Essence Celebrates ‘Coming 2 America’ With Three Special Covers!

More than 30 years after “Coming To America” was released, the king has returned.

Essence is celebrating the release of “Coming 2 America” with three special covers featuring the stars of the comedy. The anticipated sequel boasts new and returning faces, including Eddie Murphy, Arsenio Hall, KiKi Layne, Jermaine Fowler, and Murphy’s own daughter Bella Murphy.

While it may seem like a long wait for the sequel, Murphy says it was all about getting the timing right, revealing it took “about four or five years” to get the script into shape.

“‘Coming to America’ is one of my films that has really worked its way into the culture,” he tells the magazine. “People get dressed up as the characters for Halloween, and they still walk around saying catchphrases like ‘Sexual Chocolate’. So many people grew up with ‘Coming to America’ and have a lot invested in it, so I didn’t want to taint that.”

Murphy’s original co-star Hall agrees: “We’ve been pitched all kinds of ideas, but I remember reading the script in Eddie’s backyard and it was all making sense. That’s when I knew that this was going to be the sequel.”

As the sequel fell into place, so, too, did new additions to the cast, including Wesley Snipes.

“I was like, ‘Whatever the role is, I want to be in it.’ Later, I was told that I was going to be a general—but really, I could have played a zebra and been just fine…” Snipes tells Essence.

It’s a sentiment that is echoed by the other newcomers to the cast, with Layne saying she was “interested in showcasing strong Black women— and being a part of this film was an opportunity to play in such a classic world and also to work with straight-up legends, all the way around.”

And for Bella Murphy, it was the opportunity to share the screen with her dad in her acting debut.

“Being able to do my first film with my dad is really special…I’m over the moon,” the actress says, describing her character as “super-smart, a little bit of a badass, and she’s super-cool.”

Fans of the original movies, like Fowler, can expect plenty of laughs when the now-King of Zamunda returns.

“I just laughed my ass off and thought, All right, let’s do it“, he says of his role in the comedy.

“Coming 2 America” is on Amazon Prime Video now. For more visit ESSENCE.com or pick up the March/April issue on newsstands now.

The Grammys 2021: The Winners List!

As we embark on year two of the coronavirus pandemic, the 2021 Grammy Awards went forward full-steam ahead after being postponed.

The 63rd annual ceremony was held without a huge live audience but had no shortage of history-making looks, performances and wins. Megan Thee Stallion and Cardi B performed “WAP” for the first time live ever, giving fans instantly iconic visuals. K-pop sensation BTS took the stage from Seoul with an explosive rendition of their song “Dynamite.” Beyoncé, who came into the show with a whopping nine nominations, became the most decorated female artist in the history of the show during the broadcast, with 28 wins including Best Music Video, Best Rap Performance, Best Rap Song and Best R&B Performance.

Following with six noms each were Taylor Swift, Roddy Ricch and Dua Lipa (all of whom performed); Swift’s album “Folklore” won one of the top awards of the night, Album of the Year, while Lipa’s “Future Nostalgia” won for Best Pop Vocal Album.

Others leading the pack with nominations included Brittany Howard, with five, and Billie Eilish, Megan Thee Stallion, Phoebe Bridgers, Justin Bieber, DaBaby, jazz musician John Beasley and classical producer David Frost, who each had four. Howard, Eilish and Megan Thee Stallion had also all taken home an award prior to Sunday night’s broadcast, for Best Rock Song (“Stay High”), Best Song Written for Visual Media (“No Time to Die”) and Best Rap Performance (“Savage”), respectively. Megan continued reigning when she also took home the awards for Best New Artist and Best Rap Performance during the show.

#RHOA: Is Kenya Moore's Crush On LaToya Ali A Produced Storyline?

The Real Housewives of Atlanta fans think Kenya Moore's crush on LaToya Ali this season was cooked up by producers to boost the show's ratings.

The flirtation between Kenya Moore and LaToya Ali has been hot and heavy on The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Viewers have watched the two engage in sultry banter. Kenya even showed LaToya a few of her nude photos. While their back and forth has appeared playful and cute to watch, some fans think that the whole thing was scripted by producers to boost ratings for season 13.

