Jourdan Dunn for Vogue UK - November 2019!
Creativity is such... an interesting process, don’t you think? I will always be intrigued by the ways in which an idea becomes a reality. Take, for example, how this month’s cover story came to be.
Firstly, in early July, I was at the couture shows in Paris. Of course, haute couture is always a divine whirlwind of lavish otherworldliness, but this season I was especially struck by the collections’ stunning sense of fantasy. A spark was lit.

Unrelated to this, a few days later I happened to be thinking about Jourdan Dunn, the much-loved British model and general force for good. In these days of improved representation in fashion, I recalled how, in the late Noughties, Jourdan had been one of the very few black girls to really break through in the industry since Naomi Campbell. (Famously, in 2008, Jourdan was the first black woman to walk in a Prada show for 10 years.)

I started to consider all the models who have followed her, such as Joan Smalls, Adwoa Aboah and Ugbad Abdi. I look around now and see all these incredible women, a whole new generation who don’t even know about that struggle, or what it was like to be the only ethnic girl in a line-up of 40 at a show. I thought how much the fashion landscape has shifted and how – from catwalks to advertising – the black model is no longer so sidelined.
Landscapes – in all senses – are crucial to our lives, ever-changing and unfixed. This is something that photographer Nick Knight understands well. Nick – a master of form, who, incidentally, has championed black models throughout his career – had expressed that he was keen for us to do a shoot together in the rolling green hills of Richmond Park, a place immortalised by painters such as Joshua Reynolds and Thomas Gainsborough in the 18th century.

And so, boom! There it was. Fantasy couture plus Nick Knight’s 21st-century take on the great English painters, featuring the ultimate cast of today’s black models, led by a woman who, for a while, was often the only one representing. Over two of the hottest days in summer, Vogue decamped to south-west London’s historic deer park to capture a sumptuous portrait of each of the women. The levels of camaraderie and excitement on show were so touching. I hope you enjoy the results – and the important interview Jourdan has given about her journey through the industry.
Elsewhere, the magazine is packed with faces both familiar and new. Eva Herzigová earned her stripes in the ’90s as the Guess girl, and I just love seeing the fascinating, impossibly self-assured woman she has become in her forties. Her trip to Germany with photographer Juergen Teller is a joy to behold. I am also thrilled to feature the brilliant designer Silvia Venturini Fendi, who worked with Karl Lagerfeld for so long, and now has the house in her hands.

From cinema, too, we bring you the best. Read all about national-treasures-in-waiting Felicity Jones and Eddie Redmayne’s big screen reunion and delightful friendship; while rising star Ella Balinska proves why she’s the latest British export to make Hollywood take note.
Lastly, Lena Waithe writes her first ever piece for a magazine. Lena – the most dazzlingly talented film and TV maker, who is fast becoming an icon in the queer community – came to visit me earlier this year to talk race, sexuality and how she is bringing a whole new generation of creatives up in Hollywood. Her energy was incredible, and her new film, Queen & Slim, is a must-see. As a gay woman of colour at the top of the entertainment industry, she is a fantastic role model for our times.

BREAKING! Amber Guyger found guilty of murder at trial in fatal shooting of neighbor Botham Jean!
Former Dallas police officer Amber Guyger was found guilty of murder on Tuesday for fatally shooting her neighbor, Botham Jean, after thinking he was an intruder when she mistakenly entered his apartment.
Guyger, who has been out on a $300,000 bond, faces a maximum of life in prison. She was not immediately taken into custody and is awaiting sentencing scheduled for later Tuesday afternoon.
There was an audible cry in the courtroom as state District Judge Tammy Kemp read the jury's decision.
The jury was tasked with deciding whether or not Guyger, 31, acted reasonably when she used deadly force, and if the prosecution had proven beyond a reasonable doubt that she intentionally killed Jean or if a lesser charge of manslaughter, which involves reckless conduct, was warranted.

