Zendaya and John David Washington for W Magazine!

The actress views the breathtaking photoshoot as ‘almost like righting a wrong’

Fresh off their Netflix film Malcolm & Marie, Zendaya and John David Washington are on the latest cover of W Magazine in an old-Hollywood inspired photoshoot.

Both Zendaya and John David Washington are some of the most in-demand talents in Hollywood today. Both with impressive careers on their own, the two came together this winter for Malcolm & Marie, a film shot entirely in quarantine that almost immediately got some awards buzz.

But what would A-listers Zendaya and Washington’s lives look like in “Old Hollywood”? That’s the premise behind their latest shoot for W Magazine. Inspired by the work of American photographer Slim Aarons, both Zendaya and John David Washington bring their “high-wattage energy to old-school glamour.”

The piece and shoot, entitled Zendaya and John David Washington star in “Their Place in the Sun,” is a bit of a fashion fever dream, with both Washington and a now-blonde Zendaya serving looks in Gucci, Prada, Valentino, and more.

With their palpable chemistry, the pictures portray Zendaya and John David Washington in a Hollywood fantasy, basking in the sun and lounging in the most luxurious of clothes. The location, looks, and style of the shoot were all incredibly intentional.

In the piece, Zendaya said, “That’s the mood I want…that life, but reimagined for now, with the look of then,” when describing the shoot. “Two Black actors in this setting seems like rewriting history in an elegant manner, like kind of an Old Hollywood that we wished existed in these photos. It’s almost like righting a wrong,” she explained.

Law Roach, who styled the shoot, agreed with Zendaya, saying, “Doing a Slim Aarons shoot, but with Black actors. The visuals matter. The way change happens is when people can see wealth and grandeur in a way that they are not used to seeing it.”

The piece details how integrated Zendaya was with the concept and execution of the photoshoot, even scouting the gorgeous white house used in the shoot.

Some of the most striking images from the shoot are shots of Zendaya and Washington dancing with each other in the house. Zendaya in a stunning Miu Miu dress and Washington in a Dior men’s shirt, the photos highlight the pure chemistry the two have with each other.

According to the piece, that moment was actually an impromptu one. It reads, “When Zendaya changed into a pair of shorts and a matching lace top that resembled C.Z. Guest’s set in the Slim Aarons photo, Washington complimented her look. She playfully hit him on the arm, and they did a kind of impromptu dance.

Later, that dance was worked into a series of photos: Zendaya twirling in a sorbet-hued mini dress with a large pink bow, while Washington smiled.”

Zendaya’s blonde look in the shoot was also an intentional statement. “Crucial to that concept was Zendaya’s insistence on being blonde,” the piece explains. “Much like her experiments during quarantine, this offered her a chance to create a new persona. Her teased bouffant was both a jab at the traditional stereotypes of white women and a way to instantly become a character.”

Washington was especially taken with the fashion and style of the shoot, calling it “Black royalty!”

#RHOA: Vivica A. Fox Finally Buries Hatchet with RHOA's Kenya Moore After Years-Long Feud!

The two had been going at it since filming Celebrity Apprentice in 2014.

While Kenya Moore may be in the doghouse with a few of her "Real Housewives of Atlanta" costars, she can finally cross one feud off her list.

Appearing on "Watch What Happens Live" on Sunday night, Vivica A. Fox formally accepted an apology from Kenya, who had recently attempted to say she was sorry for her part in their long-simmering battle via mutual friend Claudia Jordan.

The feud came up after Andy Cohen noted Kenya had recently appeared on the show as well and said that whole Fox had received the apology, she wasn't "ready yet" to accept it. "I respect that, people have to be ready to receive an apology," she said at the time. "I'm hoping she'll accept. I really do like Vivica, before any of the drama. I think she's a great person."

After complimenting Moore's chest in the video message, Fox went on to accept the apology.

"Kenya is a beautiful woman and I am ready to let bygones be bygones. She went through Claudia, issued an apology at that time and I was grateful at that time," she explained. "At the time, I wasn't ready. Now, I love seeing Kenya with her daughter, her daughter is so cute. It looks like she has new beef though with other people so Vivica's good."

Fox and Moore have had an off-again-on-again feud for years dating back to their time together on NBC's "Celebrity Apprentice," which filmed in 2014 and aired the following year.  On the show, Fox called Moore a "toxic trick" and "dirty bitch," in response to Kenya saying  Vivica's "menopause" was causing "wild ups and downs." Fox also accused Moore of stealing her phone and tweeting from it, claims Kenya has always denied.

