#RHOA: Kandi Burruss Reveals Her Surrogate Was Pregnant with Twins, But sadly Lost One!
Kandi Burruss nearly became a mother of five.  On Sunday’s Real Housewives of Atlanta season 12 premiere, the Grammy winner, 43, revealed that the surrogate she and husband Todd Tucker, 46, were using was initially pregnant with twins, but one of the embryos was lost.
“We actually was supposed to be having twins, and then one of them didn’t continue,” Burruss explained, adding, “I was sad at first, but then I just had to be grateful that the one made it.”

News broke back in September that Burruss and Tucker are expecting their second together, this time via a surrogate. The couple already share 3-year-old son Ace, while Burruss is mom to 16-year-old daughter Riley and Tucker is dad to daughter Kaela, 22, from past relationships.
Surrogacy was something the pair had debated during RHOA‘s 11th season. Burruss was worried about carrying her own after a high-risk pregnancy with Ace and her history with fibroids, noncancerous growths in the uterus.

Eventually, the two agreed to use a surrogate after meeting a potential candidate through Burruss’ OBGYN, Married to Medicine‘s Dr. Jackie Walters.
That candidate, a woman named Shadina, ended up being the one Burruss and Tucker used.
“To allow somebody to carry my child inside of them? It was a tough decision to make,” Burruss said on Sunday’s episode of RHOA.

Ultimately, the process appeared to be bittersweet for Burruss, especially because she wasn’t able to physically experience the milestones that go along with pregnancy.
“I just feel like this whole situation is strange,” she confessed. “I don’t get to be excited about the first kick. I don’t get to be excited about, ‘Oh now my baby bump is showing.’ I don’t get to be excited even about my boobs filling up with milk.”

“You have this guilt [and] sadness,” she added. “So it’s a joyous ,yet interesting experience.”
Burruss’ child is due this month. The Real Housewives of Atlanta airs Sundays (8 p.m. ET) on Bravo.

#Empire Crews Take Over Rialto Square Theatre!
JOLIET, IL (PATCH) —If you've been to downtown Joliet this week, you've probably noticed that television crews from Fox's show "Empire" are back. The crew is filming inside the historic Rialto Square Theatre. Empire has used the Rialto on a number of occasions in recent years.
Bob Filotto, chairman of the Rialto's board, told Joliet Patch it was his understanding that Empire may be using the Rialto for about three days of filming, this time around. The "Empire" crews were also at the Rialto on Tuesday.

The Rialto is able to generate a substantial amount of money from the facility rental to the TV show.
For instance, the Rialto generated a net profit of $58,375 as a result of the Fox television series using the Rialto for several days of filming last year.
Filotto said this week's use of the Rialto by the Empire crew would definitely generate "five figures."
"It's a very good revenue source for us," Filotto told Joliet Patch Wednesday. "'Empire' has been very good to work with. They provide their own security team. "

He said the television crew uses both the theater and the rotunda area.

TV crews black out all the windows of the Rialto's main level for lighting purposes and to avoid causing distractions for the actors and actresses, Filotto said. Joliet Police officers also were stationed downtown along North Chicago and Van Buren streets to help with traffic control and to keep vehicles off Van Buren, which is being used by Empire to keep their equipment.

#HipHopNews: J. Cole is Readying His New Album ‘The Fall Off’ For 2020!
J. Cole is gearing up to release his new album The Fall Off next year. He made the official announcement by launching a presidential-style campaign during his headlining performance at the Day N Vegas festival in Las Vegas on Friday (Nov. 1).
The Dreamville rapper opened his set with a campaign video touting his résumé including a “pen so potent, each word of his verses reportedly costs $2000.”
The clip, which was soundtracked by a presidential score, also included footage of Cole’s 2018 interview with Lil Pump. “We need someone with big ideas and bold solutions,” said the narrator. “Taking out the garbage, an expert in diplomacy, a candidate who can heal the intergenerational war.”

