FASHION FILES HOT or NOT? Golden Globes 2021: “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom” Star Viola Davis in Lavie by CK!

We clapped with glee at the sight of Miss Viola in this stunning gown; not just because she looks amazing in it, but because we recognized it immediately as a Lavie by CK creation. We gave the line, by Cameroon-born designer Claude Kameni, a spotlight post last June and once you take in the Lavie by CK aesthetic, you aren’t ever going to forget it.

We don’t know, you guys. We wouldn’t want to tell her she absolutely must stick to this style of dress forever and all time, but dear GOD, it does look amazing enough on her that we have to fight the urge to suggest such a thing. And let’s face it, this cannot be an easy frock to pull off with such apparent ease. You have to be really well suited to the design and it is an absolute must that it make you happy to wear it.

It checks off every box she should possibly need and we think it may be our pick for her best look ever. The clutch is a perfect match and the larger-scale chain jewelry is an extremely pointed and poignant choice. She looks stunning.

#RHOA: Performer Bolo Just Made a Shocking Confession About the Bachelorette Party Episode!

Michael "Bolo" Bolwaire appeared on WWHL and spilled all on THAT RHOA dungeon-themed party.

After giving us quite possibly the most unforgettable party, trip, and episode in the history of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Cynthia Bailey's bachelorette party performer Michael "Bolo" Bolwaire dished all about the dungeon-themed festivities during the February 28 Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen After Show.

Host Andy Cohen welcomed "the infamous Bolo," as he put it, to the WWHL After Show, reuniting him (virtually) with Cynthia for the first time since her bachelorette party during the RHOA Season 13 girls' trip to Isle of Palms, South Carolina

Bolo opened up a little bit about the man behind that all-Chanel outfit, sharing that he has been performing for about 12 years. "Yeah, I've been doing it for a while, so the new spark is almost giving me the extra push again in my career," he said during the WWHL After Show. "I've been doing it for a long time, so you've still got to be Michael when you go home. So, it takes its toll on you after a while."

Cynthia told Bolo how much she appreciated him making her bachelorette party one that neither she nor any of the other RHOA ladies will ever forget.

"Hi, Bolo. I hope all is well with you, and I just wanted to say thank you so much for helping Kandi [Burruss] make my bachelorette party probably the biggest — no pun intended — and most epic bachelorette party of all time. Like, I literally have friends calling me who are married saying, 'I want to get divorced so I can get married again and have a bachelorette party with Bolo and have Kandi throw it,'" Cynthia said during the WWHL After Show. "So, all the ladies had a great time, and I appreciate you going above and beyond to make sure we had fun."

Bolo told Cynthia, "I appreciate you," also adding his gratitude for Kandi and DonJuan Clark, the general manager of Kandi Koated Entertainment, with whom he previously worked on Kandi's Welcome to the Dungeon Tour before they organized his performance at Cynthia's bachelorette party. "I appreciate Kandi and DonJuan for putting it together, because they're real big on, if they know of something, they're definitely gonna put me in the loop on it," Bolo said. "They just throw the hell out of a party, like straight up. They do. They throw the hell out of a party."

Even though Bolo made quite an impact on everyone in the room at Cynthia's bachelorette party that night, as well as all of the fans watching at home, he revealed during the WWHL After Show that he actually has yet to see the episode, which made Andy exclaim, "But you were the star of the episode!"

Bolo replied, "I do get that, but I've got other stuff to be taking care of. I hear about it afterwards. As far as watching the show, no, I didn't watch it. I was there. What the hell I need to watch it for?"

"Yeah, well, you sure were," Andy said in response.

When it comes to how full Bolo's DM inbox was after this episode of RHOA aired, he said that he's "used to that attention," having "done a couple of different projects" in the past, including appearing in the 2015 movie Chocolate City. However, Bolo admitted that his OnlyFans has really taken off since appearing on RHOA. "It's doing pretty good," he told Andy. "Yeah, it's doing a lot better than it was two or three weeks ago."