After NeNe Leakes and Eva Marcille announced their exits ahead of The Real Housewives of Atlanta season 13 (NeNe may never come back), many returning viewers wondered what to expect from the new season. NeNe was the last remaining OG and did a good job of sparking confrontations with other cast members, which made for iconic showdowns. With the franchise's top drama queen gone, who would fill her shoes? Kenya Moore has helped to keep the cattiness flowing, as she was joined this season by her new co-villain, LaToya. The two were a match made in heaven when they kicked the season off by throwing shade on members of the cast. However, one aspect of their new friendship has fans calling their bluff.

Aside from her interactions with the ladies, Kenya's storyline is primarily centered on how she's dealing with the end of her marriage. She was recently served divorce papers by Marc Daly, (he reportedly was fighting to keep the relationship alive back in late 2020). She has been emotional over the loss of her marriage. However, Marc hasn't appeared in any episodes, so the divorce storyline is very one-sided. As a whole, longtime fans have argued that season 13 is a bit dry, due to a lack of juicy storylines. There are some viewers who believe that producers are working behind-the-scenes to bring fun elements to the season, such as Kenya's flirty friendship with the newcomer, LaToya. "Is Kenya liking girls for a storyline now," one Redditor asked in a thread.

One person responded: "Who tf knows. Probably is a storyline because lord knows we're tired of seeing Kenya and her failed relationships every season."Another remarked, "Yes, this definitely invoked my "Wtf?" face. It seemed so out of character for her." Others commented on Kenya's claims of crushing on LaToya only after learning of her kiss with Porsha. "I don't think it's a crush or attraction," said another user. "If anything she was jealous that her friend was with Porsha in any kind of way." Kenya and driven businesswoman Porsha Williams have had a longstanding feud since they appeared on the show in seasons five and six.

"It's easier for Kenya to say she has a crush on her than it is for her to say she was jealous and big mad over porsha," quipped another Redditor. It appears that most fans think Kenya from The Real Housewives of Atlanta has a crush on LaToya that is scripted or perhaps rooted in jealousy. It's possible that Kenya might be a little territorial when it comes to LaToya getting close to Porsha. Fans know the history between Kenya and Porsha and they're not afraid to duke it out over their differences.

#MusicNews: Ashanti Lands Role in New Live-Action Film ‘Honey Girls’!

Ashanti is once again dipping her toe in the acting pool. The Grammy winner has accepted a starring role in the new Build-A-Bear live-action feature film Honey Girls, inspired by its toy line.

Entertainment Weekly reports that Ashanti will play Fancy G, a global phenomenon that hosts a talent competition in the search for the next great solo artist. Three young, ambitious talents are on board to audition for the show but decide to band together and form a secret band called Honey Girls.

Now, as a trio, the ladies are forced to let the success die down for their viral hit or get eliminated by Fancy G to save their budding friendship.

The film, directed by Trey Fanjoy, will also star Aliyah Mastin, Ava Grace, Frankie McNellis, and Tessa Brooks. Fanjoy collaborates with screenwriters Mike Mariano and Cindy McCreery for Honey Girls, which will begin production soon.

In 2019, Ashanti starred in and executive produced the film Stuck.

Ashanti recently participated in Verzuz alongside her opponent Keyshia Cole. That same night, the appointed princess of hip-hop soul shared the new song “2:35 (I Want You).” She quickly followed up a supporting music video.

#HipHopNews: Sage The Gemini And Chris Brown Team Up On ‘Baby’!

Sage the Gemini and Chris Brown are back with another one. After teasing the track on social media, Sage unleashes his new single “Baby” with an assist from Breezy. On the melodic bop, produced by The Superiors, the fellas make no apologies for their player ways.

“I’m just walkin’ with my baby / Stylin’ while my side bitch lookin’ at me crazy,” sings Chris.

The two are no strangers to collaborations. They previously teamed up on songs including “Buss It” and “Outy When I Drive / Blamed,” plus Tank’s 2016 single “#BDAY.”

LISTEN HERE

This is the latest collaboration from Chris this year. Last month, he and Young Thug dropped the remix to “Go Crazy” with Future, Lil Durk, and Mulatto. He also linked up with Tory Lanez (“F.E.E.L.S.”), Sevyn Streeter (“Guilty”), and G-Eazy (“Provide”).

#RIP: Marvelous Marvin Hagler, one of boxing's legendary Four Kings, dies at 66!

Legendary former middleweight champion Marvelous Marvin Hagler died Saturday in his hometown in Bartlett, New Hampshire, though as of 7:30 p.m. ET, there had been no official confirmation.

A post on the Official Marvin Hagler Fan Page purporting to be from Hagler’s wife announced the death.

