to-reach regions around the world, millions of people have benefited from President Carter's commitment to making the world a better place."

The former first couple's grandson Jason Carter now serves as chair of the Carter Center board of trustees, and says he's "honored" to be a part of carrying on his grandparents' legacy.

"It's been awe-inspiring to watch my grandfather live out his values for all these decades," He says. "My earliest memories are from his years in the White House, and I've grown up witnessing and learning from his faith and his belief in equal treatment and respect for all people."

Jason adds that President Carter has "always been known for his honesty, his work ethic, for asking tough questions, and for his persistence." (He notes that Rosalynn prefers to call that last part "stubbornness.")

Those traits, Jason says, are a large part of why the Carter Center has been successful since its conception, working on "everything from observing elections to resolving conflicts to nearly eradicating Guinea worm disease — which will be only the second human disease ever eradicated!"

As for how Jimmy and Rosalynn will celebrate the president's 98th birthday, PEOPLE anticipates that they will enjoy a quiet day at home, as they've done for other recent momentous occasions. Seventy-six years into their marriage — "a true power couple," Jason says — the Carters continue to reside in the small town of Plains, Georgia, where the president was born.

Though their lifestyle has slowed a bit in recent years, Jimmy and Rosalynn continue to speak out on important issues while their foundation's team of about 3,000 employees worldwide work on the ground.

In the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Carters were vocal about wearing masks, even encouraging people to reroute their Carter Center donations to groups helping alleviate the suffering of the novel coronavirus. They later appeared in a public service announcement about getting vaccinated alongside the Clintons, Bushes and Obamas. Earlier this year, President Carter warned about threats to American democracy posed by far-right extremists.

'Bros' star Billy Eichner defends the film's raunchy sex scenes: 'Let's all calm down'

American producer, writer, director, actor, and comedian. Bros may not technically be Hollywood's first gay love story — films like Making Love, Jeffrey and Fire Island all precede it — but it's definitely Hollywood's raunchiest gay love story. Co-written and starring comedian Billy Eichner, the big-budget romantic comedy is overseen by producer Judd Apatow and co-writer/director Nicholas Stoller, who are no strangers to including R-rated sex scenes in R-rated rom-coms like The 40-Year-Old Virgin and Forgetting Sarah Marshall. In fact, that's the kind of equal opportunity approach Eichner hoped for when he signed on to work with the duo.

"At the end of the day, it's a Judd Apatow movie and a Nick Stoller movie," he tells Yahoo Entertainment. "Their movies have a long history of sex scenes that are very physical and very funny. And I thought, 'Well, why shouldn't we have the same thing?'" (Watch our video interview above.)

In Bros, Eichner plays unlucky in love podcast host/museum curator Bobbie Lieber, who falls in lust with strapping single guy Aaron (Luke Macfarlane). As the duo embark on a tentative romance, they also open up their sex lives to include hot and heavy threesomes (and foursomes) as well as casual Grindr hook-ups with other people. Capturing that aspect of contemporary LGBTQ life is something that was important for the film's out gay stars, and sets Bros apart from the typical Apatow/Stoller joint, where the central couple tends to be monogamous.

"What's fun — especially for straight audiences — is that whole movie is a throwback to the elements of Apatow movies or romantic comedies that we love, but with this fresh, new and somewhat provocative perspective," notes Eichner. "It's not just your run-of-the mill rom-com."

Adds Macfarlane: "Sex doesn't always have to be sentimental. Especially in a lot of the queer movies that we've seen, sex is treated as a very sentimental thing because it was so frightening to people for a long time. But now we can actually have fun with that."

Those scenes were also an education for Stoller, who cops to being a straight director helming a gay rom-com. "What's funny to me is I approached it the way I approached all the sex scenes I've shot," he says. "My joke with Billy was always, 'The only kind of sex scene I'd be uncomfortable shooting is a sexy sex scene!' I don't know how to do the Adrian Lyne thing. But I didn't really feel like it was any different, weirdly. These are two characters with their own foibles expressing themselves through sex in a funny, relatable way."

Naturally, Bros's central creative team knows that there's a more conservative audience out there who won't find the sex scenes funny or relatable. The film is already getting review bombed on IMDB by homophobic viewers, many of whom haven't even seen the movie, leading Eichner to responded on social media.

Asked how he feels about the possibility that internet trolls might claim that he's "corrupting" America's youth, Eichner says that ship has long since sailed. "The youth has already been corrupted! We lost that battle. They're on social media, and they've been watching porn since they had a phone in their hand. Bros is literally like a Hallmark movie compared to what kids are watching on their phones, so let's all calm down."

Stoller, meanwhile, thinks that those trolls who actually take the time to watch Bros may come out with their attitudes changed. "You can feel the audience falling in love with Luke and Billy as the movie goes on," he notes. "The great thing about comedy is when you're laughing at something, you're relating to it and it's humanizing. That's not why I set out to make the movie, but it's hopefully a side benefit."