Deliberations began Monday afternoon after a weeklong trial, which included the playing of the 911 call that Guyger made after shooting Jean and dramatic bodycam video from officers who responded to the scene.
Guyger was off-duty but in uniform when she shot twice at Jean on Sept. 6, 2018, just before 10 p.m., striking him in the chest. She had worked a 13-1/2-hour shift on the Dallas Police Department's crime response team that day and parked on the fourth floor of the complex's garage.
She lived on the third floor, and Jean, a 26-year-old accountant and native of the island nation of St. Lucia, lived directly above her. The two did not know eac
Prosecutors said Jean was watching television and eating ice cream in his living room when Guyger burst inside, likely scaring him. The trajectory of the bullet showed that he was either getting up from his couch or cowering when Guyger fired her service weapon, they added.
The fatal shooting, which has led to one of the most anticipated murder trials in Dallas in decades, became a flashpoint on issues of police use of force and racial bias. Guyger is white and Jean was black, and the Jean family has questioned whether Guyger would have shot him if he were a different race.

Testifying in her own defense last week, Guyger told jurors that she was scared for her life when she entered an apartment that she thought was hers and the man inside began coming toward her and yelling, "Hey! Hey! Hey!"

"I never wanted to take an innocent person's life. I'm so sorry," Guyger said on the stand. "This is not about hate — it's about being scared."
Guyger admitted to giving Jean minimal lifesaving aid because she had only one hand free while she called 911 and her state of mind was frantic.
Guyger, who was on the Dallas police force for more than four years, was fired from her job following the shooting. Toxicology results presented at trial showed she was not intoxicated during the shooting.
The defense brought on other tenants from the same apartment complex who testified that they also had parked on a different floor and gone to the wrong unit by mistake.

Guyger's attorneys also downplayed that she had been sharing sexually explicit text messages with her work partner and was on the phone with him just before the shooting, which was revealed during the opening of the trial.
Prosecutors used those messages to make the case that Guyger was not as fatigued that day as the defense had claimed, and that Guyger intended to see her partner later that night.

They also said Guyger was at fault for missing several clues that she was on the wrong floor and went to the wrong apartment, including a red doormat that Jean's apartment had and hers did not.

JUSTICE IS SERVED!

#RHOA: Shamari DeVoe Denies Getting Fired From Real Housewives Of Atlanta!
When the explosive trailer for Season 12 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta trailer dropped, there was one glaring absence amongst Bravo’s favorite Georgia Peaches: last season’s newbie Shamari DeVoe.
While fans were quick to assume that the Season 11 rookie had been fired in favor of Kenya Moore‘s return to the franchise, Shamari took to social media to claim otherwise.
“I was not ‘fired’, sweet face,” the famously open musician tweeted in response to a fan asking why she had been fired from the show. “I chose not to return due to personal reasons. ‘The sun sets and rises when it’s ready…'”

Shamari joined RHOA during Season 11 as a longtime friend of Kandi Burruss, with both women coming up in the music industry as members of ’90s girl groups Blaque and Xscape, respectively. From the jump, the newbie shocked her fellow ‘Wives with her open nature and hard-partying ways. (At her first all-cast event, Shamari revealed she and her husband, New Edition singer Ronnie DeVoe, had experimented with an open relationship.)

Throughout the season, the singer butted heads multiple times with perennial Friend of the Housewives Marlo Hampton over her outdated fashion choices . She clashed with Porsha Williams over accusations of shade on the cast’s trip to Destin, Florida. At the Season 11 reunion, she also tussled with Eva Marcille over vomiting on the America’s Next Top Model winner’s shoes while drunk. (Remember that $70 Zara gift card?)

While Shamari may be headed the way of fellow ATL one-season wonders like Kim Fields, Claudia Jordan and alleged fraudster DeShawn Snow, it appears that she’s walking away from the show on good terms. Following the Season 12 announcement, she even tweeted out a sweet comment about the glam new cast photo, writing, “Puuuuuuuuuuussssssh all the way through!” in support of her former cast mates.
One thing’s for certain though. Even if Shamari is no longer holding a peach, she will always and forever have been “an A-list while you was an alias!” So boom that like an 808.

#Empire: TV Ratings: ‘Empire’ Returns with Low Ratings!
“This Is Us” may have returned empty handed from the Emmys, but the NBC smash hit hasn’t lost its place atop the ratings charts.

The season 4 premiere scored a 1.8 rating in the 18-49 demographic and around 7.7 million total viewers on Tuesday night, comfortably winning the night and almost matching the rating put up by the season 3 finale. However, in less positive news for NBC, that figure is down roughly 40% on last season’s premiere. For comparison, the show fell 24% between its season 2 and season 3 premiere.

Elsewhere, “Empire” returned sans Jussie Smollett to a series low 1.0 rating on Fox and 3.4 million total viewers. That is also the lowest total viewership for the show in its five season run to date. “The Resident” returned roughly even on last season’s finale at a 0.8 rating and 4 million total viewers, a decent performance considering it lost its “9-1-1” lead-in from last season.

