Russell Westbrook Styles For GQ!
Oklahoma City Thunder baller Russell Westbrook is no stranger to fashion. And its very clear after basketball, Russell will continue making a name for himself in the fashion world.
In his new GQ magazine cover story, he talks about his relationship with his former teammate Kevin Durant, he gets real about his game and why stylists are a waste of money.
The NBA point guard shows off his eclectic style for the masses. He always wears whatever he wants, doesn’t care to follow trends, and he aims to never wear the same combination of clothes more than once. He rocks to the beat of his own drum, meaning when you see him all dressed up, that’s all him. No stylists involved.
“And that's why a stylist, for me, is just a waste of money,” Westbrook tells the publication. “It would take away from my creative side. And the most important thing about fashion is being creative and being able to have your own ideas.”

As for basketball, everyone was shocked when his teammate Kevin Durant decided to leave the Thunder for the Golden State Warriors after playing with Russell for eight seasons.
It was reported Russell was hurt and angry over Kevin’s decision, but Russell hasn’t said much to the media about his true feelings. So have Russell and Kevin talked much since Kevin’s departure?
“Uhh, not much, no,” he says. He offered up a very careful response to Kevin leaving the Thunder.
“I mean, obviously in the NBA there's a lot of different decisions that people make,” he says. “The whole thing in the NBA is that people sometimes have an opportunity to go where they want. And Kevin chose a place where he wanted to go.”
Gotta to respect that.
Russell has a mantra that has governed his disposition as long as he's been in the spotlight: Why not? It’s a saying that goes back well before he was famous.

“My friends and I started that motto early in high school,” Westbrook says. “That attitude, that mentality, from way back then: Want to go to Stanford? Why not? Want to play in the NBA? Why not? I was never the best player. Not ever in my life. Though even when I was younger, I felt that on any given day I could be. And that mentality's what's helped me get over the hump each and every day to where I was meant to go."
That's a good mantra to have.  You can read Russell’s full interview over at GQ.

Look who’s Back!  Kordell Stewart Addresses Sexuality Rumors and His 'Rocky Road' Marriage to RHOA's Porsha Williams
Kordell Stewart doesn’t regret appearing on The Real Housewives of Atlanta with his now ex-wife Porsha Williams.
The former NFL quarterback, who was married to the Bravo personality from 2011 to 2013, reveals to talk show host Steve Harvey on Wednesday’s episode of The Steve Harvey Show that his past relationship with Williams could be described as a “rocky road.”
“When it comes to the institution of marriage, I think it is the highest levels of the Super Bowl of a relationship. And you have that someone that you say, ‘You know what, I want to be with you for the rest of my life. Your breath stinks and all. I want to just be with you forever.’ And that breath that I was smelling was the one that I wanted to be with for the rest of my life. But it got to the point where it got a little too stank,” he explains of being married to Williams in an advance clip.

Reflecting on their two-year marriage, Stewart, 44, says of Williams, “I loved my ex-wife. That’s old and that’s over with Steve. You know I have a 13-year-old kid to raise” and adds that he doesn’t regret being on the reality series.
“What I’ve seen of my ex as of lately conducting herself, just imagine if we were together for five more years with two children. That wouldn’t have been good,” he states and assures that “she left with a lot” when the couple called it quits.

Although he is no longer married to 35-year-old Williams, the Truth: The Kordell Stewart Story author is hopeful that there is a woman out there for him — and is taking what he learned from his failed marriage into a future relationship. “Even thoug it was a rocky road, that was a lesson for me in this life. I take every experience and take it in stride and know that God has something in store for me.”
The former NFL quarterback also addresses the 20-year rumors that have swirled around him in regards his sexuality. He recounts a story from 1998 when a doctor called him and informed the athlete that people said he was arrested in a park for lewd acts with a transvestite.

But Stewart denies the whole story: “When that happened, I was like, ‘Man.’ It drew me closer to the Word to the point where it made me understand what this really, really was all about — it was hate. And that’s why to this day I wanted to wait until I had the opportunity to speak to you about this.”

New Hip Hop Remix Music: Solange feat. Common – ‘Cranes in the Sky (Remix)’
Common soars on an unofficial remix to Solange’s “Cranes in the Sky” off A Seat at the Table.
Delivering introspective rhymes and thought-provoking themes, Common raps about Lauryn Hill, everlasting love, escapism, and sadness.
“Can’t work it away,” he rhymes. “Can’t drink it away / Can’t laugh it away / Can’t think it away / That pain come up on ya like a thief in the day.”
In a statement to The FADER, Common explained how Solange’s track inspired his raps.

“Every once and a few years, there are certain songs that come out and have the sound of forever,” he said. “‘Cranes in the Sky’ is that song for me. Every time I listened to it, I keep wanting to hear it again and again. I started mumbling some words to it and then decided I want to write a verse. This is an unofficial remix simply inspired by the love of art.”
“Cranes in the Sky” has inspired others too, including Kaytranada, who also unleashed his own Solange-approved remix.

Meanwhile, Common is gearing up for his own album Black America Again, which is due Nov. 4.

State Dinner at the White House FLOTUS Looks FABULOUS in a Atelier Versace Gown
The First Lady of the United States takes our breath away again. Over the last 8 years, FLOTUS has taken her style to the next level in her different ensembles. I personally love her state dinner looks. On October 18th, the First Lady was spotted alongside POTUS while waiting on the arrival of as she waits on the arrival of the Prime Minister of Italy.

For the event, First Lady Michelle Obama wore a custom Rose Gold Atelier Versace Gown. The gown was perfect for the evening. Every detail of the gown was flawless from the train to the cinched waist. Not only does the metallic gown look amazing, but her hair took the look to the next level.
I am really going to miss the Obamas. It has been an amazing ride and we love sharing her most fashionable looks over the years. Out of all the looks, the Atelier Versace Gown was by far my favorite.

