It’s an early morning in Los Angeles and the dawn chorus—a presumed mix of warblers, waxwings, and jays—greet the sunny day with poise and purpose. Inside, Zoe Saldana channels something spiritually similar—hair pulled back in a sleek braid, flawless skin, and a disarming smile. Her voice rings bright and playful as she accentuates each word with graceful hands and the powerful brushstrokes of her arms, reminding me of her training as a professional ballet dancer and giving me the impression that she might jump right off the video screen at any moment. She has chosen a quiet, but luminous corner of her Los Angeles home. Her slender frame is wrapped in a cream-colored sweatshirt from her new Adidas x Kohl’s collaboration, ready for her training session just after our call. She is attentive, warm, and puts me immediately at ease.
It isn’t by chance that Zoe Saldana is Hollywood’s most sought after, indomitable space warrior. A culmination of choices and sheer perseverance has allowed her to reach this new peak. She has been able to soar beyond her humble beginnings and past the inherent challenges of being a woman of minority descent in Hollywood. But how did we get here? Well, in the history of cinema, only five movies have managed to gross over $2 billion, and Zoe Saldana is in three of them: Avengers: Endgame (2019), Avengers: Infinity War (2018), and Avatar (2009). She is also set to appear in the next Guardians of the Galaxy and in the fourthcoming Avatar sequels. If any of these films capture the interest of their prequels, Saldana is set to become the number one movie box office actor. She is already the second highest-grossing actress.
Saldana tells me that as a child she identified more with heroines, such as the intrepid Lady Jessica from the sci-fi classic Dune, and much less with more prim and proper characters from say, a Jane Austen novel. She laughs teasingly, “Jane Austen in Queens in the 80s? C’mon, are you freaking kidding me!?” It’s not by chance, then, that she auditioned for all these roles. “I was always jumping around. I wanted to climb, wrestle, and fight! I dreamt of saving the day. I fell in love with Sarah Connor and Ellen Ripley, and the films Whoopie Goldberg would do like Jumpin Jack Flash! These were my women!”
Saldana has never been at a better time or place. How does she use this spotlight? To speak of those who go unseen, despite their enormous contributions to society. She does this in the best way she knows: storytelling. Together with her sisters Mariel and Cisely, she founded Cinestar Productions in 2016 to shine a light on women and to give a voice to the underrepresented. They are currently executive producing their upcoming Netflix series, From Scratch, along with Reese Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter, in which Saldana will star. The Saldana sisters are also preparing the series The Gordita Chronicles with HBO Max, which centers on a Latina reporter looking back on her childhood as a Dominican immigrant growing up with her family in 1980s Miami. Cinestar also produced the upcoming feature film Keyhole Garden, directed by Zoe’s husband Marco Perego, which explores how immigration policies along America’s southern border impact lives.

#RHOA: Mike Hill Was a Fan of Cynthia Bailey Before They Met…While still with his EX WIFE!
Long before he met his now-wife, Mike Hill says supermodel Cynthia Bailey was his favorite cast member of RHOA. During a recent interview, Hill says Bailey was always a standout. As fate would have it, she’d one day become his blushing bride.