Just last month, Wendy Williams asked Fox what it would take for her to apologize to Moore.

"I don't owe her apology, she stole my phone. I have no reason to apologize to her," said Fox at the time, before extending an invite to Kenya to appear on her talk show, "Cocktails with Queens."

#NewMusic from Faith Evans ‘Right Now’!

With us marking a year inside this weird new world that the COVID-19 pandemic introduced, we could all use a little encouragement. And who better to give us that necessary word than the R&B first lady herself Faith Evans. The industry veteran teams up with producer Jovan J. Dawkins and rapper Big Knuck to do just that with her latest single "Right Now."On "Right Now," Faith encourages us to live for the moment instead of waiting for later.

The sentiment of carpe diem isn't a new one, but Faith puts a little oomph behind it with her soulful vocal. "There's no better time to live it up / No better time to love it up / No better time, listen up / No better time, don't give up," she sings on the pre-chorus. Helping her vocals soar is inspirational production from Dawkins, who goes with high-flying synths and bombastic drums to express the hope in the lyrics. Big Knuck joins near the end to recap all the things we've endured in the past year — from COVID-19 to the senseless murder of George Floyd — while still capturing the feeling of hope for a better day to come.

There's not a lot of information about "Right Now" (including if the single is part of a larger compilation), but we’ll keep you posted!

#HipHopNews: Drake Makes Historic Hot 100 Start at Nos. 1, 2 & 3, Led by 'What's Next'!

Drake is the first artist ever to debut three songs in the top three simultaneously.

The lyrics of Drake's new song "What's Next" have proven prophetic, as the track debuts at numero uno on the Billboard Hot 100 (aka, the "Hot one hundo"). He also becomes the first artist to enter the chart at Nos. 1, 2 and 3 simultaneously, as the song is joined by his "Wants and Needs," featuring Lil Baby, new at No. 2, and "Lemon Pepper Freestyle," featuring Rick Ross, new at No. 3.

The tracks were released March 5 on OVO Sound/Republic Records (packaged under the title "Scary Hours 2").

With "What's Next," Drake adds his eighth Hot 100 No. 1, while the three songs up his total to a record-extending 45 top 10s. Drake also joins The Beatles and Ariana Grande as the only acts ever to rank at Nos. 1, 2 and 3 on the Hot 100 simultaneously.

Meanwhile, the week's top four songs on the Hot 100 are all debuts for the first time in the chart's six-decade history -- as, below Drake's three-song launch, Silk Sonic's "Leave the Door Open" enters at No. 4. The duo comprises Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak.

Plus, as it cedes the Hot 100's summit after eight weeks at No. 1, Olivia Rodrigo's "Drivers License" takes over atop the Radio Songs chart.

Meghan Markle Is Demanding to See the Evidence Buckingham Palace Finds in Its Bullying Investigation!

Now that Buckingham Palace is looking into allegations of bullying against Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex has formally requested copies of any evidence found in the investigation.

The Palace committed to look into the claims after they were made public in a Times of London article published on March 2. "The Royal Household has had a Dignity at Work policy in place for a number of years and does not and will not tolerate bullying or harassment in the workplace," Buckingham Palace said in a statement.

Meghan's office has reportedly "written to Buckingham Palace demanding to see any documents, emails or text messages relating to the bullying complaint against her," a senior Palace source told the Daily Mail.

Meghan Markle is fighting back against allegations of bullying. The Duchess of Sussex is reportedly asking that Buckingham Palace share with her any evidence turned up in its investigation into claims she bullied members of the royal staff.

According to a report from the Daily Mail, Meghan "has written to Buckingham Palace demanding to see any documents, emails or text messages relating to the bullying complaint against her." A senior Palace source told the publication that Meghan's office has "written to request the evidence" from the royals.

Meghan's request has reportedly been passed on to Prince Charles, whose "closest aides are now conducting a search of files," according to the Daily Mail.

The investigation comes after a Times of London article, published on March 2, that alleged Meghan bullied members of the royal staff during her time at Kensington Palace with Prince Harry.

After the article was published, Buckingham Palace pledged in a statement to look into the claims against Meghan.