"You're welcome," Cynthia said in response with a laugh.

Bolo has even bigger plans for the future. "I do a little bit of everything. Like I said, I'm Bolo two days a week," he said. "I like to keep my hands in a little bit of everything, as far as business ventures and stuff like that."

Buckingham Palace Responds To Meghan Markle Bullying Allegations Report!

Buckingham Palace has released a statement in response to a report accusing Meghan Markle of bullying palace aides during her time as a working royal.

"We are clearly very concerned about allegations in The Times following claims made by former staff of The Duke and Duchess of Sussex," the statement read, as confirmed by Fox News on Wednesday.

"Accordingly our HR team will look into the circumstances outlined in the article," the statement continued. Members of staff involved at the time, including those who have left the Household, will be invited to participate to see if lessons can be learned."

"The Royal Household has had a Dignity at Work policy in place for a number of years and does not and will not tolerate bullying or harassment in the workplace," the statement concluded.

A rep for Buckingham Palace did not immediately respond to Fox News’ request for comment.

On Tuesday, The Times in the U.K. alleged that Markle faced a bullying complaint made by one of her close advisers. However, the 39-year-old’s team has strongly refuted the claims.

"The Duchess is saddened by this latest attack on her character, particularly as someone who has been the target of bullying herself and is deeply committed to supporting those who have experienced pain and trauma," a spokesperson for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex said in a statement sent to Fox News on Wednesday.

"She is determined to continue her work building compassion around the world and will keep striving to set an example for doing what is right and doing what is good," the statement added.

The allegation came days before Markle’s televised sit-down with Oprah Winfrey alongside her husband Prince Harry is scheduled to air on Sunday.

"The whole thing reminds me of an old rugby saying: ‘Get your retaliation in first,’" one insider told the outlet.

According to The Times, the complaint was first made in October 2018, by Jason Knauf, the couple’s former communications secretary. The complaint alleged that the former American actress drove two personal assistants out of the household and undermined the confidence of a third staff member.

The outlet reported that Knauf submitted the complaint in an effort to protect palace staffers who alleged they were being bullied by Markle. Some claimed they were even reduced to tears.

One royal aide allegedly told a colleague: "I can’t stop shaking."

A source alleged that Harry, 36, pleaded with Knauf not to pursue the complaint. However, attorneys for the couple deny that the meeting took place or that Harry interfered with any staff matters.

The outlet said Knauf allegedly sent an email to Simon Case, who served as Prince William’s private secretary at the time. The email was then forwarded to Samantha Carruthers, head of human resources. In the email, Knauf claimed Carruthers "agreed with me on all counts that the situation was very serious," adding, "I remain concerned that nothing will be done."

A spokesperson for the Sussexes fired back at the allegations reported by The Times.

"Let’s just call this what it is – a calculated smear campaign based on misleading and harmful misinformation," the spokesperson told the outlet.

"We are disappointed to see this defamatory portrayal of The Duchess of Sussex given credibility by a media outlet," the spokesperson continued. "It’s no coincidence that distorted several-year-old accusations aimed at undermining The Duchess are being briefed to the British media shortly before she and The Duke are due to speak openly and honestly about their experience of recent years."

In addition to the bullying allegations, The Times also alleged that during her 2018 visit to Fiji, Markle wore earrings that were a wedding gift from Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman of Saudi Arabia. U.S. intelligence agencies have said the 35-year-old approved the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi that same year.

People magazine noted the earrings were gifted on March 7, 2018, from the Saudi Arabian royal family. The outlet revealed that neither the Duke nor Duchess of Sussex were present when the gift was presented at Buckingham Palace. It is also protocol for any wedding gift of this nature to remain property of The Crown.

In 2019, several of Markle’s friends told People the duchess has been a victim of "global bullying" by the tabloids.

"Meg has silently sat back and endured the lies and untruths," one pal told the outlet.