Before stealing Bailey’s heart, Hill was an avid viewer of the Bravo reality series. In between his duties as a sports analyst, he tuned in weekly to see the Georgia peach mingle with her co-stars.
“My ex-wife, Camille, turned me on to The Real Housewives of Atlanta, and we used to sit there on Sundays and actually watch it together, or we’d even have it on DVR [because] we couldn’t watch it without each other,” he said during an appearance on the Behind the Velvet Rope podcast, as reported by Madame Noire. “And what’s crazy about that whole situation is that Cynthia was, like, our favorite. So [that’s] before I even knew about her personally or whatnot.”
He says with the exception of Kim Zolciak Biermann, they enjoyed the cast, but Bailey in particular. “[Cynthia] was our favorite because – taking nothing from the others, of course – we loved what NeNe brought to the table, Phaedra [Parks] and Kandi [Burruss], we enjoyed all of them, don’t get me wrong.”
As for why Bailey was their “One person who was always consistent was Cynthia. And we liked the way she carried herself. She was classy, and she still is today, obviously. But yeah, she was our favorite.”
One thing Hill witnessed from watching Bailey on the show was her marriage and divorce from her ex, Peter Thomas. Bailey and Thomas’ marriage was riddled with financial issues, bickering in-laws, and rumors of infidelity on Thomas’ end. By 2016, she’d had enough and filed divorce paperwork.
She dated around for a bit before meeting Hill during a dating segment on The Steve Harvey Show and fell head over heels in love.
“I picked you because you were the one,” Bailey told Hill during a joint interview with Entertainment Tonight. “Mike Hill is the one, like, I cannot believe the words that come out of my mouth. He is the one. He is the one. I love this man.”
After her divorce from Thomas, Bailey vowed to never marry again. But meeting Hill changed things for her.
“After my divorce, I needed a minute and I took some time to kind of just do me and it was very much needed,” Bailey told ESSENCE in 2019. “With Mike, the question for me I ask myself is not would I get married again, it just kind of became ‘Would I marry Mike? Yeah, I’ll marry Mike for sure because Mike is – he just feels right to me…He just feels good and he makes me happy and I feel good when I’m with him and he’s just his own person – he’s a whole person, I’m a whole person and, when we’re together, it’s great.
Hill and Bailey married in October 2020.

In addition to the original 16 tracks, the Triple Chucks Deluxe version features six bonus tracks with appearances from DaBaby (“Know No Better”), Quavo (“Wish You Would”), Jaden (“I Can’t Be Myself”), Tori Kelly (“Name”), and Lil Uzi Vert, who guests on “There She Go,” which Bieber says will “probably be huge on TikTok.”
Justice, which spawned collaborations with Chance the Rapper, Khalid, Burna Boy, The Kid LAROI, and Dominic Fike, is expected to debut at No. 1 on next week’s charts with 135,000 equivalent album units.
“This album is meant to encourage people,” Bieber told DJ Khaled’s “The First One” podcast. “In the mission statement for the album I talked about how music is such a great way to connect people and bring them together, remind them they are not alone provide that safe space, comforting music to move and groove.”

Wiz Khalifa celebrates a decade of Rolling Papers. To commemorate the 10th anniversary of his major-label debut album, the Taylor Gang rapper has re-released the project with four bonus tracks including “Middle of You” (featuring Chevy Woods, Nikkiya and Poo Bear), “Stoned,” “Taylor Gang,” and “Black & Yellow (G-Mix)” with Snoop Dogg, Juicy J, and T-Pain.
The 10th anniversary deluxe edition also includes an alternate version of “Hopes & Dreams” featuring a never-before-heard verse from the late Nipsey Hussle. “Dickie shorts and Rolex watches / I’m smoking while she dancin’ topless,” the Crenshaw icon raps on his carefree verse.
According to Wiz’s label Atlantic Records, Nipsey was originally featured on “Hopes and Dreams,” but it was never released “due to clearance issues, despite the two farsighted rapper/entrepreneurs’ long friendship and close personal bond.”

