BUT FOR A JOKE: Miss Piggy & Kermit Make A Convincing Imitation Of "Kimye's" Vogue Cover
Creating a fun spoof of Vogue's latest issue, Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy are featured on their own rendition of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's cover photo!
The beloved Muppet's stars appear front-and-center, with Miss Piggy taking up the majority of the snapshot, as would any gal on her wedding day, and Kermit holds her tightly, each of them smiling.
Miss Piggy uploaded the pic to her Facebook page with a caption that read, "Kermie and Moi are honored to be featured on the cover of Vague as the #UniversesMostTalkedAboutCouple!! (Are you surprised, though?)."
Kermit and Piggy's latest flick, "Muppets Most Wanted" released in theaters today, and its synopsis states, "While on a grand world tour, The Muppets find themselves wrapped into an European jewel-heist caper headed by a Kermit the Frog look-alike and his dastardly sidekick."
Developing: Phaedra Parks And Apollo Nida Divorcing: 'RHOA' Calling It Quits Amid Legal Troubles:
According to a new report from RumorFix.com, Parks has separated from her husband of two years, Apollo Nida. Nida ran into serious legal issues in January, being arrested and charged for fraud and identity theft. Nida currently remains on house arrest ahead of his trial for the charges. Phaedra has also experienced a slightly fallout from her husband’s legal troubles, with the lawyer reportedly attempting to clear herself of any charges in connection to Nida’s case.
Recently, Nida appeared before the U.S. District Court in Atlanta, facing charges for bank fraud and identity theft. Nida was released on a pretrial bond of $25,000. Since his arrest, Parks’ social media feeds have been glaringly absent of any photos with her husband.
While Nida is scheduled to return to court for his federal trial on March 25, parks has been busy with a book tour for her advice guide, "Secrets of a Southern Belle." The book was released last year, and the timing of the tour has left many speculating about the state of the pair’s marriage.
Neither Nida nor Parks camps have commented on the divorce rumors.

Quarterback Michael Vick Signs One-Year, $5 Million Deal with NY Jets
*If you haven’t heard, quarterback Michael Vick is now a member of the NY Jets. Whether he’ll be backing up Geno Smith or replacing him isn’t certain at this time. What we do know is that Mark Sanchez has been shown the door.
Vick, 33, spent the past five seasons with the Eagles, inked a one-year, $5 million deal, according to a source. Here’s his perspective on what his expectstions are:
“I wouldn’t say that I would necessarily be OK sitting on the bench all year, but I know what I signed up for,” Vick said. “I know what I came to New York to do. First and foremost, I came to compete and be a helping hand for Geno.”
Vick, who visited the Jets’ facility in Florham Park on Friday before signing on the dotted line, will be reunited with offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg after they spent four years together in Philadelphia. Vick’s familiarity with Mornhinweg’s West Coast offense made him the ideal fit for a team that lacked a viable backup option last season.
“He’s here in a role where he’s going to compete and push Geno Smith to become the very best that he can be,” Mornhinweg said in a statement.
Meanwhile, Vick penned the following farewell letter to Eagles fans, via Philly.com:
I would like to thank the Eagles and the entire city of Philadelphia. I was honored to be their quarterback and took the privilege to heart every day. I especially want to thank Jeffrey Lurie and Andy Reid, who gave me the opportunity. I want to thank my teammates, who were not just coworkers, but friends. I also want to thank the millions of fans who cheered and supported our team.
People say Philadelphia fans are tough. I say they are fair. A player is not judged solely by his past or promises of the future, but by his actions today, and the next day, and the next.
In my time volunteering, I have met Philadelphia’s heroes. I’ve met at-risk children with few resources, but with teachers tirelessly helping them make the most of a second chance. I’ve seen the work of volunteers at school fund-raisers, food drives, after-school programs, hurricane shelters, Toys for Tots campaigns, Boys and Girls Clubs, and the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, and the meaningful work of the Humane Society of the United States. I’ve seen children choosing the mentorship of a football coach over peer pressure on a street corner. One of the best examples of a community deserving a second chance is the North Philadelphia Aztecs youth football team. As the players step onto Team Vick Field, they can hold their heads high and be proud that they are making Philly stronger.
