#RHOA: Kandi Burruss Questions If Sheree Whitfield's Ex Tyrone Gilliams Helped Fund Her Lavish Lifestyle

The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kandi Burruss has not been feeling the conversations her fellow housewives have been having behind her back, namely Marlo Hampton and Sheree Whitfield. Hampton called Burruss promiscuous says she doesn't do enough charity work, while also talking about her marriage to Whitfield. On more than one occasion, Hampton has been accusing Burruss of taking care of Todd Tucker, with Whitfield in agreeance. Burruss is shooting back at both women.

After watching the latest episode of the show, Burruss has some questions about Whitfield's finances and how she's been able to keep up such a fabulous lifestyle years after not being a figure on the show. She even questions if Whitfield's ex Tyrone Gilliams paid for her gorgeous home.

During her recent YouTube show, 'Speak on It,' Burruss recapped the latest episode of 'The Real Housewives of Atlanta' and raised some questions about Whitfield.

In one scene, Whitfield mentions that it costs her about $40,000 to decorate her living room, noting that just one of her chandeliers cost 10,000. Burruss wants to know where the money to fund such came from.

"Sherre wasn't on our show for a lot of seasons so I hate to ask this question, but I gotta ask when she starts talking about all the money that she paid for the $10,000 chandelier, the $7,000...was this Tyrone paying for all of this?" Burruss asked.

She continued: “Where did the money come from to pay for all of these things? Was it a secret boo that we don’t know about? Cause she said she was holding on for Tyrone the whole time she was getting her house done.”

Burruss went on to say how fabulous the house is with all the “bells and whistles.” She added,”I’m just speaking for the people cause the people to want to know.”

A music video for “Friends,” which was shot in the middle of the California desert during a sandstorm, is set to debut next week.

Additionally, Monica has been recording her first country album Open Roads, executive produced by Brandi Carlile.

#HipHopNews: The Game Reveals 'Drillmatic' Release Date, Cover Art

After a series of delays, The Game has announced that his 10th studio album Drillmatic – Heart Vs. Mind will finally arrive on Friday, Aug. 12. The long-awaited project, which he previously declared his “best album to date,” was executive produced by Hit-Boy and co-executive produced by Kanye West, among others.

Along with the release date, he shared the new artwork, shot by 36neex, which finds the Compton rapper sitting on a burning couch on the beach while getting his hair braided.

The 30-track album was supposed to arrive earlier this year, but was pushed back several times due to sample clearance issues.

“My apologies for the delay but fans sometimes don’t understand how hard it is behind the scenes trying to clear samples on over 30 records & to get publishing splits, agreements, mixes approved, featured artists agreements & a million other things done in order to have a clean, flawless album put together & released,” Game told fans.

But he promises it will be worth the wait. “What I can guarantee you is that I personally put my heart & soul into this album from beginning to the end & anyone who’s come by my studio or heard this album will tell you that it is everything you expected it to be,” he said. “Everyone also wanted me to not put 30 songs on my album which again held us up due to the amount of music I’m pushing out but I felt & always feel my fans deserve more. This date gives me time to properly set up, get visually prepared & present to you another classic.”

He previously revealed that JAY-Z cleared seven samples for the album. He also shared some of the features including Kanye West, Lil Wayne, G Herbo, and NBA YoungBoy, plus a collaboration with Chris Brown and ChlΓΆe Bailey that samples Janet Jackson’s “Got ’til It’s Gone.”

Drillmatic, which follows 2019’s Born 2 Rap, previously spawned tracks including “Eazy” with Ye and the Hit-Boy-produced “Violence.”

#BoxOfficeNews: ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’ Rules Again With $46 Million as ‘Where the Crawdads Sing’ Beats Expectations

Marvel’s “Thor: Love and Thunder” managed to fend off three new nationwide releases to remain the No. 1 movie in North America.

Though ticket sales for “Thor” cratered in its second weekend, falling by 68% to $46 million from 4,375 theaters, the latest installment in Disney’s Marvel Cinematic Universe easily towered over a trio of newcomers: Sony’s literary adaptation “Where the Crawdads Sing,” Paramount’s animated “Paws of Fury: The Legend of Hank” and the Focus Features period drama “Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris.” After 10 days on the big screen, “Love and Thunder” has generated a sizable $232 million at the domestic box office and $497.9 million globally.

