#RHOA: Cynthia Bailey Confirms She And Peter Thomas Are Separated
Cynthia Bailey confirms that she and her husband, Peter Thomas, are separated after nearly six years of marriage, in a recent interview with Daily Dish.

“Peter and I are separated. He lives in Charlotte, and I live in Atlanta,” she revealed. “I am definitely taking some time to myself to figure out how I want to move forward. I don’t want to rush into anything, so I think this time apart is good for us.”‘
Tension mounted in the couple’s marriage during the latest season of Real Housewives of Atlanta, and Cynthia says the break is good for the both of them.

“I think the space apart, I think he can appreciate it as well,” she said. “I think it gives people time to think and process and just move forward in a way that really is healthy for everyone involved.”
While she says she doesn’t know what the future holds for her and Peter, Cynthia says she’s confident that he’ll still be in her life. She also says that although the decision of whether they’ll stay married or not, is something they have to decide soon – but in the meantime, she’s enjoying the time apart.
“Regardless of where I am with Peter, he is my husband. I will always love him, and I will always support him. And I believe he feels the same about me,” she continues. “Whether or not we decide to stay married or not, that’s something that we have to decide soon. But right now, I’m enjoying the time apart, taking time for myself.”

The couple tied the knot on an episode of RHoA, during Season 3 of the show (in 2011).

Stacey Dash Talks Being Molested at Age 4, Physically Abused, Drug Addicted & More
*Actress-turned-Fox News pundit Stacey Dash is opening up about her violent and troubled past in a new book titled, “There Goes My Social Life.”

Dash 49, says she was four years old, living in South Bronx, when she was molested for the first time by a 16-year-old family acquaintance. At 16, she snorted her first line of cocaine, and it quickly became a habit.
“I couldn’t find happiness,” Dash tells People.com. “It got to a point where I didn’t even want to live anymore. The voice in my head was saying, ‘There’s nothing here for you.'”
She appears to connect her infamous call for the removal of Black History Month and BET to being raised in a culture of drugs and violence. She says people raised in these environments rely on social welfare programs. And…”When you get stuff for free, you have no self-worth. When you have no self-worth, you become depressed, addicted and either abused or an abuser. This is what perpetuates the cycle of violence in inner cities. We don’t need free stuff. We need opportunities.”
“When I say there should not be a BET channel or a Black History Month, I’m saying we deserve more,” says Dash. “I just hope people understand that I’m not judging; I’m coming from experience.”
Dash says she was still doing drugs by her early 20s and began dating a man who ended up physically abusing her.
“He would punch me in my body, my legs, my chest, anything that could be covered,” says Dash. “But part of me felt like I deserved it because what I was coming from was no better. I didn’t have an identity. That’s why I fight for women and people in the inner cities today. I want them to know it will get better.”
Dash ended things with her abuser and had just begun dating singer Christopher Williams when she learned she was pregnant with Williams’ child.

Reveals Dash: “When I got pregnant, I was doing a lot of drugs and I didn’t want to live. I wanted to die. I was going to have an abortion. I was crying and I said to God, ‘Please tell me what to do.’ And God told me, ‘Keep your son.’ I ripped the IV out of my arm and I said, ‘I’m keeping my son.'”
And as a mother to Austin, now 25, and daughter Lola, 12, Dash says she’ll be honest with children about her past.
“The best way to protect my children is to be honest with them,” says Dash. “I let them know that I survived. I’m not a victim. And there is nothing

Troy Ave Pleads Not Guilty To Attempted Murder, Held Without Bail
On Monday (May 30), just days after a deadly nightclub shooting at a T.I. concert, Troy Ave appeared in Manhattan Criminal Court, where he was formally charged with attempted murder and criminal possession of a weapon.
Chriss B
Troy’s lawyers, Scott E. Leemon and John Stella, requested $50,000 bail, stressing the fact that the Brooklyn MC, born Roland Collins, had no criminal record. Despite this, Judge Pandit-Durant ordered that he be held without bail until trial.

