Brad Pitt for GQ Australia August 2019
Brad Pitt proved he’s looking better than ever at the age of 55 when he posed for the cover of GQ Australia‘s July/August issue and he revealed some interesting opinions about the difference between acting as a younger man and acting as an older man. In the eye-catching cover pic, Brad is posing in a brown jacket over a tan T-shirt that’s over a white long-sleeved shirt and black pants. He’s giving a slight smile to the camera as he flaunts his attractive blue eyes.
His interview for the magazine was just as enticing as his photos for it and one of the most surprising parts was Brad talking about how he’s progressing in the acting and producing world. “I’m behind the camera on the producing side and I enjoy that a lot. But I keep doing less and less,” he admitted in the interview. “I really believe that overall it’s a younger man’s game – not that there aren’t substantial parts for older characters. I just feel, the game itself, it’ll move on naturally. There will be a natural selection to it all.”
Brad is known as an actor first but he’s also the owner of Plan B Entertainment and has spent the past few years producing behind the camera. Some of the many films he’s produced over the years includes The Departed, Moneyball, and Eat Pray Love. His new film Once Upon a Time in Hollywood which he stars in with Leonardo DiCaprio comes out on July 26 and his other film Ad Astra, in which he plays an astronaut, comes out in Sept.
The issue of GQ Australia which Brad appears on the cover of hits newsstands on July 8
#RHOA: OOOPS, The Ex’s of Kenya Moore and Cynthia Bailey’s Exes Have Been ‘Slapped’ with a Lawsuit!
A $25,000 lawsuit has been levied against the exes of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” stars Kenya Moore and Cynthia Bailey as a limo driver says he was assaulted at a nightclub.
The litigation filed by Anthony T. Greene lists Matt Jordan, who once dated Moore, and Peter Thomas, who was married to Bailey, as defendants according to documents obtained by Bossip. Also being sued is True Entertainment, which is responsible for producing “RHOA.”
Greene, who resides in North Carolina, states in the filing that he was hired to drive Moore and then-boyfriend Jordan around Charlotte, North Carolina, in 2016. Thomas was preparing to open Club One at the time, and Moore was set to host the event.
The filing states that something Jordan did upset Moore. Then, after Thomas paid for the couple’s flight from Atlanta to Charlotte, the “RHOA” star convinced the entrepreneur to cancel her boyfriend’s ticket. However, according to the suit, Jordan didn’t learn about the change until the last minute and that fired him up. He hopped in a car and took the three-and-a-half-hour trip to go to the club opening.
As Moore waited inside the limo outside the venue, Greene alleges Jordan drove up and blocked Greene from moving. Further, the chauffeur says Jordan reached inside the vehicle and pulled the door open before hitting him in the face. Greene says that while he was hurt and alarmed, producers of “RHOA” persuaded him not to call authorities. Thus, Greene hesitantly returned to work.
However, the chauffeur claims the following day, he headed to the hospital where he was diagnosed with a concussion. Greene’s suit also claims he’s suffered such harmful emotional distress, humiliation and mental anguish that he had to seek psychiatric treatment.
Neither Thomas or Jordan have publicly reacted to the litigation. Additionally, Bossip reports that neither they nor the “RHOA” production company has filed responses.
However, the incident Greene described in his filing was documented on “RHOA” during season 9.
“Matt just went over and punched the driver in the face,” Thomas tells his then-wife and club attendees as he leads Moore back inside.
Thomas stepped out to give Jordan a call outside and the fitness trainer explained his side of the story.
“So, I walk up to the driver to look in to be like, ‘Kenya, let me talk to you,'” Jordan says. “He rolls my neck up in the window so I slap that b—h ass n—a in the face.”
While Jordan’s violent outbursts were documented on the Bravo reality show, Greene said in his suit that he’s never seen an episode and was unaware of Jordan’s actions against Moore. One case that season saw Jordan break the windows of the TV star’s garage. Yet Greene asserts that the production crew knew about Jordan’s hostility and failed to inform him or provide any assurance of his safety.
In addition to $25,000, Green is seeking punitive damages and requests his lawyer’s fees are paid.