American Crime Story Season 3 Will Focus On Gianni Versace Murder
Filming of American Crime Story Season 2 about Hurricane Katrina and the aftermath hasn’t even begun yet, but FX has already renewed the anthology for a third season. No real surprise there, given the first season of the show, People v. O.J. Simpson, won 10 Emmys.
Deadline reports the third season will explore the shocking assassination of legendary designer Gianni Versace on the steps of his Miami Beach mansion. He was the fifth and final victim of serial killer Andrew Cunanan. The sociopath killed himself eight days later as the police were about to capture him in a house boat.
American Crime Story: Versace/Cunanan will be based on the book Vulgar Favors by Vanity Fair writer Maureen Orth, with Tom Rob Smith. Filming for it will occur simultaneously with the second installment, Katrina. It wasn’t originally planned that way, but network execs were so impressed with the script for Versace/Cunanan, they fast-tracked it.

With regards to casting, no one has been booked yet, but a certain A-list actress has been approached to play Donatella Versace.
OMG, who could it be? It’s hard not to imagine Maya Rudolph when speaking of Versace. Her SNL spoofs poking fun at the designer are epic.

Who do you think producers are eying for Donatella? Do you think Versace is a good subject for the third season?

The 2018 Rolls Royce SUV Cullinan
While many individuals dream of the life of luxury, a select few live it. Whether is dinner dates at five-star restaurants, boarding private jets, cladding themselves with the finest of garments, or pushing the latest whips; everything these individuals do screams “FAB”. With respect to FAB vehicles, there is a great chance that nothing will probably emphasize Greatness more than the  2018 Rolls Royce SUV  Cullinan.
Car lovers were teased with the concept in earlier years, but no specific date was given. The vehicle appeared to be a  figment of their imaginations. Now the wait is finally over. The luxurious SUV will arrive on the market in 2018  with a price tag leaning towards $400,000. This vehicle will cost more than the average person’s home. (Sigh).

Debuting the same year will be the eighth-generation Phantom, although it is unclear which vehicle the British automaker will release first. Wrapped in the reputation of prestige and classic design, Rolls Royce is not expected to play by the rules with this model.  Rumors are circulating that this will be the largest SUV on the market. It is expected to house a V12 engine and 500 horsepower . More than likely, it will feature the “7 series platform that will make this and all-terrain vehicle”.  Off Roading in the “Cullinan”? Baller!
Wrapped in Rolls Royce’s noted opulence, this beauty will exhibit the well appointed interior and craftsmanship owners of Rolls Royce have come to admire and love. Dominating the segment of luxury SUVs, this jewel offers  power, precision and class. This vehicle is the perfect mix of rugged luxury.

OH HELL NAW! White Teacher From Texas Repeatedly Pushes Down Black Child
“When I tell you to do something, you do it!" he yelled.
A White teacher from Texas is under fire after he shoved a young Black child in the face for not obeying.
Not only did he push the small child, he called him “boy” instead of using his name. According to Bossip, Snook, Texas, school district teacher Troy Vann has been removed from his position:

“The Snook school district has removed an employee from his position after a video posted online showed him repeatedly pushing a small child in a classroom.
Facebook user Stacy LeeAnn Gutierrez, a parent of a child in the district, posted a video of the incident late last night, which quickly gained a large amount of attention. In the 29-second clip, a man is seen picking up a small child and pushing him down into a bean bag several times against the boy’s will.”

Apparently, an administrator caught wind of the damning video and attempted to erase it, but there was already a copy made just in case.
Gutierrez said in the Facebook post that her son recorded the video and showed it to an administrator at the school. The administrator watched the clip then erased it, she said. However, Gutierrez said her son had already sent the recording to another device “to keep a copy.”

According to a statement released by the Snook school district shortly after the video surfaced online, the district immediately removed the instructor from duty “pending a full review and investigation of the matter.”

Here’s what the administration had to say in a statement:
“The Snook ISD Administration became aware of an incident of concern in which a Snook ISD employee was attempting to exert discipline and control over a young student,” the statement read. “The incident was immediately reported by another student to the principal. The principal did an excellent job in quickly obtaining and preserving available video evidence from school cameras and a student’s mobile device. … Our top priority is for our students to be treated in a safe and respectful manner when they are in our care.”

A longer statement released by the school district Friday afternoon said the staff member was a behavior specialist.
In the statement, Snook ISD Superintendent Brenda W. Krchnak said she has ordered a review of the district’s “faculty and staff use of discipline and restraint.”

The celebs came out to Tyler Perry’s 'Boo! A Madea Halloween' LA Premiere
Tyler Perry’s Boo! A Madea Halloween is laugh out loud funny.
Last night, Lady O popped up at Tyler Perry’s Boo! A Madea Halloween premiere held at ArcLight Cinemas Cinerama Dome in L.A. She dished to Entertainment Tonight about how she couldn’t stop laughing at the holiday film.
On the carpet, the media mogul shared laughs and hugs with Tyler before the screening of the film.
They weren't the only ones getting close on the carpet...
Former reality star Gloria Govan and her boyfriend Derek Fisher packed on the PDA as they made their way down the carpet. Take that Matt Barnes, if he even cares anymore.
Gloria showed off all the hard work she puts in at the gym.
Singer/reality star Tamar Braxton was barely recognizable. She hit the carpet solo. We're not sure if her husband Vince Herbert attended the event with her or not, but they've been putting on a united front amid rumors that another domestic abuse situation occurred recently.
Terry Crews' wife Rebecca King Crews and her daughter came out for the laughs.
Boo! A Madea Halloween hits theaters this Friday, October 21st.
