#RHOA: Cynthia Bailey ‘Heartbroken’ After Kenya Moore’s RHOA Exit: ‘Always Here for Her’
Season 16 of Real Housewives of Atlanta has fans concerned. Last season was snoozy, so Bravo initiated a cast shake-up. Kandi Burruss exited, along with Marlo Hampton and Sanya Richards-Ross. Then, Porsha Williams reclaimed her peach amid her divorce drama. But Kenya Moore left the show after she was suspended. Now Cynthia Bailey is weighing in on Kenya’s controversial exit.
Cynthia Bailey was “so saddened” by Kenya Moore’s exit Kenya was suspended from RHOA after allegedly displaying sexual photos of co-star Brittany Eady during the opening of her hair spa. After being suspended, Kenya decided to twirl off the show.
“I am always here for Kenya. I am always here for her,” Cynthia told Extra. “Of course, I am so saddened and heartbroken that she had an early departure from the season … No one ever saw that coming.” When asked by the host how “intense” the drama became, Cynthia answered carefully.
“You know what, you guys just have to see how it all plays out. I can’t really speak on it, but I will say that Kenya has always been a huge part of the show,” Cynthia explained. “There’s only one twirl, there’s only one shade assassin. For me, I am always here for Kenya and the love will always be … I will always have love for Kenya.” The actress and model added, “There’s only one Kenya. Only one!”
Since Cynthia is an official friend for Season 16, she shared her thoughts about Phaedra Parks’ return. “Phaedra is great TV as well. Phaedra came back like, literally, like in the last moment of us filming,” Cynthia said. “So, that was like another surprise. Nobody saw Kenya leaving, no one saw Phaedra coming, so Sweet 16 should be called Surprise 16. It’s all over the place.”
As for Cynthia, she is pursuing her acting career, with a movie called Who’s Cheating Who on BET+. And she has a new man who resides in Amsterdam, but 50 Cynt is keeping him under wraps for now.
Who’s Cheating Who premieres August 29 on BET+. Real Housewives of Atlanta is streaming on Peacock.

#HipHopNews: Megan Thee Stallion & Bts Have A Second Collab On The Way
Megan Thee Stallion has another collaboration with BTS on the way, though they’re all being coy about the details at the moment.
The Houston rapper first collaborated with the K-pop group in 2021 on the remix to their chart-topping single, “Butter.” In a post to X on Friday (August 30), the group confirmed that something else will be released in the near future.
Meg hinted at the collab first on the day prior, simply posting her signature horse emoji along with a purple heart emoji, which is often used to represent the boyband. The next day, group quote-tweeted her and added, “Coming Soon!”
Megan Thee Stallion has been a fan of BTS for some time, and even recalled her excitement about their first collab in a 2022 interview.
“I love BTS, and I was telling my manager, ‘I really want to do a song with BTS, I don’t know what I can do or what we’re going to do,’” she told Entertainment Tonight. “Around that the same time, they wound up reaching out to me and asking me to do the ‘Butter’ remix. So, I was like, ‘Oh my God.’”
In addition to supporting Korean groups, Meg is also a major fan of Japanese culture. She recently collaborated with Tokyo rapper Yuki Chiba on her viral smash “Mamushi” and dropped a video for it earlier this month.
In the raunchy visual, a man enters a traditional Japanese ryokan, and hands the host a card which features a snake on one side and the word “Mamushi” on the other.
Meg and a number of Japanese women, along with their services, are then presented to the guest, before the clip goes on to showcase the offerings of the ryokan, like a number of hot tubs, baths and more.
The “HISS” diva jetted off to Japan to shoot the video after a massive London show.
Meg took to Instagram late last month to share a montage from her O2 Arena show during her Hot Girl Summer Tour, and teased her next stop.
At the show, she was joined by Japanese artist Yuki Chiba, and they performed “Mamushi” for the very first time.
She captioned the post: “London was a movie [five star emojis] We just landed in Japan for thee MAMUSHI VIDEO [three hand clap emojis] Then DC hotties I’m coming to youuuu [four fire emojis].”

