In her interview, Reese talks about the making of ‘The Morning Show’.
When we started, the show was just a book, and nothing had happened with Harvey Weinstein or Les Moonves yet. The Roger Ailes scandal had happened the year before. Then, in October 2017, all those stories started to break about the way women in media were treated. We decided we needed to start from square one and redevelop everything with more of a slant about the truth coming out in media and people being held accountable for their behavior.”

The Assassination of Joshua Brown there are 2 suspects in custody, 1 sought in cop trial witness slaying!
DALLAS (AP) — Three Louisiana men are suspected in the killing of a witness who testified at the murder trial of a former Dallas police officer, authorities said Tuesday, cautioning that the killing had nothing at all to do with that trial or case.
One of the suspects, Michael Mitchell, 32, was arrested by federal deputy marshals Tuesday night in Marksville, Louisiana, the Dallas Police Department said in a statement. Mitchell’s nephew, 20-year-old Jacquerious Mitchell, was in critical condition in a Dallas hospital with a gunshot wound. The third suspect, Thaddeous Green, 22, was still at large.

Investigators believe the three men were in Dallas to buy drugs from Joshua Brown , Assistant Chief Avery Moore said at a news conference earlier Tuesday. Moore said Jacquerious Mitchell told police that Brown shot him in the chest after Green and Brown began fighting during the drug deal, and that Green then shot Brown twice.
Green left with Brown’s backpack and gun, police said. Authorities confiscated 12 pounds (5.4 kilograms) of marijuana, 149 grams of THC cartridges and more than $4,000 in cash during a search of Brown’s home.

It is unclear how the three men came into contact with Brown or why they would have driven more than 300 miles (483 kilometers) from central Louisiana to purchase marijuana in Texas.
The police announcement comes after rampant speculation regarding Brown’s death, which happened two days after a jury sentenced the white former police officer to 10 years in prison for killing her black upstairs neighbor in a case that sparked fierce debate over race, politics and policing.

Amber Guyger fatally shot Botham Jean in September 2018 in his fourth-floor apartment and testified that she mistook it for her own unit one floor below. She was arrested on a manslaughter charge three days after the killing, prompting criticism that the original charge was too lenient, but a grand jury later decided on the more serious charge of murder.
Brown, who was black, was one of several neighbors who were called by prosecutors to testify at the trial. The conspiracy theories surrounding his death underscored the distrust that some Dallas residents have for their police department.
“I have no reason to believe that their conclusions so far in the investigation are unreliable, but I believe ... some members of the community will have a difficult time accepting it because of their association ... with the Amber Guyger trial,” said Lee Merritt, attorney for the families of Brown and Jean.

The NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund Inc. previously requested an independent investigation into Brown’s death, calling it “deeply alarming and highly suspicious” in a news release. And Merritt urged the department to hand off the investigation into Brown’s death to another law enforcement agency as a way to bolster trust.
But Moore, the assistant police chief, said Tuesday that it was reckless for people to speculate as to the circumstances surrounding Brown’s death, adding that it undermined the public’s faith in the department.
“As you know, there’s been speculation and rumors that have been shared by community leaders claiming that Mr. Brown’s death was related to the Amber Guyger trial and somehow the Dallas Police Department was responsible,” Moore said. “I assure you that is simply not true and I encourage those leaders to be mindful of their actions moving forward because their words have jeopardized the integrity of the city of Dallas as well as the Dallas Police Department.”
The tensions between Dallas police and community activists erupted in shouting and shoving at the first meeting of a new Community Police Oversight Committee. The disturbance happened when the committee adjourned without taking public comment. Police Chief U. Renee Hall intervened and opened the floor to comment, much of it critical of the department and mistrustful of the committee’s intensions.

Brown, who lived on the same floor as Jean, testified that on the night Jean was killed, he heard what sounded like “two people meeting by surprise” and then two gunshots. He said he had met Jean, a 26-year-old accountant from the Caribbean island nation of St. Lucia, for the first time earlier that day.

