Drew Barrymore for InStyle US - The Badass Women Issue 2020!
With almost eight years of parenting and a lifetime of Hollywood experience under her belt, Drew Barrymore has proven she can juggle it all — but at the end of the day, she's still human.
"Between homeschooling and working, I felt very overwhelmed at first — and I hate feeling overwhelmed," the actress and mother of two, 45, told InStyle in her cover story for the magazine's August Badass Women Issue, about how she is handling life amid the coronavirus pandemic with her daughters Frankie, 6, and Olive, 7½.
"It was weird to be a mom and a teacher and a provider and a friend. I felt sad for a while that I was all I could offer my children. Then I realized that I had to get out from under it," Barrymore said.
"I have so much empathy and patience for everyone but myself, it's sick," added The Drew Barrymore Show host, laughing.
Barrymore explained that she doesn't "watch the news in front of" her daughters, whom she shares with ex-husband Will Kopelman, "because I worry about the images." But at the same time, the Never Been Kissed actress doesn't "believe in bringing" Frankie and Olive up "in any type of bubble."
"We all marched in the Women's March," she said. "I was speaking to a wonderful educator, Britt Hawthorne, and she said if you're talking to your kids about George Floyd, talk about how this has affected the world. It's not to flower things up in an unrealistic way but to focus on the outcome of something."

While "Frankie was already out of school when it happened," Barrymore told InStyle that her older child's school "always puts everything on the table without telling the parents first."
"So as you're grappling with how to talk to your kids about something, they walk in and say, 'We just got told everything,' " she explained. "They're very aware, and we're reading a lot of books and discussing it."
"Olive's teacher said, 'When you're sitting around the dinner table, you should talk about it.' But I'm a single mom — we eat around the tiny kitchen island, usually watching a cartoon and chitchatting," she continued, adding with a laugh, "I was like, 'Oh my God, when you're sitting down for a family dinner?' Me and Norman Rockwell."
And her girls, Barrymore said, are what she's "most proud of" in her life: "Nothing in my life's journey was like, 'It's gonna happen for you.' And having kids was not something I wanted to get wrong. So I waited a long time."

The August issue of InStyle is available on newsstands, on Amazon and for digital download on July 17.

#RHOA: Porsha Williams Arrested In Louisville While Protesting For Breonna Taylor!
The RHOA activist was arrested while protesting at the DA’s office on behalf of Breonna Taylor.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta's Porsha Williams was arrested on Tuesday, July 14, while protesting at the DA’s office on behalf of Breonna Taylor in Louisville, Kentucky, The Daily Dish has confirmed. As of press time, she was still in custody.

Dennis McKinley first posted about Porsha being taken into custody on Instagram, and her sister, Lauren Williams, also spoke about it on Instagram, writing, "She has always been fearless. You mess with her people, you mess with her. She takes the case of #breonnataylor personally and she’s sacrificing work, time with her loved ones, and her comfort to make sure the offenders are held accountable for their actions. This is her passion, this is her purpose. God please protect them."
According to NBC News, Taylor was in her apartment when she was shot and killed by Louisville police on March 13. An investigation is currently underway. The EMT would have turned 27 last month and at the time Porsha and Lauren attended a Say Her Name March in Atlanta in honor of the Black women who have died, including Taylor.

When talking about the events of Tuesday's protest, Lauren also noted that Porsha is following in the footsteps of their grandfather, Rev. Hosea Williams, who was a pioneer in the Civil Rights Movement and worked alongside Martin Luther King Jr.
Porsha addressed her grandfather's work and following in his legacy of social activism in the Black Lives Matter movement last month on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, as well as on Amplify Our Voices: An Open Dialogue on Being Black in America.
"I think he would be saddened that the work that he had done and the work that [Martin Luther] King [Jr.] and John Lewis, the work that they had done, we're basically close to be in that [same position]," she said during an Amplify conversation on June 8. "It's not a race. This is a marathon. This is going to take some dedication... So I do think that he would be happy that we're coming together visually to see that but I do believe he would want us to take that mission just as serious as they did and the way they dedicated their life to it, I would think he would want us to do the same thing no matter what race you are."