“I am sorry to make a very sad announcement. Today unfortunately my beloved husband Marvelous Marvin passed away unexpectedly at his home here in New Hampshire. Our family requests that you respect our privacy during this difficult time. With love, Kay G. Hagler.”

Hagler married Kay Guarrera in 2000. He was previously married to Bertha Hagler from 1980-90. The couple had five children.

TMZ followed the Facebook post with a report that Hagler’s son, James, said his father was taken to a New Hampshire hospital after experiencing chest pains and difficulty breathing. TMZ reported that Hagler’s family was notified four hours later that he had died.

Hagler was one of “The Four Kings,” of the 1980s along with Sugar Ray Leonard, Roberto Duran and Thomas Hearns. He is widely regarded to be not only arguably the greatest middleweight of all time but one of the greatest fighters, period, who ever lived.

Hagler, 66, was a member of the International Boxing Hall of Fame. He was 62-3-2 with 52 KOs. His most memorable win was a three-round KO of Thomas Hearns in 1985 that stands as one of the most exciting fights in Boston history.

He lost to Leonard in a controversial 1987 bout in Las Vegas. Frustrated, Hagler retired immediately following the bout and moved to Italy, where he became an actor. He never fought again.

Top Rank chairman Bob Arum released a statement shortly after the reports began circulating:

“Marvelous Marvin Hagler was among the greatest athletes that Top Rank ever promoted. He was a man of honor and a man of his word, and he performed in the ring with unparalleled determination. He was a true athlete and a true man. I will miss him greatly."

Hagler had five children with his first wife: Charelle, Celeste, James, Marvin Jr., and Gentry.

Jennifer Lopez And Alex Rodriguez Say They Are Still Together, 'Working Through Some Things'!

Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez have announced they are staying together.

After reports circulated Friday that the couple had ended their relationship of four years, they issued a joint statement to NBC News through their representative on Saturday.

"All the reports are inaccurate. We are working through some things.”

Earlier Saturday, multiple sources close to the couple said: "They never officially broke up and had talked about it but are still together. They hit a rough patch that made them think about what they should do. They are sticking together. They are working through things.”

Lopez, 51, is currently filming a movie in the Dominican Republic while Rodriguez, 45, is in Miami.

"It's tough seeing each other especially with quarantining and Covid, but they are staying together," the sources said. “It’s important to them that they continue to be together.”

The celebrity couple has already postponed their wedding twice due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

"We've talked about that for sure. I mean, at our age, we've both been married before, it's like, do we get married? Do we not? What does it mean for us?" Lopez told Andy Cohen on SiriusXM's Radio Andy in December. "It was really sad because we were supposed to get married in June and we had planned it all. So in March or April, we're looking down the pipe and we're going, 'This is maybe not going to happen.' Italy's the worst place in the world. And we were going to get married in Italy. It was, yeah, it was like, I was like, 'OK, we got to cancel everything.'"

The Bronx-born Puerto Rican singer and actress added that they tried to "regroup a few months ago," but it was "still not the right time."

Lopez and Rodriguez have been engaged for two years. They first got engaged in 2019 while vacationing in the Bahamas.

In May of last year, NBC's "TODAY" show co-host Jenna Bush asked Lopez if she had learned anything new from Rodriguez during quarantine.

“We realized that we really do like each other," Lopez said. "We are okay being home together."

"We know that whenever we go back to somewhat normal, whatever that new normal is, it won’t be like this. And we won’t have this time that we’re having right now. So, we’re just kind of trying to savor it and be grateful for what it is."

Lopez is the mom of twins Max and Emme, 13, whom she shares with ex-husband Marc Anthony. Rodriguez is the dad to two daughters, Ella, 12, and Natasha, 16.

"The kids really loved each other from the beginning they really just got along," Lopez told TODAY last May. "We all love each other. We get along Alex and I have been together for over three years. We are a family."

In 2018, Lopez said her relationship with Rodriguez was different from her previous romances.

"He's brought something to my life that I've never had before, which is kind of an unconditional support and love, kind of a matching of like, twin souls," she told Sunday TODAY’s Willie Geist at the time. "That's a different thing for me, now I know what it's like to be with me. He works as much as I do. He's kind of as driven as I am."

Estranged Son Of Gospel Singer Kirk Franklin Releases Explicit Audio Of His Father Cursing Him Out And Franklin Apologizes!