Rolling Papers, which was released March 29, 2011, was certified double platinum and spawned hit singles including “Roll Up” and “Black and Yellow.” Wiz has also released a merch collection in honor of the album’s anniversary, while a vinyl edition will be available later this year in limited edition colors.
Nike denies involvement with Lil Nas X 'Satan Shoes' containing human blood!
The devil wears Prada — and now, according to rapper Lil Nas X, he also wears custom Nike sneakers containing human blood.
Lil Nas X, the "Old Town Road" artist, is collaborating with the streetwear company MSCHF on a pair of "Satan Shoes," only 666 pairs of which will be on sale Monday. The controversial kicks — apparently modified Nike Air Max 97s — are decorated with a pentagram pendant and a reference to Luke 10:18, a Bible verse about Satan's fall from heaven. They'll be sold for $1,018.
The sneakers also contain a drop of human blood in the sole, drawn from members of the MSCHF team, the company told NBC News on Sunday.
News of the shoes drew outrage over the Palm Sunday weekend; some critics slammed both Lil Nas X and Nike. But Nike was quick to distance itself from the shoes, pointing out that they're custom adaptations of existing products.
"We do not have a relationship with Little Nas X or MSCHF," Nike said in a statement. "Nike did not design or release these shoes and we do not endorse them."
MSCHF previously released a pair of modified Nike Air Max 97s called the "Jesus Shoes," which contained what it described as holy water in its sole drawn from the River Jordan.
The release of the Satan Shoes coincides with Lil Nas X's latest single, "Montero (Call Me By Your Name)," and its accompanying music video. In the video, Lil Nas X is seduced out of what appears to be the Garden of Eden, falls into hell and gives the devil a lap dance.
The music video has been viewed more than 29 million times since its release Friday.
The rapper, whose real name is Montero Lamar Hill, put out a short YouTube video on Sunday titled "Lil Nas X Apologizes for Satan Shoe." While holding the sneaker, Lil Nas X begins speaking, and before it gets to the advertised apology, the video cuts to the clip from "Montero" of him giving the devil a lap dance.
He also tweeted a defense of the shoes Sunday.
After the release of the song Friday, Lil Nas X put out an open letter to his younger self about coming out. The rapper, who is openly gay, explained that the song was about a guy he met last summer.
"I know we promised to never come out publicly, I know we promised to never be 'that' type of gay person, I know we promised to die with the secret, but this will open doors for many other queer people to simply exist," he wrote.
The music video for "Montero" includes a voiceover with a similar message.
"In life, we hide the parts of ourselves we don't want the world to see," he says. "We lock them away. We tell them, 'No.' We banish them. But here, we don't. Welcome to Montero."
Lil Nas X first appeared to come out in a tweet in June 2019, on the last day of Pride Month, after the chart-topping success of "Old Town Road."
He pointed out a rainbow building on the cover of his album, "C7osure," and said, "Deadass thought I made it obvious."
#CONDOLENCES: Taraji P. Henson reveals her beloved dog K Ball has died!
Taraji P. Henson is mourning the death of her beloved dog K Ball.
On Monday, the 50-year-old actress revealed her four-legged friend had died, days after revealing he had “some complications” after a surgery.
“Had to say good bye forever to my baby @kballhenson I AM GOING TO MISS MY SWEET BABY SO MUCH. KBall was so good to me. Gave me three beautiful love filled years. KBall you calmed mommy’s anxiety. What will I do without you,” Henson posted to Instagram.
“Mommy tried everything to save your life. EVERYTHING!!! I couldn’t watch you suffer any longer,” she continued.
Henson said “life was rough” on K Ball, noting he “had breathing issues that needed to be addressed.”
“His trachea was the size of a straw so breathing and eating and playing was becoming very difficult for him. He had two surgeries and his Lil body couldn’t take it,” Henson explained.
“I gave you the best three years ever. Private jets vacations shopping movie sets photo shoots the best dog food money could buy and ALL OF MY LOVE!!! Jesus this is hard and yes I AM A WRECK!!! #RIPKBallHenson💔💔💔😢😢😢😭😭😭😞,” she continued.
Over the weekend, Henson issued an emotional plea for fans to keep K Ball in their thoughts and prayers.
“Mommy and team are praying Lil champ!!!!” Henson wrote. “Keep fighting baby @kballhenson.”
Several of Henson’s famous friends and followers extended their sympathies on Monday.
“Sending you much love & virtual hugs,” Iman commented.

Jason Derulo expecting first child with girlfriend Jena Frumes!
Jason Derulo can't wait to be a dad! The "Lifestyle" singer, 31, confirmed the happy baby news Sunday — that his girlfriend Jena Frumes is pregnant with the couple's first child. In his Instagram video, the beaming Derulo walks with the visibly pregnant model and influencer Frumes on a beach and kisses her baby bump.
As the sun sets in the video on the couple's embrace, the ocean waves wash over and reveal "Coming Soon" scrawled into the sand.
"Couldn’t be more excited for this new chapter in our life," Derulo wrote in the caption.
In her own Sunday Instagram post, Frumes, 26, shared a photo of the couple embracing with their hands resting on her bump.
"Mom & Dad," Frumes wrote in the caption, with a baby and heart emoji.
Derulo told People magazine in August that he met Frumes at the gym just before the coronavirus pandemic. The two began to date shortly thereafter and Frumes has been a constant feature in Derulo's Instagram and TikTok posts.