In 2018, the U.K.’s Mail on Sunday alleged Markle, or "Hurricane Meghan," "bombarded aides" with 5 a.m. emails and texts.

Last week, CBS announced Harry and Markle will be speaking with Winfrey. It’s the couple’s first major television interview since quitting royal duties and buying a home last year in the U.S.

The sit-down, titled "Oprah With Meghan and Harry: A CBS Primetime Special," will air on March 7. Winfrey, 67, attended their wedding in 2018 and lives near them in Montecito, California.

Markle married Queen Elizabeth II’s grandson at Windsor Castle in May 2018. Their son Archie was born a year later.

On Valentine’s Day, the couple confirmed to Fox News that they are expecting their second child.

Markle and Harry stepped away from full-time royal life in March 2020, unhappy at media scrutiny and the strictures of their roles. They cited what they described as the intrusions and racist attitudes of the British media toward the duchess, who is African American.

It was agreed the situation would be reviewed after a year. On Feb. 19, Buckingham Palace confirmed that the couple will not be returning to royal duties and Harry will give up his honorary military titles — a decision that makes formal, and final, the couple’s split from the royal family.

The pair verified "they will not be returning as working members of the Royal Family."

A spokesperson for the couple hit back at suggestions that Markle and Harry were not devoted to duty.

"As evidenced by their work over the past year, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex remain committed to their duty and service to the U.K. and around the world, and have offered their continued support to the organizations they have represented regardless of official role," the spokesperson said in a statement.

Kim Kardashian Reportedly Concerned About Kanye West's Mental Health Amid Divorce!

Kim Kardashian is reportedly worried about Kanye West’s well-being amid their divorce, Entertainment Tonight reports.

A source told ET that Kardashian will “always love Kanye” and the pair are in contact regarding the split custody of their kids. Despite all this, Kardashian is reportedly concerned about West’s mental health after she filed for divorce last month.

“The divorce has been difficult for him, but knowing that he has access to his little ones and has split custody is making the transition easier,” the source explained. “Kim and Kanye are in contact with regards to their kids. Kanye has hope that they will reconcile, but he is not expecting that in the immediate future.”

The source told ET that West and Kardashian’s kids – North, 7, Saint, 5, Chicago, 3, and Psalm, 1 – are “doing great” and that the “older ones have had time to process and understand the situation.”

“Kim and the rest of her family have done an excellent job at coaching the kids through this,” the source said.

Kim is also reportedly spending a lot of time with her family and keeping herself busy with her “huge support system” during the divorce.

“She is happy to see that chapter close,” the source added. “She knows that it is what is healthiest for her and her family and she is ready to put this hardship behind her both publicly and personally. Kim has had her moments of feeling overwhelmed as a mom, of course, but the fact that her family has been so unified and supported her through this difficult time has made things so much easier for her to process.”

Mariah Carey’s Brother Morgan Is Suing Over False Claims In Memoir!

Mariah Carey is being sued by another one of her siblings, Morgan Carey, for falsely accusing him of being a violent person in her memoir, “The Meaning of Mariah Carey.”

Morgan is the second Carey family member to sue her over the book, following Mariah’s sister Alison, who described it as containing “cruel and outrageous allegations.”

In legal documents obtained by TMZ, Morgan alleges that Mariah damaged his reputation when she wrote about an alleged violent struggle he had with their father and an alleged attack against their mother.

The lawsuit includes a passage from the memoir that reads: “It took twelve cops to pull my brother and father apart. The big bodies of men, all entangled like a swirling hurricane, crashed loudly into the living room. I was a little girl with very few memories of a big brother who protected me. More often, I felt I had to protect myself from him, and sometimes I would find myself protecting my mother from him too.”

Morgan believes Mariah’s account of the fight portrays him as a violent man and claims actual fights with his father never occurred when Mariah was a child. In either case, he claims that 12 cops would never respond to a domestic violence complaint.

