#MAGFAB: Halle Berry for Marie Claire - The Changemakers Issue 2024!
You know a designer label has lasting power when a signature item starts making the rounds among Hollywood's style stars. Versace, for instance, hit it big with their stacked pumps in 2022. The following year, everyone was carrying Gucci's reimagined Horsebit chain bag. This year, an unexpected garment has taken hold—and "garment" is a loose word.
Celebrities are clamoring to get their hands on a sculpturesque Balmain design that's more artwork than fashion. The item is essentially a bouquet of ivory flowers, being clutched by two ghostly white hands. Though it's barely clothing at all, the industry's most stylish stars literally cannot stop wearing it.
The most recent instance of this, came from Halle Berry, who starred on Marie Claire's 2024 Changemakers Issue, photographed by Yana Yatsuk. The Never Let Go actor tapped into her new film's supernatural vibe, posing on the cover wearing Balmain's three-dimensional top and not much else.

Styled by Deborah Afshani, Berry wore a fitted black pencil skirt from LaQuan Smith (shop it here) and a crystal-encrusted Givenchy ear cuff. The jewels had a similarly supernatural quality, with a fluid, bubble shape and a futuristic platinum finish. The extravagant design costs a cool $1,090.
Months earlier, on March 15, the same top (if you could call it that) appeared on the form of another A-list star—this time, that of Sydney Sweeney. The actor attended the Los Angeles premiere of her religious horror film Immaculate, looking like an exhibit in the world's chicest art museum. Like Berry, the actor was also dressing for a ghostly part.
Sweeney's stylist, Molly Dickson, paired the design with black bottoms to further emphasize the "floating in air" illusion. She, too, wore a silver ear cuff and styled her hair in a greaser-style slick-back.
With fashion month in full swing, I wouldn't be surprised if this elaborate creation made another celebrity appearance at Balmain's upcoming Sept. 25 show. Watch this space.
#RHOP: It Appears There's Been a New Development in Gizelle Bryant's Dating Life
Gizelle Bryant is back for The Real Housewives of Potomac Season 9, and she is ready to focus on all of the relationships in her life. This includes her talking about her love life when RHOP Season 9 premieres on Bravo on Sunday, October 6 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
The mom of three has been very open about the adventures and struggles in her dating life on RHOP, and this season will be no exception to that. Per her official bio for Season 9, Gizelle is "thriving as she focuses on dating and building out the newly rebranded GNA Fusion, a wellness initiative in memory of her late father. After an emotional roller-coaster year, she's decided to mend some of her fractured relationships in the group, but the way she goes about it defies expectations."
Are Gizelle Bryant and Jason Cameron still together?
Gizelle's most recent beau is Winter House's Jason Cameron, who she first started seeing in early 2023. Most recently, in July, Gizelle gave a look inside of their relationship when they hit the town to support Summer House alum Hannah Berner, and Jason appeared in the background of some of her Instagram photos.
But it's unclear if Season 9 will focus on Gizelle trying to date other people or where she and Jason currently stand.
Earlier this year, Gizelle appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen in February 2024 where she officially labeled their relationship as a "situationship," noting that Jason is free to "situation." This means that she is also free to date other people, but she hasn't made those relationships public.
During the RHOP Season 8 reunion, Gizelle revealed that she and Jason have agreed to keep any other relationships off of social media. "Jason and I, in the beginning, very much talked about, like, 'Yo, don't have any bullsh-t on social media,'" she explained. "Like, 'I'm not trying to explain your behavior, but you're free to do whatever it is you want. As am I.'"
Gizelle also revealed during the Season 8 reunion that there were other people that she has been dating "ish." She said, "Just with all that's happened lately, I just emotionally need to get myself together."

Nicki Minaj has changed her mind about releasing a deluxe edition of her latest album. Instead, the "Moment 4 Life" hitmaker decided that she will unleash a new record titled "Pink Friday 3".
On Sunday, September 15, the 41-year-old female hip-hop artist went public with the exciting news. Making use of X, formerly known as Twitter, she spilled that the upcoming record will feature "iconic" songs.
