#Empire: Did Empire Get Rid Of Damon Cross For Good?
The third episode of Empire Season 6 was tasked with resolving the insane cliffhanger that saw Cookie held at gunpoint by Damon Cross, and "You Broke Love" certainly delivered. Fans who thought that Damon went after Cookie as a way of getting back just at Lucious weren't entirely on the money, as Damon also had video footage of Cookie taking the picture of the incriminating email on his phone. Throw in the laptop Lucious stole from Damon, and it's not altogether shocking that Damon snapped. After how "You Broke Love" ended his story, is he gone for good?

Well, Damon seemed unstoppable for most of the episode, restraining Cookie and then shooting her in the leg when she tried to make a run for it. Cookie spitting in his face didn't exactly endear her to him, and he ultimately gave orders for his men to go after her grandchildren. Although Lucious originally refused to help Cookie, he eventually caved and agreed to return Damon's laptop in exchange for Cookie's safety.

Everything didn't go according to plan for Damon after he arranged to meeting with Lucious in a public place. In the middle of a street, Lucious went to hand over the laptop to Damon, who had been dragging a wounded Cookie. Then Lucious flung the laptop into the street, grabbed Cookie, and ran to catch a cab. The laptop was destroyed, but Cookie had saved the SIM card that contained the incriminating photo, and she and Lucious were able to use it to get the federal charges against Lucious dropped and set Damon back in some big ways.
With Lucious and Cookie back on top, it stands to reason that Damon might be defeated for good. Or at least for the rest of Empire, which will wrap in the not-too-distant future. According to new episode photos, however, the battle against Damon probably isn't done. Take a look:
That right there is Damon Cross facing off against Lucious Lyon in a parking garage, and both men have guns drawn. It's not clear right now where exactly they are beyond a parking garage with a bike rack, but I'm guessing they don't have an audience. It also looks like Lucious went after Damon, as Damon seems to be getting into or out of a car. Alternately, this was Lucious interrupting Damon as he did something in somebody else's car.
Interestingly, the trunk of the car is open. If this is Damon's vehicle, then it's probably holding something that he wouldn't want to be caught with. A body? Illegal goods? A statue of Cookie that he finally decided to get rid of? We can only speculate at this point. Neither man looks like they're messing around, and it's hard to imagine how they'll both leave the parking garage unharmed.

I wouldn't want to count on Damon biting the dust so early, though, and Lucious won't be dying -- if indeed he does die -- until the present in the show catches up with the flash-forwards. This was the only image featuring Damon Cross that has been released from next week's episode, called "Tell the Truth," but another photo shows that Lucious is probably missing something significant for the showdown with Damon:

This photo shows Cookie with Hakeem, Teri, Andre, and their newborn baby, with Lucious as the obvious missing person. After all, Jamal certainly isn't expected to come back, and the vacant spot next to Cookie (who is endearingly wearing comfortable slippers) can only belong to Lucious. Is he absent because his confrontation with Damon is taking too long, or did Damon do something to him?

Next week's episode will feature Keesha Sharp of Lethal Weapon fame and see the Lyon family disagreeing despite a happy occasion that should have brought them back together. Lucious isn't happy with how Empire and the Empire movie are being handled after his long absence, Cookie considers seeking help (which is probably where Keesha Sharp's character comes in), and Andre talks to Tiana about the controversy she caused with her pro-life stance on social media.

The "Tell the Truth" episode of Empire airs Tuesday, October 15 at 9 p.m. ET on Fox.

#NewMusic from Fantasia is back with ‘Sketchbook’!
Grammy-winning singer, songwriter Fantasia drops the brand new album, Sketchbook, her first project under her independently-ran label imprint via Rock Soul in partnership with B.M.G.
The 12-track album is headed by the previously released singles “Enough,” currently top 5 on Urban AC, “PTSD” featuring T-Pain, and “Holy Ghost.”
‘Sketchbook’ sketches and weaves together varying topics native to who Fantasia is; the story that has solidified the powerhouse artistry she holds today, and enriching enlightenment to the life she envisions for the future.

“I’ve shared so much with the world but I feel that there is more still in this journey .. I’m still growing,” Fantasia shared regarding her inspiration behind the LP. “In the sketchbook we’re still coloring out and painting it out the way I want to be seen, not allowing anybody else to take control of that journey. This sketchbook, what I’m showing through my music, no matter where I go, I want people to see that the painting is still being filled in and there’s many colors and many things to Fantasia that they still don’t know — especially music.”

