#RHoA: So After Cynthia Bailey Tried To Get Kenya Moore Back On ‘RHoA’ and Miss NeNe Leakes Feels ‘Betrayed’?
What in the hell is wrong with NeNe? The Real Housewives of Atlanta star recently took to social media to call out a fake friend who was setting her up “for the kill.” Yikes! While fans and followers have been eager to figure out who NeNe was referencing, it looks like we may have our answer. According to Radar Online, a source close to the show can confirm that the backstabbing friend who NeNe can’t help but call out is none other than co-star Cynthia Bailey.

A RHoA source told Radar Online that NeNe was shocked to find out that Cynthia went straight to Bravo execs and “actively campaigned to get Kenya [Moore] back on the show.” Well then… sounds like a pretty pointed move to us. “NeNe feels totally betrayed by Cynthia,” the source explained. TBH, we get it. It wouldn’t be too fun to hear about one of your co-stars trying to ruin your gig. Plus, NeNe and Kenya aren’t each other’s biggest fans right now either. There are layers to this drama, guys!
NeNe apparently sent the tweet in question just after finding out about Cynthia’s shady move. “Have [you] ever had a close friend that was setting you up for the kill?” she wrote. “The gag is, you know it [though]! They however want EVERYBODY to think they are nice, pretty and supportive! But really they [are] insecure, not that pretty, not talented and certainly not nice! Their day is coming.”

Though initially fans and followers didn’t exactly know where NeNe was pointing her finger, it’s clear that she’s finally put a target on Cynthia’s back. It will definitely be interesting to see how things heat up between them in the future, but also if Kenya Moore will ever actually make a reappearance on RHOA for good. Imagine having those three women on the show together again? That might just be too much drama for one room!

#Empire Season 5 Recap Regaining Empire?
Lucious returns to the showcase and he is stunned. He wants to tell Cookie what’s happened but she tells him to wait until later because the show is almost over. The show is going wonderfully when Giselle shows up and says she is offering a co-partnership because she doesn’t trust Kingsley. “I’m also offering you the throne, with me as co-partner,” says Giselle. Cookie isn’t convinced. She would prefer to stick with their new business. Lucious is interested in his old baby, of course. He wants to reclaim the company they spent 20 years building.

Says Cookie, “We gotta choose between our future and our foundation?” She wants them to do it all be label and distributor for the artists. Lucious says they don’t have the bandwidth. Cookie then reaches into her designer purse and gives him a $5 million check from selling the condo. She’s ride-or-die. She sold her extra house. Lucious again tries to tell Cookie about the bonus child, Kingsley. Cookie says to wait until they get home, whatever it is. Lucious puts the condo check in his suit pocket.

So what happens next? Tune in March for the continuation of Season 5!

#Condolences: Trina Braxton's Ex-Husband Gabe Solis, Has Died After A Battle With Cancer at 43
Trina Braxton's ex-husband, Gabe Solis, has died after a battle with cancer ... Sources reveal Solis died Thursday in Texas, where he hails from, and we're told he was surrounded by friends and family.

Trina and Gabe wed in 2003 but divorced in 2015, and their on-again, off-again relationship was a frequent topic on the family's reality show -- "Braxton Family Values" -- even after they divorced.

The former couple also appeared on an episode of "Iyanla: Fix My Life" earlier this year -- more than 2 years after their split -- to hash out their issues and work on a plan to finally move on
In the episode, Gabe confronted Trina about her verbal abuse and bullying and let her know how it affected him during their marriage. Despite their rocky road ... the 2 remained close friends.

We're told Gabe's health issues were kept under wraps and his passing comes as a surprise to many close to the family.
Trina released a statement on her ex-husband's passing, saying ... "a chapter permanently closed for my sons and I. For over 16 years, Gabe Solis was an essential part of our lives."

She also apologized to friends and family who weren't aware of Gabe's situation and found out through the media ... specifically the Solis Family. Trina added ... "He was a father to my boys, a son, brother, and friend to many and I would appreciate privacy and respect as we grieve his unexpected departure."

