Kim Fields Talks Dysfunction In The District; Dishes On Regrets From The “Mommy & Me” Trip To Washington, D.C.
Kim Fields joined some of her The Real Housewives of Atlanta co-stars and their sons in Washington, D.C. for the Million Man March, and she made quite the scene. Kim was alone with her 2 sons and they were uncooperative to say the least. Kim gave Bravo some behind the scenes dish and she was very positive about a trip that seemed to be a lot of work for her. Kim proved that although she’s a celebrity and a “Real Housewife,” she is down to earth and just like us.

Bravotv.com: Have you ever had to travel with the kids without your husband before?
Kim Fields: Yes. We do have sitters who have travel with me or we get assistance when we get to a city, when we are provided enough lead time to coordinate. There are unfortunately crazies out there, I can’t just call anybody.

Bravotv.com: What was going through your mind during the meeting with Congresswoman Wilson?
KF: I thought she was engaging, insightful, and passionate about her inspiring work not only in Congress but with her foundation.

Bravotv.com: Do you regret going on the D.C. trip?
KF: Not at all!! Nothing but wonderful things have come from the DC trip! I’m delayed getting this out today because I was just with Congresswoman Wilson at her event where she honored me and my family.
PS: The charity event I hosted that night for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Light the Night Walk was amazing. Over a million dollars was raised, check it out HERE

Kim definitely held back in her interview and it’s time for her to step it up. The season is midway through, and she hasn’t brought it yet. Kim still has time to prove she deserves that peach in her hand, but so far she has played it safe and avoided confrontation in front of the camera and in interviews post filming.

Thoughts on Kim’s blog? Do you think she’s been boring so far this season?

BUT WAIT MORE RHOA SHADE! Janet Hubert Shades NeNe Leakes!
This week actress Janet Hubert grabbed the spotlight after lashing out at Will and Jada Pinkett-Smith accusing their calls for an Oscar boycott of being self-serving
In an interview about her rant Janet throws Real Housewives of Atlanta star NeNe Leakes under the bus along with Will and Jada...

Janet tells the LA Times,
"I think the black community has a lot to work on internally with what they deem successful. Did you know NeNe Leakes made it on Broadway before Janet Hubert? Something’s wrong with the whole system of bad behavior being rewarded. I think in the black community, ratchet has became the new black, ghetto has become the new black."

#OSCARSSOWHITE: Will Smith Weighs In On Oscars Controversy, Says He Will Not Be Attending Awards Show
Following a video from his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, revealing that she will not be attending this year’s Oscars, Will Smith chatted with Good Morning America co-anchor Robin Roberts. He confirms that just like Jada, he will not be attending the Oscars either.
Many thought that the actor would receive an Oscar nomination for his role Concussion, but not only was he left out of the nominee pool, there wasn’t one black actor nominated.

“We’ve discussed it,” Will says of him and Jada. “We’re part of this community but at this current time, we’re uncomfortable to stand there and say that this is OK. My wife’s not going. It would be awkward to show up with Charlize [Theron].”

He states that he was out of the country when Jada made the announcement that she would not be attending the Oscars, but after hearing her message, ” I was happy to be married to that woman,” he says.
“She’s deeply passionate and when she is moved she has to go,” Smith said of Pinkett Smith. “I heard her words and I was knocked over. I was happy to be married to that woman.”
“There is a position that we hold in this community, and if we’re not part of the solution, we’re part of the problem,” he added. “It was her call to action, for herself, and for me and for our family to be a part of the solution.”
Will admits that it was “huge” for him that the two times he has been nominated for an Oscar – 2001 for Ali and for The Pursuit of Happyness in 2006.

“Everyone is beautiful and deserving and is fantastic, but it feels like it’s going the wrong direction,” he expresses. “The nominations reflect the Academy. The Academy reflects the industry [Hollywood] and then the industry reflects America. There is a regressive slide towards separatism, towards racial and religious disharmony and that’s not the Hollywood that I want to leave behind.