#HipHopNews: 50 Cent Says Eminem's Working On A New Album!
Eminem is currently crafting a new album, according to 50 Cent. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the G-Unit head honcho confirmed he’s working on a song for Slim Shady’s next LP.
50 was speaking to THR to promote his hit series Power, which is in the middle of its final season, and discuss the show’s spinoff Power Book 2: Ghost. He mentioned his contribution to Eminem’s album after reflecting on their most recent collaboration: Ed Sheeran’s “Remember The Name” single

“I got another record from Em he sent for his new album,” 50 said around the seven-minute mark.
50 previously mentioned working with Eminem on a new song during an appearance on Real 92.3 in Los Angeles. While he didn’t explicitly say the track was for Slim Shady’s next LP, he appeared to acknowledge it was when radio hosts Bootleg Kev and DJ Hed inquired about it.

“He sent me a record now, he working now,” 50 said about 29 minutes into the conversation. “He got some things, man. Still the highest rap-selling artist in the world.”
Eminem’s latest album, Kamikaze, unexpectedly dropped without any promotion in August 2018. Even producers involved in the project, such as Grammy Award winner S1, didn’t know it was being released when it did.

“I literally looked at my social media timeline and I saw somebody’s post say, ‘The Eminem album is out now,'” S1 told HipHopDX last year. “I said, ‘What?’ I had wind of it because they started asking to do paperwork on some joints and usually during that stage when you start doing paperwork, you know that the album is getting to a closing out point. But as far as the release, I had no idea. They kept that from … I guess they had to keep it really secret so it wouldn’t get out. They didn’t even tell us, the people that were working on the album. They kept it pretty private.”

50’s comments have, at the very least, put Eminem fans on alert for another album. But he’s not the only talking. Veteran radio host Big Boy recently revealed Em’s been back in the studio with Dr. Dre too.

If you were waiting for Beyoncé and Adele To Make new Music, Well it’s not happening!
when news dropped that Beyoncé and Adele were reportedly recording a song together, get ready to be very disappointed. Ryan Tedder, who is one of the biggest music producers in 2019, doesn’t seem to understand how fandoms work and set off The Beyhive with his attempt at a joke.

Tedder was with his band OneRepublic at the Global Citizen’s Festival this past weekend and spoke about the band’s upcoming album Human, set to be released in 2020. When asked about possible collaborations on the record, Tedder revealed that Beyoncé and Adele appeared on a song together and threw in Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, too, telling New York radio station Z100, “We have one song featuring Beyoncé and Adele with a Chris Martin piano solo in the bridge.”

We had always assumed that legally the two women weren’t allowed to be in a recording studio at the same time, much like how the president and vice president always have to fly separately in case one plane goes down and the other person has to take care of running the country. It looks like we were right, because it turns out that Tedder was being cheeky when responding to the question about collabs by listing off the names of the biggest artists in the world. Ha. Ha.

What really made this ‘joke’ a mean one was Tedder’s use of three people who we believe could easily work together. Funny? Taylor Swift hitting the studio with John Mayer. Not gonna happen. Not funny? Beyoncé, Adele and Chris Martin. It could happen. Beyoncé and Chris Martin have a long professional and personal history, with Bey and husband Jay-Z close friends of Chris and his ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow. Beyoncé appeared on Coldplay’s 2015 single “Hymn For The Weekend” and the pair shared the stage when Coldplay performed at the 2016 Super Bowl halftime show.

As for Adele and Beyoncé, both women can thank Tedder for helping to pen some of their biggest hits. Tedder worked with Beyoncé on her Grammy nominated 2008 song “Halo,” in 2011 on “I Was Here” and again in 2013 on “XO.” Tedder first teamed up with Adele in 2011 on her album 21, helping to write “Rumor Has It” and “Turning Tables,” with the pair joining forces again in 2015 on “Remedy,” with Tedder part of the Grammy-winning production team for Adele’s 25.

Which again begs the question, why would he do this to us? We know the two kweens have a long-standing stan-off, with the pair frequently taking turns gushing about one another. The most famous moment, of course, came when Adele won the Grammy for Album of the Year for 25 over Beyoncé’s Lemonade, with the British singer dedicating much of her acceptance speech to Queen Bey. Fingers crossed that these women take inspiration from Tedder’s fake collab chatter and hit the studio together, a duet that would immediately win every award available and beyond.

