Entertainment Weekly’s Entertainers Of The Year Are A Celebration Of Diversity!
The female leads of “Black Panther” lit up one of Entertainment Weekly’s Entertainers of the Year covers.
Entertainment Weekly’s Entertainers of the Year include celebrities across the spectrum, from this year’s blockbusters to the hitmakers of 2018.
The magazine’s covers, however, homed in on one of the biggest entertainment wins this year: diversity.
Entertainment Weekly debuted four covers for the Entertainers of the Year edition, featuring the female leads of “Crazy Rich Asians” and “Black Panther,” Cardi B and Darren Criss, the “Glee”-turned-Broadway star who is of mixed Filipino and European descent.
The overall Entertainers of the Year list is dominated by diversity: It includes 15 women, the Fab Five from “Queer Eye” and 14 people of color, seven whom are black. Also among the honorees are Golden Globe winner Sandra Oh and Donald Glover, the brains behind FX’s “Atlanta.”

The magazine covers feature some serious looks by the women of “Black Panther” and “Crazy Rich Asians,” two of the most successful films of the year.
“Black Panther,” which debuted in February — by the way, Black History Month — broke an insane number of box office records. It hit the mark as the highest-grossing superhero film of all time in March and earned the biggest opening week for any Marvel movie at the time.
“Crazy Rich Asians” also proved there is power in having a predominantly minority cast by raking it in at the box office. It’s the highest-grossing romantic comedy in the U.S. in 10 years and earned the most money of any movie during a Labor Day weekend in 11 years.

#RHoA: NeNe Leakes and Porsha Williams Severs Ties After Sunday's Episode of 'RHOA': 'I'm Out'
Nene Leakes is done with her "Real Housewives of Atlanta" co-star and "lil sis," Porsha Williams.

On Sunday night, following an intense episode of the Bravo series, NeNe took to Instagram to share a sweet photo of her and Porsha. The message, however, was not so sweet.
"When you a ride or die chick!!!!" NeNe captioned the since-deleted shot. "Hey lil sis, I got your back! Lil sis: yeah ok! Then throws big sis under the bus! What the F--K #loyalty #dontbitethehandthatfeedsyou I'm out #beloyaltosomebody."

Porsha liked the photo and replied, "So you text me and ask me a question then make an assumption. Now you come on social media and blast me! Bitch you got me twisted. #fakeashell #cutthecrap."
We can only imagine the catalyst for NeNe's social media attack was what transpired on Sunday's "RHOA," after Kandi Burruss opened up to her, Cynthia Bailey and Marlo Hampton about all the dirt she had on Porsha's boyfriend, Dennis. NeNe, Cynthia and Marlo all urged Kandi not to say anything to Porsha given their rocky relationship, but NeNe was particularly adamant about Kandi keeping her mouth shut. At the time, NeNe was the closest to Porsha out of everyone in the group.

It turns out that NeNe ran to Porsha immediately after her lunch with Kandi and told her everything. The problem is, NeNe didn't want anyone to know she was the one who filled Porsha in -- but it would appear that Porsha didn't get that memo.
During a later scene, NeNe, Porsha, Kandi and Cynthia were enjoying some wine when Porsha began bringing up Dennis every chance she got. She knew she was baiting Kandi, and Kandi fell for it.

"Okay, lemme just say this, child," Kandi said before explaining to Porsha what she had heard about her man. Kandi then looked directly (and disapprovingly) at NeNe, who tried to play dumb.
"I wanna know how I'm involved," NeNe said innocently. "Hello, Kandi. Hello. Hello. Heller. Hellerrr. See, I don't get involved in people's relationships."
The very next scene showed Porsha in a confessional. "NeNe came to me, and NeNe was like, 'Well, I think she didn't tell you because she was worried about how you'd react,'" she revealed. It didn't seem malicious, so maybe she really didn't know she was supposed to keep that a secret?
Either way, the cat's out of the bag, and NeNe's pissed. It's a shame, too, because the two had just rekindled their relationship at the end of last season.

"The Real Housewives of Atlanta" airs Sundays at 8 p.m. on Bravo.