Making a reference to her fans, famously known as Barbz, Nicki announced, " Dear Barbz, IMPORTANT #GagCity ANNOUNCEMENT: Instead of doing a DELUXE to Pink Friday 2, I've decided to do a brand new album. I'll still incorporate new songs like #Mamita & [The 'anxiety' song] for the remainder of the tour tho...and I'll announce the new date within the next couple weeks."
Nicki went on to tease, "The new music is just too good to be thrown away on a deluxe album. Last night, the songs I recorded were just way too iconic. I love you guys so much. You know that. I know you do. I'll still give you something leading up to the announcement, so no worries."
The "Barbie World" raptress, who previously said that she would drop the deluxe album "Pink Friday 2: Gag City Reloaded" on September 13, further assured, "PF3 is about to do PRECISELY wtf BEEN needed to be done. TRUST ME BARBZ. IM SO EXCITED. BLESSED. LOVED (by the Barbz) & fortunately (for the Barbz & me), I've learned A LOT since 12/08/23."
Nicki went on to share, "PF2 means so much to me. As my 1st album as #PapaBear mama, it's just very special to me for so many reasons you guys aren't aware of. I put every song on there in a specific order, etc. So to honor that, I'm going to give it the respect & integrity it deserves as a beautiful body of work & not add anything else to it. 1 or 2 songs is no big deal but 5-7 songs feels a little sloppy right now (In my humble opinion)."
"This era has just been so successful, rewarding, satisfying, etc. after much thought, I want to be for CERTAIN that I am being intentional about every single decision being made around both PF2 AND PF3," she continued. She concluded the message by reminding her devotees that she was about to perform at her show in Birmingham.

#RIP: Tito Jackson, brother of Michael Jackson and Jackson 5 co-founder, has died at age 70:
Tito Jackson, who rose to fame alongside his brothers in the Jackson 5, has died, according to reports. He was 70.
The news was first reported by "ET" with Steve Manning, a longtime Jackson family friend and former Jackson family manager, telling the outlet he died Sunday. Tito's nephew Siggy Jackson confirmed his death to "People."
With siblings Jackie, Jermaine, Marlon and Michael Jackson, Tito became a Motown hit as one-fifth of the Jackson 5, later The Jacksons. The group's four consecutive Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 singles "I Want You Back," "ABC," "The Love You Save" and "I'll Be There" were part of the foundation of what became known as Jacksonmania, as the brothers crooned and danced their way into the hearts of America under the stiff management of father Joe Jackson.

Jackson was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as part of the Jackson 5 in 1997, and earned three Grammy nominations throughout his career as part of the group for best R&B performance by a duo or group and best contemporary vocal performance by a duo or group. The group released 16 studio albums, 10 as the Jackson 5 and six as The Jacksons, becoming a household name as a unit and as individuals. The Jacksons became a national sensation, a seminal boy band with chart-topping and cultural success, especially in Black homes across the country.
Jackson also embarked on a solo career, releasing albums "Tito Time" in 2016 and "Under Your Spell" in 2021. He released new music as recently as last year, joining forces with Brazilian singer Natalia Damini for their song "Attitude" and its accompanying music video.
Born and raised in Gary, Indiana, Jackson was the third of 10 children of the family, including his brothers and bandmates as well as Randy, Rebbie, La Toya, Faloola Tika and Janet Jackson. Parents Joe and Katherine Jackson moved into the 672-square-foot two-bedroom bungalow in January 1950 at 2300 Jackson St., which served as the name of The Jacksons' 1989 album and its lead single.
As success declined for the band of brothers, they ventured into solo careers, with Jermaine and Michael Jackson finding their own path outside the group.
Michael Jackson became one of the most significant figures in music, crowned the King of Pop for his contributions to music and beyond. Jackson's death on June 25, 2009, at his home in Los Angeles of an accidental drug overdose at age 50, shocked the world, though his legacy has been tarnished throughout his career and in death due to multiple allegations of abuse.