Cole then took the stage to “Middle Child” while fans held up signs that read “The Fall Off 2020” and members of his band wore hoodies with the campaign slogan. He performed old and new hits including “Count It Up,” “Power Trip,” and “Nobody’s Perfect,” and brought out his Dreamville crew for their Revenge of the Dreamers III collaborations. DaBaby also surprised the crowd with “Under the Sun” and his own hit “Suge.”
“Y’all give it up for the hottest rapper in the motherfu**ing country,” said Cole of his fellow North Carolina MC.

The Fall Off marks Cole’s sixth album, the follow-up to last year’s KOD, which was first teased on the KOD closer “1985 (Intro to ‘The Fall Off’).” He was reportedly working on the project prior to KOD, along with an album as his alter-ego, kiLL edward.

The Cleveland Browns cut Jermaine Whitehead after racist Twitter rant that included death threats!
The only question for the Cleveland Browns was why it took until Monday morning to cut safety Jermaine Whitehead after his ugly series of tweets following Sunday’s game.
Cleveland announced early Monday that Whitehead, a fourth-year safety who had started all eight games for the 2-6 Browns, had been waived.
That came after Whitehead went off on Twitter. In one particular response to Browns TV and radio broadcaster Dustin Fox saying, “Whitehead’s tackling today is a joke,” Whitehead responded with a slur and told Fox not to “get smoked.” Whitehead’s Twitter account was suspended.

#BoxOfficeNews: ‘Terminator’ Has a DISMAL Opening and ‘Harriet’ Scores, a Good Debut!
“Terminator: Dark Fate” — yet another $100 million-plus would-be blockbuster that opened to little box-office effect.
Theaters don’t make the movies, of course, but they do influence what studios make. At Cinemacon, exhibitors respond to clips from films like “Terminator: Dark Fate,” “Maleficent: Mistress of Evil,” and “Gemini Man” as if they represent roads paved with gold, while lustfully booing any mention of Netflix. This is the third big-budget flop this fall, and it reveals a myopia that could destroy the industry.
“Dark Fate” cost $185 million; this weekend, it grossed $29 million. Paramount greenlit the film almost three years ago, with James Cameron returning to hands-on control as producer and it heralded the return of original “Terminator” star Linda Hamilton. All involved assumed that worldwide this was surefire.

However, supposedly failsafe decisions like this one ignore the reality that streamers’ programming provides plenty of allure for viewers — and with that, clues for how future patrons would make their entertainment choices.
This weekend’s total came to around $115 million; last year, the same weekend made about $145 million. At the start of the fall, the question was if the remaining films of 2019 could make up a shortfall of about $500 million, or 5.5%. Instead, the gap has increased to nearly $600 million and 6%. This weekend’s four wide-opening films grossed $48 million total; last year, “Bohemian Rhapsody” debuted at $51 million. Netflix screens are not the problem.

Audiences often respond well to beloved franchises. But there’s also a generation gap at play: The people who greenlight these films know, love, and respect their predecessors, but the audience? Many don’t remember, don’t care, or may not even know the referent. The most frequent group of moviegoers are 18-24 years old, which means the original “Terminator” was released at least a decade before they were born. Clearly, a massive spend means nothing to this group, nor does Cameron’s supervision (which must be concerning for the “Avatar” sequels ahead). Studio must look beyond the comps, and their own experiences, to consider that a whole cornerstone of current production may be eroding.

Three other new films were original; combined, their budgets reached around $100 million. “Harriet,” the  least expensive (informed sources suggest around $17 million), did by far the best. Though aimed mostly at a domestic audience, targeted marketing far below a normal wide release gave it a chance to work. And with  an A+ Cinemascore, there are clear signs in the initial grosses of strong word of mouth.
Edward Norton’s passion project “Motherless Brooklyn” is another mixed-review prestige adaptation that arrived with a thud. Warners apparently kept its stake low (reportedly under $26 million), and didn’t go wider than needed (1,300+ theaters). This is the kind of project that needs everything to go just right; advance showings at key festivals are not enough.

