The Daily Buzz For June 28

New Backstreet Boys' music coming in August
After more than 20 years in the business, the Backstreet Boys aren’t slowing down anytime soon. Recently, the band performed at the Miss USA 2016 pageant and announced an upcoming Las Vegas residency trial run, not to mention that they’re slated to perform on ABC’s upcoming series Greatest Hits, where they’ll be joined by Meghan Trainor.
All that aside, they’ve also found time to get back in the studio. Brian Littrell recently took to Instagram to announce that new music from the band – which could be their eighth album – is due out in late August. Littrell’s photo caption teased that the band was, “Doing something we’ve never done before…. BSB feature with FGL….. Great record…. Comes out late August…..”
Whether FGL stands for Florida Georgia Line or not is to be determined, but going country would definitely be something the Backstreet Boys have never done before.

RHOA: Phaedra Parks’ Estranged Husband Apollo Nida Causing Trouble Behind Bars
Phaedra Parks has been trying to move on from her failed marriage over the past couple of years, as her estranged husband, Apollo Nida, has been serving time for fraud and identity theft. He was sentenced and sent to prison while filming The Real Housewives of Atlanta, and Phaedra has been working on her divorce papers from Atlanta. As it turns out, Parks may not be so understanding when it comes to Apollo, who probably wants to stay married to the powerful attorney from Georgia. But Phaedra may not be too pleased when she learns that her estranged husband has been causing trouble behind bars.

According to a new Radar Online report, Phaedra Parks is now learning that her estranged husband is causing trouble behind bars. As it turns out, Nida – who is serving an eight-year sentence for bank fraud and identity theft – has been causing trouble with the other inmates. Apparently, he is rude and he breaks the rules because he thinks he’s famous and a celebrity.
“Apollo doesn’t respect the other inmates,” the source says about the Real Housewives of Atlanta star, adding, “He has no regard for simple etiquette.”
An example was when Apollo refused to wait in line for the microwave. He decided to cut in line in front of the others during mealtime. The source also reveals that Apollo interrupted a game of pool during recreation time, so he could start a game of his own.
“Apollo thinks he’s better than everyone else because he’s famous,” the insider explains. “Obviously, his behavior doesn’t win him any friends.”
And this isn’t the first time that he’s been in trouble. Nida was forced into a maximum security facility after he was caught smuggling a cell phone into the prison, which is a serious violation. He had previously been close to Phaedra Parks and the children in Kentucky, but when he was caught smuggling, he was transferred.
Of course, Phaedra Parks was not his lawyer during this trial. In fact, Parks didn’t even show up to his sentencing and she wasn’t there when he turned himself in. Phaedra wanted to protect her children
“My first priority is the safety and wellbeing of our children. As I have voiced on many occasions, my primary concern about the visit was how it would impact our sons. I know how that life experiences shape a child’s perspective of the world; so my thoughts were all based on the possible negative impacts to our sons. I was praying for their spiritual covering and the wisdom to respond to any questions they may have during and after the visit,” Phaedra Parks explained in one of her final blogs for The Real Housewives of Atlanta.
On the show, Parks revealed that she really wanted her sons to have a relationship with their father while he was serving time. While filming, Phaedra would make sure that their sons would talk to their father, so they kept a relationship with him. But Parks wasn’t sure if she wanted to bring her sons to the jail, so they could see their father in that environment. As the season ended last year, Parks decided it was time to bring her sons to the jail.
“The visit went well and I do not have any regrets. My goal has always been to facilitate a positive relationship between Apollo and our sons. I am happy that we were able to make the trip and were allowed to visit,” Phaedra Parks reveals in her blog for Bravo.

What do you think of Apollo causing trouble behind bars? Do you think Phaedra Parks will say something to him, or do you think she will leave him be, so he can learn to solve his own problems?

Ladies, How Taraji P. Henson Kept Her Makeup From Melting at the BET Awards 2016
Keeping it cool! At Hollywood’s BET Awards 2016, Taraji P. Henson was nearly too hot to handle in her black bodysuit and sheer, embellished skirt by Steven Khalil. But the Empire star, who took home the Best Actress trophy, didn’t want her makeup to melt off in the 93 degree weather. That’s why she enlisted celebrity makeup artist Ashunta Sheriff on Sunday, June 26, to make sure that her face stayed put for the whole night.
“I wanted to go for an understated, soft and clean look on Taraji,” Sheriff tells Us Weekly. “It was a hot day and the look was effortless and easy to create.”

Want to get Henson’s gorgeous glow and dramatic eyes? Read on and see how Sheriff achieved it using Black Opal beauty products.
Black Opal True Color Perfecting Primer (top left, $14.95, blackopalbeauty.com); Black Opal True Color Stick Foundation SPF15 in Rich Caramel (top right, $9.95, blackopalbeauty.com); Black Opal Flawless Perfecting Concealer (bottom left, $5.25, blackopalbeauty.com); Black Opal Invisible Oil Blocking Pressed Powder (bottom right, $9.25, blackopalbeauty.com)
To prep Henson’s skin, Sheriff dabbed on the True Color Perfecting Primer with a wedge sponge. This created a canvas that helped her face stay in place throughout the three-hour ceremony. The artist also applied True Color Stick Foundation in Rich Caramel to the areas that needed coverage along with a little bit of Flawless Perfecting Concealer underneath Cookie Lyons’ eyes and brow bone. Sheriff, who counts Pat McGrath as a mentor, set her face with Invisible Oil Blocking Pressed Powder to control shine and create a matte finish. To contour and sculpt Henson’s high cheekbones, Color Splurge Eye Satin Matte in Bordeaux Bliss did the trick.