For “Thor,” the fourth superhero adventure to spotlight Chris Hemsworth as the Asgardian god with abs that won’t quit, a concerning 68% decline is signaling the movie is not breaking out beyond the comic book empire’s (albeit very big) fanbase. Though “Love and Thunder” will certainly end its box office run with a tidy sum, it’s not ideal for a film of its size and scope to lose such a significant fraction of its audience so quickly after opening weekend. It’s one of the biggest second-weekend drops in MCU history next to May’s “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness,” which tumbled 67% in its sophomore outing. (Disney’s “Strange” sequel film still earned a mighty $411 million domestically). By comparison, recent Marvel entries were able to fare better with “Eternals” dipping 61% and “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings” falling 52%.

Among newcomers, “Where the Crawdads Sing” easily scored the best start. The page-to-screen adaptation debuted in third place with a better-than-expected $17 million from 3,650 cinemas. That’s an impressive start for this kind of movie, especially at a time when television has become a haven for literary favorites. And Sony spent just $24 million to produce the film so it won’t be impossible to turn a profit.

“In past years, dramas of all kinds were a workhorse genre,” says David A. Gross, who runs the movie consulting firm Franchise Entertainment Research. “But attendance patterns have changed and most of these stories are now produced for the small screen. That makes this opening particularly good.”

Critics and audiences had vastly different reactions to “Where the Crawdads Sing,” which holds a bleak 36% on Rotten Tomatoes but a solid “A-” CinemaScore from moviegoers. With positive word-of-mouth, the movie has the potential to stand out to people who aren’t familiar with the best-selling book by Delia Owens.

Olivia Newman directed “Crawdads,” which centers on a young girl named Kya (Daisy Edgar-Jones, of “Normal People” and “Fresh”), who grows up alone in a North Carolina marsh and is later engulfed in the murder trial of a former love interest. Reese Witherspoon produced the movie, which features a new song from Taylor Swift called “Carolina.”

“Paws of Fury,” on the other hand, failed to match expectations of $10 million. The family-friendly movie, which took inspiration from the 1974 Mel Brooks film “Blazing Saddles,” is landing at No. 6 with a dismal $6.25 million from 3,475 North American locations. It’s the rare blemish in 2022 for Paramount, which has otherwise enjoyed a stellar box office run with “The Lost City,” “Scream,” “Sonic the Hedgehog 2” and, of course, “Top Gun: Maverick.” Luckily, Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon Animation do not have too much on the line, as acquiring “Paws of Fury” only cost $10 million.

Though ticket buyers seemed to like “Paws of Fury,” which scored an “A-” CinemaScore, the film struggled to hold its own against Universal and Illumination’s “Minions: The Rise of Gru,” which landed in second place on box office charts with $26 million from 4,114 theaters. After three weeks of release, the “Minions” sequel has remained the de facto choice for family audiences with $262 million domestically to date. The movie has generated another $270 million at the international box office, taking its global tally to $532.7 million.

The weekend’s final newcomer “Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris” opened in ninth place, generating $1.9 million from 980 theaters. The well-reviewed period drama is aiming to serve as counter-programming against this summer’s biggest blockbusters. As expected, opening weekend audiences were comprised mostly of adult women, with 81% of ticket buyers above 30 years old and 71% female.

eOne financed “Mrs. Harris,” which stars Lesley Manville (“Phantom Thread”) as a widowed cleaning lady who travels to the city of love in search of the perfect Dior dress.

Elsewhere on domestic box office charts, “Top Gun: Maverick” took fourth place, scoring $12 million from 3,292 screens. In its eighth weekend of release, ticket sales fell a scant 23%. With $617 million in the bank and no signs of slowing down, “Top Gun: Maverick” will soon pass “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” ($620 million) and “The Avengers” ($623 million) to rank among the top 10 highest-grossing films in domestic box office history. There’s a good chance that Tom Cruise’s latest has enough fuel in its engine to near slots seven and eight, held by “Jurassic World” with $653 million and “Titanic” with $659 million.