#HipHopNews: The Game has Buried his BEEF Meek Mill!
INSTAGRAM – The Game was evidently in a reflective mood when he hit up the ‘Gram in the early hours of Monday (December 3). Along with video footage of a Meek Mill performance, Game looked back on their past beef and offered his support to the recently freed Philly MC.

“Had beef wit a nigga that could’ve ended in bloodshed either way,” he wrote. “We had differences but when it all boiled down, we were once friends in & out of music. As young African American men we grew up in similar situations where a lifespan for us was 21 years of age & that is still the age in which most of us coming from where we come from think we’ll never make it to.

“I say all that to say, life is short & the day after @meekmill got out of jail, he called me & we talked for an hour..not about the beef but new beginnings & what the future holds for us seasoned hip hop artists. This was a few months back & my nigga has done everything he said he would do in the conversation we had.”
Game ended his post on a supportive note. “I never wished jail on you & I was genuinely happy when you got released,” he concluded. “I said it over the phone & I’ll say it again.. ‘Welcome Home.’ #Championships I support it & everything else hip hop: #Growth #LoveIsLove.”

The two rap heavyweights’ issues started in 2016. In an old interview with SiriusXM, Game explained how a bottle of Rose he’d gifted Meek and a little piece of advice sparked the entire thing.
“What happened was we was in the club,” he explained. “It was Meek’s first time back in L.A. since his whole house arrest and he couldn’t move. Meek leaves the club, then an hour later, Sean Kingston gets robbed, knocked in the head. [They] took his jewelry, ran through his crew so we left. Later, Sean Kingston called me 15 minutes after that and he was like ‘Game, that’s fucked up. Meek told me you set me up.'”
Detectives eventually questioned Game about his involvement in the incident, ultimately kicking off years of back-and-forth disses.
“I privied you [Meek] to what was going on in the city so you could cover your ass and just be aware,” he said. “Then you went and turned that into something else.”

With that situation in the rearview, both artists can get back to focusing on building their relationship and simply let bygones be bygones.

A New Video has leaked about Kim Kardashian and Ray J and Kanye is FURUOUS!
Last week, Kim Kardashian West says she was under the influence when she made some decisions in her past, including her first marriage – to music producer Damon Thomas when she was just 19 – and a sex tape with her ex, singer Ray J.
Sources close to Ray J’s camp say Kim took no hard drugs nor did she drink alcohol during the filming of the sex tape. They do say, however, she smoked pot around the time the tape was made … and it was from a pipe shaped like a penis.

From Radar Online
…in bombshell footage obtained by Radar, the raunchy reality queen can be seen smoking, drinking, and getting down and dirty with her sex tape partner.

The explosive clip shows the now mother-of-three shaking her boobs, sucking on a pipe shaped like a p***s, and inhaling clouds of smoke from then-boyfriend Ray J’s suspicious-looking cigarette, Kardashian is a far cry from the tightly controlled image she now presents on KUWTK.

This time the new clip is about more than the video, a source tells OK! Magazine that Kanye West is livid that the new clip has made its way to the Internet years later and he believes that Ray J was behind the release.

“Kanye is demanding some answers, he wants to know why Ray J would leak this tape, and if Ray didn’t leak, then who did?,” the source revealed. “While Kim is embarrassed over the whole situation, Kanye is upset and feels disrespected.”

They just made Kim more millions! However, If you wish to see the newly leaked clip, you can do so here.

Waffle House Hero James Shaw Jr. Replaced Kid Rock As Grand Marshal Of Nashville Christmas Parade
Waffle House hero James Shaw Jr. replaced Kid Rock as the grand marshall of Nashville’s Christmas Parade on Saturday.
The rock and roll singer was ousted after his reckless remarks last week in reference to Joy Behar during an interview Friday on “Fox & Friends.”

God forbid you say something a little wrong; you’re racist, homophobic, Islamophobic, this that and the other. People need to calm down, get a little less politically correct.
And I would say, you know, love everybody. Except, I’d say screw that Joy Behar b–ch!
It was a rainy morning in Nashville, but that didn’t stop folks from coming out for the festivities.
James Shaw Jr., who wrestled the gun away from a shooter in a Waffle House earlier this year, hopped into a horsedrawn carriage with the relatives of Akilah Dasilva, a musician who was killed in the Waffle House shooting.

