Lupita is among only a handful of black woman who have landed at the top spot, sharing the honor with Halle Berry and Beyoncé
I just knew it had to be Ms. Nyong’o this year. Her meteoric rise over the past 7 months has been unlike anything we’ve seen in quite sometime–and there was no one more deserving of the distinction. If you look back at the first look that put her on the scene back in September, it wasn’t hard to tell that she would be a star.

Behind The Scenes: Beyonce’s Toyota ‘Get Going’ Commercial
There is just NO STOPPING that Beyonce World Domination. As earlier reported, the Pop royal’s latest venture sees her team up with car giant Toyota for their new ‘Get Going’ campaign.
The initial commercial unwrapped last month has now been revealed as one of three TV spots shot in support of the project, with the remaining two set to be rolled out over the year.

Tyler Perry to Focus on OWN TV Projects Exclusively!
The big homie Tyler Perry has announced he is not making anymore films but plans on focusing all of his energies on The OWN Network. He is leaving all that good money that he has made with Lionsgate to focus on his new love for television and OWN. Sounds like a boss move to me.
Check out the details Tyler Perry’s latest movie The Single Moms Club his 17th film in 10 years and it’s the last film that he has to do with Lionsgate. Tyler is now focused on making original television programing for Oprah Winfrey’s Network.
Tyler has a multiyear partnership to produce, write, and direct scripted content for OWN. He reportedly is the only producer to have scripted series’ on the network in addition to an equity stake in the company. Boss move for sure. As you know Perry already have the following series on OWN, The Haves and the Have Nots, For Better or Worse, and Love Thy Neighbor, are scoring strong ratings on OWN. The Have and the Have Nots has generated the network’s highest ratings.
We can’t wait to see what Tyler Perry and Oprah Winfrey have up their sleeves. Tyler wrote an email back in March sharing his thoughts and excitement about his new career move,
"“This is the first time in 10 years that I don’t already have my next movie written or shot and ready to come out. That is because my focus for this past year has been on my TV shows on OWN. Just so you know, that’s where you’ll find me until I do another movie.”"

One of Usher’s Sons Diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes
*“The Voice” host Carson Daly interviewed the show’s judges Adam Levine, Usher Raymond, Blake Shelton, and Shakira for the “Today” show this morning, and Usher got personal, saying this past year has been a particularly rough.
“I lost my grandmother, my son was diagnosed as being a type one diabetic. It has definitely been a difficult one for me, man,” he said.
The singer has not revealed which of his two boys is suffering from the blood sugar disease. He is father to six-year-old Usher Raymond V and five-year-old Naviyd, from his marriage to stylist Tameka Foster.
Ursh said he spends a lot of his spare time reading up on his son’s dietary requirements to ensure he is staying healthy, even when he’s on the set of “The Voice.”
“Sometimes you’re looking at me and we’re off camera, and I’m online looking at numbers, trying to make sure he’s eating properly. It’s crazy,” he said.

I am loving Nicki Minaj’s new look it is such a breath of fresh air, she sat down with the Insider to talk about her album not coming out on May 5th as everyone was projecting and her new single which will be released in a week and a half and will not be anything like Starships..

During an interview with Kode Magazine, the 27-year old did not fail to generate public drama when she accused Jennifer of sleeping around in order to get movie roles. The article states:

Oprah’s Stepmother Says Oprah KICKED Her Out Of Her Home Leaving Her HOMELESS!
Around this time we start spring-cleaning and it seems Oprah is cleaning house. She is being accused of leaving her stepmother homeless!
Oprah Winfrey’s stepmother is publicly speaking out for the very first time on a family feud she has had with the media queen. And according to her, Lady O played a major part in her failed marriage to Oprah’s dad Vernon Winfrey.
In an explosive candid interview with the Daily Mail, 66-year-old Barbara Winfrey (a former vice principal) reveals she’s allegedly being kicked out of the home she shared with her husband for 14 years in the wake of their divorce.
Barbara was served with an eviction notice earlier this month and has until May 29th to leave the $1.4 million Nashville home.
“I have lost everything. It’s not just a house, this is my home. All my memories are here,” said Barbara.
“I’m trying to keep it together but there are some days I just don’t understand how I could have made her so angry that she would kick me out on the street and think nothing about it. But that’s Oprah – she’s judge and jury.”
Oprah bought a home in Nashville back in 2000 for her dad and her stepmother as a wedding gift. Barb claims once she and her now ex-husband decided to split, Vernon convinced Oprah to take back the home she had gifted them.
“I know people have read about this and thought, “Who does she think she is? Why should she get a million dollar home? But can you see it’s not about that? It’s about everything that went before. Look at how she has treated me. I laid my head next to her father for 14 years and she never thought me worthy of talking to. “
Barbara also went on to say that Oprah isn’t the kind, caring person she portrays to be on television.
“Everything comes with stipulations but she doesn’t tell you that and she doesn’t tell you what they are.”
“Some people can have money and be mentally rich – secure in what they have I guess. But others, how can I put it…some people you can’t take the ghetto out of. That’s Oprah, it’s who she is and where she’s from. She had money, everybody was going to know it and see it. But she had to be in control.”
And she continued with her attacks on Lady O (brace yourselves):
'She was a horrible decorator. Money cannot buy you taste. She would put plaid with stripes and all sorts. In [her home in] Indiana she must have had 200 dolls, some of them looked like they could have gone back to the slave days, lined up on long benches in the hallway. It was creepy.'
And when she and Vernon arrived at Oprah’s Chicago condo on one occasion she recalled, ‘Oprah got on the intercom and announced, “Negroes in the house. Negroes in the house.” She thought it was funny. I thought it was insulting. I’m older than her. I know what it means. She was reminding us of our low class.’
'Her brand is that she’s a nice, caring, generous, giving person. That’s not how it is. She’s controlling – it’s all about control'.
Barbara also made claims that Oprah and Stedman are NOT together because they’re madly in love but rather for convenience, money and a slew of shared secrets. She described Gayle and Oprah’s relationship as “bizarre” and “unhealthy” and believes their friendship is the reason neither of them are married.