Baz Luhrmann’s “Elvis” rounded out the top five with $7.6 million from 3,305 venues. The Warner Bros. movie, which follows Elvis Presley’s rise to become the king of rock and roll, has grossed $106 million to date, an impressive tally for a musical biopic. Globally, the film has earned $185.6 million so far. “Elvis” cost $85 million to produce, so it’s not solidly out of the red yet.

On the indie scene, A24’s charmer “Marcel the Shell With Shoes On” brought in $575,370 as the film expanded to 153 theaters. The movie, about a resilient inch-tall seashell (voiced by Jenny Slate), has generated $1.69 million as it slowly rolls out across the U.S.

Jennifer Lopez shares wedding photo as she confirms she and Ben Affleck are married: 'We did it'

Bennifer 2.0 has made it official. On Sunday, Jennifer Lopez has confirmed that she and Ben Affleck have gotten married. Lopez shared the happy news — and a photo of her and her new husband on their wedding day — in her On the JLo newsletter.

In a post titled, "We Did It," the star included photos from the Vegas nuptials. In one, Lopez, wearing a veil and an off-the-shoulder gown with lace sleeves, beams and flashes the peace sign as Affleck, in a white tuxedo paired with a black bowtie, kisses her on the cheek. Both stars are wearing wedding rings.

"We did it," the bride wrote. "Love is beautiful. Love is kind. And it turns out love is patient. Twenty years patient."

The ceremony was "exactly what we wanted," she continued. "Last night we flew to Vegas, stood in line for a license with four other couples, all making the same journey to the wedding capital of the world. Behind us two men held hands and held each other. In front of us, a young couple who made the three-hour drive from Victorville on their daughter's second birthday — all of us wanting the same thing — for the world to recognize us as partners and to declare our love to the world through the ancient and nearly universal symbol of marriage.

"We barely made it to the Little White Wedding Chapel by midnight. They graciously stayed open late a few minutes, let us take pictures in a pink Cadillac convertible, evidently once used by the King himself (but if we wanted Elvis himself to show, that cost extra and he was in bed)," Lopez continued.

"So with the best witnesses you could ever imagine, a dress from an old movie and a jacket from Ben’s closet, we read our own vows in the little chapel and gave one another the rings we’ll wear for the rest of our lives. They even had Bluetooth for a (short) march down the aisle. But in the end it was the best possible wedding we could have imagined. One we dreamed of long ago and one made real (in the eyes of the state, Las Vegas, a pink convertible and one another) at very, very long last.

"When love is real, the only thing that matters in marriage is one another and the promise we make to love, care, understand, be patient, loving and good to one another. We had that. And so much more. Best night of our lives. Thank you to the Little White Wedding Chapel for letting me use the break room to change while Ben changed in the men’s room.

"They were right when they said, 'all you need is love,'" she added. "We are so grateful to have that in abundance, a new wonderful family of five amazing children and a life that we have never had more reason to look forward to. Stick around long enough and maybe you’ll find the best moment of your life in a drive-through in Las Vegas at 12:30 in the morning in the Tunnel of Love drive-through, with your kids and the one you’ll spend forever with. Love is a great thing, maybe the best of things-and worth waiting for."

Lopez signed off with her new married name: "Mrs. Jennifer Lynn Affleck."

Lopez also showed off her new wedding bling — replacing her green engagement ring — in an Instagram photo that sees her lounging in bed.

The confirmation follows a report from People that Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck obtained a marriage license in Clark County, Nev. over the weekend. NBC News and other outlets reported that the back-on couple were wed on Saturday, July 16. The couple reunited last year after breaking off their first engagement in January 2004, and announced this April that Affleck, 49, had once again proposed, while Lopez, 52, was taking a bubble bath.

According to NBC News, court records show that a marriage license was issued to Benjamin Geza Affleck and Jennifer Lopez, who is also identified as Jennifer Affleck. No details about the ceremony itself have been reported.

This is the second marriage for Affleck, who shares three children with actress Jennifer Garner, and the fourth for Lopez. She and ex-husband Marc Anthony, who recently announced his own engagement, share twins Max and Emme.