He was 43.  RIP

In another photo, Oscar was fast asleep next to Baldwin with his paw right underneath his face.

The "Sorry" singer shared a picture on his Instagram Story of Oscar inside a little fenced-in area with his bed and a bowl of dog food and water sitting elegantly on a place mat. "Merry christmas from Oscar," he wrote.

One thing that will most definitely help her enjoy her life is her adorable new puppy.
Welcome to the family, Oscar!

Bravo’s Andy Cohen Is Expecting His First Baby Via Surrogate
Andy Cohen took a momentary break from all the drama on Watch What Happens Live to share some wonderful personal news: he is expecting his first child via surrogate in about six weeks! Cohen made the announcement in the most Bravo way possible — in front of Real Housewives Vicki Gunvalson, Ramona Singer, NeNe Leakes, Kyle Richards, and Teresa Giudice. The Bravo king wrapped up the final WWHL broadcast of 2018, which featured the OG cast members, by revealing the exciting news.

“I am so full of gratitude,” he started. “Tonight I want to share a little personal news of my own.” “I’ve always tried to be as transparent as possible about my life,” Cohen continued. “I over-share and I expect everyone around me to do the same. And tonight, I want you to be the first to know that after many years of careful deliberation, a fair amount of prayers and the benefit of science, if all goes according to plan, in about six weeks time, I’m going to become a father thanks to a wonderful surrogate who is carrying my future.” He added, “Family means everything to me and having one of my own is something I’ve wanted in my heart for my entire life, and though it has taken me longer than most to get there, I cannot wait for what I envision will be my most rewarding chapter yet.”

All our congrats to Cohen!

#BoxOfficeNews: Aquaman Drowns the Competition!
'Aquaman' DROWNS the competition with a $67.4 Million Debut!

The long Christmas weekend is underway. Performing almost exactly as expected, WB's release of Aquaman easily took the #1 spot at the weekend box office with an estimated $67.4 million over the course of the three-day weekend and a cume that now stands at $72.1 million once you include the $4.7 million in grosses from pre-weekend Amazon Prime showings. The film is now expected to deliver around $105 million over the course of its first five days, which ends on Christmas Day, routinely the busiest day at the box office all year. The film received an "A-" CinemaScore from opening day audiences and played to an opening weekend crowd that was 55% male and 58% aged 25 years or older.

Overall, the performance ranks as one of the top ten December openings of all-time, though it is sixth largest debut within WB's DC Extended Universe. That last note, however, will be an interesting stat to watch as Aquaman has enjoyed some of the best reviews of the franchise and audiences seem to be enjoying it to the tune of an 86% audience rating on RottenTomatoes.

Worldwide, the film is the #1 release at the global box office for the third week in a row, bringing in another $91.3 million overseas this weekend from 70 markets for an international cume that now stands at $410.7 million and a global tally totaling $482.8 million. Comparing to all overseas markets in release, WB reports Aquaman is tracking as the highest grossing film in the DC Universe (+22% higher than Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, +52% higher than Justice League and +86% ahead of Wonder Woman). The film's top market remains China with an impressive $232.8 million, which ranks as the seventh highest grossing imported title in the market all-time. The film also debuted in South Korea this weekend with $9.9 million along with openings in France ($6.2m), Germany ($4.2m), Spain ($2.8m) and Hong Kong ($2.7m). The film will open in Australia on December 26 followed by openings in Italy (Jan 1) and Japan (Feb 8).

Disney's Mary Poppins landed in second position for the three-day after opening on Wednesday. The film brought in an estimated $22.2 million over Friday-Sunday frame for a $31 million five-day cume. This is mostly what was expected heading into the weekend and while this may seem like a light performance this is a film that should play well throughout the holidays and into the new year. The film received strong reviews prior to opening — 65 on Metacritic 77% on RottenTomatoes — to go along with an "A-" CinemaScore from opening day crowds. Poppins's audience was 59% female with 61% of the opening weekend crowd coming in aged 25 years or older.