#Empire: Jussie Smollett attorneys argue for Chicago lawsuit to be moved to federal court
Jussie Smollett wants the lawsuit that the city of Chicago filed against him moved from state court to federal court.
His lawyers argue that would be the proper venue since the actor is a California resident.
Chicago police said that Smollett staged an attack on himself last January in Chicago's Streeterville neighborhood. The city is suing to recover the cost of the investigation.
Jussie Smollett case: Timeline of key moments in alleged attack on 'Empire' actor
"Empire" actor and R&B singer Jussie Smollett told Chicago police in January that two men physically attacked him and yelled racial and homophobic slurs. There have been dozens of
Police and prosecutors said Smollett orchestrated the attack with the help of two brothers. One brother was an extra on "Empire" and the other was Smollett's personal trainer.
All charges against Smollett were dropped in late February in exchange for community service and forfeiture of his $10,000 bond payment.
A Cook County judge ruled last month to appoint a special prosecutor in the case. The judge questioned Cook County State's Attorney Kim Foxx's decision to appoint a deputy to oversee the Smollett case, with the judge saying she did not have the authority to do so.
Also last month, Chicago police released nearly 70 hours of video connected to the Smollett case.

#HipHopNews: Chris Brown And Drake Shoot ‘No Guidance’ Video
Chris Brown and Drake went in front of the camera to shoot a video for “No Guidance.”
The superstars were in Miami this week where they filmed scenes for their hit Indigo collaboration. Some footage was shared on social media, including one video outside the entrance to Papi Steak in the South of Fifth neighborhood. One witness described a “crowd of women in neon bathing suits” with “multiple luxury cars.”
“Rumor has it that Chris Brown and, more importantly, DRAKE are filming their music video in the building where I work,” tweeted the eyewitness. “Doing further research. Stay tuned for updates.”
After the shoot, Chris and Drake were spotted partying at Miami hotspot Mr. Jones around 1 a.m. According to Page Six, they held court at separate VIP tables while surrounded by beautiful women and ran up a $10,000 liquor bill. At one point, Brown “came by Drake’s table to say hello for a quick minute,” and then returned to his own section, says an insider.
When the DJ played “No Guidance,” they “mouthed their lyrics enthusiastically along with the crowd,” added the source.
“No Guidance” continues to burn up the charts. The song is currently No. 9 on the Hot 100 and has sold a reported 500,000 units in the U.S.
Halle Bailey cast as Ariel in Disney's live-action remake of 'The Little Mermaid'
Singer Halle Bailey has been cast in Disney's upcoming live-action remake of "The Little Mermaid," the first time the studio has cast a woman of color in the role of a traditionally white princess character for one of its new remakes.
Walt Disney Studios announced the casting decision Wednesday, to the delight of many fans on social media. Bailey, 19, and her sister Chloe, 21, make up the singing duo Chloe x Halle, who began their career covering songs on YouTube.
The sisters opened up for BeyoncΓ© in 2017 for part of her Formation World Tour and released their first studio album, "The Kids Are Alright," last year.
Bailey tweeted about the news Wednesday and called the casting a "dream come true."
The film, expected to be released in 2020, is directed by Rob Marshall and will include new music from Alan Menken and Lin-Manuel Miranda.
"After an extensive search, it was abundantly clear that Halle possesses that rare combination of spirit, heart, youth, innocence, and substance—plus a glorious singing voice—all intrinsic qualities necessary to play this iconic role,” Marshall said.
Social media was generally positive about the casting, with many noting the importance of seeing a woman of color in the role.
"Halle Bailey, a Black teens who wears locs, being cast as a Disney princess is what dreams are made of. Imagine what just seeing her onscreen will do for this generation of Black girls," culture writer Evette Dionne tweeted.
Disney has recently invested in live-action remakes for a number of its classic films, including "Aladdin," "The Lion King," and "Beauty and the Beast." Bailey's role is the first time a woman of color has been cast in the new generation of films for a human-princess role that has traditionally been portrayed by a white woman.
The most notable instance of a woman of color playing a white princess was in 1997, when singer Brandy Norwood played the title role of "Cinderella" which aired as part of the "The Wonderful World Of Disney" made for television film series.
Whitney Houston was also in the 1997 film in the role of the Fairy Godmother.