#HipHopNews: Kid Cudi Blasts Music Publication For 'Spreading Lies' About His Eminem Collaboration!
Kid Cudi called out British music outlet New Musical Express for publishing a factually incorrect story about his Eminem-assisted single “The Adventures Of Moon Man & Slim Shady.” In an article that’s since been deleted, NME claimed Cudi was initially unhappy with the collaborative track.
“Never said this and im not sure how yall came up w it,” he wrote alongside a screenshot of the article. “I was clearly excited about my feature. Never once said I was unhappy about it nor did my energy suggest that. So to NME, get ur shit together and stop spreading LIES.”

NME’s story originated from Cudi’s interview on Lil Wayne’s Young Money Radio, which aired on Friday (July 10). The article’s author wrote, “Kid Cudi has revealed that he wasn’t happy with how his recent collaboration with Eminem turned out at first,” but no quote cited indicated he felt that way.
It appears the writer misinterpreted what Cudi meant when he said Eminem “destroyed” the song. The following quote was included in the piece.
“I got him on the phone. I had to tell him, I was like, ‘Yo bro, you fucking destroyed this shit.’ Because I was nervous because I was like, ‘Man, I’m fucking going get him Eminem on my song, he going body me on my own shit.’ But I was like, fuck it. like, fuck it. I just want a joint with Em.”
After being put on blast by Cudi, NME removed the story from its website.

Cudi’s “The Adventures Of Moon Man & Slim Shady” featuring Eminem was released last Friday. The track marked the first collaboration between the two artists.

Nick Cannon Dropped by ViacomCBS for Anti-Semitic Commentary!
Nick Cannon has been dropped by ViacomCBS. The 39-year-old star’s relationship with the network was ended after he made anti-Semitic comments on his podcast, during the June 30 episode of Cannon’s Class, Variety reported Tuesday (July 14).

During the episode, he interview rapper Professor Griff who was a part of Public Enemy before leaving due to anti-Semitic remarks. Nick said Black people are the “true Hebrews,” and discussed anti-Semitic conspiracy theories regarding the Rothschild family.
“It’s never hate speech, you can’t be anti-Semitic when we are the Semitic people. When we are the same people who they want to be. That’s our birthright. We are the true Hebrews,” he said.

A ViacomCBS spokesperson released a statement.
“ViacomCBS condemns bigotry of any kind and we categorically denounce all forms of anti-Semitism. We have spoken with Nick Cannon about an episode of his podcast ‘Cannon’s Class’ on YouTube, which promoted hateful speech and spread anti-Semitic conspiracy theories. While we support ongoing education and dialogue in the fight against bigotry, we are deeply troubled that Nick has failed to acknowledge or apologize for perpetuating anti-Semitism, and we are terminating our relationship with him. We are committed to doing better in our response to incidents of anti-Semitism, racism, and bigotry. ViacomCBS will have further announcements on our efforts to combat hate of all kinds,” they said.
He recently said he “can’t hold a candle” to this person in his life.
Nick then took to social media to apologize for his words

Rihanna Launches Skincare Line Fenty Skin!
Rihanna is expanding her Fenty empire. The style icon has announced that her new skincare line Fenty Skin will launch on July 31. Taking to Instagram, she shared the big announcement with her millions of followers.
“Ima try my best to be humble about this but, @fentyskin is coming July 31st exclusively at FENTYSKIN.COM!!” she captioned the post, which included a video of Rihanna using one of her new skincare products.
It’s been rumored that Rihanna was launching a skincare line when a trademark was filed for Fenty Skin in March 2019. The trademark included medicated and non-medicated skincare, soap, body care and personal care products, as well as as kits, tools, and applicators.