Tito Jackson mourned his brother Michael over the summer on the 15th anniversary of his death earlier this year. Tito Jackson shared a black-and-white image of his younger brother with the hashtags "#15yearswithoutmichaeljackson #gonetoosoon #alwaysinourhearts #MJ4ever #missyoumuch #nowords."
Just four days before his death, Jackson and brothers Jackie and Marlon visited a memorial for Michael in Munich before a concert they performed together.
"We're deeply grateful for this special place that honors not only his memory but also our shared legacy," Tito Jackson wrote on Instagram with a photo of the brothers at the memorial site, covered in flowers and featuring photos of Michael Jackson. "Thank you for keeping his spirit alive."
Tito, Jackie and Marlon have been performing as The Jacksons, with upcoming concerts scheduled for Oct. 25 in Atlantic City, New Jersey and Nov. 1 in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Tito Jackson is survived by sons Taj, Taryll and TJ, whom he shared with late ex-wife Delores Martes.
The 76th annual Primetime Emmy Awards revealed its full winners on Sunday, September 15. "Shogun", "The Bear" and "Baby Reindeer" came out as the biggest winners at the ceremony, hosted by Eugene Levy and Dan Levy, as the three shows took home four prizes each.
After winning best directing in a drama series, "Shogun" earned its second award when star Hiroyuki Sanada was named as the winner of Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series. Hiroyuki, who played Lord Yoshii Toranaga on the hit series, received his first Emmy award after besting out other nominees including Idris Elba ("Hijack"), Donald Glover ("Mr. & Mrs. Smith"), Walter Goggins ("Fallout"), Gary Oldman ("Slow Horses") and Dominic West ("The Crown").
"It was an East-meets-West dream project with respect. And 'Shogun' taught me that when people work together, we can make miracle. We can create a better future together," Hiroyuki, who also served as the show's producer, said in his speech. "Thank you so much."
"Shogun" showed its dominance when star Anna Sawai was honored with Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series prize. As she received the coveted prize, Anna admitted that she "was crying before [her] name was announced." She also thanked her family, especially her mom.
The victory marked Anna's first Emmy win. Additionally, the actress, who played Toda Mariko on the series, made history as the first woman of Asian descent to win in the category.

#BoxOfficeNews: 'Beetlejuice Beetlejuice' Dominates Box Office For Second Week
"Beetlejuice Beetlejuice", the highly anticipated sequel to Tim Burton's 1988 classic, held onto the top spot at the box office for a second consecutive weekend. With an impressive $51.6 million domestic haul and an international take of $28.7 million, the film has brought its global gross to $264.3 million. Starring Winona Ryder, Michael Keaton, and newcomer Jenna Ortega, the film follows Lydia Deetz and her rebellious daughter, Astrid, as they navigate a series of supernatural events.
Despite facing competition from "Speak No Evil" and "Deadpool & Wolverine", "Beetlejuice Beetlejuice" maintained its box office dominance, earning a total of $188 million domestically and a worldwide gross of $76.3 million.
In a distant second place, Universal Pictures and Blumhouse's psychological horror film "Speak No Evil" made a strong debut with $11.5 million in its domestic opening weekend and an additional $9.3 million internationally. The film, a remake of the 2022 Danish film of the same name, follows a family's weekend getaway that turns into a nightmare.
"Deadpool & Wolverine" from Marvel Studios rounded out the top three with $5.2 million in its eighth weekend of release. The superhero blockbuster has earned a total of $621.5 million domestically, joining the elite group of top 15 domestic blockbusters of all time.
""Am I Racist?",a controversial documentary featuring conservative blogger Matt Walsh, surprised many by landing in fourth place with an estimated $4.8 million opening weekend. The film, which garnered a strong "A" CinemaScore, has reignited the debate surrounding race and diversity.
In fifth place, the Dennis Quaid biopic "[Reagan]" took in almost $3 million in its third week of release, bringing its domestic total to $23.3 million. Despite its star power, "The Killer's Game" starring Dave Bautista underperformed at the box office, earning only $2.6 million in its opening weekend. "Alien: Romulus" and Blake Lively's "It Ends with Us" followed closely in seventh and eighth place, respectively.