Internationally, Mary Poppins Returns delivered an estimated $20.3 million from its first 17 markets, including a #1 start in the UK with an estimated $9.4 million. Additional openings include Italy ($2.8m), France ($2m), Germany ($1.9m) and Spain ($1.4m). The film expands further next weekend, debuting in Mexico, Denmark, Finland, Norway and many more with early January openings set for Australia and Russia and February debuts set for Japan and South Korea.

Paramount's release of Bumblebee, the sixth film in the Transformers franchise, landed in third with an estimated $21 million as it too plays to expectations and should also enjoy a lengthy box office run thanks to strong reviews and an "A-" CinemaScore from opening day audiences. That being said, the only real question with this film, as well as Aquaman and Sony Animation's Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, is just how well all these films can play alongside one another and not cannibalize each other's potential box office as they play, mostly, to the same crowd. For now we're looking for Bumblebee to deliver a $32+ million five-day start.

Internationally, Bumblebee opened in 38 markets with an estimated $31.1 million led by $4.9 million openings in both Russia and Indonesia. Additional openings include Mexico ($3.9m), Australia ($2.8m), Malaysia ($2.6m), Germany ($1.8m), Thailand ($1.2m) and Singapore ($1.2m). The film will expand into 17 additional markets next week including France, UK, Brazil, Korea and Spain with a January 4 release set for China and a March 22 release planned for Japan.

Rihanna Confirms Her New Album Will Be Out in 2019
Rihanna attends her 4th Annual Diamond Ball at Cipriani Wall Street on Sept. 13, 2018 in New York City.

It's been almost three years since Rihanna fans have been graced with an album by the singer, and it looks as though the wait for a follow-up to Anti may soon be over.

On Friday (Dec. 21) she responded to a fan who commented on an Instagram post of a new Fenty product asking "But when is the album dropping Robyn? Can we have a release date for that?" with a simple "2019."
Her vocal producer Kuk Harrell teased the new album earlier this week, promising it's "incredible" and "amazing" before adding that "that's all I'm going to say."

8-year-old Congolese boy dies after undergoing surgery in Los Angeles to remove facial tumor
LOS ANGELES-- An 8-year-old boy who came to Los Angeles to have a massive tumor removed from his face died Friday night due to a rare genetic reaction to anesthesia, the Dikembe Mutombo Foundation said.

The foundation, which was created by retired NBA star Dikembe Mutombo, announced the news in an email Saturday morning.

Matadi Sela Petit arrived in Los Angeles with his father on Dec. 12 to undergo surgery to remove the growth from his face. The foundation and several other partners had sponsored the boy, who was born in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Before coming to the U.S., Matadi also had a cleft lip that was treated with help from the foundation.

During the surgery to remove the tumor, Matadi suffered a rare genetic reaction to the anesthesia. Despite the efforts of medical professionals, the boy never recovered and died.
"We are devastated by the loss of Matadi and our hearts go out to his father, his mother and the rest of his family, and all his old and new friends," the foundation said.

#govtshutdown US Senate adjourns through Christmas with government partially shut down
It's official: The government will be partially shut down through Christmas. Washington remains deeply divided and nowhere near a resolution of the shutdown that began early Saturday morning, with all sides now anticipating the impasse will continue into the first weeks of January.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell announced shortly after 3 p.m. Saturday that there is no deal, and the Senate is adjourned until Thursday, Dec. 27. The White House and Capitol Hill have made little progress towards finding a compromise -- President Trump is demanding $5 billion for his border wall, and Democrats insist they won't give him any of that funding. The government partially shut down at midnight Friday.

Mr. Trump will remain in town for Christmas. He was supposed to go to his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida.

The partial shutdown won't have much of an effect on holiday plans. The post office will stay open, so gift and holiday card stragglers can still put them in the mail. Transportation Security Administration (TSA) agents will still work, and air travel would continue virtually unaffected.