"We are clearly very concerned about allegations in the Times following claims made by former staff of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex," the Palace said in it's statement. "Accordingly, our HR team will look into the circumstances outlined in the article. Members of staff involved at the time, including those who have left the Household, will be invited to participate to see if lessons can be learned. The Royal Household has had a Dignity at Work policy in place for a number of years and does not and will not tolerate bullying or harassment in the workplace."

While the Palace initially seemed poised to handle the inquiry internally, the royals are now considering bringing in an independent law firm to conduct the investigation, according to a report from The Sun.

Meghan has vehemently denied the claims. "The duchess is saddened by this latest attack on her character, particularly as someone who has been the target of bullying herself and is deeply committed to supporting those who have experienced pain and trauma," a spokesperson for Meghan said in a statement after the Times of London piece ran. "She is determined to continue her work building compassion around the world and will keep striving to set an example for doing what is right and doing what is good."

Tiffany Haddish Found Out She Won a Grammy While Filming Kids Say the Darndest Things!

In the aftermath of a record-breaking night for Black women, Tiffany Haddish is celebrating her own big win. The comedian and host of the ABC show Kids Say the Darnedest Things scored her first Grammy last night for her special Black Mitzvah, which won Best Comedy Album. Unlike fellow divas BeyoncΓ© and Megan Thee Stallion, Haddish was at work taping Kids Say instead of at the ceremony, so in a video she shared online, the crew surprised her with the news. “I just won a Grammy? Are you serious?” she said before stopping to explain to the kids what’s going on. “Y’all serious? I really won?” The high-energy comedian broke down in tears as the news sank in, noting that a Black woman hasn’t won in this category since 1986, when Whoopi “EGOT” Goldberg won.

“Can I tell you why I’m crying?” Haddish told the kids, wiping away her tears. “It’s a lot of bumpy roads that you cross. It’s a lot of times you feel like, Well, am I doing the right thing? Is this good enough? Am I good enough? Am I strong enough to do this job? And you just have to believe in yourself as much as you can, and against all odds you say, ‘You know what, I’ma just put my best foot forward and I’m gonna give the world the best that I got.’ Anything is possible.” Now we’re crying. Send this to someone who needs it today, even if the only person you can think of is yourself.

Awwwwwww, Congrats!

'Bachelor' Matt James Confronts Rachael Kirkconnell Over The Racial Ignorance That Ended Their Relationship!

Monday was a wild night for Bachelor Nation as the finale of The Bachelor did not end in an engagement. The episode started with Matt James having second thoughts about proposing to either Michelle Young or Rachael Kirkconnell. Matt ended up telling Michelle that he was having doubts and that he didn't think he "could get there" with her. Matt left Michelle upset and in tears in her room. "My objective tonight wasn't to hurt Michelle," Matt said, "It's to be honest with her, and I owe her that."

Matt was immediately blasted on Twitter for his decision.

Matt continued to struggle with the idea of proposing to someone at the end. So even though he picked out a ring with Neil Lane, he didn't get down on one knee in front of Rachael. Standing together, holding hands, Matt told her, "I can't propose to you today. But that doesn't mean I want to lose you." So the season ended with the two in a seemingly happy relationship and fans were definitely not excited about Matt choosing Rachael.

However, during The Bachelor: After the Final Rose, hosted by Emmanuel Acho due to Chris Harrison’s departure over racially insensitive comments made while defending Rachael, we learned that things had changed.

Matt revealed he ended the relationship after photos emerged of Rachael attending an Antebellum-themed party in 2018. Matt explained that, at first, he tried to ignore it. "I dismissed them as rumors, because that's what they were to me," Matt told Emmanuel. "You hear things that are heartbreaking ... and you just pray they're not true. And then, when you find out that they are ... it just makes you question everything."

Matt was then able to confront Rachael and explain why he ended their relationship.

“When I questioned our relationship, it was in the context of you not fully understanding my blackness and what it means to be a Black man in America,” Matt told Rachael. “It broke my heart, because this is the last conversation I thought we'd be having. I didn't sign up to have this conversation.”

Rachael was contrite throughout the special and claimed she was trying to become more racially aware. She also admitted that her errors came from a place of ignorance not maliciousness. When asked about her photos from the party, Rachael said, “I see someone who was living in this ignorance without even, like, thinking about who it would be hurting.”

While Rachael said she is committed to educating herself, Matt insisted that this was something she was going to have to do on her own.

“I had to take a step back for you to put in that work that you outlined that you needed to do, and that's something that you gotta do on your own, and that's why we can't be in a relationship,” said Matt. “I don't want to be emotionally responsible for those tears, 'cause it's like, the work and the reconciliation that needs to be done is work that I can't do for you.”