Fans can also expect an album loaded with diverse music. The project is genre-less and is a body of work that draws on all the music inspirations near-and-dear to Fantasia — from iconic rock band Queen to her biggest inspiration Ms. Aretha Franklin. It gives a hint of nostalgia from her days at American Idol — singing rock, soul and every genre encompassed in-between.

In addition to the album release, The Sketchbook Tour kicks off with Robin Thicke, Tank, and The Bonfyre (acts may vary based on location). For more information on tour details, including exclusive V.I.P. packages, visit http://www.FantasiaOfficial.com.

A Fake video of Trump shooting media and opponents 'shown at president's resort'!
A screengrab from the video showing a mocked-up Donald Trump attacking his opponents in a church
A mocked-up video depicting US president Donald Trump stabbing and shooting his political opponents and the media has reportedly been shown at a meeting of the president’s supporters at his Miami resort.

The New York Times reported on Sunday that the video, which has since been posted on Twitter, shows a scene from Kingsman: The Secret Service, edited to appear as though Trump is stabbing and opening fire on people and news organisations in a church.
The targets include CNN, Politico, Black Lives Matter, the BBC, the Guardian, MSNBC host Rachel Maddow, Hillary Clinton, the late senator John McCain, Bernie Sanders, Barack Obama and others inside the “Church of Fake News”.

Since his 2016 election win, Trump has frequently described media outlets reporting on him as the “fake news media” and the “enemy of the people”.
The video appears to be created by TheGeekzTeam on YouTube, a pro-Trump channel that has a long history of creating video mashups in support of the 45th president. The video in question was posted to the channel in July 2018.

According to the Times, the video was shown last week at the American Priority conference at Doral Miami resort. Speakers at the event included Donald Trump Jr and former White House spokesperson Sarah Huckabee Sanders.
One of the event organisers, Alex Phillips told the Times that he denounced the video and was looking into how it was played at the event.

In a statement on Thursday, CNN said the video was “vile and horrific”.
“Sadly, this is not the first time that supporters of the president have promoted violence against the media in a video they apparently find entertaining – but it is by far and away the worst,” CNN said in a tweeted statement.
“The president and his family, the White House, and the Trump campaign need to denounce it immediately in the strongest possible terms. Anything less equates to a tacit endorsement of violence and should not be tolerated by anyone.”

The White House Correspondents Association said it was “horrified” by the video and “all Americans should condemn this depiction of violence directed towards journalists and his political opponents”.
“We have previously told the president his rhetoric could incite violence. Now we call on him and everybody associated with this conference to denounce this video and affirm that violence has no place in our society.”

Beto O’Rourke condemned the video on Twitter, saying: “This video isn’t funny. It will get people killed.”
A spokesperson for Trump told the Times that the video had nothing to do with Trump’s re-election campaign and the campaign does not condone violence.

#BoxOfficeNews: 'Joker' is still Laughing#1, 'Addams Family' is Solid in Second and Gemini struggles at #3!
In the face of three new wide releases, there was no dethroning Joker from the weekend's top spot as the film not only topped the weekend box office domestically, internationally and worldwide, it has already generated over $543 million globally in just its first twelve days in global release. As for the newcomers, UAR's The Addams Family led the way with a solid second place debut while Paramount's Gemini Man and Lionsgate's Jexi struggled to find an audience. However, one film that didn't struggle was Neon's release of the Palme d'Or winner Parasite, which made an impact in just three theaters this weekend.

With an estimated $55 million, WB's Joker easily repeat atop the weekend box office. The thriller dipped just -43% in its sophomore frame, pushing its domestic cume to $192.7 million after just ten days in release, dramatically outperforming pre-weekend expectations. In fact, it's the largest October second weekend ever, topping Gravity's $43.2 million sophomore frame back in 2013.

Internationally, Joker delivered on a large scale, bringing in an estimated $123.7 million from 79 markets for an overseas cume that now tops $351 million and a worldwide total that has already reached $543.9 million. This makes the film the ninth largest DC Comics adaptation worldwide ever, currently placing behind Justice League ($657.9m). New openings this weekend included a $10.3 million debut in France and a $9.3 million opening in Germany. The UK is the film's top grossing overseas market with an estimated total that currently stands at $36.9 million.

