#FASHIONFAB: HOT or NOT?  Keke Palmer in Prada at the NOPE Rome Premiere

KeKe Palmer attended the premiere for NOPE in Rome Italy. The color looks stunning and the design is about as classic as a red carpet gown gets. As always, we love the hair. The gloves are great too,

Regardless, she looks great here. So what do you think

#RHOA: Todd Tucker Responds to Marlo Hampton's Shade Toward Him on RHOA

Things have been a bit tense between Kandi Burruss and Marlo Hampton in Season 14 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta (more on this in The Real Housewives of Atlanta After Show above). Marlo, in particular, had a lot to say about Kandi while speaking with Shereรฉ Whitfield earlier this season, including claiming that Kandi "always gotta date underneath your tax bracket."

Kandi was asked for her reaction to that comment during her appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on July 24. "I've been with my husband for 10 years. She doesn't need to bring up anybody past then. Since Todd [Tucker] and I been together, I have not been with another man since the day I met him," Kandi explained. "So all that stuff she wants to talk about in the past, that's so far behind me. I don't even remember them."

Kandi then called Marlo out for not sharing about her love life. "I'm like, girl, like, you need to be talking about who you dating," Kandi said. "We never get to see him."

Andy Cohen pointed out to Todd, who was sitting in the audience during this episode of WWHL, that Marlo "seems like she's got a thing about you this season" since we have heard her make comments about Kandi's husband in Season 14. "Yeah, it's like that little sister that just, you know, she don't know when to stop," Todd told Andy of his reaction to Marlo this season of RHOA.

Marlo's comments about Todd will come up later on this season of RHOA, and Kandi teased that we'll see her and her husband have very different reactions to it all. "Todd has looked out for Marlo in the past, and so, I did not like it at all," Kandi said. "So that's what really, really made me hot."

Something that Todd has been decidedly much less cool with was the idea of Kandi acting in sex scenes with other men as she pursues more movie and TV projects. Well, one of Kandi's co-stars, Curtiss Cook, was in the same room with Todd during Sunday night's WWHL, appearing as the guests bartender. Curtiss plays Douda, the estranged husband of Kandi's character, Roselyn, on The Chi.

Todd and Curtiss confirmed that they have met before and are cool with one another, which prompted Andy to remind everyone that "Todd was not thrilled" when Kandi told him she would be filming sex scenes in her acting career. "Oh my god, you love being shady!" Kandi told the WWHL host. "Andy, first of all, they are cool. I mean, you know, it's a TV show. It takes time for my husband to get used to it."

However, Todd noted, "You never get used to it."

#HipHopNews: Will.I.Am Says He Doesn't Like Tupac Or Biggie: 'That Music Doesn't Speak To My Spirit'

will.i.am is not a Tupac or Biggie fan. The Black Eyed Peas frontman has revealed that when it comes to the two rap legends, he prefers neither. In an interview with Skillz, which went viral a year after it was released, will.i.am explained why he doesn’t have a connection to either icon.

“I’m such a Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul head that I don’t like Tupac and Biggie. That kinda music doesn’t speak to my spirit,” he told Skillz during his “Hip-Hop Confessions” podcast.

Instead, he credits acts like KRS-One and Eric B. & Rakim for inspiring him. “If it’s Tupac and Biggie, I don’t hold them up like that. I hold Eric B., Rakim up like that. Tupac’s dope, don’t get me wrong. It’s not that I don’t think he’s dope,” he said. “My escape is De La, Tribe out the projects. It took me out of the projects while I was still in the projects.”

As a young MC growing up in the Estrada Courts housing projects of Boyle Heights, will was looking for an escape. “That was my path out. It kept me safe while I was in the projects,” he said. “Had I loved Tupac and Biggie while I was in the projects, I probably would have been stuck in the projects.”

Back in 1992, another legend, the late Eazy-E, signed will.i.am and apl.de.ap to Ruthless Records as part of the group Atban Klann.

“We were signed to Ruthless Records in 1992 because the great Eazy-E looked at us as his Digable Planets,” will told BET in a 2015 interview. “That was his whole premise. He would tell us, ‘Yo, you guys can be A Tribe Called Quest and Digables except from the West Coast.'”

