#RHoA: Phaedra Accuses Apollo Nida of Lying About Paying For Home
According to our friends over at theJasmineBRAND.com Phaedra Parks is blasting her estranged husband Apollo Nida for allegedly lying about him contributing money for their Georgia home. The reality star says she purchased the home they shared and points out that he stated a completely different story under oath.

Here’s the latest: Phaedra has responded to her estranged husband, accusing him of lying about contributing to the down payment & mortgage for their Georgia home.
She points to the deposition that Apollo gave under oath, in which he states he did not contribute anything at all to the down payment for the home.

Further, she claims that he admitted the mortgage was solely in Phaedra’s name and she paid the bill. He was asked if he ever paid anything towards the mortgage to which he replied
"No, ma’am." Apollo also said he did not know much about her finances due to them having separate finances since they were married.

Here’s the backstory:  Last month, Apollo filed docs recently in the never-ending divorce battle with Phaedra, demanding the judge throw out the pre-nuptial agreement they signed before their wedding.
The reality star accused his wife of not providing a full and complete disclosure of her finances and misrepresented her financial condition.

He is adamant during their marriage he contributed a significant amount of money as a down payment to purchase their martial home in Atlanta, despite the home titled solely to Phaedra. Apollo claims he purchased thousands of dollars’ worth of furniture and personal property in the home and contributed money to upgrades

LOL!

#NEWMUSIC from Lloyd feat. Rick Ross – Heavenly Body
Lloyd returns with a brand new visual for “Heavenly Body” featuring Rick Ross, off his acclaimed TRU EP.

The R&B crooner joins Rozay at his lavish Georgia estate in the Ryan Synder-directed video. Sensual scenes of Lloyd in intimate situations with his female co-star are interspersed between shots on the rural property while the sun sets in the background.

Ross’ female-friendly verse blends perfectly with Lloyd’s towering falsetto. Later, the singer’s steamy shower scene takes center stage during the climax of the video.

Lloyd has been performing various shows in support of his 2016 project, while he continues crafting his anticipated new album, Out My Window. The LP will be his first full-length album since 2011’s King of Hearts.

#HIPHOPNEWS: Brooklyn Basketball Court To Be Named After The Notorious B.I.G.
What took so long? A Brooklyn playground will be getting renamed after the late, great Notorious B.I.G.
The New York Daily News reports that City Councilman Robert Cornegy plans to cut the ribbon in a formal ceremony at the  Crispus Attucks Playground on Fulton St. and Classon Ave. in Bedford-Stuyvesant, BK.
“This honor is very personal to me,” Cornegy, who promised Biggie’s mom, Voletta Wallace, he would make the honor happen. “Twenty years later, this comes full circle, this renaming of the basketball courts in his honor.”

The ceremony is scheduled to go down in early August, just before the start of an annual basketball tournament at the park held in B.I’G.’s honor.
Of course, as for what took so long, there was bound to be a hater.

Reports DNAInfo New York:
The approval by the Parks Department comes after a contentious debate at Community Board 2, at which detractors argued that Biggie’s lyrics about drug dealing and violence and disparaging comments about women made him an unfit role model for the young people who play at the court.

“When we name something, we’re saying this is somebody we should respect or want to emulate,” said Lucy Koteen, who arrived at the June 19 meeting with fliers printed with lyrics she found objectionable. “Would we name it Al Capone Basketball Court? Would we name it after Bernie Madoff?”

Koteen, a former public member of the board’s Transportation Committee, in 2013 opposed the renaming of the corner of St. James Place and Fulton Street “Christopher Wallace Way” because the rapper was “too fat.”
Oh well, Koteen can now kick all the rocks.

Rest in power Christopher Wallace aka The Notorious B.I.G.

Kevin Hart Responds To Cheating Accusations
While his fans are debating whether or not the reports of him allegedly cheating on his pregnant wife are true, Kevin Hart is laughing at “the BS.”
Radar Online claims the comedian and actor was spotted in Miami “canoodling” with a tenderoni in the wee hours of the morning.