Customers who sign up online will receive early access to Fenty Skin products starting July 29, two days before the public launch.
Rihanna recently hinted at her expansion into the skincare world. “Skincare, it’s the truth. It either works or it doesn’t. There’s nowhere to hide,” she told British Vogue in March.
Fenty Skin is the latest addition to the ever-growing Fenty portfolio. In 2017, the singer launched Fenty Beauty, which reportedly made $100 million in sales in its first 40 days. In 2018, she introduced her lingerie line Savage x Fenty. Last year, she teamed up with LVMH to launch her own fashion brand, Fenty.

Kanye West DROPS OUT 2020 Presidential Campaign Only Gets 2 Percent In National Presidential Poll!
Rapper Kanye West received 2 percent of the vote in a national presidential poll conducted by Redfield & Wilton Strategies after the megastar announced that he was going to make a late bid for the White House.
Respondents of the poll were first asked who they would vote for in November, without mentioning West's name.

In that iteration of the survey, presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden led President Trump 48 percent to 40 percent, while third-party candidates Jo Jorgensen, a Libertarian, and Howie Hawkins, a member of the Green Party, each earned 1 percent support.
Voters were then prompted again, the pollster told The Hill.
This time, Redfield & Wilton mentioned West, asking, "If Kanye West is on the ballot in your state in the Presidential Election on 3 November 2020, for whom will you vote?"
In that iteration, Biden led trump 48 percent to 39 percent, while West and Jorgensen each garnered 2 percent support.

The poll was conducted July 9, less than a week after West's Independence Day tweet declaring his intention to launch his campaign.
In a subsequent interview with Forbes, West — once an ardent Trump supporter — said he was "taking the red hat off," referencing the president's signature "Make America Great Again" hat that West has publicly worn in the past.
"It looks like one big mess to me," West, 43, continued. "One of the main reasons I wore the red hat as a protest to the segregation of votes in the Black community. ... Also, other than the fact that I like Trump hotels and the saxophones in the lobby."
Despite West saying that he's running for president, it is still unclear if his campaign will come to fruition. One of the main obstacles West faces is getting his name on the ballot. Half a dozen states' filing deadlines have already passed, and several more have deadlines this week and next.

New York magazine reported that West had a team in Florida last week trying to gain enough signatures for him to get on the ballot in the Sunshine State. To appear on the ballot in the November, West would need 132,781 signatures by tomorrow, July 15.
However, political strategist Steve Kramer, who was part of the signature-gathering effort, told the publication Thursday that West was "out."
West argued in his Forbes interview that he should be allowed more time to file because of the coronavirus pandemic.

"I’m speaking with experts, I’m going to speak with Jared Kushner, the White House, with Biden," he said.

Former 'RHOA' Star Shereé Whitfield Reveals She Tested Positive for COVID-19!
Former Real Housewives of Atlanta star Shereé Whitfield revealed on social media Tuesday that she is the latest Bravo celeb to test positive for the coronavirus. Whitfield shared a video on Instagram, thanking followers for reaching out after she'd been "MIA" for a few days.

"I tested positive for COVID-19, so I've kind of just really been at home self-quarantining for the past week and a half," she shared. "I just want you guys to know that it is no joke. I'm feeling much better today, thank you to everybody who knew they had not heard from me and reached out... I just have been out of it."
The reality star and designer also offered to share her symptoms and experience with the coronavirus with any followers who were interested in hearing more.

After sharing her diagnosis, Whitfield received support from the Bravo universe, with Real Housewives of Potomac star Gizelle Bryant commenting on her post, "Glad you're feeling better!"
Along with the former RHOA star, several other members of the Real Housewives franchise have tested positive for COVID-19 or antibodies to the virus, including New Jersey star Jennifer Aydin, New York's Ramona Singer and Bravo head honcho Andy Cohen.

Cohen has since recovered and returned to his various hosting duties from home, where he's quarantining with son Benjamin, 1. He's even been hosting Housewives reunions via Zoom and recently addressed some pesky casting rumors on his SiriusXM Radio Andy show.
"There is a whole narrative, apparently, that I am pursuing Lori Loughlin for The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. And the first I heard about that was Twitter," Cohen said in June. "Lori Loughlin is a very nice person. She's going to have quite a story to tell. And she's always been lovely... But it's not true."