The faith-based doc "God's Not Dead: In God We Trust" and the GKIDS anime "DAN DA DAN: First Encounter" both missed out on the top 10, while the Ian McKellen period drama "The Critic" had a disappointing opening weekend.
As the box office landscape continues to shift, "Beetlejuice Beetlejuice" remains a force to be reckoned with, while newcomers like "Speak No Evil" and "Am I Racist?" make their mark on the cinematic scene.

Kevin Hart shuts down vegan fast-food chain Hart House after 2 years
In a surprising turn of events, comedian Kevin Hart has announced the closure of all four locations of his vegan fast-food chain, Hart House. The restaurant officially closed its doors on Sept. 10, 2024, just two years after launching.
Closure Announcement
During an interview with Eater Los Angeles, Andy Hooper, CEO of Hart House, confirmed the news of the closures. Hooper expressed gratitude for the restaurant’s support, stating, “The response to the product has been incredible, and we thank our committed team, our customers, and our community partners for helping make the change we all craved, and for their unwavering support of Hart House.”
Social Media Tribute
Hart House also took to Instagram to share a heartfelt message with their followers. The post featured a simple image with the words “thank you” and a caption that read, “Thank you. To our team, guests, and community, who helped make the change we all craved. A Hartfelt goodbye for now as we start a new chapter.”
Initial Vision for Hart House
When Hart first announced his plans for Hart House in June 2022, he aimed to create a sustainable line of healthy fast-food options. He promised that the eateries would serve affordable meals free from preservatives, artificial colors, hormones, antibiotics, high-fructose corn syrup, trans fats, and cholesterol. Hart stated, “As someone who has been preaching ‘health is wealth,’ building Hart House felt like the natural evolution of my flexitarian lifestyle and my business ecosystem.”
Locations and Expansion
The flagship restaurant opened in August 2022 at the bustling intersection of Hollywood Boulevard and Highland Avenue. Following its success, three additional locations were launched in Westchester, Monrovia, and University Park, all in Los Angeles. Despite the initial excitement and growth, the reasons behind the abrupt closure of these locations remain unclear.
Community Impact and Future Plans
Hart House was not just a restaurant; it was a movement towards healthier eating options in the fast-food industry. Hart’s vision was to provide delicious, sustainable food that delivered “Can’t-Believe-It” flavor in every bite. His commitment to health and wellness resonated with many, making the closures all the more impactful for the community.
As Hart moves forward, fans and supporters are left wondering what the future holds for him and his culinary ventures. Will he pivot to a new concept, or will he take a break from the restaurant scene? Only time will tell.

Diana Ross and Lionel Richie Disappoint Fans at The Fools In Love Festival
Last year Lionel Richie went off on stage after Diana Ross went to Beyoncé's birthday concert, rather than appear with him to sing their blockbuster duet, "Endless Love
Recently Richie and Ross performed at the same festival and Diana STILL refused to sing with him...
According to Showbiz411
Soul music fans in Los Angeles are still talking about the Fool in Love Festival held August 31st.
The day — cut down from two to one — brought together dozens of classic soul artists each of whom performed for about 20 minutes. They included Gladys Knight, Al Green, Chaka Khan, and Santana.
Most fans complained that the festival was “chaotic” and that it took place not in a theater or a stadium, but a parking lot.
Top billed for the day were Diana Ross and Lionel Richie, former Motown labelmates who had a smash hit back in 1981 with the song “Endless Love.” Richie wrote the song for the movie of the same title. The movie was a bust but the song has gone on to be covered hundreds of times.

It did seem from the advertising that Ross and Richie would sing together. But fans were disappointed to learn that the two singers don’t speak to each and don’t sing their famous duet ever. They each have performed it in solo shows, though, so it’s not that there aren’t charts for the musicians.
But Ross appeared at 8pm for a medley of hits. Richie came on at 9:30pm. But no “Endless Love” from either of them.
Da Brat & Wife Judy Harris-Dupart Address Wild Divorce Rumors
The couple married in February 2022 and welcomed their first child together in July the following year.
