Kourtney Kardashian for Vogue Arabia Says she’s Officially Leaves ’Keeping Up With The Kardashians;’ Calls It A Toxic Environment!
Kourtney Kardashian has officially left the show that made her famous. In an interview with Vogue Arabia, the oldest of the Kardashian clan opened up about why she’s stepping back from Keeping Up With The Kardashians after nearly 15 years.
“I have been filming the show non-stop for 14 years. I was feeling unfulfilled, and it became a toxic environment for me to continue to have it occupy as much of my life as it was,” Kourtney said. “Privacy is something I have come to value, and finding that balance of private moments with being on a reality show is hard. People have this misconception that I don’t want to work, which isn’t true. I am following my happiness and putting my energy into that which makes me happy.”
“I always try my absolute best when I’m with my kids not to be on my phone, to be present in what we’re doing, and have those moments where you’re looking in each other’s eyes and connecting. It’s so important,” she said. “I usually take one day on the weekend when we have no plans, we hang out at the house in pajamas or sweats. We sleep in. I like to not be on a schedule on that day.”
Kourtney revealed that she would be limiting her part on the show earlier this year during a confessional.
“I have decided to take a big step back from filming and really just pick and choose what I will allow cameras to follow,” Kourtney said at the time. “I think just now when I have something that I find is interesting to film, or that I would feel excited to film, that I do that.”

Kourtney, who is also the founder of wellness brand Poosh, appeared on the cover of Vogue Arabia with a hand-written note that reads: “The power of reclaiming yourself. Kourtney Kardashian sets free.”

#RHOA: #TWIRL Kenya Moore Releases Commercial For Kenya Moore Haircare!
Real Housewives of Atlanta fans will remember one of Kenya Moore’s most talked-about scenes his season. She has turned the moment into a full-blown commercial for her haircare line.
July 7th was a day that Black people and their allies show an act of solidarity by buying from black-owned brands only. Many of the RHOA ladies took the time to advertise their business and shout out their castmates’ ventures to their followers.
However, the most clever advertisement came from Kenya when she debuted her Kenya Moore Haircare commercial.
Moore, along with some other beautiful women, appeared in the commercial that referenced the moment where she crashed her co-star Marlo Hampton’s event with a marching band.

The ad not only featured Kenya flaunting her luxurious locks but also the chant that she used on the show with the sound of drums beating in the background. She told followers the benefits of her products and let them know that they could find her line at Sally Beauty Supply.
While some might find it petty — most admit that it was genius marketing.
The post was accompanied by a caption that read: ‘100% Black owned hair care line from FOUNDER and CEO @thekenyamoore I turned my passion for hair care into a multi-million dollar business in just a few years. Focusing on healthy hair and loving the hair you were born with. Now available in over 2200 @sallybeauty stores. Order online or buy in stores today!’

There was praise in her comment section raving about her products. Many people also took the time to type out her unforgettable chant and add drum emojis to their comments.
In May of this year, the reality star made her adorable daughter the spokesperson for her company.

Kenya has explained that the haircare line will be her child’s long-lasting legacy.

Kid Cudi has enlisted Eminem for his new single “The Adventures of Moon Man and Slim Shady,” which drops Friday. Cudi’s daughter Vada shared the big news with her father’s 2.3 million Twitter followers on Wednesday.
“I’m here to say that my daddy’s new single ‘The Adventures of Moon Man and Slim Shady’ is coming out on Friday.

Cudi previously tried to reach out to the “Rap God” via social media in May. “@Eminem rap God. Help!” he tweeted.
Em said he was unaware that Cudi was trying to contact him when he spoke to Lil Wayne on Young Money Radio, but it appears that they finally connected.
Cudi previously dropped his hit “The Scotts” with Travis Scott, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Prior to that, he released “Leader of the Delinquents,” his first solo release since 2016’s Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin’.

He is now readying his seventh studio album, Entergalactic, inspired by his upcoming adult animated music series for Netflix. He is teaming up with “Black-ish” creator Kenya Barris on the show.
He and Kanye West are also working on an animated series based off their Kids See Ghosts album. Last month, they shared a trailer for the Takashi Murakami-directed show.