But, the video they posted only appeared to show Kevin in the car chatting with the women and maybe flirting with his killer smile.

The Shade Room is reporting the women in the car is an aspiring singer named Monique
Kevin never addressed the accusations directly, however, he did opt to “laugh at the BS.”
Oh well She favors his wife tho!

OJ Simpson has been Paroled from Prison!
A Nevada parole board decided Simpson should be freed after the former NFL star apologized for his role in a 2007 armed robbery, said he'd been a model prisoner, and promised that he'd have no conflicts if released.
Simpson's appearance before the board garnered wall-to-wall coverage from cable news shows, coverage that recalled the "trial of the century," and the many months more than 20 years ago when it transfixed a nation.
"I've done my time," Simpson said. "I've done it as well and as respectfully as I think anyone can."

Now 70, Simpson's energy seemed little affected by his time behind bars. He was alert, engaged, and quick to smile, even letting out a hearty laugh when parole board Chairman Connie Bisbee accidentally said he was aged 90. "I feel like it," he said.
Simpson has served nine years of a nine-to-33-year sentence for an armed robbery and kidnapping in Las Vegas. He is expected to be released as early as October -- and said he plans to move to his home in Florida.
An entire generation of Americans has come of age since Simpson seemed an almost inescapable public figure. But for one afternoon, it felt like 1995 again.
That was the year he was acquitted of murder charges in the grisly slayings of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman.

Thursday's parole hearing followed renewed interest in his story, which was explored last year in the award-winning documentary "O.J.: Made in America" and the FX true-crime drama "The People v. O.J. Simpson."
Though it's been 22 years since the not guilty verdict, the murder trial's themes of criminal justice and race, trust in police, celebrity and domestic violence remain remarkably resonant in modern culture. "We talk about O.J. as though the story is O.J.," journalist Celia Farber says toward the end of the "Made in America" documentary. "The story is O.J. and us."(CNN)

Jada Pinkett Smith Says She Was a Drug Dealer When She Met Tupac Shakur
Jada Pinkett Smith is opening up about her troubled past.
During an appearance on SiriusXM’s Sway in The Morning on Wednesday, the actress revealed that she was dealing drugs when she met Tupac Shakur for the first time.

“It’s kind of hard because I haven’t really told the whole story,” she said of her relationship with the late rapper. “One of the things that’s very interesting that I’ve never really said before is that when I first met Pac, I was a drug dealer.”
“That’s how we started,” she continued. “Then as I was coming out, something very bad happened to me. As I was coming out of the life, he was coming more into the life.”
The actress’ enduring and tumultuous friendship with Shakur has long been the subject of scrutiny. As young students in the mid-’80s, Pinkett Smith and Shakur bonded quickly.

“Pac and I’s relationship was about survival,” she said. “That’s how it started. I know that most people want to always connect it in this romance thing and that’s just because they don’t have the story. It was based in survival, how we held each other down and when you have somebody that has your back when you feel like you’re nothing, that’s everything. There’s a lot of components to our story that we’ve never shared for a very specific reason. I just decided that this one little piece was important to share finally because it gives more insight to who we were. It was about survival and it’s always been about survival between us.”

When Shakur was killed in September 1996, Pinkett Smith, 45, hadn’t been speaking to her friend after a heated argument about their changing lives.
Last month, the actress took to social media to correct what she said are misrepresentations of her relationship with the late rapper in the new biopic All Eyez on Me.
“The reimagining of my relationship to Pac has been deeply hurtful,” she began, explaining in another Tweet, “Forgive me … my relationship to Pac is too precious to me for the scenes in All Eyez On Me to stand as truth.”

Oh?

Black Pastor Leaves Evangelical Organization Over Its Support for Trump
*Black scholar and minister Lawrence Ware is speaking out about his reason for cutting ties with the Southern Baptist Convention, America’s largest Protestant Christian denomination.

In a New York Times op-ed on Monday, Ware, who works as co-director of the Center for Africana Studies at Oklahoma State University, said the SBC hasn’t done nearly enough to address its racist past, or to help curb racism in present day.