Merritt previously said Brown had had reservations about testifying in such a high-profile trial because he had been wounded in a shooting outside of a Dallas strip club last year. Police Major Max Geron said Tuesday that investigators have no evidence linking that shooting to Brown’s death.
Since the shooting, elected leaders have asked the public to refrain from speculating about the circumstances of Brown’s death. Mayor Eric Johnson on Tuesday thanked “everyone who demonstrated patience and responsibly reserved their judgment while” police investigated.

The Rev. Michael Waters, pastor of Joy Tabernacle African Methodist Episcopal Church in Dallas, who has pushed for police reform in the city, said the speculation around Brown’s death is driven by “generations” of mistrust for the police that’s grown out of wrongful convictions and abuse.

“There is cause for the community to be skeptical,” Waters said. “There is a lack of credibility that the Dallas Police Department currently has and, frankly, it’s not just among brown and black communities.”

According to Nielsen Music, DaBaby’s KIRK sold 145,000 album equivalent units to become the top-selling album for the week ending October 3. Streaming played the biggest role in the LP’s success as the project only sold 8,000 copies in terms of pure album sales.

DaBaby’s previous career peak was No. 7, which he set earlier this year with his debut studio album Baby On Baby. The LP was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America in June.

Elsewhere on the latest Billboard 200, Kevin Gates’ I’m Him album debuted at No. 4. The LP sold 76,000 equivalent album units with 15,000 of those copies being pure album sales.

Oprah Winfrey donates $13 million to Morehouse College!
Oprah Winfrey donated $13 million to Morehouse College on Monday further contributing to her scholarship program at the institution that was founded more than 150 years ago to educate African American men.

Winfrey topped her own $12 million donation she made to the Atlanta college 30 years ago. The $25 million donation is the largest endowment in the history of the school.“I was really surprised to learn that it’s been 30 years since I made that $12 million donation to Morehouse, so today I would like to add $13 million to that,” Winfrey said to cheers in an announcement at the school.
The $13 million will go solely to the Oprah Winfrey Scholars Program that was created with her gift in 1989. About 600 students have been educated through the program.
Winfrey, the media mogul and philanthropist, made the surprise announcement after meeting 47 Oprah Winfrey Scholars, whom she called “sons,” according to a news release from the college. The college presented Winfrey with a painting of her likeness.
Winfrey’s gift comes less than two weeks after the college announced several budget cuts to help with the school’s cash flow problems. For the next nine months most professional staff and faculty will receive a monthly furlough day and the school will cease matching contributions to retirement funds for all employees.

Historically black colleges such as Morehouse traditionally have more difficulty getting major contributions from donors. Students at those schools typically come from families with lower household incomes and graduate with greater student loan debt. At Morehouse, a private liberal arts college with about 2,200 students, the average student loan debt for graduates is between $35,000 to $40,000, which is more than the national average of about $29,000.
The college announced last month that the gift, $34 million, will be directly paid by the college to student loan companies.Winfrey was in Atlanta on Saturday for the grand opening of Tyler Perry Studios.
“I’m grateful to Oprah Winfrey for her generosity,” said the college’s president, David A. Thomas, in a statement. “I am also feeling hopeful for Morehouse and what it has garnered in terms of philanthropic support with gifts like Oprah’s and Robert Smith’s. I am hopeful that this will also get others to step up with their support of Morehouse, but even more broadly, historically black colleges and universities.”

Tiny Harris Has $750K Worth of Jewelry Stolen From Car!
TIP’s wife has had a few of her crowning jewels stolen. Singer/reality star, Tameka “Tiny” Harris – wife of rapper/entrepreneur Clifford “T.I.” Harris – was reportedly dining with a friend at Bar Amalfi in Atlanta’s Midtown neighborhood when her Lamborghini SUV was broken into. According to police reports, she parked the SUV at around 8:45PM and returned to it after 11PM, discovering over $750K in jewelry gone.

WSBTV reporter Michael Seiden shared that wedding rings, watches and stud earrings were among stolen jewelry left “inside a blue velour bag, on top of the center console of her Lamborghini SUV”. She also had “no knowledge” that the jewelry was inside.