Mark Ronson Apologizes For 'Embarrassing' Remarks On Sapiosexuality!
After walking back controversial remarks he made in an interview last week, Mark Ronson is sapiosexual no more.
The seven-time Grammy winner told “Good Morning Britain” on Sept. 19 that he identifies as “sapiosexual,” a term he’d learned from one of the show’s previous guests that day. Psychology Today defines a sapiosexual person as one who “finds intelligence and the human mind to be the most sexually attractive feature for a potential sexual relationship.”

Ronson’s interview was framed by a number of media outlets, including Billboard, Us Weekly and Out, as a “coming out” moment, akin to someone publicly identifying as LGBTQ for the first time.

But the comments got a blistering reception on social media, with many accusing the musician ― who has collaborated with the likes of Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga ― of co-opting an LGBTQ-specific narrative. (It should be noted Ronson himself did not use the words “coming out.”)
In an interview with Rolling Stone on Wednesday, Ronson explained that he’d been misinformed about the meaning of sapiosexuality and that his words had been taken out of context.
“It sounds like I went on a TV show to be like, ‘Guys, I have some big news!’ And the fact that I would go on and sort of declare myself — like as a heterosexual white male — part of any marginalized community was terrifying to me, or just embarrassing,” he said.

“I do not consider myself part of any marginalized community,” he continued, “and I apologize if anybody misunderstood or took offense to it.”
The 44-year-old, who was previously married to French model Joséphine de La Baume, also said he’d been hopeful the controversy would blow over after viewers saw the interview for themselves and understood his remarks were intended, to some extent, in jest.

“But that’s not what happens on Twitter anymore,” he said. According to a 2017 New York Times article, the term “sapiosexuality” appears to have been coined in 1998. It gained wider usage in the earlier part of this decade, and in 2014, the dating app OKCupid began including it on its list of options for gender and sexuality.

However, the concept has been a consistent source of controversy. Some critics have gone so far as to brand the term ableist in that it promotes the idea of choosing a partner based on class and a narrow definition of intelligence.

Ray Lewis And Cheryl Burke Withdraw From ‘Dancing With The Stars’!
Dancing With the Stars contestants Ray Lewis and Cheryl Burke are hanging up their dancing shoes.

Lewis said on Monday night’s episode he was dropping out of ABC’s reality dance competition after exacerbating a previous foot injury.
“This is probably one of the hardest decisions of my life. But right now, I gotta make sure that I don’t damage something enough to where I can’t walk,” he explained.
Burke took to Instagram to praise Lewis for his hard work and to wish him well.

“Dancing with Ray has meant so much to me. His positivity and dedication are admirable, and his smile is contagious,” she captioned a photo of the two. “Unfortunately, due to injuries he sustained to his foot, our journey to the mirror ball ends tonight. Ray, I wish you a safe and speedy recovery and look forward to seeing you do the squirrel dance again very soon.”
Last week, NFL star Lewis and ballroom dancing champion Burke found themselves as one of the two bottom couples. The judges ended up saving them and instead sent home legendary Supremes singer Mary Wilson and pro Brandon Armstrong.
In the days leading up to the couple’s withdrawal, Lewis posted a photo on Instagram saying, “Make time for what matters. Take care of yourself. Mind, Body, and Spirit. #NoExcuses.” Meanwhile, Burke posted a photo with the caption, “Hair courtesy of @kelseygusto, glam courtesy of @crabichuk, deep thought courtesy of the upcoming live show. #DWTS.”

The posts may have been a vague hint that the two would not make it to the end of the ABC ballroom competition.

Shawn Mendes Hints That Camila Cabello Wasn't Into Dating Him At First!
The Mendes Army makes sure they go for the hard-hitting (but tactful) questions during their Q&A with Shawn Mendes in conjunction with the pop heartthrob's world tour.

During his recent session in Shanghai on Saturday (September 28), Mendes, 21, was asked relationship advice and offered some insight into his current romance with Camila Cabello, 22. "Have you ever loved someone who doesn't love you and what would you do?" the fan asked, to which Mendes immediately agreed and offered his explanation. "Well, if I told you the whole story of Camila, it would take a long time. I would say that you have to fight for someone you really love and, if you really truly love them, then you'll get them."
Mendes went on to admit that "it just takes time," so he advised that the fan figures out if the emotion for the person is worth the wait. "Make sure you really love him or her. You just gotta make sure," he added.