Da Brat publicly revealed she’s a lesbian in March 2020 in an emotional Instagram post, where she shared her love for her then-girlfriend, Judy Harris-Dupart, a businesswoman and founder of Kaleidoscope Hair Products. It was a monumental moment for Da Brat, who’d kept her sexuality private for much of her career, despite rumors and speculation.
Harris-Dupart and the So So Def rapper married in February 2022 and welcomed their first child together in July the following year. But evidently, chatter surrounding the couple’s status have been so (so) deafening, Da Brat and Harris-Dupart were forced to address the rumors of a rumored divorce online.
On Friday (September 13), Da Brat and Harris-Dupart shared an Instagram video of themselves laying in bed together and confronted the rumors head-on.
“F### them people,” Da Brat says in the clip. “I’m so sick of hearing all that b#######. We ain’t getting no f###### divorce.”
Harris-Dupart went on to provide more context, saying, “We’re getting a divorce because the baby that we had was with my secret lover that’s a man. So it’s me and his baby, but I convinced you to carry it and I’m leaving you for him. But you found out I was cheating with him, so now you’re trying to sue me for child support and put me out the house.”
Da Brat continued, “B####, bye. We ain’t no muthafuckin’ problems like that. That’s the dumbest s###. Who would make this stupid s### up and why?”
Da Brat and Judy Harris-Dupart tied the knot on February 22, 2022 in a lavish ceremony in Fairburn, Georgia. The date, chosen for its numerical significance (2/22/22), symbolized unity and harmony for the couple. The wedding featured an all-star guest list. Da Brat, known for her tomboy style, wore a custom Esé Azénabor gown with sneakers, while Judy also dressed in a gown.
Their wedding also served as a public celebration of love and self-acceptance. Da Brat expressed how Harris-Dupart helped her embrace her true self. The couple has been open about their relationship journey, sharing key moments with fans on social media and their reality show Brat Loves J.
“We’re already a union,” Brat said at the time. “The paper is just going to solidify it. But she wasn’t ever going nowhere, anyway. And I wasn’t letting her go. So, we get to do it and show the world that we’re a union. It’s a milestone because, in the ’90s, things like this couldn’t happen.”

Eve Reveals Hidden Pregnancy, False Appendicitis Claims During Self-Titled Sitcom Filming in New Memoir
*In 2006, Eve delivered laughs on her self-titled UPN sitcom along with rhymes for music fans. But amid the professional highs, came a hidden personal low with her ectopic pregnancy.
Referencing a new interview People, TooFab reports Eve revealed her situation for the first time in her upcoming memoir “Who’s That Girl.” The only person she said knew the truth was her husband, Maximillion Cooper.
“I told my husband [about the miscarriage] when we got close, but never ever spoke about it in public, not even [while I was hosting] The Talk,” Eve told People.
In an excerpt from “Who’s That Girl,” the “What Ya Want” hitmaker detailed the ectopic pregnancy that came while filming her hit small-screen comedy “Eve.” As a result, she was forced to undergo emergency surgery.
Despite labeling the experience traumatic, Eve kept it to herself, instead choosing to focus on her career in the early 2000s, telling everyone it was “appendicitis” as she with the tribulation on her own.
“It was 2006, and I was still filming my ‘Eve’ TV series when I found out that I was pregnant. It was called a tubal pregnancy, where the embryonic sac ruptured in one fallopian tube. It’s also known as an ectopic pregnancy. I had to have emergency surgery and stop filming the show for two weeks. I don’t know why I lied to everyone on set and said that my appendix had ruptured, really,” the Ruff Ryders affiliate wrote. “Maybe because I was lying to myself. If I faced losing my baby, then I didn’t know if two weeks would be enough emotional healing time. In the end, it was barely enough healing time for me physically, before I was right back to work on set.”
To counter being “In denial” about her miscarriage, Eva admitted to doing “whatever it took” to show up and get the job done, even if it was to her “own detriment,” according to TooFab.
After years went by before she was able to grieve the loss of her first child, Eve eventually forgave herself. She ultimately learned that the tragedy wasn’t her fault and she deserved to be a mother. In 2022, motherhood came for the “Tambourine” rapper/actor with the arrival of Wilde, her son with Cooper.