Additionally, Cudi is set to appear in HBO’s coming-of-age series “We Are Who We Are,” which debuts in September.

Prayers Up For Naya Rivera as She Is Missing After Her Son Was Found Alone on a Boat!
Naya Rivera went missing at Lake Piru, Southern California, on Wednesday evening, CNN reports.
Authorities were alerted after Rivera's 4-year-old son, Josey, was found alone in a boat on the lake.
A spokesperson for the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office said there was "no evidence of foul play at this point" at a press conference, adding, "this may well be a case of drowning."
Glee star Naya Rivera is missing after her 4-year-old son Josey was found sleeping alone in a boat on Lake Piru, Southern California, on Wednesday evening, CNN reports. In a press conference, Ventura County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Eric Buschow said there was "no evidence of foul play at this point," as the Guardian reports, adding, "this may well be a case of drowning."

Rivera rented a boat with her son on Wednesday afternoon, according to CNN, and they went out onto the lake together. About three hours later, Josey was found asleep on the drifting boat by another boater, who alerted authorities. Rivera's son reportedly told investigators that he and his mother went swimming together, but Rivera did not get back on the boat. Josey was wearing a life vest, while an adult life vest was found on the boat alongside Rivera's ID.

Search efforts were suspended on Wednesday night, and will be resumed "at first light" on Thursday morning, the Ventura County Sheriff's Office said.

Several of Rivera's Glee co-stars have responded to her disappearance on social media. Heather Morris, who played Brittany Pierce alongside Rivera's Santana Lopez, wrote on her Instagram story, "We need all the prayers we can to bring Naya back home to us. We need your love and light." Harry Shum Jr., who played Mike Chang, tweeted, "praying," while Demi Lovato, who guest-starred as Dani, wrote on her Instagram story, "Please pray for @nayarivera to be found safe and sound." Iqbal Theba, who played Principal Figgins, tweeted, "Oh God... mercy... please..." alongside an article about Rivera's disappearance.

Will Smith Talks Experiencing Police Brutality; Recalls Being Called The N-Word More Than 10 Times!
Will Smith says he’s been called the “N-word” more than 10 times by Philly cops and explains why he chose not to make a slave movie until now.
In an interview with political commentator #AngelaRye, Smith spoke on a variety of issues, including race, the #BlackLivesMatters movement, the experience of a Black male actor, and more. First, Smith spoke on how he feels about the coronavirus pandemic and the world’s response to #GeorgeFloyd’s murder.
“We are in a circumstance that we have never been before,” said Smith. “The entire globe has stood up and said to the African American people, ‘We see you and we hear you. How can we help?’ We’ve never been there before.” Rye also asked Smith to speak on the misconceptions of Black celebs and their experiences with police brutality and racism.

“I grew up under Mayor Rizzo. He went from the chief of police to becoming the mayor, and he had an iron hand,” Smith said of the former Philadelphia mayor. “I’ve been called nigger by the cops in Philly on more than 10 occasions. I got stopped frequently. So, I understand what it’s like to be in those circumstances with the police to feel like you’ve been occupied, it’s an occupying force. But I went to school in the suburbs, I went to Catholic school. So I understand what the disparities are in a really interesting way. White kids were happy when the cops showed up, and my heart always started pounding. There’s a part of this that people who don’t grow up in that you just can’t comprehend. You just can’t comprehend what it feels like you live in an occupied territory.”

He even spoke on the experience of being a Black father with two Black sons. “I got two Black sons running around so when I saw this cop with his hands in his pockets, I’m like ‘What is going on inside of a person’s mind to just be able to do that to another person?’ You know for me it comes down to after you get beyond the rage. Rage is justified under oppression. IT can also be really dangerous. You have to be careful not to be consumed by your own rage. And that’s something that I’ve worked really hard on,” said Smith. ”I was really encouraged by how powerfully this generation was able to hold that mirror, and then the response of the world seeing and responding.”

Will Smith has never portrayed a slave in a film or acted in a slave narrative film. His first will be the upcoming movie, “Emancipation.” “For my career, my whole approach to building an image and to building something that young Black kids and kids around the world could aspire to, one of the major aspects of that is…I was strictly only creating images that were of the highest intelligence, the highest power. I need to be as high and fly as high as I could possibly fly so Black kids could see that kind of fly. And really all kids could see that type of flying as something that not only white movie stars could do,” Smith explained.