Leemon and Stella have argued that Troy was not to blame for the shootout at Irving Plaza on the night of the T.I. show. One of the rapper’s bodyguards, Ronald McPhatter, was killed that evening. Three people were wounded, including Ave, who reportedly shot himself in the leg, though his lawyers claim he was actually shot at. The wounded rapper appeared in court in a wheelchair.
“He’s the real victim here,” Leemon told the judge (via The New York Times). “McPhatter died a hero trying to protect Mr. Collins. He was not shot by Mr. Collins. He was a lifelong friend.”
Detective John Santiago charged Troy with murder based on released security camera footage that features a man firing a gun. Police claim the man in the video is Ave.
“This 11 seconds of video that the NYPD released, it doesn’t say what happened before, it doesn’t say what happened after,” Leemon said. “The scientific evidence will show he didn’t shoot himself.”
Troy’s lawyers allege that Ave and his bodyguard were shot at by an unnamed man in the club’s backstage area, as per Rolling Stone. The shooter then dropped the gun, they say. Ave reportedly picked it up and fired back. Collins has pled not guilty on all charges

Police Investigating Parents In Cincinnati Zoo Incident, Mom Defends Herself Against Backlash
The parents of the 4-year-old boy who fell into a gorilla enclosure at the Cincinnati Zoo, Michelle Gregg and Deonne Dickerson, are being investigated by police – it was announced on Tuesday.

According to ABC News: Authorities said the investigation will look at the parents’ actions leading up to the incident — not the operation of the zoo, which is overseen by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Police will then confer with prosecutors over whether charges should be filed, Hamilton County Prosecutor Joe Deters said.

The incident has triggered a furor online, with some saying the boy’s mother should be charged with child endangering, while others want the zoo held responsible for the animal’s death. Separately, USDA said it will investigate Saturday’s incident for any violations of the Animal Welfare Act.
Zoo authorities said the unidentified boy climbed over a 3-foot-high railing, walked through bushes and plunged about 15 feet into a shallow moat. The zoo’s dangerous-animal response team killed the gorilla as it dragged the boy through the water, authorities said. The boy had only minor scrapes on his head and knee, according to police.
Ohio State University criminal law professor Ric Simmons said he doubts a charge of child endangering could be proved in this instance, since the offense typically involves leaving a youngster unattended for an extended time, not a case of a child momentarily wandering off. “The mother was standing next to a zoo exhibit and lost track of her child for perhaps a minute or so,” Simons said in an email. “That has happened to almost every parent in the world in a public place.”

The 400 pound gorilla, Harambe, that dragged the child through the water after he fell into the enclosure, was shot by the rescue team – sparking a firestorm of social media criticism. While some took aim at the zoo, others stated that the 4-year-old’s mother should have kept closer watch on him.

Gregg took to Facebook shortly after Saturday’s incident, to defend herself against backlash. In the post, which has since been deleted, she wrote:
“God protected my child until the authorities were able to get to him. My son is safe and was able to walk away with a concussion and a few scrapes… no broken bones or internal injuries.”
She continued: “As a society we are quick to judge how a parent could take their eyes off of their child and if anyone knows me I keep a tight watch on my kids. Accidents happen…”

Meanwhile, the zoo stands by its decision. If they had to do it again, they would respond the same way, the director, Thame Maynard, said.

“That child’s life was in danger. People who question that don’t understand you can’t take a risk with a silverback gorilla — this is a dangerous animal,” explained Maynard. “Looking back, we’d make the same decision. The child is safe.”

Rob Kardashian And Blac Chyna Land Their Own Reality Show
Rob Kardashian and his pregnant fiancee Blac Chyna will document their journey to parenthood with their own reality TV show.
Kim Kardashian's brother, 29, announced his engagement to the model in April after a whirlwind romance, and last month (May16), the couple revealed it was expecting its first child together.

The parents-to-be have been in negotiations to film a Keeping Up With the Kardashians spin-off, and now bosses at America's E! network have confirmed they will appear in a new six-episode docu-series, which will air later this year (16).
Tentatively titled Rob & Chyna, the hour-long episodes will follow the lovebirds as they prepare to start their own family.

"Very few love stories have created as much pop culture buzz as Rob and Chyna's, and we are thrilled to see Rob in such a happy place," explains Jeff Olde, Executive Vice President of Original Programming & Development at E!. "We are excited to share the next chapter in their relationship."
The couple will also film a follow-up special once the child is born later this year (16).
Ironically, Rob, who previously shunned his family's reality show after piling on the pounds and becoming a recluse prior to his new romance, recently admitted he was looking forward to becoming a dad, but claimed he wanted to keep his new family life low-key.
"It's my first time, so everything is exciting, literally," Rob told E! News in early May (16), in his first on-camera interview in more than two years. "I'm happy and I just like to keep it, you know, keep it private... as private as can be."

The baby will be Rob's first, while the 28-year-old model has a three-year-old son, King Cairo, from her relationship with ex-fiance, rapper Tyga, who recently split from Rob's half-sister, Kylie Jenner.

