Inside the issue, the Mariah’s World star opens up about her E! docuseries, her divorce from Nick Cannon, relationship with her fiancé, billionaire James Packer, and she also talks Prince.

On ‘Mariah’s World’: I’ve become more comfortable with it. In the beginning I was like, ‘Fine, we can document the tour, we can show what’s happening behind the scenes, with the singers, the dancers, the this, the that. You can see me when I’m on stage, I’ll talk—blah blah blah.’ But what I started to realize is that my best moments are off the cuff.
On her split from Nick Cannon: I never thought I would either, but I never thought I would have babies with someone and then get divorced. Like, ‘Oh, great job. Repeat your past.’ … But life happens and it was supposed to happen. It’s fine. For [my children], I wish it hadn’t happened that way. For me, it was [singing Johnny Mathis and Deniece Williams’ “Too Much, Too Little, Too Late”] Guess it’s over. Call it a day.
On her relationship with fiancé James Packer: I don’t expect him to be at every little thing that I do, and vice versa. He’s got a lot of stuff on his plate and so do I. There’s a mutual understanding … He’s a private businessman and there are a lot of things with his companies that I just can’t talk about. It’s just not good for me to do.
On Prince: Prince was one of the best people I’ve met … He didn’t care about the big system. I was always like, at any time Prince could write a No. 1 song, because he’s that talented, but he chooses to do what he wants. I respect that. He actually helped me through a lot of situations with his knowledge. He always had a plan. I just can’t believe he’s gone. I was hoping that it was a trick that he was pulling—that it didn’t really happen.

The "Don't Be Tardy" star donned an all-black ensemble with oversize sunglasses and wore her long blond hair in loose curls while navigating her husband Kroy Biermann and their three oldest children, daughters Brielle and Ariana and son Kroy Jr., through the airport.
While waiting for their flight, the reality TV star took to Snapchat to share a few selfie videos, including one in which she explained that she'd worn giant shades to hide the fact that she wasn't wearing any makeup except for lipstick.
Or maybe she just wanted our full attention on her lips!
According to People magazine, the mother of six paid a visit to her plastic surgeon, Dr. Garo Kassabian, during her visit to the City of Angels. She reportedly chronicled the appointment -- during which she apparently plumed her pout -- on Snapchat.
Kim is no stranger to undergoing procedures to enhance her appearance.
"I will always nip and tuck if I feel the need to do so," the wig enthusiast told E! News in May 2016. "I'm open about it. I don't care. You only go around one time, and I especially understand that."
But the "Real Housewives of Atlanta" alum maintains that though she's had lip injections, she's never gone under the knife (to change her face, at least).
"I have not had surgery on my face period!!!!" she tweeted in June 2015 after a report surfaced alleging that she'd gotten a "full facelift."
Kim has previously fessed up to multiple breast augmentations and a tummy tuck after the birth of her twins Kane and Kaia.
"So it's been three weeks since I had my surgery, my boobs are perky, my stomach is super tight. It feels like I'm 20 again,'" gushed the reality TV star in a 2014 episode of "Don't Be Tardy."
"I look f------ amazing," she enthused at the time.
Well, we can't argue with that!
The blond beauty even introduced her oldest daughter, Brielle, to lip injections. In November 2015, Kim's mini-me took to Instagram to share a time-lapse video of herself undergoing the semi-invasive procedure.

#EMPIRE: Will Jamal leave singing business in Season 3?
Meanwhile, Jamal Lyon (Jussie Smollett) promised to never sing again until his family stops the violence.
Showrunner Ilene Chaiken tells TVLine.com that Jamal will keep his word.
“The question now is, can Jamal also bring his brothers and his mother along with him on this stance, and say ‘This is no longer how we have to go about our lives and our business?'” she asks.
Jamal’s Recovery: Jamal has to recover from a bullet wound because Freda Gatz (Bre-Z) tried to shoot Luscious for killing her father Frankie (Chris Rock).
Although Jamal is angry that he was caught in the crossfire, he may still reach out to Freda to stop the violence.
“It’s not over,” Chaiken says. “Jamal understand she’s a victim, but he still has to deal with the fact that she shot him. It was a hugely traumatizing event that she perpetrated on him. But he believes in her and in the mission of ending the cycle. So he’s going to have to do something about it.”
“Empire” returns to FOX on Wednesday Sept. 21 at 9 p.m.

Star Jones Shows Off New Man: ‘I’m Not Married, but We’re Together’
*Star Jones was spotted at an event with two new men in her life – her boyfriend Ricardo Lugo and his son, Jake.
“This is my family,” she told People.com at Saturday’s 8th Annual Children’s Museum of the East End Family Affair in Bridgehampton, New York. “I’m not married, but we’re together.”
Asked if she’d prefer the term “life partner” to describe her relationship with Lugo, she replied, “That’s a cool way to put it. That’s a good one.”
Jones also her upcoming show on VH1 based on her book Satan’s Sisters.
“It is basically an insiders look at daytime television,” she said. “So it’s a show within a show. Vanessa [Williams] plays the lead character, Maxine Robinson, who is the most formidable broadcast journalist in the history of television.
“Satan’s Sisters” will debut on VH1 in 2017.
Guess Who’s Playing Gianni Versace In a New Biopic?
A new unauthorized biopic on the life of late Italian fashion designer Gianni Versace has found its leading man in Antonio Banderas.
The Spanish-American actor signed on to play the iconic designer last year and began filming scenes in Milan around December, before production moves to Reggio Calabria, the southern town where Versace was born and then to Miami, where he was murdered by a serial killer in 1997.
Banderas shocked the fashion world last year when he enrolled as a fashion student at the renown Central Saint Martins university. In May, he presented his first 30-piece collection with Scandinavian label Selected at a presentation in London.
Speaking with 1granary at the time, Banderas said he began pursuing fashion because he’s “done 92 movies” and “there were other things in my life that I was interested in.”
He added that much of the designs were actually influenced by Versace’s early designs.
“Probably one of the happiest times of my life was the Eighties, and I remember Versace putting gold with leather,” he told Women’s Wear Daily.
“I had this in mind, so we wanted to add the gold color, it’s those little details. I love motorcycles, I ride motorcycles, so we wanted to have a jacket that I can use and people with bikes can use for that purpose.”

Tyrese Partners With Coca-Cola To Give Teens A Brighter Future
Tyrese is paying it forward. The Fast 8 star takes it back to where it all started for him, partnering with Coca-Cola for its 2016 Pay It Forward program – which provides with a $5,000 scholarship and a celebrity mentor.
He attended the 2016 Coca-Cola Pay It Forward Academy in Atlanta this past weekend, where he offered life-changing advice to a group of teens. According to a release, he “shared personal experiences of how he overcame challenges, gave tips on how to be successful and reminded them to never lose sight of their dreams.”
The Academy also awarded all 25 teens with a $5,000 scholarship to assist with higher education needs.
“Boots on the ground pointing UP and giving all the glory to God!!!! I love directly exchanging love and inspiration to our future generation,” Tyrese captioned the above photo,which he shared on Instagram. “Congratulations to the 2016 Coca-Cola Pay it Forward Academy scholars! I had an awesome time hanging out with each and every one of you. I can’t wait to see the amazing things you do in this world!”