Even as Bros represents a breakthrough for gay storytelling at the major studio level, Eichner recognizes that the community he's a part of is far more diverse than the white couple at the heart of the film. To that end, the supporting cast is filled with performers who represent the broader spectrum of LGBTQ life, including former Glee star, Dot-Marie Jones, trans actors Eve Lindley and Ts Madison and gender non-conforming reality show scene-stealer, Miss Lawrence. Jones and Lindley both credit Glee with being one of the first mainstream entertainments to expose audiences to the different colors that make up the famous gay pride rainbow flag.

"I am a product of Glee," says Lindley, adding that next barrier Hollywood can break after Bros is a rom-com starring two trans lovers. "I would love to see that, and I think we are ready." For her part, Jones thinks that both Glee and Bros share the same desire for accurate representation. "Bros brought us together," she says. "It's something I honestly never thought I'd see, and working with these amazing people was the most fun thing ever."

Like Lindley, Miss Lawrence sees a future in which different groups get their turn in the spotlight. "This is the first time we get to explore a gay love story in depth, but it won't stop there. There will and there should be films that show what it looks like to be a trans person in love, to be a gender non-conforming person in love, to be a non-binary person in love. Every type of love story has been told with our straight counterparts, and I want to see that same energy when it comes to LGBTQIA people in this art form."

Speaking of love stories, Bros can't resist lobbing gags in the direction of one of Hollywood's most famous gay romances: Brokeback Mountain, Ang Lee's Oscar-winning 2005 drama starring straight actors, Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal, as doomed lovers. At one point in the movie, Bobbie and Aaron go on a date to see a Brokeback-type tragedy and come out of the theater criticizing it as slow and boring. Eichner and Stoller are quick to say that the characters' review doesn't represent their own feelings about Lee's film.

"Brokeback Mountain is a masterpiece," Eichner raves. "It moved me to tears. No one is arguing how beautiful Heath Ledger's performance is in that movie." [Ledger died in 2008.] "I love that movie," Stoller chimes in. "I hear the score and I start crying."

That said, Brokeback Mountain is also the poster child for the kind of tragic gay romance — one made by a largely straight cast and crew — that Hollywood has too often favored telling at the expense of other stories. "We've watched Brokeback Mountain and we've seen it turn out to be a tragedy," says Madison. "Now we have Bros that shows that there is hope — that there is light at the end of the tunnel."

Eichner made a point of following that light as he crafted Bros for the big screen. "Historically, on the rare occasions where Hollywood did center LGBTQ characters, it was always about suffering," he notes. "We're so tortured, we're dying, we're getting killed! It was so, so sad and always told through the perspective of straight filmmakers and straight movie stars. With Bros, we're saying: 'Hey, can't there be a comedy about our lives?' I just want more movies like this. I think it's cool that we're finally getting to tell our own stories and not having them told for us."

Did Antonio Brown Exposes Himself to Woman in Swimming Pool at Dubai Hotel?

NFL fans are in disbelief after Antonio Brown exposed himself to guests while swimming in a pool at a hotel in Dubai.

According to the New York Post, the incident took place on May 14, while the former All-Pro wide receiver was staying at the Armani Hotel Dubai. The footage, which has since gone viral, shows Brown shoving his backside into the face of a woman, before he lifted up his penis and flashed it in her direction.

“Eyewitnesses said Brown had just met the woman and she was fuming after the encounter,” the Post noted.

Brown took to Twitter on Saturday to respond to the leaked clip, writing, “Every chance they get to sway the heat off themselves they use me. In the video you can clearly see she runs off with my swim trunks. If roles were reversed the headlines would read “AB having a wild night with nude female”.Yet when it’s me it automatically becomes a hate crime.”

He continued, “It’s crazy to me that even after I retire there is disinformation coming out about me. Ironically, during a time when the NFL is getting heat for allowing players to play when they’re clearly concussed. They’ve been using black men as guinea pigs.”

Dwyane Wade Has Restricted Comments on Daughter Zaya’s Instagram for Her Mental Health

*Dwyane Wade has never shied away from publicly expressing his love and support for his daughter Zaya Wade. D Wade spoke up about safeguarding Zaya’s mental health and privacy from internet bullying.

For those of you who are unaware, Dwyane’s 15-year-old daughter Zaya is transgender. She recently hit the modeling scene and frequently uploads her campaigns to the timeline.

However, fans recently noticed that they could no longer comment beneath her post. Dwyane Wade took to Twitter to discuss the decision to restrict comments on Zaya’s Instagram comments.

Wade tweeted, “For Zaya’s mental health and privacy, we’ve decided not to allow the hate into her comments. Thank you for wanting to spread and send her love.”

OK, let’s talk about the replies to D. Wade’s post. There were plenty of fans backing up Wade’s stance and thanking him for putting Zaya’s well-being first.