Despite their public romance, Cabello has revealed that she wants to remain tight-lipped about the coupling, as per her cover story for Elle magazine. Asked if she thought that their secrecy created more buzz around the two, the Fifth Harmony alum replied with uncertainty. "I don't know; people can say whatever they want to say," she said. "They can speculate, but at the same time, we are going to live our own lives, enjoy it, and fall for each other like nobody is watching. That is how I want to live. I never want to open the door for people to feel like they are involved. Like I said, I want it to be mine and [his]. That's why I'm so tight-lipped about it: because I want to protect it."

Lil Nas X Says He Prayed Being Gay Was ‘a Phase’ When He Was Younger!
Lil Nas X — the viral rapper who shot to fame with “Old Town Road” — sat down for an interview with Gayle King on CBS This Morning to discuss coming to terms with his sexuality. The 20-year-old artist from Lithia Springs, Georgia, officially came out as gay in his song “c7osure,” released in June (Pride Month) as part of his debut LP 7.

In the interview, Lil Nas X describes knowing that he was gay from a young age and “praying…that it was, like, a phase…That it would go away,” alluding to the hardships he would have faced if he had been out. When King asks if he thinks his coming out will help other kids going through the same struggles, he responds, “I think it’s gonna always help, you know. We still have a long way to go, because it’s not like everybody is messing with me now…But I do believe it’s helping.”

As part of the CBS This Morning segment, Lil Nas X also visited his former high school in Atlanta, where he was greeted by throngs of teenage fans.
In other Lil Nas X news, he may have a collaboration with Fiona Apple in his future. After Apple posted a video in which the singer lightly jabbed at the rapper for sampling her song “Every Single Night” — on the pre-“Old Town Road” track “Kim Jong” last year — without asking her permission, he responded on Twitter by suggesting a collaboration. Monday, Apple responded with yet another video message, saying, “I would love that!”

Debbie Harry Memoir Bombshells: Flashed by David Bowie, Ted Bundy Escape, Rape and Heroin
Music!
Debbie Harry has seen her fair share of sex, drugs and rock n' roll as the lead singer of Blondie, the pioneering band that formed in 1974.
And the darling of the New York City new wave punk movement, now 74 years old, details her life, filled with fascinating and often shocking anecdotes, in the new memoir "Face It", due out on Tuesday.
Harry, who hit it big with songs like "Heart of Glass" and "Call Me", shares stories of snorting heroin, surviving a home-invasion rape, meeting a musical legend in all his glory, and narrowly escaping a notorious serial killer.
Here are the biggest bombshells, revelations and takeaways.

David Bowie Whipped It Out
In 1977, Blondie was touring with David Bowie and Iggy Pop. One night, Harry wrote, the two iconic musicians were looking for cocaine. "Their connection in New York had suddenly died and they were out. A friend had given me a gram but I had barely touched it. I didn't care for coke too much — it made me jittery and wired and it affected my throat. So I went upstairs with my vast quantity of cocaine and they just sucked it right up in one swoop," she shared according to Page Six.
In appreciation, Bowie then took out his penis for an impromptu show-and-tell.
"After they did the blow, David pulled out his c--k, as if I were the official c--k-checker or something. Since I was in an all-male band, maybe they figured I really was the c--k-check lady. David's size was notorious, of course, and he loved to pull it out with both men and women. It was so funny, adorable and sexy."

Hitchhiking With Ted Bundy
En route to a party for the New York Dolls in the late 70s, Harry said she took a ride from a "handsome man" in a small white car. Once inside the car, she noticed a strong body odor from the driver and the window locked, with only a crack open. Harry sensed danger and opened the door from the outside and was thrown from the vehicle after the driver took a sharp turn.

After reading a story years later, Harry said she realized it was Ted Bundy, who was arrested in 1978 and confessed to over 30 homicides. The article described "the modus operandi (of) how he got his victims and it matched exactly what happened to me. The hairs on the back of my neck stood up," she wrote.
However, experts have since cast doubt on Harry's claim, providing facts that make her story impossible. "My story has been debunked since because Bundy is said to have been in Florida at the time and not NYC. But it was him," she maintained.