The Eagles are an outstanding organization with a bright future, and I’m thankful for all the friendship, love, and support they gave me and my family. I look forward to seeing great things from them both on the field and in the community.
Lindsay Lohan Slams Report About Firing Sober Coach
Clearing the air from recent rumors about her parting ways with her sober coach Michael Cormier, Lindsay Lohan slamed RadarOnline for its false report
The tabloid recently published a story about the “Mean Girls” star and how she fired Cormier immediately after she completed shooting her documentary series “Lindsay.”
A source supposedly told Radar, “As soon as the cameras were packed up, Lindsay gave Michael the pink slip, and he hasn’t heard from her since.”
The “insider” continued, “It was important for Lindsay to show the world while she was filming the reality for OWN that she was sober. Having Michael there gave her a lot of credibility and support when she needed it.”
After catching wind of the rather dramatic gossip, the 27-year-old actress took to her Twitter and wrote, “Haven’t seen Michael since filming? Then who is this guy I JUST saw 2 days ago? Sort ya life @radar_online.”
In addition to her tweet, Lohan attached a link to her Instagram account that revealed a picture of her, her coach and a friend that she posted on Monday.
First Lady Michelle, Sasha & Malia Obama Make MAJOR Arrival Into China!
Here's one way to spend Spring Break. While plenty of kiddies their age are sending the week watching tv, sleeping in and maybe hitting a beach, Sasha & Malia Obama are flying on Air Force 1 all the way to China!
The Obama women, as well as First Granny Marian Robinson, were spotted hopping off of the Presidential air craft in Beijing on Thursday to meet with the wife of China's President Xi Jinping.
The ladies are scheduled to visit plenty of schools, universities, and participate in discussions and events with Peng Liyuan, who is also regarded as a super stylish First Lady.
Bringing the whole family along was also a strategic move and show of support of traditional family culture. In China, and in much of South-East Asian countries, families have multi-generational households and grandparents are seen as secondary care providers, much like Mrs. Robinson has been in the White House.
FLOTUS' chief of staff Tina Tchen said in a press release, "I think they understand the significance as well of family and of three generations of family traveling together, which I think the Chinese will appreciate, and will appreciate the ties and the bonds that the Obama family have with one another across generations,’
FLOTUS was spotted greeting Max Baucus, the US' new ambassador to China, as everyone hopped off the plane.
Brooklyn Nets Players Attend Sneaker Art Competition
The Brooklyn Nets are 10-3 since Jason Collins joined the fold and great success makes them even more popular in their local community. Players Andrei Kirilenko, Marcus Thornton, and Marquis Teague recently participated in the second annual urban art competition and not only enriched the lives of all the youth present, they also tested their finesse skills with a paintbrush, opposed to a finger roll.
Global Artists Coalition is a non-profit extension of Hip Hop USA and alongside the Brooklyn Nets Assist program, they helped local artists express their talent within Hip-Hop's mighty culture.
All the participants on hand got the opportunity to design Brooklyn Nets themed basketballs and custom sneakers, where the winners were awarded an assortment of goods courtesy of the thriving ball club. The event transpired on Tuesday, March 18 at Luntey Commons, LIU Brooklyn, 1 University Plaza. It was even catered by one of the Nets' sponsors, Baked In Brooklyn.
D.C. Assault Victim May Help Chris Brown Leave Jail Early
Some potential good new for Chris Brown has been reported. According to TMZ, the 24-year-old is closer to being released from jail. As previously reported, last week after being kicked out of rehab, a judge ordered him to stay in court until his DC assault trial.
Reportedly, Chris’ lawyer, Mark Geragos, has contacted the lawyer for the man who claims Chris assaulted him in D.C., breaking his nose, and offered him a settlement, which of course includes monetary compensation.