Meanwhile, Kid Rock watch from a window. He posted this on his Instagram page:
Oh Wells! Congrats to James Shaw Jr. – a true hero.

The 2018 Kennedy Center Honors program featured tributes to former President Bush
WASHINGTON (AP) — Last year's Kennedy Center Honors ceremony was almost overshadowed by controversy surrounding the sitting president. This year's event took place in the shadow of the death of a former commander-in-chief.
Sunday night's ceremony honoring lifetime artistic achievement featured multiple tributes to former President George H.W. Bush, who died Friday night at age 94.
The night kicked off with an extended standing ovation in Bush's memory at the request of hostess Gloria Estefan.

"I think it's appropriate to recognize the passing of a wonderful man who dedicated his life to service and who graciously attended this event many times during his administration, laughing, applauding, singing along and even shedding a tear from right up there in the presidential box," said Estefan, who recalled being invited to the White House and how Bush "literally spent 45 minutes patiently talking to my eight-year-old son" about how the government worked.

Within days of that White House visit, Estefan's tour bus was in a serious accident that left her nearly paralyzed and President Bush called her in the hospital, she said.
For the second straight year, President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump declined an invitation to the awards. They returned to Washington before dawn Sunday from the Group of 20 summit in Argentina.
The Trumps skipped last year's ceremony after several of the honorees — most notably leftist television producer Norman Lear — threatened to boycott if he attended. This year, nobody issued that kind of overt threat, but the Trumps still announced three weeks ago that they wouldn't attend.
David Rubenstein, the chairman of the board for the Kennedy Center, said after intermission that he often thinks about the values Bush brought to public service.

"I never met a more decent man, a more philanthropic person, a more genuine person," Rubenstein said.
Bush attended the Kennedy Center Honors for most years during his presidency — and even afterward, during his son's presidency — but like other leaders, he was pulled away by major issues that demanded his time. Bush didn't attend in 1989 because he was at a summit in Malta. Jimmy Carter missed the 1979 awards because of the Iran hostage crisis. Bill Clinton was on his way to a conference during the 1994 Kennedy Center awards.

Trump, however, is the first president to miss them twice.
Had he gone to the Kennedy Center, he might have faced opposition from at least some of the honorees, including Cher and Lin-Manuel Miranda.
Trump and his administration have put unprecedented distance between themselves and the arts and science communities. No arts or humanities medals have been announced or handed out since September 2016, when Barack Obama was president — the longest gap by months since the awards were established in the mid-1980s.
This year's honorees for lifetime achievements in the arts were Cher, composer Philip Glass, country music legend Reba McEntire and jazz icon Wayne Shorter. An unprecedented special award went to the co-creators of "Hamilton" for their genre-bending musical.

McEntire was introduced by music star Kelly Clarkson, who performed McEntire's hit song "Fancy."
"Sometimes when we meet our heroes, it doesn't always pan out," Clarkson told McEntire, "but my friendship with you became one of the highlights of my life."
Shorter was hailed by the Kennedy Center for a six-decade career that included collaborations with Art Blakey, Miles Davis, Carlos Santana and Joni Mitchell.
Jason Moran, the Kennedy Center's artistic director for jazz, described Shorter's music in celestial terms.
"His sound holds a special place in the galaxy," Moran said. "I can safely say that somewhere in the galaxy right now, a band is playing one of his pieces."
Glass received his tribute from a fellow Kennedy Center Honors recipient: singer-songwriter Paul Simon.

"He can rightfully be described as one of our greatest modern composers," Simon said.
Simon praised Glass for his eclectic body of work, "never settling into one particular style, always developing and exploring."

This year's event contained a break from tradition by honoring an actual contemporary work of art — the blockbuster musical "Hamilton" — in addition to lifetime achievement awards for late-career artists. Writer and actor Miranda, director Thomas Kail, choreographer Andy Blankenbuehler and music director Alex Lacamoire were honored as "trailblazing creators of a transformative work that defies category."
Comedian Whoopi Goldberg kicked off a tribute to Cher in a flowing sparkly gown that she joked came from the pop music icon's closet.