For me and for what my role is in ”the community; the reason I chose “Emancipation” is more than ever…we have to understand the reality of where we came from. The problem is that theirs an absence of knowledge about the history,” Smith said. ”It’s really difficult to elevate without the knowledge and wisdom being presented in a way that the youth among us in their most powerful form are also educated.”

George Floyd – Body Camera Transcripts Of His Arrest & Murder Released, Told Officers He Could Not Breathe 20 Times!
The controversial murder of George Floyd has reignited the movement for black lives across the country and around the world.  George Floyd was murdered at the hands of four Minneapolis police officers on May 25.
In the now viral video, Mr. Floyd was restrained and lost consciousness when officer Derek Chauvin placed his knee on George Floyd’s neck for 8 minutes and 46 seconds. Now, newly released body camera transcripts have come out that documented the chilling murder, where Mr. Floyd is heard pleading for his life.

In the transcripts you can hear Mr. Floyd saying,
“Come on, man. Oh, oh. I cannot breathe. I cannot breathe, They’ll kill me. They’ll kill me. I can’t breathe. I can’t breathe.”
Mr. Floyd repeatedly told officers that he could not breathe 20 times. The transcripts were taken from the body cameras of two of the officers charged in the murder, Thomas Laine and J. Alexander Keung. The two officers are currently trying to get the murder case against them thrown out by a judge. The filing states that Lane,

“did not intentionally aid, advise, hire, counsel, or conspire with [Derek] Chauvin or otherwise procure Chauvin to commit second-degree murder.”
Mr. Floyd told Thomas Lane who approached him with his gun drawn,
“I’m sorry, I’m so sorry. God dang man. Man, I got shot. I got shot the same way, Mr. Officer, before.”
Footage from Kueng’s body cam revealed that the former cop escorted Mr. Floyd to a car across the street to sit him down. Mr. Floyd thanked him, offered his identification and information.

The encounter escalated when Kueng told Mr. Floyd, 46, he was being detained on suspicion of passing a fake bill. A struggle ensued with Kueng and Lane attempting to get Mr. Floyd into the back of the police car.
“Man, you going to die of a heart attack. Just get in the car.”
This is the moment when Derek Chauvin placed his knee on Mr. Floyd’s neck for 8 minutes and 46 seconds and pleaded with the officers that he could not breathe. Mr. Floyd is then heard saying,
“Momma, I love you. Tell my kids I love them. I’m dead.”
At this point, Lane asked Chauvin if Mr. Floyd should be turned on his side and was worried that Mr. Floyd was having a medical emergency. Derek Chauvin responded,

“No, he’s staying put where we got him. Well that’s why we got the ambulance coming.”
Lane then responds,
“OK, I suppose, I think he’s passing out.”
An angry bystander told the police detaining Mr. Floyd that it seemed as though he had become unresponsive.

“He’s not even breathing right now, bro, you think that’s cool? You think that’s cool, right?”
The death of Mr. Floyd led to the firing and arrest of Derek Chauvin and the three other officers involved in the incident. Chauvin was charged with second-degree murder, while the others were indicted on aiding and abetting Mr. Floyd’s death.

K. Michelle's Stylist Claims She's Abusing Him, Making Homophobic Comments!
K. Michelle apparently doesn't treat her employees well. Hollywood Larry, who claims to have been working as her stylist for a music video, is now accusing the singer of abusing him and not paying him while working together.
It all started after someone commented K. Michelle's music video with City Girls and Kash Doll, "Supahood", on Twitter. Reading the post, Larry apparently couldn't help but feel the need to speak up as he retweeted the post and added, "I styled Kimberly for this video. She publicly humiliated me, threw a flower vase at me and still has unpaid invoices…"
His post soon gained traction with a lot of people saying how sorry they were to Larry. In response to one of them, the stylist said, "Mind you I'd barely recovered from a near death car accident. Literally no teeth, forced to wear a mask (pre-Covid) and on a cane with a limp. She dgaf. Babygirl hail married that mf, unbothered!"