Needless to say, Bachelor Nation had some thoughts on this conversation as well.

But the real star of the show seemed to be Acho. The former NFL linebacker was well received by viewers on social media, and may possibly find a more permanent hosting role in the franchise.

HFPA Promises to Have at Least 13 Percent Black Membership by Next Year’s Golden Globes!

On Monday evening, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association put their membership where their mouth is and pledged to increase the percentage of Black HFPA members from zero to at least 13 percent by next year. The announcement came on the heels of an open letter from over 100 PR firms published earlier Monday evening, demanding the organization “manifest profound and lasting change” to counteract “discriminatory behavior, unprofessionalism, ethical impropriety and alleged financial corruption” within HFPA. If not, the firms said, they will withdraw access to their clients until concrete change is made.

“In the last decade, our industry has faced a seismic reckoning and begun to address its failure to reflect and honor the diversity of our community, yet we have witnessed no acceptance of responsibility, accountability or action from the HFPA, even as systemic inequity and egregious behavior are allowed to continue,” the firms’ letter, addressed to HFPA’s higher-ups and published by The Hollywood Reporter, reads in part. “To reflect how urgent and necessary we feel this work is, we cannot advocate for our clients to participate in HFPA events or interviews as we await your explicit plans and timeline for transformational change.”

“The Hollywood Foreign Press Association reiterates that we are committed to making necessary changes within our organization and in our industry as a whole,” the 87-member organization said in their response, which you can also read at The Hollywood Reporter. “We also acknowledge that we should have done more, and sooner. As a demonstration of our commitment, the board has unanimously approved a plan to increase membership to a minimum of 100 members this year, with a requirement that at least 13 percent of the membership be Black journalists.”

HFPA also laid out a number of other pledges, including analyzing their member selection process, facilitating bias training for existing members, partnering with advocacy groups to help with reforms, and creating a transparent system to hold the organization accountable to their goals, i.e., making sure they actually fix all that stuff their Golden Globes hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler ripped them for just last month.

NBC Cancels 'World of Dance' After 4 Seasons!

When NBC announced its summer reality competition slate last week, World of Dance Season 5 was conspicuously missing. That is because the network has canceled the series. The show's four seasons featured Jennifer Lopez, Ne-Yo and Derek Hough as judges, with Scott Evans as host. Lopez was among the executive producers.

NBC does not plan on airing a fifth season, Deadline reported Monday. The fourth season aired between May and August 2020 and ended with the group MDC 3 winning the $1 million prize. The series debuted in May 2017 and was a strong ratings performer for NBC through the first three seasons. However, Season 4 saw a drop in interest from audiences. The first two seasons were hosted by Jenna Dewan, with Evans replacing her for Seasons 3 and 4.

The decision came after NBC announced its summer competition slate, which will only include three shows this summer. American Ninja Warrior Season 13 will start on Monday, May 31, with America's Got Talent Season 16 starting on Tuesday, June 1. Making It Season 3 will start on Thursday, June 3.

World of Dance marked a return to judging a reality show for Lopez, who previously worked on American Idol. "This was a surprise idea to go back to judging after American Idol,” Lopez told Variety in 2017. “I didn’t think I’d be doing that so soon, but at the end of the day, it’s about the quality of the project and what moves me as an artist, and this is what I wanted to do.”

While ratings might have played a role in the decision to cancel the series, Lopez's schedule was likely an issue too. The singer is now in the Dominican Republic filming Shotgun Wedding and recently finished Marry Me, a comedy scheduled for February 2022. In January, Lopez also sang "America the Beautiful" and "This Land Is Your Land" at President Joe Biden's inauguration.

On Friday, sources told multiple outlets that Lopez and Alex Rodriguez broke up and ended their engagement. However, on Saturday morning, the two said they were still together and are "working through some things." Rodriguez also told photographers outside his gym in Miami he was not single. The two have been engaged since 2019 and began dating two years earlier. On Monday, Rodriguez shared a photo from the Dominican Republic. "Happy Monday. New week. New day. Onward. Upward," he wrote and made sure to tag Lopez on the post.

Aretha Frankin’s Family Is Protesting Nat Geo’s ‘Genius!

‘It’s hard to get any accurate depiction of anyone’s life without speaking to the ones closest to them.’