Although Eve discovered she was pregnant in 2021, she initially kept it to herself while filming “Queens,” alongside costars Brandy, Naturi Naughton, and Nadine Velazquez.
“I couldn’t tell anybody then because it was such a new pregnancy,” Eve voiced. “I, one hundred percent, was acting like an absolutely crazy person. It was baking in L.A., so I was asking for ice to be put down my back. When I finally told the girls that I was pregnant months into shooting, they were like, ‘That’s why you were acting crazy. Thank God that you weren’t a psycho diva.'”
Moving forward during that time, Eve gives all credit to Cooper, who she calls her “anchor.”
“I always call him my anchor, because I live in the clouds and he’s definitely two feet on the ground,” she said. “I was hormonal, so I cried a lot. I was stressed. I missed home. I missed him. But he was great. He kept me calm. He’s such a good man and good dad, which is one of the reasons why I fell in love with him.”
Eve’s “Who’s That Girl,” which arrives Sept. 17, is available to preorder now, wherever books are sold.

Ex-CBS Exec Les Moonves’ Longstanding Beef With Janet Jackson Comes to Light
*Years ago the late great Notorious B.I.G. asked ‘What’s Beef?” While that question may be loaded with multiple ways to look at it before answering, former CBS CEO Les Moonves took his grievance against Janet Jackson to new levels years after the “Nipplegate” scandal involving her and Justin Timberlake.
ILoveOldSchoolMusic cites journalist, Yashar Ali, who stumbled upon the beef upon researching Moonves’ sexual assault case that led to his firing in 2018. The exec, who ran CBS from the 1990’s until his termination decades later, was allegedly forced to resign after sexual assault accusations surfaced from six women within the entertainment industry. In the end, Moonves had his contract with the network bought out for reportedly more than $100 million.
During his time at CBS, Moonves was the man in charge at CBS when Jackson and Timberlake took the stage during the 2004 Super Bowl halftime show, which aired on the Eye Network. Despite the pair repeatedly saying that Timberlake accidentally exposing Jackson’s right breast after performing his hit “Rock Your Body” was a mistake, CBS literally paid a heavy price for the incident with a $550,000.00 fine for FCC violations.
From there, it was on. Moonves was not having it and made sure Jackson and Timberlake caught his wrath in full. In his eyes their mistake was nothing more than an attempt to “stir up controversy.”
Ali (who spoke directly with those working underneath Moonves), mentioned that even though the “Rhythm Nation” singer apologized to Moonves, her way of doing it hit a sour note, with her not having a “sufficiently repentant” apology.
Jackson may not have bowed down to Moonves, but Timberlake did. With tears. According to HuffPost, tearfully laid out his regrets to the network big wig in a private meeting that resulted in him accepting and the former ‘N Sync member’s career being spared.
On the flip side, there are no tears from Jackson. Just dignity on display with professionalism and pride. A severe no-no for Moonves, as he reportedly vowed to destroy Miss Jackson with moves to dead her career in a permanent way.
“Moonves banned Jackson and Timberlake from the 2004 Grammys broadcast airing on CBS the week after the Super Bowl. But Timberlake was allowed to perform after he tearfully apologized for the incident, according to conversations Moonves had with my sources,” Ali reported via HuffPost. “The CBS chief executive, according to sources who spoke to me, was furious that Jackson didn’t make a similarly contrite apology to him. The fallout from the incident inflicted significant damage on Jackson’s career ― which until that point had produced 10 No. 1 hits ― and still reverberates to this day.
“Moonves ordered Viacom properties VH1 and MTV, and all Viacom-owned radio stations, to stop playing Jackson’s songs and music videos,” he continued. “The move had a huge impact on sales of her album “Damita Jo,” which was released in March 2004, just a month after the Super Bowl.”
Seven years later, the beef carried on. After he found out Jackson signed a book deal with CBS Corporation-owned Simon & Schuster for her book “True You: A Journey to Finding and Loving Yourself,” he responded accordingly to what went down
“How the f**k did she slip through?” Moonves asked while recounting the story to a source who spoke to me. He told another source that heads were going to roll as a result of the deal,” Ali stated in his report.
