Vin Diesel Looking HOT for Flaunt Magazine- Issue #168!
Vin Diesel might be the dudeliest dude in contemporary cinema. And if there by some chance is a dudelier dude, I guarantee, said archetype of man has appeared in at least one of the franchises Diesel stars in. Hell, the two of them have probably punched each other in the face on film.

I'm not telling you anything you don't know. When you read up on Vin Diesel, descriptions of his craft as an actor are buried under lavish descriptions of the most salient features of his dude-bro man body: Gleaming muscles! Tough-guy shaved head! Voice so deep it ripples, like the tectonic rumbling of a world-destroying asteroid. He is so often defined as Vin Diesel: paragon of masculinity. Which presents a strange seeming contradiction: Vin Diesel's persona is so hyper-masculinized that the media's treatment of him goes almost the full 180, nearly landing him the very same treatment that many actresses endure—so preoccupied with the work of the body that they grow incurious about the life of the mind.
I'm not the first person to notice this. Iconic director Sidney Lumet (12 Angry Men, Dog Day Afternoon, Serpico) made the same point to Diesel when they worked together on 2006's Find Me Guilty. In a 2017 New York Times interview, Diesel recalls Lumet telling him: “You will suffer what beautiful women have suffered in this industry for 100 years. You will suffer for your action-hero physique.” On the one hand, I don't know about suffering. Diesel seems to be doing just fine, with two major releases slotted for the first half of 2020. He plays the title character in Bloodshot, Valiant Comics' first cinematic adaptation, out in March 13; in May, Fast & Furious 9, the tenth installment in the franchise. Diesel stars in and produced both.

But then again, the comparison is real. I find myself fighting the impulse to ask him every single dumbass question I've ever hated a reporter for asking an actress. What's your workout routine? Do you ever get to eat bagels? Do people underestimate you because of your body? Is it a burden, having worked so hard to create the kind of body that will allow you to thrive in the industry, that people will become fixated on your body they might forget about the person who lives inside it? Seriously, how much do you want a bagel right now, because I can order you one on GrubHub.
Vin Diesel's body is the unspoken, unavoidable context for our conversation, as it is context for so many of his films. Body as commodity, body as signifier, body as fetish object, body as fitspo, body as multi-billion dollar, multiple-franchise box office draw. And it would be all-too-easy to focus so hard on the trademark tectonic-plate rumble of Diesel's voice that you miss what he's actually using it to say, most of which falls well outside the narrowly-defined spectrum we've been taught to expect from tough guys and action stars. Over the course of our interview, Diesel shifts between talking like a tenured film professor, interrogating questions of craft and story sense, to espousing sweet mantras from the Fred Rogers school of life coaching. (Though, presumably, Diesel is cardigan-free on the other end of the call.)
"The best version of myself has always been just a pure message of love," he tells me. "I really, really, really, really, really, really believe that. At my core." And he as much as anyone seems aware of the complex relationship between physical and emotional strength; that the same physique that invites narrowed expectations simultaneously liberates him from those expectations. "Maybe because I was a bouncer in New York City, I don't have to front to be tough. And because of that, I have more freedom to be—loving? If that makes any sense?"

It makes every kind of sense.

But here's my question: What is it, exactly, that we are demanding from the body of Vin Diesel? What's so important about the voice, the body, the masculinity? With beautiful women, the answer is easy: sex. We commodify the body and sell it off, repackaged as a fantasy. But Vin Diesel's franchises—F&F, Chronicles of Riddick, xXx, almost inevitably Bloodshot—are largely targeted toward viewers who see Diesel and action stars like him not as sex objects, but as…what? A blueprint for masculinity? A how-to guide for existing in the world as a man? A driving instructor? (Please not a driving instructor.)

#HipHopNews: Pop Smoke Posthumously Earns 1st Solo Entry On Billboard Hot 100!
Pop Smoke’s “Dior” has debuted at No. 49 on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming his first solo track to earn a spot on the chart. The late rapper previously earned a Hot 100 entry with “GATTI,” a collaboration with Travis Scott from last year’s JACKBOYS compilation.
The Brooklyn-bred artist was shot and killed during a home invasion in Los Angeles on February 19. According to Nielsen Music/MRC Data, streams of the slain rapper’s music experienced a 392 percent increase following his death.

