#RHOA: #TWIRL, Kenya Moore Tells BravoCon Fans to "Just Fast Forward" on Nene Leakes' on the show!
This season on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, someone has been noticeably absent thus far: That would be Nene Leakes. The same can be said of the couches at the Peach Tea Sip and See panel at BravoCon 2019, where Kenya Moore, Porsha Williams, Cynthia Bailey, and Eva Marcille gathered without their costar to spill the tea on all the happenings in the ATL. When moderator Sylvia Obell acknowledged Nene's absence, for one 'Wife in particular, there was no love lost.

"We're here because we wanted to be here for the fans," Kenya said of being at BravoCon. And when Nene ultimately does appear on Season 12 of RHOA (tune in Sunday night at 8/7c to see!), the former pageant queen is going to "just fast forward through her parts."

Earlier this month, Kenya said on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen that Nene is "pretty much dead to me." So, is there any hope of reconciliation ever?
“I was a girl before who would never say never," Kenya told the crowd at BravoCon. "With regard to Nene… I just think that relationship is done pretty much... This season [of RHOA] is phenomenal... You will learn why I don’t have any hope in having a relationship.”

During The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 11 After Show, Nene spoke about her issues with Kenya: "I am the kind of friend that when you call me, I make the time to talk to you. Kenya is the kind of friend that when she has time, she will call you, and there's a f--king difference. Kenya is not around for [Cynthia] to talk to and yet, she acts as if she and Kenya are friends. That's the problem that bothers me."

#Empire: Taraji P. Henson Says Disgraced Actor Jussie Smollett Is ‘Still My Baby’!
*FOX’s music drama “Empire” will soon come to an end, and series star Taraji P. Henson says she’s down for a cast reunion after the series wraps, but only if Jussie Smollett is involved.
“Oh, absolutely. [But,] we have to see Jussie [Smollett],” she explained to ABC Audio. “I feel like there’s really no way to wrap this show up without him. He was…and is such an integral part.”

Smollett was indicted earlier this year on 16 counts of disorderly conduct in Chicago for filing a false police report after claiming he was the victim of a homophobic hate crime in late January. All charges were eventually dropped, a decision that is currently being reviewed by a special prosecutor.
Smollett was written out of the final episodes of Season 5 after he was arrested and charged in connection with the incident, and he has been maintaining a low profile ever since.
“Empire” creator Lee Daniels confirmed in June that Smollett would not return as Jamal Lyon for the show’s final season.

“This is not factual,” Daniels tweeted. “Jussie will NOT be returning to Empire.”
But Henson, who plays Jussie onscreen mother, Cookie Lyon, says the cast “miss[es] him dearly.”
“That character was very important to our show, especially for the LGBT community,” she says. “So, we’re trying to keep him alive without him being there.”
“I know Cookie is because that was her baby,” she continues. “Still her baby. And he my baby — still in real life.”

“Empire” airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on Fox.

#HipHopNews: Tory Lanez’ Wants You To Stream His Album ‘Chixtape 5’!
After much anticipation, Tory Lanez unleashes Chixtape 5, the fifth installment in his popular throwback series. And this time he’s not playing around. Not only did he remake some of his favorite R&B hits from the early 2000s, but he also got the original artists to appear on them.
Ashanti revisits her 2002 smash “Foolish” on “A Fool’s Tale” (and also appears on the cover), Lil Wayne and Lloyd remake “You” on “Thoughts,” and Chris Brown turns up on “The Take,” a 2019 update of “Take You Down.”
“When me and Chris work, we just work mad fast,” Tory told Rap-Up. “I didn’t think he would do it honestly and he just came out the clutch and sent it one day.”

Other guests on the nostalgic 18-track set include Snoop Dogg, Ludacris, Jagged Edge, Jermaine Dupri, The-Dream, MΓ½a, Trey Songz, Fabolous, and more.
This marks the first time Tory has released a Chixtape to streaming services. The first mixtape dropped in 2011 and quickly became a fan favorite, leading to three more in 2014, 2015, and the latest, Chixtape 4, in 2017.