The animated “Arctic Dogs” supposedly cost $60 million, although Byron Allen’s distribution company isn’t stuck with most of that. However, its poor $3.1 million start shows that family audiences are increasingly selective — and they can see the same or better on Netflix, and soon on Disney+.
The weekend’s saving grace, once again, is a handful of well-received films continue to have strong holds. It doesn’t get better than “Joker,” which dropped only 28% in its fifth weekend and now stands at $300 million; with similar strong foreign holds, the worldwide total is $934 million. That’s $66 million short of $1 billion, and without China, all on a $60 million budget.

“The Addams Family” shed only 29% and is headed for a domestic $100 million or better. “Maleficent” fell 37%; while it’s not a breakout, it will likely eke a profit following its further explotation on Disney+.

Airbnb Bans Party Houses Following Five Deaths At A Halloween Party “This Is Unacceptable”!
The death toll from an Orinda, California Halloween house party increased to five, as another shooting victim has succumbed to their injuries. In response to the tragedy, Airbnb CEO Brian Chesky has announced that the company is in the process of banning “party houses” on the platform.

In a series of tweets Saturday, Chesky stated, “We are redoubling our efforts to combat unauthorized parties and get rid of abusive host and guest conduct, including conduct that leads to the terrible events we saw in Orinda… We must do better, and we will. This is unacceptable.”
Chesky said that the San Francisco-based company will be expanding manual screening of “high risk” reservations and remove guests who fail to comply with policies banning parties at Airbnb rental homes. He also said the company is forming a “rapid response team” when complaints of unauthorized parties are reported. The Orinda property had house rules against parties. Airbnb says it has removed the listing from the site and banned the person who rented the home.

The owner of the property, Michael Wang, told the San Francisco Chronicle that he rented the home to a woman who claimed she was organizing a 12-person family reunion. After receiving noise complaints from neighbors, Wang checked his home security cameras and observed over a dozen people inside his home and called the police. “They were on the way to go there to stop them, but before we got there, the neighbor already sent us a message saying there was a shooting,” Wang said. “When we arrived there, the police were already there.”

According to the Washington Post, the shooting happened just before 11 p.m. Three victims were pronounced dead at the scene, and another died later at John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek, Contra Costa County’s trauma center. A fifth person died in the hospital late Friday night, the sheriff said in a statement. Police have identified the victims of the shooting as Tiyon Farley, 22, Omar Taylor, 24, Ramon Hill Jr., 23, Javin County, 29, and Oshiana Tompkins, 19.

As of late Friday, police have not identified any suspects nor a motive for the shooting. Officers said they found two guns at the house and are trying to determine whether they were used in the shooting or other crimes.

On Saturday night, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star discussed the weight gain in a video in her Instagram Story as she was about to hit the gym with trainer Melissa Alcantara, prior to eating dinner.
"OK, so we're doing a night workout before my dinner, which I never do with this one [Alcantara], but I figured we have to get into it at some point," Kim said in the clip. "And yeah, I mean, sometimes we fall off and sometimes you really gotta get it together and this is one of my fallen off times where I am, I think, 18 pounds up from what I was about a year ago, a year and a half ago."

"To feel good, I just want to get it like, a really good goal weight and so that means working out at all costs," she added. "It's my eating. I work out but it's like, my eating. But Melissa and I have a major goal for by the time I'm 40."

Bette Midler mocks Lori Loughlin's college admissions scandal: 'The judge might put her away for ... hours'!
By all accounts, Lori Loughlin is reportedly anguished about the three charges she’s facing over her alleged involvement in the college admissions scheme known as Operation Varsity Blues. Bette Midler, however, thinks that the Full House actress has nothing to worry about — because she’s a celebrity.

On Sunday, Midler took to Twitter to mock Loughlin’s legal woes after the former Hallmark Channel favorite and husband Mossimo Giannulli revealed their plans to plead not guilty to a new charge of conspiring "to commit federal program bribery.” The couple stand accused of paying a college admissions consultant a $500,000 bribe to get their two daughters, Olivia Jade and Bella Giannulli, into USC as crew recruits. Neither of the young women, who are no longer enrolled in USC, are actually involved with the sport.
In a reference to the 14-day prison sentence given to Felicity Huffman for her own role in the admissions scandal — the actress, who admitted paying to have her daughter’s test scores altered, was released after just 11 days — Midler cracked that, if found guilty, Loughlin would serve “hours.”