Government employees who are considered "essential," such as many Secret Service agents, Customs and Border Patrol agents and U.S. troops deployed at the border, will still be working. But a shutdown creates a risk for hundreds of thousands of federal workers: More than 420,000 federal employees would have to go to work without pay. More than 380,000 will be furloughed. Those who work will get paid eventually - and those furloughed likely will - but depending how long the shutdown lasts, they could miss a paycheck.

Funding that expired at midnight Saturday covers the Department of Homeland Security, the Justice Department, the State Department, the Interior Department, the Departure of Agriculture and the Department of Housing and Urban Development, among other federal entities.

Wendy Williams Apologizes After Slurring Speech On-Air
Wendy Williams has apologized after fans noticed some odd behavior Thursday on The Wendy Williams Show. Williams appeared to be slurring her words, prompting concern about her health. She later took to social media to apologize, saying the slurring could be attributed to pain medication she’s been taking for a fractured shoulder, as well as her thyroid condition.

To My Wendy Watchers, I sincerely apologize if you feel that today's show was less than stellar. I’m on your TV screens every day wanting to spread laughter, entertainment and cheer. As I reported earlier in the week, I have a hairline fracture on my upper arm, which hurts like hell. I’ve never broken a bone or experienced a fracture in my life. In the key place where the fracture is, and trying to scurry around and do too much, I am now paying the price. I've never taken a pain medication in my life (except when I got snatched over 20 years ago) until this week. I did that to power through and try to deliver a great show for you, against the better judgement of the many people around me who genuinely care for my well-being. I really do ride or die for my craft and give 200%. Not to mention everyone is aware at this point about my thyroid condition (don’t cry for me Argentina). For all my fellow thyroid sufferers, you know what the deal is. And for those that don’t: I encourage you to please read up. Needless to say, whatever today's performance was with the legendary The Lox, who said such nice things, I have no regrets and I appreciate everyone’s genuine concern for my wellness and care. I promise you a better Wendy in 2019. I will get some much needed rest and healing over these next couple of weeks. (Yes I am definitely juicing over the next couple of weeks). Sorry again. I love you all. Happy Holidays!

Williams’ health has prompted concern in the past. Earlier this year, her The Wendy Williams Show went on a three-week hiatus for Williams to focus on her health after she was diagnosed with Graves disease. She also had fainted on-air during her show’s Halloween episode on October 31. Williams said she became dehydrated and overheated because of the heavy Halloween costume she was wearing.

Referee Alan Maloney has a Racist History before he made HS Wrestler Cut Dreadlocks Before Match
Referee Alan Maloney told high school wrestler Andrew Johnson to cut off his dreadlocks before a match, but this isn't the first incident Maloney's had with racism.
During a high school wrestling match in New Jersey, a white referee stopped a young wrestler, Andrew Johnson of Buena High School, with a particularly fucked-up demand, telling Johnson to cut off his dreadlocks before starting his match.

According to Mike Frankel of South Jersey News, referee Alan Maloney refused to let Johnson wear a cap to cover his dreadlocks as provided by state rules, and as other wrestlers with long hair have. Johnson was left with the choice of either forfeiting the match, or cutting his hair. Johnson chose the latter and a trainer took a pair of scissors to his hair.
Despite the traumatic start to his match, Johnson pulled out an overtime victory and Buena won the match.
(This, by the way, is not the "epitome of a team player", this is the epitome of racism. Johnson is visibly upset after the win and barely wants to touch the ref's hand as he's declared the winner.)

New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association (NJSIAA) rules state "an assigned official will check each wrestler for proper hair grooming, facial hair and fingernail length" for safety on the mat. However, there are also rules specifying that wrestlers are permitted to use a "legal hair cover." For whatever reason, Maloney did not afford Johnson this option.
But, again, this wasn't the first time Maloney has been accused of racism. In late March of 2016, Maloney was at a post-wrestling-tournament party with other league officials and allegedly used a racial slur in a comment about homemade wine. Another official at the party slammed Maloney to the ground for using the slur, and they were both nearly suspended for the incident, but since it happened off the clock, nothing ever came of it.