According to the documents, Mariah’s memoir also alleges, “Suddenly there was a loud, sharp noise, like an actual gunshot. My brother had pushed my mother with such force that her body slammed into the wall, making a loud cracking sound.”

Morgan insists it’s all a lie, claiming that many people experienced his “deep affection” for his mother and claims that Mariah contradicted herself later in the book when she recalled her mother saying, “Morgan is the only one I love.”

He’s suing his younger sister for slander and deliberate infliction of emotional distress, and it appears that he’s seeking a large sum of money in damages.

SAG Awards 2021 Broadcast Undergoing Major Changes Amid COVID-19 Health Concerns!

As most Awards shows, this year's Screen Actors Guild Awards will look very different from its traditional format due to COVID-19 concerns. Unlike the recent Golden Globes 2021 hybrid format, which featured some in-person and virtual appearances, the 2021 SAG Awards will be completely virtual, pre-taped, and will be broadcast in an hour-long format in April. "We're looking at trying to do a unique award ceremony in an hour and leave people saying, which they very rarely do [with an awards show], 'Man, I wish we had more,'" co-executive producer Todd Milliner told Variety.

Variety reports the awards will be given to the winners days before the ceremony's premiere. The nominees will gather in Zoom rooms for each category, where the winner will be announced. The winner will then be presented with the opportunity to give an acceptance speech. This means spoilers are possible, but the show's executive producer team seems confident a leak won't happen. “SAG Awards is a project where everybody has to work together, so we respect all of those protocols that are in place just to make everybody feel safe,” Sean Hayes, one of the show's executive producers said. "We hope they respect the show enough and everybody does, and their fellow actors, that they don't want to disappoint the audience at home by letting any surprises go," Connell said of nominees who will know outcomes prior to the actual show's broadcast date.

This year's hostless show will bypass the red carpet and set structure. Instead, the ceremony will be filled with comedy sketches along with the signature "I am an Actor" bit the SAG Awards are known for. In addition to the winner announcements, there will also be an "In Memoriam" segment. “It is a jam-packed hour, and we’re still trying to rob from one part to give to another part,” Milliner said. “When you start parsing out that hour, we didn’t really have time for a stage. Honestly, if none of the rest of the show was going to be live we thought, 'let’s put the rest of this time into those segments.'"

Stars expected to make an appearance include Sterling K. Brown (This Is Us), Lily Collins (Emily in Paris), Daveed Diggs (Snowpiercer, The Good Lord Bird, Hamilton), Ted Danson (Mr. Mayor), and Mary Steenburgen (Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist). The SAG Awards air Sunday, April 4, at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT on TNT and TBS

Raffles Van Exel Is Accused of Trying to Defraud Prince Estate!

Back in 2012 celebrity ajacent public figure Raffles Van Exel was linked to the death of Whitney Houston after admitting he was in the hotel room where she drowned before the police and paramedics arrived [click here if you missed that].

Now Van Exel is accused of trying to steal $50 million from the estate of the late rocker Prince...

From Legal News

In a strange offshoot of the never-ending Prince estate saga, a federal judge is allowing part of a Minnesota lawyer’s suit for defamation, tortious interference, abuse of process and conspiracy to move forward against a self-styled celebrity manager and his ex-lawyers.

Justin Andrew Bruntjen, owner of Wayzata-based Decerto Law LLC, filed suit in August against a celebrity hanger-on named Raffles Van Exel, plus two law firms and several individual attorneys.

Bruntjen, who once represented Prince’s half-brother Alfred Jackson in the estate litigation, contends defendants conspired against him to, in effect, steal his client—and his client’s estimated $50 million share of Prince’s estate.

In a Dec. 11 order, Minnesota U.S. District Court Judge Michael J. Davis dismissed the portion of Bruntjen’s complaint involving Missouri-based law firm James W. Tippin & Associates, and its partner lawyer Keith Anthony Cutler. The court lacks jurisdiction over their alleged activities, the judge found.