Atban Klann was dropped from Ruthless after Eazy-E’s death in 1995. Will eventually went on to form the Black Eyed Peas, adding Taboo and later Fergie to the group.

Usher to Executive Produce New Orleans-Set Jazz Age Series ‘Storyville’ From Starlings TV

Usher has signed on to executive produce “Storyville,” a new series about the birth of the Jazz Age in development from Starlings Television. The multi-Grammy Award-winning performer will exec produce along with creators and showrunners Bill Macdonald (“Rome”) and Walt Becker (“Wild Hogs”).

“Storyville” is set in New Orleans and follows the tale of five brothel madams as they fight to control the red light district. The show reps the first series drama to be exec produced by Usher, whose TV credits include serving as a judge on NBC’s “The Voice.”

“’Storyville’ is an epic tale sparked by the origins of the sound that inspired my career – a story that touches the nerve of social and cultural relevance today,” Usher said in a statement.

Starlings TV President/EP Chris Philip and CEO Karine Martin will also executive produce the series with Becker, Macdonald, Usher and Marcus Morton, with whom they initially developed the project.

“Usher’s massive global appeal, musical and acting genius will propel this unique and compelling original series into must-see viewing worldwide,” Philip said. “His invaluable creative and musical contributions to Storyville fulfill our vision of contrasting the gritty, sometimes brutal sides of New Orleans life with it giving birth to a beautiful, diverse and defining new artform.”

“Storyville” which will be targeted for global sale much like its current slate, which includes the thriller drama “Departure,” which airs on Peacock in the U.S., and the young adult sci-fi actioner “Pandora,” which has aired for two seasons on The CW and is entering its third season around the world. Starlings is also behind “Sherlock’s Daughter,” from EP/showrunner James Duff (“The Closer”) and creator/writer Brendan Foley (“Cold Courage”); and “Shadowland,” along with Athena Pictures. Jacqui Barcos created that series, which has been sold to global streamer Viaplay in multiple territories.

Barbara Goicoechea and Bruce Orosz will serve as consultants “Storyville.” Usher is repped by Patriot Management and WME; Macdonald by Gersh; and Walt Becker by A3 Artists and Lubir Roklin. Usher was represented by Kenny Meiselas of Grubman Shire Meiselas & Sacks in the deal.

Dallas airport accused shooter has lengthy criminal record, claimed to be Chris Brown's wife, 'God's prophet'

Dallas police chief provides update on Love Field Airport shooting

Dallas Police Chief Eddie Garcia says a female shooter opened fire inside Love Field Airport. The suspect was wounded and take into custody and no one else was hurt, according to police.

NEW

You can now listen to Fox News articles!

The accused female shooter at Dallas Love Field Airport has a lengthy criminal record and had previously told police that she was "God’s prophet" and was married to R&B singer-songwriter Chris Brown.

Over the past several years, 37-year-old Portia Odufuwa has faced charges including arson, robbery, criminal trespass and false reporting in cities across North Texas.

But in many of those incidents, judges deemed her incompetent to stand trial, she was referred to either or both inpatient or outpatient mental health services, and the cases were dismissed, The Dallas Morning News has reported. And as recently as last summer, a Dallas County judge ruled she was not a danger to others.

Before she allegedly changed clothes in the airport bathroom, pulled out a gun near a ticketing counter and opened fire into the ceiling at about 11 a.m. Monday, court records show Odufuwa had allegedly pulled a gun on a hotel front desk clerk in April 2021 at a time when she was homeless.

The woman provided the address of rapper Chris Brown’s mansion to police after the incident, but Dallas County Judge Kristin Wade dismissed the false report case by November even though Odufuwa "did not successfully complete the program" when deemed incompetent to stand trial, according to county court records reviewed by the newspaper. She was supposed to continue mental health services elsewhere.

In October 2019, Odufuwa was arrested in Mesquite, Texas, when officers responded to a house fire, and the woman, who was found standing outside watching the flames, reportedly told police she intentionally set it ablaze and had returned after doing so several times before without ever successfully fully burning the residence where she once lived to the ground.

"I am God’s prophet, and I need an attorney, but I’m basically letting you all know that I am the cause of this fire," she told responding officers, according to court records.

