#RHOA: Cynthia Bailey & Daughter Noelle Get Gorgeous On Heart & Soul’s Dec/Jan 2016 Cover
“Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Cynthia Bailey and her 16-year-old daughter Noelle Robinson are sitting pretty for Heart & Soul’s December/January 2016 issue. The mother-daughter duo posed it up for their first magazine cover together. Looks like Noelle has been paying attention to her mom’s modeling tips. They both look gorgeous.
The full spread and cover story hasn’t been released yet, but Cynthia chopped it up with BRAVO's The Daily Dish recently about her daughter’s ambitions to become a model. Yep, Noelle is following in her mother’s footsteps and she couldn’t be more excited to help her get her foot in the door.

Cynthia revealed Noelle was really into acting and singing (like her dad Leon Robinson) at first, but is now leaning towards a modeling career.
“In terms of modeling with Noelle, she’s never really showed an interest before. She mostly gravitated toward the whole acting and singing thing. That’s what her dad does. However, lately, she actually has been talking to me about doing some modeling.
Unfortunately, Cynthia, owner of modeling agency The Bailey Agency, had to inform her daughter she’s not exactly ideal model height (she’s 5’5”), but said there are many exceptions to the rule.
"There’s always exceptions to the rule. There’s different types of modeling. She would have to be definitely more of a petite model, but she wants to go for it. Of course, as her mom and CEO of the Bailey Agency School of Fashion, I’m going to help her open some doors.”

Nice! Good luck Noelle.

#TEAMEMPIRE! Empire Renewed For Season 3 On FOX
Empire is returning for a third season – Fox TV Group chairmen Gary Newman and Dana Walden announced at the top of the network’s TCA presentation.
News of the renewal comes just days after Taraji P. Henson, who stars as Cookie Lyon, won her first Golden Globe. Empire was the only broadcast show nominated in the major drama or comedy categories at the award show.

According to Variety: Though down from the peak ratings it saw late in its first season, “Empire” remained the top-rated broadcast series in adults 18-49 during the first half of its second season. In the fall it averaged a 7.3 rating in the demo and 17.7 million viewers overall, according to Nielsen’s “live plus-7” estimates. It also ranks as the most-tweeted broadcast TV series.
At this time, there is no word on returning cast members. Taraji currently stars alongside Terrence Howard – while Jussie Smollett, Bryshere “Yazz” Gray, Trai Byers, Grace Gealey, Kaitlin Doubleday, Gabourey Sidibe, Ta’Rhonda Jones and Serayah McNeill round out the cast.

Empire returns March 30 for the second half of Season 2. Congrats to the cast and crew!

HIP HOP BEEF! Meek Mill releases surprise EP; disses Drake yet again
If Meek Mill were smarter, he would have elected to leave the whole Drake debacle behind him in 2015 and start 2016 with something of a clean slate.
Instead, the Philadelphia emcee just can’t seem to leave well enough alone, take the L that many believe he earned in the tussle, and move on to bigger and better things.

While fans await his upcoming Dreamchasers 4 mixtape, the MMG lieutenant has dropped a surprise EP on his Soundcloud page called 4/4. The four-song set features a track called “I’m The Plug Freestyle” in which Meek responds to a few of Drake’s bars from the now Grammy-nominated “Back To Back,” while spewing what some fans say are questionable lyrics that seem to disrespect his girlfriend Nicki Minaj:

You took her to an island, I f–ked her on a couch
I f–ked her in the studio, she never seen my house
She told me that you’re lame, I told her clean you out
I got that p—y same day she made you eat her out, woo!
Was that my girl’s tour or the world tour?
I do not know what you p—y niggas goin’ for
This that $100K a night when you perform tour
Swimmin’ in that good p—y while you’re on tour, oh!

What do you think? Has Meek become so preoccupied with evening the score with Drake that he’s become reckless in his rapping without realizing it?
Take a listen to Meek’s 4/4 EP above!

Business Or Romance? Common And Laura Dern Spotted Out In Beverly Hills
Do we smell a new Hollywood couple,or NAH?
Common, who was recently linked to Serena Williams, was spotted out on Thursday night having dinner with actress, Laura Dern. The duo was all giggles and smiles as they left Bouchon in Beverly Hills.

The rapper led the way in a utility bomber trench wile Dern followed close behind in a black dress. The pair did appear to be very smitten with each other, so we wonder: Is this a budding romance? Or was this a possible business meeting?

It’s worth noting that Dern has swirled before. The producer was married to singer-songwriter, Ben Harper, for eight years before their split in 2013.

WTH?!? Children’s Book Shows Slaves As Happy Cake Bakers For George Washington
George Washington, the nation’s first president, is the focus of a controversial new children’s book surrounding his birthday and slavery. The book depicts President Washington’s enslaved head chef as an overjoyed and prideful chef excited about making a birthday cake, which was far from the truth.

The Atlanta Blackstar reports:
A children’s book published by Scholastic depicting “happy and joyful” enslaved people has stirred outrage amongst both parents and educators.
A Birthday Cake for George Washington by Ramin Ganeshram and Vanessa Brantly-Newton is the story of Hercules, the President’s head chef, as he attempts to bake Washington a cake for his birthday celebration. The story, as told by Hercules’ daughter Delia, takes a turn for the worse as Hercules discovers there is no sugar in the cupboard.

An excerpt from the book reads:
“Everyone’s buzzing about the president’s birthday!
Especially George Washington’s servants, who scurry around the kitchen preparing to make this the best celebration ever. Oh, how George Washington loves his cake! And, oh, how he depends on Hercules, his head chef, to make it for him. Hercules, a slave, takes great pride in baking the president’s cake. But this year there is one problem – they’re out of sugar.”
The book claims it is based on true events. The front flap of the book states:
“This story, told in the voice of Delia, Hercules’s young daughter, is based on real events and underscores the loving exchange between a very determined father and his eager daughter, who are faced with an unspoken, bittersweet reality. No matter how delicious the president’s cake turns out to be, Delia and Papa will not taste the sweetness of freedom.”

According to the Blackstar, Hercules was in fact far from happy to cook for Washington and eventually escaped to freedom although he left his daughter behind.
There is currently a petition circulating from Change.org to have A Birthday Cake for George Washington removed from Amazon’s inventory.

My man worked in a full swan dive during his expression of how much he loves Walmart shopping. Impressive young man.