Not stopping there, Larry also said that Michelle made some homophobic comments while working with him, though he never gave further detail about what kind of comments that Michelle made. However, in another post, he said, "Bottomline... She wanted me to build her a silicone/gel butt and hips. That is not a service I provide being a WARDROBE STYLIST!"

Someone who claimed to be working on the music video later came out to attest to Larry's statement. The user said, "I produced this video and I can attest to a lot of drama. k michelle cussed out, threatened, + attempted to attack the director because she didn't like how she looked and there was over 7k in overages and damages to the location .."
Michelle has yet to publicly respond to the accusation.

Christian Cooper Not Cooperating With Investigation Into Central Park ‘Karen’ Amy Cooper!
The man at the center of the Central Park “Karen” fiasco has said he will not cooperate with the Manhattan district attorney’s investigation, according to a new report.

Christian Cooper told the New York Times on Tuesday that Amy Cooper, 41, has suffered enough since the May encounter that destroyed her career and reputation.
Amy Cooper was charged on Monday with falsely reporting an incident in the third degree.
“On the one hand, she’s already paid a steep price,” Christian, 57, told the paper, referring to the criminal charge. “That’s not enough of a deterrent to others?”
The avid birdwatcher added, “Bringing her more misery just seems like piling on.”

“So if the DA feels the need to pursue charges, he should pursue charges. But he can do that without me,” he said, adding that greater principles are at stake.
In a now-viral May video that sparked national outrage, Amy, a white woman, tells the birdwatcher she is going to call the cops and “tell them there’s an African American man threatening my life.”
“Please tell them whatever you like,” Christian, who is no relation, responds.
She is seen taking out her cellphone and telling police, “I’m in the Ramble and an African American man with a bicycle helmet, he is recording me and threatening my dog.”

She continues, “There is an African American man. I am in Central Park. He is recording me and threatening myself and my dog.”
The woman starts to shake and says, “I’m sorry, I can’t hear … I’m being threatened by a man in the Ramble, please send the cops immediately.”
Amy Cooper — who later apologized for the incident — was fired from her job at the investment firm Franklin Templeton.

She is set to be be arraigned in October, and could face up to a year in prison for her 911 call.

Tyler Perry To Cover Funeral Cost Of 8-Year-Old Secoriea Turner!
Tyler Perry pledged to cover the funeral cost of 8-year-old, Secoriea Turner, who lost her life on July 4th in Atlanta.
CNN reports that Turner and her mother were riding in their family car when they pulled up in a parking lot and “a group of individuals illegally placed barricades.” Shots were fired into the car then her mother drove to the hospital where Secoriea was pronounced dead.

“I’m outraged today because I’d rather be paying for 8-year-old Secoriea Turner’s college than her funeral,” the entertainment mogul told People in an exclusive statement, adding “when does this end?”
“Who said that outrage has to choose a side?” he said. “When so many Black people like George Floyd and Rayshard Brooks were killed, I was outraged and did what I could to help their families.” Perry also covered the cost of Rayshard Brooks’ funeral and all four of his children’s college tuitions.

Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms spoke about the death of Turner and three others in separate shootings over the holiday weekend. “Enough is enough. We have talked about this movement that is happening across America at this moment in time when we have the ears and the interest of people across this country and across this globe who are saying they want to see change.”
“When a white police officer was shot in the head trying to stop a shoplifter in a suburb outside of Atlanta, I was outraged and I did what I could to help him and his family,” Perry continued.

“…When we are killing each other, including our innocent children, I am outraged,” Tyler Perry concluded to shut down all black-on-black crime arguments. “It doesn’t matter what color wrong comes in, wrong is wrong.”

Former Fox News Anchor Shepard Smith Will Join CNBC Evening Lineup!
After giving Fox News Channel the business with an abrupt departure last year, anchor Shepard Smith is likely to find himself more engaged with news about the subject.
He’s joining finance-focused news outlet CNBC to host a new evening-news program, marking one of the first major outside hires by the NBCUniversal-owned cable network in years. Smith will start anchoring “The News With Shepard Smith” in the fall. The program will air Monday through Friday at 7 p.m., and bears a title similar to the MSNBC and CNBC show that Brian Williams led between 1996 and 2004 – before he succeeded Tom Brokaw at “NBC Nightly News.”
The move lends a big name to CNBC’s primetime lineup, which has been filled in recent years with reality competitions and documentary series, including a show about cars led by Jay Leno and repeats of the popular program “Shark Tank.” It will also add ballast to recent speculation that NBCUniversal sees a chance to court members of Fox News’ large audience with anchors and programming that might appeal to them, and could use CNBC to do so.