Ex- NYPD cop Daniel Pantaleo has lost his bid to get his job back over the fatal arrest of Eric Garner!
Daniel Pantaleo was fired by then-NYPD Commissioner James O’Neill after the department trial found that he used an unauthorized chokehold to restrain Garner, a 43-year-old Black man who was arrested during a dispute over selling loose cigarettes.
On Thursday (March 25), the court decided to uphold Pantaleo’s termination. “Substantial evidence supports respondents’ conclusion that petitioner recklessly caused injury to Eric Garner by maintaining a prohibited chokehold for 9 to 10 seconds after exigent circumstances were no longer present, thereby disregarding the risk of injury,” the three-judge panel decided.
“Conduct far less serious than petitioner’s has been found by the Court of Appeals to have a destructive impact … on the confidence, which it is so important for the public to have in its police officers,” the panel added.
Stuart London, Pantaleo’s lawyer, said he and his client are frustrated with the ruling. “We are disappointed with the reasoning and the decision handed down today and we are carefully reviewing the decision to explore our appellate options.”
Back in 2014, Pantaleo placed Garner in a chokehold and wrestled him to the ground as he called out multiple times, “I can’t breathe!” The New York City’s medical examiner ruled that his death was a homicide due to the chokehold triggering a fatal asthma attack.
The U.S. Department of Justice and a Staten Island grand jury both declined to bring criminal charges against Pantaleo, however, he was later terminated by the NYPD following a department disciplinary trial.
“Every time I watch that video I say to myself, as I’m sure all of you do, ‘Mr. Garner, don’t do it. Comply. Officer Pantaleo, don’t do it,’” O’Neill said after the firing. “But none of us can take back our decisions, most especially when they lead to the death of another human being.”
Fred Davie, the chair of the Civilian Complaint Review Board, which prosecuted the case, lauded the ruling.
“Achieving a shred of justice for Eric Garner took entirely too long, and tragically, firing Daniel Pantaleo from the NYPD will never bring Eric back to his family,” Davie said in a statement.
“The decision to terminate Daniel Pantaleo from the Police Department following the CCRB’s prosecution was the correct one, and I commend the First Department for upholding this decision,” Davie continued.
“Daniel Pantaleo should never be able to patrol New York City streets again, and now New Yorkers can rest assured that he won’t.”

Cassie has a new little one in her life. The "Long Way 2 Go" artist shared the news in a March 27 Instagram post, which featured several photos of her and her new daughter. She wrote in the caption, "On Monday March 22nd, 2021 @ 10:22am our hearts got bigger. Welcome to the world baby girl! We love you so much Sunny Cinco Fine!"

Sunny is Cassie's second child with her husband Alex Fine, the personal trainer who she married in an intimate ceremony in Malibu in 2019. The couple already share one daughter together, Frankie, who was born in December 2019, just three months after their wedding.
In an emotional Instagram post earlier this month, Cassie shared a maternity photo from her pregnancy with Sunny and discussed what motherhood means to her.