"if halle as ariel becomes the next brandy as cinderella i might just cry," one Twitter user wrote.
No other casting for "The Little Mermaid" live-action has been announced, but Variety reported last week that actress Melissa McCarthy was in early talks for the role of Ursula.
A 6.4 magnitude earthquake rattles Southern California!
A 6.4-magnitude earthquake centered in Ridgecrest shook parts of Southern California, including the Coachella Valley and the L.A. basin, Thursday morning, damaging roads and buildings, according to fire officials.
The United States Geological Survey reported that the quake was centered 11 miles from Ridgecrest — about 120 miles east of Bakersfield — at 10:33 a.m. The agency originally reported a magnitude of 6.6, but later scaled it down to 6.4.
There were more than 80 aftershocks, ranging from 3.0 to 4.7 in magnitude, within the first three hours following the quake, the USGS reported.
Kern County Fire Chief David Witt in a news conference said their immediate focus was the city of Ridgecrest, where there emergency officials are responding to at least two house fires, a small vegetation fire, downed power lines and gas leaks. "There are more calls than we have people," Witt said, adding that he expects local officials will get more assistance in the coming hours.
Minor injuries were reported and some structural damage, including buildings with the glass blown out as well as downed grocery store shelves, according to Witt.
Officials also confirmed an evacuation of Ridgecrest Regional Hospital was underway, and the Kern County Sheriff's Office said on Instagram that "several apartment buildings are being evacuated."
Two temporary shelters in Ridgecrest were set up for residents: Wal-Mart at 201 E. Bowman Rd and the Kerr McGee Center at 100 W. California Ave.
In an Instagram video, the Kern County Sheriff's Office posted video from a helicopter as it scanned for significant damage.
A leading expert said more quakes, possibly big, are expected throughout the day.
Dr. Lucy Jones, a seismologist and founder of the Dr. Lucy Jones Center for Science & Society, estimated during a press conference that there's a 50 percent chance of an aftershock exceeding a magnitude of 5.0 later on Thursday afternoon.
"It’s certain this area is going to be shaken a lot today," Jones said. "Some of those aftershocks will exceed magnitude five."
The last time Southern California had an earthquake greater than magnitude 6.0 was in October 1999. The magnitude-7.1 quake was centered about 30 miles north of Joshua Tree National Park headquarters and was felt in Nevada, Arizona and Mexico.
In 1994, a 6.7 magnitude earthquake shook the San Fernando Valley north of Los Angeles, killing more than 50 and injuring thousands. The initial quake was followed by thousands of aftershocks, two of which were of 6.0 magnitude.
"This would be a good time to remind you if you have been experiencing earthquakes for the last 20 years in Southern California you have been experiencing an extremely quiet time in California history," Jones said.
Authorities across Southern California warned residents not to call 911 with earthquake-related questions unless they were calling to report injuries or other dangerous situations.
The San Bernardino County Fire Department reported multiple buildings with minor cracks and broken water mains, downed power lines and rock slides blocking some roads. No fires were reported.
The San Bernardino Sheriff's Department received reports of a crack on Highway 178 in Searles Valley where the earthquake was centered, according to spokesperson Jeff Allison. An airship was dispatched to the location of the reported crack.
Allison said the sheriff's department responded to five home alarms that went off after the earthquake. There are currently no reports of damage in that area.
The Ventura County Fire Department reported that its resources were available and had not been affected, and that firefighters were surveying the county for any damage.
A 4.2-magnitude quake reported in the area about half an hour before by the USGS was described as foreshock by Jones on her Twitter account.
Jones later said on Twitter that the quake was on a "strikeslip fault about 10 miles from Ridgecrest" and not the San Andreas fault. She said it is an area with "a lot of little faults but no long fault."
The Fourth of July quake stoked fears of the "Big One" across social media. The quake was felt as far as Los Angeles. Social media erupted with questions, others posted videos and photos of house items swaying during the shake
Miami Dolphins Player Kendrick Norton Injured In Car Crash, Has Arm Amputated
Miami Dolphins defensive tackle Kendrick Norton was involved in a car wreck in Florida overnight Thursday, and although he is expected to live, his injuries are serious.