But litigation can proceed against the man Davis refers to as “Raffles,” and against the Texas law firm White, Wiggins & Barnes, and its managing partners, Ward Allen White IV and Kennedy Lowell Barnes.

The story behind the suit not only involves tortious but—for those trying to read the ruling and its accompanying complaint and reply memos—torturous claims.

Vanessa Bryant Opens Up About Life Without Kobe & Gianna!

Nearly 14 months after the tragic death of her husband Kobe Bryant and their 13-year-old daughter Gianna, Vanessa Bryant has opened up about trying to "[find] the light in darkness."

"I can't say that I'm strong every day," she told People in the cover story for this week's "Women Changing the World" issue. "I can't say that there aren't days when I feel like I can't survive to the next."

"This pain is unimaginable [but] you just have to get up and push forward," Vanessa shared. "Lying in bed crying isn't going to change the fact that my family will never be the same again. But getting out of bed and pushing forward is going to make the day better for my girls and for me. So that's what I do."

As noted by People, Vanessa has been quietly working to rebuild a life for herself and her family — Natalia, 18, Bianka, 4, and 20-month-old Capri — since Kobe and Gianna's January 2020 helicopter crash, taking charge of creative projects left unfinished at Kobe's multi-media company, Granity Studios, and relaunching her late husband's charitable non-profit as Mamba & Mambacita Sports Foundation.

"I guess the best way to describe it is that Kobe and Gigi motivate me to keep going," she explained. "They inspire me to try harder and be better every day. Their love is unconditional and they motivate me in so many different ways."

Vanessa also noted that it's her love for her children that push her to "[find] the light in darkness."

"My girls help me smile through the pain," she said. "They give me strength [..] I want to make Kobe, Gigi, Natalia, Bianka and Capri proud."

Former NFL Player Kellen Winslow II Sentenced To 14 Years In Prison!

Former NFL football player Kellen Winslow II was sentenced to 14 years in prison under a plea deal on Wednesday. He was convicted for multiple rapes and sexual offenses against five Southern California women.

According to the New York Post, Winslow, 37, was convicted on charges of forcible rape, rape of an unconscious person, assault with intent to commit rape, indecent exposure, and lewd conduct in public. He will have to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.

He appeared in court virtually at the hearing in San Diego Superior Court in Vista, California. At the advice of his attorneys, Winslow did not speak before his sentencing.

San Diego County Superior Court Judge Blaine Bowman said Winslow could only be described with “two words, and that is sexual predator,” according to the outlet, and called his crimes “brazen.” Bowman also said that he preyed on vulnerable women, saying, “The vulnerability of the victims was no accident.”

The son of former San Diego Chargers Hall of Famer Kellen Winslow exposed himself to his 57-year-old-neighbor, who was gardening. He also performed a lewd act in front of a 77-year-old woman at a gym while concealing his ankle bracelet with a towel.

The forcible rape involved a homeless Encinitas woman who was one of the four women who gave victim impact statements on Wednesday.

“It’s affecting my life every day and every night,” she said. “I don’t ever feel safe inside or outside. You brought so much damage to my life.”

All of the women who spoke described the emotional trauma they experienced due to the attacks and how it has impacted their lives.

But that jury failed to agree on other charges, including the alleged 2018 rape of a 54-year-old hitchhiker and the 2003 rape of an unconscious 17-year-old high school senior who went to a party with him when he was 19, according to The Post. Before he was retried on those charges, he pleaded guilty to raping the teen and to the sexual battery of the hitchhiker.

Last month, both sides agreed to drop the sexual battery charge down to assault with intent to commit rape. In doing so, the maximum sentence was reduced to 14 years from the 18 years Winslow initially faced.

At one point in his career, Winslow was one of the highest-paid tight ends in the NFL. A first-round pick, he played for the Cleveland Browns, New England Patriots, and the New York Jets. His last season playing football was in 2013.