Iconic Hip Hop Hype Man and Harlem's own Fatman Scoop dies at 53 after collapsing on stage
Fatman Scoop, the hip-hop artist who topped charts in Europe with “Be Faithful” in the early 2000s and later lent his distinctive voice and ebullient vibe to hits by artists including Missy Elliott and Ciara, died after collapsing on stage at a show in Connecticut, according to officials and his family. He was 53.
The cause of his death wasn't immediately clear. He was performing at Hamden Town Center Park when he collapsed Friday evening, town chief of staff Sean Grace said Saturday. Mayor Lauren Garrett posted on Facebook that he had a medical emergency. Concertgoers and paramedics tried to aid the artist, who was taken to a hospital, she said.
His family said in an Instagram post that “the world lost a radiant soul, a beacon on stage and in life.”
With a gravelly voice and dance-floor-friendly sensibility, Fatman Scoop was a mainstay of club playlists around the turn of the millennium. But if the world knew him as the “voice of the club,” his family cherished him as “the laughter in our lives, a constant source of support, unwavering strength and courage,” his relatives said.
“His music made us dance and embrace life with positivity. His joy was infectious and the generosity he extended to all will be deeply missed but never forgotten,” they added, saying he leaves a legacy “of love and brightness.”
Born Isaac Freeman III, Fatman Scoop was from New York City’s Harlem neighborhood and broke out with 1999’s “Be Faithful.” What started as a minor success in the U.S. took off in Europe with a 2003 re-release, hitting No. 1 on the singles charts in the U.K. and Ireland.
The next year, he appeared on the U.K. television series “Chancers,” in which musicians mentored artists who wanted to make it in the U.S., the BBC reported. He also was a contestant on “Celebrity Big Brother 16: UK vs USA,” which was filmed in the U.K. and aired in 2015.
Scoop — sometimes stylized as Fat Man Scoop or FatMan Scoop — collaborated with Elliott on “Lose Control,” a 2005 song of the summer that also featured Ciara. The track won a short-form music video Grammy at the 2006 award show.
The same year as “Lose Control,” he was featured on Mariah Carey’s “It’s Like That.” He also was featured on tracks from Timbaland, David Guetta, The Situation and Skrillex, among other artists. In 2018, he reunited with Elliott and Ciara for a remix of the latter’s “Level Up.”
Elliott praised Scoop's “VOICE and energy” Saturday on X, saying he had contributed to many songs that made people happy over more than two decades.
“Your IMPACT is HUGE & will be NEVER be forgotten,” she added.
His longtime booking agency, MN2S, described him as an artist with “boundless enthusiasm,” a passion for music and a voice and personality that "made an indelible mark on the industry.”
His MN2S representative, Sharron Elkabas, said in a statement Saturday that she had spoken to him a few days earlier.
“He was in such good spirits. It’s hard to believe he is no longer with us,” she said.