“Information is coming at us from every direction. If we’re not careful, life-altering decisions will be made based on half-truth, rumor, misdirection or worse,” said Mark Hoffman, Chairman of CNBC, in a prepared statement. “We aim to deliver a nightly program that, in some small way, looks for the signal in all the noise. We’re thrilled that Shep, who’s built a career on an honest fight to find and report the facts, will continue his pursuit of the truth at CNBC.”
Smith billed the new show as a “fact-based, hour-long evening news program with the mission to cut through the static to deliver facts, in context and with perspective.” He is expected to rely in part on CNBC anchors and producers. Smith will serve as CNBC’s Chief General News Anchor and Chief Breaking General News Anchor, as well as the executive editor of his program. He held similar titles at Fox News Channel, where part of his role was to anchor top breaking news stories no matter when they erupted.

The new program will make CNBC more of a news destination in the early evening. The network has in the past several years largely wound down business coverage a few hours after the stock markets closed and relied on primetime series. Bringing Smith to the lineup will put CNBC more directly in competition not only with rival Fox Business Network, which airs Lou Dobbs program at 7 p.m., but with general-news rivals like CNN’s Erin Burnett and Fox News Channel’s Martha MacCallum. MSNBC has been mulling a new anchor for its 7 p.m. hour, with Joy Reid recently being named by The Wall Street Journal as one possibility.

The announcement gives Smith a new perch after he surprised many by leaving Fox News Channel in the middle of a contract he had signed in 2018. After more than two decades at the Fox Corp.-backed cable-news outlet, he had begun to debate the network’s primetime opinion hosts, and wound up being disparaged at times by Tucker Carlson and Sean Hannity. Smith had been one of the network’s earliest hires. “It’s been an honor and a privilege to report the news each day to our loyal audience in context and with perspective, without fear or favor,” Smith told viewers in his last on-air appearance on Fox News.

Smith will be holding forth for a significantly smaller audience. His Fox News show – one of the lower-rated at the network, owing to its mid-afternoon perch, reached an average audience that was usually well in excess of a million viewers. CNBC’s 7 p.m. hour typically lures around 250,000, according to figures from Nielsen.
Before joining Fox News Channel, Smith was a corresponden for Fox News Edge, an affiliate news service, based in Los Angeles. He began his broadcast career at local stations in Florida.

Whether CNBC has new plans for other parts of its nighttime lineup remain to be seen. But Hoffman, the network’s chairman, described Smith’s new show as “the perfect bridge between CNBC’s daytime investor-focused news programming and the network’s aspirational business-oriented entertainment programs in primetime.”

‘Batwoman’ Casts Javicia Leslie as New Series Lead!
“Batwoman” has found its new series lead, with Javicia Leslie set to step into the cape and cowl for the show’s upcoming second season on The CW.
“I am extremely proud to be the first Black actress to play the iconic role of Batwoman on television, and as a bisexual woman, I am honored to join this groundbreaking show which has been such a trailblazer for the LGBTQ+ community,” Leslie said.
Leslie will portray a new character on the show named Ryan Wilder. She is described as likable, messy, a little goofy and untamed. She’s also nothing like Kate Kane (previously played by Ruby Rose), the woman who wore the Batsuit before her. With no one in her life to keep her on track, Ryan spent years as a drug-runner, dodging the GCPD and masking her pain with bad habits. Today Ryan lives in her van with her plant. A girl who would steal milk for an alley cat and could also kill you with her bare hands, Ryan is the most dangerous type of fighter: highly skilled and wildly undisciplined. She is an out lesbian, athletic, raw, passionate, fallible, and very much not your stereotypical All-American hero.