“As a black scholar of race and a minister who is committed to social justice, I can no longer be part of an organization that is complicit in the disturbing rise of the so-called alt-right, whose members support the abhorrent policies of Donald Trump and whose troubling racial history and current actions reveal a deep commitment to white supremacy,” wrote Ware.
In a conversation with HuffPost, Ware said that he’s spoken to a number of black members who have also felt frustrated by the way the SBC handles race. He says at least five black ministers he knows have left the denomination quietly over the past year. But Ware felt it was important to speak up about his views.

“For me, it’s important to articulate why I was leaving. Leaving quietly leaves the system unchanged and doesn’t force [the SBC] to address the voices of those who are marginalized,” he said.

The SBC is a national network of autonomous, predominantly white, evangelical Protestant churches. As previously reported, the denomination drew headlines in June when, at its annual meeting, its leaders initially refused to consider a resolution submitted by a black pastor that condemned white supremacy and the alt-right, a group that seeks to re-inject racism and anti-Semitism into the American conservative movement.

After significant backlash from outraged black and progressive clergy members, the delegates approved another version of the resolution the next day. The revised version was passed near unanimously.

In another serious misstep, faculty members at a Southern Baptist seminary in Texas staged a photo mimicking stereotypes of black rappers ― posing with hoodies, bandanas, chain necklaces and a gun. The university president later apologized for the photo.

Ware said what really helped him see the deep racial divisions in the SBC are surveys that show the extent to which white evangelical Protestants support Trump’s policies. A whopping 81 percent of white evangelicals voted for Trump in the past election. In April, a Pew Research Center survey found that 8 in 10 white evangelicals who attend church at least once a month approve of how the president is leading the country.

These Four Faces Served The Runway At The Valerian Premiere!
At the Valerian premiere proved the perfect opportunity for Cara Delevingne, Kendall Jenner, Sasha Lane and Rihanna to flaunt their individual sartorial signatures on the black carpet.
One opted to stick close to the film's sci-fi script while another brought a mash-up of tough shapes and feminine fabrics. The linear that united the foursome was a trust in their own sense of style and embracing their individual looks.
Cara Delevingne
Choosing a design by modernist couturier Iris van Herpen, Cara's dress referenced the sci-fi theme of the film. First seen at the designer's winter 2017 show, the dress is made up of silver metallic strands that come together to shape a halter-neck gown with a knee-high front split.
Star of the film Cara proved that a cropped hairstyle has more dexterity than we usually give them credit for. Moving on from her bleached blonde crop seen at the Chanel show, the model-turned-actress used the help of a hair piece to create an asymmetric finger-wave look that mirrored the pattern of her slinky gown.
Kendall Jenner
Stepping out in support of her friend, Kendall seized the opportunity to exercise her ability in super-glam dressing. Keeping to a strict all-black colour palette, Kendall's Carmen March minidress proved that the 21-year-old is continuing her sartorial ascent. All else that was added in was a pair of pointy patent courts and a selection of black diamond earrings. Simple.
While her overall look might have been simple, Kendall's tousled and well blown-out hair brought a softer retro touch to the monochrome look. Her gentle cat-eye flick and rosy pink lip is an easy beauty look to emulate now.
Rihanna
Quite simply, no one pulls off baby pink like RiRi. Here, she lifts the shade from her gown and applies the rosy colour to her Chopard earrings and eyeshadow. Her hair slung back in a high ponytail brings a nonchalant laid-back addition to the otherwise glamorous look.
Angelic personified. Rihanna's sugar-sweet, puff-ball sleeve Giambattista Valli gown was yet another display of the Valerian star's style dexterity. The addition of custom coordinating Manolo Blahniks' toughened it up and made for a dramatic pairing.
Sasha Lane
With her beaded dreadlocks pulled back and skin left fuss-free, actress Sasha proved that sometimes a scant application of eye colour is all the red carpet needs.
For this 21-year-old, the evening's event called for a military approach. A khaki dress with trailing taffeta by Moschino was coordinated with a favourite pair of chunky Louis Vuitton boots. The mix of feminine fabrics with tough detailing makes for a fresh and youthful take on premiere dressing.
FAB!