NFL tried to put Colin Kaepernick in legal checkmate At his Workouts in Georgia!
The NFL’s Colin Kaepernick dog-and-pony show about nothing was about something, after all.

It was about extinguishing the second lawsuit that Kaepernick could file for ongoing collusion plus retaliation against him for his first grievance that was settled for a payment reportedly between $1 million and $10 million.
That’s the inescapable conclusion from the assertion, as made by Kaepernick’s lawyer and Kaepernick’s agent, that the NFL demanded that he sign a broad waiver, including a waiver of potential employment claims.

Let that one sink in. The league, under the guise of acting out of the goodness of its own heart and/or to assuage the guilt of 32 months of Kaepernick being wrongfully denied an opportunity, set up a workout for all teams (even though any team could work him out at any time) and then, as he showed up for it, asked him to sign a waiver that not only protected the league and the Falcons against a torn ACL or some other injury that could have happened during the workout but also exonerated the league of any and all responsibility for the violations of his rights that may have (have) occurred since he grievance was settled in February.

As a source with knowledge of the situation tells PFT, when Kaepernick’s camp suggested a standard injury waiver that didn’t sweep broadly to absolve the NFL from its ongoing violation of his rights, league representatives said that the proposed release had been drafted by NFL general counsel Jeff Pash, and that Pash wanted his release to be signed.
Pash’s name constantly has been mentioned behind the scenes as the person who was believed to have devised this entire scheme. From Kaepernick’s perspective, it wasn’t about Roger Goodell cleansing his conscience, and it wasn’t about Jay-Z repairing his reputation. It was about Pash, recognizing that the failure to buy out Kaepernick’s ongoing employment rights in February coupled with an ongoing cold shoulder created the very real possibility for a second lawsuit that would have taken far more cold hard cash from the league than the first one.

By moving the workout from the Falcons’ facility to a new location, Kaepernick has escaped checkmate, and he has escaped a potential checkmate. If any team representatives who were ready to watch him work out at the Falcons’ facility fails to attend the session at the alternate location, the end result could be legal checkmate for the NFL.

At this point, given the clumsy, awkward manner in which Pash’s scheme has played out, the only way to avoid a second lawsuit from Kaepernick could be to do what should have been done in the first place, if the league truly wanted to help Kaepernick: Pick up the phone and make whatever deal has to be made behind the scenes with one of the NFL’s teams to give the guy a job.

Netflix Responds to Mo’Nique Pay Discrimination Lawsuit: ‘Our Opening Offer to Mo’Nique Was Fair’!
Netflix has responded to actress and comedian Mo’Nique’s pay discrimination lawsuit filed in Los Angeles Superior Court Thursday.
“We care deeply about inclusion, equity, and diversity and take any accusations of discrimination very seriously. We believe our opening offer to Mo’Nique was fair — which is why we will be fighting this lawsuit,” a spokesperson for Netflix said in a statement to TheWrap.
Mo’Nique’s complaint accused Netflix of gender and race discrimination, saying that the company had given her a “low-ball” and “discriminatory” offer of $500,000 as a “talent fee” for a one-hour stand-up special, while other comedians were offered millions of dollars per special.

“When the talent was not a Black woman, Netflix offered to pay, and did pay, astronomically more than it pays to Black women like it offered to Mo’Nique,” the complaint reads. It also lists several other comedians and what they were paid by Netflix for comparison.
The filing goes on to say that “Netflix reportedly offered or paid [Chris] Rock, [Dave] Chapelle [sic], [Ellen] Degeneris [sic], and [Ricky] Gervais forty (40) times more per show than it offered Mo’Nique, and it offered [Amy] Schumer twenty-six (26) times more per show than Mo’Nique. In short, Netflix’s offer to Mo’Nique perpetuates the drastic wage gap forced upon Black women in the America’s workforce.”

Mo’Nique confirmed that she had filed a lawsuit in an Instagram post on Thursday.