Neither T.I. nor Tiny have commented on the robbery.

Lori Loughlin Will Likely Get Harsher Sentence Than Felicity Huffman!
The attorney who is behind Lori Loughlin‘s prosecution is speaking out about her likely sentence.
U.S Attorney for Massachusetts Andrew Lelling recently opened up about what he believes is in store for Lori.

“We will probably ask for a higher sentence for [Lori] than we did for Felicity Huffman. I can’t tell you what that would be…it’s tough to tell at this point,” Andrew told Channel 5 Boston.
Last month, Felicity was sentenced to two weeks in jail for her involvement in the college admissions scandal.

Andrew added, “It just happened to be that Ms. Huffman was probably the least culpable of the defendants who we’ve charged in that case. She took responsibility almost immediately, she was contrite, did not try to minimize her conduct. I think she handled it in a very classy way.”

Fans Accuse Justin Bieber of Mocking Taylor Swift!
Accusations come hard and swift when it comes to the Swifties, so, when Justin Bieber did an impression of Taylor Swift, some found it funny but others claim it's another example of bullying.
Bieber was rolling around the kitchen when he went Live on his Instagram. He was being filmed by his wife, Hailey when he evoked Taylor's viral video from the "Tonight Show."
Jimmy Fallon recently played a never before seen video that Swift's mom filmed after the star received Lasik surgery.

"It's not the banana that I wanted!" Bieber yelled while channeling Swift's confused, post-surgery state. "It not the right banana. It has no head!"
Hailey quickly said, "That was so funny," from behind the camera, clearly talking about Swift's banana meltdown.
Fans erupted with opinions about if the imitation was a form of flattery or if Bieber was throwing shade at Taylor.
"This is straight up mocking," one pro Swift fan said while another wrote, "can he shut up forever please and thank you."

Alex Trebek Says Cancer Treatments May Force Him To Leave ‘Jeopardy!’
Jeopardy! host Alex Trebek is hinting that his ongoing battle with pancreatic cancer could force him to step away from the popular game show.
Trebek spoke candidly in a Friday interview with Canada’s CTV television network, saying his chemotherapy treatments are starting to affect his speech.

“I talk to the producers about this all the time now. I say, ‘Look, I’m slurring my words. My tongue doesn’t work as much, as well as it used to. The chemo has caused sores inside my mouth. It makes it difficult for me to speak and enunciate properly,’” he explained.
“I’m sure there are observant members of the television audience that notice also, but they’re forgiving,” he added. “But there will come a point when they will no longer be able to say, ‘It’s OK.'”
The Canada native has hosted Jeopardy! for 36 seasons, and revealed in March that he’d been diagnosed with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer. Last month, Trebek released a video on the show’s YouTube channel saying he needed another round of chemo after a setback over the summer.

He vowed in the TV interview to continue to fight.
“We’ll play it by ear and keep chugging along until we either win or lose,” he said.
Trebek, 79, added that he’s “not afraid of dying.”

“I’ve lived a good life, a full life, and I’m nearing the end of that life… If it happens, why should I be afraid of that?” he said.

The Saga Continues: Antonio Brown Files For $40 Million In Grievances Against The Patriots & The Raiders!
Antonio Brown Thinks The Patriots & The Raiders Owe Him Money. The saga that is Antonio Brown never ends, and now, the ongoing battle with his former NFL teams is making its way to court.

According to reports from NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport, the NFL Player’s Association has filed grievances against both the Oakland Raiders and New England Patriots on Antonio Brown’s behalf. AB is looking to recoup close to the $40 million that he lost in unpaid salary, fines, and voided guarantees.
In this deal, Brown wants to get the $29 million he was guaranteed for the 2019 and 2020 seasons from the Raiders. The baller also wants to recover the $1 million signing bonus, the $215,000 that was garnished due to fines, and the $860,294 he was owed from the week he requested to be traded.

