Nicki Minaj Spills On Beyonce & Jay Z Advice, Engagement Rumors & Living With Meek Mill
Nicki Minaj is currently living life in the fab lane as far as her music career goes. Chick has been selling out arenas worldwide, she has her own clothing line, her own perfume, she’s currently up for three Grammys, she’s starring in new films (Barbershop 3 & Ice Age), and she has seemingly found love. It appears she's on cloud nine, outside of the online Twitter spat and Award show beefs with Pop stars.
Most recently, her personal life was shaken up with recent news about her brother being charged for allegedly raping a 12-year-old. And the latest bad news she has received is the possibility of her boyfriend Meek going to jail. We’ll get to that later.
Sitting down with Billboard in her new L.A. mansion that she shares with beau, she opens ups about the good things she has going on. The Grammy Award winning raptress dishes on relationship advice she has received from Hip Hop power couple Beyonce and Jay Z and how their conversations have helped her and Meek's relationship. We're sure Mr. & Mrs. Carter had plenty of tips to share on how to naviagte as a couple in the limelight. And now that Nicki and Meek have taken their relationship to the next level living together, we're sure a whole new world of relationship kinks have to be worked out.
The “Anaconda” raptress also talks about her upcoming ABC sitcom about her childhood, she touches on politics (is she #TeamHilary or #TeamTrump), dabbing back in the mixtape world and more.
Below are the highlights:
You’re in a high-profile relationship. That presents some unique challenges. Is this something you and Meek discuss?
Yeah, we speak about it. We actually spoke with Jay Z and Beyoncé about it, too. After our show at [Brooklyn’s] Barclays Center [in October], we had dinner together. They were so giving with advice. I love them so much. It was just a beautiful conversation to have with people we love and we look up to as a couple. They’re so strong.
Is there anything you would care to share from that conversation?
I’d rather keep it private. I know Meek -- he understood a couple things that I was explaining to him more when we spoke about it in front of them. We were all laughing so much. It was very late -- you know when you get so tired, and it’s just like the giggles portion of the evening?
I don’t know what’s going to happen with he and I. I just know right now we are really, really enjoying each other’s company. So, shout out to everybody in the world that’s just trying to find love or be happy. Everybody should have someone to hold at night. It really, really changes your energy. I find that my energy is very different afterward -- if I’m in the bed with him, just hugging him all day. It’s just, like, something about love. You transfer it. It’s infectious.
Do you miss New York?
I love it [in Los Angeles]. I spoke to Beyoncé about it, because she came out here recently too. She said exactly what I used to say when I first moved here. We just feel happier. She was saying that simple things that would normally feel like a task, they don’t [feel that way] out here. She told me it’s not bothersome to get up super early and have to take Blue to school, because it looks so beautiful. I’m a New Yorker, but there are times in New York when you wake up and it’s, like, a dreary day. I know my London fans can identify with this. When I’m in London or Paris, I think the same thing. Part of the beauty is in the grayness -- but it’s an acquired taste.
You’ve been working on a sitcom for ABC about your childhood. How’s that going?
I am maybe too involved. Two days ago I was in casting. I’m going back tomorrow. I found one girl who I’m obsessed with who might play me, and someone who could rival her. So I’ve been coaching them both. I do a beat, let them rap. I do little dances with them. It has been magical. I didn’t even know I had it in me, but I love children so much.
Do you watch Empire?
I remember seeing the first episode and being like, “Oh, my God. I wasn’t expecting it to be this real and dope.” But I haven’t seen it in a while.
Speaking of mixtapes, you began your career as a mixtape artist. Do you ever want to just release a mixtape and destroy the game?
I’ll definitely drop a mixtape. I have to. I want to touch a couple of beats that I wasn’t on. I could have bodied a lot of the records that came out in the last year. But the main thing is, I have to set an example for female rappers. I’m at the top of that food chain, and it’s important to lead by example… It’s important that you are bigger than your music. Some fans are going to fuck with me for the rest of my life because they know where I came from. Fans know my struggle. How hungry I was. That I was not settling, I was not giving up. I was on everybody’s beat. I was ruthless.

Now we all know The Housewives Of Atlanta cast has always had their ups and downs with each other, but the shade Marlo Hampton and NeNe Leakes have thrown at each other makes us all forget how much of besties they use to be!
During NeNe Leakes appearance on, “Watch What Happens Next,” NeNe was asked about her relationship with both Marlo Hampton and Sheree Whitfield. In true NeNe Leakes fashion, she replied “who?”
When Hampton caught wind of NeNe Leakes recent case of amnesia she decided to serve some shade with a little proof on the side.

OOOPS! Meek Mill Could Be Heading Back to Jail!
Meek Mill and Nicki Minaj’s romance could hit a bit of a rough patch — according to reports, Meek could be headed back to jail soon.
via TMZ: Meek’s on probation from a drug and gun conviction back in 2009. According to court docs, as of November 1, 2015, he was required to obtain a travel voucher before leaving Philly.
The judge ordered Meek to appear in court Thursday morning, for a probation violation.
Reading between the lines, it seems Meek may not have gotten permission to attend the AMAs in L.A. on November 22nd.
If Meek screwed up, he could be sent to prison. This wouldn’t be the first time he served time for violating probation. It happened last year and he was sent to jail for several months.
Ex-OKC Cop Daniel Holtzclaw Guilty of Raping Black Women
Daniel Holtzclaw, the former Oklahoma City cop who was on trial for raping and sexually victimizing black and low income women, was found guilty on Thursday.
It wasn’t a pretty scene as Holtzclaw broke down like a baby sobbing as the verdict was read aloud in the courtroom. He was convicted him on 18 counts involving eight of the 13 women who had accused him; the jury acquitted him on another 18 counts.
The bottom line is that he could spend the rest of his life in prison based on the jury’s recommendation that he serve a total of 263 years in prison, including a 30-year sentence on each of the first-degree rape counts. He was also convicted of forcible oral sodomy, sexual battery, procuring lewd exhibition and second-degree rape.
The jury deliberated for about 45 hours over four days. A judge will decide later whether Holtzclaw, 29, will have to serve the sentences consecutively.