ILoveOldSchoolMusic noted that Jackson wasn’t the only person who got on Moonves’ bad side.
Actresses Cybil Shepherd, one of his six sexual assault accusers, and Bobbie Phillips were in his crosshairs after rejecting him. For Shepherd, it was the cancellation of her sitcom, “Cybil,” a move she claimed Moonves intentionally did to damage her career. With Phillips, she caught heat after going public in 2018 with him trying to bury allegations he sexually assaulted her in the mid-’90s.

Jay-Z and Michael Rubin Celebrate Opening of Fanatics Sports Betting Location in New Jersey
Jay-Z and Michael Rubin hosted the grand opening of a new Fanatics Sportsbook location right on the iconic Atlantic City boardwalk in New Jersey.
The event was held on Sunday at the Ocean Casino Resort where Jay linked up with Fanatics Betting and Gaming CEO Matt King and Ocean Casino Resort GM Bill Callahan to open the venue. Hov cut the ceremonial ribbon as Rubin and the rest cheered him on.
The event was attended by several celebrities, including former NBA player Jalen Rose, Quavo, former NFL players Dez Bryant and Ryan Clark, and more. Golfer Justin Thomas placed the first bet, a $100 ticket for Alabama to win the NCAA Football national championship.
The venue is tailored for fans to enjoy sports with a place called The Gallery, which has an elevated bar and lounge with seating for 60 people surrounded by slot machines, table games, and more.
Hov has been busy in the gambling industry as of late. Last year, he wrote a letter explaining why he wanted to open a casino in Times Square in New York City as a joint venture between Roc Nation and Caesar's Palace.
"The winning licensee must always put the well-being of New Yorkers at the top of their agenda and do right by its residents," the letter stated. "This is too important of a moment in our city's illustrious history. Times Square, the epicenter of entertainment with a palpable energy, is unmatched. Roc Nation and our partners are here to ensure Times Square remains connected to all facets of culture. There's no better location for a Caesars Palace entertainment destination than the Crossroads of the World."
James Packer Opens Up About “Trainwreck” Breakup with Mariah Carey
Eight years after the high-profile breakup between Australian billionaire James Packer and pop icon Mariah Carey, Packer is shedding light on the end of their engagement, calling it one of the “worst times” of his life. The pair’s relationship, which began in 2015 and ended in late 2016, was fraught with tension, and Packer is now revealing just how difficult it was for him.
In a candid interview with 7NEWS, as reported by RadarOnline, Packer, 57, described the breakup as a “trainwreck.” He recounted a particularly difficult period when Carey, 55, allegedly believed he had planted a negative story about her in the media. “Mariah and I had broken up, and she thought I’d planted a story in a magazine, which I hadn’t, and it made her look bad,” Packer shared. “She was threatening to say things about me, and so it was um… it was a trainwreck.”
The breakup, which occurred in October 2016, just nine months after they became engaged, marked the end of a whirlwind romance. Despite their seemingly glamorous lifestyle, Packer acknowledged that their relationship became toxic. “The times that I’ve been at my worst, you know, I’ve had a lot on my mind,” he admitted, alluding to personal struggles during that period.
Packer’s reflection comes years after both he and Carey moved on with their lives, but it highlights the complexity of their short-lived romance. The businessman, known for his vast wealth and media empire, has kept a relatively low profile since the split, while Carey, a music legend, continues to thrive in the entertainment world.
Their relationship, once seen as a fairy tale, became a tabloid sensation as it unraveled, with both parties going their separate ways under difficult circumstances. Now, Packer’s admission provides a rare glimpse into the emotional toll of their public breakup.

Naomi Campbell & Law Roach Accused Of Shading Rihanna After She Seemingly Ignored Them During Fashion Week Event: ‘We Don’t Go To The Shows With Our Tatas Out’
The speculated drama between Naomi Campbell and Rihanna appears to remain alive and well.