Odufuwa also allegedly told police that she would not give more details until she could speak with her husband, whom she identified as Brown. She was not married to the rapper.

In April 2019, Odufuwa was accused of a bank robbery in Wylie, Texas, after waltzing into a Bank of America and displaying a note demanding an undisclosed amount of money.

Customers were evacuated to a safe location, and officers caught up with Odufuwa nearby as she attempted to flee the scene.

The woman was found incompetent for trial and underwent inpatient and outpatient treatment.

Crowds of travelers either fled or ducked for cover when Odufuwa opened fire at the airport Monday, according to reports.

An officer already in the non-secure area by a ticket counter engaged the suspect, shooting her in the lower extremities, Dallas police said. Odufuwa was taken into custody and brought to a nearby hospital.

No travelers or police officers were hurt in the incident, which still resulted in TSA having to evacuate all travelers from the terminals and late re-screening everyone, causing major delays.

Shahs of Sunset 's Mike Shouhed Charged With Domestic Violence

Mike Shouhed's legal woes continue. The Shahs of Sunset alum is now facing 14 criminal charges, including domestic violence, according to legal documents obtained by E! News. Filed on July 20, the charges—all of which he has plead not guilty to—come approximately four months after he was arrested and booked on an unspecified felony charge.

Shouhed's attorney, Alex Kessel, denied allegations pertaining to domestic violence after the reality star's March 27 arrest. In a statement to E! News on April 4, he said, "At this time, the only comment I can make with confidence is my client in no way committed any act of domestic violence and the truth will prevail."

Shouhed's alleged victim has not been publicly identified, but Joshua Ritter, an attorney for Shouhed's fiancรฉe, Paulina Ben-Cohen, issued a statement to E! News on July 26 in response to the case's latest development. "Paulina's primary focus is on keeping herself and her children safe," Ritter said. "She supports the work that the police and the City Attorney's Office have done and she continues to cooperate with them, while looking forward to putting this sad situation behind her and moving on with her life."

Ritter provided E! News with a similar statement in April, noting that he and Ben-Cohen were, at the time, "working with the authorities to seek a just and fair outcome to this sad situation."

Shouhed was initially taken into custody on March 27 and charged around 1:05 a.m. the following day, according to records for the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department. Hours later, he paid his $50,000 bond and was released.

Now, Shouhed's not only facing a domestic violence charge, but a slew of misdemeanors as well. These include intimidating a witness or victim and criminal storage of a firearm, among other charges.

Shahs of Sunset fans were first introduced to Shouhed during the Bravo series' inaugural season. He remained a recurring cast member through season nine, the last to air before the show was placed on an "indefinite pause," as a source told E! News on April 7.

E! News has reached out to Shouhed's lawyer for comment.

‘The View’ Eyes Alyssa Farah Griffin as New Co-Host, Wanted to Avoid Having ‘Another Meghan McCain’ at the Table

Alyssa Farah Griffin is reportedly all set to fill Meghan McCain’s vacant seat at ‘The View.’

via Page Six:

“They did not want another Meghan McCain,” multiple sources told Page Six.

On Tuesday, all fingers pointed to Griffin as the new co-host to join Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sara Haines, Sunny Hostin and Ana Navarro at the table.

A spokesperson was coy about the decision, telling us, “We do not have a co-host announcement to make at this time,” but insiders told Page Six Griffin is a favorite among the other hosts and ABC brass.

“Alyssa has a lot of fans at ABC and [ABC News president] Kim Godwin likes her,” one source said.

Griffin was one of several rotating co-hosts who filled in this season after McCain’s untoward exit from the show last summer.

As Page Six reported at length, McCain had a reputation for inspiring tension and conflict both on air and behind the scenes, which divided viewers and wasn’t good for morale on set.

“She adds a nice dynamic to the table and good conversation,” they said about Griffin.

Still, it’s been a tough year finding the right conservative fit for the show in a post-Donald Trump era, they claim. Comedian Wanda Sykes reportedly pulled out of an appearance after her publicist learned that Griffin, a former Trump press aide, would be a part of the panel.

“[The show has] have a good chunk of conservative viewers, so they need that balance – especially because they tend to slant in the other direction,” the first source admitted.