Ricky Pearsall, 49ers' first-round pick, in stable condition after shooting in San Francisco robbery attempt
Ricky Pearsall, the San Francisco 49ers' first-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, was shot during an attempted robbery at San Francisco's Union Square, per a statement from San Francisco police.
Pearsall is reportedly in stable condition and the suspect is in custody. There were initially conflicting reports over whether he was shot in the chest or the arm, but police later confirmed to the San Francisco Chronicle that it was the chest.
He was seen walking to the ambulance while covering a chest wound in a video posted by a KTVU reporter on social media.
The Niners released a statement confirming Pearsall was the victim of an alleged attempted robbery and describing his condition as "serious but stable" after a bullet wound to the chest:
"He sustained a bullet wound to his chest and is in serious but stable condition. We ask that you please respect his privacy at this time. Our thoughts and prayers are with Ricky and the entire Pearsall family."
Police told KTXL's Sean Cunningham that Pearsall was shot after a struggle for the gun with a suspect, who was allegedly attempting to steal a Rolex watch while Pearsall was going to a signing event. The suspect was also reportedly shot through the chest and is currently stable at San Francisco General Hospital, where Pearsall is being treated.
San Francisco mayor London Breed and chief of police William Scott both posted statements confirming and reacting to the news, which comes at a time when San Francisco crime is a contentious issue (year-to-date data currently shows robbery to be down 22%).
Scott later revealed in a news conference the suspect is a 17-year-old male from Tracy, Calif. who is believed to have been alone. San Francisco district attorney Brooke Jenkins said the state will have his charges filed in juvenile court "at this time."
The Niners selected Pearsall with the 31st overall pick of the draft, adding him to a wide receiver room that already included All-Pros Brandon Aiyuk and Deebo Samuel. Soon after the shooting was reported, Samuel tweeted that Pearsall is "good."
Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Rachaad White, who played with Pearsall at Arizona State, also posted a response expressing shock.
Pearsall played at Arizona State and Florida in his college career, with 965 receiving yards and six total touchdowns in his final season with the Gators. He was mostly seen as a second-round prospect entering the draft, but was well-regarded for his route running and soft hands as a slot receiver.
Injuries had so far limited Pearsall's first NFL training camp, spending time on the reserve/non-football injury list with a hamstring injury and working through a shoulder injury after his activation. It's unclear how much time he will to miss due to his gunshot wound.

August Alsina Responds To Being Called A “Gay Bi**h” After Discussing His Sexuality
August Alsina is seemingly unbothered by a fan referring to him as a “gay bi**h” while also giving the crooner a compliment. The statement comes days after a conversation with Alsina went viral as he discussed opening himself up to a same-sex relationship.
“August Alsina music still slap. You gay bi**h you,” tweeted a fan, with the “I Luv It” singer resharing the post with several laugh emojis. He was also sure to clarify that he found the tweet funny and took no offense, as another fan replied in his defense, “I was about to get to cussing till I seen you laughing at it, lmfao, people are wild.”
“Na, no need. Dat sh*t was funny asl,” he replied. Check out both posts below.
Alsina’s viral appearance The Counsel Culture Show found the Louisiana singer sharing his belief that God played a part in him being open to dating men, a statement that was met with backlash from several viewers.
“It’s not even me that’s opening my heart. It’s that power that’s higher than myself,” he began to Nick Cannon and other co-hosts who asked about his sexuality. “I always say that the greatest gift that God could ever give me was exposure—to expose me to so many different kinds of people, places, and things. When people want you to define yourself [in terms of sexuality], love is much more complex than that.”
Rapper and reality star Akbar V was one of the more vocal observers to share their thoughts, dismissing Alsina’s belief that his desire to date men has something to do with The Lord.
“Jesus ain’t did nun like this y’all play with God too much … He gives us a choice… How did God do this and he says it’s a sin? So does that mean God is a liar?” she commented on a repost of the interview clip. “Kids, don’t believe this. God don’t do this … His word don’t come back void … If He says don’t do this and someone says He told him to do this, that means you’re calling God a liar, and God is not a liar … Now, I’m not the one to judge ’cause we all fall short of His glory, but don’t put God in your worldly foolishness.”
Alsina appeared to respond to Akbar subtly after promoting his new fragrance on Instagram, writing, “M E S S A G E ?️ !! .. there’s a lot more that could be said, but I don’t want to interrupt the Grace of God over life that speaks the loudest. Stay well!”