"She is the true original," Goldberg said. "She not only marched to the beat of her own drum — honey, she is a one-woman band!"
The Honors tribute performers are always kept secret from the recipients, and this was no exception. When Lauper appeared, Cher yelled from her seat, "You told me you were going to Los Angeles!"

Lauper shrugged onstage and said, "I lied."

Michelle Obama’s ‘Becoming’ Is 2018’s Best-selling Book
Michelle Obama’s new book, Becoming, is now the best-selling book of 2018.
Penguin Random House announced Friday that the former first lady’s memoir has sold over 2 million copies in North America in hardcover, e-book and audio sales. Becoming sold a massive 725,000 copies on its first day in print, according to Entertainment Weekly.

Angie Thomas’ The Hate U Give and Watergate journalist Bob Woodward’s Fear: Trump in the White House were the two books  in the running to receive the year’s top-selling honor, but they were surpassed by Becoming, per EW.
Obama’s book topped the nonfiction best-seller lists in the UK, Germany, France, Italy and Norway, per Quartz.
In Becoming, Obama details her life growing up on the South Side of Chicago, meeting and falling in love with future president Barack Obama and balancing life as a working mother.

Obama is currently on a book tour and will be at London’s Royal Festival Hall today (Monday) speaking with writer Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie.

The new author announced that she had to cancel her tour dates for Paris and Berlin on Dec. 5 and Dec. 6 to attend the funeral of former President George H.W. Bush, who passed away in Houston on Friday at age 94.

Preschool “Accidentally” Serves Pine-Sol Instead Of Apple Juice During Snack Time
A preschool in Hawaii “accidentally” serves Pine-Sol instead of apple juice during snack time.
According to a report released by the state Department of Health, a classroom assistant of Kilohana United Methodist Church Preschool distributed snacks that morning, which consisted of dry crackers and juice.
The director states that while the assistant was preparing snacks, the assistant saw the Pine-Sol on the clean-up cart and “returned to the classroom with crackers and container of liquid.” The assistant poured the liquid into cups while the classroom teacher tended to the students. The classroom teacher realized it was not apple juice based on its smell, and stopped the students from drinking it.

According to Emergency Medical Services, paramedics evaluated three students, ages 4 and 5, who did drink a small amount. The children are said to be okay  and did not require treatment.
The inspection report by the health department states that the Pine Sol was in its original container and properly labeled. The cart did not contain any food, and the other supplies were in its proper position away from food.

The assistant was fired, and the school sent out an email to parents to let them know about the unfortunate situation.

Tumblr will ban all adult content on December 17th
Tumblr will permanently ban adult content from its platform on December 17th in a move that will eradicate porn-related communities on the platform and fundamentally alter how the service is used. The ban includes explicit sexual content and nudity with a few exceptions, the company tells The Verge. The new policy’s announcement comes just days after Tumblr was removed from Apple’s iOS App Store over a child pornography incident, but it extends far beyond that matter alone. “Adult content will no longer be allowed here,” the company flatly stated in a blog post published on Monday.

Banned content includes photos, videos, and GIFs of human genitalia, female-presenting nipples, and any media involving sex acts, including illustrations. The exceptions include nude classical statues and political protests that feature nudity. The new guidelines exclude text, so erotica remains permitted. Illustrations and art that feature nudity are still okay — so long as sex acts aren’t depicted — and so are breastfeeding and after-birth photos.

USERS HAVE A CHANCE TO APPEAL FLAGGED CONTENT
After December 17th, any explicit posts will be flagged and deleted by algorithms. For now, Tumblr is emailing users who have posted adult content flagged by algorithms and notifying them that their content will soon be hidden from view. Posts with porn content will be set to private, which will prevent them from being reblogged or shared elsewhere in the Tumblr community.

Users have a chance to appeal Tumblr’s decision in situations where they think there’s been a mistake, and the platform admits there’s a chance that the automated tools it’s using could make errors. It’s a process that could take a while, as a bulk of Tumblr posts feature explicit content. Users who run adult blogs can also export their content before the change takes place in order to save what they have.