Several of Aretha Franklin’s family members are urging fans of the Queen of Soul to boycott National Geographic’s upcoming anthology series Genius: Aretha starring Cynthia Erivo.

The family has made clear that they do not approve of the series and that the producers were disrespectful to them and refused to work Franklin’s immediate family on the biopic. In a short clip shared on social media, the late singer’s granddaughter, Grace Franklin, put the network on blast for failing to consult with the family on the project.

“It’s hard to get any accurate depiction of anyone’s life without speaking to the ones closest to them,” Grace states in the video — see the Twitter embed below.

Last month, Franklin’s youngest son, Kecalf Franklin, 50, also slammed the forthcoming Genius: Aretha series, saying the family does not support it because a deal was “pushed through without our consent.”

“If you are a true fan please do not support it!!!” he wrote. Kecalf also noted that the family’s issue is with the production team, not the actors, “as we know they are just doing their jobs,” he said.

Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Suzan-Lori Parks, who serves as an executive producer and head writer on the series, responded to the criticism in a statement to the Detroit Free Press.

“As the showrunner of ‘Genius: Aretha,’ I can tell you that every single day (and twice on Sunday!) — through COVID, social unrest, and every other challenge we faced — our intention was to respect Ms. Franklin in every aspect of our show and in every decision we made,” Parks wrote.

“As ‘The Queen,’ she is deserving of every single celebration of her life that the world can muster,” she continued. “We worked with many people who knew Ms. Franklin — from Clive Davis to representatives of her family’s estate — to make sure we told her story in an honest and authentic way. And, on a personal note, as a Black American woman, I was taught at a very young age that soul is universal.  Our series is all about soul, and we are honoring the life and soul of Aretha Franklin.”

Thomas “Hitman” Hearns clarifies his statement on Marvin Hagler, who died after taking mRNA vaccine!

Thomas "Hitman" Hearns, left, clarified his statement that former middleweight champion Marvin Hagler, right, was in an ICU after receiving a coronavirus vaccine.

Hagler died suddenly on Saturday at age 66.

Hearns, who is among boxing's legendary "Four Kings" alongside champions Hagler, Sugar Ray Leonard and Roberto Duran, asked fans for prayers for Hagler in an Instagram post.

"A real true warrior Pray for the king and his family.. he's in ICU fighting the after effects of the vaccine! He'll be just fine but we could use the positive energy and Prayer for his Full Recovery!"

The news media slammed "anti-vaxxers" for repeating Hearns' suggestion that Hagler suffered an adverse reaction to the vaccine.

Somewhere in the mountain of media denials was a report that Hagler died from "natural causes."

But people who die from natural causes are terminally ill and/or expected to die.

Hagler's wife, Kay, announced his passing on Facebook, saying his death was not expected.

"I am sorry to make a very sad announcement. Today unfortunately my beloved husband Marvelous Marvin passed away unexpectedly at his home here in New Hampshire. Our family requests that you respect our privacy during this difficult time."

Hearns, 62, chastised anti-vaxxers in a statement to London's DailyMail.com.

"Our love and respect to Marvin and his family, this is not an anti vaccine campaign.. it's outrageous to have that in mind during the passing of a King, Legend, Father, Husband and so much more."

ABC will have 2 Bachelorettes for 2021 Meet Katie Thurston and Michelle Young!

Oh boy, it has been a "journey," rose lovers. In a (dare we say) dramatic turn of events, ABC announced Monday that Bachelor contestant Katie Thurston — a 29-year-old bank manager from Renton, Wash. — will star on season 17 of The Bachelorette this spring. Now here comes the surprise: Bachelor contestant (and this season's runner-up) Michelle Young will star on season 18 of The Bachelorette — which will premiere in the fall.

For the first time in the show's 17-year history, ABC will air two seasons of The Bachelorette in one year. Host Emmanuel Acho broke the news after the Bachelor finale, during the After the Final Rose special. "When they first told me, I thought we were going to be Bachelorette at the same time," Young told Acho with a laugh. "I was a little nervous, but once I found out it was two different seasons, I was here for it." Thurston added, "I'm ready to find love, and not just the temporary kind... I've seen it work before, why can't it work for me?"

On Friday, ABC and Warner Horizon announced that Chris Harrison will not be hosting the next season of The Bachelorette; instead, former Bachelorettes Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe will guide Thurston on her "journey" to find "love." It's unclear whether Harrison will be back at work as host for Young's Bachelorette season, or for Bachelor in Paradise this summer.