Pop Smoke racked up 24.7 million on-demand streams in the U.S. on the day of his passing. “Dior” alone pulled in 5.2 million streams.
“Dior” set a new career peak on the Hot 100 for Pop Smoke, who had reached No. 69 with “GATTI.” The single originally appeared on his debut mixtape Meet The Woo, which was released in 2019.
The song was also featured as a bonus cut on his follow-up Meet The Woo 2, which dropped just a few weeks before he was killed.

Pop Smoke was 20 years old. No suspects have been arrested as police continue to investigate his murder.

#DemDebateSC: Highlights: Candidates talk over one another as Sanders, Bloomberg targeted!
Seven Democrats took the stage for the 10th Democratic presidential debate, held in Charleston, S.C.: Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.); former vice president Joe Biden; former South Bend, Ind., mayor Pete Buttigieg; Sen. Elizabeth Warren (Mass.); Sen. Amy Klobuchar (Minn.); investor Tom Steyer; and former New York mayor Mike Bloomberg. They sparred over key policy areas including health-care costs, gun control and foreign affairs in a testy debate — and talked over each other a lot.

Several candidates attacked Sanders for the costs of his health-care proposals, and others squared off with Bloomberg over a range of policy matters, including his massive wealth. And the debate focused for some time on foreign policies involving Israel, China, North Korea and Syria.
The attacks kept coming, so much so that Biden repeatedly raised objections with what he said was strict restrictions on speaking time. But that didn’t stop others from fiercely arguing over their major areas of disagreement, often targeting the person with the current delegate lead: Warren took on Sanders’s progressive bona fides; Steyer and Klobuchar blamed Sanders for being too liberal to unite the party; and Biden squared off with Sanders over their votes in the Senate on gun policies.

Sanders again faced questions about his Medicare-for-all plan, with Buttigieg pivoting from an unrelated foreign-policy question to ask if eliminating private insurance is a radical idea. And the candidates, who were all white, faced questions centered on race, including federal housing policies that discriminated against minorities, reparations and the “stop-and-frisk” policy in New York under Bloomberg.

The debate came ahead of a key primary this weekend in South Carolina and a rapid acceleration in the race for the nomination next week, on Super Tuesday, when 14 states hold nominating contests.

JoJo Wants To 'Create A Legacy' After Sharing The Inside Story About Her Label Troubles!
JoJo is getting candid in her latest interview, where she opened up about her past label troubles, drug use, and her comeback.
In the backstage documentary with UPROXX, the 29-year-old singer told the true story behind her being signed by Blackground Records’ founder Barry Hankerson, who was Aaliyah‘s uncle.
“He started that label for her because she was so young that nobody would sign her,” JoJo remembered, “but hearing about how he had made Aaliyah into the icon that she was, we were obviously really interested in that.”

She continues, “My label got my mom a car, got us an apartment and I had my own room for the first time. They felt like family to us, and I think that’s what both my mom and I were really longing for deep down. Both of us come from very unstable family situations and they really appealed to that within us—that we were creating something that was going to last forever.”

However, that magical feeling didn’t last.
She says that the battle with her record label was “incredibly upsetting” and recalled a moment when she was asked to “look as healthy as possible.”

“I was like, ‘I’m actually the picture of health. I look like a healthy girl who eats and is active. I don’t think this is about my health. I think that you want me to be really skinny.’ He’s like, ‘No, I wouldn’t say that,’” JoJo adds.
“I ended up working with a nutritionist who had me on a 500-calorie diet a day. I was taking these injections that make you have no appetite. I was like, ‘Let me see how thin I could wear because maybe then they will put out an album. Maybe I’m so disgusting that nobody wants to see me in the video and they can’t even look at me.’ That’s really what I thought.”

Eventually, she turned to drugs and alcohol as a way to feel “pretty” and “worthy.”
“There were definitely nights that I stumbled out of clubs and that I blacked out. I was just completely reckless, did not care. I needed to be buzzed to feel okay. I would go to the edge, stand on my tiptoes on the edge and then come back. I should be dead,” she said.
Now, JoJo is looking to create a new legacy with her new album, good to know, out in the spring.