They added that producers hope Griffin will become a fan favorite like past right-wing host Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Christian conservative Candace Cameron Bure.

“People loved them – viewers, audience members and the hosts. They hope to recreate that,” the source said.

And, “they want young! A young, palatable conservative.”…What’s that?

Earlier in the day, the Uncoupled cast, including Marcia Gay Harden, were spotted at the SiriusXM Studios for a Town Hall event.

But when Colin unexpectedly moves out on the eve of his 50th birthday, Michael is completely blindsided. Overnight, he has to confront two nightmares: losing the man he thought was his soulmate, and suddenly finding himself a single gay man in his mid-forties in New York City.”

Chris Cuomo To Host New Primetime Show For NewsNation After Firing From CNN

Chris Cuomo will be making his return to TV sooner than you know it.

The former CNN newscaster has accepted a position with NewsNation, TV Line reports.

Chris will start working with NewsNation as the host for a primetime show just seven months following his firing.

If you’re unfamiliar, NewsNation is an upstart cable news network, formerly known as WGN America.

“Chris joins our growing team of seasoned, award-winning journalists and will further our efforts to continue to ensure fairness and transparency in our news reporting and talk shows,” Nexstar Media president of networks Sean Compton said in a statement.

In a statement of his own, Chris added, “NewsNation believes in the work I am doing with the Chris Cuomo Project and I look forward to building something special here — covering news wherever it happens and having conversations that cater to common concerns and solutions rather than political parties or the political circus.”

Chris was fired from CNN just last year, for allegedly helping his brother, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, amid his sexual harassment scandal.

Drake Clears Up Claims He Took A 14-Minute Flight On His Private Jet: ‘Nobody Takes That Flight’

Ever since reports asserted that Kylie Jenner had taken trips on her private jet as short as 12 minutes, there have been a few other celebs who have been called out — including Drake. Earlier this week, it was revealed that the “One Dance” rapper had taken his $185 million Air Drake plane for multiple journeys between Toronto and Hamilton.

The spacious aircraft is said to have made these trips at least four times since June, and despite the short distance (which would have been an estimated 40-minute drive), Air Drake would have emitted at least four tons of carbon dioxide emissions, with a cost of an estimated $2,800 on fuel. But the Canadian-born appeared to have had a good reason as to why the plane was off the ground for no more than 12 minutes at times.

Drake gave his response via Instagram, explaining that the aircraft is usually flown back to a certain location where it’s stored until he wants to use it for his next flight; the plane doesn’t simply remain at the airport it arrived at. “This is just them moving planes to whatever airport they are being stored at, for anyone who was interested in the logistics,” the 35-year-old reacted. “Nobody takes that flight.

This, of course, begs the question of whether Kylie was in a similar situation when she was slammed for using her private jet to fly around Los Angeles. The logged flights from Kylie’s jet showed her aircraft had made trips for 12 minutes, which would be around 40 to 50 minutes if she had taken her car.

The cosmetics mogul chose not to respond to the heavy backlash she received for the controversy which erupted last week, but in true KarJenner style, the mother-of-two simply avoided mentioning what social media users had hoped a clarification on why her plane was making roundtrips for a short number of minutes.

While Kylie is entitled to spend her money how she pleases, according to BuzzFeed News, some people on Twitter began calling her a “full-time climate criminal,” who was only adding to the problem of the global climate crisis.

“@KylieJenner read the room. Our planet is dying, climate change is a real issue,” one person wrote while another added, “Famous people are so OUT of touch with reality, like, how did she not think she’d get backlash for that.”

Another Twitter user added, “Kylie Jenner: full time climate criminal. These jets should never be allowed to take off. The hourly carbon footprint of most private jets is larger than the average annual carbon footprint for one American btw.”

GOP lawmaker attended gay son's wedding 3 days after voting against same-sex marriage

A Republican lawmaker attended his gay son’s wedding just three days after joining the majority of his GOP colleagues in voting against a House bill that would codify federal protections for same-sex marriage.

The gay son of Rep. Glenn Thompson, R-Pa., confirmed to NBC News on Monday that he “married the love of [his] life” on Friday and that his “father was there.” NBC News is not publishing the names of the grooms, neither of whom is a public figure.