“Hey My Loves — I can confirm that today I filed a pay discrimination lawsuit against Netflix,” she wrote in the post. “I had a choice to make: I could accept what I felt was pay discrimination or I could stand up for those who came before me and those who will come after me. I chose to stand up. I don’t have any further comment this time, but I appreciate all of your support and love.”

Lizzo Sued For Defamation By Postmates Driver!
Lizzo is facing legal action from a Postmates driver. In the lawsuit, obtained by TMZ, Tiffany Wells says that the “Truth Hurts” hitmaker turned her life upside down when she blasted her on Twitter and claimed she stole her food while delivering an order to Lizzo’s Boston hotel in September.
“Hey @Postmates this girl Tiffany W. stole my food she lucky I don’t fight no more,” Lizzo tweeted to her near-million followers on Sept. 15 along with a photo of Wells.
Wells reportedly tried to contact Lizzo and even went to the hotel concierge to no avail. After waiting 10 minutes, she finally left.

Lizzo deleted the original tweet and later apologized to Wells. “I apologize for putting that girl on blast,” she wrote. “I understand I have a large following and that there were so many variables that could’ve put her in danger. Imma really be more responsible with my use of social media and check my petty and my pride at the door.”
Wells is now suing Lizzo for defamation and intentional infliction of emotional distress. She says she was afraid to leave her home and go to work after the incident. As a result, she no longer works for Postmates and claims she was subject to ridicule, humiliation, and stress.

Wells says Postmates sided with her, and she moved on to the next delivery like she was supposed to after she couldn’t reach Lizzo.

Billboard Releases List Of 125 Artists Of All Time; The Beatles, Elton John, And Mariah Carey Make Top Five!
In celebration of #Billboard’s 125th anniversary, the charts team has constructed a list of the top 125 artists of all time. Its No. 1 pick is #TheBeatles.
The list was released on Thursday and includes several artists of different genres like pop, rock, and r&b. The top 10 artists from one to 10 include The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, EltonJohn, Mariah Carey, Madonna, Barbara Streisand, Michael Jackson, Taylor Swift, Stevie Wonder, and Chicago. Whitney Houston is the 11th artist; #CelineDion is No.33 while Aretha Franklin is No.34. Adele is in front of Beyonce as No. 26.

During an interview with Billboard, Carey commented on what it feels like to be the top-charting female solo artist in history. “Oh, my God. To see the success on all the different charts, to hear you say that is mind-blowing. I never, ever dreamt of this when I first started. I just wanted to hear my songs on the radio,” Carey said. The writer and producer who has 18 No.1 hits on the chart said that her idea of success is just a little different than it once was.
“It means the same thing that it has always meant: You have to be able to sit back and say, ‘Wow, I had some success here, and let me not bask in it but at least be aware of it.’ In the beginning of my career, it was so much about pushing forward and pushing through obstacles and adversity that I didn’t get to take in the moment that much.”

She continued, “This past year, with the whole “Obsessed” challenge when it reentered the charts — do you know what I’m referring to? I have 8-year-old twins, and they’re not allowed to watch TikTok yet, but they’re sitting there watching all these 13-, 14-year-old kids doing this little “Obsessed” [dance] challenge, which took on a life of its own. It became a thing. It had a huge.”

Cardi B May Be Willing To End Her Beef With Nicki Minaj!
Cardi B may have had a drama-filled year, but she's "ready to forgive." The "Press" rapper took to Instagram earlier this week to let the world know that before 2019 ends, she wants to squash all of her beefs.
"I don't want to end this year on bad terms with anyone," read the meme. "APOLOGIZE TO ME." Cardi additionally captioned the post, "I’m ready to forgive ya πŸ˜©πŸ˜‚."

While she didn't call anyone out by name, it wouldn't be a stretch to assume that her funny, but somewhat serious Instagram peace offering, includes squashing her beef with her longtime nemesis, Nicki Minaj. As fans know, Nicki appeared to reignite their feud by throwing some not-so-subtle shade at Cardi during an interview with Joe Budden in August. And since Cardi is Cardi, she appeared to fire back with some not-so-subtle shade of her own.