Nicki Minaj: I Never Signed That Contract, Demands Suit Accusing Her of Diva Behavior Be Thrown Out!
According to our friends over at theJasmineBRAND.com Nicki Minaj is blasting accusations she screwed over a Las Vegas nightclub with her diva behavior and fired back at the suit saying she breached her $150K contract for an appearance the night of Floyd Mayweather’s fight and has headed to court demanding the entire case be thrown out.

A Nevada company called Fantastic Entertainment Enterprises (FEE) filed suit against Minaj’s company Pink Personality for ruining a Vegas club appearance.
The suit explained an appearance agreement was signed by Nicki to show up and perform at Chateau Night Club in the Paris Hotel on May 2nd, directly following Mayweather’s fight with Pacquiao.

Per the deal, Nicki was to arrive at the club at midnight, she would remain at the club for at least an hour and perform 2 songs. The company agreed to pay the rap queen a total of $236K for her appearance and also cover her transportation and accommodation costs.
However, they said Nicki failed to follow the terms of the deal she signed. They claim she didn’t show up till 1:19am, stayed only for 34 minutes and refused to perform 2 songs at the club. They also accused her security guard of arriving to the club and disconnecting their equipment that was set up to film the event (not only Nicki’s appearance) and as a result they lost even more money.
Further, the company stated they had 5 VIP tables around Nicki and people were willing to pay $25K for a table, but since she didn’t stay or perform those tables went unsold.

The company sent Nicki’s team a letter in May demanding a refund of the money they paid her –but were not compensated.
F.E.E. demanded the return of the $236K paid to Nicki along with damages for the money she caused them to lose.
Then on January 20th, Nicki fired back at the lawsuit explaining she never signed any contract with Fantastic Entertainment Enterprises, but rather with another company named Jam House Inc.
Nicki says she performed all the contractual obligations the night of the appearance. She admits she was paid $150K to show up for an hour and perform 2 songs, which she claims she did.

The singer accuses the company of filing a copy of an altered contract with their lawsuit. Nicki explains that the agreement filed includes terms that she never approved or had knowledge of previously.

She adds all terms of the contract were completed fully the night of her appearance and if there was anything she didn’t do it was due to unreasonable expectations, unforeseeable events or fraud

Nicki is demanding the entire lawsuit be thrown out and the company be awarded nothing.

Well, Duh! Sam Smith “Speechless” After Witnessing Racism
Singer Sam Smith just learned that racism is a real thing after witnessing it firsthand. Smith used Twitter to express his sadness over the epiphany after watching a friend get verbally abused with what we’re assuming were racial epithets.

Thanks for shedding some light on the unfamiliar subject, Sam. We also want to help bring awareness to racism so we’ve compiled several videos of people in London being racist towards others because racism is bad, m’kay.
Black on Muslim racism, White on Black racism, White on Asian racism … there’s definitely variety in London.

Big Sean Launches #HealFlintKids Fundraiser Donating $10K Of His Own Money
Big Sean is one rapper who regularly digs into his own pockets to help the less fortunate, particularly around his old way. The Detroit native kicked off the #HealFlintKids Fundraiser to raise money in support of victims of the water crisis in Flint, MI by donating $10,000.
The “Blessings” rapper’s Sean Anderson Foundation announced today (Jan. 21) that is has teamed with CrowdRise to launch the #HEALFLINTKIDS campaign. Its goal is to help the families of children exposed to toxic water in Flint.

Recently, Barack Obama declared the situation in Flint a state of emergency. After the financially troubled city of Flint switched over to a new water provider, citizens began complaining about its quality about a month later. The water supply was found to contain lead contaminants and made people sick.
The money being raised by #HEALFLINTKIDS will go to the Community Foundation of Greater Flint Michigan.
“I am devastated by the water crisis that has put the entire city of Flint in a state of emergency,” said Big Sean via a press statement. “In recognizing the great work that the CommunityFoundation of Greater Flint Michigan has been doing, it is my hope we can help by raising the money needed to ensure that the children who have been hit the hardest receive the care that they need today and well into the future.”
To help encourage participation (the campaign ends April 30), donors who make a pledge of at least $10 (which is tax deductible) will get a chance to a pair of VIP tickets to a Big Sean concert in 2016 (there will be five winners).

Every bit of help counts. Salute to Big Sean.