At the time, Maloney said, per NJ.com: “It was two men, a group of guys, having fun and it was just a slip-up. If you can’t see past that, then I don’t know what to say. I made a mistake and I apologized for it. And it was accepted.”

Maloney might have gotten lucky by shrugging and sweeping this first incident under the rug, but given the national attention this story has already received, this one probably won't slip by so easily.

Nicki Minaj's New Boyfriend Gets Massive Tattoo Of Her Name: See The Ink
Nicki Minaj's new boyfriend, Kenneth "Zoo" Petty, is getting a lot of negative press for his troubled past, but the Young Money MC seems determined to push all the controversy to the side.

On Friday (December 21), Minaj took to Instagram to share a video of her man's first and only tattoo. It's a massive ode to the rapper's birth name, Onika, but his selection makes sense. After all, these two have known each other prior to her superstar fame. "Did ya tat hurt zaddy? his first tat - frontin like it didn't sting #Onika #HeavyOnIt #SuperSleezy," she captioned the clip.
Petty's big ink reveal comes after a string of controversial stories, including reports that he's a registered sex offender in New York, accused of using a "knife/cutting instrument (e.g. ax, ice pick, screwdriver, switchblade, Kung Fu stars, cane sword, etc.)" during an attempted rape and that's just the tip of the iceberg. Despite his reported 12 arrests, Minaj has come to his defense and recently pointed her target at TMZ. "Y'all can post these 'til ur blue in the face. No one on God's earth is perfect. Oh, I forgot - y'all have never sinned; nor have your loved ones. Heard you," she previously wrote on her Instagram Story.

As you already know, Minaj went public with her new relationship in mid-December and was instantly hit with criticism of her 40-year-old beau, who she's reportedly known since high school.

She’s another Hidden Figure! Dr. Gladys West, The Black Woman Who Invented The GPS, Gets Honored By U.S. Air Force At The Pentagon
Did you know that a black woman from Virginia was instrumental in creating a convenience we use every day and almost can’t live without? Yes indeed, Dr. Gladys West invented the GPS or the Global Positioning System and has finally received the recognition she deserves by being inducted into the Air Force Space and Missile Pioneers Hall of Fame by the United States Air Force during a ceremony held at the Pentagon this week.

The 87-year-old scholar knew as a child that she did not want to work in fields, picking tobacco, corn, and cotton or in a factory, beating tobacco leaves for cigarettes and pipes like her parents did. She said, “I realized I had to get an education to get out.” And that she did, studying math at #VirginiaState and graduating top of her class. She became a teacher for two years, then went back to school for her Masters.

In 1956, West began to work at Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division, where she was the second black woman ever to be employed. There, she collected data from satellites, and that job is what eventually led to the development of the Global Positioning System. In 1986, West published “Data Processing System Specifications for the Geosat Satellite Radar Altimeter,” a 60-page illustrated guide, which was based off data created from the radio altimeter on the Geosat satellite, which went into orbit on March 12, 1984. She worked at Dahlgren for 42 years and retired in 1998.

West’s humble character is part of why many people were unaware of her role in the development of the device for decades. She said, “When you’re working every day, you’re not thinking, ‘What impact is this going to have on the world?’ You’re thinking, ‘I’ve got to get this right.’”

In 2017, Capt. Godfrey Weekes, the then-commanding officer at the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division, described the “integral role” West played in a Black History Month message. He wrote, “She rose through the ranks, worked on the satellite geodesy [science that measures the size and shape of Earth] and contributed to the accuracy of GPS and the measurement of satellite data. As Gladys West started her career as a mathematician at Dahlgren in 1956, she likely had no idea that her work would impact the world for decades to come.”