“PERIOD! And that’s on prioritizing your child’s well-being. She doesn’t need our comments telling us she is non stop serving in every posted photo bc she has a solid, real support system at home and we love to see it,” shared one user.

“As someone who too would love to comment, I wholeheartedly honor & appreciate the way you and Gabby show up 2 protect her. I’m a 20yr member of the ballroom scene & it brings me much joy to see a different and protected life experience for a black girl of trans experience,” tweeted another.

And then there were others who took the opportunity to assure Wade that his daughter has a community of internet supporters who are more than happy to support her.

“LOVE this protection for baby girl. I’m hope she knows she has a whole online community of support from a lot of us on here regardless,” tweeted one user.

“This is how you parent. A lot of people could learn how to safeguard their children like Dwyane Wade does,” wrote another.

Prince’s Personal Photographer Loses Lawsuit Over Prince Photographs

A federal appeals court recently ruled that a marketer had an implied copyright license to distribute marketing materials that contained photographic images of the late recording artist Prince taken by Prince’s longtime photographer.

Allen Beaulieu was Prince’s photographer from 1979 to 1984.  He shot album covers and three world tours for Prince.    In 2014 Beaulieu began working on a book of his photographs.  He hired Thomas Martin Crouse to help write stories and captions and later Clint Stockwell, who worked on scanning and storing digital copies of the photos.

In April 2016, Prince died, leading Crouse and Stockwell to expect that there would be increased interest in Beaulieu’s photographs. In May 2016, Beaulieu gave Stockwell several additional photographs to digitize for inclusion in the book. Stockwell sent an MP4 slideshow of selected photographs and a press release to several investors.

Beaulieu’s collaboration with Stockwell and Crouse fell apart, and Beaulieu demanded his photographs back.   His attorney was able to retrieve some from Stockwell’s home, but Beaulieu believed that Stockwell still retained a large number of them.  He subsequently filed a lawsuit against Crouse, Stockwell, his company, and Charles Sanvik, one of the investors who had received the slideshow and press release.

Beaulieu brought claims for conversion of his property, claiming that Crouse and Stockwell had taken possession of his photographs in a manner that wrongfully deprived Beaulieu of them.  However, Beaulieu could never provide the court with an inventory showing how many photographs he had given to Crouse and Stockwell, how many they had returned to him, or how many he alleged were still in their possession.  For this reason, the district court dismissed his conversion claim, ruling that it was too speculative as to the property he claimed to have been converted.

Beaulieu also brought copyright claims against Stockwell, alleging that Stockwell had copied his photographs without authorization when he had created the MP4 slideshow and press release.  The district court rejected this claim, finding that Beaulieu had granted an implied license to use the photographs for this purpose.   An implied license is one that is not written or given directly but which can be implied from the parties’ course of conduct.  Here, Stockwell had sent the slideshow and press release to Beaulieu ahead of time and described it as part of the book’s marketing plan.  Beaulieu had not objected, and had requested that additional publishers be contacted on his behalf.  Since Beaulieu was found to have granted an implied license for use of the copyrighted photographs through this conduct, his infringement claim was dismissed.  Beaulieu later appealed this issue, but the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals affirmed the district court’s ruling.

Finally, Beaulieu brought a claim for tortious interference with economic advantage.  This claim requires that the “interference” must be “improper,” meaning it must be based on an act recognized by law to be wrongful.  However, because the court had already rejected the conversion claim and the copyright infringement claim, there was no “improper” action, and this claim was also rejected by the district court.

Ed Sheeran’s $100 Million Lawsuit Over ‘Thinking Out Loud’ Headed To Jury Trial

A federal judge has refused to throw out the $100 million lawsuit against Ed Sheeran over whether or not his hit “Thinking Out Loud” stole pieces of Marvin Gaye’s “Let’s Get It On.” Instead, the long-running case will proceed to a jury.

Judge Louis Stanton ruled Thursday that there was “no bright-line rule” for deciding the issues; instead, a jury will need to weigh in.

“There is no bright-line rule that the combination of two unprotectable elements is insufficiently numerous to constitute an original work,” Judge Stanton wrote. “A work may be copyrightable even though it is entirely a compilation of unprotectable elements.”

Billboard reports that the case will now head to trial in a Manhattan federal courthouse sometime in the future. No date has been set.

The lawsuit was first filed in 2016 by the estate of the song’s late co-writer, Ed Townsend. The suit was later dismissed but revived when Townsend’s family sold a third of their share of “Let’s Get It On” to Structured Asset Sales.

Sheeran is no stranger to copyright infringement claims. The singer and his co-writers, Steve McCutcheon and Snow Patrol’s Johnny McDaid, won their plagiarism lawsuit regarding the hit record “Shape Of You.” They were accused of stealing Sami Chokri and Ross O’Donoghue’s “Oh Why.”

Sheeran was awarded more than $1 million in legal fees.