Sheriff used the Color Splurge duo on Henson’s eyes as well. The lighter shade went on her lids, while the darker shade created a sexy smolder. After, she created a winged cat eye with the Luxe Creme Liner in Onyx and shaped the brows with the Precision Eye Definer in Coffee Bean. A few swipes of mauve lipstick completed Henson’s look.

YESSSSS! New Music VIDEO: FANTASIA – SLEEPING WITH THE ONE I LOVE
Fantasia brings her acting skills to the screen in the mini-movie style music video for her latest single “Sleeping With The One I Love,” which she premiered during the BET Awards Red Carpet telecast.
The Derek Blanks-directed visual finds Tasia playing roles of different women locked up in prison: Rox, Brenda, Pauletta, and, coincidentally enough, an inmate named Fantasia.

Each of the women is fooled by the one they love. In this case, the man is a crooked guard who’s been praised because he “stops crime from within.” In the end, however, the tables turn.

Nick Gordon Overcome with Guilt...BUT WHY?
Earlier this month Bobby Brown implied Nick Gordon had something to do with both Whitney Houston's and their daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown's untimely deaths.
Nick opens up about the overwhelming guilt at not being able to save them...

Nick Young tells The Sun
“I still dream about Krissy like she’s still here. She was too terrified to bathe alone after Whitney passed, we both were. It’s why this is so messed up."
“I had no idea she was in the bath until I heard a friend scream. I raced upstairs and gave her CPR."
“She wasn’t breathing so I gave her mouth-to-mouth. Three minutes in she spat out some water and that motivated me to keep going."
“It was the hardest and saddest thing I have ever done...”

“The day Whitney died I was just coming back to the hotel where she was staying when I heard screaming. I ran into her suite."
“I bent down and tried pushing on her chest but I could tell she was gone, her lips were completely blue."
“Do I wish I could’ve done more? Of course. My God, the guilt is horrible. But to say I was the cause of their deaths just because I was there simply isn’t fair.”
Bobbi Kristina died after languishing in a coma for six months

OOOPS! Joseline Hernandez & Althea Heart Head To Court Over Crack Fueled ‘Love & Hip Hop’ Brawl
Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta star Joseline Hernandez is headed to court next month in her nasty legal battle with Althea Heart, over the alleged crack-fueled fight during the reunion show — with the reality stars set to face off next month in Georgia Court. According to theJasmineBRAND.com
Back in 2014, Althea filed suit against Joseline accusing her of smoking crack cocaine during a reunion show which resulted in her attacking her on “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta”.

Althea sued her co-star accusing her of brutally attacking her during filming and demanded her former co-star be held accountable for the injuries she suffered from the beat down.
She also claimed in her lawsuit that eye witnesses say Joseline smoking crack cocaine out of a pipe backstage prior to the reunion shoot. Althea said that Joseline was out of her mind high when she attacked her on the show.
Joseline was seen on the episode punching Benzino’s baby mama in her face and then dragging her to the ground. The suit claimed Althea suffered damages as a result and she demanded Joseline be found liable for damages. Here’s some footage of all of the chaos that went down during the filming of the reunion:
Stevie J’s on-again off-again finance claimed during her deposition in the case that the show is scripted and many of the cast serve as actors. She stated,

With reality TV, it’s called reality, but it’s a lot of acting. I say that because a lot of the girls that’s on the show, they act. So it’s a lot of acting in a reality TV show.”

Then earlier this month, docs were filed in DeKalb County, Georgia stating Joseline and Althea will be facing off in court next month with the trial date being set for July 11th at 9am, with both parties having to take the stand if needed in the case to testify

She’s been hit with 20 counts of fraud and during her hearing, Abby stated, “Events over the past several months have been extremely challenging for me, my family, my friends and most important, my students. Suge Knight Slaps Chris Brown With Lawsuit Over 2014 Shooting
Former Death Row Records CEO claims “gang associate” singer and L.A.’s 1OAK nightclub failed to provide sufficient security
Rap mogul Marion “Suge” Knight has filed a lawsuit against singer Chris Brown and the owners of a Los Angeles nightclub for damages related to a shooting that left the former Death Row Records CEO seriously wounded.
In papers filed in L.A. Superior Court on Monday, Knight claims that Brown and the owners of 1OAK, where the pop star threw an unofficial MTV VMAs pre-party in August 2014, “negligently failed to provide adequate/any security at all possible points of entry into the venue,” at which “one or more unknown individuals were allowed access to the event with weapons, including firearms.”
Knight was shot several times, in the abdomen, chest and left forearm, when someone opened fire at the party around 1:30 a.m. Two other attendees were also struck by gunfire in the melee, including a 32-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman. The gunman remains at large.

Claiming Brown was “a known gang associate with a history of violence and had a well-documented track record of hosting events and or parties in which violence frequently erupted,” Knight is suing for medical expenses, special damages, future medical expenses, prospective special damages and general damages.
Knight was once at the vanguard of the gangster rap movement himself, founding the record label that gave rise to multiplatinum artists like Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg and Tupac Shakur.
He has also proven a master of bullet magnetism in the past, having been shot in the leg at a VMAs pre-party in Miami in 2005, and manning the wheel of the car in which Shakur was killed during a drive-by shooting near the Las Vegas Strip in 1996.

Knight has been detained in Men’s Central Jail in Los Angeles since Jan. 30, 2015 on murder charges. He stands accused of running over and killing Terry Carter and striking Cle “Bone” Sloan earlier that month in an altercation during promotional shooting for the N.W.A biopic “Straight Outta Compton.” Knight has pleaded not guilty to murder and attempted murder charges related to the incident.
Damages sought in the lawsuit were not specified.