What????!!!! God has His way of doing things, and through you, He’s shown me that if I trust Him, all will be well; and OH MY GOD— ALL IS WELL! Dr. Seuss once said, ‘You know you’re in love when you can’t fall asleep because reality is finally better than your dreams.’…man, I get it now. Every day I look forward to you! I love you.”

Now, the happy couple has completed the first stop on their road to the altar—engagement photos!

Louis Vuitton Switching To Seasonless Roving Model For Menswear Fashion!
Louis Vuitton is switching to a seasonless, roving model for its menswear fashion shows that will be on display in China in August.
The French fashion house will begin with new physical runway displays in Shanghai, China on August 6 and in Tokyo, Japan, at a later date and designer Virgil Abloh says he is excited about exploring the wider world with his collections.
He told WWD: “All the regions of the globe trigger different ideas when you place the epicenter there, and that to me is going deeper in the brain on inclusivity.

“It’s 2020. Let’s explore, debuting an idea in this hemisphere and next season we might say, ‘Hey, let’s go the complete opposite.’ Because we’re outside of this idea that Paris has to emanate, and then everyone has to come to Paris and then go back around the world.”
Michael Burke, chairman and chief executive officer of Louis Vuitton, explained that the COVID-19 pandemic has changed how the company will work in the future.

He explained: “We know people are not going to be able to travel, so let’s not have people travel to the venues — let’s have the clothes travel to the venues.
“Until now, we were laboring under the same laws of the 19th century when Worth started the couture collections. You know, it had to start in Paris, and then it trickled down. Today, that is totally antiquated. With the Internet, everybody can see it simultaneously, so why does it have to be only in one city?

“It’s a lot more modern way of working because the Chinese team is going to find the venue, they’re going to co-design the event with Virgil, they’re going to produce it, the models are going to be all Chinese.”

Princess Love Requests Divorce Dismissal From Ray J!
Princess Love has filed for a dismissal of her divorce from Ray J, two months after requesting a legal end to their marriage.
The “Love & Hip Hop” star sought to legally end her marriage to the “One Wish” hitmaker in May, but on 6 July, she launched new documents in Los Angeles Superior Court to retract the petition, People magazine reports.

A spokesperson has yet to comment on the news.
Just a few weeks after Princess, 35, filed for divorce, 39-year-old Ray sparked confusion during a virtual press conference when he said he was “back with the kids” and praised the reality star as “supermom.”
He said: “Over these past few months, though, I’ve been at the studio locked in. I was at the studio right around when everything got locked down. Before I came home, I had to quarantine for 14 days. My wife has been supermom, and she wasn’t having that so she just wanted to make sure that I was good.

“We’re taking it one day at a time.”
The couple’s daughter Melody turned 2 years old towards the end of May and Ray hailed it a “blessing” that they were all together for the special day and admitted he and Princess had been communicating better.
He continued: “For us to all spend time together, talk and just be parents, I think a lot of things unfold from that. That’s a good start for us, just spending time with the kids and making sure that Melody has a great b-day. Through all of that, we can listen and understand each other. Right now we’re just locked in with the parenting. God is good.”

Princess first declared her intention to divorce Ray — who she married in 2016 — last November after claiming the “Sexy Can I” singer had left her and Melody “stranded” in Las Vegas, a claim he repeatedly denied.

Tom Bergeron Fired as 'Dancing With the Stars' Host After 15 Years!
Tom Bergeron, the longtime host of ABC's Dancing With The Stars, has been pushed out of the beloved reality competition series. Bergeron, whose witty dad jokes were a trademark of the show, revealed producers told him he would no longer be hosting. Bergeron has had several co-hosts throughout the show's run, most recently sportscaster Erin Andrews, who is also leaving.