The team wouldn’t elaborate beyond a statement mentioning that Norton was in the hospital, but Omar Kelly of the Sun-Sentinel reported that the NFL player had to have his left arm amputated at the scene of the crash. Norton’s agent, Malki Kawa, confirmed the news:
According to the Miami Herald, Norton’s vehicle was cut off and rolled over near the intersection of Dolphin Expressway and Palmetto Expressway.
Norton, who played college football for the Miami Hurricanes, was drafted by the Carolina Panthers in the seventh round of the 2018 draft. The Dolphins signed him to their roster last December.

British Singer Joss Stone Says She Was Kicked Out of Iran During World Tour: 'I Was Gutted'
Singer Joss Stone says she ran into trouble in the home stretch of her five-year, 200-stop world tour, which was planned to recently conclude in Iran.
Instead, the 32-year-old British performer shared on Instagram on Wednesday that she was detained when she entered the Iranian island Kish and was subsequently deported from the country without being able to perform.
She explained the situation in an Instagram video and lengthy caption, saying it was apparently due to lack of paperwork on her part.
However, she also noted that she believed she was stopped because Iranian officials thought she would try and give a public performance, which is illegal for women to do.
According to the BBC, citing state media, Iran said Stone lacked the necessary papers to enter the country when she arrived on Saturday, and she was deported to the United Arab Emirates. State officials said she was not arrested, though Stone wrote of being escorted to a “jail cell.”
“They were so kind to us,” she wrote of the officials she dealt with in Iran. “These people are genuinely nice kind people” who “felt bad” they couldn’t give her an exception, she wrote.
“We were the ones that should have been apologising for not having our correct paper work,” she wrote. The officials wanted her to “sort it all out” with the embassy and return, she wrote.
Iranian officials in Washington, D.C., did not immediately respond to a request for comment. A rep for Stone could not be reached.
Stone began her post by noting she would not have tried to give a public performance in the first place.
“Personally I don’t fancy going to an Iranian prison nor am I trying to change the politics of the countries I visit nor do I wish to put other people in danger,” the singer wrote.
“However, it seems the authority’s don’t believe we wouldn’t be playing a public show so they have popped us on what they call the ‘black list ‘ as we found out when we turned up to the immigration hall,” she continued. “After long discussions with the most friendly charming and welcoming immigration people the decision was made to detain us for the night and to deport us in the morning.”
Stone wrote that she felt “gutted” by the decision: “[It] broke a little piece of my heart.”
“I told them my story and explained my mission, to bring good feeling with what I have to give and show those who want to look, the positives of our globe,” she wrote. “All with the understanding that public performance wasn’t an option in this scenario. I still have to walk forward towards that goal some way some how. And of course music is my driver.”
Since 2014, Stone has been on a world tour with the intention of performing in every country.
She even illegally crossed the Syrian border to perform there in March, which she noted was a “scary” experience afterwards.

Kanye West reportedly wants a reality show based on his Sunday Service and wants Mother in Law Kris Jenner to get on board!
According to Radar Online, Mr. West is in the process of creating a reality show based on his Sunday Service. According to their source, West wants his show to air right before Keeping Up With the Kardashians.
"Kanye is legit trying to sell a show that is based on his Sunday sermons and he is trying to get Kim's mother Kris on board to help launch it," a source revealed to the news outlet. "He wants the show to air on Sunday's right before Keeping Up With the Kardashians and he's been telling people that this has been his goal ever since he came up with the idea for Sunday services."
Although his wife Kim Kardashian West is on board, momager Kris Jenner is hesitant. The mom of six is worried that she will have a hard time selling the idea to the network. Jenner is aware that religion is a sensitive topic.
"Kris is having a hard time buying this and she knows that she is going to have a hard time selling it too," the insider said. "Kris was weary about mixing religion with business. Because Kanye's show is religion-based, Kris does not know if she even wants to go there and she has told him this."
The insider also revealed that the Chicago rapper is in the process of making a documentary and working on an album. The album will go hand in hand with the gospel sung at his services. This isn't the first time that West has mentioned working on a gospel album. Back in 2016, the 42-year-old rapper released The Life of Pablo, which he dubbed a gospel album.