Explicit blogs will be allowed to remain on the service, but they’ll be heavily censored for all visitors. Here’s Tumblr’s FAQ:

What if my blog (not to be confused with posts) was marked as “explicit” before December 17, 2018?
Blogs that have been either self-flagged or flagged by us as “explicit” per our old policy and before December 17, 2018 will still be overlaid with a content filter when viewing these blogs directly. While some of the content on these blogs may now be in violation of our policies and will be actioned accordingly, the blog owners may choose to post content that is within our policies in the future, so we’d like to provide that option. Users under 18 will still not be allowed to click through to see the content of these blogs. The avatars and headers for these blogs will also be reverted to the default settings. Additionally, posts from these blogs are kept out of search results.

“WE’VE GIVEN SERIOUS THOUGHT TO WHO WE WANT TO BE TO OUR COMMUNITY.”
Since Tumblr was founded in 2007, it has largely turned a blind eye to adult content. The company has tried to shield it from public view through Safe Mode and more stringent search filters. But in recent months — and under the ownership of Verizon’s Oath unit — it began to consider removing content more aggressively. “We’ve given serious thought to who we want to be to our community moving forward,” CEO Jeff D’Onofrio says in a blog post. “We’ve realized that in order to continue to fulfill our promise and place in culture, especially as it evolves, we must change.” D’Onofrio says Tumblr weighed the pros and cons thoroughly before making its decision. It also decided not to remove explicit accounts because it wanted to give these accounts a chance to post appropriate content instead.

TUMBLR HAS BEEN CLEANING UP ITS PLATFORM RECENTLY
Under Oath, Tumblr has been cleaning up its platform more rapidly than it had done in previous years. In August, Tumblr announced new community guidelines that banned revenge porn, hate speech, and posts that glorified school shootings.

If users mourn the loss of adult content on Tumblr, D’Onofrio claims they have many other solutions. “There are no shortage of sites on the internet that feature adult content. We will leave it to them and focus our efforts on creating the most welcoming environment possible for our community,” he said. That argument will do little to curtail anger over this decision from people who have used Tumblr as a safe place to enjoy, share, and discuss their preferred flavor of porn and adult content.

Meet Fior Pichardo de Veloz, A Woman that Florida police put her in a Mens Jail thinking she was Transgender!
Fior Pichardo de Veloz, a grandmother from the Dominican Republic, is suing after Florida police arrested her – and then put her in jail with male prisoners because they mistakenly thought she is transgender.
Pichardo, who had come to the United States to witness the birth of her grandchild, spent ten hours in a call with male inmates after a prison doctor decided she is transgender because she takes hormone blockers for menopause.
A federal appeals court has ruled that Pichardo can sue the doctor and a nurse who insisted she be treated as a man – despite a strip search that showed she is a woman. A previous judge had thrown out the lawsuit, saying the medical personnel were immune from the negligence lawsuit.

“Every reasonable prison officer and medical personnel would have known that wrongfully misclassifying a biological female as a male inmate and placing that female in the male population of a detention facility was unlawful,” Judge Frank Hull wrote in the unanimous decision.
Pichardo was arrested at Miami International Airport on an old drug charge that, unknown to her, was still outstanding. Pichardo is an attorney and elected official in the Dominican Republic.

The arresting officer listed her gender as female and she was processed as a woman at the jail. A female officer strip searched her, looking for contraband, and later testified she “did not notice anything abnormal.”
But when she was taken to the medical unit for a checkup due to her high blood pressure, the nurse asked the officer if Pichardo was a man because she takes hormone pills for menopause. The officer confirmed with Pichardo that she is a woman.

Dr. Rodriguez-Garcia “examined” Pichardo, but did not ask her to strip or perform any physical examination. He did not ask her “if she was a woman, a man or transgender” or why she was on hormone pills, according to the lawsuit.

Instead, he simply reclassified her as a man.

When the nurse brought Pichardo back to the officer, she told him “everything fell out” when Pichardo was examined – despite no physical examination being performed. The nurse added a note to the inmate’s file that read, ”Transgender, male parts, female tendencies.”
Even after three officers questioned the decision directly, they were bound by the nurse’s instructions, who would only repeat “She’s a man.”
When she arrived at the men’s prison, she again told the processing officer that she is a woman.  “You are a woman. Good luck if you’re alive tomorrow,” the officer replied.
Surrounding by 40 loud and leering men, Pichardo was so afraid to even use the restroom she urinated on herself.