Second place is where we find the first of the weekend's new releases in UAR's animated adaptation The Addams Family, which managed to just outperform Mojo's pre-weekend expectations, delivering an estimated $30.29 million over the three-day weekend. Opening day audiences gave the film a "B+" CinemaScore with females representing 59% of the opening weekend crowd and 48% of the overall audience was under the age of 17. What will be interesting is to see how the film performs over the coming weeks as it should take advantage of the Halloween season.

Paramount's Gemini Man landed in third as the Ang Lee-directed doppelgΓ€nger action-thriller starring Will Smith managed just $20.5 million over its first three-days in release. The $138 million production received a "B+" CinemaScore from opening day audiences. Overall, the audience skewed male at 56% with 53% of the overall crowd coming in aged under 30.

Internationally, Gemini Man debuted in five markets last week and expanded to a total of 58 this weekend from which it brought in an estimated $31.1 million for an overseas cume that now totals $39 million. France and Germany, where the film opened last weekend, remain the top markets with comes totaling $5.1 million and $4.5 million respectively. As for the new markets, both Mexico and Russia saw $2.7 million debuts this weekend followed by South Korea and the UK, both opening with $2.2 million. The film has yet to open in Japan or Taiwan, where it will open on October 25.

Universal finished in fourth position with their animated feature Abominable, which brought in an estimated $6.17 million as it enters its third week in release. The film's domestic cume now stands at $47.9 million. Additionally, the film brought in another $15 million internationally this weekend from 52 markets currently in play for an overseas cume totaling $60.1 million and a worldwide cume that now stands at $108.1 million.

Rounding out the top five is Focus's release of Downton Abbey, which is entering its fourth week in release and brought in an estimated $4.9 million, for a domestic cume that now stands at $82.68 million. Internationally the film added another $4.1 million this weekend for an overseas cume totaling $70 million and a worldwide cume that now stands at $152.7 million.

Kim Kardashian Claps Back at Kanye West After He Calls Her Met Gala 2019 Dress 'Too Sexy'!
Kim Kardashian‘s 2019 Met Gala look turned into a bit of a fight between she and Kanye West.
In the latest episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, the 38-year-old KKW Beauty mogul showed the 42-year-old rapper her Thierry Mugler dress the night before the big event, and Kanye told her that he doesn’t like her showing off her body because it’s affecting “his soul” as a married man.

“The corset, underwear, all of that vibe, I just feel like I just went through this transition where, from being a rapper, like, looking at all these girls, and looking at my wife, like, oh, my girl needs to be just like the other girls, showing her body off, showing this, showing that,” Kanye explained. “And I didn’t realize that that was affecting, like, my soul and my spirit as someone that’s married and loved, and the father of, like, now what about to be four kids. A corset is like a form of underwear. It’s hot. It’s like, it’s hot for who, though?”

Kim – who had been planning her custom Met Gala look for nearly a year – told Kanye that his last-minute disapproval gave her anxiety.
“You knew last night I was having really bad anxiety, and I don’t need any more negative energy for you to now say that you’re not into me wearing a tight dress,” Kim shared to which Kanye responded, “You are my wife and it affects me when pictures are too sexy.”
Kim then went on to explain to Kanye that he was the one that built her up to be the a sexy and confident person.

“You built me up to be, like, this sexy person and confident and all this stuff,” Kim said. “And just because you’re on a journey, and you’re on your transformation doesn’t mean that I’m in the same spot with you.”

Elton John Defends Ellen Degeneres' Friendship With George W. Bush!
Ellen Degeneres' choice to attend a Dallas Cowboys football game with George W. Bush last week has caused mixed reactions, with critics condemning her for associating with the controversial president and supporters praising her for setting differences aside and being open-minded. Elton John is the latest celebrity to side with the talk show host.

“I admire Ellen for standing up and saying what she said," the icon said during a recent interview. "George Bush has made a lot of mistakes. I made a lot of mistakes. Ellen DeGeneres has made a lot of mistakes. People need to come together […] They need to respect people’s view on life. Except when it’s heresy, and I don’t think George Bush is that kind of guy.”

Earlier this week Degeneres responded to the backlash she received for hanging out with Bush during a monologue on her show.
"Here’s the thing: I’m friends with George Bush. In fact, I’m friends with a lot of people who don’t share the same beliefs that I have," she explained. "Just because I don't agree with someone on everything doesn't mean that I'm not going to be friends with them. When I say, 'Be kind to one another,' I don't only mean the people that think the same way that you do. I mean be kind to everyone."