The site reports:
We’re told Geragos is gunning for a civil settlement … which could very well mean the broken nose guy would tell prosecutors he no longer has an interest in pursuing the criminal case. And our sources say prosecutors are aware of the civil settlement negotiations. We’re told Geragos may have already sealed the deal but if not … it should be done in a day or 2. So here’s the likely resolution. The alleged victim gets a ton of money (our educated guess is several hundred thousand dollars), D.C. prosecutors drop the criminal assault case and the Rihanna judge then lets Chris out of jail either late this week or early next.
Only time will tell if this tactic works in his favor. Stay tuned.
American Ferrara and Rosario Dawson DAZZLES in White at premiere of Cesar Chavez
She rose to fame as the geeky girl in the hit series Ugly Betty.
But America Ferrera proved those days are far behind her as she attended the premiere of Cesar Chavez in Hollywood.
The 29-year-old actress displayed her slender shape in a strapless pale yellow and pink dress.
The brunette beauty opted out of wearing a necklace and styled her locks into a relaxed ponytail.
America brightened up her pastel dress with a pair of coral heels that matched her lipstick and manicure.
Coordinating with her co-star, Rosario wore a pale pink down that similarly plunged at the neckline.
This seems to be a pattern as they promote their film - which is a biopic of Mexican-American civil right activist and labor organizer Cesar Chavez - as the pair also matched at the premiere in Washington D.C..
She recently told the New York Daily News how the film ‘humanised’ the story of the Mexican rights leader.
'Diego touched on a lot of different aspects of the movement, and the reality and the temperature of the time, as well as the day-to-day sacrifices that everyone had to take on.'
'The film doesn't idolise anyone, it doesn't put anyone on some sort of false pedestal. I think he humanized the entire process.'
Cesar Chavez is set for release in the US on March 28.
LisaRaye & Da Brat Hit The Club To Celebrate YG's Album Release
Da Brat, LisaRaye, Gloria Govan and a few others celebrated the release of YG's latest album
The "guest list" for YG's "My Krazy Life" release party included a few celebs who must have been "released" from witness protection programs (since we rarely see them and all).
Among the bold-faced regulars at the party was ATL's own Young Jeezy who hopped on the mic at LA Supperclub to congratulate "My N*gga" rapper YG.
Da Brat made a rare appearance on the party scene. We wonder if she's made a dent in that $6.4M settlement she's been ordered to cough up.
Her half-sister LisaRaye was spotted there as well wearing all white as usual. We don't suspect LisaRaye will be loaning Da Brat any money since "Single Ladies" got cancelled. SIDEBAR: Is the half naked chick in the back a bottle waitress/stripper/something? We all know Brat doesn't like those kind...
Now that she's no longer on reality tv, we rarely see Gloria Govan. But she came out with her NBA hubby Matt Barnes.
Where has former "In Living Color" star Tommy Davidson been? He was there boo'd up with a chick who looked really happy to pose for a pic.

WOW!
Did Dick Ckark Threatene Don Cornelius to get rid of Soul Train for his Own show?
Dick Clark, who dominated TV for teens with his lily-white American Bandstand, tried to have Don Cornelius’ all-black Soul Train taken off the air--and replaced with his own knockoff, Soul Unlimited.
Soul Train, the brainchild of producer and host Cornelius, debuted in 1971 and ran for 35 years.
‘The impact of Soul Train on the television landscape was not lost on Dick Clark. By 1973, Clark was no longer just cherry-picking talent [from Soul Train] but actively trying to co-opt Cornelius’s franchise by launching his own black-themed dance show, Soul Unlimited,' according to a new book, The Hippest Trip In America, Soul Train by Nelson George.
Clark launched a special episode of his copycat show and despite it being amateurish, with ‘Clark’s power in the record and television industry, including the backing of ABC, this rip-off could have proved fatal to Cornelius’s dream’, the author writes.
Clark’s power move outraged black political leaders who along with the black community believed that having a black-owned show on television was not only cool, but an extension of the civil rights movement.