Lopez spoke about rekindling her romance with Affleck while promoting her film Marry Me in February. The singer and actress shared that the relationship with her former Gigli and Jersey Girl co-star "feels very different than it was years ago."

"We kind of put [our relationship] out there and we were naΓ―ve and it got a little trampled," she told People of dating the actor and director from 2002 to 2004. [Now] we both were like, 'Wow, we're so happy and we don't want any of that to come into play again.' We're older now, we're smarter, we have more experience, we're at different places in our lives, we have kids now, and we have to be very conscious of those things. We're so protective because it is such a beautiful time for all of us."

She added, "It's a beautiful love story that we got a second chance. I've never been better."

Yahoo has reached out to representatives for the couple for comment.

Quinta Brunson and ABC Sued for Copyright Infringement Over ‘Abbott Elementary’

Following Abbott Elementary’s stunning seven Emmy nominations, creator Quinta Brunson and ABC have been hit with a copyright infringement lawsuit.

TheWrap reports that writer, actress, and performer Christine Davis has alleged that the show is a “knock-off” of her own, called This School Year. Davis claims that both shows have the same premise and that her show was registered with the copyright office in early 2020, a year before Abbott Elementary’s 2021 debut. Davis is looking for damages, demanding that “Brunson and ABC turn over all profits they made from the show,” as well as a jury trial.

According to the lawsuit, both shows have similar qualities, including the “look and feel of the inner-city school, the mockumentary style, unique plot synopsis, set design, and unique characters.” Davis says she wrote her script in 2018. The lawsuit also says that many of the characters are “nearly identical,” and that the plotlines in the first few episodes are similar as well.

Davis shopped her script to Blue Parks Productions’ Shavon Sullivan Wright and Cherisse Parks in summer 2020 and they met to discuss This School Year. The producers showed Davis’ script to Hulu; a few months later, Abbott Elementary started filming. However, per AV Club, neither producers are connected to Brunson’s show.

Kevin Hart Says Will Smith Is In A ‘Better Place’ After Oscars Fiasco: ‘You Can’t Judge A Person By One Thing’

While Will Smith has kept a low profile since his infamous Oscars incident earlier this year, his pal and fellow actor Kevin Hart has spoken out to assure fans the “Men In Black” star is in a “better space.” As previously reported, Will resigned from Hollywood’s Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences just days after slapping Chris Rock at their prestigious awards ceremony, which was followed by the announcement that Will was also being served with a 10-year ban from attending the Oscars.

And if that wasn’t enough, the father-of-three was then met with heavy criticism, which seemingly led to a handful of his TV and movie projects either being postponed or canceled altogether. According to Variety, “Emancipation,” an upcoming flick by the 53-year-old, was pushed back to 2023, despite Apple TV’s initial plan to release it this year.

With Will having completely removed himself from the spotlight in the past few months, Kevin has issued an update to let it be known that the Hollywood star is doing much better and that people are bound to make mistakes in life while addressing the Oscars slap. “Will is apologetic, you know, he’s in a better space, of course, than what he was after,” he shared to Entertainment Tonight.

“People are human and as humans sometimes we make mistakes. So it’s not about talking about the past, it’s about acknowledging the present and doing your best to move forward.”

And while many viewers who watched the Oscars during its live taping were at first under the impression that Will and Chris’ debacle was part of the show, many were stunned to later learn that the two were actually not kidding around. In fact, the comedian hasn’t spoken to either Will or Jada, who he had made a joke about at the ceremony, quipping that he couldn’t wait to see her in the next “G.I. Jane.” The 1997 film saw Demi Moore play a female lieutenant with a buzzcut hairstyle.

Of course, the joke didn’t sit well with Jada, who had openly admitted to battling a health condition called alopecia since 2018, which causes significant hair loss, particularly in women. And while most of Hollywood is hoping that the pair can work through their differences and make amends, it doesn’t appear as if neither Chris nor Will have shared any conversation of the sort since the Oscars.

Kevin went on to say, “I can get only hope that the two of them find a way to find some solace in that and move past it. I just like good energy. I love to see people be the best. I still love him, I still love Chris, and, you know, you can’t judge a person by one thing. Ultimately, life goes on and people grow, so give him the opportunity to do so.”