"Just informed [Dancing With The Stars] will be continuing without me," Bergeron surprisingly tweeted Monday evening. "It's been an incredible 15-year run and the most unexpected gift of my career. I'm grateful for that and for the lifelong friendships made. That said, now what am I supposed to do with all of these glitter masks?" Comedian Randy Rainbow said he would "be right over," prompting Bergeron to joke, "On the plus side, Now I'm free for our socially distanced lunch!" Another fan asked if Bergeron was leaving because he was becoming a contestant. "Um... no," he quickly replied.

"Tom Bergeron will forever be part of the Dancing with the Stars family," ABC said in a statement to TVLine. "As we embark on a new creative direction, he departs the show with our sincerest thanks and gratitude for his trademark wit and charm that helped make this show a success. Erin will also not be returning, and we appreciate all that she brought to the ballroom. Fans have been rooting for her since she originally competed as a contestant back in 2010, and her signature sense of humor has become a hallmark of the show."
Bergeron has been hosting the U.S. version of DWTS since it launched in 2005 and has hosted all 28 seasons. The Massachusetts native has hosted several game shows during his career, including Hollywood Squares and The $100,000 Pyramid. He also hosted America's Funniest Home Videos for ABC from 2001 to 2015.

Despite the coronavirus pandemic, Dancing With The Stars is still scheduled to come back for the 2020-2021 television season. After several years of airing two DWTS cycles during a single television season, the network switched to one cycle-per-season. The most recent season aired between September and November 2019, ending with The Bachelorette star Hannah Brown winning.
Once the show was renewed, Bergeron joked about how it could be filmed during the pandemic. "I wonder if the spray tan equipment can be refit as body sanitizers?" he asked on Instagram. ABC has not said how the new season will be made or announced any celebrity contestants.

Bergeron's time on DWTS has been mostly drama-free, although he publicly disagreed with his employer over picking Sean Spicer to compete in Season 28. On Aug. 21, 2019, after ABC confirmed the former White House press secretary would be on the show, Bergeron issued a lengthy statement, explaining his disappointment. He was not particularly happy to see a family-friendly show ensnared in political controversy.

"For me, as host, I always gaze into the camera's lens and imagine you on the other side, looking for a two-hour escape from whatever life hassles you've been wrestling with. That's a connection, and a responsibility, which I take very seriously, even I occasionally season it with dad jokes," Bergeron wrote at the time. "Hopefully, when [co-host] Erin Andrews and I look into those lenses again on September 16, you'll be on the other side looking back, able to enjoy the charismatic pro dancers, the unpredictable judges and the kitschy charm that has denied DWTS since 2005.

Ruth Bader Ginsburg Hospitalized for Possible Infection!
Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg was taken to the hospital on Tuesday, where she's being treated for a possible infection. Spokeswoman Kathleen Arberg issued a statement on the matter, as CNN noted.
"Justice Ginsburg was admitted to The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland early this morning for treatment of a possible infection," the statement read. "She was initially evaluated at Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington, D.C., last night after experiencing fever and chills. She underwent an endoscopic procedure at Johns Hopkins this afternoon to clean out a bile duct stent that was placed last August. The Justice is resting comfortably and will stay in the hospital for a few days to receive intravenous antibiotic treatment."

Ginsburg had previously been hospitalized back in May for acute cholecystitis, also at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. Acute cholecystitis is a benign gallbladder condition, as the official statement explained, which also announced Ginsburg planned to participate in oral arguments that had been scheduled. At 87, Ginsburg has encountered numerous health issues in recent years, including recurring bouts with cancer. In August of 2019, she was treated for a tumor on her pancreas and in December 2018, had two cancerous nodules removed from her lungs. In January 2020, Ginsburg happily announced she was "cancer-free."

The Supreme Court has been issuing several historic rulings of late, including naming roughly half of Oklahoma Indigenous land, ruling that employers are exempt from providing birth control due to religious or moral opposition as well as the whopper that President Donald Trump's tax returns and other financial records had to be turned over to a grand jury.