Midler’s joke echoed the backlash that came with Huffman’s sentencing, which many felt was too light given the substantial sentences for people of color in similar cases. Meghan McCain called the former Desperate Housewives star and husband William H. Macy “the poster children for what everyone hates about white privilege.” And while Loughlin is expected to get more jail time if she is ultimately found guilty, according to the U.S. attorney whose office is prosecuting the case, few of Midler’s fans felt sympathy for the Fuller House star.
Loughlin, who is scheduled for a Nov. 20 arraignment, has at least one person cheering her on: longtime co-star Bob Saget.

“I love the people I love and I have empathy for people that are in my life for 35 years,” the actor told Fox News last week when asked about Loughlin. “I don’t cut people out.”

“Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse” Sequel Gets A Spring 2022 Release Date!
Spider-Man lovers, set your calendar for April 8, 2022, as Sony has announced the day Miles Morales will make his return to theaters in the sequel to “Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse”.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the original Spider-Verse won the Oscar for a best-animated feature and was upheld for its innovative and creative animations and inclusive storytelling.
The animated film follows Miles Morales, voiced by Shameik Moore, a teenage boy who takes up the position of Spider-Man after the death of Peter Parker. Morales eventually teams up with a group of Spider-powered heroes with different skill sets in order to stop the Kingpin. The new twist of the classic film includes voiceovers from Jake Johnson, Hailee Steinfeld, Mahershala Ali and Brian Tyree Henry. The movie was produced by Phil Lord and Chris Miller, who will also be on the production side of the sequel.

As of now, the Spider-Verse sequel will be the only film set for that date. Reports say for Sony, Spider-Man maintains its place as the most important IP. The live-action Spider-Man: Far From Home, which was in collaboration with Marvel Studios, became Sony’s highest-grossing film this past summer with $1.13 billion globally.

Delta to Restore Same-Sex Love Scenes to ‘Booksmart’ And ‘Rocketman’ On Its Flights!
Delta Airlines will restore same-sex love scenes to its 2019 inflight movies “Booksmart” and “Rocketman,”
“We are immediately putting a new process in place for managing content available through Delta’s in-flight entertainment,” Delta said in a statement to Studios often provide videos in two forms: a theatrical, original version and an edited version. We selected the edited version and now realize content well within our guidelines was unnecessarily excluded from both films. We are working to make sure this doesn’t happen again.”

The airline confirmed this week that the versions of both films edited for fights omitted key same-sex love scenes involving its lead characters. The love scenes did not violate Delta’s guidelines, but other material did. Those unspecified violations led Delta to choose the edited version of the film to show. A Delta spokesperson said the guidelines are not made public.

“This is truly a bummer. There is no nudity in this scene. What makes it too obscene for airplane viewing? What airline? ” tweeted Wilde.
Later, Wilde added she had watched the original edited version of “Booksmart” on a flight and that a “third party company” was responsible for the edits to the film. “I finally had the chance to watch an edited version of Booksmart on a flight to see exactly what had been censored. Turns out some airlines work with a third party company that edits the movie based on what they deem inappropriate. Which, in our case, is … female sexuality?
A few days later, Entertainment Weekly digital director Shana Krochmal tweeted “almost every gay reference” had been cut from Delta’s inflight version of Elton John biopic “Rocketman,” including the love scene between stars Taron Egerton and Richard Madden.

A spokesperson for Delta said, “The studio has agreed to provide a special Delta edit that retains the LGBTQ+ love scenes in both ‘Booksmart’ and ‘Rocketman’ that will be on our flights as soon as possible. Currently, we have ‘Gentleman Jack,’ ‘Imagine Me and You,’ and ‘Moonlight’ onboard and countless content in the past that clearly shows it is not our practice to omit LGBTQ+ love scenes.”

An industry insider said that the films are not hosted on a cloud and cannot be instantaneously replaced.