Cameron Diaz marked her 52nd birthday with a chic evening at Tre Lune, an Italian restaurant in Montecito, California. The "Mask" actress was joined by her husband, Benji Madden, as well as A-list friends Chris Pratt and his pregnant wife, Katherine Schwarzenegger. Also in attendance were fashion designer Charlotte Ronson and Diaz and Madden's four-year-old daughter, Raddix.
Diaz looked effortlessly chic in a black blouse with loose-fitting trousers and sleek black loafers. Her blonde hair was swept into a simple updo, with loose strands framing her face. She accessorized minimally with dainty earrings, a gold-chained necklace, and a bold red lip color.
After enjoying a tasty dinner, Diaz was seen leaving the restaurant cradling a gift basket in one arm while holding hands with her daughter. Madden kept it casual in a black sweatshirt, matching pants, and comfy black and white sneakers, accessorizing with a dark green cap and gold chains. He was spotted chatting amiably with Ronson, who looked stylish in a gray long-sleeved shirt and high-waisted denim jeans.
Chris Pratt opted for a dark gray shirt and denim jeans while Katherine looked cozy in black trousers and a tan coat.
Diaz has been open about her views on aging, saying that she "doesn't want it to be about how [she] looks." She also revealed that she rarely follows a beauty or skincare routine.
In addition to celebrating her birthday, Diaz has a few projects lined up, including reprising her role as Princess Fiona in the upcoming "Shrek 5," set for a July 2026 release. She is also starring alongside Jamie Foxx in the action comedy "Back In Action," hitting Netflix on November 15.

Nicki Minaj has come under fire over her husband's remarks during a TikTok Live. The "Super Freaky Girl" artist got dragged online for not checking her spouse using a gay slur.
"Don't you let anybody or anything steal your mother f**king joy," the 41-year-old said in the Friday, August 30 live stream. Kenneth, who sat behind the femcee, responded with a smile, "That's right, especially little f**s or f**k boys."
Many have since expressed their disappointment on X, formerly Twitter, with one noting that he "just insulted her entire male fanbase." Another argued, "it's giving the popular girl who says she's for the gays but let her boyfriend say slurs while she laughs."
A third added, "This is crazy especially knowing 90% of her fans are gay men." Someone else fumed, "This is the second time he has said this around her and she didn't correct him. Her fandom is mostly gay men smh."
Others, meanwhile, slammed Kenneth by bringing up his troubled past. "He ain't complaining when the same gays are paying his court fees and funding his wife lifestyle."
Back in July 2022, Kenneth was sentenced to home confinement for failing to register as a sex offender in California despite prosecutors' push for serious jail time. He had to register as a sex offender because he was convicted of first-degree attempted rape in the state in 1995.
In November 2019, Kenneth was arrested during a traffic stop when authorities noticed he failed to register in California. He was later arrested again for failing to register as a sex offender in March 2020 and pleaded guilty in September 2021.

Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union had a hard year
Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union have endured a “hard” year.
The 42-year-old former sports star made the confession during an Instagram post that marked their 10th wedding anniversary.
“Year nine was hard for us. We were kind of reminiscing how we got to even here,” Wade said in a video message.
Wade — who shares Kaavia, 5, with Union, as well as Xavier, 10, Zaya, 17, and Zaire, 22 from previous relationships — also heaped praise on his wife.
“Thank you for being there to show me all of the things I forget along the way. Thank you for continuing to show me that you ain’t going nowhere. That you’re willing to love me through shortcomings I’ve had and the moments of growth that I have. So, thank you for teaching me, thank you for believing in me,” he said.
Meanwhile, Union has also paid a glowing tribute to the former NBA star.
The 51-year-old actress hailed Wade as her “homie, lover, partner, and best friend.”
“[Ten] years of having a very long, very fun, very loving, never ending sleepover with my homie, lover, partner, and best friend. Through sickness and health, crisis and celebrations, through bad golf days and flubbed lines and new adventures … We stand united and we thrive. 10 toes down, 10 years in, forever to go,” Union wrote on Instagram.
Last year, Wade acknowledged that married life isn’t always easy.
The retired sports star revealed that he and Union have had to work at their romance in order to make it work.
“Success is waking up everyday, doing it again and again. It’s hard out here,” Wade — who played for the Miami Heat, Chicago Bulls and Cleveland Cavaliers during his NBA career — told E! News.

