The Real Housewives franchise has been lucrative, so spreading out and increasing that doe only makes sense.
That’s why Peter Thomas is now getting his own spinoff show. According to TheJasmineBrand.com, Cynthia Bailey’s ex-husband got a show about his Charlotte restaurant/lounge. Thomas had previously been a regular on Real Housewives of Atlanta over the past seven seasons.
A source states that the show has been green-lit, and would focus on Thomas’s Atlanta lounge, Bar One, which had been closed previously. The source says production has started, but they’re still waiting for a network to pick it up.
Rumors surrounding a spinoff for Peter aren’t actually that new. All the way back in 2014, there were reported talks of a spinoff about his Atlanta business. That show was supposed to be modeled on Lisa Vanderpump’s spinoff, Vanderpump Rules, which followers her and her employees around SUR Lounge, Lisa’s popular Beverly Hills restaurant.

Tamar Braxton Performs New Single “My Man” Live For The First Time
Tamar Braxton is making an emotional return with the personal single, “My Man.
The songstress was recently in Houston, Texas for a performance on Friday night (May 5) at the Arena Theater. During her set, Braxton treated the audience to her first live performance of the heartfelt ballad, which touches on the history of her parents divorce.
A fan captured the singer’s live rendition of the song, which her belted out while seated on a stool in center stage.
In addition to her performance, the city of Houston actually declared May 5, “Tamar Braxton Day.”
“Houston gave me my own day on #cincodemayo
🏆 anyone who knows me knows I live for this holiday!!,” she wrote on Instagram.

#HIPHOPNEWS: Kanye West Working on New Album in Wyoming
Yeezy is hard at work in Wyoming. In the past, Kanye West has found musical inspiration in places like Hawaii and Paris. According to TMZ, he’s now finding it at a Wyoming mountaintop retreat.
The Chicago MC has been there for a week and was also there two weeks earlier, according to the report. This could be an indication that he’s working on his highly-anticipated next album.
West’s retreat also helps explain his absence from the public eye. He hasn’t performed since being hospitalized in November and, for the most part, has shied away from the public. Most recently, he skipped the Met Gala and deleted his Instagram and Twitter profiles.
However, sources say that he’s simply focusing on his next album, the follow-up to last year’s platinum-selling The Life of Pablo. West revealed that his next project would be titled Turbo Grafx 16, though it’s unclear whether that still holds true.
SHADE! Patti LuPone Calls Madonna a 'Movie Killer,' Throws Shade at Glenn Close & Movie Musicals
Broadway legend Patti LuPone didn’t hold back at all during her appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen!
The two-time Tony winner and current nominee for War Paint was asked what she thought of Madonna‘s performance in the movie version of Evita. If you didn’t know, Patti originated the role of Eva Peron on Broadway.
“Well, I was on the treadmill and when MTV used to have videos, I saw, I believe it was ‘Buenos Aires,’ and I thought it was a piece of sh-t. Madonna is a movie killer,” Patti said. “She’s dead behind the eyes. She cannot act her way out of a paper bag. She should not be in film or on stage. She’s a wonderful performer for what she does, but she is not an actress.”