Thompson’s press secretary, Maddison Stone, also confirmed the congressman was in attendance.

“Congressman and Mrs. Thompson were thrilled to attend and celebrate their son’s marriage on Friday night as he began this new chapter in his life,” Stone said in an email, adding that the Thompsons are “very happy” to welcome their new son-in-law “into their family.”

Gawker was the first to report on the nuptials in an article published Thursday, the day before the ceremony, though it was not reported whether the lawmaker would attend.

In an email last week to the local newspaper Centre Daily, Stone called the Respect for Marriage Act “nothing more than an election-year messaging stunt for Democrats in Congress who have failed to address historic inflation and out of control prices at gas pumps and grocery stores.”

Thompson, who represents the state’s 15th congressional district, was one of 157 House Republicans who voted against the bill on Tuesday. However, 47 of his GOP colleagues joined Democrats to pass the bipartisan measure following fears that existing same-sex marriage protections could be in the crosshairs of the conservative-leaning Supreme Court.

The Respect for Marriage Act is now being considered by the Senate, where 10 GOP lawmakers must join all 50 Democrats to send the legislation to the desk of President Joe Biden. One of five Republican senators who has already confirmed a yes vote on the bill is Rob Portman of Ohio, who declared his support for same-sex marriage in 2013 after his son came out as gay.

The bill comes at a time when 71% of Americans, including a majority of Republicans, supports same-sex marriage, according to a Gallup poll last month.

While support for same-sex marriage has grown among Republican voters and some Republican lawmakers, the most recent Republican National Committee platform — enacted in 2016 and renewed in 2020 — includes at least five references to marriage as exclusively between a man and a woman.

Tony Dow, Who Played Wally Cleaver on ‘Leave It to Beaver,’ Still Alive Despite Representatives Confirming Death

Update: The New York Times has reported that the statement Dow’s representatives released to Facebook was inaccurate and he is still alive. In addition to the Facebook post, Variety ran the obituary after confirming the death with Dow’s team. Variety has reached out to his reps again for further comment.

The family’s most recent Facebook message, from his son Christopher Dow, reads, “This is a difficult time. Dad is at home, under hospice care, and in his last hours. My wife and I are by his side along with many friends that have visited. He has a fighting heart.”

Good Girls Cancellation Controversy Resurfaces as Retta Declares: 'One Person Ruined It for All Cast and Crew'

Good Girls actress Retta is still self-admittedly “salty” over the show’s 2021 cancellation — and she’s now hinting at who’s to blame for its demise.

On Monday’s episode of Live With Kelly and Ryan, Retta revealed that although Good Girls was “very close” to locking down a Season 5 renewal, “one person ruined it for all of cast and crew, and so it’s not back.”

Co-host Kelly Ripa then asked if said person could simply be let go from the show, to which Retta replied with a laugh, “I think it was a little too close to when [the writers] would have to start [Season 5 scripts] and figure out story, so… no. Trust me, Kelly, I’m salty!”

Retta did not name the responsible colleague in question.

As reported last July, the NBC dramedy was closing in on a Season 5 pickup, with Retta, Christina Hendricks and Mae Whitman all agreeing to take pay cuts for a truncated final run. But negotiations with Manny Montana — who played fan favorite Rio — reportedly went less smoothly: Some theorized that Montana’s strained working relationship with on-again/off-again scene partner Hendricks may have been a factor, making the actor less willing to take the kind of financial hit NBC was asking of him. (A rep for Montana declined to comment at the time. TVLine reached out to the actor again in light of Retta’s remarks, and he similarly had no comment.)

Universal Television ultimately opted to pull the plug. Retta, meanwhile, told Ripa and Ryan Seacrest on Monday that she had some ideas of her own regarding how Unnamed Cast Member could have been written out.

“I was literally like, ‘OK, maybe there was a bomb scare at some point, and then a bomb actually went off, and that’s why that person’s gone,'” she pitched.

Jim Harbaugh and Wife Willing to Raise Baby If Michigan Players or Staff Experience Unplanned Pregnancy

Wolverines football coach Jim Harbaugh reiterated his stance on abortion rights last week during an anti-choice fundraising event that took place in Plymouth, Michigan.