Chris Tucker celebrates Michael Jackson’s birthday in dance video with DC Young Fly
On Monday (Aug. 26), Chris Tucker and his charity organization held a celebrity golf tournament in Georgia. Jerome Bettis, Big Tigger, Ariel Collins, and many more were spotted at the star-studded event.
Also in attendance was DC Young Fly, a comedian who many have compared to the tournament's legendary host. In an Instagram video posted on Thursday (Aug. 29), the “Wild 'N Out” talent could be seen dancing alongside Tucker to Michael Jackson's “Rock With You.” “Had a great time this week at [my] golf tournament!” Tucker wrote in the post's description before reminding his followers that Aug. 29 also represented what would have been MJ's 66th birthday.
In a past interview with GQ, the Rush Hour actor spoke on how he and the King of Pop, who he considered to be a close friend, first met. “I was in New York for two days waiting to meet MJ,” Tucker recalled. “I took a private jet there. I said, ‘Well, I ain't heard from him, I gotta go.’ Took a private jet back to LA and as soon as I landed, I had a message: ‘Michael Jackson wants to meet you tomorrow morning.’ I was still on the plane. I went up to the captain and said, ‘I'll pay you whatever you want to take me back to New York.’”
Elsewhere in that same feature, he reflected on how the late icon would try and get him to work more. “[Michael] used to always say, ‘Let's make history. We want to see more of you, Chris! What are you doing?’”
Meanwhile, DC Young Fly told Cam Newton about his relationship with Tucker during an appearance on Newton's “Funky Friday Podcast.” “[He's] always been an OG,” the “85 South Show” frontman explained. “I can call [Ice Cube] and I can call Chris right now, and we ain't ever gotta make a movie. It's just the principle of them being a resource, and I can call them and say, ‘Hey, what you think about this?’”

Steph Curry Signs Record-Breaking Extension, Set to Stay with Warriors Through 2027
*Steph Curry secured his future with the Golden State Warriors by signing a one-year, $62.6 million extension, making it the highest single-season contract in NBA history and keeping him with the team through 2027.
This deal pushes Curry’s career earnings past $500 million, joining LeBron James and Kevin Durant in this milestone.
Meanwhile, LeBron signed a two-year, $104 million contract with the Lakers, which includes a player option and a no-trade clause, but his earnings are lower due to the Lakers’ salary cap constraints.
“I’ve always said I want to be a Warrior for life,” Curry, 36, told Marc Spears Andscape in July, The Mirror reports. “At this stage in my career, I feel like that’s possible.”
Curry has spent all 15 seasons of his NBA career with the Warriors. He is a two-time MVP and has won four championships with the team, most recently in 2022, when he was named Finals MVP.
The AP writes, “Curry is now guaranteed about $178 million for the next three seasons; about $55.8 million for this season, about $59.6 million for 2025-26 and now about $62.6 million — the most the Warriors could offer by league rule — for 2026-27.”
Meanwhile, on the homefront, Curry and his wife Ayesha Curry announced in May the birth of their fourth baby child, a boy named Caius Chai.
“Our sweet baby boy decided to make an early arrival!! He’s doing great and we are finally settling in at home as a family of 6! So grateful!” Steph captioned a black-and-white photo of the newborn’s hand on Instagram.
“Caius Chai 5/11/24” he wrote at the end of the caption
Caius joins older siblings Riley Elizabeth, 11, Ryan Carson, 8, and Canon W. Jack, 5.

More importantly, they said Johnny loved his family and offered their support to his grieving relatives.
Other NHL players and athletes across the sports spectrum, including Lebron James, paid tribute to the NHL great and how heartbreaking the loss of Gaudreau and his family to the sports community.

Irv Gotti Reveals Biopic on DMX in the Works
Irv Gotti is making a comeback after a serious health scare. The music mogul recently revealed that he’s back to work after suffering a stroke and is diving into a new project—a biopic about the late DMX.
So far, Irv hasn’t dropped many details yet. As you know, DMX tragically passed away in April 2021 due to a cocaine-induced heart attack, leaving a massive void in the hip-hop world.
Irv Gotti and DMX shared a long history together, so if anyone can bring the rapper’s life story to the big screen, it’s Irv.
While we’re still waiting for more information about the film, one thing’s for sure, we can’t wait to see what he has in store to honor DMX’s legacy.