Bryan Cranston Hit By Liner At All-Star Celeb Softball

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Bryan Cranston was hoping to get a hit in the All-Star Celebrity Softball game at Dodger Stadium.

Instead, the “Breaking Bad” actor got hit. Cranston was struck in the right shoulder by a line drive off the bat of Grammy Award winner Anthony Ramos as they took batting practice in side-by-side makeshift cages outside the ballpark Saturday night.

The 66-year-old Cranston doubled over for a couple minutes, then headed to his nearby trailer.

“It’s definitely going to bruise,” Cranston said after recovering. “I might be more of a cheerleader in this game.”

The Tony, Emmy and Olivier award winner later felt well enough to play on the field at Dodger Stadium. He took a called third strike and feigned an argument with the umpire.

Cranston played for the Los Angeles team, which lost to Brooklyn 15-13. Former San Francisco Giants star Hunter Pence hit two home runs for Brooklyn and was repeatedly booed by the LA crowd.

Best known for his role as Walter White on TV’s “Breaking Bad,” Cranston wore an Albuquerque Isotopes hat in the scene where White first meets lawyer Saul Goodman ― now the title character of the spinoff series “Better Call Saul.”

Cranston has appeared at several games for the Triple-A Isotopes, and he and “Breaking Bad” costar Aaron Paul are scheduled to throw a ceremonial first pitch there July 30.

The Major League Baseball All-Star Game is Tuesday at Dodger Stadium.

American Soprano Quits Italian Opera Over Blackface Performers

ROME (AP) — Soprano Angel Blue says she won’t perform in an opera in Italy this month because blackface was used in the staging of a different work this summer on the same stage.

The U.S. singer posted a note on her angeljoyblue Instagram page saying she will be bowing out of “La Traviata” at Verona’s Arena this month because the theater recently mounted another Giuseppe Verdi opera, “Aida,” that had performers in blackface.

She blasted such use of “archaic” theatrical practices as “offensive, humiliating and outright racist.”

Angel Blue, however, was still listed Saturday on the Arena’s website as singing the role of Violetta in “La Traviata” on July 22 and 30.

The theater said it was hoping that Blue, who is Black, would accept an invitation to meet with Arena officials in a “dialogue” over the issue. The Arena, in a statement Friday, said it had “no reason nor intent whatsoever to offend and disturb anyone’s sensibility.”

For decades, U.S. civil rights organizations for decades have publicly condemned blackface — in which white performers blacken their faces — as dehumanizing Blacks by introducing and reinforcing racial stereotypes.

The Arena this summer has mounted performances of “Aida” based on a 2002 staging of the opera classic by Italian director Franco Zeffirelli who died in 2019. That staging uses blackface.

“Dear Friends, Family, and Opera Lovers,” began the soprano’s Instagram post. “I have come to the unfortunate conclusion that I will not be singing La Traviata at Arena di Verona this summer as planned.”

Referring to Arena’s decision to use blackface makeup in “Aida,″ the singer wrote: “Let me be perfectly clear: the use of blackface under any circumstances, artistic or otherwise, is a deeply misguided practice based on archaic theatrical traditions which have no place in modern society. It is offensive, humiliating and outright racist.”

She wrote that she couldn’t “in good conscience associate myself with an institution which continues this practice.”

The theater’s statement said “Angel Blue knowingly committed herself to sing at the Arena” even though the “characteristics” of the 2002 Zeffirelli staging were “well known.”

Still, the theater stressed its hope that her protest would ultimately improve understanding between cultures as well as educate Italian audiences.

“Every country has different roots, and their cultural and social structures developed along different historical and cultural paths,″ said the statement by the Arena of Verona Foundation. “Common convictions have often been reached only after years of dialogue and mutual understanding.”

The Arena statement stressed dialogue, “in effort to understand others’ point of view, in respect of consciously assumed artistic obligations.”

“Contraposition, judgments, labeling, lack of dialogue only feed the culture of contrasts, which we totally reject,” said the statement, appealing for cooperation “to avoid divisions.”

It’s not the first time that the use of blackface makeup for a staging of “Aida” in Verona has sparked a soprano’s protest. In 2019, opera singer Tamara Wilson, who is white, protested against darkening her face to sing the title character of an Ethiopian woman in the opera at the Arena.