Eventually, Pichardo’s family discovered she had been sent to the men’s prison and a new examination of her gender was ordered. A female nurse immediately realized the mistake.
The nurse was “exposed to consistent and repeated information that Mrs. Pichardo was a woman” and “stubbornly refused” to confirm Pichardo’s gender, according to the ruling. The doctor “knew that sending a woman to an all-male prison would pose a risk of serious harm to her safety, however, he took no steps to verify Mrs. Pichardo’s sex before re-classifying her as male.”

The court ruled that the pair’s conduct amounted to “deliberate indifference.”

Tisha Campbell’s ex-husband Duane Martin accused of using Will Smith in bankruptcy scam
Tisha Campbell-Martin’s former husband Duane Martin allegedly defrauded Los Angeles County bankruptcy officials who claim he scammed the system when he lied about being broke, the media reports.
According to officials, Duane Martin purposely hid revenue obtained from multiple sources, including a $1.4M loan from Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith, during the Martins’ bankruptcy filing in January 2016, TMZ states.

Furthermore, documents allegedly show that Duane Martin (“All of Us,” “Real Husbands of Hollywood,” Above the Rim) earned hundreds of thousands of dollars from clothing store and real estate investments, but failed to report that information during bankruptcy proceedings.
The alleged scam was only discovered when Campbell-Martin, 50, who starred in House Party and the sitcom “Martin,” filed for divorce from her husband in February 2018. This is when they learned that Martin may have “concealed” and “diverted valuable assets” in their bankruptcy case.

Specifically, officials accuse Martin, 53, of failing to say that he got a $1.4M loan Hollywood power couple Will and Jada Pinkett Smith. Officials say he planned to use that loan to buy a home and then sell it later for a million dollar profit “with the intention of pocketing the sales,” according to documents obtained by TMZ.
The Smiths have not been accused of being aware of the alleged scam nor are they persons of interest in this case. Officials say Martin was the lone knowledgeable person who used Smith’s loan as part of a larger “sham.”

Officials demand that Martin discharge of debts now be revoked. Government officials also want Martin to turn over any cash he’s been hiding.
TMZ reported that Campbell-Martin also wants money from her ex-husband Duane Martin. As rolling out reported this past summer, she said her former husband was hiding money from her during their marriage.
Insiders snitched to TMZ that Campbell-Martin tried to get Martin to come clean about any hidden income. When it was all said and done, Campbell-Martin had to disclose her findings about hidden assets in order to “avoid jail and be there for their two children,” the report said.

Attempts to reach Martin to answer to these claims have not been successful.

Trump will not be speaking at funeral for George H.W. Bush His son George W Bush will Eulogize!
WASHINGTON — President Trump will not be speaking at the funeral for President George H.W. Bush, it was reported Monday.
Instead, the Bush family has lined up four people to give eulogies — including Bush’s son President George W. Bush.
The other eulogists include former Canadian Prime Minister Brian Mulroney, former Sen. Alan Simpson (R-Wyo.) and presidential historian Jon Meacham, who also eulogized first lady Barbara Bush.

President Trump and first lady Melania Trump plan to attend the ceremony Wednesday morning at the National Cathedral in Washington. On Monday, President Trump tweeted, “Looking forward to being with the Bush Family to pay my respects to President George H.W. Bush.”
CNN reported that Trump would not be giving a eulogy, and instead would meet privately Tuesday with the Bush family at Blair House, the president’s guest house that is located across the street from the White House.
The Trumps are also expected to pay a visit Monday night to the Capitol Building, where Bush will lie in state through Wednesday morning, a White House official confirmed to The Post.

Sitting presidents have eulogized the last three past presidents who have died.
George W. Bush gave eulogies for both Gerald Ford, who passed away in 2006, and Ronald Reagan, who died in 2004. Before that, Bill Clinton gave a eulogy for Richard Nixon after he died in April 1994.
Harry Truman and Lyndon Johnson died a month apart in late 1972 and early 1973.
Truman opted not to have a state funeral. Instead, his body lay in state in Independence, Missouri. Nixon was the first person in line to pay his respects.

At Johnson’s funeral, held at National City Christian Church in downtown Washington, Nixon presided over the affair, but did not speak.