Famed gospel singer Kirk Franklin and his 33-year-old son Kerrion Rashad don’t seem to be getting along very well these days.

Kerrion, who has been estranged from his family for years, released audio of an extremely heated argument between he and his father

In the video, Franklin could be heard yelling “I’ll put my foot in your a**” as Rashad responds “I dare you”

Franklin could later be heard yelling “I will break your neck ni***, don’t you ever disrespect me” at the end of the video.

In an Instagram post, Rashad blames his father for their broken relationship.

This is why I’m done. No father should speak to their children like this. If I have any issues it’s because Of this type of treatment that ii deal with behind closed doors. Hanging up in my face, No apology, no compassion, no effort. Stop telling me to go home to my family I don’t even know where they live. I don’t think I’ll ever trust my father to be alone around him ever again. I didn’t want to do this. I probably won’t release the entire recording because it’s too embarrassing that Im even dealing with this. No matter what ppl think I pray my dad deals with his deep hatred toward me. I don’t feel safe around him at all. This recording is recent it is not from 2018 just to clarify. Im going to learn from these experiences, live my life in peace and make beautiful art

Franklin issued an apology for losing his temper in the phone call.

Sharon Osbourne Responds After Holly Robinson Peete Claims Her Former ‘The Talk’ Co-Host Said She Was “Too Ghetto” For CBS Show!

Holly Robinson Peete, who was one of the original hosts of CBS’ The Talk, slammed Sharon Osbourne on Twitter saying that the co-host “complained that I was too ‘ghetto'” for the show and that Osbourne was responsible for Peete’s departure in 2011.

“I’m old enough to remember when Sharon complained that I was too ‘ghetto’ for #theTalk…then I was gone,” Peete tweeted. “I bring this up now bc I was mortified watching the disrespectful condescending tone she took w/ her co host who remained respectful because…she HAD TO.”

Peete later posted a followup tweet. “I LOVED being on The Talk … but sometimes awesome gifts come in humiliating packages.”

Osbourne denied playing a part in Peete’s firing via a Twitter post Saturday. “In response to Holly Robinson Peete’s accusation of me getting her fired from The Talk, I am sharing an e-mail sent to me from Holly one month after she was let go by CBS,” she wrote. In the private email from Peete, sent on Sept. 19, 2011, she and Osbourne appear to be on good terms. It does not show any rift between them while hinting at other possible factors in Peete’s firing.

Osbourne did not address Peete’s account that she had allegedly deemed her “too ghetto” for the show.

Peete’s comments came after Osbourne broke down during Wednesday’s episode of The Talk during a heated discussion over her public support for her friend Piers Morgan. In it, co-host Sheryl Underwood noted that “while you are standing by you your friend, it appears that you are giving validation or safe haven to something that he has uttered that is racist.” Among Morgan’s most incendiary remarks, Morgan also said he did not believe Markle’s suicidal thoughts.

“I feel like I’m about to be put in the electric chair because I have a friend who many people think is racist, so that makes me a racist,” Osbourne said, before asking Underwood to be precise about how Morgan has been racist.

After the heated conversation from Wednesday’s episode, Osbourne shared a statement on Twitter apologizing her for remarks, adding that she “felt blindsided [and] got defensive.” Morgan reacted to the moment between Underwood and Osbourne demanding that The Talk apologize after it “shamed & bullied” his friend.

Chris Harrison Will Not Be Returning for the Next Season of The Bachelorette After All!

Despite his assertion on Good Morning America last week that “I plan to be back and I want to be back,” ABC confirmed Friday that franchise host Chris Harrison will definitively not be returning to Bachelor Nation for the upcoming sixteenth season of The Bachelorette, which is reportedly set to start production next week. Instead, former Bachelorette stars Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe will fill in, co-hosting as a duo.

“Chris Harrison will not be hosting the next season of The Bachelorette. We support Chris in the work that he is committed to doing,” ABC Entertainment and Warner Horizon said in a statement published by The Hollywood Reporter Friday evening. “In his absence, former Bachelorettes Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe will support the new Bachelorette through next season. As we continue the dialogue around achieving greater equity and inclusion within The Bachelor franchise, we are dedicated to improving the BIPOC representation of our crew, including among the executive producer ranks. These are important steps in effecting fundamental change so that our franchise is a celebration of love that is reflective of our world.”