DMX Checks Himself Into Rehab, Cancels Several Upcoming Shows!
DMX’s post-prison comeback just came to a halt. He just checked himself into rehab again and canceled several upcoming shows. More inside…
Last month, DMX announced he was making a musical comeback after inking a new deal with Def Jam. He was prepping to release a Christmas album, titled DMX-Mas, but it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen now.

On Instagram, the Yonkers rapper announced the cancellation of his upcoming slate of concerts in order to work on his sobriety by returning to rehab.
”In his ongoing commitment to putting family and sobriety first, DMX has checked himself into a rehab facility. He apologizes for his cancelled shows and thanks his fans for their continued support,” DMX’s official Instagram account announced.

X was tapped to perform Sunday for New York’s Rolling Loud Festival. Before his official announcement, X backed out of performing at Def Jam’s 25th anniversary party in Brooklyn earlier this week. “Personal reasons” were cited for him not performing.

The “Party Up” rapper was released from federal prison in January 2019 after he was sentenced to one year behind bars for tax evasion in March 2018. He must complete three years of probation and he has been ordered to pay $2.29 million in restitution to the government.
"Yeah, it's good to be back home,” the “How’s It Goin’ Down” rapper said during an interview with GQ – his first since being released from prison earlier this year.

Prayers up that X can fight his demons so he can be the father his 15 children need in their lives.

Rihanna Previews Her Visual Autobiography With Guggenheim Takeover In NYC!
New York City — Inside of the Guggenheim Museum, copies of Rihanna’s 15-pound "visual biography" were scattered around on display. For an institute that has exhibited the works of Pablo Picasso, Jean Arp and Rudolf Bauer, it might've seemed unconventional to showcase the many eras (both pre and post fame) of Robyn Rihanna Fenty, but considering her musical legacy, as well as her growing impact on the fashion and beauty industries, it’s not too out of scene, at least for the Navy.

After locking our phones in seal-proof bags, opting us out of digital escapism, iHeartRadio took to the star's release party on Friday night (October 11) in celebration of The Rihanna Book, a 504-page release — with 1,050 color images on three paper stocks and seven single and double-page gatefolds — that brings viewers closer to the global superstar. That's not hyperbole. For five years, the star, 31, has been captured by select photographers, including longtime friend Melissa Forde, in some of her most intimate and publicized moments.
From childhood memories, multiple tours, birthdays celebrations, quintessential fashion moments and even the sketch board for her "Bitch Better Have My Money" video, the coffee table-ready book showcases Rihanna in the same way that she uses social media. It's candid, unapologetic and, most importantly, authentic to her essence and brand. Best part of it all is her very fans have been part of the ride all along. Just as you'd imagine, the book also served as a bit of a "Who's who?" when it comes to the people in her inner circle, with special appearances from friendly faces like JAY-Z and BeyoncΓ©. Plus, the book is available in three very Rihanna-esque editions: "This Sh*t Is Heavy," "Drippy + the Brain" and "Stoner."

WATCH A PREVIEW HERE

While an open bar with Ace of Spades champagne and appetizers jumpstarted the Guggenheim takeover, attendees (both industry heads and longtime fans) explored the the floors of the venue void of selfies and backed by both throwback and current hip-hop from DJ Ross One. Just as many became comfortable with the groove of the event, the woman of the hour walked into her domain in a stunning leopard-print Yves Saint Laurent dress and took to the main level of museum to greet fans. With security covering her every move, the Barbadian beauty worked her way through the sea of attendees and grabbed a glass of champagne with orange juice. She was nearing her time to address the crowd. "It is such a big deal for me, for my culture, for a lot of young girls of any color," she said of the book during her thank you speech. While she admitted that she approached her publishers with a mere USB drive stored with pictures and said, "Here you go!" it was clear that Rihanna was not shy to share the love. In addition to thanking her small team of collaborator on the project, she made sure to toss it back to the mob of fans below her. This was for them. "You guys have been incredibly supportive over the years," she said.

The Rihanna Book is scheduled for release on October 24 via Phaidon.