Congratulations to a “hidden figure,” Dr. Gladys West! Thank you for your great contribution to science and your #BlackGirlMagic ✨

OH WOW! Travis Scott in 2014 did an Interview Where He Said Mike Brown “Deserved To Pay For Consequences He Probably Inflicted” And Discussed “The Problem With Black People”
Thanks Baller Alert! It’s been a great year for Houston rapper  Travis Scott, and from his humble beginnings, he sure has come a long way. But the internet (specifically Twitter) has a way of reminding people of their past and recently, social media dug up a 2014 Hot97 interview with Scott, in which he discussed his views on the Mike Brown situation and black people in general.

During the interview, radio host Ebro asked Scott how he felt about Ferguson and how hip-hop effects the youth culture. Scott replied, “I’m kind of angry, so many black people are acting like fake activists…I’m not saying he deserved to get killed. But I’m not saying that he didn’t deserve to pay for consequences he probably inflicted.” He then goes on to talk about “the problem with black people” being that there always has to be a disruption when something like the Ferguson situation happens. He said, “And I know we’re like ‘fed up’ quote/un-quote, with whatever is going on in culture…but at the same time, you gotta just stop putting yourself in positions where you’re continuously having this situation go down.”

As the conversation continued, Travis also spoke about the influence hip-hop artists have on kids and how Kanye West has helped try to “tailor” Black people. He said artist similar to himself, naming Kid Cudi, Tyler The Creator and Young Thug, use their music and visuals to teach the younger generation, unlike some unnamed older artists who “front” and use kids as profits to “fund their lives.” In regards to Kanye, Scott said, “Let’s get people out of baggy pants and put them in fitted clothes…let’s tailor black people up, so we don’t look all hood.”

Does it make sense now as to why Trav agreed to perform at the Super Bowl Halftime Show? Maybe he just isn’t as down with the movement as his fellow hip-hop artists assumed when it comes to standing up for a black cause? What do you guys think of this interview?

Just Tragic! Young Texas Mother Killed In Car Crash By 19-Year-Old Drunk Driver Who Was Served 12 Drinks At A Bar Prior To Crash
A Texas family will be planning a funeral instead of celebrating the upcoming Christmas holiday. 23-year-old Taylor Phillips was killed by 19-year-old drunk driver, Erick Hernandez, after he allegedly crossed three lanes of traffic before the crashing into her SUV, which was also carrying her mother and one-year-old son, Mason.

Prosecutors say a video from inside a bar showed Hernandez consuming 12 alcoholic beverages, including three tequila shots, over the course of 6 hours and was alleged never asked for identification despite being under the legal drinking age.

A total of 5 bar employees, four bartenders, and one manager were arrested for serving the teen alcohol, and court documents show the bar did not have a liquor license and was only allowed to serve beer and wine.
Sean Teare, Chief of the Vehicular Crimes Division in the Harris County District Attorney’s Office said, “Literally one minute after he left (the bar), he took the life of Ms. Phillips. Right now there are Christmas presents under a tree for a mother who will never open them, a child who will never know his mother because of the irresponsible actions of all six individuals charged in this tragedy.”

Carmen Rainer, Phillip’s Mother, told ABC13, her, her daughter and grandson were on their way back after a weekend of visiting family in New Orleans and were five minutes away from home when the crash happened.

She said, “The drunk driver came out of nowhere. We didn’t see him until he was right up on us…I was out for a minute, but the baby crying woke me up. I saw smoke and tried to get out of my seatbelt and open the door. I tried to get my grandson out. He was stuck under her, and I couldn’t get him out. People weren’t stopping to help. I had to go into the street to wave my arms because they wouldn’t stop. It took three men to get Mason from under her. His leg was stuck under her. I had to move her, and that’s when I realized she was gone.”

Hernandez has been charged with intoxication manslaughter but is currently out on $30,000 bond. A GoFundMe fund has been started to help support Mason, and it has raised more than $3,700 of its $5,000 goal so far.