Leslie takes over leading the series from Rose, who shocked fans when she announced her departure from the series in May.
Prior to joining “Batwoman,” Leslie starred on the CBS series “God Friended Me,” which aired for two seasons. That show was also produced by Warner Bros. Television and Berlanti Productions. She also starred in the BET series “The Family Business” and the film “Always a Bridesmaid.”

She is repped by Stewart Talent and Thirdhill Entertainment.
“Batwoman” is produced by Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television. Caroline Dries developed the series and served as executive producer for season one with Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter and Geoff Johns. “Batwoman” is based on characters created for DC by Bob Kane with Bill Finger.

The show is scheduled to return in January on Sunday nights on The CW.

Gabrielle Union Urges NBC To 'Do More' To Address Workplace Harassment!
Gabrielle Union has insisted NBC need to do more to address workplace harassment.
The 47-year-old actress - who previously filed a complaint about "toxic" behaviour on the set of 'America's Got Talent', which she quit after just one season because of the alleged racial bias and discrimination she faced - praised the network for their new plans to tackle the issue but doesn't think the ideas go far enough.
She tweeted: "Great start by NBC to recognize the need to not turn away & ignore racial & gender discrimination on programs like #AGT

"More changes are needed however. Like stopping executives from intimidating talent from sharing their experience of racism in their own workplace investigations.(sic)"
Gabrielle's comments came in the wake of an article in The Hollywood Reporter, which claimed NBCUniversal TV and streaming chairman Mark Lazarus had sent a memo to staff, in which he detailed the company's move to expand protections for employees against toxic workplace environments on shows produced by both the network and third-party companies.

Gabrielle filed a discrimination complaint against NBC, Simon Cowell, FremantleMedia and Syco Entertainment in California's Department of Fair Employment and Housing last June.
However, it has since been closed as the Being Mary Jane' star requested an immediate right to sue, which she was granted.
Her official complaint came after NBC previously conducted an independent investigation into Gabrielle's allegations, but she was unhappy with how it was handled.

She previously said: "They were like, 'We're going to commission this independent investigation.' Well, silly me. I thought independent was independent, but when NBC and Fremantle and Syco pay for that investigation, they control it.
"They turn over what they believe to be inflammatory things, or things that are not advantageous to me, over to the head of NBC, Paul Telegdy, who uses those things that he thinks are smoking guns to shoot down my claims.
"He then threatens my agent [by saying,] 'Gabrielle better watch who she calls a racist' in the middle of an investigation about racism and discrimination. This is what's happening from the top of the company."
NBC previously insisted it was "categorically untrue" that any threats had been made towards the star.

They said in a statement: "We took Ms. Union's concerns seriously, and engaged an outside investigator who found an overarching culture of diversity on the show. NBCUniversal remains committed to creating an inclusive and supportive working environment where people of all backgrounds are treated with respect."

Lena Horne's Granddaughter Developing Limited Series Based On Her Life At Showtime!
Lena Horne will be the focus of a new limited series at Showtime.
Jenny Lumet, who is the iconic jazz singer, actress and activist’s granddaughter, is developing the series with her producing partner, Alex Kurtzman, Deadline reports.

The series is titled, Blackbird: Lena Horne and America, in homage of Lena‘s favorite poem, “Thirteen Ways of Looking at a Blackbird.”
According to a release, the show will “span 60 years of her life, from dancing at the Cotton Club when she was 16, through World War II and stardom of the MGM years, McCarthyism, the civil rights movement and her triumphant return to Broadway. The series will encompass her deepest relationships: Paul Robeson, Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Joe Louis, Billie Holiday, Hattie McDaniel, Ava Gardner and Orson Welles, to name a few. A direct descendant of slaves and their enslavers, Horne had to navigate stardom during Jim Crow. She laid herself down and made herself a bridge for everyone who came after her, and finally achieved her own liberation to become one of America’s greatest legends.”

Jenny shared about the show, “Bringing my grandmother’s story to the screen required a multi-generational effort. Grandma passed her stories to my mother, who now passes them to me, so I may pass them to the children of our family.”
She adds, “Lena’s story is so intimate and at the same time, it’s the story of America – America at its most honest, most musical, most tragic and most joyous. It’s crucial now. Especially now. She was the love of my life.”

Also announced today, this classic television show is getting a modern makeover on network television.