Cassie previously spoke about her unexpected pregnancy with Sunny, which occurred in the middle of the coronavirus pandemic, in an interview with People.
"Before COVID, I was casually talking to my doctor about birth control, but once the stay-at-home order went into effect, I was lax about going to the doctor because I didn't want to go out of the house unless necessary," she shared. "Of course, I had no idea how fertile you are after having a baby, so I delayed. And, here we are, seven months later!"
She added that though she'll "need my body back for a minute" before deciding whether to have a third child, "I love that Frankie's going to have a sibling super close in age. Plus, we're home so much now anyway, and my entire house is all 'baby,' so in that sense, the timing is ideal."
Lul Tim, rapper charged in King Von’s murder, released on bond!
Lul Tim, the 22-year-old rapper charged in the murder of King Von last November, has been granted bail by Fulton County Court, XXL reports.
The bail bond amount was set at $100,000, which the young rapper reportedly posted on Friday (March 26). Police arrested Lul Tim, born Timothy Leeks, on November 7, 2020 — one day after he allegedly shot and killed King Von during an altercation between the “Armed and Dangerous” rapper’s entourage and rapper Quando Rondo’s crew. Leeks was one of three people shot that night outside the Monaco Hookah Lounge in Atlanta. Georgia Bureau of Investigations announced they closed Von’s murder case shortly after arresting Leeks. He spent almost two weeks in police custody at Grady Hospital, where he was treated for a gunshot wound, before he was sent to a Fulton County Jail.
Leeks was reportedly denied bond twice, and although murder is one of Georgia criminal justice’s “non-bondable” 13 offenses, state laws allow an offender to appeal their ruling to a Superior Court judge. Georgia Code, Title 17, Chapter 6 – Bonds and Recognizances, Article 1 – General Provisions states if you have been charged with a non-bondable offense, bail will be denied, at least at the local level. Georgia does allow you to request that a bail amount be set by a Superior Court judge. To exercise this option, an attorney must file a motion for bond in Superior Court. Granting of the attorney’s motion for a hearing is not a guarantee that a bond amount will be set in the case. It means that the Superior Court will review the circumstances of your arrest, the nature of the offense, and your previous history with the court to determine whether bond is warranted.
The Superior Court must look at several factors when determining whether to grant bail for a serious crime, including the offender’s standing in the community, the likelihood that they will pose a danger to others in the community, and their previous criminal history. While many defendants charged with serious offenses seek Superior-Court-only bonds, only a small percentage of those requests are granted. Leeks has been charged with one count of murder.

Virginia Beach Officer Who Fatally Shot A Black Man Did Not Have Bodycam Activated!
Multiple mass shootings occurred Friday night in Virginia Beach, and the officer who was called to the scene shot someone to death and did not have his body camera activated.
The identity of the officer has not been released. Still, Virginia Beach Police Chief Paul Neudigate said in a news conference on Saturday that it’s unclear why the officer’s camera was not activated.
The unnamed officer claimed the life of 25-year-old Donovan Lynch, a Black man.
According to CNN, Lynch was killed one block away from where Deshayla Harris, 28, died in a separate shooting.
With the extensive history of police brutality on the black community, there were inevitably questions regarding whether Lynch was armed or not.
“I do not have the answers that the community is looking for in regards to this death right now,” Neudigate said. “What I can tell you is that there was a firearm recovered in the vicinity of where this incident occurred.”
An investigation is ongoing, and until it concludes, the officer has been placed on administrative assignment.
Aforementioned, the officer was responding to two other shootings that happened prior.
The shooting unrelated to Lynch and Harris was the result of a fight.
“We now know that that started as a physical fight, an argument into a physical fight, that at some point escalated into gunfire,” Neudigate said.
The people have been arrested in connection to this shooting.
“I feel sick at the news of yet another senseless mass shooting — in a community already scarred by the scourge of gun violence,” US Sen. Tim Kaine, D-Virginia, said. “We cannot stand by as more families lose loved ones. The time for Congress to act on gun violence is NOW.”
More Teens Arrested For Carjackings In Washington D.C. Days After Uber Eats Driver’s Death!
Two more Washington D.C. teens were arrested days after two teen girls, aged 13 and 15, were arrested
The teen boys, both aged 13, carried out carjackings several blocks from each other before their arrests on Friday. The first carjacking took place around 7:10 p.m. on K Street and the other took place around 8:40 p.m. on O Street Northwest as reported by NBC Washington. Officers said the victims were in their vehicles when they were confronted by the boys. They said one of the boys threatened one of the victims with a handgun and told them to exit the vehicle. The victim followed their orders and exited the vehicle.
The teens attempted to drive off in the car but failed and fled the scene on foot. In the second attempt, the boys took off in the vehicle but the car has been recovered since then. They were arrested and charged with two counts of armed carjacking.
Days before their arrest, two teen girls have been arrested and charged for the murder of 63-year-old Mohammed Anwar.