Social media users have determined that a recent video featuring the famous model and celebrity stylist Law Roach was a jab at the pop star, as a response to her appearing to ignore them during a fashion week event.
In the short clip, which appears to have been recorded the same day Rihanna, 36, was accused of intentionally disregarding Naomi Campbell, 54, and Law Roach, 46, the pair hopped on the “very demure, very mindful” social media trend adding their own spin. Law Roach first spoke in the video, stating:
“We don’t go to the shows like the other girls. We don’t come with our tatas out and our chichis out. Very demure.”
Passing the next line to Naomi Campbell, the runway star added:
“Very mindful…don’t give too much.”
Campbell went on to state that
“it’s not about showing yourself, it’s about showing the clothes,”
before the two added a few more suggestions to be “mindful” and “cutesy.” Reacting to the video, many social media users speculated that the remarks were clearly targeted at Rihanna. The “Diamonds” singer donned a mesh sequin gown to the aforementioned event, which left parts of her behind and her chest being exposed.
Despite Campbell’s team subsequently insisting that there is no bad blood between the celebs, Campbell’s video with Law Roach has internet users believing another story.

FDA Approves Apple’s AirPods Pro 2 as Hearing Aids for Mild to Moderate Hearing Loss
The FDA has approved Apple’s new “Hearing Aid Feature” for AirPods Pro 2, allowing them to serve as hearing aids for adults with mild to moderate hearing loss.
This feature will be available via a free software update for AirPods Pro 2 and iOS 18-compatible iPhones or iPads this fall. Users can check their hearing through a five-minute test and adjust sound settings accordingly. More than 30 million American adults experience hearing loss, yet many avoid hearing aids due to cost, accessibility, and stigma. Untreated hearing loss increases risks like social isolation, depression, and cognitive decline while using hearing aids can mitigate these issues.
A clinical study of 118 participants with perceived mild to moderate hearing loss showed Apple’s feature provided similar benefits to professionally fitted hearing aids, with no adverse effects reported. Dr. Michelle Tarver of the FDA lauded the approval as advancing accessibility to hearing support for adults with mild to moderate hearing loss.
The FDA’s approval follows a 2022 decision allowing over-the-counter (OTC) hearing aids without a prescription. While this has improved accessibility, hearing aids remain expensive, ranging from $99 to $7,000. In contrast, AirPods Pro 2 costs $249, making them a more affordable option in many cases.
Apple’s VP of Health, Sumbul Ahmad Desai, highlighted how the new feature personalizes hearing by amplifying specific sounds in real time. The Hearing Loss Association of America expressed optimism that Apple’s innovation could reduce stigma but noted that it may primarily help those with mild to moderate hearing loss. Those with more serious hearing issues likely won’t benefit from this innovation.
FBI Rules Shooting at Donald Trump’s Golf Resort a Second Assassination Attempt
Hours after a shooting took place near Donald Trump’s golf resort, the FBI has ruled the incident another assassination attempt.
Initially, the Trump campaign claimed that the shooting was not related to the former president. However, it has now been revealed that a man named Ryan Wesley Routh pointed a rifle toward the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida. The gunshots heard were a result of Secret Service agents shooting at Routh, who pushed the muzzle of his rifle through a chainlink fence outside the golf club before agents noticed and began firing.
Palm Beach County Sheriff Ric Bradshaw says Routh’s AK-style rifle had a scope on it, and Trump was on the golf course when Routh allegedly positioned the weapon in his direction. The shooter also brought two backpacks with him, which he hung on a fence and a GoPro camera. Routh was about 400 yards to 500 yards away from Trump and concealed in shrubbery. After agents shot at him, Routh dropped the weapon and fled in an SUV. Authorities located him shortly after in a neighboring county. They soon learned that he was intentionally trying to kill Trump.
Sunday’s incident arrives just nine weeks after the Republican presidential nominee was the subject of another assassination attempt during his Pennsylvania rally. Trump issued a statement informing the public that he was not injured in the latest shooting.
“Nothing will slow me down. I will NEVER SURRENDER,” Trump wrote. Routh’s motive remains unknown.