Patti also threw a little bit of shade at Glenn Close. If you don’t know the backstory between them, Patti originated the role of Norma Desmond in the musical Sunset Boulevard during the London run. She had a signed contract to bring the show to Broadway, but then composer Andrew Lloyd Webber decided to replace her with Glenn, who went on to win the Tony.
Now, Glenn is doing Sunset Boulevard on Broadway again and Patti was asked if she would go see the show.
“Well I was in it. I originated the role so I don’t think I need to see it,” Patti responded to the caller. She did say that she and Glenn are on good terms today though!
When asked about movie musicals, Patti said that the only person who knows how to do a musical on camera is Rachel Bloom with her The CW series Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.
Chris Brown Denies Karrueche Tran’s Abuse Allegations
The drama continues for Chris Brown and Karrueche Tran. The R&B crooner is now lashing out against claims that he abused and threatened his ex.
“I’m so sick of these thirsty adults,” wrote Brown in a comment on the Baller Alert Instagram page. “Her team is trying their best. For what? No one has served me and the lengths they are going, I should call them stalkers.”
Brown went on to say that the allegations of abuse — that he punched and kicked Karrueche down a flight of stairs — are simply a ploy to bring back memories of his assault on Rihanna.
“What’s even more fucked up is that, they played off my past by saying I abused her,” he added. “…Opening old wounds to make Kae a victim, that’s some evil shit. Sad part, y’all believe it. ‘Lever her alone.’ Provoking me to spazz so they can have something. Notice this shit happens when they need to promote something. No one cares, especially me. That’s why I’m being slandered.”
According to Brown, he no longer wants to be with Karrueche, despite the allegations of his stalker behavior. “I want nothing to do with her,” he wrote. “You think I wanna chase or still be with someone who would try to destroy me??? She doesn’t need a restraining order from me. I need one from them.”
In a separate comment, Brown said this situation is different from his Rihanna case. “I will not just accept papers from any lawyer and I will not go to court to admit guilt to further tarnish who I am,” he wrote. “I pled guilty in the Rihanna cause because I was. I refuse to allow these evil hearted people to label me and lie because they think it will skyrocket their career. Just stay away from me.”
The lengthy comment follows reports that Tran is prepared to testify against her ex in court. She alleges that he threatened to kill her and that, in the past, he punched her in the stomach and kicked her down a flight of stairs.
Brown has avoided being served with the restraining order for a couple of months. Last week, it was reported that he was finally served after his birthday party, though he denies that to be true.
The “Privacy” singer’s lawyer, who has refused to accept the restraining order on his client’s behalf, also implied that Tran was using this case as a self-promotion tool.
Brown is currently on “The Party Tour” and is slated to release a 40-track double album Heartbreak on a Full Moon later this year.
In Memoriam: “Rob & Big” Star Christopher “Big Black” Boykin Dies From Heart Attack At 45
Former “Rob & Big star, Christopher “Big Black” Boykin passed away at the age of 45. PEOPLE has confirmed that the cause of the death was a heart attack and Boykin had passed earlier this morning.
MTV has also released a statement on Christopher’s death.
“MTV is deeply saddened to learn the news of Christopher ‘Big Black’ Boykin’s passing,” MTV said in a statement, obtained by PEOPLE. “He was a longtime and beloved member of the MTV family and will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends at this time.”
“Rob & Big” lasted for about 19 episodes before the show canceled due to a silent feud the pair were having.
“It was a strange period,” Rob Dyrdek said in a March 2016 interview. “I had been a pro skateboarder for years, so me transitioning to mainstream fame was relatively smooth, right, where for him, the idea that man he was like working security two years earlier and now he’s on television, it was a much different dynamic. But I think we both struggled with I didn’t want to be known as like Rob from Rob & Big … and I think he didn’t want to be known for like the sidekick. So that created a lot of that tension between me and him.”
Dyrdek said that even though they got paid the same their ego ultimately drove them apart.
“I think it was more the fundamental struggle of wanting to not be so connected to each other,” Dyrdek added. “Ultimately, after we had a big blowout creatively over an idea … things were so tense at certain times — it’s funny now that I think about it — but we literally would film some of the funniest things that we have ever done and would be losing it and then walk away and not talk to each other. It was super, super bizarre.”
Boykin is survived by his daughter, 9-year-old Isis Rae Boykin. WOW condolences go out to his family and friends.

Lil Kim is not at a loss for words when it comes to New York’s premiere drama queen, Funkmaster Flex. Flex recently claimed on social media that back in the day, Kim tried to get her ex-boyfriend Damion “World” Hardy to put hands on him.
World is currently serving a life sentence after being convicted of murdering six people. Still, Kim came to her ex-beau’s defense, although she was surprised that Funk even brought up the old new. “This is so funny to because I’m the ONLY ONE that was able to keep him off you even though I felt he was in the right, but you were the big homie and he was my MAN. He did what he was supposed to do,” she wrote on social media.
Flex has had a turbulent May. Before picking a fight with Kim, he made headlines for disrespecting Tupac Shakur. Kim seemed to keep that in mind also when posting her IG message. “Flex, whatever it is you’re going through, I’ma need you to take a deep breath, meditate, do some yoga or something because you tweakin bruh lol.”

Prince Producer Claims He Never Promised To Release His Music
A handful of Prince’s unreleased recordings are totally fair game as far the producer is concerned, because he says he never signed a contract to keep the music under wraps.
George Ian Boxill, the former sound engineer who briefly released the “Deliverance” EP last month before Prince’s estate blocked it filed new legal docs saying his deal with Prince was strictly for remodeling his studio.
Boxill says he helped overhaul Prince’s studio in 2004 and did indeed sign a nondisclosure agreement. He insists that document ONLY applied to that job. Later, Boxill served as sound engineer when Prince recorded the 5 tracks on “Deliverance.”
According to the docs, Boxill never signed a nondisclosure for the recording sessions. He’s asking the judge to throw out the estate’s lawsuit which is blocking him from releasing the music to the public.

Olivia Newton-John Postpones Concerts Due to Health Issues
Olivia Newton-John is postponing some of her upcoming tour dates, citing health issues.
The 68-year-old performer’s management took to her Facebook page to make the announcement.
Olivia is reportedly facing issues with her sciatica, which involves pain along the sciatic nerve, which runs down one or both legs from the lower back.
“We are so sorry to announce that the Olivia concerts scheduled for May will be postponed due to a bad issue with Olivia‘s sciatica. Once the dates are rescheduled we will post the new dates ASAP. Apologies for any inconvenience,” her management wrote.