“This journey has been a journey of learning how to love myself. I feel really lucky, really, really grateful for the longevity that I have and for the resilience that I do have. But I work on it every day. I want to create a life for myself and I want to create a legacy.”

Kim & Kourtney Kardashian Get Into Fist Fight In Explosive 'KUWTK' Promo!
The upcoming season of Keeping Up With the Kardashians looks intense!
On Tuesday (February 25), E! shared the first promo of KUWTK season 18, which shows the Kar-Jenners fighting like never before.

The drama of last season appears to have spilled right into the next as the promo begins with sisters Kourtney, Khloe, and Kim Kardashian arguing. "Why do you have to have an attitude?" Khloe asks Kourt, who swiftly responds, "Don't involve yourself in business that is not yours."
Khloe then retorts, "Then don't talk about it in front of me," as Kourtney walks out of the room
Later, Kim calls Khloe on Facetime to tell her that she not only ran into her ex Tristan Thompson but asked him to hang out. "You're gonna kill me: Tristan is joining us for dinner," Kim tells her.

As previously teased by Kim, her feud with Kourtney appears to come to a head in season 18 as the promo shows the sisters getting into a physical fight. "You have nothing to say!" Kourtney yells at Kim before throwing something at her. The Poosh creator is then shown pushing Kim, who later gets up and gets into Kourtney's face as she tells her, "Don't ever come at me like that," and proceeds to punch her.

#OMG! 6-Year-Old Florida Girl Begs School Resource Officer To Release Her In Disturbing, Shocking Video!
The family of Kaia Rolle, a 6-year-old who was arrested on school grounds, recently released disturbing footage from the September 19, 2019, incident, where the child can be heard pleading and crying with officers for her release.
The footage, obtained by the New York Post shows Kaia prior to, and in the aftermath after she was restrained with zip ties by officers at the Lucious and Emma Nixon Academy Charter School in Orlando, Florida.
“No, no, I don’t want handcuffs on!” Kaia screams at one point in the video. “No, don’t put handcuffs on! Please!”
“Please — give me a second chance!” she later begs. “Please, let me go!”
Kaia was cuffed and escorted to a police car by Officer Dennis Turner, who was later suspended for not securing approval from his supervisor prior to the arrest.

WATCH
Administrators called authorities claiming Kaia had struck three employees at the school in the midst of a kicking tantrum. However Kaia’s grandmother, Meralyn Kirkland, was outraged and argued the incident should have been handled differently due to her claim that Kaia suffers from sleep apnea and was acting out due to a change of medication and sleep deprivation.
“No six-year-old child should be able to tell somebody that they had handcuffs on them and they were riding in the back of a police car and taken to a juvenile center to be fingerprinted, mug shot,” Kirkland said.
Kaia was one of two children taken into custody from the school on the same day. She was booked at Orlando’s Juvenile Center where she was also fingerprinted and posed for a mug shot. Kaia was also charged with misdemeanor battery, but prosecutors dropped the charge the next day.

Kirkland along with other family members want the state to do more by setting a standard that the state law minimum to arrest children be set at 12 years old. Currently the law states a child can be arrested under the age of 12 with approval, leading to why Turner was suspended from his school resource officer duties.

“I knew that what they did was wrong, but I never knew she was begging for help,” Kirkland told the Orlando Sentinel on Monday. “I watched her break.”!

Philadelphia Renames A South Philly Street After The Legendary Roots Crew!
After more than three decades in the music business, the legendary Roots Crew has been memorialized in their hometown of Philadelphia. Now, the road between South Street and Bainbridge Streets will be renamed: “Avenue of the Roots.”
Councilman Mark Squilla introduced the resolution to rename the stretch of East Passyunk Avenue after the Philly-bred hip-hop act last week at City Council. “They had first started there on Passyunk and South Street, that’s where they would go and do their singing at night,” Squilla said. “Philadelphia is still a land of music and arts and culture, and the more we bring attention to it, the better we are.”

On Friday, the sign was unveiled to Questlove, who founded the group with Black Thought in ’87.