3 People Are Fatally Shot And 2 Injured At An Indiana Mall, Police Say

GREENWOOD, Ind. — Three people were fatally shot and two were injured Sunday evening at an Indiana mall after a man with a rifle opened fire in a food court and an armed civilian shot and killed him, police said.

The man entered the Greenwood Park Mall with a rifle and several magazines of ammunition and began firing in the food court, Greenwood Police Department Chief Jim Ison said.

A 22-year-old from nearby Bartholomew County who was legally carrying a firearm at the mall shot and killed the gunman, Ison said at a news conference.

SCOTUS rules restrictions on concealed carry violate the Second Amendment

Four of those hit by gunfire were females and one was a male, Ison said. He didn't immediately know the specific gender or age of those who were killed.

He said a 12-year-old girl was among the two injured, both of whom are in stable condition.

Police confiscated a suspicious backpack that was in a bathroom near the food court, Ison said.

Officers went to the mall at about 6 p.m. for reports of the shooting.

"The real hero of the day is the citizen that was lawfully carrying a firearm in that food court and was able to stop the shooter almost as soon as he began," Ison said.

The mass shooting was just the latest to unnerve Americans in 2022. Schools, churches, grocery stores and a July Fourth parade in Highland Park, Illinois, have all become killing grounds in recent months. Still, the reality of America's staggering murder rate can often be seen more clearly in individual deaths that rarely make the news.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police and multiple other agencies are assisting in the investigation.

"We are sickened by yet another type of incident like this in our country," Indianapolis Assistant Chief of Police Chris Bailey said.

There was no threat to the area Sunday night, authorities said.

Greenwood is a south suburb of Indianapolis with a population of about 60,000. Mayor Mark Myers asked for "prayers to the victims and our first responders."

"This tragedy hits at the core of our community," Myers said in a statement.

Authorities said they would provide more details Monday.

‘Beastie Boys Square’ in Manhattan Approved After 9-Year Fight

The Beastie Boys will finally be honored through a Manhattan corner that’s been instrumental in their careers.

The New York Post reports the three-man rap crew of Ad-Rock, MCA, and Mike D will have the Lower East Side corner of Ludlow and Rivington streets renamed to “Beastie Boys Square.” The corner is significant because it’s featured on the cover for their 1989 album Paul’s Boutique, highlighting a former clothing store.

Since 2014, fans have been trying to make the street corner renamed to Beastie Boys Square but it was rejected by local officials. LeRoy McCarthy, who previously campaigned to honor the Notorious B.I.G. and Wu-Tang Clan in their respective boroughs, has been a big proponent, who initially made the proposal that was rejected by Community Board 3. At the time, board members believed the campaign did not meet their guidelines for street co-naming, which includes demonstrated and consistent voluntary commitment to the area. However, McCarthy continued to get support from the Beastie Boys’ fans who signed his online petition that had over a thousand signatures.

City Council advanced the street naming, along with other honorary namings for various thoroughfares and public places. McCarthy told the Post that the corner getting renamed “took a long time, but hip-hop don’t stop.”

“It has been a long road to get Beastie Boys Square accomplished, but I am happy to see New York government formally embracing the indigenous arts and culture of hip-hop, and the street sign is very appropriate because hip-hop is from the NYC streets,” McCarthy added.

For Beastie Boys fans, they now have Beastie Boys Square in Manhattan and Adam Yauch Park in Brooklyn to look forward to the next time they visit New York.

Kanye West Sued For $7 Million By Production Company

Kanye West has been silent on social media as of late. But, that all changed yesterday after a report about him being sued for millions was released.

Production company Phantom Labs claims Ye owes them MILLIONS of dollars, so they pulled the trigger on a new lawsuit to collect their coins.

According to the lawsuit (obtained by TMZ), Phantom Labs put in work for multiple large-scale productions for the Chi-town rapper between June 2021 to March 2022. That was a busy time for Ye. The production company provided services for four weeks of Sunday Service, a DONDA 2 listening event, the “Free Larry Hoover” concert with Drake and they were prepared for Ye’s 2022 Coachella performance, which never happened because Ye backed out. By the way, The Weeknd and Swedish House Mafia stepped in to headline.