“I believe in having the courage to let the unborn be born,” Harbaugh said at the Plymouth Right to Life event, per ESPN. “I love life. I believe in having a loving care and respect for life and death. My faith and my science are what drive these beliefs in me.”

On Monday, in a new wide-ranging interview with ESPN’s Gene Wojciechowski, 58-year-old Harbaugh further discussed his beliefs, revealing he and his wife would help raise the baby of any Michigan player or staff member who has an unplanned pregnancy.

“I’ve told [them] the same thing I tell my kids, boys, the girls, same thing I tell our players, our staff members,” he explained. “I encourage them if they have a pregnancy that wasn’t planned, to go through with it, go through with it. Let that unborn child be born, and if at that time, you don’t feel like you can care for it, you don’t have the means or the wherewithal, then Sarah and I will take that baby.”

Harbaugh added, “Any player on our team, any female staff member or any staff member or anybody in our family or our extended family…that doesn’t feel like after they have a baby they can take care of it, we got a big house. We’ll raise that baby.”

The Michigan coach went on to say he respects different viewpoints when it comes to abortion rights but that abortion is a direly serious subject.

“It’s a life-or-death type of issue,” he shared. “And I believe in, and I respect, people’s views. But let’s hear them. Let’s discuss them because there’s passion on both sides of this issue. So when you combine that with respect, that’s when the best results come. … [I’m] just contributing to that conversation and that communication, which I think is really important, in my opinion.”

Kim K, Kylie Jenner Urge IG to ‘Stop Trying to Be TikTok’ in ‘Make Instagram Instagram Again’ Posts, CEO Responds

Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner have joined in the calls urging Instagram to stop mimicking TikTok’s focus on video-oriented content and asking the Meta-owned platform to return to prioritizing photos.

Both sisters posted the same message for their 687 million cumulative followers on their IG Stories:  “Make Instagram Instagram Again.”

The post continues, “Stop trying to be TikTok I just want to see cute photos of my friends. Sincerely, Everyone.”

The message serves as the lead image on a Change.org petition that Jenner and Kardashian reposted to their Stories. It launched on July 22 and had fewer than 100,000 signatures before the sisters’ reshare. As of this publication, the petition has shot up to more than 150,500 signees.

Mark Zuckerberg, head of Meta, which owns IG, has been aggressively pushing the app to focus on more short-video content in order to compete with TikTok, and many users have not responded well to the change. Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri released a video on Tuesday to respond to the growing backlash.

“I’m hearing a lot of concerns about right now about photos and how we’re shifting to video,” he said. “Now, I want to be clear, we’re gonna continue to support photos. It’s part of our heritage. … That said, I need to be honest: I do believe that more and more of Instagram is going to become video over time. We see this even if we do nothing. … So we’re gonna have to lean into that shift.”

Mosseri went on to say the app will continue to support photos but that its pivot to video-focused content is the result of what people are liking, sharing, and consuming. He also added that IG’s new full-screen version of the feed is just a test and admitted it’s “not yet good.”

Plenty of users aren’t satisfied with Mosseri’s response. ″Stop making everything reels,” one person wrote on Twitter. “You’re making everyone from journalists, content creators, CEOs, and celebrities agree. It’s now an app for everything you’re advertising, not of my friends and people I think are cool.”“When is Instagram going to accept that not all creators are video creators? Graphic designers, photographers, and other visual artists helped build IG and rely on it to share their work,” another user tweeted. “And now you’re screwing them over to become a 15 sec video streaming site ppl can’t control.”

Balenciaga Creative Director, Demna, Says The Yeezy Gap X Balenciaga Collaboration Is Over

Over the weekend, Kanye heads flooded Gap stores around the country after it was announced that the Yeezy Gap x Balenciaga collection would be making its way into stores. Gap’s flagship store in New York City was the first to offer the collection, followed by the rest of the country on Saturday, July 23rd. Vans carrying the merch even popped up in Miami, Los Angeles, and Chicago.

The release of this collection has Kanye fans wondering what the future looks like for the Yeezy Gap partnership. According to Balenciaga’s creative director, Demna, the future of Yeezy Gap will continue without Balenciaga. The designer announced on Monday, July 25, that the Yeezy Gap x Balenciaga partnership is over.