Word first began to leak that Thurston was a frontrunner back in February, when professional spoiler hound Reality Steve reported that she would be the next Bachelorette. Soon after, though, controversy erupted over racism in the franchise when Harrison gave an interview to EXTRA correspondent (and former Bachelorette) Rachel Lindsay on Feb. 9. Harrison later apologized for his comments during the interview and announced he was "stepping aside" from the franchise temporarily. Two weeks later, Reality Steve reported that Thurston was no longer in the running to be the Bachelorette... only to reverse himself again on March 3rd.

Meanwhile, Michelle Young, a 27-year-old teacher from Edina, Minnesota, made it all the way to the final two on this season of The Bachelor, but Matt James ultimately gave his final rose to Rachael Kirkconnell.

Production on Thurston's season of The Bachelorette will reportedly begin later this month in New Mexico.

Cardi B Fans Are Convinced She’s Pregnant After Recent Grammys Performance!

If you ask some of her fans, Cardi B is carrying her second child. The “Up” rapper performed her hit single “WAP” at the Grammy Awards with Megan Thee Stallion Sunday, March 14th. While the sultry performance got lots of attention, part of it was because fans speculated that Cardi B is pregnant.

One fan shared a clip and wrote,

I can’t tell if Cardi B is arching her back, or if she looks pregnant… ??? pic.twitter.com/KyIt8kDMW7

— Papi Torres (@PapiTorres100) March 15, 2021

One social media user responded,

“She is definitely pregnant.”

It didn’t take long for other fans to chime in and share their theory that the rapper is with child.

If she’s pregnant, this will be her second child as she shares two-year-old daughter Kulture with her husband, rapper Offset.

Cardi B hasn’t publicly addressed the speculation.

Four Sponsors Drop High School Basketball Announcer Who Called Team The N-Word!

A former youth pastor who called a girls basketball team the N-word for kneeling during the National Anthem has been dropped by four sponsors.

The incident happened last week during a high school state basketball quarterfinals championship game between undefeated Norman High School and Midwest City in Oklahoma.

"They're kneeling? F*** them," said Matt Rowan who announced the game for the Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association. "I hope Norman gets their ass kicked," he said.

Seconds later, Rowan, who believed his microphone was turned off, said, "Did they even salute the flag?" "F***ing ni**ers."

Norman's basketball coach shared the audio clip on Twitter on Friday: "Hey @NFHSNetwork looks like you forgot to cut the Mic!!! 'F****** N******' is the one that really got me!! Tell us how you really feel!! THIS IS WHY THEY KNEEL!!!"

Following the public backlash, Rowan released a statement blaming his inappropriate language on a spike in his high blood sugar level:

"I will state that I suffer Type I Diabetes and during the game my sugar was spiking," he wrote. "While not excusing my remarks, it is not unusual when my sugar spikes that I become disoriented and often say things that are not appropriate as well as hurtful."

Racism is not a known symptom of diabetes type 1 or 2.

Rowan's statement only infuriated the cancel culture who flooded the social media accounts of his sponsors.

Rowan owns American Lock Shop and OSPN in Tahlequah, OK. His sponsors include Fastenal, ALL Designs, X-Press Stop and Chris Pruitt Auto Sales. All four companies announced they were ending their partnerships with Rowan over the weekend.

Fastenal, a wholesale distributor of construction supplies, tweeted on Friday: "We do not support this type of behavior and have officially severed ties with Matt Rowan and OSPN Live."

2 Men Charged With Assaulting Officer Brian Sicknick, Who Later Died After Capitol Riot!

According to The Washington Post, two men who took part in the Jan. 6 attack on the US Capitol have been arrested and charged with attacking a police officer who died after responding to the riot.

Julian Elie Khater, 32, of Pennsylvania, and George Pierre Tanios, 39, of West Virginia, were arrested on Sunday and are scheduled to appear in federal court on Monday.

Khater and Tanios are accused of attacking Sicknick, a US Capitol Police officer named C. Edwards, and a D.C. police officer named B. Chapman with a lethal weapon on nine counts. They’re also accused of inciting a riot and obstructing a congressional hearing. The charges bring a maximum term of 20 years in jail.

Even so, it’s unclear if anybody will face criminal charges in connection with Sicknick’s death. While charging papers allege proof of an attack on Sicknick is evident on film, his case has not been identified as a homicide due to the lack of a cause of death.