Led by Chicago’s Reverend Jesse Jackson, they contacted Clark and ABC executives to protest. ‘The idea that Clark, with whom blacks had always had an uneasy relationship, could kill Soul Train led to threats of an ABC boycott’, George writes.
Black leaders were joined by one of the most powerful men in the history of the black music business—and also a consultant to ABC, Clarence Avant, who went ballistic when he learned about Clark’s power move.
Avant was invited by Clark to a meeting to discuss Soul Unlimited. ‘Clark wanted my okay’, Avant recalled. ‘He wanted me to endorse his idea. I freaked out. If you do this, there’s no Don Cornelius’, I told him. We had just gotten free enough to have something on TV.
‘I told Dick Clark no – I would not endorse his show’.
Avant then set up a meeting with top ABC executives in New York and met with ABC chairman and founder Leonard Goldenson and president Eldon H. Rule.'I was very upset, very upset. If Dick Clark had been allowed to do it, then there would have been no Don Cornelius’, the author quotes Avant.
Avant received a threatening letter from William Morris Agency that represented Dick Clark Productions telling him to stay out of their business. But Avant was a powerful force behind the scene in the black music business in the early 1970s and would not be intimidated.
Don Cornelius would never speak to Clark again and Soul Unlimited was dead in the water.
Soul Train was platform shoes, applejack caps, a living gallery of Afro hairdos and bellbottoms….’It’s gonna be a stone gas, honey ‘– was the promise the deep-voiced Don Cornelius made when the Saturday morning television show debuted.
He had the vision that black music and dancing would be captivating on TV and he was presenting black people in a positive way, showcasing very sexy, young African Americans dancing to the latest R&B, funk, jazz, disco and gospel music.
‘The key ingredient for the success of Soul Train was that it’s very solidly based on black music’, Cornelius told the author before his suicide in 2012.
‘These were the best dance records made for our beginning period, our second decade, our third decade and any future decades. The best dance records made during those periods were black records. Made by black artists, black singers, black musicians. The best dance music was our folks. We just played the best dance records possible’.
Michael Jackson never appeared on the show, but he copied a backsliding dance that was performed on Soul Train by the Electric Boogaloos and Michael dubbed it the moonwalk. When Jackson appearance on NBC’s broadcast of Motown 25, a celebration of Barry Gordy’s label in 1983, he did what is actually the backslide.
That dance had debuted on Soul Train in 1979.‘What they call the moonwalk is not the moonwalk’, Electric Boogaloo member Robot Dane said. ‘It’s the backslide. The moonwalk actually looks like you’re walking on the moon, like Marcel Marceau…Backsliding is you’re going backwards.’
The best black artists wanted to be on the pulsating “Sooooooollllll Train! James Brown, the Godfather of soul came on making the show a crucial stop for established stars.
Barry White followed, Al Green, Marvin Gaye, Smokey Robinson, Jermaine Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Patti LaBelle, Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes, the Spinners…even Elton John and David Bowie asked to be on the hottest and sexiest dance show on television.
What went on behind the scenes of the Saturday morning show that Cornelius considered a black American Bandstand was so hot, recording artists asked to be on the show so they could get close to the dancers. It was the hypersexual atmosphere of Los Angeles in the 1970s and ‘80s.
Smokey Robinson was reportedly so hot for one Soul Train dancer, she inspired him to write ‘The Agony and the Ecstasy,’ and Marvin Gay wrote his album I Want You inspired by a seventeen-year-old dancer named Jan he would later marry.
Cornelius tried to discourage the barely legal female dancers from hooking up with singers and musicians they met on the show. He didn’t want Soul Train to be considered a home base for groupies or a hookup spot. But he had a hard time enforcing it.
A number of dancers on the show were gay and Cornelius just accepted it. So black gay culture had a platform and Soul Train introduced gay culture to the masses.
Dancer Jody Watley told the author: ‘Soul Train had an obvious black male gay culture going on, and for that reason the show was also quite forward. Don allowed everyone to be themselves on camera’.