The investigation that led to the case in front of the nation's highest court is related to allegations that Trump may have given hush-money payments to women that have claimed to have had affairs with. The records are held by Mazars USA, the president's longtime accounting firm, which has insisted it will comply with any court orders. However, several weeks could likely pass before a formal judgment is issued, which would only then require the official turnover of the tax records. The president also stated his dissatisfaction with the ruling.

Ghislaine Maxwell Tried “To Flee” FBI Agents And Had A Cell Phone Wrapped In Tin Foil To Evade!
Prosecutors are telling a judge to keep Ghislaine Maxwell behind bars after claiming the socialite wrapped a cell phone in tin foil to evade detection by authorities.
Ghislaine Maxwell, 58, was arrested on July 2 in her New Hampshire home and was subsequently charged with acting as an accomplice to her ex-boyfriend #JeffreyEpstein in a sex ring involving minors. The sex trafficking activity between Maxwell and Epstein has been traced back to the 1990s; he was arrested for the last time before his death on sex trafficking charges and was jailed at Metropolitan Correctional Center. He was charged on July 8 and died mysteriously on July 23 in his cell.

Since then, authorities say Maxwell has been trying to keep a low-profile by moving from one home to another and paying for them in cash. Authorities even say the former socialite attempted to escape officers by fleeing to another room in her home after she looked out the window and saw FBI agents coming to arrest her. Prosecutors detailed the events of the arrest in a legal filing that was submitted in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District in Manhattan on Monday. Maxwell will also be arraigned there on Tuesday on six felony counts, including conspiracy to entice minors to travel to engage in illegal sex acts and perjury.

In the filing, prosecutors say that Maxwell’s home was barred by a locked gate and had a private security guard on the property. Officials say that’s when they instructed Maxwell to open the door, but she ignored them. “Through a window, the agents saw the defendant ignore the direction to open the door and, instead, try to flee to another room in the house, quickly shutting a door behind her,” according to the filing. “Agents were ultimately forced to breach the door in order to enter the house to arrest the defendant, who was found in an interior room in the house.”

Inside the home, prosecutors said they “noticed a cell phone wrapped in tin foil on top of a desk, a seemingly misguided effort to evade detection, not by the press or public, which of course would have no ability to trace her phone or intercept her communications, but by law enforcement.” Maxwell’s lawyers are asking that their client be freed on a $5 million bond with conditions while the case is pending. However, prosecutors are urging a judge to decline her request, citing the number of strange actions Maxwell has taken.

White Couple Arrested For Attacking Black Hotel Worker In Shocking Video!
A white couple has been arrested after a video showed them attacking a Black woman who worked at a Connecticut hotel.
The attack was caught on video that’s since gone viral, showing Crystal Caldwell, 59, being beaten by the couple.
Caldwell was working at the front desk on June 26 at the Quality Inn in Mystic, Connecticut, when guest Phillip Sarner, 39, called and told her the hot water wasn’t working. According to The Day newspaper, she told him it could be fixed or to find a new room, but the man became angry and started cursing at her. At one point, he said he’d send his girlfriend to “kick her a**.”

Sarner then came to the front desk and attacked Caldwell, punching her repeatedly, calling her an “old monkey” and leaving her with a concussion and bruises.
The police were called to the scene, but as they waited, Sarner’s girlfriend Emily Orbay, 29, attacked Caldwell again. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Surveillance video showed Orbay push her against a wall and kick her repeatedly, leaving her with rib injuries.
Caldwell said Orbay said to her, “Black Lives Matter? Your life doesn’t matter; you don’t deserve to live on this earth.”
Caldwell was taken to a hospital and treated for multiple injuries.
The couple was arrested Monday in New York and charged with second-degree assault, third-degree assault, and intimidation based on bigotry and bias.

“I am almost 60 years old, for him to want to physically fight me is very, very, very, very hard for me,” she said, according to the New York Daily News. “I should not have to be begging for my life, that was devastating because there’s people that are dying, that are dead.

“This goes beyond police; these are just regular people, American citizens with hate. That man had so much hate for me in his heart.”