As far as the Patriots are concerned, Antonio is seeking the $9 million signing bonus he was never paid, $64,062 from his Week 1 salary, along with the remaining $1.025 million of his guaranteed money. All of this is also accompanied by a breach of contract grievance that Brown has reportedly filed against New England for how they handled his situation.

These hefty grievances were filed on Friday, but in his report, Rapoport says that Brown probably won’t get his day in court until the sometime in the spring. On top of the waiting game, though, the disgraced baller is in for a tough fight.

Kelly Rowland Fuels Rumors She And Husband Of 5 Years Are Heading For Divorce!
*Word on the curb is that Kelly Rowland may be single again.

The 38-year-old singer has reportedly split from her husband Tim Weatherspoon after 5 years of marriage. Sources close to the singer claims they’re separated or in the process of filing for divorce, per Ace Showbiz.
Kelly has fueled rumors and speculation about her marital status after she was spotted recently without her wedding ring.
On Tuesday, October 1, the Destiny Child songstress was seen without her wedding ring on when she stepped out with her son Titan. She also ditched it for a lunch outing in West Hollywood in late September.

Via Ace Showbiz: Moreover, Kelly has been attending events alone recently, which is quite uncharacteristic of the Atlanta-born star. Asked about the separation rumors, a friend of Kelly tells MTO News, “I heard that too. But Kelly is so private, so I don’t know for sure.”
Kelly last shared a post on Instagram featuring her husband in late August.
Kelly and her manager Tim reportedly began dating in 2011 and they tied the knot in Costa Rica on May 9, 2014. The couple welcomed their first child, Titan Jewell Weatherspoon, on November 4, 2014.

Kelly recently spoke about possibly expanding her family with another kid. “Oh my gosh, my son keeps asking me for a sibling, but it’s just not (the) right timing,” she told PEOPLE.

The New York Yankees Has punched themselves a ticket to the ALCS!
MINNEAPOLIS -- The Yankees prepared in the dark prior to Monday’s Game 3 of the American League Division Series, their collection of high-tech equipment having drained a wonky circuit breaker in the visiting clubhouse at Target Field. Four hours later, they turned the lights out on the Twins’ season.
Gleyber Torres cracked his first postseason home run and contributed two deft defensive plays, Luis Severino hurled four scoreless innings before turning the game over to the bullpen and the Yankees once again popped the corks after advancing to the American League Championship Series with a 5-1 victory, completing a series sweep of Minnesota.

“Tonight we’ll enjoy the celebration and everything,” Torres said, a river of Budweiser traveling down the collar of his T-shirt. “But the next day we’ll go to the ballpark, focusing on what we want. We’ll be ready for everything, ready for the next series and try to focus on doing the same thing – winning games.”

The Twins’ front office had spoken about it being “time to slay the dragon” of the Yankees’ postseason dominance, but 27 mostly lopsided innings revealed only that the fire-breathing monster is alive and well. Manager Aaron Boone and his club will now await the winner of the other ALDS between the Astros and Rays, with Houston leading that best-of-five series, 2-1.

“They played such a clean game,” Boone said of his club. “They made so many plays in big spots. I really thought the Twins brought it tonight. They made it difficult. They had traffic, it seemed like, all night. Our guys just kept making big pitches when they needed to, and big defensive plays.”
By completing the sweep, the Yankees dispatched the Twins to a Major League-record 16th consecutive postseason loss -- 13 of which have come against New York, dating to 2004. Though Minnesota led the Majors with a record-setting 307 homers during the regular season, one more than the Yankees, the “Bomba Squad” was largely kept in their ballpark by the Bombers’ staff.
The Yankees planned to spend the evening in Minneapolis, then jet home on Wednesday. Assuming their electricity is operational, they’ll turn their attention to the Tampa Bay-Houston ALDS matchup.

Game 1 of the ALCS will be on Saturday; the Yankees will host it if they face Tampa Bay, and will be on the road if their opponent is Houston. All ALCS games will air on FOX/FS1, and game times are to be determined.

"I'm so happy. So happy,” Torres said. “We played really good baseball. But tonight was already played, so now we'll focus on the next series."