Blac Chyna’s Ex Pilot Jones: ‘She’s a Master Manipulator’
Pilot Jones opened up to Us Weekly about being cyberbullied by Blac Chyna and Rob Kardashian last year after the reality stars engaged in their own social media feud earlier this month.
Jones says he started dating the 29-year-old model in late 2015, but they never made their relationship official. "We actually met at a party that I was hosting, so we got really close around the end of 2015 for sure,” he tells Us. "We didn't have to put a title on anything. We both kind of knew how we felt about each other.”

By January 2016, Chyna got serious with Kardashian, but the singer says he remained friends with her. "Most of our relationship at that point was pretty much business. We were really, really great friends,” he says. "I just don't like some of the decisions she's made as of recent, but other than that she's a great person.”

However, after a photo of Jones and Chyna kissing was leaked online last October, their friendship went south. Chyna’s then-fiancΓ©, Kardashian, 30, accused Jones of distributing the pic and allegedly made multiple threats via text. The Lashed Bar salon owner also outed Jones as bisexual when she took to social media to share alleged private texts with Jones, in which he discussed his sexuality.
“She's not a little bit of a bully, she clearly did bully me — there's no ‘little bit’ to it,” Jones tells Us. “The fact is that she tried to intimidate me via social media, and I don't think that that is OK, and I don't think that that's right. At the end of the day, all of us in this situation are parents and look at the example that we are teaching. … These platforms are being used to really harass people. I was outed on social media."

Jones denies Chyna’s past claims that he leaked the photo for publicity and extorted her for money. The musician claims that he brought her a lucrative business deal, and he was never compensated for it, so he discussed it with Chyna’s attorney. "I think that this was just another you know, another mastermind manipulation that she does,” he says. "She's a master manipulator."
The R&B star continues, "I'm not the only bisexual man that Blac Chyna has dated, and I was not the last, you know what I'm saying? I feel like the thing that brought us together, she's used against me. She tried to make me feel ashamed of who I am, and that's not OK."

After the incident, Jones says he entered a “deep depression,” and his two sons were bullied at school. "Literally my lowest point in my life,” he tells Us. "I look back at it and I don't understand how I even made it.”
In the aftermath, he has started a foundation named after his kids called the Austin Aaron Foundation to bring awareness to cyberbullying. He’s also turned to Buddhism and music to cope, he says: “What's gotten me through my depression was writing about the situation and putting it on paper."

Ryan Seacrest Will Host ‘American Idol’ Reboot
Seacrest …back in! Ryan Seacrest announced on Thursday, July 20, that he will join ABC’s American Idol reboot as the show’s host.
Seacrest’s Live With Kelly and Ryan cohost, Kelly Ripa, helped him reveal the news on their Thursday morning show. “Ryan Seacrest is returning as the host of American Idol!” Ripa, 46, said, to which Seacrest added: “I am so excited. It’s gonna be the best time.”

ABC announced in May that they are bringing back the beloved singing competition, which was originally on Fox. So far, the only confirmed celebrity to appear on the show is Katy Perry, who will serve as a judge. A source previously told Us that Idol alum Chris Daughtry will also join the judging panel.
Seacrest, who hosted the original Fox series from 2002 to 2016, recently addressed speculation that he would be returning to the hit talent competition and explained it would be difficult to host Live on the East Coast while also hosting Idol on the West Coast. “We haven’t gotten that far,” he said on Live in May. "This was news to me last week. I had said at the end of the series, 'Goodbye for now,’ hoping somewhere it would come back."

Although there has been some rumored contention between networks over the show’s reboot, Seacrest is excited to bring the series to his new network. "I believe ABC is the perfect home for Idol, and I’ve every confidence the show’s legions of fans will love it,” he said in a statement on Thursday. “Especially Idol's best traditions of showcasing heartwarming stories, remarkable talent discovery, and, best of all, making dreams come true.”