“Justice was done today, and a criminal wearing a uniform is going to prison now,” Oklahoma County District Attorney David Prater said. “In those counts where the not verdicts came back, they determined that we didn’t prove those cases beyond a reasonable doubt. It doesn’t mean they didn’t believe the victims.”

Poor Cassie. While she’s over in Africa shooting the 3rd installment of the Honey franchise aka Dance Flop 2016, Diddy’s back here in the states shopping with his ex and baby mama Kim Porter. Now, because Kim and Diddy share children, it’s natural that they’d spend time shopping together for their girls. However, this was NOT a children’s shopping trip.
Cameras caught Diddy and Kim leaving the Hustlers Hollywood store in LA!! They two exited separately, but it doesn’t take a genius to figure out that two old loves reuniting in a sex store is probably bad news for Cassie.
2016 SAG Awards: Complete list of nominations
The 22nd annual Screen Actors Guild Award nominations are in. On Wednesday, Dec. 9, SAG-AFTRA executive vice president Gabrielle Carter invited Anna Faris and Anthony Mackie to announce the honors live at the Pacific Design Center in L.A.
This year’s nominees in categories spanning film and TV include Beasts of No Nation’s Idris Elba, “How To Get Away With Murder” star Viola Davis and the hit Netflix series, “Orange Is the New Black.”
The 2016 SAG Awards, which honors some of Hollywood’s biggest names, will be simulcast live on TNT and TBS at 8 p.m. ET on Saturday, Jan. 30, 2016. Meanwhile, final voting begins Wednesday, Dec. 16, and closes Friday, Jan. 29, at noon PST. Television icon Carol Burnett will receive the SAG Life Achievement Award.

Raven-Symone Turns 30, ‘The View’ Throws Big Birthday Bash Complete With Gifts And Special Guests
Can you believe that Raven-Symone has turned 30-years-old? It seems like just yesterday that she was having her crazy psychic visions on the Disney Channel. The actress celebrated her special day with the ladies of The View, and it looks like she had the best time ever.
It was a birthday bash that she will not soon forget. It was announced on the show’s official Facebook page that they had a bunch of surprises in store for her, and they sure did. The birthday girl looked every bit as festive as her personality. Her hair was all decked out in rainbow colors of wool as she came out wearing an angry panda shirt. She even had eyebrows that glittered. Raven was skipping, jumping, and dancing happily during most of the show.
Raven got a bucket load of gifts for her birthday. Her best one was obviously a special package from her absolute favorite girl, Janet Jackson. She was quite speechless when she was given a basket full of goodies and VIP tickets to her Unbreakable tour. She also was sent some white roses from the guys of Boyz II Men. Special guests included Empire’s Jussie Smollett, host Andy Cohen, and music by R&B group SWV.
Symone’s career basically started when she was 3-years-old, and she even did a throwback back to that time as she posted a sweet audition tape when she was that age. It was adorable. It’s no wonder that she nabbed the role of Olivia Kendall on The Cosby Show. She went on to eventually star in her own original Disney Channel show, That’s So Raven, and the rest is history.
They showed that same tape on The View this morning, and Raven said that she has been gearing up her whole life to be 30. She explained that since her acting career began so early, her whole life has been kind of like she was that age already, with having to pay taxes and still going to school while learning her lines. Those are things that most kids that age never have to do, so it was like she was an adult already.
Being an adult does have its downside at times, as she has certainly learned since being on the talk show. The View is known for the co-hosts speaking their minds, and sometimes getting themselves into trouble. Both Raven and Joy Behar have recently gotten some heat on their opinions or from something they have commented on. The backlash has been vicious on social media.
The girls of the View have become quite close, despite some of their differing views. They made sure that Raven had an exceptional 30th birthday celebration. She even said that she hadn’t had this kind of party for a long time.

Jared Leto Sues TMZ Over Stolen Video
Oscar winning actor, Jared Leto, is coming at TMZ hard in a new lawsuit over a stolen video footage. According to reports, there is video of Leto, who is also the frontman for the band Thirty Seconds to Mars, and an engineer critiquing songs off of Taylor Swift's "1989" album. Though throughout the video Leto seems to admire Taylor's work, towards the end he could be heard saying "I mean, f— her" and "I don't give a f— about her."
TMZ got their hands on the video which was shot by a videographer retained by Jared Leto. They promised the videographer a $2,000 payment and requested the videographer sign a document confirming he had the legal right to deliver the footage. The videographer did not sign it because he did not have rights to the footage, Leto does. TMZ was warned the footage was stolen and still posted the video to their site anyway. Now Leto is coming for them and their parent company, Warner Bros Entertainment.
"I have chosen to file this lawsuit not because I want to, but in hopes it will encourage more people to stop trafficking in stolen goods, to follow proper legal procedure and so that it may motivate additional consideration for the harm these acts can create, especially when the only intention is to simply further the bottom line for the companies and corporations that commit these acts," says Leto in a statement.
Details as to how much Leto plans to sue TMZ for have not been released. It is also unclear whether or not TMZ paid the videographer, even though he refused to sign over the rights to the video.
Leto has since apologized to Taylor Swift via Twitter. "The truth is I think @taylorswift13 is amazing + an incredible example of what's possible. If I hurt her or her fans my sincerest apologies."