In a statement to eh New York Times, Demna said that the partnership was just step #1 of Ye’s plan for the brand. “This was just step No. 1. He needed a starting point, and that was my challenge: to give him the starting point. But he is still miles and miles away from where he wants this to go,” Demna said.

Ye’s partnership with Gap is a part of his plan to make egalitarian clothing. Ever since his Adidas deal, and even as recent as his now legendary Drink Champs interview, Kanye has stated multiple times that he is against exclusivity and wants everybody who wants a pair of Yeezys or an article of his clothing to be able to have it.

In regards to how successful the Yeezy Gap partnership has been, Kanye took to Instagram where he revealed that he has set the two biggest sales days in Gap history with the release of the “Perfect Hoodie.”

“We’ve had 2 of the biggest sales day in Gap history since I’ve been there. We sold 14 million dollars worth of the perfect black hoodie at 80 dollars a hoodie off of a television commercial that was ran one time. I came to Gap to bring good quality products to the people at all times. Bob I need to meet with you as soon as possible,” Ye said on IG.

Fat Joe defends Dave Chappelle against LGBTQ protesters

Fat Joe defended his friend and comedian Dave Chappelle, who continues to face backlash from the LGBTQ+ community. The Bronx rapper told TMZ that people need to “take the time out and laugh.” He told the outlet, “They love him. Everybody gotta take the time out and laugh. When it’s a comedian we look at it as fun humor laughter. Of course there’s some sensitive issues that our brothers and sisters in the LGBTQ+ community are facing which is fear, people beating ’em up for no reason. All types of things that are happening to ’em unfairly, but I don’t think Dave Chappelle making fun of them or me, I just laugh, you know? And I take it for what it is.”

The Terror Squad head honcho continued saying comedians poke fun at everyone. He said, “You mess around and walk into the comedy club after they already started and you try to get to your seat, they gonna tear you up for about a half hour…I think comedy has always been a relief. It’s always made fun of everything. Sometimes it’s too soon…but other than that, I love comedy. I love to laugh and that’s the beauty of comedy…he’s just being a comedian.”

Chappelle was scheduled to perform at the iconic First Avenue last week in Minneapolis. But the venue was changed to the Varsity Theater due to complaints about protests from the city’s LGTBQ+ community. The First Avenue released an official statement on their Twitter. The company wrote, “We are not just a black box with people in it, and we understand that First Ave is not just a room, but meaningful beyond our walls. The First Avenue team and you have worked hard to make our venues the safest spaces in the country, and we will continue with that mission. We believe in diverse voices and the freedom of artistic expression, but in honoring that, we lost sight of the impact this would have. We know there are some who will not agree with this decision, you are welcome to send feedback.”

Chappelle faced ongoing criticism from the LGTBQ community after the Netflix special, The Closer, was released. He joked about a transgender person and the backlash against DaBaby for the homophobic remarks he made at the Rolling Loud festival in Miami last year.

Eddie Murphy To Star In Prime Video’s Holiday Comedy ‘Candy Cane Lane’

It’s already feeling like Christmas with news of comedian Eddie Murphy being set to star in Prime Video’s holiday comedy "Candy Cane Lane." This is one of three films Murphy will star in for Amazon Studios under his new film deal.

“Candy Cane Lane” is a holiday comedy directed by Reginald Hudlin, and starring Eddie Murphy. This movie will be produced by Murphy, alongside Brain Grazer, Karen Lunder, and Charisse Hewitt-Webster. The film reunites Murphy, Hudlin, and Grazer, who were a part of the 1992 hit “Boomerang.”

Hudlin stated, “The holiday season is my favorite time of year—just ask my family about my nine-hour Christmas playlist. I‘m excited to be working again with Eddie Murphy, Brian Grazer, and Amazon.”

Though the movie’s plot is still under wraps, the script was written by Kelly Younger and is inspired by the writer’s childhood holiday experiences.

“Candy Cane Lane” is one of three movies Eddie Murphy will star in under a deal with Amazon Studios.

This deal came after “Coming 2 America” was displayed on Amazon Prime, becoming the #1 streaming movie on its opening weekend.