It’s still unclear why the “Ultralight Beam” rapper canceled the performance. What’s NOT unclear is that Ye owes these people their money.

Phantom, repped by attorney Howard King, says at first, Ye and team were good about making payments -- but it wasn't long before bills started to pile up -- and by February 2022, they say they were owed over $6 million.

The docs say Ye had allegedly promised to settle his debt with Phantom, using the reported $9 million he was supposed to make at Coachella, but when he unexpectedly canceled on the festival, Phantom says it became clear, Ye wasn't going to pay.

Phantom says in addition to the $6 million tab Ye already had with the company, they were hit with another $1.1 million in Coachella-related cancelation fees they also want Ye to cover.

Law Enforcement Sources Claim Alex Murdaugh Lured Wife To Her Death

New details are emerging related to the June 2017 murders of Alex Murdaugh’s wife and son at the family’s South Carolina estate.

A law enforcement source familiar with the investigation told People that Alex asked his wife to meet him at the Islandton home because his father’s health was failing. Maggie, 52, and Alex had hit a rough patch in their marriage, and she was staying at their beach house about an hour away.

Maggie tried to arrange to meet Murdaugh at the hospital, but when he insisted, she relented. While en route, she thought something felt off and texted a friend that Alex was acting “fishy.”

“He’s up to something,” she texted her friend. When she got to the house, she left her car running in anticipation of following Alex to the hospital. She walked to the back of the property where her son, Paul, 22, was tending to a dog he was caring for.

The two were later found dead in the area of the dog kennels. Both were fatally shot, with Paul suffering from gunshot wounds to the head and chest from what appeared to be a long gun. Maggie was shot multiple times with an AR-style rifle.

After more than 13 months of investigation, Alex was indicted on murder charges. In addition, he was charged with possession of a weapon.

He denies murdering his family, and the evidence against him has not been made public. The source close to the investigation told the outlet that blood splatter found on Alex’s clothing and that he never went to visit his father in the hospital led to his arrest.

“Alex wants his family, friends, and everyone to know that he did not have anything to do with the murders of Maggie and Paul,” Alex’s defense attorneys Jim Griffin and Dick Harpootlian said in a statement. “He loved them more than anything in the world.”

ABC News reports that they plan to exhume the body of the Murdaugh family’s housekeeper, Gloria Satterfield. The family claimed she died in the hospital after a fall at their home in 2018. Alex received a $4 million payout from his home owner’s insurance, which he claimed was intended for Satterfield’s family.

In addition to the murder charges, Alex faces more than 85 other charges. The disgraced lawyer faces charges related to a murder-for-hire plot and stealing millions from people who hired him.

Dr. Anthony Fauci Says That Monkeypox Needs to Be Taken More Seriously

As monkeypox cases continue to rise, Dr. Anthony Fauci warns the US that this virus shouldn’t be taken lightly.

The CDC explains that monkeypox is a pox virus related to cowpox and smallpox. The virus looks like a pimple and blister-like lesions causing flu-like symptoms.

CNN adds, “The lesions typically concentrate on the arms and legs, but in the latest outbreak, they’re showing up more frequently on the genital and perianal area, which has raised some concerns that monkeypox lesions may be confused with sexually transmitted disease.”

Dr. Anthony Fauci, the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases director and President Joe Biden’s chief medical adviser, says that people need to take it more seriously.

“Whenever you have the emergence of something like this, you are always probably looking at what might be — might be, we don’t know — the tip of the iceberg, so that’s the reason why we’ve got to get the testing out there in a much, much more vigorous way.”

The virus spreads through close contact, and touching objects that have been contaminated with the virus likely spreads the virus. Though it’s not sexually transmitted, CNN reports it’s mainly been spreading among men who have sex with men.

Fauci believes the number of people infected with the virus is much higher than recorded. At least 700,000 vaccines are expected to be distributed to communities.

He adds, “Because you want to protect the people at risk, not only the people who might have had an exposure that they know of, but also people, by virtue of the fact that they’re in a risk situation, that they need to get vaccinated.”