“Welp, this is very Philly,” Questlove wrote. “Technically, we were supposed to wait for the vote, and then like in May come Picnic Time, we’d have an unveiling with confetti and kool-aid lol, but cats was like ‘NOAP! We finna put this jawn up now. Really awesome to see the place we honed our skills and craft embrace us.”
“The Roots started their performance experience by busking on the streets of Philadelphia. East Passyunk Avenue and South Street was one of their main locations. Since then, The Roots have taken Philadelphia with them on television nightly and to audiences worldwide. The Roots are, and will always be, appreciated as a talented band from the streets of Philadelphia,” the resolution read, according to Variety.
The official ceremony will kick off in May.

Nicki Minaj Stuns In Revealing Carnival Outfit Amid Pregnancy Rumors!
Nicki Minaj outfit for Trinidad and Tobago Carnival is definitely not a maternity outfit!
The "Anaconda" rapper showed off her revealing and fantastic outfit while she prepares to party it up on her island on Tuesday. Nicki donned a blue and purple feather ensemble that left little to the imagination, including her toned midsection. The skimpy outfit comes just one day after rumors started swirling that she is expecting because her husband, Kenneth Petty was seen rubbing the star's belly.

"πŸ‡ΉπŸ‡ΉπŸ™πŸΎ meet me on Tribe truck right now πŸ˜˜πŸ₯°♥️," Nicki captioned her sultry post before sharing another pic and captioned it, "Trini to di πŸ¦΄"
Nicki's millions of followers were blown away by her hotness and were thrilled to see her cute little two-step at the end of her video.
"This little dance you was about to go into tho!! πŸ˜‚♥️ Get itttttπŸ‘‘," an excited follower commented, while another said, "Yessss island girl πŸ”₯πŸ”₯."
"Oh steppin’ on necks!! I tried to wear same the same thing but ended up looking like an exotic turkeyπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚," one fan joked. "You are so silly πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ looking good as always ❤️."
Her fans were convinced that the "Queen" rapper confirmed her pregnancy by teasing a video showing her husband rubbing her stomach. The Barbz went wild after she shared the sweet video but was Nicki messing with us or trying to tell us something. The Carnival pic pokes a few holes in the pregnancy theory because her tummy looked really flat and toned but perhaps the outfit is designed to throw us off.
"u pregnant sis? thats what u celebrating???" one fan wrote, while another simply asked, "Pregnant????"

She has not confirmed either way but we can confirm that she looks fabulous.

Fresh off his turn as a sweater sex symbol, “Knives Out” star Chris Evans, 38, is in negotiations to take on the role Steve Martin played in the 1986 film adaption, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Harvey Weinstein's Ex-Wife Georgina Chapman Is Now Dating Actor Adrien Brody!
Harvey Weinstein is about to be locked up behind bars in a New York jail, but his ex-wife is finding comfort in her life after it was revealed she has now moved on with actor Adrien Brody.

According to multiple reports, the Oscar-winning actor and Weinstein's ex, Georgina Chapman, are now an item.
Rumors of the relationship surfaced last year that the two were in casually dating, but the New York Post says at the time Harvey was convicted of rape charges, the new couple was still together.
The story goes that the two of them met and had seen each other out socially in the past, things got a bit more serious after seeing each other in Puerto Rico for the launch of Helena Christensen's swimwear line in April.

Photos of two looking cozy at a dinner during the event have surfaced, as they can be seen sitting across from each other at the event.
Chapman initially met Adrien through her ex-husband after the Oscar winner starred in two of his films, 'Hollywoodland' and 'Jailbreakers.'
According to one report, in Puerto Rico, they reconnected and "bonded over cocktails."
Georgina and Harvey share two young children and split up after reports surfaced of his alleged sexual assaults. “My heart breaks for all the women who have suffered tremendous pain because of these unforgivable actions," Chapman said at the time.

She continued, “I have chosen to leave my husband. Caring for my young children is my first priority and I ask the media for privacy at this time.”
As we reported, Harvey Weinstein was hospitalized after he complained of chest pains on his way to Riker's Island Jail in New York. His lawyer says the disgraced producer is now in a wheelchair and is afraid he will die in prison.

Weinstein faces up to 25 years behind bars, after being convicted of third-degree rape and one other charge.