Zulu Nation Releases Letter To Victims Accusing Afrika Bambaataa Of Sexual Abuse…
If you missed Afrika Bambaataa was remove from the organization over the growing list of alleged victims.  Afrika continued to deny the accusations.

The organization personally reaches out to the victims with a letter of an apology.
The Zulu Nation’s latest statement is meant to clarify their position on sexual abuse, announce their plans to address the problem and further distance the organization from Afrika Bambaataa. The organization removed him as its leader earlier this month. You can read the Zulu Nation’s entire letter to the victims below.

On behalf of the members of the Universal Zulu Nation worldwide, who have made their voices heard through their chapter leaders, we extend our deepest and most sincere apologies to the many people who have been hurt by the actions of Afrika Bambaataa and the subsequent poor response of our organization to allegations leveled against him. To the survivors of apparent sexual molestation by Bambaataa, both those who have come forward and others who have not, we are sorry for what you endured and extend our thanks to those who have spoken out for your bravery in bringing to light that which most of us were sadly unaware of, and others chose not to disclose. We extend further apologies to Ronald “Bee-Stinger” Savage and Hassan “Poppy” Campbell, who were subjected to unjust and inexcusable attacks on their characters in official statements by our organization when they chose to speak their truths – we hear you, we believe you, and we stand with you. In addition, we acknowledge the negative impact of our organization’s response on survivors of sexual exploitation and assault everywhere, especially within the communities that we call home; we are to be part of the solution, not the problem, and previous statements and actions from former leaders failed to live up to this promise. Lastly, we apologize to the members of the Universal Zulu Nation in New York City, around the United States, and all around the world for your having been silenced, poorly informed, very poorly represented, re-traumatized or triggered by previous official responses, and unfairly implicated in matters that you had nothing to do with when so many of you were living by our Principles; this apology is extended also to former members who felt compelled to leave our organization on account of these failures.
We wish now to make the consensus of the Universal Zulu Nation clear – our members worldwide speak through us in declaring that we unequivocally oppose child molestation and sexual exploitation and/or violence of any sort. In addition, we oppose concealing knowledge of assaults and protecting of violators, no matter who they are or what their statures may be. Furthermore, we oppose the use of character assassination, intimidation, or other coercive attempts to silence or manipulate accusers and others who would speak in their favor.

We are aware that declarations alone will not atone for the failures of our organization. We commit to the survivors, our members, and our communities the following:
• We commit to pursuing justice and healing for survivors of alleged sexual molestation committed by Afrika Bambaataa.
• We commit to educating our members and our communities about child molestation in specific — and sexual violence in general — using vetted research and scientific evidence as our guide. We also aim to lean on insight and, when possible, partnerships with professionals who can inform us of best approaches to assuring child safety in any UZN-reserved space or when in the care of UZN, important signs of abuse to be aware of, and best practices for response in suspected cases.
• We commit to promoting an organizational culture conducive to safely speaking out on these issues or any other matters that our members see as needing to be openly addressed. In keeping with this, we pledge that spokespersons must speak for the group, not for themselves, and must channel the sentiments of our overall membership rather than just those of select leaders. We must, going forward, be an organization of Cause and Laws, not of deference to charismatic leadership or coercion, if we are to serve our members and communities well, and we will meet that expectation.
As we move forward in addressing the serious issue of child molestation, we recognize this problem to be bigger than our organization and deserving of the attention of our societies at large, and we call on our communities to actively join in this cause. We call for prioritizing expert-informed education on sexuality, sexual orientation, sexual exploitation, and domestic violence. Additionally, we call on communities to learn about and address rape culture proactively; we realize that we were guilty of acquiescing to cultural norms that implicitly endanger children and adult members of society everyday and ask our communities to share in our commitment to shifting this paradigm in a more favorable direction.

Lastly, while many families prefer to avoid this topic due to the inherently disturbing nature of it, we call for families to educate children in appropriate ways about sexual molestation, to encourage open lines of communication with children whether they be as young as toddlers or as old as advanced teenagers, and for family and community members to both welcome disclosure of wrongdoing and then prioritize victims, not their abusers, in response.
In closing, we say to survivors and to our communities that we are not speaking out merely to offer redeeming rhetoric, but rather to set the bar by which our subsequent efforts must be judged. We acknowledge that we are still in a transition phase within our organization and dealing with restructuring matters that we will address outside of the public eye, but this reality will not stop our work. We hope that our voices and actions will help to heal and uplift those inside of our organization and in the broader communities who have been hurt by the mismanagement of this situation and pledge that we will manifest our foundational cause of converting negativity into positive outcomes.