Megan Thee Stallion Strips Down For Calvin Klein Underwear Campaign!

Calvin Klein enlisted everyone's favorite hot girl, Megan Thee Stallion, for its Spring 2021 campaign!

"A hottie in #MYCALVINS ... Thee Hot Girl for @calvinklein spring 2021 @mario_sorrenti," Megan captioned a steamy shot of her posing in her matching Calvin Klein bra and underwear set.

The "WAP" rapper later shared a series of photos of her Calvin Klein billboards in New York City and Los Angeles. "I am so mind blown πŸ˜ this is such an iconic campaign," she captioned the shots. "A HOUSTON TEXAS GIRL ON BILLBOARDS IN LA AND NYC FOR@calvinkleinπŸ”₯πŸ”₯Hotties we been in our baggggπŸ’ͺ🏾πŸ”₯#mycalvins."

Shot by famed fashion photographer Mario Sorrenti, the black-and-white campaign, entitled "Blank Canvas, is all about "[embracing] Calvin Klein's minimalism as a canvas for creative exploration." The campaign additionally features Anthony Ramos, Janaya Future Khan, Jacob Elordi, Koffee, Queer Skate LA, Rina Sawayama, Sage Elsesser, and Vinson Fraley, all of whom either strip down into Calvin Klein monogram underwear, or rock white tees and classic CK denim.

Meg recently chatted with Vogue about her new Calvin Klein campaign, telling the mag she's been a long fan of the brand. "Ever since I started wearing bras. I really liked that swag in the early ’90s, when I would see the old campaigns for the jeans or the Calvin Klein underwear and bras," she shared. "When I grew up, I was like, ‘one day, I want to [model for Calvin Klein]—I don’t know how I’m gonna do it, but I want to do it.’ In high school, I would definitely wear my pants a little low sometimes, so that people could see my Calvin Klein underwear. And to be a part of it now as Megan Thee Stallion, I'm like, wow, things really come full circle. I told myself I’d be on a Calvin Klein billboard and that actually happened. I’m so grateful."

Jay-Z sells majority stake in Tidal music streaming service to Jack Dorsey's Square!

Square, the mobile payments firm run by Jack Dorsey, Twitter co-founder, has acquired a majority stake in Jay-Z’s Tidal audio and video music streaming service in a $297m deal.

Under the terms of the deal, Tidal’s superstar co-owners, who include BeyoncΓ©, Madonna and Rihanna, will retain their stakes and become the second-largest shareholders. Jay-Z will join Square’s board of directors.

It is the second deal in as many weeks for the rapper after he sold half of his Armand de Brignac champagne company, better known as Ace of Spades, to LVMH, the luxury goods company. While the terms of the deal were not disclosed, the brand has been valued at $630m by Forbes.

“Why would a music streaming company and a financial services company join forces?!,” Dorsey posted on Twitter, posing the obvious question as he announced the news. “It comes down to a simple idea: finding new ways for artists to support their work. New ideas are found at intersections, and we believe there is a compelling one between music and the economy.”

Square said it has taken a “significant majority ownership stake” in Tidal, which Jay-Z bought in partnership with other artists for $56m in 2015. The service, which counts artists such as Coldplay and Daft Punk as owners, differentiated itself by offering high-quality audio and video and paying better royalty rates to artists than rivals such as Spotify.

While Tidal has carved out its niche, offering more than 70m songs and 250,000 high-quality videos, the global market is dominated by Spotify, Apple Music and Amazon Music. Last month, Spotify announced its own high-resolution streaming option, which will compete against Tidal. In 2017, Jay-Z removed most of his music from Spotify, but restored it in 2019 for his 50th birthday.

Square, founded in 2009, offers financial tools for small businesses, which will help artists to explore options such as receiving digital payments direct from fans. “There are tools they need to be successful and that we are going to build for them,” said Jesse Dorogusker, a Square executive who will run Tidal on an interim basis.