In February, Harrison stepped aside from the current season of The Bachelor following an Extra interview with Bachelorette alumna Rachel Lindsay, in which the host and executive producer defended current Bachelor contestant Rachel Kirkconnell against the “woke police” over, as Kirkconnell put it in her own apology, “offensive and racist” social-media posts, including photos of Kirkconnell at an Antebellum South–themed party. Harrison subsequently apologized for “wrongly speaking in a manner that perpetuates racism.” The move came after 36 of this season’s 37 Bachelor contestants issued a joint statement condemning “any defense of racism.”

Why Meghan Markle and Her Mom Doria Were Allegedly Barred From Going to Get Coffee!

Meghan Markle's isolation was allegedly once so bad during her time with the royal family, she was barred from going out into town with her mom Doria Ragland, a new report from Harper's Bazaar claims.

In royal editor-at-large Omid Scobie's new piece for the outlet, he claimed that the former Suits star was once informed that she could not leave Frogmore Cottage, where she was living with her husband Prince Harry, in order to go to town and get coffees with her mom, who was visiting from California at the time. According to a source for Harper's Bazaar, Doria was surprised by the situation, telling the Duchess of Sussex, "You're stuck in here."

Meghan previously spoke about feeling lonely and trapped inside her home during her and Harry's tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey on March 7. She explained to the host that lunch out with friends was allegedly banned by "the Firm," aka the royal family and those who keep the operation running.

"I remember so often people within The Firm would say, 'Well, you can't do this because it'll look like that. You can't,'" Meghan explained. "So, even, 'Can I go and have lunch with my friends?' [was met with] 'No, no, no, you're oversaturated, you're everywhere, it would be best for you to not go out to lunch with your friends.'"

She added, "There was a day that one of the members of the family, she came over, and she said, 'Why don't you just lay low for a little while, because you are everywhere right now.' And I said, 'I've left the house twice in four months. I'm everywhere, but I am nowhere.'"

Since stepping back from their roles as senior members of the royal family last year, Meghan and Harry, who now live in California, are able to go out whenever they please. In October, the two were spotted getting dinner with Katharine McPhee and her husband David Foster.

A coffee run? Well, that's whenever they're in need of caffeine.

Michael B. Jordan Addresses Speculation His Relationship With Lori Harvey Is Fake: People That Know Me Know My Heart!

Michael B. Jordan and Lori Harvey have certainly received mixed reactions about their relationship since going public earlier this year.

Some have even alleged that the two were faking their relationship as a PR stunt.

The Creed star shut down those claims in an interview with Men’s Health.

“For all the success that I’ve had, there’s going to be negative reactions and opinions thrown at me. That just comes with it. When you’re younger, you’re just frustrated, but when you start to realize that this is what it is, you start to understand. I’m never going to make everybody happy.”

He added that his fans only see what he allows them to when it comes to his personal life.

“People that know me know my heart. But people that know me for my work . . . they know what I allow them to know. The fact that I’ve been so closed off about a lot of parts of my life was a personal choice. As I’ve gotten older and a little more mature and comfortable in my own skin, I’ve become less concerned about it.”

And it looks like he and Lori Harvey are getting serious. Her stepdad, TV personality, and comedian Steve Harvey revealed that he’s met Michael B. Jordan’s father. He said while on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Feb. 25th,

“I’m happy for him. He’s a great guy, met his father and everything, but uh—that was a lot. I don’t know where he’s gonna go from here, so hopefully, you know, maybe he’ll make Creed 4, 5 and 6.”

He previously spoke on their relationship on his morning radio show and said,

“I like this one. I still got my eye on him…Like right now? Nice guy. But I got this little section partna, where all I gotta do is click a switch and I can hate ya a**. ‘Cause you ain’t the sexiest man in the world to me! Let’s be clear about that.”

What are your thoughts on Michael B. Jordan clearing the air?

Azealia Banks and Ryder Ripps' NFT Sex Tape is Being Resold for Over $260 Million by the Anonymous Rulton Fyder!

Azealia Banks sold her audio sex tape with her fiancé Ryder Ripps for $17,000 as an NFT, or a non-fungible, token, which essentially allows individuals to sell digital objects as one-of-a-kind via cryptocurrency.

Now, the sex tape is being resold for over $260 million.

via Insider: NFTs, as Insider’s Grace Kay previously wrote, are “a special class of digital assets that cannot be exchanged with one another for equal value or broken down into smaller values like most currencies.” The digital products sold on the cryptocurrency market can range from anything like digital art or virtual real estate to now, the first-ever NFT audio sex tape – Vice reported – which Banks posted.