In addition to putting the drama behind her in 2019, Cardi is moving forward with her sophomore album. In a recent interview with Billboard, the Rhythm + Flow judge said, "it's practically all I'm focusing on."
The Bronx rapper also shared how this time around, she's found herself struggling at times with deciding to make the music she likes versus making the music she thinks her audience wants to hear. "There's certain music that I want to do, but I feel like, is people interested in that? I feel like things have changed," Cardi admitted. "It's more like a twerk sound going on right now. It's just like, 'Should I just do my music around that?' But I cannot just go with what's hot. I still gotta go with what I want to do."
The 27-year-old rapper then recalled how she found a way to deliver both the music her fans wanted to hear while also remaining true to herself when working on her highly successful debut album, Invasion of Privacy. "I was going with what I want people to hear, and what I like, so that's what I'm doing now," she said. "I'm just having fun in the studio, because if you think, 'My first album was like this, I gotta have the same recipe,' it's just not gonna work."

#POLITICS: Democratic Gov. John Bel Edwards Beats Trump Pick In Louisiana!
Louisiana’s Democratic Gov. John Bel Edwards has won reelection against Republican contender and Donald Trump pick Eddie Rispone.
The Associated Press declared Edwards the winner just hours after the polls closed, and Rispone conceded. “How sweet it is!” a delighted Bel Edwards declared to celebrating supporters, according to The Associated Press. “Tonight the people of Louisiana have chosen to chart their own path.”

As for Trump, who campaigned vigorously against him, the governor quipped: “God bless his heart.” It’s a phrase Southerners often use to politely knock someone.
The narrow victory was widely regarded as a referendum on Trump in a deeply red state. It was the second gubernatorial race this month that the president failed to turn for the Republicans. Bel Edwards won 51.3% of the vote to Rispone’s 48.7%, a difference of just over 40,000 votes.
As he conceded, Rispone urged his supporters to give a round of applause for Trump, saying: “That man loves America and he loves Louisiana.”

Trump campaigned hard for Rispone, a Baton Rouge businessman. The president urged Louisiana residents in a tweet Saturday to get out and vote for the Republican because he will “get your taxes and auto insurance ... way down.” At one of his three recent campaign rallies in the state, Trump called Bel Edwards a “liberal Democrat who has sold you out.” Bel Edwards, who is actually a conservative Democrat, is the only Democratic governor in the Deep South.
Trump has tried to claim credit for Louisiana’s strengthening economy. Ironically, Bel Edwards pointed to the same economy and his role in it during his campaign. He also campaigned on closing a $2 billion budget deficit he inherited from Republican predecessor Bobby Jindal.

Rispone had no political record to run on, and relied on his support for and from Trump to win. Trump won the state by 20 percentage points in 2016. Rispone’s first two election ads featured the president, and included no footage of the candidate, according to The New York Times. When Rispone opened a rally earlier this week, he began by saying he had just spoken to Trump on the phone, eliciting a chant of “Trump! Trump! Trump!”

Bel Edwards was only 2 percentage points ahead in recent polling for the state race. But 52% of respondents in a Morning Consult poll said they approved of the job he is doing.
Early voting Saturday broke a non-presidential election record for the state, and the share of the ballots cast by Black voters climbed since the primary — which both appeared to be good signs for Bel Edwards, noted CNBC. State officials expected a 51% turnout Saturday, compared with just 40% for the last gubernatorial election in 2015, according to the Times.

The GOP flooded the state with millions of dollars in ad money, as well as visits from Trump, Donald Trump Jr. and Vice President Mike Pence. Republicans managed to force a runoff after Bel Edwards failed to grab more than 50 percent of the vote in the primary last month. Rispone won 27% of the vote in the primary, but that plus the votes for third-term Republican Congressman Ralph Abraham kept Bel Edwards from winning outright.

Incumbent Kentucky Republican Gov. Matt Bevin went down to defeat earlier this month against his Democratic rival Andy Beshear, even though Trump campaigned for Bevin