Kevin Hart gives homeless jokester $500 before entering strip club

Kevin Hart doled out $500 to a homeless man before hosting a party at Sapphire 39.WireImage

Kevin Hart was feeling generous after performing a show at the Barclays Center on the “Only Headliners Allowed” comedy tour that he’s doing with Chris Rock.

The funny man made the night of local “famous homeless” man, Julio, when he gave him $500 on his way into Herald’s Square jiggle joint Sapphire 39.

Julio apparently isn’t your average panhandler. We’re told he earns his bread with his own al fresco stand-up act. “He was telling jokes while Kevin was walking,” the source said, adding that he enjoyed the show enough to hand over the wad of cash.

Hart arrived hand-in-hand with his wife Eniko and “was in a great mood, taking pictures and chatting it up with everyone,” we’re told.

Hart’s comedy partner bestie Rock, who has been hanging out with Lake Bell, did not show up to the club.

Still, Hart had plenty of other famous friends by his side. Inside, he partied with rapper Fabolous, Maino and Young MC, who performed his 1989 hit “Bust A Move.” Hart, of course, “was busting a move” according to spies in the club.

Meanwhile, his generosity didn’t stop at Julio. We’re told Hart brought his own Gran Coramino tequila to the bash and even gave free bottles to patrons at other tables. The comedian also “spent over $10,000 throwing singles into the crowd and tipping the dancers,” the insider shared.

Naturally, Hart closed the place down. He and his crew didn’t leave the strip spot until after 4 a.m., we’re told.

Klondike Discontinues Choco Taco After 40-Year Run

Choco Taco, the Klondike taco-shaped ice cream cone treat, will no longer be served after July. The company has decided to discontinue the delicious snack after a nearly 40-year run.

According to the company, the frozen treat consisting of vanilla ice cream in a waffle cone partially covered with milk chocolate and topped with peanuts was discontinued after the demand for it declined.

“Over the past 2 years, we have experienced an unprecedented spike in demand across our portfolio and have had to make very tough decisions to ensure availability of our full portfolio nationwide,” a Klondike Brand spokesperson wrote in an email.

“We know this may be very disappointing.”

Some went on social media to express their disappointment with the news.

Alexis Ohanian, who is an internet entrepreneur and also the co-founder of Reddit, tweeted an offer to Unilever, the company that owns Klondike, with a proposal to save the treat.

“Dear @unilever — I’d like to buy the rights to your Choco Taco and keep it from melting away from future generations’ childhoods,” he wrote.

Others, including Democratic operative Tim Hogan, who also serves as communications director for Sen. Amy Klobuchar’s presidential campaign, were at a loss for words.

“I … this cannot be real.”

Washington State Man Charged After Threatening To Kill Black Shoppers At A Buffalo Grocery Store

A Washington state man has been charged after he reportedly threatened to shoot Black people shopping at a Tops grocery store in Buffalo, New York.

The Black community is continuously in the process of healing following the slew of domestic terrorist attacks made against us. Back in May, a domestic terrorist slaughtered several people shopping at a Tops supermarket in a predominately Black neighborhood.

Just two months after the mass shooting, calls from a man threatening to kill Black people at another Tops location, and a nearby store, were reported. The calls came in on July 19 and 20. NPR reports the man who called was identified as 37-year-old Joey David George. NPR obtained a federal criminal complaint that stated George used the name Peter when making the calls.

When he called the store, he said he would “make the news if he shot and killed all of the Black people, including all of the women, children and babies.” He also asked a Tops employee if the store was being cleared out, claiming that he may already be in the establishment or “somewhere nearby.” He also asked how many Black people were in the store.

He added that if no one were at the store, then he’d move on to Jefferson Avenue Tops location – where the mass shooter murdered 10 people in May.

“The Buffalo community is trying to heal from the horrific shooting at a Tops grocery store. I cannot imagine the type of fear such hate fueled threats engendered in those just trying to go about their daily lives, said U.S. Attorney Nick Brown.  “We cannot tolerate this kind of hate in our community and will not sit by while people seek to terrorize others across our country.”

George has since been arrested and charged with two counts of interstate threats. NPR reports George previously made calls, threatening to shoot Black and Brown customers who were eating at a restaurant.