The audiotape, published on the NFT marketplace Foundation on March 6 and titled “I F—-D RYDER RIPPS,” is said to be a 24-minute long recording of Banks and her fiancé having sex that was uploaded and listed for 10 Ethereum – a cryptocurrency – valued at over $17,000. Less than 12 hours later, an artist who goes by the name of Rulton Fyder, purchased the tape. According to Fyder’s website, he is an anonymous artist “best known for his recontextualisation of other artists’ works to capture time and emotion in the NFT art realm,” though Fyder’s online history only goes back days.

It’s unclear who Fyder is but there is speculation it could be artist Richard Prince, who occasionally goes by the alias Fulton Ryder.

Ripps told Insider in an emailed statement that he’s emailed Fyder but he still doesn’t know who this person is. “The fact they already have a show at an established gallery would tell me its someone established in the art world,” Ripps wrote, “but I really have no idea, could all be some type of ruse who knows.”

Once the sale was completed, Fyder was granted “full ownership of the album, as well as distribution and display rights, and sole access to the audio including a WAV file and the only signed LP vinyl record of the sex tape in existence,” Vice wrote about the sale.

On Wednesday, Banks uploaded a screenshot of the resale of the NFT on her Instagram account, showing it priced at over $260 million.

“Literally – the most expensive NFT ever,” the artist wrote in the caption. “Don’t you love how We came, saw, and conquered this s–t in a matter of 48hrs? The f—ing iconnery.”

Ripps also told Insider he would make a profit off the sale of the NFT. “I am told by the foundation that there is a 10% royalty built into the smart contract,” he wrote in an email. This means he could potentially see $26 million if it is sold.

The Harlem-born rapper then posted another image of a Wikipedia page showing the most expensive art purchases of all-time with her audio NFT sex-tape sitting in fourth place.

The image, however, appears to either be edited, or the Wikipedia edit was short-lived. The tape isn’t currently on the Wikipedia page, and the actual list is for “highest prices paid.” And nobody has actually paid the inflated price for the tape yet.

Banks is no stranger to controversy. She’s been embroiled in many scandals including most recently when she announced her engagement on social media and wrote “I’m Jewish now.” One commenter responded, “It doesn’t work like that” and she shot back with a transphobic rant.

One thing about Azealia — she’s always finding a headline for herself.

Breonna Taylor’s Mom Seeking ‘Real justice’ 1 Year Later: ‘They Should Be Held Accountable’!

Saturday officially markeed a year since Breonna Taylor was killed by Louisville Metro Police Officers during a raid at her west Louisville apartment. The Black 26-year-old from Louisville, Kentucky, who was an emergency medical technician studying to become a nurse, was shot multiple times in her home by officers serving a no-knock warrant as part of a narcotics investigation into another man. No drugs were found in her home, and the case fueled nationwide protests against police brutality and systemic racism.

The city agreed to pay Taylor’s family $12 million but her mother says that’s not enough as no officers have been charged in her daughter’s death. Tamika Palmer spoke with CNN, telling the outlet that she will never give up her fight to see the officers criminally charged.

She said “It can’t end here. I’m still out here, I’m still doing what I need to do to get justice for Breonna to make sure that people do right by her.”

Her mother also sat down with WLKY ahead of that day and was asked what sort of emotions come up now, after everything that has happened: “Anger. Still, just like, I can’t believe it’s a year later and we’re still just asking people to do the right thing,” she said.

As we previously reported, only one officer was indicted for what happened that night. No one was charged in her actual death.

Palmer says she feels like the system failed Breonna.

Cam Newton Returning To New England Patriots on 1-year Deal Worth $14 Million!

Cam Newton will be returning to the New England Patriots in a new lucrative, one year deal.

Newton is reportedly finalizing a deal worth up to $14 million, a source told ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Nearly $6 million of which is tied to incentives, another source told ESPN’s Mike Reiss.

The 31-year-old QB posted a video on Instagram earlier today which seemed to confirm the news, with a caption that read in part, “Run it back!! Chapter 2.”

In an interview with the “I Am Athlete” podcast last month, Newton revealed that he would be open to another one-year deal with New England, after signing a modest one-year deal with the team in 2020.

“I’m getting tired of changing [teams],” Newton said. “I am at a point in my career where I know way more than I did last year. Yes, I would go back.”