Raped At Knife-Point By Burglar
When she was living with her boyfriend, Blondie guitarist Chris Stein, in New York in the 1970s, an intruder broke in their apartment and tied the couple up, according to The Sun.
"He piled up the guitars and Chris’s camera and then he untied my hands and told me to take off my pants. He f--ked me. And then he said, 'Go clean yourself.'
But the robbery was more damaging than the sexual assault. "I'm very glad this happened pre-AIDS or I might have freaked. In the end, the stolen guitars hurt me more than the rape. We had no equipment," she wrote.

Sneaking Heroin To Her Bedridden Boyfriend
Stein was diagnosed with an auto-immune disease called pemphigus vulgaris in 1983 and had to stay in a hospital for three months. During that time, Harry would ease his discomfort with her own remedy. "I kept him supplied with heroin," she detailed. "He was on heroin the whole time he was in the hospital. It kept him relatively pain-free and mentally less tortured."

And she would keep herself on the same treatment. "I was most certainly indulging, too, staying as numb as possible."
She also recalled her first time trying the drug, per Fox News.
"The first time I had done heroin was with Gil Fields, my boyfriend at the time and the drummer in my first band, The Wind In The Willows. I remember his tapping out this tiny little line of grey powder. And we snorted it up. And I felt a kind of rush I'd never felt before. I thought 'Oh, this is so nice, so relaxing. Aah, I don't have to think about things.' It was so delicious and delightful," she shared.

Phil Spector Shoved a Gun in Her Thigh-High Boots
After one of their shows in Los Angeles, Blondie was invited back to the mansion of Phil Specter, the famous music producer who is currently serving time in prison for fatally shooting an actress in 2003. Her boyfriend at the time "remembers Phil greeting us with a Colt .45 in one hand and a bottle of Manischewitz (wine) in the other."

"Then he started playing the piano. He wanted me to sit on the bench next to him and sing "Be My Baby" and some Ronettes songs with him. He kept making me sing and sing. I didn’t want to, because I had so many shows, but Phil was in his zone and was not to be denied," she continued.

"Phil took out his gun, stuck it into the top of my thigh-high leather boot, and said, 'Bang, bang!'" wrote Harry. "He was a genius, he had a gun and his paranoia was enormous... That doesn't always end well."

"Face It" is available October 1st.

Aretha Franklin's Family Drags Clive Davis Into Estate Battle!
Aretha Franklin’s family is battling in court for control of her estate and record exec Clive Davis is being dragged into it.
According to court documents the personal representative of Aretha’s estate, Sabrina Owens, has filed a witness list. She is set to face off against the late singer’s sons, who are trying to remove her handing the estate.

Owens plans on calling several of Aretha’s representatives from her talent agencies. She lists the head of Swanson Funeral Home and several Chase bank employees. She wants to call multiple lawyers who worked for Aretha and she even lists record executive Clive Davis.
She believes Davis will be able to testify in court on Aretha’s business matters and music royalties.

Clive and Aretha had a decades long relationship and he executive produced several of her biggest records. The battle is between Owens and Fraklin’s son, Kecalf Franklin. Earlier this year, Kecalf Franklin went to court to file docs seeking to take complete control of Aretha’s estate and sought for Owens to be removed ASAP.
He accused her of mismanaging the estate and failing to perform her duties. Kecalf requested the judge appoint him as the successor and allow him to completely manage all aspects of Franklin’s business.

Kecalf claimed Owens has failed to provide the heirs any accounting or inventory of his mother’s property and assets. He wants to a full list of her jewelry, masters, Grammys, gold records and other awards.

He called Owens out for not communicating about the new business deals being negotiated. Kecalf claimed to know nothing about the announced television show Genius and the scheduled MGM biopic about Aretha’s life.
The heir even claimed they have been given no information about the investigation of her music catalog worth or the investigation of forgery of her checks. He also wants information about the audits being done on her IRS tax returns from 2012 – 2018.

Owens fired back denying Kecalf’s allegations she has left the heirs in the dark. She claims to be handling all responsibilities of the estate on time and properly.
She said inventory hasn’t been done yet but blamed the heirs for delays. Owens was adamant Kecalf and the other siblings have been updated constantly about the business affairs.
Owens also revealed since police did not press charges over alleged stolen property of Franklins, the estate is preparing a civil lawsuit. She asked the court to deny all requests by Kecalf and keep her on.

Recently, Kecalf went to court accusing the personal representative of the estate of failing to tell him or his siblings about a variety of issues.