One popular dance on the show was called waacking, moving arms and hands through the air like a fan with great speed with elbows bent and arms twirling.
Popular Soul Train dancer, Tyrone Proctor, brought these dances back from the gay clubs. Another popular dance on the show, the bump, also came out of gay clubs.
Actress/dancer/choreographer Rosie Perez grabbed the spotlight on Soul Train at age 19 when she came out to LA from Brooklyn. Rosie was viewed as being aggressive and sexy, ‘like a machine gun.’ Other dancers were intimidated at first and weren’t initially kind.
'Don Cornelius did not want to see how I really danced’, said Perez. ‘I was doing hip-hop, and it was foreign to people out in California. They only knew about popping and locking, so they were not keen on hip-hop dancing.
‘Then I had to dance in high heels, and I never danced in high heels before, and I had this little tiny short dress, and it’s riding up my ass and I’m like, Oh my God. I couldn’t move.
‘The first couple of times, I didn’t know what the hell I was doing. I was just excited and nervous and scared and just elated. That was my style. A bunch of nerves just oozing out of my body.
‘I was very proud of my body back then. I was hot’.
Cornelius wanted Rosie to join a female vocal trio he was putting together and sign a contract. She refused even after he took her out to dinner. She didn’t dance again on the show but a lucky break came for her when she was visiting the show and dancing by herself in the corner. She was spotted by record company executive from MCA and signed a choreography contract to teach singers how to dance.
‘That was the beginning of my choreography career’, Rosie says. ‘That’s how it all started. It started from Soul Train’.
Grammy winning singer/songwriter Jody Watley began as a Soul Train dancer. When her family moved out to Los Angeles, she was fourteen and desperate to get on the show. When she finally made it, she became a celebrity and made fun of at school for the outfits that she wore.
‘You just have to be fearless. Not really minding if you might be ridiculed for wearing something. You’re not afraid to be who you really are’. She was on the show for three years and auditioned for a record label – which set her major recording career in motion.
Nick Cannon, now married to Mariah Carey stated he came out of the womb watching Soul Train. He danced on the show and would return as performer. It was the thrill of a lifetime, he says.
In the early 1980s, Don Cornelius was diagnosed with a congenital malformation of the blood vessels in his brain, a life-threatening condition. He underwent a twenty-one hour operation in November, 1982. He was back at work six months later. In 2001, he had married Viktoria Chapman, a statuesque Russian blonde who flaunted her deep cleavage. She was a former Miss Ukraine who had modeled in Russia before hooking up with Don.
By 2006, Cornelius wanted out of the business and he called Avant. He knew the music scene had moved on. The syndication model that Soul Train used was outmoded in the twenty first century
It needed to be contemporary like American Idol. Cornelius sold Soul Train in the spring of 2008. He was 71 and a very rich man.
Chapman filed for divorce in 2007 and while the couple were estranged, she pepper sprayed Cornelius after heated arguments in 2008 at their Mulholland Drive house and she took out restraining orders on him.
He was formally charged with spousal abuse and placed on 36-month probation. The divorce was final in May 2009 and he was ordered to pay her $10,000 a month in spousal support, buy her a home not to exceed $1,095,000, and pay tuition fees for her daughter adopted by Cornelius.
When Don grew despondent several years later, friends suggested it was due to a cancer scare. On February 2, 2012, he was found dead with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. He was seventy-five.
Since late in 2012, Magic Johnson has become a spokesman for the Soul Train brand and is trying to launch a new weekly show and produce a biographical film on Cornelius.
When Don Cornelius first landed a job at Chicago’s WVON as a news reader and street reporter, he covered the civil rights movement with Dr. Martin Luther King and the riots in 1968. He walked down a Chicago street with King.
It was always in his head that he wanted to help black talent get on television and be featured in a positive way. It bothered him that blacks were featured in a negative way and thought he could change that.
And he did…with 35 years of ‘love, peace and soul…..’