Green Bay Packers’ Aaron Jones Fined By NFL For Taunting Cowboys’ Byron Jones!
Green Bay Packers star, Aaron Jones, 24, was fined by the NFL for waving goodbye to Dallas Cowboys cornerback Byron Jones during his run into the end zone last Sunday (Oct 6th). The subtle gesture in their 34-24 win over the Cowboys will cost the Packers cornerback more than $10,000. Jones, who added an extra layer onto his 6-yard carry, took to Twitter to celebrate. He writes,

“Since we are in Texas, down in El Paso, we say ‘HASTA LA VISTA BABY’”
According to reports, although the taunt did not draw a penalty, the NFL confirmed Friday (Oct 11th), announced Jones was fined $10,527 by for,

“taunting/ unsportsmanlike conduct”
Jones said while the wave wasn’t worth the fine, he’s pleased with the photo op. He says,
“I can’t say it was worth it, but the picture is a dope picture. I can’t argue with that. I’m going to have that blown up one day in my house. I definitely got a nice picture out of it, but it hurts my pocket a little bit. I want that money.”
Jones continues, revealing he was motivated by the on field trash talk.
“Throughout the game it gets chippy, and I’m not a guy who starts talking trash. But once you start talking trash to me, I usually don’t stop. I’m going to let you know when I make a play.”
The star running back plans to appeal the ruling by the league, claiming he wasn’t waving at anyone in particular, he was,
“Just in the zone.” After their victory on Sunday, Jones now leads the NFL with 8 rushing TDs this season. He is tied for the second-highest total through a team’s first five games since 2000.

What are your thoughts on Jones’ fine?

Kenyan Olympic Runner Eliud Kipchoge Breaks Two-Hour Marathon Barrier!
In Vienna City, Austria, Eliud Kipchoge of Kenya ran 26.2 miles in 1 hour 59 minutes 40 seconds, becoming the first person to cover the marathon distance in less than two hours. Kipchoge, 34, is an eight-time major marathon winner and three-time Olympic medalist.

The great feat will only be regarded as a symbolic one, which was 10 seconds quicker than the 1:59:50 time Kipchoge and his team originally set out to achieve. Unfortunately, the new record will not be officially recognized as a world record because it was not run under open marathon conditions and featured a dense rotation of professional pacesetters, according to the NY Times.
Organizers proclaimed the two-hour mark as “the last barrier of modern athletics” and attempted to get the hashtag, #nohumanislimited, trending on social media. Kipchoge repeatedly compared the two-hour marathon to humanity’s first journey to the moon.

“The pressure was very big on my shoulders,” said Kipchoge, who shared he received a call from President Uhuru Kenyatta of Kenya the night before the run.
Kipchoge previously made an attempt at breaking the two-hour barrier once before in 2017, in a similar event organized by Nike. Kipchoge ran a 2:00:25 marathon around an auto racetrack in Monza, Italy and was by far the fastest marathon ever run, but it was also not officially recognized as a world record because it was not run under normal race conditions

The New York Times reports Kipchoge produced the two fastest times in history at the time they were run and posted a world-record time of 2:01:39 in Berlin in 2018 and 2:02:37 last April in London. “Berlin was about running a world record,” Kipchoge said earlier this week. “Vienna is about running and breaking history, like the first man on the moon.”

Kipchoge jumped into the arms of his wife, Grace, and children as he crossed the finish line. Through all his years of competition, all the victories and medals and records in his career, this was the first time his family watched him run in person.

Congratulations to Eliud Kipchoge! #BlackBoyJoy

Kanye West Announces New 'Jesus Is King' Release Date!
Kanye West's new album Jesus Is King was supposed to come out on September 27. When that day came and went it gave us seriousYandhi flashbacks, but Kim Kardashian promised it would drop on the 29th. When that day came and went, it was hard to believe we'd ever hear Ye's gospel album. However, he's been hosting listening parties all over the country, and during the latest one at George Washington University, Lisner Auditorium in Washington D.C. on Saturday (October 12), he reportedly announced the record's new release date.

"‘Jesus Is King’ sounds amazing!" tweeted someone in attendance. "Kanye said the album is TENTATIVELY dropping on October 25. As of yesterday, he was still working on new music, which sounds amazing. The IMAX film was very moving. He also read us scriptures. Mark 1:15 is his favorite scripture." Another attendee confirmed everything in the original tweet was true. So Jesus Is King is coming out October 25, unless of course it doesn't. Check out the tweets below.
As of yesterday, he was still working on new music, which sounds amazing. The IMAX film was very moving. He also read us scriptures.

In addition to the new collection of songs, West is also releasing a corresponding IMAX film called Jesus Is Lord that is supposed to premiere this month. Perhaps he's planning to release both projects simultaneously? We'll just have to wait and see!
